Finance is a must for the smooth conduct of business operations. A business firm can raise funds from two main sources: Owned funds or owned capital and Borrowed funds or loaned capital. Insole proprietorship and partnership the funds contributed as capital are called owned funds. In a joint-stock company fundraised through the issue of shares and reinvestment of earnings (retained earnings) are the owned funds, borrowed funds refer to the borrowings of a business firm. In a company borrowed funds consist of finance raised from debenture holders, financial institutions, public deposits, and commercial banks. Finance can be classified in to:
In a business house following are the main sources of long-term finance:
Issue of shares
Issue of debentures
Ploughing back of profits/retained earnings
Loans from specialized financial institutions
The amount of long-term funds required depends on the type of business and the investment required for fixed assets. For example, the manufacturing of steel, cement, chemicals involves heavy investments in buildings, machinery, and equipment. A small factory producing garments or a small workshop for repairing electrical goods will require a small investment in fixed assets. Traders generally require lesser amounts for long-term investment as compared with the requirements of manufactures.

2. MEDIUM-TERM FINANCE
Medium-term finance is required for a period ranging from 3 to 5 years. It is used for the modernization of plant and machinery, investment in permanent working capital, and for repayment of debts. The main sources of medium-term sources of finance are:
Issue of debentures
Issue of preference shares
Bank loans
Public deposits/fixed deposits
Loans from financial institutions
Manufacturing and trading concerns require more working capital to pay wages and to finance the purchase of raw materials and goods.
3. SHORT-TERM FINANCE
The amount of such capital is required for a short period, say up to one year and as soon as goods are sold and funds are recovered, the amount is again used for current operations. Generally, production processes are completed within a year and goods are ready for sale. Hence short-term funds can be used over and over again from year- to year. Short-term funds are required for meeting day-to-day working capital needs. They raised for twelve months or so. The main sources of short-term finance are as follows:
Bank credit
Customer advances
Trade credit
Deferred incomes
Installments credit
The requirements of short-term finance depend on:
The nature of business undertaken
The time gap between the commencement of production or purchase of goods and their sales
The volume of business.
Trading firms normally require proportionately more of short-term capital than a long-term capital. Manufacturing concerns, on the other hand, need relatively smaller amounts of short-term capital as compared to long-term capital.
On the rising population there is also rise in demand of family members related to commodities. Many of the family don’t even get 2 meals per day! there is lack of only one thing and that is money. It is said that
“Empty stomach can make you to do anything”
To fill the stomach people can do anything especially when they have family to feed. Now-a-days the crises and cruelty has increased drastically that alone 1 man cannot feed the all 4 members in the lower labour section. So, unwillingly all the family members had to work at the field and contribute some money towards family to sleep without an empty stomach at night.
There are many schemes released by government to stop the child labour like making primary education almost free for poor children along with mid-day meal to them so that they do not have to crave for the meals and keep focus on the study, they are also regularly checked by medical if there is any weakness in any of the student. National Child Labour Project (NCPL) is a central government branch which takes strict actions against child labour and works at the best to resist this act. According to UNICEF, India with the highest amount of population has also high number of child labour cases under the age of 14 and 1% of it i.e. approx 1,20,000 are forced to engage in hazardous jobs.

Every year on the day of 12 June it is marked as Anti-Child labour day to draw the attention on the issue of child labour. Every year there is different themes on this day:
In 2020 the theme was “Protect children from child labour, now more than ever”.
In 2019 the theme was “Children shouldn’t work in fields, but on dreams”.
In 2018 the theme was“Generation safe and Healthy”.
IN 2017 the theme was “In conflicts and disasters, protect children from child labour”.
In 2016 the theme was “End child labour in supply chains – It’s everyone’s business!”.
In 2015 the theme was “NO to child labour – YES to quality education!”.
Now the matter is not just to put it to one day and on a piece of paper, it’s a world wide conflict and has to be somehow resolved. Every year various types of acts and event are performed by students of schools, college and NGOs too, but this year digitally the message was forwarded as due to lockdown and pandemic situation rallies, etc cannot be held.

Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Shri Narendra Singh Tomar has said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has made revolutionary reforms in the field of agriculture including the important step of announcing the formation of 10 thousand Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). The responsibility of completing this task lies with the Small Farmers’ Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC), which is also responsible for strengthening the e-NAM platform in the present circumstances. There has been considerable progress in institutional and private investments after the establishment of SFAC.
Addressing the 24th Management Board and 19th Annual General Board meetings of the SFAC, Shri Tomar congratulated SFAC team for linking 1000 markets to e-NAM in two phases. He further said that the purpose of creating the platform should be accomplished. Business of more than Rs. I lakh crore has been transacted over the e-NAM platform till now. More than 1.66 crore farmers and more than 1.30 lakh businesses have been registered with e-NAM since its inception. Shri Tomar said that it is a challenge for us to ensure that as a result of reforms, there is ease in selling of produce, along with transparency, farmers get remunerative prices for their produce and they have direct access to this platform. Farmers have completed the harvesting work with great dedication even during the period of lockdown and earning is also now being completed successfully. SFAC must be congratulated for helping the farmers in this.
Shri Tomar said that previously SFAC used to form FPOs on the basis of existing schemes, but it is a matter of happiness today that Hon’ble Prime Minister has announced the formation of 10 thousand FPOs across the country which will give a boost to this task. FPOs must not only be formed but they they must also achieve their objectives. Their responsibilities increase in ensuring that farmers gather in groups, hold discussions and get trained, increase their production, diversify their crops, and discuss ways of decreasing use of pesticides etc. Hon’ble Prime Minister has set the target of doubling farmers’ incomes. In between the problem of COVID appeared yet the pace of Ministry of Agriculture and farmers has not slackened. Shri Narendra Singh Tomar appreciated that SFAC launched the Kisan Rath app with the help of officials of the Ministry of Agriculture which lessened the problem of transport of farm produce during lockdown.
The Union Tourism Ministry’s “ Dekho Apna Desh” webinar series on 11th June 2020 walked into its 31st session showcasing “Himachal- Around the next bend” focusing on the beautiful villages, mountains, pristine rivers, culture and heritage. Dekho Apna Desh Webinar Series is an effort to showcase India’s rich diversity under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme.
The session of the Dekho Apna Desh webinar series on 11th June, 2020 was moderated by Rupinder Brar, Additional Director General, Ministry of Tourism. The session was presented by Frank Schlichtmann, Founder, The 4tables Project, Ankit Sood, Managing Host, Sunshine Himalayan Adventures and Michael & Devanshe Lidgley, Owners, Himalayan Orchard. The three presenters virtualised and highlighted the unexplored destinations and unique cultural and heritage wealth of Himachal Pradesh.
Mr. Frank Schlichtmann started the session by highlighting an interesting Art village Called Gunehar, beautiful amalgamation of nature, streams, forest. Gunehar is located in the Kangra district. The idea behind this Art project in Gunehar is to develop conscious effort among the travellers to put focus on the village without affecting the place with too much crowding. Gunehar is well connected by road, rail and air. The valley has many small villages and Gunehar is the largest panchayat with just 3000 people. People are largely Gaddis with a few Bara Bhangalis. The settlement started a little 100 years ago. Originally people of the village are shepherds but now many of them are farmers, some have shops and some work. Villagers are grounded, have sense of dignity and knowledgeable. 4 tables project started in the year 2008 with good participation, followed by Art festival in 2013. Art shops were developed, inviting the artists to come and work in empty spaces and present their art work which is attended by people from all walks of life. The whole event is a joint venture with the artist, visitors and villagers. The villagers call it Mela. It has become a huge success and final week is organised as art festival with theatre, music, film screening etc. Local cultural elements are well represented towards the closing ceremony of the Art festival.
Mr.Ankit Sood took us virtually through the World Heritage Site Great Himalayan National Park located in the Kullu region. Great Himalayan National Park is spread across four valleys-Sainj valley, Jiwa Nal valley, Tirthan Valley and Parvati valley. The park protects over 1,000 plant species, including many medicinal herbs, 31 mammal species and 209 bird species, as well as amphibians, reptiles and insects. Four of GHNP’s mammal species and three of its bird species are globally threatened, including the musk deer and the western horned tragopan.
The third little known destination in Himachal Pradesh showcased by Michael & Devanshe Lidgley was that of Kotkhai, a town in Shimla district.
• Kotkhai Palace is 800 years old and the royal family is still residing in the palace.
• Rukhla village – An apple growing village. A three hour hike from Rukhla takes you to the highest point where you can have a mesmerising 360 degree view of Greater Himalayas. The village is well known for its majestic flora and fauna including Black Bear, Barking Deer, Musk Deer, Langur, Leopards and Monal.
• Kiari temple- Kotkhai architecture wood and stone earthquake resistant
• Narayan temple- Rebuild based on original style.
• Naga cult-.Master of the underworld reigns over subterranean water sources linked to fertility. Naag is the son of Bhuri Mata, a powerful Goddess worshipped in Himachal and sacrifice of sheep pleases him. Songs are sung in Pahadi dialect.
• Apple farming
The Dekho Apna Desh Webinars are conducted in association with National e-Governance Division (NeGD) created by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY).
The next episode of the webinar scheduled on, 13th June 2020 at 11.00 am, is titled Trekking in the Himalayas – Magical Experiences. Registrations https://bit.ly/HimalayasDAD
Being a true leader isn’t the easiest thing in the world, nor should it be the hardest. People can be born as a leader or made one. Irrespective of how you became a leader, the work you put in is important.
Do you often feel that you are not the leader you aspire to be? If so, that can always be changed.
You are a leader. First of all, what does being a leader mean to you? As there are millions of leaders out there, having their own meaning for leadership, you have to come in terms with your own meaning. You really don’t have to have the same meaning as someone you dream to be. For example, most people would take in what someone who is successful believes in, like Bill Gates. Swallowing his or anyone else’s point of view will surely lead you to a good path but not the best. You have to remember what you believe in has a great impact on your life. Standing on your beliefs no matter how absurd others think it might be, is one of the most powerful things. (unless it is absolutely blundered you are good to go.) Do not forget that, before even Bill Gates became who he is today, he had to believe in things that people back then thought were reckless but later turned out to be inspiring. As a person or greater, as a leader, you always should have yourself to back you up. Our designer while creating us made sure no two humans are the same. So put that to use, Be unique.
Having the power to stand on your beliefs and decisions is one of the most important things that you have to build when you are a leader because being a leader means you have a lot of people following you. You should be able to believe in yourself so that others can believe in you. Running a jurisdiction of your speciality or not, you should always be able to stand on your perspectives and respect others views too. As humans, we are prone to making mistakes, and it is obvious that what we believe in might not always be completely right, so we should keep in mind that we are obliged to be open to others’ comments and be able to separate the right from the pessimistic-wrong ones. Our motos could be updated, but it should never be changed due to ill-selfish needs. Leadership is something to be honoured. Being selfish and looking for only your benefit will only bite you back. Trust me when I say, being honest will only bring you good. No matter how good the other side looks, always know that you would never be true to yourself if you are dishonest.
The significance of myself stressing on the fact of being able to stand in your belief is that it is the backbone of being a true leader. Being apt to stand on your own, under any circumstance.
Before starting I would like to thank you for all your support and help please see my other articles about coding and how to learn it .Well, starting with computing becomes really tough, especially because nobody knows where to. As mentioned earlier, C++ may be a good start. it’s an honest language with various applications, and is accepted in most programming contests. Python is another good language for beginners, but its easy and possesses its demerits as a primary language(you will find it tough to maneuver to C++ if you recognize Python as your maternal language , whereas learning Python after C++ is trivial). 1. Find a course on C++.Start with Bucky’s C++ tutorials. they’re easy to know and to the purpose . If you watch and practice 2-3 videos each day , then you’ll easily finish it in 1 month. confirm you implement everything taught either on Ideone or on your Computer’s IDE. the primary video during this series explains the way to install and use it. Follow the instructions well, and there wouldn’t be any issues. Don’t move to subsequent video without understanding and practicing the previous one on your own. Another great website is www.learncpp.com. 2. Have a revision toolAfter completing the above tutorial, you ought to have an honest revision tool. It are often a book, a website, an app, etc. Books have both theory and questions in them, hence they’re more useful. you’ll start with this very famous book called allow us to C++. it’ll prove very beneficial after you’ve got done Bucky’s tutorials. You can also use this app Sololearn, which is beneficial if you would like to catch up the syntax of any language. 3. Get a practice sourceThere are tonnes of internet sites out there which contain questions for practice. an honest one is SPOJ. Solve them within the order of decreasing number of users(click on the users tab to rearrange in decreasing number of users order). this will be done while reading the book(step 2). After you’re thorough with it, you’ll move to the classical section and again arrange and solve. These are very nice problems which they’re very useful for developing good coding skills. There are many other sites like CodeChef, HackerRank, CodeForces, HackerEarth, etc. SPOJ may be a excellent spot to start out because it requires brooding about the matter from scratch with none precoded stuff. 4. determine the way to use the online to unravel your problemsThere tons of resources online. Learn to google well and use few keywords. once you see a compilation error, paste the exception type on search bar. you’ll definitely find an answer on StackOverflow. Similarly, if you can’t solve say problem ID 3458, then google SPOJ 3458. most likely you’ll get a solution . this is often a really important tip for aspiring programmers.Like this text and provides your feedback it’ll be highly appreciated and share the article together with your friends. Also check the previous article on the way to start with coding. And my other article on data science
As the name suggests “Sharda”, the first thing that strikes our mind is Maa Saraswati, because Sharda is her another name. Since Kashmiri Pandits were par excellence in the fields of education and knowledge, perhaps for this reason they kept the name of their script as Sharda. Another anecdote regarding the etymology of this script goes as – there’s a place called Sharda Peeth in Kashmir, which actually functioned as a temple institution between the 6th and 12th centuries CE. It is said that the temple institution played a pivotal role in the development of the Sharda script and hence the script was named after it. Yet, another anecdote holds that the name refers to one Shardanandana, who first developed a writing system for the Kashmiri language. However, the name is not found in early sources and is believed to be of later origins. Some also believe that the script owes its name to the region in which it was most popularly used, which was called Sharda Desh, the place whose main goddess was Sharda, or Saraswati, the goddess of learning.
Sharda is the original script of Kashmir. It evolved from the Western branch of Brahmi approximately 1800 years ago, when the language of Kashmir was developing into “Kashmiri”, with its variations. As a result, Sharda, later became unfit for Sanskrit. However, it was continued to be used for writing Sanskrit in Kashmir. It was also said by few scholars that the old Sharda script remain confined with the Kashmiri Brahmans (Kashmiri Pandits)and was too restricted to religious purposes only . Most of the scriptures of Kashmir used to be written in Sharda till 13th century when Muslim kingdoms replaced it with Persian language.
Sharda script was much in use in Kashmir as well as it was too used in North Western India, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh and even in Central Asia. Almost all the ancient Sanskrit literature of Kashmir is written in this script. To put it in a simple equation –
If you carefully look at the Sharda script, you will find that it’s somewhat similar with the Gurumukhi script. And this is due to the reason that Gurumukhiis adirect descendent of Sharda. Devanagari emerged around 1200 CE from the Sharda script. Shardascript is first seen in a manuscript discovered from the village Bakhshali in the Peshawar district of Pakistan.
The Sharda Script
The Sharda script has actually lost its identity with the pace of the decades. As a matter of fact, it has been designated the position of endangered script as a large number of population forgot the essence of the same. The Kashmiri Pandits have maintained and labelled this script as a part of their disrupting identity; they are the ones who are actually surviving to preserve the script as a part of their culture and heritage and are also making aware the younger generations about the same.
The Mahamrityunjay Jap (Om Trayambakam Yajamahe) in Sharda script
In this link, you can further read about this endangered indigenous script.
Finding Sharda Script on a Site
The earliest known records of the Sharada characters are the coins of the Utpala dynasty of Kashmir (9th century CE) and a brief record carved on the fragment of a broken jar discovered from the Avantiswami temple, mentioning the name of Avantivarman, (855-883 CE) the founder of the temple.
This is the major history associated with the origins of this script, that are now being preserved by the Kashmiri Pandit community.
Learning how to play an instrument at a young age can help improve your reading skills. The brain can adapt and change while you train and exercise it. Playing an instrument teaches the brain to choose what’s more important in a complicated process, like reading and communicating.
Music has been known to help people with stroke to learn how to speak again. Music functions are located on the right side of the brain and the language functions are on the left side of the brain. People with stroke can learn how to speak again by singing, training their brain to move the music functions to left side of the brain associating it with language and, finally learning how to talk again.
Identification:
Music, for teenagers, is a way to express, identify and express certain emotions. When a teenager focuses more on the lyrics, they are identifying and expressing sadness or happiness, and psychological or sociological problems. For teenagers struggling with problems that are associated with adolescence, sexuality, sexual orientation, loneliness, sadness or depression, music can be really helpful for understanding these emotions. When a teen feels incapable to talk about their problems and emotions with their friends or family, whether it’s because they feel uncomfortable or embarrassed, listening to songs of similar subjects makes them feel that they have someone they can relate to, and feel less lonely. Music can serve as a mood changer for teenagers, it can strengthen positive emotions, but you must be careful to what you listen to because some songs can also reinforce negative emotions.
Listening to certain genres of music can give teenagers admittance to a group of other teenage that share the same likes of music. Adolescent music groups range from straight-edge punk cliques to progressive-rock aficionados and hip-hop heads. Sharing the love of a music genre gives those in the group an opportunity to construct a good friendship and share common interests, which can benefit emotionally the teens. Live music events, like concerts in which teens are allowed to attend, are a safe and supervised way for kids to socialize and meet other people without the involvement of alcohol and drugs. However, being identified with certain groups could also cause negative effects on teenagers because certain types of music are associated with violence, sexism or gang culture. For teenage girls, sexist music can reduce their self-esteem and confidence
Relaxing:
Music therapy can allow the families to have an emotional intimacy and relax while they spend time together in an interesting, positive and creative way, which is very meaningful. Additional studies show that music therapy can cause changes in physiology by releasing brain chemicals including melatonin, norepinephrine, epinephrine, serotonin and prolactin, which help reduce depression, regulate mood and make patients feel calm and more able to sleep.
Music helps the heart. It’s the tempo of the music that’s good for your heart health. In a research made by Europeans, they made a test where they played music to their patients while monitoring their breathing, heart rates and blood pressure. They found that when they played upbeat music, their patients had faster heart beats and breathing and when they played them slow music, their heart rate slowed down and their anxiety and stress levels decreased.
Motivates:
Music works as a motivator whether you want to exercise or you don’t want to do a specific chore because it’s boring. This can be done by playing upbeat music to keep you hyped and distracted while you keep on working. When you want to exercise, you can play any upbeat song and, because it is a fast paced song, your heart and muscles work faster, finally, allowing you to do your exercise faster than you normally would and you’ll probably exercise longer than you thought because you are distracted by the music.
The reason why it helps you complete a specific chore is because it’s distracting and you’re entertained while you’re working. It’s good to listen to songs while you’re doing chores because it puts people in a better mood and makes you keep working. You can also use it in your job, because it helps productivity, if you use it during the job, it’s better to listen to a song that doesn’t have any lyrics so you don’t affect the language parts in your brain.
Health:
It has been prove that music can be used to help the body in many ways. It can have a therapeutic effect against pain, modify blood pressure, treats many mental sicknesses, depression, Down syndrome, insomnia, and many other problems in the human body. Not only can music change the metabolism, affect muscular energy, increase or decrease blood pressure, and influence digestion, but it can also make all of this work in a more efficient way, exceeding the effectiveness of any other stimulant that can produce the same result in our body
Conclusion:
Throughout all of the research we noted that music is extremely helpful to health, learning, for memory, can motivate people and help relax those who are too stressed, which is why we think that music should be integrated in some way into the school programs, hospitals and at work to help people stay relaxed, learn and concentrate, and stay in a good mood. I also recommend parents to give their kids music lessons since they’re very young so they can learn things faster and have better concentration when they’re in school.
“Women and girls can do whatever they want. There is no limit to what we as women can accomplish” – American Lawyer and Former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama
Feminism is a concept that has helped women to acquire equal rights and a huge impact on the lives and roles of women in the society. In addition, feminism is gaining equal opportunities and rights for both men and women. Views on gender-based differentiation in the workplace and in interpersonal relationships have often undergone profound changes as a result of feminist and/or economic influences .
Simply put, feminism is a movement to end sexism, sexist exploitation, and oppression. Feminism is mainly focused on women’s issues and is a collection of movements aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, and social rights and equal opportunities for women. The fundamental object of feminism is the feminine. The status of women in society, the roles of women in and out of their homes, the oppression and exploitation of women, gender differences, patriarchal society structure and male dominant power approaches and pressures are widely debated issues. Several feminist activists have campaigned for women’s rights—such as in contract, property, and voting — while also promoting women’s rights to bodily integrity and autonomy and reproductive rights. They have opposed domestic violence, sexual harassment, and sexual assault. In economics, they have advocated for workplace rights, including equal pay and opportunities for careers and to start businesses. Hence, feminism has caused new discourses, actions, perceptions and theoretical approaches to emerge in itself as a result of existing debates about women, the fundamental object of feminism.
Feminism first emerged as a social movement on the local level, and later on it became a social and political movement on the broader plane. Some of the earlier forms of feminism have been criticized for being geared towards white, middle-class, educated perspectives. This led to the creation of ethnically-specific or multicultural forms of feminism. However, feminism has brought a theoretical perspective within the disciplines such as international relations, sociology, economics, philosophy, law and politics and aims to understand the nature of gender equality.Women have sought to find ways in which feminist theory based on a large number of approaches can reduce chaos, mishap or misery of situations that women must deal with such as gender discrimination in the fields of politics, social, economic, legal, administrative or private and public areas. Because of the different approaches which feminist theory holds, it has produced feminist phenomena that exhibit a very different tendency within itself, and each feminist phenomenon has differences according to the sources of perspectives, constraints on women, oppression and forces exposed to obstacles. Feminist theory examines women’s social roles and lived experience, and feminist politics in a variety of fields such as sociology, communication, psychoanalysis, economics, literary criticism, education, and philosophy. Several themes have been explored in feminism which include art history and contemporary art, aesthetics, discrimination, stereotyping, sexual objectification, oppression, and patriarchy.
Feminism as a movement to end sexism, sexist exploitation, and oppression is alive and well. While we do not have a mass-based movement, the renewal of such a movement is our primary goal. Women and men have made great strides in the direction of gender equality. And those strides towards freedom must give us strength to go further. We must courageously learn from the past and work for a future to live together, realizing our dreams of freedom and justice, living the truth that we are all “created equal.” Feminism is for everybody.
Over the past decade, LGBT people which includes Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people have gained more and more tolerance, acceptance and respect in India, especially in large cities.
Discrimination is still present in rural areas, where LGBT people often face rejection from their families and forced opposite-sex marriages. Nonetheless, most LGBT people in India remain closeted, fearing discrimination from their families, who might see homosexuality as shameful.
Nowadays people in the LGBT community are fighting for equal rights and acceptance same as normal citizens. Trans people, especially, face a lot of difficulty in finding acceptance. People in the LGBT community are looked down upon all the time. This is a major issue because discrimination against the LGBT community is highly prevalent.
People’s prejudices lead them to think that LGBT people are odd and very different. Today, homosexuality and queer identities may be acceptable to more Indian youths than ever before but within the boundaries of families, homes and schools, acceptance still remains a constant struggle for LGBT people. I have heard of people coming out of the closet and declaring to their families that they are not the person their family expected them to be.
Being L,G,B or T is not a ‘problem’, nor is it a ‘choice’ as such. LGBT individuals are merely individuals who have sexual preferences that differ from what would appear to be the ‘normal’, due to differing learned behaviours and, you know, having a personal perspective and mindset that differs from everyone else’s. Saying that it’s objectively wrong for people to have sexual preferences that differ from the normal is objectively wrong itself.
Article 15 of our Indian Constitution Article 15, 1949
Prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, Sex or place of birth.
If normal men and women have the right to live in this society with respect then why not a person who belongs to LGBT can live in this society with respect. It’s not about what our religion says it’s about what humanity says…If we talk about religion as per the Hindu aspects Lord Rama had given a boon to hijras for their loyalty that’s why the curse or boon of hijras means a lot to the normal beings.
I think everyone who is living in this world, either normal or abnormal has equal rights to live in this society with full respect..!!
If we see around us, we regularly see children on street selling balloons, small girls are working as maid in homes with their mother, in village children are working in field, some are working in factories which is very dangerous for them. So we can see there are many children who are in child labour.
So World Day against Child labour is standard holiday first launched in 2002 by International labour organization aiming to raise awareness and activism to prevent child labour.
According to ILO’s data, “hundreds of millions of boys and girls in this world are involved in work that deprives them to receive an adequate education, health, leisure and basic freedom, voilating this way their rights. Of these children, more than half children are exposed in worst form of child labour like working in hazardous environment, slavery and other form of forced labour, illicit activities such as drug trafficking and prostitution, as well as involvement in armed conflict.
Child labour affect children’s physical, cognitive and social development. Children who are working in factories are very dangerous for their health. While working they are at high risk for illness such as respiratory illness, and they exposed to harmful chemicals which also affect their physical development. These children oftee suffer from malnutrition which leads to serious health and mental conditions in later life.
According to researchers, teenagers who spend more than 20hrs per week working at a higher risk to problematic social behaviour like drug abuse and aggression. This also affect their education development, most children dropout from school and if they remain in school, they perform very poorly.
It also social development, as in this age it is very necessary to spend time with peers and family members which help them to built positive relationships but long working hours do not led to properly from these relations which lead to insecurities and improper identity development in later stage. It also leads to a feeling isolation and depression and prevent formation of healthy emotion and relation with others.
So, it is important to takeout children from the darkness. It is necessary to aware people about the ill-effects of child labour and how it is dangerous for the children. Strict action should be taken against the people who are involved in this.
Childhood is a very period of one’s life. It is the age of seeing dreams, playing, troubling elders through their naughtiness, not of going to factories or streets or working. So it’s not just about one day, it is our responsibility to spread awareness about child labour and take actions against it everyday and don’t let any of the child being trapped in this darkness.
India is full of awe-inspiring places to enthral and inspire visitors. And, given the vast expanse and sheer diversity of this South Asian country, there are plenty of untouched and unexplored places. From the great Himalayan range in the north to the shimmering coastline of Indian Ocean in the south, and from the Gulf of Kutch in the west to the shores of the Bay of Bengal in the east, India is home to countless destinations.
Here I bring some of the unexplored and must visit destinations all over India
JAWAI, Rajasthan
An unmissable place for wildlife enthusiasts is Jawai, located in the Pali district of Rajasthan. This is one of the best places in the country to spot a leopard in the daytime, so it is called the ‘Leopard Hills of India’. Several migratory birds and wild animals are found in the area, including cranes, flamingos, sloth bears, antelopes, and Indian wolves. Considered among one of the lesser known tourist destinations, this place deserves much more attention than it gets. It’s a perfect destination providing solitude and natural beauty in a place away from the artificial and busy lifestyle of cities.
Activities to do
Leopard safari
Bird watching from jawai dam as a lot of migrating birds are spotted here
Best Time to Visit
Although Jawai is open from early September to mid of May, the best time to come here is from October to early April as the weather is less humid while the nights could be chilly.
How to Reach
Jawai Bandh is 392 kms away from Jaipur. For air travelers, there is no direct flight but the nearest airport is Udaipur from where you can get a cab to Jawai Bandh. Besides, there are 3 direct trains plying from Jaipur to Jawai Bandh but if you are traveling by bus, the only option is to reach Sirohi and then take a taxi up to Jawai Bandh.

Do you know we have to breathe in over 10000 litres of air in a day( more than 4 million litre in a year) to remain alive. We cannot stop breathing even if one can feel the air to be polluted. Several harmful and noxious substances can contaminated the air we breathe. Generally, much is said and written about outdoor air pollution, most of which is due to vehicular and industrial exhausts. The fact is that most of us spend over 90% of our time indoors, it is important to recognise that the air we breathe in at home or in office or where we working can be polluted. It can be a cause of ill health. Air pollutants that are generally present in very low concentrations can assume significant in closed ill- ventilated places. The indoor air pollution. The indoor air pollution can lead to allergic reactions and cause irritation to the skin, the eyes and the nose. But as is logical to assume, the burnt of insult by pollutants is borne by the lungs. It can worsen the existing respiratory illness like asthma and bronchitis.
There can be several sources of indoor pollution. 1. Most important source of indoor air pollution is the allergens. House dust mites (HDM) are very small insects not visible to the naked eye and are the commonest source of allergy in the house. They are everywhere and develop in a warm and moist atmosphere. They breed very fast and very difficult to get rid off. Modern house present ample breeding space for them in the form of carpets, mattresses, pillow etc. 2. Pets are very important part of life for some of us. But they can plenty of allergens to our indoor atmosphere. Cats are infamous for doing this. Fine articles from feline fur can remain stuck to the padding and carpets for a long time even after the removal of the animals and lead to the worsening of asthma and skin allergies. Fortunately, owning to religious and social customs cats are not very popular pets in India. Dogs, however, are quite popular and can be as troublesome. Pets should be kept out of the bedrooms and washed periodically. To remove the fur particles one has to use vacuum cleaner as the ordinary broom and the mop are not effective. 3. Tobacco smoke is one of the most important air pollution in closed place.”Passive smoking” or environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) pollution can lead to all the harful effects of tobacco seen in the smokers in their non smoking companions. ETS as a health hazard has been indisputable proven and is also getting social recognition now. One can occasionally see signs displaying the all important message.” Your smoking is injurious to my health” in offices and homes. The children of smoking parents are among the worst affected person. 4. Other important pollutants are toxic chemicals like cleansing agent, pesticides, paints, solvent, and inferior quality personal care products, especially aerosol. Asbestos is a hazardous product that can cause cancer in humans.
Indoor air pollution is the degradation of indoor air quality by harmful chemicals and other materials; it can be up to 10 times worse than outdoor air pollution. This is because contained areas enable potential pollutants to build up more than open spaces. Statistics suggest that in developing countries, health impacts of indoor air pollution far outweigh those of outdoor air pollution. Usually indoor air quality problems only cause discomfort. Most people feel better as soon as they remove the source of the pollution. However, some pollutants can cause diseases that show up much later, such as respiratory diseases or cancer.Making sure that your building is well-ventilated .
Getting rid of pollutants can improve the quality of your indoor air.Public awareness: One of the most important steps in prevention of indoor air pollution is education, viz., spreading awareness among people about the issue and the serious threat it poses to their health and wellbeing. The education should help people in finding different ways of reducing exposures with better kitchen management and protection of children at home. People should also be educated about the use of alternative cleaner sources of energy to replace direct combustion of biomass fuel. The stakeholders must include not only public, but also politicians and administrators to ensure their commitment and increase their awareness about health effects of indoor air pollution.
Modification of design of cooking stove: The stoves should be modified from traditional smoky and leaky cooking stoves to the ones which are fuel efficient, smokeless and have an exit (e.g., chimney) for indoor pollutants. A good example is the one designed by the National Biomass Cookstoves Initiative, of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy under a Special Project on Cookstove during 2009-2010, with the primary aim of enhancing the availability of clean and efficient energy for the energy deficient and poorer sections of the country.
Improvement in ventilation: During construction of a house, importance should be given to adequate ventilation; for poorly ventilated houses, measures such as a window above the cooking stove and cross ventilation though doors should be instituted.
Intersectoral coordination and global initiative: Indoor air pollution can only be controlled with coordinated and committed efforts between different sectors concerned with health, energy, environment, housing, and rural development.
It is important to realise that the air we breathe at home may not be clean always and we must try to eliminate the source of pollution. We should give due consideration to ventilation.
This time of our life is very much difficult, such a pause in our fast pacing life was never expected. This pandemic has surely changed our lives, it is testing our will power and strength. Everyday watching the numbers of Corona cases just increasing develops a sense of fear in everyone. More heart drenching is to see the policemen , doctors and sanitation workers doing their job and not getting the respect they deserve. There are many journalist working on the ground to give us the visuals of the grave realities . The crematorium are filled with dead bodies of people who died due to corona, many of these bodies are unidentifiable. There are many people who are dying because of the effects of lockdown which is imposed because of the Corona pandemic. You may have noticed that I have now started sounding like the news reporters, what to do this is ought to happen.
Maharashtra has today crossed the one lakh mark for the overall number of cases and I am afraid as you complete reading this article many more cases will be added, so I have decided, rather than getting upset all over again lets analyse why Maharashtra has the most number of cases.
Population density – Mumbai which is the capital of Maharashtra is said to be the city of dreams. people come here in search of jobs and other opportunities surely Mumbai doesn\’t break the expectations for most of them. It is third most dense place in the world , out of all the statistics and numbers you can actually feel this while just travelling in a local train in the working hours . Mumbaikars have a saying that if a person could reach to their destination by travelling in a crowded train safely he/she can overcome any challenge in life. Talking about the numbers the population density is 32,500 per square kilometre that means nearly 33 people in one metre square area, and corona is a disease with high transmissibility and in such a case people in Mumbai are at higher risks of getting infected.
Number of tests – Its observed that Maharashtra is taking 10,000 tests every day, which is more than what is taken in other states. More number of tests means probability of more number of cases to be positive. This testing rates were subsequently increased when corona positive cases were discovered in Dharavi, which is the most densely populated area of Maharashtra .
Lack of healthcare facilities- 99% of ICU beds in all the hospitals have been engaged, and on the other hand number of corona cases is increasing exponentially day by day. Though the recovery rate is high but it doesn\’t come even near to number of cases being added every day. As the doctors and nurses are not provided with proper safety equipment these doctors also test positive for corona.
Negligence by the public – yes I don\’t see any social distancing being followed in my area, people are walking without masks and I can also see a group of middle aged women forming a group and chattering . The other day, I saw in the news that large number of people came out of their home , to take a walk in the marine drive area nor did they follow any social distancing or neither any preventive measures were taken. These acts of negligence shown by an educated public is just not acceptable.
Lets face it, this is a very crucial time and opening of lockdown does not mean corona virus is vanished . If we don\’t follow preventive measures we will never be able to reach the time where all this virus is disappeared. Researchers do need time to develop the medicine or vaccine and we should give them that. Honestly if we come out of this pandemic alive that itself would be a very big achievement and lets pray that we all get to be successful.
