Everybody in some point or the other feels the pressure of being burdened with certain responsibilities and social roles that they have to play in order to be able to get the “good citizen” tag.

However, at times it becomes really stressful to deal with negative energy which comes along with a sense of getting distracted and losing focus in life. 2. Take a break from your cellphone

Although it is true that cellphones have made our life way easier that it was earlier but nothing takes place without repercussions and consequences. Cellphones have emerged to become our best friends as well as our worst enemy these days. It gets really difficult for us to stay away from our phone even for one or two hours. This has taken a harmful turn and everyone should at least start keeping their phones away for some time while spending time with themselves or reading a book or maybe having a conversation with a family member. Avoiding cellphones for some time in the day can be really helpful and effective as far as metal peace is concerned.
3. Get rid of toxic people

This is one of the most important steps that can be taken as a part of self care. In order to avoid distractions in life, one must recognize the people who are harmful for their physical and mental health and get rid of them as soon as possible. Toxic people make our lives harder and it also makes it way more difficult to deal with than it already is. They tend to manipulate is into thinking about certain things from their perspectives which is extremely harmful for our mental health. Therefore it is very important to walk away from these people no matter how hard it gets.
4. Read and write

No matter which profession you happen to have, a habit of reading and writing can possibly be the most positive thing you can do to yourself. Maintaining a journal can also be helpful. Reading short stories or poems have also been proved to be stress releasing. Take up a book from your favorite genre and maybe write how your day was to start with. You will see how it changes you life.
