When art couldn’t be completed

The Virgin and child with Saint John and Angels reminds first that art is made by people. We don’t know why this was left unfinished. It may have been at a patron flaked or that a more interesting opportunity arose. Artists are not like Geniuses who are fundamentally different from us, but human beings who live in time and space like any of us. Great artists are both making history and being subjected to it. Like us. They fail to finish things because they get bored or because they discover a problem they can’t figure a way around, or because they received word that a loved one is sick and they must abandon work to care for them. Still, there can be so much wonder and beauty to unfinished art. The figures to our left are just coming into being almost sculptural. In their outline in the center of the picture, Mary is trying to hold a book away from the baby Jesus, which 16th century dealers would have known to be part of the book of Isaiah that foretells of a Messiah pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities. Even when your kid is the son of God, I guess he still want to protect him from suffering other times. The historical significance of an artwork is not so much the work itself as its context. Like in the United States, we have a tradition of the official presidential portrait and with the major exception of candy, wiley’s portrait of President Obama, most of these portraits are. I’ll put this charitably. Competent but uninteresting. It’s like I’m touching papers. I’m also touching papers. I prefer holding my paper, as Do I. I’m touching papers, ball, holding my place in a book, and so on. Anyway, Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s official presidential portrait is exactly as you’d expect. It’s you know, competent, but by far my favorite painting of FDR. The unfinished watercolor painted by the Russian American artist Elizabeth Shoumatoff in April of 1945, FDR was seated at a card table and Shoumatoff had only been painting for a little while. When the president said. I have a terrific pain in my head and collapsed. He died later that afternoon. She would have never completed the painting, but she did later make a finished portrait based from memory and in that finished portrait. Of course the president is holding paper. Both portraits romanticize a frail old man. I mean, the day before Roosevelt looked like in a photograph, but anyway, shoumatoff’s unfinished portrait is more arresting and powerful than her completed one. It’s a fierce and riveting reminder that to quote the last words of another US President, We are all going. The unfinished painting power is partly in its historical context. Of course. I mean, if the artist had because she had a hand cramp, the picture wouldn’t mean as much. But then all art is context dependent. Really, all everything is context dependent. In a similar vein, I love Benjamin West’s unfinished painting Treaty of Paris, which was supposed to commemorate the treaty ending the US Revolutionary War leaders of the American independence movement, including Benjamin Franklin are depicted here, but the British delegation refused to pose for a picture commemorating their defeat. Other times work goes unfinished because the artist dies. Such was the case with horror nights. Unfinished portrait of Vijayalakshmi Pandit, former president of the UN General Assembly, or the Gustav Klimt’s painting called the bride, which was left incomplete when Clint died in 1918. As a result of a global flu pandemic and then there is the gut wrenching story behind Ford Maddox Brown’s painting. Take your son, Sir, which showed his wife Emma holding their newborn son, Arthur Brown, abandoned the painting in 1857 when Arthur died at just ten months old. In this way an unfinished painting can be a kind of memorial to an unfinished life.

Unfinished paintings can also be important to curators and conservators trying to understand our history, like take, for example, Perino Del vaga’s painting of the Holy Family with Saint John the Baptist. You can see the map the artist laid out, known as underdrawing, and in doing so, clips some of the techniques used to construct perspective and facial features. As met curator Kelly bomb. Put it. An unfinished painting is almost like an X Ray, which allows you to see beyond the surface of the painting. To what lies behind earlier versions preparatory sketches, all the underlying architecture, which is normally disguised and suppressed in that sense, unfinished paintings can become a kind of archaeology like almost 2000 years ago, plenty the elder wrote in his Natural History. The last works of artists and their unfinished pictures are more admired than those which they finished because in them are seen. The preliminary drawings left visible and the artists actual thoughts and then of course, unfinished. Ness can also be an artistic choice as it is in the portrait by Kerry James Marshall, where there is no black in the artist’s palette. And the paint by numbers work in the background remains unfinished. The tradition of intentionally not finishing something, sometimes known in art history circles as the non finito is widespread in art history. The art historian Carmen Baumbach has argued, for instance, that the astonishing portrait was considered complete if unfinished, by Leonardo Davinci, and this gets at a complex question in art and in life. Does something have to look finished to be complete?

HEAD ON (2004) AND, THE ROARING TWENTIES (1939) MOVIE REVIEWS

HEAD ON (2004)

Head On is about two Turkish immigrants living in Hamburg. Sibel wants to get married because she wants freedom so she doesn’t want to live with her family. Cahiit is a guy in his 40s who’s addicted to booze and drugs. Sibel meets him at a mental institution and asks him if he would marry her. They would just be labelled as married but ehy would not be actually behave like a married couple. They will just have to live together, but they could see other people. But soon they develop feelings for each other, and things don’t go right.

This is a great meditation on two characters, and nicely shows how these two different people find themselves in the midst of their so called marriage. They face many emotional ups and downs, and its all portrayed in a very poignant way. I also liked the style that Fateh Akin has adopted, the first half is more of a not so intense drama filled with music. The music often playing an instrumental role in taking the story further. The second half is way more intense, with characters facing consequences for their actions and coming to understand themselves better.

The performances are excellent, I felt like I was myself experiencing the despair that they went through. The characters are so well fleshed out that you actually relate with them. Birol Unel is great as this alcoholic, he’s kind of this rough nihilistic guy in his 40s. Sibel Kekilli is as good, her arc is way more tragic.

I was really impressed by the bleak and unsettling story, it affected me deeply. It’s bitter to watch but everything is shown really beautifully. It’s also very human and realistic, and very different from most mainstream love stories. In the end, Head On is a great piece of filmmaking. It’s poignant, moving, unsettling and one of the best tragedies I’ve ever seen.

THE ROARING TWENTIES (1939)

The Roaring Twenties (1939) is about Eddie Bartlett (James Cagney) who returns to America after fighting in the first world war. America is under the prohibition law which bans manufacture and sale of alcohol. Eddie gets into the bootlegging business and his business flourishes. The film is basically about his rise and fall, shown in the span of twenty years.

The Roaring Twenties has inspired most gangster films that you see today. The layered screenplay with cracking dialogues and one liners make this a massively entertaining film. James Cagney as Eddie carries the film with such ease. He’s so charismatic as this character, it was amazing seeing him. This film is one of Bogart’s earliest roles and he kills it as this short tempered and sadistic world war vet. I loved the way they’ve shown characters turning against each other and all the mindless gun slinging. Even the love triangle in this movie was really well done, and unique for that time period.

The film immaculately portrays the roaring twenties, a time when the U.S. prospered a lot, also a time when there was the prohibition law. It was a time of modernisation and I just loved how the film captures it in the background. I also really liked the music along with the jazzy score, adding to the glamour of that time period. Raoul Walsh has directed this epic time period very gracefully.

All in all, The Roaring Twenties is a slick gangster flick, with great writing and one of the best performances ever given by James Cagney.

FILM SUGGESTIONS – O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU (2000) AND RUN LOLA RUN (1998)

  1. O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU (2000)

O Brother, Where Art Thou is set in 1937 Mississipi, and it’s about Ulysses Everett who escapes from prison with his two companions Pete and Delmar. Their goal is to now find the treasure that Ulysses had buried, without getting caught by the authorities. And we are shown all the problems and chaos that they encounter on the way. It’s based on the greek poem Odyssey by Homer.

I like what Coen brothers have done with this movie, they have nicely captured the depression era. There’s a lot of attention to detail to create a sense of that time period. The extensive use of the sepia tint adds to it. The characters are all whacky and nicely done. Our leads George Clooney, John Turturro, and Tim Blake Nelson are excellent as these convicts. Even the minor characters made me laugh as they are all eccentric, like the scene with Coen’s long time collaborator, John Goodman was the most memorable because of how surreal and funny it was.

As always, the writing is really fine. Coen Brothers know how to create a clever southern crime comedy. It’s really funny and entertaining. And it’s all very unique! I’ve never seen anything like this.

I really liked how they’ve used folk and country music. The music is important to the film as it precedes the story. The film would not have been the same without the music.

All in all, O Brother, Where Art Thou is one of the many perfect films made by the Coen Brothers. It’s odd, unpredictable, hilarious, and original.

  1. RUN LOLA RUN (1998)

In Run Lola Run, Lola needs to bring 100 grand marks under 20 minutes or her boyfriend would have to face some consequences from his employer. We are shown three different scenarios, on how Lola secures the money.

This is no brain entertainment at it’s best. The film is thrilling and fast paced. It does a great job at creating tension. The fast editing is really cool and I even liked the use of animation. The high beat techno music elevates the tension. The film just begins without introducing the main characters, indicating that we have no time to breathe. I’d like to praise the director for how innovatively he has used fast takes, quick cuts, slow motion and panning to create this adrenaline filled experience. I also liked how well put together all the little elements of the plot were. All three scenarios tie together perfectly.

The film is basically about how every small decision we take affects our life. The movie shows this in three different scenarios. A lot of details are used to show how if one little thing had not happened to a particular character, his/her life would have been different. It also portrays the importance of time. For an entertaining thriller, it portrays all this quite effectively.

I’d highly recommend this movie, it’s a well made film that is easy to watch. It’s a fun fast paced thriller.

Medical science Latest News: Some Interesting Researches.

  1. Do you know how your cell phone’s sensor can calculate the alcohol percentage present in your body? It calculates the percentage by monitoring the way you are walking.
Researchers from Stanford University and the University of Pittsburgh completed this study on 18th August. In a sample of 17 participants, they could calculate the intoxication amount with 92% accuracy. The study focuses on blood alcohol concentration (BAC) and breath alcohol concentration (BrAC). They published the study in Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs.
  2. Can we treat dementia and Alzheimer’s with sound waves? A team of Doctors led by Cardiologist Hiroaki Shimokawa recently experimented and discovered that applying low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) to the entire brain of a mouse improved blood vessel formation and nerve cell regeneration without having apparent side effects. “The LIPUS therapy is non-invasive physiotherapy which could apply to high-risk elderly patients with no surgery or anesthesia, and could be used repeatedly,” says Shimokawa. See the study here.
  3. Scientists solve mystery behind body odour! This is not our fault. Researchers at the University of York found out that there is a special microbe which lives in the human armpits. This odour is called thioalcohol, which gets released when these microbes feed on other compounds on our skin. The study is published in Nature journal.
  4. Coronavirus: Filter “paper” made from titanium oxide nanowires can trap pathogens and destroy them with light. This is a discovery by an EPFL laboratory which can be put to use in personal protection equipment, in ventilation and air conditioners. Although experiments are still under process, they say that it be equally successful on a wide range of viruses, including SARS-CoV-2 or coronavirus.

SLEEP

Sleep is the natural state of mind which is followed by reduce muscle activity and to react to stimuli. Sleep disorders are common nowadays due to increase of work stress and instability of mental health. It is said that a better way of living life is to maintain your sleep cycle. A person can not live without sleeping, it is an important process of life. Sleep helps your brain to detoxify and think calmly and clearly.

Most adults need 7-9 hours of sleep a night, but after age 60, nighttime sleep tends to be shorter, lighter, and interrupted by multiple awakenings.  Elderly people are also more likely to take medications that interfere with sleep. Research shows that a chronic lack of sleep, or getting poor quality sleep, increases the risk of disorders including high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, depression, and obesity.

Dreaming is the part of sleeping. It help you to recollect the happenings related to your life. It is said that when your brain is completely unconscious or you said it as a deep sleep you do not dream. Some people dream in color, while others only recall dreams in black and white, it is completely based on individual.

A self written poem relating to sleep-

Sleep does not come early nowadays, maybe because we are too much engaged. Drugs, alcohol had caught us, and we are just been caged. We even make tea and coffee our best friend these days, due to which we are getting more aged. Maybe it is due to earning more wage. At the end maybe because we are far away from beautiful morning gusty waves…

sleeping is an essential part of body and life. Sleep tight and stay healthy!

Good photography using phone

Today 19 Aug is World Photography Day. And who does not love getting pictures clicked. it is not necessary that you need to have a professional camera to get good pictures. If we keep some things in mind we can even use a smartphones camera to get some amazing pictures. Here are some tips

• When you choose the subject of your photography it is not necessary that your focus remains on the subject always. Try making such a composition that the surroundings of the subject enhances the subject.

• Try playing with dark and light, it helps in in bringing out the emotions. A kind of picture where everything is dark and just the subject has some source of light or the light is coming from behind the subject.

•Lessen the shutter speed and also lessen the ISO. You can reduce the noise in the picture if the ISO is less. And if the light coming in the picture is less it can be edited afterwards easily.

•Using the natural setting you can click good picture in places where there is less light. For this increase the ISO and decrease the shutter speed.

•When you have to focus on a subject touch the screen to set focus and then only click for the picture. When the subject will be appropriately exposed then the photo will be clear.

•When clicking images of people at night try using artificial light rather than the flashlight of the camera phone. If you use the flashlight its reflection can ruin photo.

In case you don’t have a tripod make sure that your phone does not shake while you click picture. To avoid shaking your hands hold your breath for sometime.

Music Therapy:A Novel Therapy

Did you ever feel that therapy involves talk by a psychologist and nothing else could come under the domain of therapy? If your answer is yes,Then you are wrong!!Well times have changed my reader~

Therapies have come a long way to incorporate other clinically approved methods such as animal assisted therapy, food therapy, aroma therapy etc.Music Therapy is one clinically developed program by psychologists to assist speedy healing of their clients. In this blog, the readers would be introduced to the world of Music therapy. So lets get started!

WHAT IS MUSIC THERAPY?

Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. It is is an established health profession in which music is used within a therapeutic relationship to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals. After assessing the strengths and needs of each client, the qualified music therapist provides the indicated treatment including creating, singing, moving to, and/or listening to music.

Through musical involvement in the therapeutic context, clients’ abilities are strengthened and transferred to other areas of their lives. This therapy also provides avenues for communication that can be helpful to those who find it difficult to express themselves in words. Research in music therapy supports its effectiveness in many areas especially emotional rehabilitation.

History

You all will be shocked to know that both world wars were the trigger that initiated the development of this therapy.During and after both World Wars, doctors and clinicians began to realize the powerful effects that music has on the healing process and requested that professional musicians be hired by the hospitals. This therapy first got officially recognized in the Michigan state university of the United States of America.Ultimately,The American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) was formed which focuses on creating more awareness about this wonderful therapy.

BENEFITS

Music therapy can benefit many individuals. The diverse nature of music means it can be applied in the treatment of concerns both physical and psychological.Since music can evoke positive emotions and improve brain health,Music therapy is said to manage and alleviate symptoms of mental health concern such as Depression, Mood issues,Anxiety,Schizophrenia,Substance abuse,Autism,Personality issues,Insomnia,Dementia etc.

In addition,Music therapy can improve the social, cognitive, emotional and motor functioning. This therapy was also effective in controlling patient’s situation in Alzheimer’s,Cancer and Hypertension.

Music therapy is frequently administered to reduce stress levels and pain perception of females in labor. This novel therapy has also been linked with improvements in self-esteem, self-concept, verbal communication, prosocial behavior, socialization skills, group cohesion, and coping skills.

Limitations

Even the most beautiful things have flaws, and so has music therapy. One of the major drawback is that this therapy cannot be used as a stand-alone therapy. The music therapy is also known as music assisted therapy implying it’s sole purpose is to assist the main therapy applied by the clinician on the client to produce fast results and relief.

Also, the music therapy like all other therapies is individualized. This is not a major drawback but should be kept in mind before going in for this option. All individuals are unique and so is their taste in music. Thus the therapist has to do additional tests to see which type of music and musical instrument works better for the client.

ALWAYS REMEMBER,WHERE WORDS FAIL,MUSIC SPEAKS…..

Thus in short we need to know that music therapy is a wonderful form of therapy which strengthens an individual and increases his/her quality of life.Choose Music for a better Life!

Review of a research article

Article name:A Study of University Students’ Motivation and Its Relationship
with Their Academic Performance.

Student motivation is the element that leads students’ attitude towards learning process.God-gifted talents, best teachers and best schooling facilitate the academic performance and students’ motivation
is prerequisite for students’ accomplishment. This study attempts to identify the influence of students’
motivation on their academic performance. So come on research enthusiasts let’s look into the why,how and what of student motivation through this review!

Purpose and sample

This outstanding Research article by Ali and colleagues has been published in the International Journal of Business and Management. This study attempts to identify the influence of students’ motivation on their academic performance. The sample consisted of 342 university students of different programs in various universities of Islamabad and Lahore, Pakistan. The students were asked about how motivated they are about their university experience and what really motivated them to study.

METHODOLOGY

The questionnaire was distributed among both male and female students. There were 82% male and 18% female students in the survey with an average age of 20 years.“The University Student Motivation and Satisfaction Questionnaire version 2″ (TUSMSQ2) instrument was developed by Neill (2004) to measure student’s motivation. TUSMSQ2 instrument contains 30-items.

WHAT WAS TESTED?

The questions measure both Intrinsic and Extrinsic motivation of students. There were two intrinsic motivators; Self-exploration and Altruism and four extrinsic motivators;rejection of Alternative options, career and qualifications, Social enjoyment, and Social pressure in the questionnaire. The questions were based on five point Likert scale. For each item, students rated themselves on a scale of 1 to 5; 1 being “Very False”, towards, 5 being “Very True”

BASIS/THEORY OF THE STUDY

Motivation is state of mind that stimulates activities and human body actions.Student motivation is often separated into two types: Intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation.

Intrinsic motivation: A student is intrinsically motivated when he or she is motivated from within. Intrinsically motivated students keenly engage themselves in learning out of oddity, interest, or enjoyment, or in order to achieve their own scholarly and personal goals. Thus students with intrinsic motivation are more enthusiastic, self driven, challenging and feel pleasure in their studies.Intrinsically motivated students tend to prefer challenging tasks.

Extrinsic motivation: It is commonly viewed that extrinsically motivated student engages in learning
purely for attaining a reward or for avoiding some punishment.Extrinsic motivation means
to obtain some reward or avoid some punishment external to the activity itself such as grades, stickers or teacher approval.Students with extrinsic motivation try to drag themselves with academic assignments, feel compelled to learn, and always put minimal efforts to achieve maximum appreciations.

Results

The results indicate that academic performance amplifies between the ranges of 23 percent and 34 percent due to extrinsic motivation and intrinsic motivation. Also the comparisons of variables on
individual bases indicates that those students who adapt self-exploratory variable and altruism variable, rejection of alternative options variable tend to perform better, whereas student who adapt career and qualifications variable, social enjoyment variable and social pressure variable tend to perform less then expected. Also the study found positive and mutually causal relationship between student’s motivation and student’s academic performance. This relationship is reciprocal, meaning students who are more motivated perform better and student who perform better become more motivated.

implications

Any research article would be a waste without implications. This study helps in identifying the factors that will help educational thinkers to know students’ attitudes towards learning, what facilitates learning and what hinders in learning. Thus it will lead to better teaching methods and facilities to suit the student’s need thereby increasing their job competence.

Motivation:Cause of all actions

Why have i written this blog?why are you reading this blog? Why do you eat?Why do you love?

The answer to all of these actions is MOTIVATION!Motivation is the process that initiates, guides, and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. It is what causes you to act, whether it is reading this article, getting a glass of water to reduce thirst or reading a book to gain knowledge. So this blog will critically analyse the concept of motivation and help all of you to understand the reasons behind your actions. So lets get started!

Motivation describes the wants or needs that direct behavior toward a goal. It is an urge to behave or act in a way that will satisfy certain conditions, such as wishes, desires, or goals. Older theories of motivation stated that rational thought and reason were the guiding factors in human motivation; however, psychologists now believe that motivation may be rooted in basic impulses to optimize well-being, minimize physical pain, and maximize pleasure.

Motivation involves the biological, emotional, social, and cognitive forces that activate behavior. In everyday usage, the term “motivation” is frequently used to describe why a person does something. It is the driving force behind human actions.

So lets analyse the mechanism of motivation

Drives and motives

Motivations are commonly separated into drives and motives.

Drives are primarily biological, like thirst, hunger, sleepiness, and the need to reproduce—all of which lead us to seek out and take part in certain activities. Drives are believed to originate within a person and may not require external stimuli to encourage behavior.

Motives, on the other hand, are primarily driven by social and psychological mechanisms, such as work, family, and relationships. They include factors like praise and approval.

INtrinsic and extrinsic motivation

Motivation can be intrinsic (arising from internal factors) or extrinsic (arising from external factors).

Intrinsic:arise from within the individual, such as doing a complicated crossword puzzle purely for the personal gratification of solving a problem.

Extrinsic:arise from outside of the individual and often involve rewards such as trophies, money, social recognition, or praise.

In reality, our motivations are often a mix of both intrinsic and extrinsic factors, and the nature of the mix can change over time.Sometimes, intrinsic motivation can diminish when extrinsic motivation is given—a process known as the overjustification effect. This can lead to extinguishing the intrinsic motivation and creating a dependence on extrinsic rewards for continued performance.

Motivation v/s emotion

While motivation and emotion can be intricately linked, they are two fundamentally different things. Motivation describes the wants or needs that direct behavior toward a goal; in contrast, an emotion is a subjective state of being that we often describe as a feeling. Emotion and motivation are linked in several ways: both influence behavior and can lead us to take action, and emotion itself can act as a motivator.

The need to understand motivation

So at the end of this article, lets see what is the use of understanding the concept of motivation.Understanding motivation can:

  • Help improve the efficiency of people as they work toward goals
  • Help people take action
  • Encourage people to engage in health-oriented behaviors
  • Help people avoid unhealthy or maladaptive behaviors such as risk-taking and addiction
  • Help people feel more in control of their lives
  • Improve overall well-being and happiness

Psychological impact of Covid-19

As a result of the emergence of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection in the Chinese city of Wuhan, a situation of socio-economic crisis and profound psychological distress rapidly occurred worldwide.

So this blog will look into various forms of psychological distress bought in by this pandemic due to educate and sensitize the readers about these issues.

Many psychological problems and important consequences in terms of mental health including stress, anxiety, depression, frustration, uncertainty during COVID-19 outbreak emerged progressively.Common psychological reactions related to the mass quarantine which was imposed in order to attenuate the COVID-19 spread are generalized fear and pervasive community anxiety which are typically associated with disease outbreaks, and increased with the escalation of new cases together with inadequate, anxiety-provoking information which was provided by media. The psychological reactions to COVID-19 pandemic may vary from a panic behavior or collective hysteria to pervasive feelings of hopelessness and desperation which are associated with negative outcomes including suicidal behavior.Importantly, other health measures may be compromised by abnormally elevated anxiety.

As the general population became increasingly exposed, anxiety-provoking topics related to this emergence of the health and socio-economic crisis need to be rapidly identified to early detect dysfunctional processes and maladaptive lifestyle changes potentially leading to the onset of psychiatric conditions.

So let us discuss the most important psychological impacts of COVID which are the root cause of other mental disorders :

-uncontrolled fears related to infection

This is commonly one of the most frequent psychological reaction to pandemics. Several existing studies demonstrated that those who have been exposed to the risk of infection may develop pervasive fears about their health, worries to infect others and fear infecting family members.

-Pervasive anxiety

Social isolation related to restrictions and lockdown measures are linked to feelings of uncertainty for the future, fear of new and unknown infective agents resulting in abnormally increased anxiety.Anxiety may be directly related to sensorial deprivation and pervasive loneliness.

-Frustration and boredom

Distress, boredom, social isolation and frustration are directly related to confinement, abnormally reduced social/physical contact with others, and loss of usual habits.

-LONELINESS

The final effect of social isolation is pervasive loneliness and boredom, which have potential dramatic effects on both physical and mental individual well-being. Pervasive loneliness may be significantly associated with increased depression and suicidal behavior.Unfortunately, the isolation is progressively enhanced by anxiety, panic or collective hysteria. Cognitive functions and decision making are firstly impaired by hyperarousal and anxiety and later by disabling feelings of loneliness.

After looking at these gruesome psychological impacts,it is crystal clear so as to how psychologically damaging this pandemic has been! The protective factors against these impacts include social support and psychological support.

Implementing community-based strategies to support resilience and psychologically vulnerable individuals during the COVID-19 crisis is fundamental for any community. The psychological impact of fear and anxiety due to the horrible spread of pandemic needs to be clearly recognized as a public health priority for both authorities and policy makers who should adopt clear behavioral and interventional strategies to reduce the burden of disease and the dramatic mental health consequences of this outbreak.

ONLINE EDUCATION PROS V/S CONS

The Majestic year 2020 is marked by two major events. One is the Onset of the worst pandemic that the entire world is reeling under and the other as the title suggests is Online learning!

The Use of Online Learning or E Learning has skyrocketed in the recent times as the only mode of education in a social distancing setup.Indeed it is a necessity as education cannot be put to rest halting the progress of millions of students. As a coin has two sides, similarly online form of education has it’s own perks and drawbacks. So lets find out more!READ MORE

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is online-learning.png

Online schooling is a popular alternative to attending a brick-and-mortar college or university. Though online students don’t get the face-to-face experiences of a typical on-campus student, there are many benefits and advantages to online learning, also known as distance learning or e-learning.

While not every program or school imaginable has an online option, a large number of them do, and many programs are nationally or regionally accredited. Students can learn through online lectures, projects and discussions. Online degree programs are available at every level, from certificates to doctorates.

Owing to the Covid situation, organisations that used to vouch for traditional methods of education are now radically shifting towards online education because there is no other alternative.Earlier online education used to be an alternative, now it is the only choice for those who want to desperately continue their education.

When Online Education is the new reality,it is very essential to keep in mind it’s advantages and disadvantages to take maximum benefits out of it and also minimize stress levels.

ADVANTAGES

-Convenient Learning:It can be undertaken anywhere ranging from a tiny corner in the living room to a study table in the bedroom and without a particular dress code(still modest dressing is expected).

-No Infrastructure:No physical infrastructure such as building, classrooms and benches are required for online education.

-Less Travelling: In Online classes there is no need to undertake strenuous travelling routines as students can attend the classes from the comfort of their homes.

-Recordings:Unlike the Traditional Systems,Online Education system provides an option of class recording and hence students can re watch the class recordings to make concepts clear.

-Virtual Reality(VR):Teachers in the online mode can make use of Virtual Reality Techniques to make students understand complex topics in an interesting way.

DISADVANTAGES

-Motivation:The laid back nature of the online classes do not provide much motivation to the students.Students do not take online classes to be as serious as classroom and thus do not pay attention.

-Lack of Concrete Assessments:Online mode of education has so far not been promising for people with theoretical subjects as it is difficult to conduct heavy exams here.

-No practicals:People Who study medicine, chemistry and physics an understand how bad this can be!There are certain subjects which cannot be simply taught, practicals and experiments have to be performed to further the understanding.Online education does not support this.

-Stress on health:The negative impacts of online mode of education on the health of the students is indisputable!Several students have complained of migraines, back aches, eye pain and so forth.Students psychologically too have not been able to cope up with the sudden shift and are suffering.

Thus,Online mode of education is a tricky one and should be suitable for certain conditions,Since it is the only alternative now, educationists and policy makers should study the pros and cons to make amends in the present online education structure to suit the demands of students. We have to always remember that Education is fruitful only when it reaches learners effectively!

WARLI ART

“When you want to make the main color pure and bright, don’t just keep adding bright colors on it. Just make the colors around the spot darker and dull. It will give the scene dramatic effects. I think life is the same.”- Hiroko Sakai

It is a style of painting that was created mostly by tribal people of Maharashtra. They were drawn on the wall of huts, caves and roadside. It comprises of different geometrical shapes symbolizing nature elements. Male gods are unusual among the Warli and are frequently related to spirits that have taken human shape.

Central aspects depicted in many Warli paintings is the Tarpa dance. A mixture of red sandstone and brick is used to create the background along with chalk powder which completes the painting.
Walls are painted only to mark special occasions such as weddings, festivals, or harvests.
Today, small paintings are done on cloth and paper but they look best on the walls or in the form of huge murals that bring out the vast and magical world of the Warlis.
Warli painting is specially designed by certain households to sell in fair and shops of handmade goods are set up. You could also found warli on the walls of big households and firms.

Warli art to some extent makes us think of being environmentally conscious and finding joy in simple things of life. The art had spread to regions of Rajasthan and Odisha as well.
Jivya Mashe was awarded the Padma Shri in 2011 for making the art form popular in international circuits. This helps to keep the traditional culture alive.

Every art form has its own beautiful significance which helps to keep our culture eternal.

How money works inside MMORPGs?

Massively multiplayer online role-playing games has been played by millions around the world. They have been amazing. In such games majority of trade is done through a plan to plan trading system where one player window shade with another player for the sale of an item and they both plans would engage in a hand to hand virtual trade. This is so truly unique and resembles the functionality of an economy from a time period that represented. There are a lot of assumptions made about training in traditional academic economics. The big ones are that people will act rationally when making their competition. We always have perfect access to all of the information that we need to make that decision. That we are ultimately have unlimited one, but learning limited resources in which to fill those ones in video games like Eve online, for example, these assumptions actually kind of hold up. The market system is pretty sterility. Players have access to all the information that they need and they can just click and buy the cheapest option available to them for the item. They have determined that they need. This makes it pretty textbook. Next time clip different. There was no huge market tablet pricing information. It was just good old school personal person training and this meant that sidewalk in the economy had to step outside the comfort zone of these perfectly consumption and stepped into the world of business.

Promotion had to get the word out about your item place. Where can people go by? What are you actually selling? Body will. Do what you say well now. Typical video game market. Most of these points are really matter. People know when I’m tired and for the most part there are likely many, many, many identical copies of exactly the same item on the game server somewhere. And if you right click show invoke, it gives you all the information you need as to what does, so there goes the product and promotion. OK market with some other purchase’s items directly into place inventory so they don’t have to worry about the placement of an item. Minor really what it comes down to is knowing what you need. Open up the market. I like it. I want it. I got it conference paper applied on this more limiting play the plan training model. Though the 40s were much more important. Players would make sure they position well in trading swings and would refine their shouts into fantastic products they had to offer. Reputation was important to scan for prevalent and price with a bit of shopping, dark and ultimately it came down to. Good old-fashioned handling right there and then. This kind of old school exchange-based trading system was amazing. Unfortunately it was much much harder to monitor professional players that would harvest ruins back Golden Valley game items using automatic aimbots and trade them for Real Money and prices well below what the game developer for this kind of activity was of course not permitted by the game filters but nearly flew under the radar is kind of player to player trading system. So, if 2007 MMORPGs had slowly adapted a trading system for similar to these textbook market places that we see in other video games. This is not the same. Incredibly interesting point to note though, as I was conducting research on this account, you reached out to me and Rectal paper that he had written by inflation computer games with the case study specifically on MMORPGs. But these are so this paper is that rotates markets and more specifically its market prices, but just as dependent on real world influences as markets for cars or oil or shares, but highly recommend that anybody can read this paper, the main focal point of view is the study of the relationship between MMORPGs gold US dollars and we’re expecting which don’t actually have that much in common with real world bonds in ours. They just use given account premium subscriptions again for 14 days. Bonds can be purchased using real world money and then creating game for God. So, the game is legitimate market for gold. Basically, have a foreign exchange market with a real-world currency through these bonds just as they were foreign exchange analyst for real world currency exchanges. The relationship between US dollars at the MMORPGs gold market in a very particular instance in late 2018. Opening to get the game through his more engagement platform. This initially sorry huge spike. Open the game. This would have been a reasonable assumption if it were not for one major motorcycle. Mobile players were more open to the idea of Microtransactions and paying your money not to get ahead in the game. Instead of riding the Golden ring payment by bringing attention bond with them, they would actually rather pay real money for these bonds and stuff in the game. Forgot to get a head start over? Regular players would have to earn this goal in game. This ultimately sort huge downturn. Comparatively more valuable than one relationship.
