The Oxford College of Arts welcomes students to its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of BA, MA Journalism and Mass Communication and Master of Social Work (MSW). Started in the year 2006, with just one combination of the BA programme, the college now runs three combinations of the BA programme and two postgraduate programmes.

The programmes of the School are designed to nurture media professionals through sustained and intensive practical and theoretical lessons. The School has qualified and experienced teachers to ensure all round development of the students. The school runs undergraduate (BJMC) and postgraduate (MJMC) programmes in Journalism and Mass Communication. Also it offers short term courses in Broadcast Journalism and Videography.

SDM College was a brainchild of the then Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala, Sri D Ratnavarma Heggade. Established in 1966 at a very small scale at Siddavana Gurukula was affiliated to Mysore University. It is affiliated to the Mangalore university since 1989. 

The International College for Girls (ICG), a pioneer institution for women education, was founded in the year 1995 as an affiliated college to the University of Rajasthan. Started with just 56 girls and seven members of staff, it became a Postgraduate College in 1999. Today, ICG stands tall with over 3500 students on roll, 208 faculty members and 46 support-staff (technical & non-teaching).

Pursuit for excellence in higher education at ICG got due recognition by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC),[Notification].an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
