Feminism isn’t about shaming or hating men and if you think it is, let me explain.
It is all about calling society on out how it treats men and women differently. It is about asking for the same freedom and opportunity. If you think we already have it, you are in denial! Feminism is a word that is empowering for some and hated by many.
Lately the word and the movement have been misunderstood by both men and women. It is now associated as “anti-men” or a “men-hating” movement by many. People think of feminism as angry women, asking other women not to wear hijabs and covered clothes, also criticising housewives for their choice. There are statements like “I believe in equality, but I am not a feminist” or “I am a humanist”; it doesn’t make you cool or less judged by society.
Pseudo feminism and feminazis are definitely noticeable. It isn’t about superiority or inferiority of any gender; especially it is not to degrade men. Both men and women fought for equality and basic human rights, TOGETHER in the past. As a human, I am delighted enough because I know that a good mass of women have struggled and fought for this basic tight to express themselves, back in the history.
We all have heard that if feminism is all about equality “can I slap back a woman of she slaps me?”, and according to me the answer is, violence against you must not be tolerated and no one has the right to hit anyone, irrespective of genders. But why the whole concept of feminism viewed with certain wrong instances in mind? Why is it all about “whether you can hit the opposite sex or not”. It is unfortunate to see people mocking feminism. But the fact is; there are individuals who totally misinterpreted the concept of feminism and use it against men, but it doesn’t really change what it is! Feminism is just an ideology that simply believes in equality. Real feminist are exclusively fighting to remove patriarchal society and gender roles. Using the word “real” before feminism is sad because some people out there doing wrong things under the name of feminism and they need to know the opposite of patriarchy is not matriarchy, it is EQUALITY!
Let’s try not to put someone down to uplift ourselves. It’s time to accept the fact that we all need each other’s support.
A Healthy life and lifestyle is what every individual desires along with money and better close relationships. These are the key factors to live a happy and satisfied life and disbalance in any of the above leads humans to a stage of depression, stress and tension. Humans have been working since ages and have somewhat been able to maintain balance between all these, but surely all these three pillars of happy and pleasure life are surely connected to each other. As an old proverb comes to our mind that “health is wealth”, and surely is the element which every one wants to be better. If one is healthy enough, he would be able to work and earn better money and similarly have less stress and tension, thus would also maintain better relationships with close ones.
Considering today’s scenario, the era of Pandemic Covid -19 , one needs to remain fit and healthy so as to fight back and eradicate the existence of this disease until it’s vaccine comes into action. But “which factor truly defines a healthy person and good Health”. Immunity, the factor which defines how a healthy any individual is based on his/ her own day to day activities including both diet as well as physical work efforts. Immunity is the element which is helping people to recover from this .So it surely explains the importance of strong immunity for any individual to be healthy.
But human immunity has been observed to fall the scale from past few years in various parts of the world. This is surely due to an unbalanced lifestyle, more stress , tension and limited physical exercise. Man has made himself weak by also eating more of the junk food which definitely lacks the desired proteins and nutrients, and thus basic requirements due to which the body does suffer.
So we clearly understand the importance of immunity and how it has a key role to help us fight back, bacteria and other diseases. But the question which comes to mind is “How are we losing down on our immunity or why immunity levels are decreasing day by day in individuals”. So the reason for the same include:
Lack of physical exercise – Exercise helps to reduce stress and releases various antibodies which are effective to fight these Diseases.
Junk foods
Less water intake
Consumption of excessive caffeine
Smoking
Excessive alcohol and drugs
Consuming foods with Fat and sugar content
Lack of inadequate sleep.
These factors surely have an effect on our health and day to day activities and thus do affect our immune system and reduce it’s capabilities to fight back viruses, bacterias and other infections .
Therefore one should definitely come up with the plans to fight back this issue letting to reduce the immunity of individuals by working on the elements they lack in daily activities. This could surely include:
1-2 hour of exercise and yoga
Restricting To Eat oily and other junk food.
Consuming desired water content each day.
Reducing the content of caffeine in their drinks.
Stop smoking and it’s consumption
Adequate sleep.
“Weall know that health is surely the best and the most precious element which a human has and if he has it, then he could surely achieve heights and thus become successful. So in order to remain healthy one must focus on improving their immunity by boosting it with desired exercises and food and these small steps toward securing our own health, we would definitely make ourselves and also our surrounding healthy thus leasing to our neighborhood be stress free, relaxed and much happier”.
Mental health refers to cognitive, behavioral, and emotional well-being. It is all about how people think, feel, and behave. People sometimes use the term “mental health” to mean the absence of a mental disorder.
However, this link also works in the other direction. Factors in people’s lives, interpersonal connections, and physical factors can all contribute to mental health disruptions.
Looking after mental health can preserve a person’s ability to enjoy life. Doing this involves reaching a balance between life activities, responsibilities, and efforts to achieve psychological resilience.
Conditions such as stress, depression, and anxiety can all affect mental health and disrupt a person’s routine.
Although the term mental health is in common use, many conditions that doctors recognize as psychological disorders have physical roots.
In this article, we explain what people mean by mental health and mental illness. We also describe the most common types of mental disorders, including their early signs and how to treat them.
What is mental health?
Mental health disorders are one of the leading causes of disability in the U.S.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO):
“Mental health is a state of well-being in which an individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.”
The WHO stress that mental health is “more than just the absence of mental disorders or disabilities.” Peak mental health is about not only avoiding active conditions but also looking after ongoing wellness and happiness.
They also emphasize that preserving and restoring mental health is crucial on an individual basis, as well as throughout different communities and societies the world over.
In the United States, the National Alliance on Mental Illness estimate that almost 1 in 5 adults experience mental health problems each year.
In 2017, an estimated 11.2 million adults in the U.S., or about 4.5% of adults, had a severe psychological condition, according to the National Institute of Mental Health
Risk factors for mental health conditions
Everyone has some risk of developing a mental health disorder, no matter their age, sex, income, or ethnicity.
In the U.S. and much of the developed world, mental disorders are one of the leading causes of disability.
Social and financial circumstances, biological factors, and lifestyle choices can all shape a person’s mental health.
A large proportion of people with a mental health disorder have more than one condition at a time.
It is important to note that good mental health depends on a delicate balance of factors and that several elements of life and the world at large can work together to contribute to disorders.
The following factors may contribute to mental health disruptions.
Continuous social and economic pressure
Having limited financial means or belonging to a marginalized or persecuted ethnic group can increase the risk of mental health disorders.
A 2015 study of 903 families in Iran identified several socioeconomic causes of mental health conditions, including poverty and living on the outskirts of a large city.
The researchers also explained the difference in the availability and quality of mental health treatment for certain groups in terms of modifiable factors, which can change over time, and nonmodifiable factors, which are permanent.
Modifiable factors for mental health disorders include:
socioeconomic conditions, such whether work is available in the local area
occupation
a person’s level of social involvement
education
housing quality
Nonmodifiable factors include:
gender
age
ethnicity
The study lists gender as both a modifiable and nonmodifiable factor. The researchers found that being female increased the risk of low mental health status by 3.96 times.
People with a “weak economic status” also scored highest for mental health conditions in this study.
Biological factors
The NIMH suggest that genetic family history can increase the likelihood of mental health conditions, as certain genes and gene variants put a person at higher risk.
However, many other factors contribute to the development of these disorders.
Having a gene with links to a mental health disorder, such as depression or schizophrenia, does not guarantee that a condition will develop. Likewise, people without related genes or a family history of mental illness can still have mental health issues.
Mental health conditions such as stress, depression, and anxiety may develop due to underlying, life-changing physical health problems, such as cancer, diabetes, and chronic pain.
Common mental health disorders
The most common types of mental illness are as follows:
anxiety disorders
mood disorders
schizophrenia disorders
Anxiety disorders
According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anxiety disorders are the most common type of mental illness.
People with these conditions have severe fear or anxiety, which relates to certain objects or situations. Most people with an anxiety disorder will try to avoid exposure to whatever triggers their anxiety.
Examples of anxiety disorders include:
Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
The American Psychiatric Association define GAD as disproportionate worry that disrupts everyday living.
People might also experience physical symptoms, including
restlessness
fatigue
tense muscles
interrupted sleep
A bout of anxiety symptoms does not necessarily need a specific trigger in people with GAD.
They may experience excessive anxiety on encountering everyday situations that do not present a direct danger, such as chores or keeping appointments. A person with GAD may sometimes feel anxiety with no trigger at all.
Panic disorders
People with a panic disorder experience regular panic attacks, which involve sudden, overwhelming terror or a sense of imminent disaster and death.
Phobias
There are different types of phobia:
Simple phobias: These might involve a disproportionate fear of specific objects, scenarios, or animals. A fear of spiders is a common example.
Social phobia: Sometimes known as social anxiety, this is a fear of being subject to the judgment of others. People with social phobia often restrict their exposure to social environments.
Agoraphobia: This term refers to a fear of situations in which getting away may be difficult, such as being in an elevator or moving train. Many people misunderstand this phobia as a fear of being outside.
Phobias are deeply personal, and doctors do not know every type. There could be thousands of phobias, and what might seem unusual to one person may be a severe problem that dominates daily life for another.
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
People with OCD have obsessions and compulsions. In other words, they experience constant, stressful thoughts and a powerful urge to perform repetitive acts, such as hand washing.
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
PTSD can occur after a person experiences or witnesses a deeply stressful or traumatic event.
During this type of event, the person thinks that their life or other people’s lives are in danger. They may feel afraid or that they have no control over what is happening.
These sensations of trauma and fear may then contribute to PTSD.
Mood disorders
People may also refer to mood disorders as affective disorders or depressive disorders.
People with these conditions have significant changes in mood, generally involving either mania, which is a period of high energy and elation, or depression. Examples of mood disorders include:
Major depression: An individual with major depression experiences a constant low mood and loses interest in activities and events that they previously enjoyed. They can feel prolonged periods of sadness or extreme sadness.
Bipolar disorder: A person with bipolar disorder experiences unusual changes in their mood, energy levels, levels of activity, and ability to continue with daily life. Periods of high mood are known as manic phases, while depressive phases bring on low mood.
Seasonal affective disorder (SAD): Reduced daylight triggers during the fall, winter, and early spring months trigger this type of major depression. It is most common in countries far from the equator.
Schizophrenia disorders
Mental health authorities are still trying to determine whether schizophrenia is a single disorder or a group of related illnesses. It is a highly complex condition.
Signs of schizophrenia typically develop between the ages of 16 and 30 years, according to the NIMH. The individual will have thoughts that appear fragmented, and they may also find it hard to process information.
Schizophrenia has negative and positive symptoms. Positive symptoms include delusions, thought disorders, and hallucinations. Negative symptoms include withdrawal, lack of motivation, and a flat or inappropriate mood.
Early signs
There is no physical test or scan that reliably indicates whether a person has developed a mental illness. However, people should look out for the following as possible signs of a mental health disorder:
withdrawing from friends, family, and colleagues
avoiding activities that they would normally enjoy
sleeping too much or too little
eating too much or too little
feeling hopeless
having consistently low energy
using mood-altering substances, including alcohol and nicotine, more frequently
displaying negative emotions
being confused
being unable to complete daily tasks, such as getting to work or cooking a meal
having persistent thoughts or memories that reappear regularly
thinking of causing physical harm to themselves or others
hearing voices
experiencing delusions
Treatment
There are various methods for managing mental health problems. Treatment is highly individual, and what works for one person may not work for another.
Some strategies or treatments are more successful in combination with others. A person living with a chronic mental disorder may choose different options at various stages in their life.
The individual needs to work closely with a doctor who can help them identify their needs and provide them with suitable treatment.
Treatments can include:
Psychotherapy, or talking therapies
This type of treatment takes a psychological approach to treating mental illness. Cognitive behavioural Therapy, exposure therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy are examples.
Psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, and some primary care physicians carry out this type of treatment.
It can help people understand the root of their mental illness and start to work on more healthful thought patterns that support everyday living and reduce the risk of isolation and self-harm.
Medication
Some people take prescribed medications, such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, and anxiolytic drugs.
Although these cannot cure mental disorders, some medications can improve symptoms and help a person resume social interaction and a normal routine while they work on their mental health.
Some of these medications work by boosting the body’s absorption of feel-good chemicals, such as serotonin, from the brain. Other drugs either boost the overall levels of these chemicals or prevent their degradation or destruction.
Self-help
A person coping with mental health difficulties will usually need to make changes to their lifestyle to facilitate wellness.
Such changes might include reducing alcohol intake, sleeping more, and eating a balanced, nutritious diet. People may need to take time away from work or resolve issues with personal relationships that may be causing damage to their mental health.
People with conditions such as an anxiety or depressive disorder may benefit from relaxation techniques, which include deep breathing, meditation, and mindfulness.
Having a support network, whether via self-help groups or close friends and family, can also be essential to recovery from mental illness.
Suicide prevention
If you know someone at immediate risk of self-harm, suicide, or hurting another person:
Ask the tough question: “Are you considering suicide?”
Listen to the person without judgment.
Call 911 or the local emergency number, or text TALK to 741741 to communicate with a trained crisis counselor.
Stay with the person until professional help arrives.
Try to remove any weapons, medications, or other potentially harmful objects.
Space may be the final frontier, but it continues to pose myriad technical challenges as commercial and government-driven space investment continues. One of those challenges is developing more effective space-based communication systems for the increasing number of satellites and spacecrafts that need to interact with one another in the void. A team of researchers has developed an algorithm to enable cognitive radio functions on satellite communications systems to adapt themselves autonomously.
Current space communication systems deploy radio-resource selection algorithms, but they are rudimentary and work with a pre-programmed look-up table. Furthermore, they have little flexibility regarding the various parameters for the performance goals the system needs to achieve. Researchers from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Pennsylvania State University and NASA’s John H. Glenn Research Center, have designed a new algorithm that allows autonomous parameter selection for radio resource allocated using a novel artificial intelligence architecture.

Autonomous space communication is critical because space is a harsh environment. A number of things can go wrong in space, which why space communications systems should be able to operate without human intervention. The team’s algorithms could serve as the core of a new cognitive engine (CE) used as a baseline for developing communication systems for the next generation of spacecraft and satellites.
The team developed a CE design that autonomously selects multiple radio transmitter settings while attempting to achieve multiple conflicting goals in a dynamically changing communications channel. It accomplishes this by leveraging reinforcement learning (RL) and “virtual exploration” structures studied in the author’s previous research. The CE integrates these with a novel artificial neural network ensemble design and new algorithms to implement the exploitation aspect of multi-objective reinforcement learning (MORL).

Through RL, the artificial neural network can be trained to adapt to the dynamic conditions of space through multiple trials and experiments, as the algorithm is set up to learn in a manner similar to the human brain by weighing inputs to achieve a goal. In the researchers’ CE, the system can learn how to adapt to achieve multiple goals for satellite communication.
The proof-of-concept design was created through computational simulations as well as ground- and spaced-based experiments. It successfully addresses the limitations of current technology by enabling:
Table-free state-action mapping with fixed memory size;
Operation over dynamically changing channels;
Decoupling of states from actions &
Usage of continuous action and state spaces.
As space exploration continues to develop with trips to the moon and Mars, cognitive radio and communication systems will be essential for space flight. There will be a need for space “internetworking” to manage the interaction of user spacecrafts, relay spacecrafts and ground stations. This new CE could be a needed progression for space communication to be more efficient and reliable for any situation encountered during space travel.
Typhoid Fever or Typhoid is a systemic enteric infection caused by bacteria usually through ingestion of contaminated food or water. The disease is also referred by several other names such as Gastric Fever, Enteric Fever, Abdominal Typhus, Infantile Remittent Fever, Slow Fever, Nervous Fever, and Pythogenic Fever. The disease causes several symptoms causing mild to severe problems for the patients. The symptoms are generally seen from six to thirty days after exposure. Generally there is the gradual onset of high fever for several days, weakness, abdominal pain, constipation, headaches, and vomiting. Some people also develop a skin rash with red colored spots. The cause of the disease is the bacterium Salmonella typhi which is also known as Salmonella enterica serotype typhi , mainly growing in the intestines and blood. Risk factors include poor sanitation and poor hygiene. Diagnosis of the disease is done by either culturing the bacteria or detecting the bacterium’s DNA in the blood, stool, or bone marrow. Culturing the bacterium is little bit difficult so Bone marrow testing is the mostly used method. It has been observed that a typhoid vaccine can prevent about 40-90% of the infection during the first 2-7 years. But this vaccine is always recommended for the people at high risk or travelling to the places where this disease is so common. Other efforts which can be done to prevent the disease are clean drinking water, good sanitation, and hand washing. The disease is usually treated with several antibiotics such as Azithromycin, Fluoroquinolones or third generation cephalosporins.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS Usually, the complete course of untreated typhoid fever is divided into 4 different stages, where the each stage lasts for a week which makes the patient completely exhausted. • In the first week, the body temperature of the patient rises slowly, and the fever fluctuations are generally seen with relative bradycardia, malaise, headache, and cough. A bloody nose is also seen in this quarter of the disease and abdominal pain is also possible. There is also a decrease in the number of WBCs. Widal test is negative in the first week of the disease.
• In the second week, the person is often too tired to get up, with a very high fever and bradycardia is continued in this stage also with dicrotic pulse wave. In this stage, Delirium is frequent which gives the typhoid another name i.e. NERVOUS FEVER. Rose spots also appear on the lower chest and abdomen. Rhonchi are heard in lung bases. Diarrhea can occur in this stage : six to eight stools in a day, green, comparable to pea soup, with a characteristic foul smell. However, constipation is also frequent. The spleen and liver is enlarged and liver transaminases are elevated. Patients can still test positive.
The major symptoms of this fever is that the fever usually rises in the afternoon up to the first and second week.
• In the third week of the fever, a number of complications can occur like : Intestinal hemorrhage due to bleeding in congested Peyer’s patches: it can be very serious but is not usually fatal. Intestinal perforation in the distal ileum: this is a very serious complication and is usually fatal. Encephalitis. Respiratory diseases such as pneumonia and acute bronchitis. Neuropsychiatric symptoms with picking at bedclothes or imaginary objects. Metastatic abscesses, cholestasis, endocarditis, and osteitis. The fever is usually very high and oscillates very little over 24 hours. Dehydration is also caused. Platelet count goes down and risk of bleeding rises.
Product dupes/counterfeit products are doing the rounds in the market, they are available at cheap prices and are sold by squatters and illegal traders, they can be found at every other corner of the city and are even found online, they can be harmful to our health and many of us are obsessed with buying such products. Be it cosmetics, hand bags, watches or even clothes. An awareness surrounding this topic is necessary along with the precaution to stop the cycle of fake products in the market.
Cosmetic products–
You can easily find thousands of bad quality dupes available online or in stores and they have the most disgusting and ghastly chemical used to make them, they can damage your skin cause irritations and even allergies. Just because they are available at a cheap prices we are lured into buying them. Be it nail polishes, lipsticks or even eye makeup. Most of them contain toxic resins, glues and even fake colours which can harm us.
Handbags and purses–
They are found online and even in many tiny markets or flea markets, one can differentiate between a branded handbag and a fake handbag based on the quality of the leather or material or the straps and even the interior of the bag, even the sloppy stitching, the weight of the bag and the lock of the purse or bag can give one an idea about its brand.
Shoes/Footwear–
Many of these small stores or markets sell fake shoes and there are many factories and business which mint a lot of money, the quality is quite bad and by the weight of the shoe and the shoelaces one can easily figure out if its fake or real, There are many online sites which actually sell fake shoes at whole sale prices and most of the markets in south Asia harbour this business along with the production of fake shoes.
Clothing–
This is one of the biggest market which mints a huge amount of money, and its present all over the world, even though people are aware about the fake products, they still go ahead and buy the fake clothing as it available at a cheap price and is in trend. Many of us really don’t need a reason to shop. By checking the stitching on the cloth/clothing products one can identify if it real or counterfeit, even the zipper of the real product be it a jacket or a pair of jeans should move easily. Mostly the buttons of the branded products would have the signature logo name or design on it. The fabric would be of a good quality.
Accessories–
Watches, goggles or sun glasses can also be counterfeit, it’s very important that one checks the durability of the product along with the warranty as well as the price and, in case of watches on one needs to check behind the dial to see the embossed logo and also to check the strap and the documents guaranteeing the originality, in case of sunglasses it better if bought from the brand store itself, if buying online one needs to be very cautious.
It’s mostly the road side sellers and other mini markets which tend to sell counterfeit products and even on online e-commerce sites one should check the reviews, the seller, the description of the product and also the number of buyers to be sure if its real or not. Hence one needs to be careful before buying products.
A new method called “reactive 4D printing” creates objects that can take on alternate forms in response to changes in temperature, electric current, or stress.
The method could bring soft robots and biomedical implants that reconfigure themselves upon demand closer to reality.
The researchers first reported their ability to make morphing structures in a mold in 2018. But using the same chemistry for 3D printing limited structures to shapes that sat in the same plane. That meant no bumps or other complex curvatures could be programmed as the alternate shape.
Overcoming that limitation to decouple the printing process from shaping is a significant step toward more useful materials, says Rafael Verduzco, an associate professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering and of materials science and nanoengineering at Rice University .
“These materials, once fabricated, will change shape autonomously,” Verduzco says. “We needed a method to control and define this shape change. Our simple idea was to use multiple reactions in sequence to print the material and then dictate how it would change shape. Rather than trying to do this all in one step, our approach gives more flexibility in controlling the initial and final shapes and also allows us to print complex structures.”
The lab’s challenge was to create a liquid crystal polymer “ink” that incorporates mutually exclusive sets of chemical links between molecules. One establishes the original printed shape, and the other can be set by physically manipulating the printed-and-dried material. Curing the alternate form under ultraviolet light locks in those links.
Once the two programmed forms are set, the material can then morph back and forth when, for instance, it’s heated or cooled.
The researchers had to find a polymer mix that could be printed in a catalyst bath and still hold its original programmed shape.
There were a lot of parameters we had to optimize—from the solvents and catalyst used, to degree of swelling, and ink formula—to allow the ink to solidify rapidly enough to print while not inhibiting the desired final shape actuation,” Barnes says.
One remaining limitation of the reactive 4D printing process is the ability to print unsupported structures, like columns. To do so would require a solution that gels just enough to support itself during printing, she says. Gaining that ability will allow researchers to print far more complex combinations of shapes.
“Future work will further optimize the printing formula and use scaffold-assisted printing techniques to create actuators that transition between two different complex shapes,” Barnes says. “This opens the door to printing soft robotics that could swim like a jellyfish, jump like a cricket, or transport liquids like the heart.”
Today’s 3D printing creates items from a wide variety of materials — plastic, ceramic, glass, metal, and even more unusual ingredients such as chocolate and living cells. The machines work by setting down layers of material just like ordinary printers lay down ink, except 3D printers can also deposit flat layers on top of each other to build 3D objects.
“Today, this technology can be found not just in industry, but [also] in households for less than $1,000,” said lead study author Dan Raviv, a mathematician at MIT. “Knowing you can print almost anything, not just 2D paper, opens a window to unlimited opportunities, where toys, household appliances and tools can be ordered online and manufactured in our living rooms.”
Now, in a further step, Raviv and his colleagues are developing 4D printing, which involves 3D printing items that are designed to change shape after they are printed. [The 10 Weirdest Things Created By 3D Printing]
“The most exciting part is the numerous applications that can emerge from this work,” Raviv told Live Science. “This is not just a cool project or an interesting solution, but something that can change the lives of many.”
In a report published online today (Dec. 18) in the journal Scientific Reports, the researchers explain how they printed 3D structures using two materials with different properties. One material was a stiff plastic, and stayed rigid, while the other was water absorbent, and could double in volume when submerged in water. The precise formula of this water-absorbent material, developed by 3D-printing company Stratasys in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, remains a secret.
The researchers printed up a square grid, measuring about 15 inches (38 centimeters) on each side. When they placed the grid in water, they found that the water-absorbent material could act like joints that stretch and fold, producing a broad range of shapes with complex geometries. For example, the researchers created a 3D-printed shape that resembled the initials “MIT” that could transform into another shape resembling the initials “SAL.”
“In the future, we imagine a wide range of applications,” Raviv said. These could include appliances that can adapt to heat and improve functionality or comfort, childcare products that can react to humidity or temperature, and clothing and footwear that will perform better by sensing the environment, he said.
In addition, 4D-printed objects could lead to novel medical implants. “Today, researchers are printing biocompatible parts to be implanted in our body,” Raviv said. “We can now generate structures that will change shape and functionality without external intervention.”
One key health-care application might be cardiac stents, tubes placed inside the heart to aid healing. “We want to print parts that can survive a lifetime inside the body if necessary,” Raviv said.
The researchers now want to create both larger and smaller 4D-printed objects. “Currently, we’ve made items a few centimeters in size,” Raviv said. “For things that go inside the body, we want to go 10 to 100 times smaller. For home appliances, we want to go 10 times larger.”
Raviv cautioned that a great deal of research is needed to improve the materials used in 4D printing. For instance, although the 4D-printed objects the researchers developed can withstand a few cycles of wetting and drying, after several dozen cycles of folding and unfolding, the materials lose their ability to change shape. The scientists said they would also like to develop materials that respond to factors other than water, such as heat and light.
Listening is the habit in which we are somewhere lacking. Everyone just want to say things, talk about their things and if we even listen to other, then we start giving advices without knowing what the person is going through. This is not only present in one relationship but in every relationship.
If we talk about the parent-child relationship, in many suicide cases, we can see that parents don’t even know that their child is suffering from depression because the only talk which takes place in our homes is how are you doing in your studies or what you will do in your career. May be exception are there, but many parents don’t even ask something about their life, how they are feeling, about their moods etc. In a short film it is said, “Parents know when their children need extra tutions, but parents don’t know when their children need counseling it.” And children don’t share with their parents in the fear of being scolded or being judged.
Similarly we can’t share many things with our friends too in the fear of being judged. We started thinking if they come to know about it what they think of me. May be they broke their friendship with me.
So due to this the person alone bear all the troubles and fear and when it become unbearable then it leads to depression and suicide. So, it is very important to create a space when they are only listened and not judged.
It is very important for all of us to assure our loved ones that you are always available whenever they want anything to share and they don’t have to worry about being judged. It is necessary to talk to your loved ones by keeping your ego aside and talk and always tell them how important they are for you.
Parents too also assure their children that the most important thing in their life is their children, not the marks or good job and if they come across any problem they can talk to you anytime without worrying about anything. It is very important to accept them as they are.
It is necessary that when someone comes to you with their problem, first listen them properly without simply come to conclusion, what they should do or what day shouldn’t. Sometimes people want someone who can just listen them.
It is very important to keep a check on your loved ones and check on any change in their behaviour. Just tell them that you are always their for them and build up their trust when they come to seek help from you.
So let’s be sensitive and non judgemental and try to listen to the people as much as possible so that no one has to end up their life by think that they are alone in this world.
After a certain age our growth plates become inactive(close) and height stop increasing .It’s no secret that girls stop growing before boys .According to fashion industry the women who is 5’3 or below comes under petite.Average height of women in India is approximately 5 feet which means most of the women comes under petite frame . Victoria Beckham and Scarlett johansson all fall under 5’4.All these ladies add few inches to their height using some smart styling tricks. That you might not have noticed .Unluckily ,we can’t add up few inches to our height but we can create a illusion of being tall using these tips and tricks .
Well fitted Clothes
Well fitted clothes always seem to make a difference . You can make your clothes stitched by the tailor ,so that it fits accordingly to the shape and size of your body.
High waisted jeans and crop tops
High waisted jeans and crop top makes your legs look longer and makes your torso comparatively shorter. It doesn’t divide your body in equal halves thus create a illusion of height. You can even tuck your upper wear or knot your t -shirt to wear it as a crop top.
MONOTONOUS OUTFIT
Wearing same colored outfit from top to bottom will not divide your body and eventually makes you look taller .Since a one solid colored outfit makes a illusion oh height.
Vertical stripes
Be it any clothing piece vertical stripes print are most suitable print for short girls as it make you appear longer.Do not go for horizontal stripes.Vertical stripes makes an illusion of making someone look taller and slimmer.
Long straight Kurtis

Micrometeoroids that delivered stardust to asteroid 4 Vesta also carried water, researchers report.
The formation of our solar system was a messy affair. Most of the material that existed before its formation—material formed around other, long-dead stars—was vaporized, then recondensed into new materials.
But some grains of that material from before the sun’s birth still persist. These “stardust” grains arrived on Earth inside primitive meteorites.
IF ICY MICROMETEOROIDS DELIVERED WATER TO THE INNER SOLAR SYSTEM WHEN THE EARTH WAS STILL FORMING, THIS COULD BE ONE WAY THAT THE EARTH ENDED UP WITH ENOUGH WATER TO SUPPORT LIFE.”
Like our Earth,” says Nan Liu, an assistant research professor in physics and the Laboratory for Space Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, “Vesta has a core, a mantle, and crust,” features that formed as the materials melted, differentiated, and coalesced into a single planet-like object.
And like Earth, micrometeoroids also pummel Vesta. The brightest asteroid in the night sky, Vesta orbits the sun in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.
Liu, along with Lionel Vacher, a postdoctoral researcher, and Ryan Ogliore, assistant professor of physics, studied samples of the Kapoeta meteorite for this research. Kapoeta fell to Earth in 1942 in what is now South Sudan, landing on a road in front of a British convoy during World War II. NASA’s Dawn mission to asteroid Vesta established a link between Vesta and the howardites, eucrites, and diogenites, groups of meteorites found on Earth.
The research team focused on small, dark inclusions in Kapoeta that seemed out of place, like pieces of clay in lava rock.
“They look completely different from surrounding material,” Liu says. They turned out to be microscopic meteoroids, less than 100 microns across (smaller than the thickness of a human hair), that landed on Vesta’s surface.
Liu used a mass-spectrometer microscope, the NanoSIMS, to search the inclusions for presolar material. Because stardust has a very different isotopic composition from material that formed within the solar system, it jumped out at her under the microscope.
HABITABLE PLANETS AROUND OTHER STARS MAY HAVE ACQUIRED THEIR WATER THROUGH SIMILAR MEANS.”
The stardust in asteroid Vesta is a unique record of ancient, galactic material delivered long ago to a body far from Earth. The researchers postulate that the micrometeoroids arrived at Vesta after the violent impacts of the Late Heavy Bombardment, about 3.5 billion years ago.
Vacher and Ogliore measured the chemical compositions of the micrometeoroids to understand in what type of environment they formed. They recognized minerals and textures that were linked to interactions between rock and water from melted ice.
One of the big questions is: How did water get on Earth?
We need a mechanism to bring ice from the outer solar system, where the temperature is low,” Vacher says. “This research shows that you can transport small micrometeoroids that contain ice to dry bodies that formed without water.”
The ancient record of these micrometeoroids’ impacts on Earth has been erased by weather and plate tectonics. The micrometeoroid record from asteroid Vesta may help to explain how water was delivered to the young Earth.
“If icy micrometeoroids delivered water to the inner solar system when the Earth was still forming, this could be one way that the Earth ended up with enough water to support life,” Ogliore says. “Habitable planets around other stars may have acquired their water through similar means.”
More analyses are needed to determine the when and the where. “Our next measurements will constrain when this wet material was delivered to Vesta, and where it came from: an icy asteroid, a comet or some other exotic source,” Ogliore says
The origin of water on Earth is the subject of a body of research in the fields of planetary science, astronomy, and astrobiology. Earth is unique among the rocky planets in the Solar System in that it is the only planet known to have oceans of liquid water on its surface. Liquid water, which is necessary for life, continues to exist on the surface of Earth because the planet is at a distance far enough from the Sun that it does not lose its water to the runaway greenhouse effect, but not so far that low temperatures cause all water on the planet to freeze.
Earth could not have condensed from the protoplanetary disk with its current oceans of water because the early inner Solar System was far too hot for water to condense. Instead, water and other volatiles must have been delivered to Earth from the outer Solar System later in its history. Modern geochemical evidence suggests that water was delivered to Earth by impacts from icy planetesimals similar in composition to modern asteroids in the outer edges of the asteroid belt.
Depression and anxiety have become major mental health concerns of modern society. Shockingly, depression and anxiety are some of the least treated mental disorders. This is because people shy away from treatment stating various reasons. Victims usually say, that they need some time so that they can get out of the clutches by themself, they don’t wanna take the pills, they are embarrassed to speak about it with the doctors. Whatever the reasons may be, depression and anxiety can stop people from doing their day to day activities or even lead to making fatal decisions if untreated at most cases.
While treatment is the best option to get out of depression and prevent anxiety, reading some self-help books can be your trump card to beat depression and anxiety without any treatment. Even if it doesn’t help you get rid of them, it will be the best guide post treatment so that you don’t go into depression again.
One of the best books which I would suggest is “The subtle art of not giving a fuck” authored by Mark Manson. The book stands apart from other motivational books by emphasizing us to accept our failure and limits while guiding how to live with them. This book addresses the depression and anxiety problems. Also the circumstantial reasons for falling prey to those disorders are discussed. Most victims when they read this book would be surprised by getting to know the long story before they ended up with depression and anxiety. The author also talks about the modern societal problems that are misleading people and making them more prone to anxiety and depression.
This book is not limited to certain people as the author try to articulate the meaning of life while addressing the issues. If you are person who don’t prefer motivational books but want the message, then this book is for you.
