Prevent covid from impactig your credit score

 – Since the beginning of March, COVID-19 has turned millions of Americans’ financial situations upside down.

While the economy is showing signs of recovery, many Americans are still unemployed and having to dip into their savings to cover basic living costs. To that end, the question remains: How do you protect your credit score? Read on for some tips.

• Contact your lender aas soon as possible if you can’t make a payment. On-time payments are the largest factor affecting your credit score. Many lenders continue to offer emergency support such as deferral or forbearance options that may allow you to reduce or suspend payments for a fixed period. However, if those terms are set to expire soon, you should “call your lender to discuss what options are available,” says Rod Griffin, senior director of consumer education and advocacy for the credit reporting agency Experian.

• Look for ways to boost your credit score. If you have limited credit history, building credit can be challenging. Experian’s free tool, Experian Boost, can help raise your FICO score instantly by giving you credit for on-time utility, phone and streaming service payments.

This type of alternative financial data, known as “consumer-permissioned data,” allows you to manage your data with confidence and qualify for better credit. In fact, two out of three Experian Boost users see an increase in their credit score with an average increase of about 12 points. That’s enough to make a significant difference when applying for a loan or any type of credit.

• Consider getting a balance transfer credit card or one with an introductory offer. Handled responsibly, this actually has the potential to increase your credit score while either buying you time to pay off your debts or getting a “welcome bonus” of perhaps hundreds of dollars. If you’re looking for personalized credit card options, tools like Experian CreditMatch can help you get the right card based on your financial profile.

• Pay attention to your utilization ratio. Your credit score is based on your total balance-to-limit ratio (a.k.a. “utilization rate”). Adding a new credit card increases your total available credit. As long as your total credit balance remains the same, you’d be decreasing your utilization rate, which can potentially boost your credit score. Be sure to transfer balances to the card with lower interest and be mindful of temporary low interest rates.

While any balance can cause scores to decline, you should keep your utilization under 30 percent, both overall and on individual accounts. Shooting for a top credit score? “Keep your utilization in the single digits, or even better, pay your credit card balances in full each month,” says Griffin.

• Fight fraud by checking your credit report regularly.According to the Federal Trade Commission., there’s been a huge jump in attempted credit – and debit-card fraud since the pandemic hit; consumers have lost more than $100 million to COVID-19-related fraud

Healthy tip to return to the office

Offices around the country are finally opening back up. According to census.gov, more than a third of Americans are still working from home , but the number of people getting back into their daily commutes-and their work clothes — is growing every day.
In the APA’s Stress in America™ poll conducted in February 2021, 42 percent of Americans reported undesired weight gain during COVID-19 quarantines, lockdowns and work-from-home time. Their average weight gain: 29 pounds.
To get back into a healthier routine once you head into the office, Courtney McCormick, registered dietitian and manager of clinical research & nutrition at Nutrisystem, offers these simple tips.
Pile on the Produce: Even the odds and help yourself stay on track when you clock in. Load up on non-starchy vegetables such as cucumbers, peppers, carrots and more each day because they’re loaded with vitamins, minerals and fiber, but they’re low on calories. The fiber helps you feel full without filling out.
Pack Satisfying Snacks: Healthy snacks may be the most important option you can give yourself at the office. When you start to feel that 3 p.m. slump, it can be so easy to grab one of those coworker-brought bagels or hit the vending machine. Being prepared with satisfying options can help you make food decisions to meet your health goals.
Make Meals Ahead: Meal prepping ahead of time can help you stay on track when it’s time to eat at the office. Pre-portioned meals such as those from Nutrisystem or power bowl recipes are a great healthy lunch meal prep option because they are easy to grab and go, yet heartier than a salad. You can also whip up several servings of chicken in the slow cooker or on the grill to pair with steamed veggies all week long.
Stay in the Know: Once you’ve got your healthy meal prep underway, arm yourself with information. When a coworker invites you to lunch or happy hour, you’re going to want to be there-it’s the first one in more than a year! So give yourself the info to concentrate on the experience without stressing about your order. Look at the menu online before you head out so you can see which options are best for your healthy lifestyle.
To add to your efforts, don’t forget to stay hydrated and active during the workday. Pack a water bottle to refill during the day and plan to meet a co-worker for a lunchtime walk.

Top Reasons To Try Martial Arts

BEST PREPARATION FOR LIFE

Pretty much everybody thinks about the famous hand to hand fighting, like Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu and Tai Chi… a few group have even pondered evaluating a class. But have you at any point really done it? Do you require an explanation?

Pretty much everybody has contemplated taking up a military workmanship sooner or later on schedule. Perhaps as another approach to remain fit as a fiddle. Perhaps as a way to shield yourself from the school menace. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of reasons why individuals decide to take up a craftsmanship, however I need to require one moment to layout what I feel are the main motivations to basically attempt a military workmanship. Possibly it’s for yourself, perhaps it’s for your youngsters… whatever the explanation, all hand to hand fighting contain a remarkable abundance of information and order that you can’t go anyplace else. My expectation is that this article will rouse you to escape your seat and into a school to perceive what’s genuinely going on with combative techniques.

Fearlessness

As you train in hand to hand fighting, you will see a ton if enhancements, like your constitution, balance, mindfulness, adaptability, and numerous other physical and mental qualities. Hand to hand fighting will show you how to consolidate these capacities and use them to prevail in rivalries, achieving higher belts, building companionships and securing yourself if essential. The more you can do, the more sure you will be.

Self Preservation

Perhaps the most widely recognized motivations to examine hand to hand fighting is to figure out how to protect one’s self. Various schools may commit class time or potentially offer a planned class that stringently goes over self protection strategies. Additionally, contingent upon the MA style or school, self protection can be a huge piece of the educational plan, which can be gainful to those intrigued by “material expressions” (expressions you can use in regular day to day existence) rather than “customary expressions”.

Self-restraint

Webster characterizes self-restraint as the “remedy or guideline of oneself for development”. Regardless of whether it be attempting to make a secondary school group or fulfilling organization time constraints, when you get familiar with the center important to prevail in Martial Arts you can apply it to the remainder of your life. Achievement is mental, and Martial Arts will show you the self-control important to prevail at anything you set your attention to.

Regardless of whether you are a characteristic competitor, remaining on one foot, while kicking with the other, and impeding with your hands is very troublesome and includes coordination.

Wellness

Combative techniques doesn’t need to zero in just on battling or self preservation as certain styles depend more on wellness. Tae Bo and Tai Chi are two instances of this. In any case, those with an interest in the battling and self-preservation parts of Martial expressions will discover their wellness levels quicly expanding as preparing creates different muscle gatherings, yet adaptability and equilibrium too. One’s degree of wellness can be similarly as significant in dominating a game as one’s abilities and capacities.

Family Enjoyment

The vast majority don’t realize that this is an incredible method to hang out with your family! Some military workmanship schools permit families to prepare together and others separate classes by age gatherings. Despite how classes are isolated, families wind up partaking in the time spent together. It’s anything but incredible having a family all test together for different positions and dark belts.

Meet New People – Martial Arts is for everybody…

Numerous military workmanship schools structure their classes into three age gatherings: Kids – typically going from around 5 to 11 years of age, Teens – 12 to around 16 or 17, and Adults – for the most part begins at 18, yet a few schools make special cases when fundamental. A few schools likewise offer a “Little Dragons” program equipped towards the 4 – 6 year old group. Age bunches are then separated into belt positions permitting you to prepare with individuals that are somewhat of equivalent abilities and age. As a rule individuals who start combative techniques together will foster a holding companionship and even obtain in their dark belts simultaneously on the grounds that they pushed each other during their tuff times.

The frailties of the Indian Criminal Justice system.

  • Sankalp Dubey

In the United Kingdom, a well-known textbook on the foundations of criminal law methodically develops numerous theoretical basis for explaining what should be a crime – that it should include some harm, must be of a particular degree of gravity, and so on. But then, in a single passage, it deconstructs this structure by reminding us that, at the end of the day, criminal law and crimes are whatever the state says they are. This political linkage is probably more pronounced in India: A majority government creates the laws and controls the investigative apparatus, which means it may not only define what constitutes a criminal but also selectively pursue just those offences that it is concerned about, forgetting the rest.

Across India, chaos reigns.

To what end should those offences be pursued, you could wonder. In the end, the concept of “crime” is meaningless without the associated penalty. We are all trained to fear losing our liberty when we are imprisoned. However, it is sometimes overlooked that this punishment may only be imposed upon a conviction at the conclusion of a trial. As a result, there is a synergy between the crime, the investigation, and the accountability of those found guilty, which is referred to as the criminal justice system. And everywhere you turn in India, it’s in chaos.

The heinous events in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh are only one illustration of how awful things may become. After a confrontation with police, a prominent mobster fled and was subsequently apprehended in another state. Meanwhile, the news was saturated with tales suggesting the accused’s corrupt ties to public officials. An “encounter” occurred when his party was returning to Uttar Pradesh, and the accused was shot and killed.

There had been a crime, perhaps multiple crimes. It was determined to pursue it by the State Police. However, there was no need to wait for a trial to convict and sentence the guilty; punishment was immediately administered by the police. So much so that one ex-Supreme Court Judge said the State’s version of events made it look as though it didn’t care whether or not the encounter account was believed.

The extremities in Uttar Pradesh

If the death of Vikas Dubey indicated a readiness to punish without a trial, Uttar Pradesh has also shown a readiness to condemn without a trial. It enacted a legislation allowing the publication of enormous hoardings including the names and personal information of anyone accused of destroying property during the anti-Citizenship Act rallies. But here’s the thing: all of this happened before a court found them guilty of their crimes. Rather than a judicial ruling, the authority to condemn was derived from the ability to make claims, which is entirely executive in nature. In this way, the cops took on the roles of judge, jury, and executioner.

Of course, there are cases when the state has chosen to pursue alleged criminal activity. Many times, it turns a blind eye to acts of violence, either indefinitely or for a lengthy period of time. When her relatives discovered her on September 14 in the hamlet of Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, she had been viciously abused and left to die. The same family did what any reasonable person would do: they called the cops and took their daughter to the hospital. Despite the obvious injuries, the police did not file a report for many hours, and even then did not mention the major crime of rape. Naturally, when the police refused to file this one instance of rape, they quickly recorded at least 19 cases involving an alleged conspiracy to utilise the incident for political objectives in order to cast the State in a negative light.

Disconnect between the government and the judiciary.

These examples from Uttar Pradesh merely help to highlight that there are definite, obvious patterns. The first is the widening chasm between the government and the judiciary in questions of criminal justice; the second is the boosting of executive authority as a result of this chasm; and the third is the judiciary’s predictable copying of executive-mindedness. As a result, I suggest, the criminal justice system will be transformed into a problem-solving system.

The 2019 Crime in India numbers reinforce a trend that has been seen for decades: our police appear to be super-efficient, but our courts appear to be super-slow. Let’s stick with Uttar Pradesh for a while. Its police have a case pending rate of just over 15%, whereas its courts have a case pending rate of just over 90%. (for IPC crimes). Worryingly, they aren’t the worst data available. This implies that, as police departments continue to add cases to their dockets year after year, the courts’ capacity to conduct trials and make judgements is deteriorating.

The inherent time gap between the incident and any potential punishment is exacerbated, and the role of courts in the criminal justice system is diminished. This gap, among other things, undermines the significance of any conviction based on a trial, since individuals move on and life moves on in virtually all circumstances. It’s impossible to say how much this inclination is amplified in an era dominated by the 24-hour news cycle.

How can a system bridge the gap between an incidence and a final decision? By gradually legitimising the concept of penalties without repercussions or accountability. All that counts is that the situation is solved and that we move on.

The president obtains more authority in this system where judges have less authority. The arrest, not the conviction, is the turning point in the criminal justice system. At times, victims do not even consider proving anything in court; all that counts is arrest and indefinite imprisonment, or even an encounter if the charge is serious enough. At the same time, the government wants to legalise pre-trial detention and incarceration while simultaneously granting itself new powers to punish without conviction, including asset forfeiture.

The presumption of innocence.

When judges attempt to reclaim some of their lost ground by imitating the suddenly popular branch, the transition is complete. At the time of bail, courts are more than willing to examine the facts in great detail. Furthermore, by utilising jail as a negotiating weapon to push wrongly accused individuals to pay amends, judges become more ready to assist in reaching settlements during this stage. Because even courts no longer have the time for the procedure, courts deliberately replace facts established during cross-examination of a witness with her unproven charges that the police opted to pursue. So long as the problem is fixed and a victim is pleased, the assumption of innocence can be ignored.

There has been a soothing background tune playing steadily throughout this outbreak and the spiralling devastation it has caused. This is the systematic disintegration of any criminal justice system worth its name across India, and its gradual replacement with a problem-solving system in which initial accusations and their handling by the executive branch become most important, and values like presumption of innocence and establishing truth through trials have long vanished. The fact that certain states are in the forefront of this growth may be viewed cynically as another indicator of their success that makes many others envy.

To the unknown

The UNKNOWN

Maybe it’s some mystery or may it be what I have ignored.
In this luxury of hustling world, is it that we don’t take time to search or at least wonder about the unknown at.
In this society set ‘Pattern of Living’ and ‘Frame of Thinking’, do we ever care to get a glimpse of what we don’t know!?
Yeah,I agree with the fact that we aren’t able to harness we have grown already; what we have known already.
But why do we often let this ‘Want’ fade away, is it just because of the uncertainty of the next? Or too coward to take that one little extra mile?
No matter how efficiently I try to describe this unsettling situation, the quotation that, “Knowing that I don’t know, itself is an accomplishment”, is undeniable.

How beautiful would it be to able to reach that far fixed fence; but is it really how this is supposed to be?

The unknown as it pertains to me ,
is the horizon, it’s up to us to believe in or not but the run for eternity is happening constantly like it’s been always
Things do happen whether we acknowledge it or not , isn’t it?
But it’s just that my WANT TO KNOW THE UNKNOWN keeps rising. What about your want?

CHILDHOOD DREAMS

DREAMS AS A CHILD

Everyone has a profession or two that they aspire to be when they grow up. Some children, for example, want to be firefighters, while others want to be physicians or professors and lots more. This is where everything starts. Dreaming is what gives a child the wings to fly, the hope to survive and the will to become successful in future. Childhood and early adulthood experiences may mould and mould these dreams. Many of these children grow up to abandon their childhood ambitions whereas some of these children, continue on their road to pursue their aspirations and become the professionals they’ve always wanted to be.

My Childhood Aspirations When I reflect on my life, I realize how wonderful it has been. I had an absolutely fantastic childhood and consider myself to be quite fortunate. I grew up in a home with two loving parents who have been there for me through thick and thin, and for that I am eternally grateful, forever. My parents instilled in me the belief that I could be anything I wanted and that I could do everything I set my mind to, they made me believe that nothing is impossible and you can gain what you want if you work hard. As I grew older and developed into the person I am now, my dreams evolved.

DREAMS AS ADULTS

When people consider their life dreams, they frequently consider whether or not they are childlike fantasies. Adults are continually influenced by what is considered juvenile or practical, as well as how others would see them if they pursue their aspirations. Most people who are going to follow all of their childhood aspirations are emotionally immature in some way. Bringing this down to the level of students has a similar effect. After all, when children reach a certain age, the adults in their lives dismiss their dreams as infantile or kiddish which is very much seen among the people in the current generation. Despite the fact that it can drive someone’s willingness, childishness is usually regarded as negative or problematic in some way. People can be motivated by a variety of emotions that are considered juvenile, such as wrath, sadness and many more.

When broken down by gender, it appears that gender stereotypes were still present in the minds of today’s adults when they were children. Pilot (13 percent), Athlete/Olympian (10 percent), and Police Officer or Detective (6 percent) were the most popular dreams for boys, while Vet (12 percent), Teacher (11 percent), and Dancer/Choreographer were the most popular ambitions for girls (6 percent). I’ve had a range of interests and occupations throughout my life that have given me a lot of pleasure. But when it came to my work and something I’d be doing for the rest of my life, I couldn’t think of anything that would make me truly happy.

Some people have an easier time moving on from their “childhood aspirations” than others. As they become older, they develop interests behind the scenes or in theater administration, which they can turn into an internship, which could lead to a full-time job. That’s just fine with them but this is not fine by me.

Tribals have always amused the current society with there culture, attires, jewellery, lifestyle and of course their beautiful paintings. One such example is also illustrated by Bhimbetka where paintings from stone age, medieval etc. can be found. The aesthetic art depicts basic story life of people living there and daily struggles in the form of Warli art. As the time flies many things get faded away but these paintings are still headstrong. Tribals used natural red, white, green and yellow colours are also used. The colours are a combination of manganese, hematite, wooden coal, soft red stone, plant leaves and animal fats.

These paintings can be classified according to seven periods-

Period I Upper Palaeolithic: These are linear representations, in green and dark red, of huge figures of animals such as bison, tigers and rhinoceroses.

Period II Mesolithic: these show small linear decorations on the body, animals, human figures and hunting scenes and weapons they used- barbed spears, pointed sticks, bows etc. Some scenes are interpreted as depicting tribal war between three tribes. LPG IN INDIA

LPG : LIBRELISATION ,PRIVATISATION AND GLOBALIZATION IMAPACT ON INDIA

From independence till the later part of the 1980s, India economic approach was mainly based on government control and a centrally operated market. The country did not have a proper consumer oriented market and foreign investments were also not coming in. This did not do anything  good to the economic condition of the country and as such the standard of living did not go up. In the 1980s ,stress has given on globalization ,privatization and globalization of the market by the congress government under Rajiv Gandhi .

In  his government tenure ,plenty of restrictions were abolished on a number of sectors and the regulations on pricing were also put off-effort was also put to increase the condition of the GDP of the country and to increase exports.

Even if the economic liberalization  policies were undertaken ,it did not find much support and the country remained in its backward economic state. The imports started exceeding the exports and the India  suffered huge balance of payment problems. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) asked the country for the bailout loan . The fall of the soviet union, a main overseas business market of India, also aggravated the problem . The country at this stage was in need of an immediate economic reform.

It was in the 1990s,that the first initiation towards globalization and economic liberalization was undertaken by Dr. Manmohan Singh , who was the finance minister of India under the congress government headed by P.V. NARSHIMHA RAO. This is perhaps the milestone in the economic growth if India and it aimed towards welcoming globalization. Since , the liberalization plan , the economic condition gradually  started improving and today India is one of the fastest growing  economics in the world with an average yearly growth rate of  around 6.7 per cent. Narasimba  Rao had played a key role in implementing these reforms policies,

  • Liberalization

Liberalization refers to the slacking of government regulations. The which began since july24,1991. In the other words we can say that liberalization means elimination of state control over economic activities, It implies greater autonomy to the busines enterprises in decision-making and removal of government interference .  It  was believed that the market forces of demand and supply would automatically operate to bring about greater efficiency and the economy would recover. This  was to be done internally by introducing reforms in the real and financial sectors of the economy and externally by relaxing state control on foreign investments and trade.

Its objectives

  • To boost competition between domestic businesses and to promote foreign trade and regulate imports  and exports.
  • Improvements of technology and foreign capital ,to develop a global market of  a country and to reduce the debt burden of a country.
  • PRIVATIZATION

Privatization refers to the  participation of private entities in businesses and services and transfer of ownership from the public sector to the private sector as well.

Privatization is the transfer of control of ownership of economic resources from the public sector to the private sector . It means a decline in the role of the public sector as there is a shift in the property  rights from the state to private ownership .The public sector had been experiencing various problems  , since planning such as low efficiency and profitability ,mounting losses, excessive political interference , lack of autonomy ,    labour problems and delays of  in completion of projects.

  • GLOBALIZATION

Globalization essentially means integration of the national economy with the world economy. It implies a free flow of information , ideas , technology , goods and services , capital and even people across different countries and societies. It increases connectivity between different markets in the form of trade, investment and cultural exchanges.

The  concept of globalization has been explained by the IMF as the growing economic interdependence of countries worldwide through increasing volume and variety of cross border transactions in goods and services and of international capital flows and also through the more rapid and widespread diffusion of technology ,

Why Indians ignore global issues like climate change

Climate change is a change in the climate or environment of  the planet . it is not a natural process ,but an outcome of human activities and interference with nature. Climate change is not an issue of today or yesterday. It’s been started for a very long time. Transformation or variation in nature has been started in nature since the age of industrialization. climate change is the biggest threat for humanity .It is making our earth inhabitable. . Human civilization was developing at the cost of nature. And after that we all have followed their footprints for getting luxurious lifestyle, comfort, easiness .

development is required , but should not be done at the cost of nature.

Climate change is most worriment issue of today’s world. but the point is whether all countries are equally serious about it. Solemnity about this global issue varies from country to country , because economical condition of countries, lifestyle of their people, education level, women’s condition in countries are not same . That is why it is obvious to have difference in their awareness and  actions. the more people will aware the more they will take action. Awareness relies  on the economical, political and educational level of the country . climate change is such a issue that is difficult to understand .the  . having knowledge is worthless if proper actions are not being made and implemented. All the countries are accountable for this global issue ,however  their contribution is  unlike . the hazardous impact of climate change will not be as per of countries contribution . the planet is affected by this.

Climate change increase flood risk. The global average surface temperature has increased 2 degree since the pre – industrial era . Every upcoming year is becoming warmest year ,breaking the record of previous years.  incidents of wild fires have become more apparent of become more apparent ,extinction of wild species ,demolition of ozone layer ,shrinking glaciers , increasing sea level and intensity of tornados, avalanches , new epidemics , water ,air ,soil pollution and heat waves . it more likely to face adverse effect in forthcoming days.

India is the 4th largest emitter of greenhouse gas after china , united state  and EU . For country like india , it   is not possible to pay more attention on this global issue , when they have major issue like corruption , poverty, population, unemployment, education system, basic sanitation, healthcare system, women’s safety, infrastructure, agriculture distress etc. The germanwatch institute presented the result of the global climate risk index 2020.India is also in the top 10 countries. India’s climate risk index is 18.17 and is the major victim of extreme heat ,flood and sand storm among other divesting natural events . Global disasters are making headlines everyday .for instance California wildfire ,Uttarakhand wildfires, Australian bushfires, tycoon and floods etc. Human civilization has put itself in a great hazard by its activities.

India is a developing country and is not responsible much for it as compared to other countries. Two third of people  in india are  living in poverty,: they lack a basic need. Middle class aim to have decent well paid job, hope to own a house of their own, seek to have a secure retirement  and want to secure the  healthcare and  educational need of their family. Affluent section are  busy in their luxurious life. In India citizens are tackling with more sever issue such as food security ,shelter, employment ,lack of good education and politics is concern with other things .

In Indian politics climate change is not a major issue. Indian politics revolves more around religion , faith, party system ,temple, cast etc. Good education makes people aware and it leads the country toward new innovations  and breakthroughs ,which will ultimately help us in fight with climate change .In agriculture  sector we need new crop seed  with climate resilient feature because our land will have to face more flood ,droughts and extreme heat. We need new innovation in renewable energy sector ,people will only switch their  energy source when they find renewable energy source as cheap as traditional one. Although many major automobile companies have launched electric vehicle ,electric cycle but they are so expensive that middle class can’t  afford to buy. Research and development in this sector will help them to reduce the price while improving its  functionality .one main thing we need to ensure  that  these electric vehicles must use renewable energy for their charging.

People’s participation is crucial in any anti climate action plan proposed by government .There is lot of examples  of individual endeavours  such as Greta Thunburg, Devaki Amma from Kerela state of India who alone grew a forest and Anupam  Mishra know for the conservation of rivers and water sources. So everyone has a place in fight with climate change .

Lack of coordination  at  both national  and international level. countries have made many agreements , protocols, pacts and organization to combat the climate issue like IPCC ,UNFCC,RIO SUMMIT ,PARIS PACT,MONTIAL PROTOCOL ,COP SUMMIT but we can clearly see the lack of seriousness in world politics. Their words are more than action. Like all developing countries, India’s concern about economic development and poverty alleviation is justified. And must be fully respected in any global climate regime, As virtually stated  explicitely in the UNFCCC  (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change).

At world level, the largest polluter or carbon emitter –US walked out  of the global agreement. However , later US  rejoin the paris agreement United state has produced  6.6 billion matric tons of carbon dioxide in 2019,the second largest emitter in the world after china. india is  the third largest emitter of greenhouse  gases.   For  the first time The Paris Agreement has  brought  together entire countries with a common goal of limiting   global warming to below 2 degree Celsius .  To attain this long  term temperature goal, countries motive to reach global peaking of greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible  to achieve a climate neutral world by mid century.

Is India wrecked by socialism?

India’s economy is socialist, according to the constitution. Mrs. Indira Gandhi introduced this word in the 1970s. As the British occupied India for nearly 150 years, they began as a firm to transfer raw materials from India to the United Kingdom. This has frightened India into reopening its market to the rest of the world. Nehru was unusual in this regard; he permitted only a few enterprises to expand and concentrated his efforts on the agriculture sector.

The term ‘socialist’ was added to the Preamble by the Forty-second Amendment.

In the past, the Indian government implemented many social welfare programmes to demonstrate its socialist credentials, such as bank nationalisation, various job initiatives such as NREGA, and even selling milk. While the majority of these ponzi schemes failed, they added to the government’s financial burden. All of these ideas had a significant impact on citizens. Everyone began to rely more heavily on free goods. People began to expect cheaper rations, a free cooker, and subsidised gasoline or kerosene. Except for a few communities such as the Marwadi and the Gujratis, no one backed private industry, and everyone was focused on government jobs. Entrepreneurs were frequently reprimanded or disheartened. Profit was viewed as a bad thing, and wealthy people were frequently blamed for the country’s plight. In films from the 1970s and 1980s, the villain is typically wealthy, smoking a cigar, holding a peg of whisky in one hand, and plotting how to exploit low-wage workers. Building a business involves time, effort, risk, and expertise. In India, the image of business and the evil it entails is still pervasive. A large number of people still rely on the government to help them. Everything that is wrong with their lives is due to the government in some way.

India gradually up its market to the rest of the world and established a free market economy in 1991. While every step India takes has a significant impact, we have fallen behind other countries such as China, which began reforming a decade ago. China was able to nail down a few details regarding how the business model will work in a communist country. In India, entrepreneurs find it extremely difficult to start a firm because of the so-called red tape that still exists. The Indian bureaucracy is rotting from the inside out. The nature of the “Sarkari Babus” is still incompetent, slow, and corrupt. Obtaining land, establishing a factory, and obtaining a licence are all arduous tasks for entrepreneurs.

India chose a government-directed growth path over a market-driven one when it gained independence. With a GDP of around Rs.36 thousand crores and government revenue of around Rs.330 crores, we were a shaky economy. The average lifespan was only 31 years. That was an opportune time to pass away. We were also hard struck by the costs of World War II, as well as the bloody partition, which saw the largest human migration in history. Market forces would have positioned us as the world’s tailors, cobblers, and domestic assistance suppliers, given our large and impoverished population. Nehru, on the other hand, chose to invest on new infrastructure (the Temples of Modern India) in order to propel India ahead. The four huge steel plants, the DVC, the Bhakra Nangal project, and numerous public sector investments in power, locomotives, railway coaches, paved roads, irrigation, water supply, schools, IITs and IIMs, hospitals, and other areas were among them. The pressures continued to mount until we were on the verge of declaring bankruptcy in 1991. Then came the Narasimha Rao government, with Manmohan Singh as Finance Minister and Chidambaram as Commerce Minister, which changed everything. Nonetheless, all administrations since then have been mindful of the need to help India’s poor, rather than abandoning them to market forces.

Communism in India

The change of administration at the centre in 2014 has brought with it new promises, but it has also brought suffering to the people of India who are being drugged or tranquillized in the hope of long-term benefits. The people of the country will vote for the current government for a second term because they perceive no credible opposition or viable alternative to it.

Although the current government’s administrative efficiency is marginally better than its predecessor’s, the majority of Hindus applaud their radical non-secular approach on specific topics like as the sacredness of the cow or actions against minority appeasement. Furthermore, the minority appeasement approach used by previous Congress-led governments has warped the Indian polity’s secular nature, which must be remedied. However, the BJP government’s work is more of an antithesis to past practises and cannot be termed long-term strategies because it will transform India into a non-secular nation-state with characteristics akin to those of a Fascist state. This is the time for the Left Parties to move forward quietly but earnestly, despite political and economic restraints, and endeavour to enlist the support of the common man. Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Rajasthan are three states that have refused to recognise the Left Parties as an option and have been difficult for the Left to crack for the past seventy-one years.

In Maharashtra, the Indian National Congress (INC), National Congress Party (NCP), and, to a lesser extent, the Shiv Sena are well entrenched, and removing them will be difficult. Except for a brief period under Shankar Singh Vaghela’s leadership, the Bharatiya Janata Party has ruled Gujarat for the past thirty years. Rajasthan has seen five-year transitions between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress since 1993. In Maharashtra, the sole RED Flag-affiliated party with some clout is the Shetkari Kamgaar Paksha, whose presence and political clout are insufficient to gain an absolute majority in the state legislature. The left must build cadres in these three states over the next few years, as well as re-establish acceptance in West Bengal and Tripura, and attempt a second consecutive inning in Kerala. Along with it, the Communists, or the Left Front, should endeavour to train cadres and prepare for the elections set for 2024, or else aim for an absolute majority in the Lok Sabha elections in 2029.

The road will be rough, but the people of our country require a third option that is superior to both previous and current regimes. This must be a joint effort by all of the Left Parties, i.e.

Except in a few places such as West Bengal, Kerala, and Tripura, the average man in India has not yet developed the needed confidence and faith in the Left Parties, and this has been their most significant disadvantage. There is yet a chance if the Left Parties examine and adjust their approach, making it more inclusive and abstaining from sticking to the Marxist norms that must be abandoned in order to win the trust of the Indian people. A more Machiavellian style, similar to that of Comrade Vladimir Illyich Ulyanov Lenin during the early years of Communist leadership in Russia. Despite the fact that Indian Communism will be relatively different and distinct in light of the country’s economic and social structure, it is the answer, the ultimate answer to equitable and fair governance.
