Prime minister is the head of army. The new policies, strategies made for the army are implemented by the prime minister only. He is responsible for making and implementing foreign policies & rules. During disasters or natural calamities, prime minister is the head of disaster management department also, he takes all the decisions. He is the head of space and research department. Duty of Prime minister is to report to the president about the works done by the ministers, chief ministers at indian and foreign level.
In india, a prime minister is selected for a period of 5 years. Prime minister should be a member of a one of the two houses i.e. “Rajyasabha” or “Lok shabha”. He has to be a member of any of the political party. The prime minister is the member of party who has the majority in lok sabha.
During the tenure of a prime minister, if anything goes wrong with the prime minister and if there is no prime minister of a country at any time then all the works of the ministers are stopped.
Prime minister has so many powers along with huge responsibility on shoulders to handle everything which is not easy.
