COACH WAS ONCE A LEARNER

Everything is a copy of a copy of a copy and the same continues.Experience comes and grows within and out of a person. Preaching someone also requires having yourself preached at the initial stages of the upbringing of life. Every person who teaches you something was once a learner who has done mistakes and grew from it. Experience makes a person productive with the effective tone they put into what they are pursuing. To be effective, you structure the learning process, explain why your inputs are important, give clear instructions, check for understanding, and handle questions. This is referred to as directive coaching style. On the other end of the continuum, you have facilitative coaching style.

As we’ll see , people with or without experience have to go through the same process as all the others do. While few things do change or remain in this process of naive from fully known person. While directive style lies on positional power, facilitative style draws on personal power. In different coaching situations, depending on requirements, you draw on elements of both direction and facilitation. As a frontline leader, it is extremely important to widen your repertoire by honing your skills of facilitative coaching.
