Everyone reacts separately towards death. As we grow from innocence to maturity our understanding towards things evolves. Necrophbia refers to the fear of death or dead things. From childhood death is explained in some hypothetical way to all of us. Usually as we grow our attachments get intensity and a fear to lose the closest one starts to thread us. The fear can come from the near death experience, or some dead body or some dead pictures and so on. There are differences between fear. Some people get scared by dead bodies or dead things but some are not afraid of dead thing or skeletons but the dying process and mortality. Once they experience a dying process they can’t forget that and eventually it gives way to anxiety. The signs of Necriphobia are

  • Anxiety, headaches , vomiting, trembling after you see or hear something related to death
  • Sweating and mouth drying once you experience something related to death

Most of the time when we get scared of something, we just feel scared rather then finding a way out. So, if we can spot which situations are exactly triggering us to think about death, it will be helpful to cure.

Start comparing your fear with the though of death

Some objects, emotion, situation influence is to think about death. It can be some food or some dress even some smell. For instance, a food dish can remind you the situation of your loved one’s death because the same food was served curing the funeral. The relation can be subtle but the thoughts are very strong.
