It is heartbreaking how some of the Kashmiri youth are getting distracted into false and heinous crimes, where they are forced to be a part of terrorist groups and made to pick up guns and kill people. How sad it would be for a mother who loses her child, who joins a terrorist group and works against the country. Since Kashmir is facing many hardships beginning from Article 370 which includes communication blackout, internet services, people have to jail themselves at home and wait for the orders of reopening. This was one part of the story where Kashmir has become the highly militarised zone because of constant protest and fights, where Article 370 has separated the roots of Kashmir, where some of the young boys are forcefully made to join terrorist groups and fight for the evil things.

One such story is of Khurshad Ahmad a 23 year old young boy who went to a nearby valley with his herd and never came back. His family was worried for him and searched everywhere but couldn’t find a single clue of him. After few months the family was informed that Khurshad was shot dead in a gun fight in Sugg village. This news left his family, specially his mother helpless and heartbroken, where they couldn’t even fight for their child, where they couldn’t even ask the terrorists that why they did this to their son and why a 23 yr old lad was made to hold a gun instead of holding a book and working hard to take the responsibilities of his family.

There are many more stories which you and me don’t know because fortunately we are sitting safely at homes and taking care of ourselves, if we think about the people in Kashmir, we can’t even fathom the problems which they are suffering from, poverty, climatic changes, war, protest and now their children are joining rebel groups. This is not a choice for them, they are forced to do so, they are brain washed in a way that they just can’t ignore the facts to join the terrorist group and become one of them but what is left behind is their family, the mothers, who patiently wait for the child to return but little did she know that her child would never return, his mind and soul has been captured by the evils and they will never leave him until they eat him up.

My dear friends, we don’t know where our destiny will take us, but we should always think about others, pray for the people of Kashmir, pray that they get peace and they can also live normal lives like us.

Inceldom: a scourge to the society

Incels or as they describe themselves as the involuntarily celibate, are slowly gaining prominence on various social platforms like reddit and 4chan. These are males who treat women like sexual objects and feel that their lack of a sex life is due to a large conspiracy that all females are doing. They feel that it is their right to have a prominent sex life and that women’s time, bodies, and sexual desires should be primarily centred around men. They can easily be ignored as sad pathetic men which they certainly are, but the fact is that they are very dangerous for the society should they be allowed to thrive. The incel community gains a strong foothold in sexually frustrated men who have had an unsuccessful romantic life. Their beliefs include that “masculinity” trumps over any other power, Their beliefs are anti-feminist and a majority of the community support the idea that women should simply be enslaved so as to improve the society or as one incel member wrote on a 4chan thread “Enslaving them would free up men’s time to focus on more constructive goals like curing diseases, developing technology, [etc.]. It would be effortless too. Women are too weak and incompetent to put up a fight.”

These days a new belief has started within the incel community called Dogpiling: an online theory that implies women are rejecting men to engage in sexual acts with dogs. While this isn’t a mainstream idea yet, dogpiling is a longstanding theory that is rapidly beginning to thrive. Despite a lack of evidence (where would they even get it?) the idea has maintained its hold and is now slowly creeping its way to the mainstream incel community. Dogpill believers claim that the very fact that “there are more posts online of women describing romantic feelings for dogs rather than male virgins”, supports their theory.

Now to understand this we need to understand two very different “movements”. The first being Men Going Their Own Way, or the MGTOWs, who due to having bad experience with woman specifically in the romantic region have chosen to forsake any involvement with women. And the other more radical “movement” being that of the incel, who claim that women are knowingly refusing to have sexual relations with them. Their ideolog encompasses that women who are sexually active are “sluts” and they demonise the women who have premarital sex. There are a lot od narratives out their but all falling under two categories where men demonise sexually active women and that the said women get a kick out of rejecting “good” men. Hence Dogpiling snugly fits between the two narratives, that women would have relations with dogs to satisfy their sex drives and subsequently reject “good” men. A chat moderator for the group explains that the idea probably evolved from the theory that women need strong alpha males in their lives and that they do not care if their mate is human or not if they satisfy the above criteria. Should someone still be thinking that this is the work of some awkward teenage boys trying to vent out their frustration, need it be reminded that a few incels have made headlines over the last several years, even linked to terrorist attacks. Both Elliot Roger and Alek Minassian were self-proclaimed incels and Are often heralded in the incel community.

Incel community is filled with men describing violent ways they have lashed out against the women who have “wronged” them. Inceldom encourages straight men to alienate themselves from society and creates a black-and-white worldview. These people believe that women are the cause for men’s problems are encourage each other to treat sexually active people like their enemies. These are a group of sick, misogynistic hostile filth in the form of humans, many of whom are way beyond help. Because in order to help these pathetic excuses for human beings, one would need to make them realize that they are wrong. But very often these men think that they are the “oppressed victims” of the women’s “atrocities”.

  Filth no matter what kind must be eradicated at some point, how this unfolds is for all of us to see.

Holy Week and Easter in the time of pandemic

Last April, Holy Week and Easter were marred by the fire in the cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris and by terrorist attacks upon churches in Sri Lanka. This month, Holy Week and Easter seem overshadowed by the COVIN-19 pandemic. Good stewardship of our own health, and love for our neighbors prompting concern for their health, keeps most Christians from gathering for services during these very special days. Neither violence nor disease can mar or overshadow the meaning of these days. Christ has redeemed us from sin and death. Christ has rescued us from all evil. Christ has risen from the dead; he lives and reigns to all eternity.

Sin resembles a communicable disease. It spreads throughout the world, and none of us are immune from its infection. Sin separates us from one another. Sin builds barriers that keep us from loving each other as we should love. Sin isolates us. Sin even separates us from the God who created us. The wages of sin is death, and this death comes in a variety of forms, each of which is a separation. Separation from God is spiritual death. The soul’s separation from the body is physical death. Combined, they result in eternal death. Every sinful separation is a kind of death. Sin can separate members of families. Sin can sever friendships. Because of sin, each of us is divided internally; none of us is in touch with the holy person God meant us to be.

Jesus, the Son of God, came into this wilderness of sin and death. Like a shepherd, Jesus came to seek and to save what was lost. In the wilderness he battled the devil, overcoming Satan’s temptations. In all his days, Jesus led a sinless life, obeying all his Father’s commands, fulfilling perfect righteousness. Jesus then faced the ugliness of sin and death in their fullness. He was betrayed, denied, accused, convicted, mocked, tortured, and killed. He deserved none of these things. Because evil is unfair, good people suffer in this world. Because evil is unfair, the one perfect Person suffered and died. Because evil is unfair, God himself became unfair, granting us the rewards earned by his Son’s righteousness and placing the burden of our guilt upon Him.

Good stewardship of our health and love for our neighbors will keep us in our homes this Good Friday and this Easter. We still live in a sin-polluted world, a world infected by evil and the separations evil causes. But our isolation is not permanent. Many Christians enjoy the benefit of Internet services, which allow us to join our voices in worship even though we are physically apart. All Christians have access to the Word of God, which proclaims his love and mercy and assures us of our place in his kingdom. All of us are guaranteed the love of God, which we will know in its fullness in the new creation, but which we enjoy already today. We know that nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God which is in Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. J.
