FRIENDSHIP

Friendship is one of the greatest treasure bestowed on a person by time , it’s one of the significant bond one can ever wish for. A friendship stands on the pillars of trust like other relationship. The bond has to be cultivated for years so that it’s roots become strong and it can stand through every thick and thin of life. Friendship has no age, gender or cast. The most important part of this bond is acceptance, there is no judgement. And it’s them with whom u forget all the worries of your life as you know they will be the one to whom you will go to seek shelter in the rain of pain and difficulties.

Let me dedicate a poem to friendship;

THE THING I AM CURIOUS ABOUT; FRIENDSHIP.

A bestfriend say’s hastag forever!

But who know’s what future beholds,

Today you might be as close as winning a race,

But within a blink the future may change.

Yes! I am curious about my friendship.

I fear, I might lose it in a second:

Friendship is supported by the pillars of trust,

But trust is as delicate as glass.

Friendship is a circle that never ends,

But what if friendship takes 360 degree spin.

The circle can be broken into an arch,

But you can’t lose, only mourn.

The longing can be as painful as knife through heart,

I hope the crescent moon phase never arrives;

The crescent moon is a beautiful sight, but not in friendship.

The friendship circle shines like a moon in the darkest night.

Estate Planning

In these unprecedented times, one thing we know for sure is that life is very unpredictable. One might think that they have years left to worry about ‘what happens to family when I’m gone?’ but everything could change in just seconds. Hence, it is important to plan before and be ready for any uncertainties.

Estate refers to all kinds of assets one owns. It includes financial assets, tangible personal assets (vehicles, art, collectibles), immovable property and intellectual property.

Estate planning refers to the process of transferring wealth from one generation to another. The most common ways of doing this is through Nomination and Joint ownership. However, both these methods are legally disputable. Let’s look at some effective Estate Planning tools-

Will

Will is a legally accepted document and allows one to make decision to transfer wealth after their demise. However, Will is public and controlled by court. Changing or modifying will becomes difficult with time, in case the owner becomes mentally or physically challenged with age. It can lead to rivalry between the beneficiaries.

Trust

Trust can be used in place of Will. It forms a legal relationship where one party holds property for the other. However, it can effectively help in avoiding probate process (validation of Will) and expenses. Trust can be public or private and is controlled by the family only. However, this implies that the Trustee can misuse assets of Trust.

It can also be used as a firewall or shield to separate assets. It implies that if the owner becomes bankrupt, lender cannot seize assets under the Trust. Moreover, it reduces estate tax on transfer of assets.

It is recommended to have a combination of Will and Trust as they nullify each other’s demerits. Using Trust, one can avoid probate process and expenses and keep things private and out of court. It also allows you to modify the terms at any time and all assets under the Trust are protected. However, one can also use Will to avoid misuse of assets by the Trustee.

Lifetime Gifts

Lifetime gifts refers to the wealth transferred during life to near and dear ones. It is exempted from tax within a limit. For transfer of immovable property, a gift deed has to be made.

Power of Attorney

It is a legal arrangement where one party authorises the other to act on their behalf. This can include two types- Financial and Medical. Financial POA lets your agent make decisions about your money and property. For example, your agent could pay your bills, make bank deposits, collect your retirement benefits, and sell or rent your real estate.

A medical POA (also called a healthcare POA) lets your agent make important healthcare decisions on your behalf. These decisions could be about your treatment options, medication, surgery, end-of-life care, and more. Without a medical POA, your loved ones could be left trying to guess what kind of care you want to receive. There’s also a possibility you’d receive different care than you would’ve chosen for yourself.

Paradox…

A logically self contradicting statement is a paradox. Also known as antinomy. You can say it is a sentence that runs contrary to one’s expectations. Actually it’s just a smart mess. It does have valid reasoning but leads to a self contradictory or a logically unacceptable conclusion. It might seem absurd but is kind of the ultimate truth. That’s what makes it all the more interesting.

Let’s see some of the many interesting paradoxes that exist and try to understand them.

•Achilles and the tortoise 🐢🏃

One of the “greatest” there is. It was put forward by the Greek philosopher Zeno of Elea in the 5th century BC. It so happens that the great hero Achilles challenges a tortoise to a footrace. Being the hero that he is, he allows the tortoise a headstart of 500m. No doubt, when the race starts, Achilles is at a must faster speed than the tortoise such that by the time he has reached the 500m mark, the tortoise has only walked 50m further than him. When he has reached 555m mark, the tortoise has walked another 0.5m, then 0.25m, then 0.125 m and so on. It is a chain of such infinite small distances with the tortoise always moving forwards while Achilles always has to catch up. Now, logically, Achilles can never overtake the tortoise. Except, of course, intuitively he can overtake.

Don’t think of it in terms of distances and races but rather as an example of how finite value can always be divided an infinite number of times, no matter how small its divisions might become!

•Birthday paradox 🎉🎂

This is personal favourite. It is maths based by the way. Probability to be specific. You have already heard of this probably. It goes like this that in a group of 23 randomly selected people there is a 50% chance two of their birthdays match. Interesting? Wait. In a group of 367 random people there is a 100% possibility atleast two of their birthdays match. Sounds like such a small number. It counts as a paradox because we can’t handle such numbers.

•Crocodile paradox 🐊

A crocodile snatches a young boy from the riverbank. Pretty common situation right? Anyways, his mother pleads with the crocodile to return the boy. The crocodile being in a fun mood, wants the mother to guess if he will return the boy or not. Takes one guess to get the boy out safely. It looks simple – the mother guesses he will return the boy, if she is right she gets the boy, if she is wrong, the crocodile gets the boy. If she answers that the crocodile will not return him, however, we end up with a paradox!

If she is right and the crocodile never intended to return her child, then the crocodile has to return him but in doing so breaks his word and contradicts the mother’s answer. And if she is indeed wrong and the crocodile did intended to return the boy, the crocodile must then keep him even though he intended not to, thereby also breaking his word. It’s a brain twisting dilemma.

•Paradox of fiction 🎟️📕

Are you fixated with the harry potter characters? You ofcourse have a crush on the Marvel or DC comic characters. Oh or did you cry when Augustus died?

So here is the paradox. Point 1 People have emotional responses to characters, objects, events etc. which are fictitious. Point 2 In order to be emotionally moved, we must believe that these characters or events by no way exists in real. Point 3 No person who takes characters to be fictional at the same time believes that they are real. All three of these points one at a time can be true. If any two points are considered to be true then the third must be false or else produce a contradiction. There exist various proposed solutions to this paradox such as pretend theory or thought theory or illusion theory.

•The card paradox 🃏

This one is a little bit similar to the crocodile paradox. A little. So I say we have a card with us. On one side, the front side, “the sentence on the other side of this card is TRUE” written on it. You flip and “the sentence on the other side of this card is FALSE”. You take one as true and it leads to a paradox!

Thank you for reading. Have a nice day!🌼

Trust

Everyone is no one to everyone. You is both singular and plural in English grammar but it’s different in life. It’s always singular and you are only you and no one cares. Caring is done only if you pay. Money makes people and breaks people. If you have money, you can buy anything. Believe no one else you become only one.

Have faith in others but don’t trust others. Being you everytime and thinking only about you is atmost necessary in this cruel world. Have faith and beleive in yourself. No one is going to help unless you help them. Why do anyone help anyone without getting something. Giving is difficult and taking is easy. Beleive the process but not people. Trust no one and have faith in you. Life in this selfish world is so selfless. Living for others make your mates treat you as some other random guy. Never hope for something . Expecting is foolish because you are a fool to expect. Never give and never hope for the return.

Someone is something to you when he expects something to you and you become something when he gets his something. Don’t give atleast a thing and if anyone gives you something to you even before you give them believe him. Trusting blindly is so easy. Don’t give them opportunity because that makes them to have a choice between leading a luxurious life and happy life. Everyone will experience a moment in their life whether to choose a luxurious life by breaking the choice or to have a happy life by keeping the promise.

Believing your children isn’t trust worthy because there are few of them whom we can take as examples. Sometimes trusting yourself is too dangerous but there will be no choice to make because you are the choice maker. Make yourself strong because atlast you will be left alone right beside you to condolence yourself. It’s ok if you betray yourself because it’s better than getting betrayed by some others. Have a great hioe and become a master of making you. Don’t ever try to oversmart yourself because you know who you are.

Trust but verify.

undefined

Trust is defined as having confidence, faith, or hope in someone or something. An example of trust is believing that the sun will rise within the morning. people always put trust in one another with none doubt in any quite sensation, people believe that somebody or something is reliable, good, honest, effective, etc. Trusting someone means you think that they’re reliable, you’ve got confidence in them and you are feeling safe with them physically and emotionally. Trust are some things that two people during a relationship can build together once they plan to trust one another .

why can we trust at all? Well, because it feels good. When people place their trust in a private or an establishment , their brains release oxytocin, a hormone that produces pleasurable feelings and triggers the herding instinct that leads sheep to flock together for safety and prompts humans to attach with each other . Swiss scientists have found that exposure to the present hormone puts us during a trusting mood: during a study, researchers sprayed oxytocin into the noses of half the subjects; those subjects were willing to lend significantly higher amounts of cash to strangers during a game than were their counterparts who inhaled a placebo.

Nothing would work that efficiently because it does today if we humans stop trusting one another . For our collaborative growth, we’d like to trust other fellows. Trust are some things that does not bound you by any legal law, but you’re bound by conscience to try to to the proper thing. When a toddler is shipped to high school , it is the trust that oldsters do on teacher and faculty , if they need never shown trust, they will not be ready to provide their toddler a growth which a faculty can give. Another example: an employer trusts his employee’s intentions and his capabilities, employee trust his employer that he’s bringing him the proper opportunities and exerting . Without trust, sharing responsibilities wouldn’t be possible and that we aren’t capable of handling everything on our own. We are people we’d like one another . If you retain on doubting, you will not be ready to give your one hundred pc because most of your energy will get waste in doubting. Therefore, don’t over doubt, trust people, in any case the planet isn’t that bad place.

in India, everyone features a question that, why we give the keys to our neighbors, once I was young, I don’t think we even owned a key to the front entrance of our house. Now, there are many of us in my neighborhood whom i might trust to return to my house once I wasn’t there, but, unfortunately, there i do know that there are unsavory characters out there that necessitate locking the door nowadays.

here are three good reasons for you to trust others:
1. Trusting allows you to grow: New experiences can actually cause you to a stronger person and can empower you to start out living more fully.
2. Successful relationships are built on trust: Just believe the foremost influential person in your life for a second…is not that an equivalent person you trust the most?
3. once you trust, you open yourself up to love: once you trust people you’re fixing a subconscious desire in them to measure up to your trust as well…
4. Send strong signals: Sending strong and clear signals not only attracts other tempered trusters but also deters potential predators, who are on the lookout for straightforward victims sending weak and inconsistent cues. That’s why having a reputation for toughness is critical; reputation is among the foremost powerful ways we communicate who we are and what sorts of relationships we seek.

Research has shown that the brain chemistry governing our emotions also plays a task in trust. Paul Zak, a researcher on the leading edge of the new field of neuroeconomics, has demonstrated. Other research has also shown how intimately oxytocin is connected with positive emotional states and therefore the creation of social connections. It’s well documented that animals become calmer, more sedate, and fewer anxious when injected with oxytocin.
