One of India’s most strenuous treks shrikhand Mahadev trek started on 11 July this year after being closed for 2 years due to a pandemic. It is believed that the Kalash Mansarovar trek is the most difficult trek for pilgrims and after that Shrikhand Mahadev is the one. It is situated at a height of 18570 feet and the jyotirlinga is 75 feet tall. CLOSING DATE FOR SRIKHAND MAHADEV IS 24th July.
Online Registration is available this year
Pilgrims can do online registration this year with a charge of rupees 2 and also had to upload and submit a medical fitness certificate. This is compulsory for all pilgrims, those who cant do online registration also have an offline facility.
How to reach shrikhand
If you are coming from any part of India you have to visit Shimla if you can reach Rampur Bushehr then take the direct bus because after coming to Shimla you have to go Rampur Bushehr. From Rampur Bushehr, you can get a bus to Jalgaon and jaigaon is the place from where trek begins.You have to trek 35km from one side and 35 while returning so it is a total of 70 km trek which can take around 4 days to complete it. If you are planning to go there try to go as early as possible because the trek is called off sometimes due to heavy rain. Hope you have a exciting trek! .
