MOTHER SENTIMENT SONGS – Part 1

Mothers are always special to everyone. Right from the time of birth, we are always closely attached to our moms. No one can understand, love, and care for a person unconditionally more than a mother does. She is the fundamental need for a child and no one could ever try to replace her place. The relationship of a child and mother is always everlasting and strong than any other relationship as the bond is formed 9 months before birth. So, many beautiful songs portray the astonishing bond between a child and a mother.

Law Against Domestic Violence and Its Prevention

Law Against Domestic Violence

There are several domestic violence laws in India. The earliest law was the Dowry Prohibition Act 1961 which made the act of giving and receiving dowry a crime. In an effort to bolster the 1961 law, two new sections, Section 498A and Section 304B were introduced into the Indian Penal Code in 1983 and 1986. The most recent legislation is the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act (PWDVA) 2005. The PWDVA, a civil law, includes physical, emotional, sexual, verbal, and economic abuse as domestic violence.

On 19 March 2013, the Indian Parliament passed a new law with the goal of more effectively protecting women from sexual violence in India. It came in the form of the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2013, which further amends the Indian Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1973, the Indian Evidence Act of 1872, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The law makes stalking, voyeurism, acid attacks and forcibly disrobing a woman explicit crimes for the first time, provides capital punishment for rapes leading to death, and raises to 20 years from 10 the minimum sentence for gang rape and rapes committed by a police officer.

Protection of Women against Domestic Violence Act, 2005, this is an act of the Indian Parliament enacted to protect women from Domestic Violence. It prohibits a wide range of Physical, Sexual, Emotional & Economical abuse against women and all these are broadly defined under the Act. It provides security to women in a family from men in a family. The extent of the Act covers not only the protection of women who are married to men but also women who are in Live-in-relationship, just as family members including Grandmothers, Mothers, etc. A women has right to be liberated from any type of violence under this Act. Under this law, women can look for security against Domestic Violence, Financial Compensation, Right to live in their mutual house and they can get maintenance from their abuser in case they are living separated.

This law is to guarantee that women don’t get kicked out of their own house and can support themselves if they have been abused. It also ensure the protection of women from their abusers.

Section 498A of the IPC (Indian Penal Code), this is a Criminal Law, which applies to husbands or family members of husband who are merciless to women. Under Section 498A of the IPC, harassment for Dowry by the family members of the husband or by husband is recognized as a Crime. This harassment can be of any type either Physical or Mental. Despite the fact that Marital Rape isn’t considered as a Crime in India, forced sex with one’s wife can be viewed as Cruelty under this Section. Section 498A has a vast scope. It also includes any and all intentional behaviours against a women which force the women to attempt suicide or risk to life or grave injury or risk to limb or overall health. Here, health incorporates the physical and mental health of the women.

Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, this is a Criminal Law that punishes the giving and taking of Dowry. The tradition of dowry itself is banned under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. According to this law, gives, takes or even demands dowry, they can be imprisoned for a half year (i.e. for 6 months) or they can be fined upto Five Thousand Rupees.

Gender discrimination under Law, the domestic abuse laws are claimed to be discriminatory against men by anti-feminists. In particular, Section 498A, the act that criminalizes cruelty against women by husband and his relatives, has been used by anti-feminists in their arguments to justify removing any legal penalty against criminals. Men’s rights activists such as the “Save the family foundation” in India argue that the law is often misused by women. However, a 2012 report on Section 498A from the Government of India found that the empirical study did not establish any disproportionate misuse of Section 498A as compared to other criminal laws. Even though misuse of Section 498A was not established, more recently the Supreme Court came out with directives that every complaint received by the police under Section 498A must be referred to a Family Welfare Committee before the police can arrest the perpetrator.

More glaringly, the law only offers reliefs to women. Men in India cannot avail of a similar legal remedy to protect themselves from domestic violence from either men or women. For men, even a simple relief of having a male or female aggressor stay away from them (a restraining or protection order) is not afforded by the current law. But in 2016 this discrimination was removed by Supreme Court itself. The bench of Justices Kurian Joseph and Rohinton F Nariman ruled on 6 October 2016 that this provision frustrated the objective of the legislation since “perpetrators and abettors of domestic violence” can be women too. The words “adult male” has been struck down from the domestic violence act. However this new definition still did not include men as victims and was later changed back to the original.

MEANING OF LIMBERING DOWN

Short and Long Questions with answers, Training in Sports, Physical education Class 11 Notes | EduRev

Cooling down/limbering down is also called warming-down . To bring the body in normal state after any competition or training is called cooling down. Cooling down allows the body to transit gradually from an exertional state to a resting or near resting state. In fact, cooling down is a necessary activity after training or competition. It involves a specific procedure to bring the body to a normal position . So, after any workout of training or competition, we should not stop the movements of our body immediately . For appropriate cooling down, we should perform jogging as well as walking for 5to10 minutes . This will help in decreasing the body temperature and removing the waste products from the working muscles . After that, static stretching exercises should be performed for 5to10 minutes . Static stretches are more appropriate to cool down as they help muscles to relax, and muscles fibres to realign and also re-establish their normal range of movement . You should stretch all the major muscle groups which you have used during the training or competition. The stretches should be held for 10 to 20 seconds . The repetition of stretch should be done at least 2 to 3 times. As warming-up is essential before training or competition, cooling down or limbering down is also equally essential to bring the body back to the normal position after training or competition. In simple words, it can be said that the cooling down is as important as the warming up. However , it is usually ignored by sportspersons . As a matter of fact, cooling down should not be underestimated at the end of workout.

Daily habits and good qualities

A good man is made of habits that he has been inculcated in his lifelong back. No one becomes successful in a day and one most common observation in every successful person is them following a set routine or daily habits or rituals. It may look like that this is what every other person does but, the only difference is that they do it better than a normal person, they do it with more consistency that is how it turns out to be a lifelong habit.
Two to three good habits which focus on the development of an individual physically, mentally, emotionally or in other aspects can be beneficial in long term. This may include the following-

Experimentation
Not very usual habit but one can always try experimenting things academically, professionally or any other way. For instance- at very basic level a student can experiment with his study time and shifting it from late night to early morning can prove more helpful. Experimentation can provide a better work approach at both personal and professional level.

Changes
Changes are important because an individual does not stay stuck to one thing and things does not remain same for 10 years, it is about including healthy changes in the life for instance – changing to a healthy diet plan can help you stay fit and more active it also promotes a healthy lifestyle. So, one small change can lead to overall betterment.

Consistency
You might have heard consistency is the key, yes, it is. Consistency lets an individual to focus on the goals or the aim, they are less distracted and as consistency becomes a habit results are visible.
For instance- if you practice a trick multiple times for one hour every day gradually you will not only learn it but, master it.

Time management
Another important thing, if the timings are not managed properly then the difference between what is more important and what is less important cannot be spotted at the end of the day. If you are seriously working upon something, then there are at least two to three goals that are set every day and in this case every goal is priority and time should be equally distributed.
As there are high chances of distraction a timetable may help you enjoy and fulfil your goals easily.

Cutting out the negativity
As everyone is stressed and worried for something or the other it is important to cut of every type of negativity that can be toxic. This negativity can be in the form of criticism of society, mental pressure from parents and peers, demotivation factors etc.

Focusing on your path while measuring the small progress that you are making every day is more important and can help tackle such obstacles. It can be difficult initially but, when you are eying on your goal rest of the negativity and even distraction disappears.

Well, there are many more habits and qualities that can be included in the list these are some of the most basic ones whether you are a student, an employee or even a monk habits can make you a better human being.

Mawlynnong- India's pride

Located in the east Khasi hills 90 kilometers away from Shillong, in the state of meghalaya is this small village with around 600 inhabitants , which was acclaimed to be the cleanest village in India in 2005. In 2003, it was also acclaimed as the cleanest village in Asia. Known as “God’s own garden” , this small village has already made a big impact on the world by showing the world how the following of all the rules and living in harmony with the nature can help in making this world a beautiful place to co-exist.

How did Mawlynnong became the cleanest village

Back in 1887 when India was still under the British rule, Mawlynnong suffered from a devastating plague which the villagers believed to be the wrath of evil witches and didn’t knew what to do. According to history, Welsh Christian missionaries from Bangladesh were sent to help the people recover from the plague there. The missionnaries took care of the people and started to educate them. They also told them that the plague was not the result of wrath of evil witches, rather it was extreme uncleannliness in the village which caused that plague. The villagers then started to clean their houses as well as every nook and corner of the village . The tradition continues till date. Interestingly, villagers link the tradition of cleanliness to Christianity. They say it is the missionaries that changed their lives and taught them ways to reach God through cleanliness and since then they follow the religion of Christianity. This is the true model of how the superstitions if used positively can bring a large impact.

The villagers also decided to have drainpipes to efficiently remove the filth from their houses and now every single house has a proper and efficient drainage system.

The streets there have beautifully carved bamboo dustbins outside every house and in every public place. The villagers turn the wet compost from the domestic use into manure which they use to grow the vegetables and fruits. The village is a model of the adequate use of every resource available and the best example of recycle and reuse.

Other highlights of this wonderful village

Rain water harvesting is another feature of the village. When it rains, which is a verycommon thing in the state of Meghalaya people collect rainwater even in bottles. The base of the bottle is cut and the inverted bottle is then hanged at the place where it can capture rain drops. The mouth of the bottle is attached to a pipe which is then connected to the washroom and is used in toliets and to clean the floor.

Proper sanitization is another prominent feature here where every house has proper toilets and even the public toilets are healthily maintained.

Also, the village has a 100% literacy rate. Nelson Mandela once rightly said that EDUCATION IS THE ONLY WEAPON WHICH CAN BE USED TO CHANGE THE WORLD. Mawlynnong being the best example of this proverbial fact.

Last but not the least, The living root bridges are the classic feature of the place which also attracts a large number of tourists every year from across the globe. At a time , when humans talk about science and innovation here is an extra ordinary example of bio engineering made by humans in joint partnership with the nature. This man made root bridge was originally constructed by the villagers to cross the overflowing stream during monsoon by intertwining the thick roots of a variety of rubber tree (Ficus elastica), grown on the other side of the stream. The intertwined roots were then kept in a position over the stream such that it can be crossed. The roots were then covered by large rocks and mud to complete the path. Over the years , as the roots grew the bridge became stronger. Each day when any villager spot a new root merging , they immediately join it with the bridge and hence it continued to become strong and stay still bearing the heavy rains of the North Eastern Monsoon.

To see the bridge, one has to take a simple downward trek where the entry fee of Rs. 10 is taken from each visitor to see the bridge which is used for the village development.

How it manages cleanliness even today

Every day at a designated time no matter what the weather is , an appointed set of sweepers come and clean the nook and corner of the village which takes them around an hour. It is the dedication of the people and the fear that if they violate cleanliness even for a day, curse will fall upon them, is the thing which drives them to continuously strive hard to continue with the old age tradition even today.

A place like Mawlynnong which attracts a large number of tourists each year , the cleanliness and the sanitization is hard to maintain but they do it. Plastic bags, smoking and littering is completely banned in the area. Any violators are bound to pay a mandatory hefty fine and sometimes also serve the prison sentence.

It won’t be wrong to say that MAWLYNNONG IS THE TRUE MODEL OF AN IDEAL BEAUTIFUL PLACE which inspires us in so many ways. It tells us that every effort counts .

People – Purpose

This is not going to be an informative or factual article but it will be a inquisitive article. So sit back, relax and read it as if you are reading something written in someone’s diary, only that you have been allowed to read this one. 🙂

Have you ever taken the time to just sit back and reflect upon all the billions of people you might have encountered till now and how they were all a part of your life at different moments in life? Have you ever wondered if life had been different to all of them? Or had Life been playing the same cards except with different decks for each one of us..?

If you haven’t then I request you to do this just once. The next time (possibly when pandemic ends) you find yourself amongst a humongous swarm of people, just pause for a second or maybe just sit around somewhere and look at them carefully. (Don’t make it obvious that you are staring them please). Just observe the people who might be passing by. Imagine what they might be going through (It’s okay you don’t have to correctly identify their life situation. This ain’t “Kaun Banega Crorepati”. Try to observe and think if all the desires that they had has been fullfilled or is there still something left incomplete within them?

Well, of course you can’t go and ask all the people to tell their life stories to you. But just try to look through. It doesn’t matter if what you see is wrong but just try to perceive one’s desires.

You soon will realise how little your problem means in this swarm of people. How tiny we all are in this numbers that crosses over billions.

Now I’m pretty sure that most of us have sat back and reflected upon our past times and been grateful for the people we have in our lives or maybe brooded about the ones who left us all alone in this battle of life that we are failing to fight.

Among these people, the ones who are now gone, some must have gone for good while some left without any reason as they hardly cared.

In this course of us meeting them and giving them a place in our hearts, we at times must have found ourselves with void without them, as if a big hollow is carved in our chest.

But with these people now gone and time being pretty kind to us, the void starts and we realise no emptiness ever resided there.

And in this filling up of an invisible hollow we come to know our deepest desires and wishes. We come to know that what we thought was never the way it was. We come to know that those people who never cared and left without a flinch doesn’t matter much but are still a part of our beautiful memories.

So this what I think. I think

With people we find our purpose. If we fail to find it, then keep looking. Keep seeing through that swarms of people. Know that all these who were never a part your of social life but still your living life, are also searching for their deepest wishes somewhere. You too should continue to search with them.

You’ll soon come to know that on a road solely chosen by you, you’d still find unknown faces that’ll never be part of “your” life but would still be persons whom you brushed past. You’ll realise that it’s people who’d continue to bring you happiness and people who’d be a part of your purpose. 🙂

Sorry for the incoherence in my chain of thoughts!

TO KEEP THE BODY IN GOOD HEALTH IS DUTY,…. OTHERWISE WE SHALL NOT BE ABLE TO KEEP OUR MIND STRONG AND CLEAR

It is said “Health is wealth”. If health is lost, everything is lost. If health is i’ lost, the capacity to work is lost. Inability to work leads to poverty and misery. On the other hand, if we have health we are able to work and this, in turn, adds to our wealth. Therefore good health is one of the basic foundations on which our lives are built.

𝔾𝕆𝕆𝔻 ℍ𝔼𝔸𝕃𝕋ℍ:

Now-a-days, a good health is just like a boon given by the God. It is very fact that good health is real money of life. Good health is considered as the precious earning of a human throughout his/her life. If one has losses his health, he has lost all the charms of life. A good wealth can be earned anytime using a good health however; a good health can never be earned again in the life if once destroyed. In order to maintain a good health we need to do regular physical exercises, yoga, meditation, balanced food, good thoughts, cleanliness, personal hygiene, regular health check-ups, proper sleep, rest, etc. If one is healthy, he/she does not need spend money on his/her health in buying medicines or visiting doctors. A healthy person just needs to spend some money only on his health on regular basis. However, on the other hand a lazy, diseased or sluggish person needs to spend more money throughout his life

People generally become fail in their life to maintain a good health just because of their lazy and idle habits. They think that what they are doing is right but time has already gone whenever they understand their mistakes. A good health is one which keeps us healthy in all aspects like mentally, physically, socially and intellectually. A good health provides us freedom from all the sickness and diseases. A good health is the feeling of mental, physical and social well being. It is a costly and most precious gift of the life and necessary for living a purposeful life.

A good health reduces the stress level and promotes healthy life without any sufferings. We should always be aware of our health and go for regular health check-up. We should eat balanced food having fresh fruits, salad, green leafy vegetables, milk, egg, dahi, etc in timely manner in order to maintain the good health. A good health also need some daily physical activities, proper rest and sleep, cleanliness, healthy environment, fresh air and water, personal hygiene, etc. In order to reduce our rush between hospital and home, maintain a good health is better idea. Maintaining a good health is a good habit which should be practiced from childhood with the help of parents.

In earlier days, life was not so hectic. It was quite simple and free of too many challenges with healthy environment in comparison to these days. People were healthy as they had to perform all the daily routine activities by their own hand and body. But now, life in the technological world has become easy and comfortable but hectic because of the competitions. Now-a-days, easy life is not possible as everyone wants to earn more money to get better life than others. Now-a-days, living life has become costly and tough as well as unhealthy as everything like air, water, environment, food, etc has become contaminated, infected and polluted.

People have to work for at least 9 to 10 hours in the offices by just sitting on the chair without any physical movement. They come to home in the late evening or night and become too tired to perform any household work or exercise. Again in the morning they get up late from bed and do some necessary works like bath, brush, breakfast, etc and go to their office. In this way, they live their daily routine only to earn money and not their life for themselves. It is very necessary to earn money for fulfilling some basic needs however, it is also necessary to live a healthy and peaceful life which needs a good health.

You can maintain good health by following a balanced and healthy diet. Have a good lifestyle by balancing work and life. You should have a moderate physical fitness regime every day. Go for brisk walks regularly or do other forms of exercise. Also, meditate and be positive to take care of your mental health.

Conclusion

A healthy person can earn lots of money, however, an unhealthy person cannot because of the lack of motivation, interstates and concentration level. Money is the source to live a healthy life however good health is the source to live a happy and peaceful life. So, good health matters a lot, more than the money. We all should maintain our good health to be wealthy in real means.

TECHNOLOGY

Technology is defined as the use of data to create and develop products and equipment that may be used in a variety of ways.

Technology has become an increasingly important aspect of our daily lives. Despite the fact that technology has made life easier for all of us, it has also brought with it a number of negative consequences that we must not overlook. Technology is essentially the means by which we put scientific discoveries into practice and combine them with our personal demands. Technology is a broad term that refers to the various tools, machinery, and equipment that we utilize on a daily basis. Man devised these tools and equipment to make tasks faster, easier, and more comfortable. Science and technology are inextricably linked; progress in one field leads to progress in the other. Science helps to build and produce technical items and equipment that serve humanity through research, experimentation, and observations.

Advantages of Technology in Life:

1. It has aided human growth and development.

2. Inventions and discoveries have improved the quality of life by making it easier, more effective, and more convenient.

3. Technology has connected the entire world, transforming it into a global village.

4. It is a boon to mankind because it is used in every aspect of life.

5. Technology has not only made our lives easier and more comfortable, but it has also contributed significantly to global economic growth.

6. Creative technology, which includes art, design, and advertising, has aided in the promotion of art and design through software applications.

7. Buildings, bridges, and plazas have become easier to design and construct thanks to advancements in architectural technology.

8. Industry has benefited from industrial technology as well.

9. Microtechnology is advancing at a breakneck pace, allowing chips and microelectronics circuits to improve performance and functionality while lowering costs.

10. Medical technology has produced a plethora of diagnostic and treatment devices and instruments. With the use of technology, diseases that were formerly difficult to diagnose and treat are now effectively diagnosed and treated.

Drawbacks of Technology:

While technological improvements are beneficial to us, we now appear to be overly reliant on them.

The following are some examples of technological disadvantages:

1. The use of mobile phones was intended to allow people to communicate in times of crisis. However, we now witness children becoming overly engrossed in various mobile applications, wasting their time.

2. The use of digital technology has been linked to a number of crimes.

3. It has also been observed that many people lack the fundamental education required to ensure proper use of today’s technology. Most of them, in fact, use it for the sake of fashion and hence end up misusing it.

4. People have become so reliant on technology that they are unwilling to engage in any manual labour. People prefer to use technology even for little tasks that can be completed manually. As a result, humans have become both intellectually and physically inert.

Finally, we must acknowledge that science and technology have led human society to the pinnacle of living perfection. However, we must proceed with prudence and in moderation. Misuse of science and technology can lead to negative outcomes. As a result, we must keep an eye on usage and behave wisely.

Economic Benefits of Biodiversity

All of us live in a world where we depend on each other for our needs. Almost all of our needs are met through biodiversity, directly or indirectly. Biodiversity refers to the variability among living organisms from all sources including terrestrial, marine and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part, this includes diversity within species, between species and of ecosystems. Biodiversity in short is our whole environment including flora, fauna, microbes, gases and everything that constitutes our planet earth. It is the foundation of life.

Biodiversity is of great importance when it comes to its economic benefits. Here are some of the economic benefits of biodiversity.

(1) Biodiversity provides us with potential raw materials – Biodiversity provides a great diversity of materials for the construction and fuel including wood, biofuels and plant oils that are directly derived from wild and cultivated plant species.

(2) Food and fresh water – The most important services for the survival of human beings like food and water are provided by the biodiversity. Biodiversity regulates the flow and purification of water.
(3) Organic waste disposal – Biodiversity acts as an organic disposal ground for waste materials, as many things are naturally decomposed in the environment with the help of microbes present in the soil.

(4) Climate and air quality control – Trees provide shade while forests influence rainfall and water availability both locally and regionally. They also play an important role in regulating air quality by removing pollutants from the atmosphere.

(5) Nitrogen fixation – Nitrogen fixation is essential for plant growth and an insufficient quantity of it frequently limits biomass production in both natural and agricultural ecosystems. To increase production of crops, a process called biological nitrogen fixation is implemented through chemical uses, however natural biological nitrogen fixation proves to be healthier and more yielding than the commercial one.

(6) Moderates natural disasters – Extreme weather events or natural hazards include floods, storms, tsunamis, avalanches and landslides. Ecosystems and living organisms create buffer against natural disasters, thereby preventing possible damage. E.g. wetlands can soak up floodwater while trees can stabilize slopes.

(7) Species Habitat – Habitats provide everything that an individual plant or animal needs to survive. Each ecosystem provides different habitats that can be essential for species’ lifecycle.

(8) Medicinal Resources – Ecosystems and their biodiversity provide many medicinal plants used in traditional medicine and as well as provide raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry.

(9) Pollination – Insects and wind pollinate plants and trees, which is essential for propagation and development of fruits, vegetables and seeds.

(10) Biotechnology- Biodiversity has led to an important field of study in science known as biotechnology. Biotechnology refers to the technologies produced from animals, plants and microbes. Biotechnology is of utmost importance because it provides us with various beneficial products and inventions that lead to an advance in our economy and in human life.

(11) Tourism – Ecosystems and biodiversity play an important role for many kinds of tourism, which in turn provides considerable economic benefits and is a vital source of income for many countries.

These are only a few important economic benefits of biodiversity. Biodiversity as a whole has a lot more benefits and is our main sustainer of life. Therefore, we must strive to conserve our biodiversity.

HOW TO CONTROL YOUR EMOTION ?

Benefits of Meditation 101: How To Meditate In Less Time

There is no doubt that emotions play a very important role in the field of games and sports but it is also essential for a sportsperson to have enough control over emotions . If a sportsperson is unable to control his emotion during the competition , it can damage or ruin his sports career . If there is appropriate control over emotions, the emotional energy may be utilised into proper and constructive channels. A number of research studies have shown that we can control our emotions well before the provoking situation occurs. We can prepare ourselves ahead of time. We can take some physical actions , can learn new ways of thinking and understanding how emotions work . Emotions can be controlled up to a desired level by the following methods.

  • Control your breathing : For appropriate control over your emotions you should try to control your breathing whenever you note certain physiological changes such as dry mouth and elevated heart rate . Find a comfortable place. Take a normal breathe first , then start inhalation. Allow your chest to expand as you fill air into your lungs. Take six to ten deep breaths per minute . In this way, you can control your breathing which will ultimately control your emotions .
  • Meditation : Meditation can be used for controlling your emotions. It can be ideal for staying calm in between the rounds of competition . First of all, sit in a comfortable position . After that pick or select a short focus word that has significant meaning for you and that you associate with relaxation . The word may be relax , smooth , calm or easy, etc . Then close your eyes slowly. After that breathe slowly repeating the focus word. Be passive and avoid other thoughts which come into your mind . Continue this process for 10 to 15 times.
  • Repression: Repression means to avoid the undesirable emotions when these arise in an individual . However , there may be some problems in using this method because sometimes the undesirable emotions may enter into unconscious mind and later on these burst spontaneously with greater force.
  • Introspection: It may be applicable for educated individuals . They can introspect themselves in the stages of different emotions. As soon as they start introspection into themselves, emotions are usually vented out .
  • Redirection: Redirection means the change of direction in the display of emotions.

World Heritage

World heritages consist of all the heritage sites that were discovered around the world and the process of exploring and discovering never stops. Pierro Gazallo is the founder of ICOMOS, he is known for working to restore and preserve heritage sites and monuments it was established in the year 1979. ICOMOS gave the suggestion to UNESCO (United National Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) which was approved in the 22nd general conference in 1983.
India
Some of the world heritage sites are Ajanta and Elora caves, western Ghats, Sundarbans national park, Nanda Devi, and valley of flowers, Chola temples etc.
World
Komodo national park (Indonesia), Lut desert (Iran), Meteora (Greece), town of Bamberg (Germany), Levuka Port town (Fiji), Angkor (Cambodia), Brasilia (Brazil), Rainforest of Atsinanana (Madagascar), Chitwan National Park (Nepal) etc.

Recently in news Liverpool lost its status of world heritage site, the reason was the massive construction that occurred around the place despite several warnings issued by UNESCO, the construction includes building complex, Moore Dock Stadium, and offices. The act of removal of a world heritage site is very rare and disgraceful for the country as they failed to protect a heritage site.

CONDITION OF WOMEN IN MODERN WORLD

A woman is the fuel of this world. This world would have stopped if female gender didn't exist. She is an important factor in the cycle of birth and rebirth. It's an unknown secret how the first man and woman came into this world.
From suffering a menstrual cycle for more than half of her life, to being a mother and feeding a child, her role is difficult. It's not difficult because she is a woman. It's difficult because society gave her the status that she is a woman and she is beneath man. She never gave herself that or any other identity.
From sati to the present situation, it's easy to say that the condition of women has improved in society. We can say that it has improved in the field of education and few more. Not in every field. Very few.
The only improvement is that earlier people harassed women openly. They considered them as inferior. There were no laws for upliftment of women. Now there are laws, but not implemented. Neither at that time women revolted, raised voice against violence and harassment of their rights, nor do they revolt today.
I think somewhere women themselves may be responsible for their own poor condition. When you see the same behavior being repeated again and again, you start believing that to be the truth. The same is true with women. Specifically in India. It doesn't matter how much you have developed, your society has developed, standards of living have improved, women are always told that they are inferior and always behind men. This is called the domination of the system. A woman at some point considers herself that she is only meant to give birth to a child, feed the child and her family, even if she is highly educated. She has to cook food along with her job. There is nothing bad in doing so but society doesn't appreciate it. For them it's her responsibility and the woman has to manage both.
The development of the standards of women is a long term war. It's an irony that on one hand the status of women is improving, they are coming forward in every field, they are exploring themselves, they are becoming equal to men, but all this is limited to only a very few women. Total female population according to the 2020 census is 620 million. Barely 10% of women would be having full freedom and liberty to live, love and express it.
Even if the government, law and NGOs are trying to improve the status of women, society does not want to cooperate. Somewhere women too don't want to change the status quo. They would continue feeding family, children and parents. She considers it her responsibility because of love and affection. I am also caught in this dilemma, despite knowing my own rights. How can love and affection be a trap of deteriorating yourself? The best example is women.
India is a country where 70% of the population lives in remote areas or in villages. Most of the people here are either poor or middle class. If the condition of women has improved, it is only for the women of higher class or of middle class that too not completely as equal to man.
Even in higher, middle and lower classes the condition of a large number of women is so harsh that it's hard to express. The ground reality is that women still have no value in society. Men easily dominate them.
I have seen that the girls, when they attain the age of 12-14 get either engaged or married to someone whom they have not even met, nor seen. In this 21st century, after the engagement, these young kiddo girls aren't allowed to come out of the home. They are forced to go hungry and fast for their husbands to be. They live almost a married woman's life at such an early age.
Domestic violence is very much prevalent in India. Women are still beaten by their husbands. Not only the women living in rural areas and uneducated, domestic violence is tolerated by the working women, those who are educated and are married in rich families.
Love marriage, inter-caste marriage is still a sin, which society declared. Girls cannot take decisions on their own. They cannot have a voice of their own. How can one control someone's life so badly?
It's easy to say one must raise a voice for the rights. It is very hard for women in India to convince herself to do so. She could be educated, she could be employed, but what about her freedom? She is controlled financially and emotionally.
Love and affection are the worst trap in which women throw themselves so badly. In the name of respect she gives rights to her husband, her father, her mother, her elders, her in-laws etc. She might feel that they are older and she must obey them. There is a difference between obeying and controlling. People in India take respect and loyalty for granted. They think that they can control a person. If she doesn't get controlled, she doesn't become a puppet, she is not an ideal woman, daughter, sister, wife, daughter in law and all other relationships.
She is important because she is going to give birth to another generation. She doesn't deserve love, respect and freedom simultaneously. If one in many does something against the rules of society she gets tortured even by her family members and beloved. Here's where she feels that all care about the society and status is fake. It's the system which dominates.
It will take centuries for women’s conditions to get better.. Sometimes what you see is not the truth, and what's true cannot be seen. You can just feel how hard it is, especially in Indian society, to play the role of a woman. Despite being a form of goddess to whom every single person praises daily, people abuse each other in her name only by taking the name of a woman i.e mother and sister. Hypocrisy is so strong in people of India.

Studies and Exams during Pandemic

Being a student is never easy. Living up to the parents expectations, constantly being compared to others with better grades and competing with fellow students and friends may sound easy but is really very difficult. Competition has been increasing day by day along with our population. Fees of schools and colleges have been increasing, seats for prestigious universities are decreasing and the number of people fighting for those seats are growing drastically.

Adding to that, this pandemic situation has taken a toll on students and teachers equally. But students being on the receiving end from each and every side. Teachers and parents used to scold children for spending time in front of TV’s, computers and mobile phones. They used to tell us that it is not good for our eyes and we may get headache, weak eyesight, etc. But now, the very same teachers and parents are asking us to spend hours in front of those small screens daily.

An average student has to spend a minimum of 6 hours a day in front of his mobile or computer screens to attend his online lectures. He then has to finish boatload of assignments and homework which have to be submitted the following day. Keeping all those aside, he even has to attend to exams physically, all the way to his examination hall. Now, a student has to risk his life to write an exam.

Being prepared mentally and physically for all those exams is not a cake walk for any student. He has to bear his headaches caused due to online classes, manage his workload of assignments and studies simultaneously. Preparing the notes on his own or studying again from his mobile will one day weaken his eyes and damage his nerves. Leading such a stressful lives and yet being scolded for bad results can only be possible by a student.

Take regular breaks from classes and try to lighten your workload. Ask anyone for help if you are feeling stressed or depressed. It is okay to take a temporary break from your life and enjoy everything. Update everything about yourself to any close friend to make him know if you are facing any difficulties. This is your life and no one will scold you for being you.

COLD WAR

After the Second World War, the USA and the USSR were the two supreme powers in the world. Hence, both these nations tried to reduce the power of the other indirectly.

The competition between the two nations brought about the Cold War. America was the leader of all the Capitalist countries, and Soviet Russia was the leader of all the communist countries. Hence, both countries continued their rivalry.

Cold War was the state of mounting tension between the USA and Soviet Russia after the Second World War was over for Supremacy in the world as the Super Power. The United States of America became the representative of the capitalist countries, and the Soviet Union Russia became the representative of communism. Hence, there was an ongoing rivalry between the two great powers. Since this rivalry did not result in a war, but only in diplomatic incidents, it is called the Cold War.

Cold War is a term used to describe the tension between two parties but an absence of any quarrels. It is also used to describe the tactics nations use against each other as a diplomatic war.

When Hitler invaded Russia, Roosevelt, the then President of the United States sent supplies for the troops. It could have started the degradation of the relationship between the USA and Russia. When Stalin defeated Germany and wanted to implement communism, he was suspected, and since then, suspicion arose between the western countries and Russia. Hence, Cold Was began.

The United States of America could not accept the communist ideology of Russia. On the other hand, Soviet Russia could not accept the dominance of the USA in other European countries.

After the Second World War, Soviet Russia had manufactured much ammunition and arms. Hence, the USA saw them as a threat and created the atom bomb, hydrogen bomb and other such lethal weapons. Other European countries also participated in the rivalry with Russia, and this divided the world into two halves.

Soviet Russia continued to spread communism is its mass media and wanted to spread it everywhere to encourage their labour revolution. Meanwhile, America helped the capitalists against the communists. The difference in the doctrines led to the intensified Cold War situation.

After the USA bombarded the atom bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Soviet Russia was afraid that they would face similar consequences. Hence, they increased their military and weaponry strength. It also deemed to intensify the Cold War.

When veto was implemented, Soviet Russia used it to reject any statement that the USA made in the UNO council. Hence, the western countries were insulted by it. The incident led to more intensification of the Cold War.

Cold War resulted in the fear and suspicion between Russia and the USA. It created tension between the nations permanently. There were several alliances solely to increase its intensity. Cold War resulted in unnecessary expenditure on military power. It created poverty and decreased the living conditions of people. It is a useless and meaningless war which divided the world in an irreparable way.

Cold Was disturbed world peace. There is still suspicion among these two nations and the counties that support them. It also created a clear demarcation between the first, the second, and the third world counties. It resulted in divided humanity, and there is no perpetual peace partially for this reason.

Cold War was an affair of the 20th century, resulting due to a series of incidents which led to their differences. Some of these incidents were the competition of the western countries to implement capitalism and Soviet Russia trying to propagate communism.

The USA directed many diplomatic incidents and supported in the destruction of USSR indirectly. In return, Soviet Russia used its veto power to oppose anything said by the USA. There were many phases of the Cold War, spanning for decades.

The Cold War demarked the world into three fragments- the first world countries, the second world counties, and the third world counties. It is a situation directed against humanity. It creates division and suspicion among the nations. World peace is unachievable partially due to the Cold War and its far fetching results.
