Model Engineering College, Kochi, was established in 1989 by the Institute of Human Resource Development to provide quality engineering education in the industrial centre of Kerala. It was established as a self-financing college. The design of the main building was inspired from India\’s first satellite, the Aryabhatta.

Set up in 1926, Andhra University is not just one of the oldest educational institutions in the country, but is also the first to be conceived as a residential and teaching-cum-affiliating University, mainly devoted to post-graduate teaching and research. The University is spread over 422 acres with 121 buildings of Academic, Administrative and support services and 324 staff quarters.

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya is one among the 31 NITs in India established under the NIT Act 2007 (Amended 2012) of the Parliament of India as Institutes of National Importance with full funding support from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Established in 2009, National Institute of Technology (NITUK), Uttarakhand, is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technologies in the country. The temporary campus of NITUK is situated in the beautiful valley of Srinagar (Garhwal) at Government Polytechnic. NITUK has extended the temporary campus by fabricating three new buildings and one cricket ground in the old ITI campus. The Institute has got wide space for each Department with construction spread over more than 14,000 sq. meter (1,50,000 sq. feet) of area.

NIT Delhi is an autonomous Institute which functions under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

BIT, Sindri, was started as College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in 1949 at Patna. It was shifted to Sindri in 1950 where it was renamed BIT Sindri. The institute is located 28 kms from Dhanbad railway station linked by rail as well as road. It has a sprawling campus of about 400 acres of land near the eastern bank of river Damodar. There are 25 hostels in the campus, separate hostels for boys and girls, catering the residential requirements of around 3000 undergraduate, postgraduate and research students. The institute is fully residential for students as well as teaching and non-teaching staff.

Started in 1946, the National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysore, is one of the oldest private engineering colleges of the country.

National Institute of Technology, Srinagar, was established in 1960. In 2003, the institute acquired its National Institute of Technology status with deemed to be University and attained full autonomy in its Academics. The Institute is situated at the banks of the Dal Lake, with the Hazratbal Shrine on the other side of the campus.

Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology was established in 1987 as Regional Engineering College. In 2002, it became National Institute of Technology (Deemed University).

The University College of Engineering (UCE) was established in 1929, 11 years after the formation of Osmania University. It was the 6th Engineering College to be established in British India. The College moved to its present permanent building in 1947. Today it is the biggest among the campus colleges of Osmania University. The College was made autonomous in 1994.

Harcourt Butler Technical University Kanpur was established in 2016.

Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, also referred to as NIT, Nagpur, is one of the first six Regional Engineering Colleges established under the scheme sponsored by the Government of India and the Maharashtra State Government. The college was established in June 1960.

Aligarh Muslim University Accredited by NAAC in \’A\’ grade having 12 Faculties viz. Agricultural Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Engineering & Technology, Law etc., each comprising of several Departments of Studies.

NIT, Rourkela, formerly known as the Regional Engineering College, is one of the premier national-level institutions for technical education in the country and is funded by the Government of India.

Established in 1854, the College of Engineering, Pune, is now an autonomous engineering college with permanent affiliation to the University of Pune.
