Birla College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Kalyan, a multi faculty premier institution of higher learning, with an enrolment of more than 9,500 students (5,500 for UG, PG and Research Programmes) is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The College was established in 1972, by Kalyan Citizens’ Education Society with the blessings of Syt. B. K. Birla ji and Late Smt. Sarala ji Birla.

Birla College offers several Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programmes in Arts, Science and Commerce and Ph. D. in Botany, Biotechnology, Physics, Microbiology, Chemistry, Zoology, Hindi, History and Economics. The College also conducts PG Diploma in Bio – nanotechnology and PGDMLT programme. The College has started a Community College for Diploma in Accounting and Taxation (sanctioned by UGC) from 2015 – 16.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandir is an autonomous degree college affiliated to the University of Calcutta. Established in 1941, it has 72 academic staff.

The college offers MBA and MCA courses under the self-financing wing. At the research level, the institution offers M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in 8 departments. The departments offer value-added ICT-enabled certificate programmes after class hours for final year students.

Maharaja Agrasen College was established in 1994 and is fully funded by the Government of Delhi. In 2013, Maharaja Agrasen College was awarded with the Best College Award by the University of Delhi for its good practices towards creating the best academic environment.

The college started out in 1991 in South Delhi with just four rooms in an SPS structure in RK Puram, 80 students and just two courses. In 1992, the college moved to its current premises in Govindpuri, Kalkaji where it started a host of different courses.
