The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.
WOMEN, being a part of society are now given equal opportunities to excel, in every field. By fighting every hurdle, they have created their way and now can compete with men and can do whatever they want. Still the number of women in police force seems insufficient especially when we see the increasing involvement of women in terrorist activities.
The role of women in police is equally important so as to record and investigate the case of sexual assault, POSCO. Also searching and arrest of women is done by a lady police officer only. They are likely to use excessive force and are skilled at addressing violence against women and sex crimes. They can help improve police community relations by encouraging more women in pursuing careers in law enforcement. It’s important to make police force more welcoming for women. It is believed that women have worth to prove themselves more reliable and less corrupt than police men.
Thus, the government must increase the quota for women in police so that they can have a fair chance of serving their country. They will help in maintaining law and order less violently.
As quoted by Albert Einstein;
“The woman who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. The woman who walks alone is likely to find herself in places no one has ever been before”.
