Alexa development

The Alexa Skills Kit (ASK) could be a computer code development framework that allows you to make content, known as skills. Skills area unit like apps for Alexa. With AN interactive voice interface, Alexa provides users a hands-free thanks to act along with your talent.

How to Build Your initial Alexa Skill:
Step 1: style Your Voice expertise
After you have created your Alexa developer account, you’ll be tempted to begin tinkering with the Alexa Skills Kit. whereas it’s nice to possess your account up and running, the primary step to make a talent does not truly need any tools at all! that is as a result of you ought to style the expertise before you build it.

The a lot of thought and energy you set into developing your voice plan and planning the expertise, the a lot of palmy it’ll be. the look method will take many hours or many weeks—it depends on the dimensions and quality of your vision.
Step 2: Build Your Voice interface within the Alexa Developer Console
After you have designed the expertise, it is time to begin building. You’ll use the Alexa Developer Console to make the voice interface model, or VUI. this can be additionally called your side interface or what your users can act with after they use your talent.

Step 3: Build Your backside to Power Your talent
When you use a web site or AN application, there is a heap happening within the background that you simply cannot see. The front-end interface is cut loose, however connected to, a backside that the user solely experiences indirectly. Most of the utility of the positioning or app truly happens within the backside and is then shown or delivered within the side.

Step 4: check and Optimize
If you wish your talent to achieve success, you will need to check it. There area unit 2 basic classes of testing: useful and user expertise. Functionally, you will need to place your talent through its paces. you’ll be wanting to try and do this each in preparation for commercial enterprise and over time when your talent is free to the planet. For user expertise testing, you’ll be wanting to watch and collect feedback on ways in which to enhance the interaction between your talent and therefore the people that area unit victimisation it.

Step 5: Submit, Get Certified, and Publish
Like you, Amazon needs to make sure that the talents accessible to customers meet a particular quality bar. they ought to be participating and work the approach they are saying they’re going to. to make sure this can be the case, skills bear rigorous testing and certification before being revealed to the Alexa Skills Store

Node.js
An Alexa talent has 2 main components: a talent Service and a talent Interface. Your code is written in Node. js for the talent Service that lives within the Cloud (Amazon AWS, Lambda, AN HTTPS service). It receives directions to work out the actions to require in response to the user requests from the Alexa enabled device.

The developer console organizes talent building into the subsequent main tasks: Use Build to line up your talent, set up the interaction model, and specify the endpoints for your service. … Use check to check your talent with either text or voice. Use Distribution to preview however your talent can seem within the talent store.

Neptune-The Coldest Planet

Neptune is the eighth and farthest-known Solar planet from the Sun. In the Solar System, it is the fourth-largest planet by diameter, the third-most-massive planet, and the densest giant planet. It is 17 times the mass of Earth, slightly more massive than its near-twin Uranus. Neptune is denser and physically smaller than Uranus because its greater mass causes more gravitational compression of its atmosphere. It is named after the Roman god of the sea and has the astronomical symbol ♆, a stylised version of the god Neptune’s trident.

Some facts about Neptune

Diameter-  49,500km

Orbital period-  164.8yrs

Length of a Day-   16.1hrs

Axis tilt- 28 degrees

Distance from  the Sun- 30.1AU(4.5 billion km)

Moons- 14

Special features

Neptune is not visible to the unaided eye and is the only planet in the Solar System found by mathematical prediction rather than by empirical observation. Unexpected changes in the orbit of Uranus led Alexis Bouvard to deduce that its orbit was subject to gravitational perturbation by an unknown planet. After Bouvard’s death, the position of Neptune was predicted from his observations, independently, by John Couch Adams and Urbain Le Verrier.

Neptune is our solar system’s windiest world. Despite its great distance and low energy input from the Sun, Neptune’s winds can be three times stronger than Jupiter’s and nine times stronger than Earth’s. These winds whip clouds of frozen methane across the planet at speeds of more than 1,200 miles per hour (2,000 kilometers per hour). Even Earth’s most powerful winds hit only about 250 miles per hour (400 kilometers per hour).

In 1989 a large, oval-shaped storm in Neptune’s southern hemisphere dubbed the “Great Dark Spot” was large enough to contain the entire Earth. That storm has since disappeared, but new ones have appeared on different parts of the planet.

Natural satellites and Rings

Neptune has 14 known moons. Neptune’s largest moon Triton was discovered on October 10, 1846, by William Lassell, just 17 days after Johann Gottfried Galle discovered the planet. Since Neptune was named for the Roman god of the sea, its moons are named for various lesser sea gods and nymphs in Greek mythology.

Triton is the only large moon in the solar system that circles its planet in a direction opposite to the planet’s rotation (a retrograde orbit), which suggests that it may once have been an independent object that Neptune captured. Triton is extremely cold, with surface temperatures around minus 391 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 235 degrees Celsius). And yet, despite this deep freeze at Triton, Voyager 2 discovered geysers spewing icy material upward more than 5 miles (8 kilometers). Triton’s thin atmosphere, also discovered by Voyager, has been detected from Earth several times since, and is growing warmer, but scientists do not yet know why.

Neptune has at least five main rings and four prominent ring arcs that we know of so far. Starting near the planet and moving outward, the main rings are named Galle, Leverrier, Lassell, Arago and Adams. The rings are thought to be relatively young and short-lived. Neptune’s ring system also has peculiar clumps of dust called arcs. Four prominent arcs named Liberté (Liberty), Egalité (Equality), Fraternité (Fraternity) and Courage are in the outermost ring, Adams. The arcs are strange because the laws of motion would predict that they would spread out evenly rather than stay clumped together. Scientists now think the gravitational effects of Galatea, a moon just inward from the ring, stabilizes these arcs.

Structure and Atmosphere

Neptune is one of two ice giants in the outer solar system (the other is Uranus). Most (80 percent or more) of the planet’s mass is made up of a hot dense fluid of “icy” materials—water, methane and ammonia—above a small, rocky core. Scientists think there might be an ocean of super hot water under Neptune’s cold clouds. It does not boil away because incredibly high pressure keeps it locked inside.

Neptune’s atmosphere is made up mostly of hydrogen and helium with just a little bit of methane. Neptune’s neighbor Uranus is a blue-green color due to such atmospheric methane, but Neptune is a more vivid, brighter blue, so there must be an unknown component that causes the more intense color.

Exploration

Voyager 2 is the only spacecraft that has visited Neptune. The spacecraft’s closest approach to the planet occurred on 25 August 1989. Because this was the last major planet the spacecraft could visit, it was decided to make a close flyby of the moon Triton, regardless of the consequences to the trajectory, similarly to what was done for Voyager 1’s encounter with Saturn and its moon Titan. The images relayed back to Earth from Voyager 2 became the basis of a 1989 PBS all-night program, Neptune All Night.

Pluto-The King of Kuiper Belt

Pluto is the ninth-largest and tenth-most-massive known object directly orbiting the Sun. It is the largest known trans-Neptunian object by volume but is less massive than Eris. Pluto is a dwarf planet in the Kuiper belt, a ring of bodies beyond the orbit of Neptune. It was the first and the largest Kuiper belt object to be discovered. After Pluto was discovered in 1930, it was declared to be the ninth planet from the Sun. Beginning in the 1990s, its status as a planet was questioned following the discovery of several objects of similar size in the Kuiper belt and the scattered disc, including the dwarf planet Eris. This led the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in 2006 to formally define the term “planet”—excluding Pluto and reclassifying it as a dwarf planet.

Some facts about Pluto

Diameter-   2300km

Orbital period-  247.8 yrs

Length of a Day-    6.39 days

Axis tilt- 123 degrees

Distance from  the Sun- 39.5AU (5.9billion km)

Moons- 5

Special features

Like other Kuiper belt objects, Pluto is primarily made of ice and rock and is relatively small—one-sixth the mass of the Moon and one-third its volume. It has a moderately eccentric and inclined orbit during which it ranges from 30 to 49 astronomical units or AU (4.4–7.4 billion km) from the Sun. This means that Pluto periodically comes closer to the Sun than Neptune, but a stable orbital resonance with Neptune prevents them from colliding. Light from the Sun takes 5.5 hours to reach Pluto at its average distance (39.5 AU).

Natural satellites

Pluto has five known moons: Charon, Nix, Hydra, Kerberos and Styx. This moon system might have formed by a collision between Pluto and other similar-sized bodies early in the history of the solar system.

Charon, the biggest of Pluto’s moons, is about half the size of Pluto itself, making it the largest satellite relative to the planet it orbits in our solar system. It orbits Pluto at a distance of just 12,200 miles (19,640 kilometers). For comparison, our moon is 20 times farther away from Earth. Pluto and Charon are often referred to as a double planet. Charon’s orbit around Pluto takes 153 hours—the same time it takes Pluto to complete one rotation. This means Charon neither rises nor sets, but hovers over the same spot on Pluto’s surface. The same side of Charon always faces Pluto, a state called tidal locking.

Pluto’s other four moons are much smaller, less than 100 miles (160 kilometers) wide. They’re also irregularly shaped, not spherical like Charon. Unlike many other moons in the solar system, these moons are not tidally locked to Pluto. They all spin and don’t keep the same face towards Pluto.

See the source image

Structure and Atmosphere

Pluto is about two-thirds the diameter of Earth’s moon and probably has a rocky core surrounded by a mantle of water ice. Interesting ices like methane and nitrogen frost coat its surface. Due to its lower density, Pluto’s mass is about one-sixth that of Earth’s moon. Pluto’s surface is characterized by mountains, valleys, plains, and craters. The temperature on Pluto can be as cold as -375 to -400 degrees Fahrenheit (-226 to -240 degrees Celsius).

Pluto has a thin, tenuous atmosphere that expands when it comes closer to the sun and collapses as it moves farther away—similar to a comet. The main constituent is molecular nitrogen, though molecules of methane and carbon monoxide have also been detected.

When Pluto is close to the sun, its surface ices sublimate (changing directly from solid to gas) and rise to temporarily form a thin atmosphere. Pluto’s low gravity (about six percent of Earth’s) causes the atmosphere to be much more extended in altitude than our planet’s atmosphere. Pluto becomes much colder during the part of each year when it is traveling far away from the sun. During this time, the bulk of the planet’s atmosphere may freeze and fall as snow to the surface.

Exploration

The New Horizons spacecraft, which flew by Pluto in July 2015, is the first and so far only attempt to explore Pluto directly. Launched in 2006, it captured its first (distant) images of Pluto in late September 2006 during a test of the Long Range Reconnaissance Imager. The images, taken from a distance of approximately 4.2 billion kilometers, confirmed the spacecraft’s ability to track distant targets, critical for maneuvering toward Pluto and other Kuiper belt objects.

Swami Vivekananda: A Tribute to the Godly Figure.

Swami Vivekananda as we all know was born on January 12, 1863 in Calcutta (present day Kolkata). Swami Vivekananda was never religious in his early life but was always interested in spirituality and meditation from young age.

Swami Vivekananda got educated from Calcutta University and had keen interest in subjects like history, religion, social science, philosophy and like. Today, July 4 is his death anniversary and us know five important incidents from his life.

1) Swami Vivekananda at Parliament of World Religions, 1893.

Swami Vivekananda became extremely popular when he went to Chicago in 1893 for Parliament of World Religions where he represented India and Hinduism. He addressed Americans as “Sisters and Brothers of America” in his speech which led to widespread appreciation. In this event, he spoke about how the land of Vedas, Yoga and Saints has taught tolerance and universal acceptance to the world.

2) First meet of Swami Vivekananda and Ramkrishna Dev.

Swami Vivekananda met his mentor Ramkrishna Dev first in Dakshineswar Temple in Kolkata where Ramkrishna Dev used to reside but their relationship began when they met at the house of Surendra Nath Mitra. Ramkrishna Dev asked Swami Vivekananda to sing and impressed by his singing talent Ramkrishna Dev invited Swami Vivekananda to Dakshineswar.

3) Life in Dakshineswar, Kolkata.

Swami Vivekananda’s constant meetings with Ramkrishna Dev became important and life changing moments for him. Initially, Swami Vivekananda was amused and nervous when he first interacted with Ramkrishna Dev. After giving many tests, Swami Vivekananda finally accepted Ramkrishna Dev as his spiritual teacher in 1882. He remained there until Ramkrishna Dev’s death in 1886.

4) Enlightenment of Swami Vivekananda.

Swami Vivekananda once asked Ramkrishna Dev whether there’s any God or not (as Ramkrishna used to keep telling him about God ), to which Ramkrishna Dev replied “I am the proof that God exists”. After three days, Swami Vivekananda retuned to him and asked whether Ramkrishna Dev can show him God or not. Ramkrishna Dev asked a counter question that whether Swami Vivekananda has the courage to see God or not to which Swami Vivekananda replied “Yes”. After this, Ramkrishna Dev placed his foot on Swami Vivekananda’s chest and Swami Vivekananda lost his consciousness after that. He restored his consciousness after twelve hours but he was totally changed by then.

5) Establishment of Ramkrishna Mission and relationship with Sharada Devi.

Swami Vivekananda founded The Ramkrishna Mission on May 1, 1897 to honour and recognise the efforts and teachings of Ramkrishna Dev. Swami Vivekananda also had a very respectful and loving approach with Sarada Devi as he went to Chicago in 1893 only after taking her blessings.

At the end let’s apply Swami Vivekananda’s words in real life and as Indians, we should always move towards social equality and individual freedom which were his primary teachings.

RAJA RAM MOHAN ROY

Raja Ram Mohan Roy, a great reformer, thinker, so much ahead of his times, one of the makers of modern India, a versatile personality and the founder of the Brahma-Samaj was born on 22nd May, 1772 in Radhanagar, a village in West Bengal.

When this so remarkable man was born there was an all-round decline in all walks of life. The law and order was in shambles, moral values, social concerns and religious institutions were at their lowest and the economy in a chaos. It was a time when the whole country was drowned in many superstitions, dead and useless rituals and caste, creed, and religious narrowness reigned supreme. It was a time when women were looked upon as helpless creatures worthy only to be confined to homes and hearths.

Ram Mohan Roy came with his scientific temper, broad outlook, championship of freedom, liberal and fundamental reforms and harbinger of equality and humanism. He thought differently and much ahead of his times. His ideas, ideals and practices helped a lot in the reawakening and renaissance in the country.

His dynamism and personal charismatic charm made people in thousand to rally behind him for fundamental reforms in religion, society, politics, education and personal life. He virtually caused to dawn a new era of enlightenment and reawakening.

Ram Mohan Roy’s father, Rama Kant Roy was a wealthy landlord. He sent his son Ram Mohan to the village school for his elementary education where the young boy learnt Arabic and Persian besides his mother tongue Bengali.

SCHOOL LIFE IS THE BEST LIFE ……..

Thanks for reading……….

Move forward!

Hi there…there are many people who comes and go into your life and every man has a special role in one’s life. As we know that we are just the characters in the drama called life in which every person has their respective roles which they need to perform. But we too know this that in drama that every role has been to each character before the drama airs and script has been given to them.

Does that mean we should not try?

All tough we have roles prescribed for our drama called life which we are performing since the very moment we were born; thus, this means we should not work for our future, our goals, our desire, our dreams? Do we just sit on the sofa or on your bed and wait for everything to come to you without any efforts? No, we have to work hard to achieve it. Nothings comes to us without us doing any efforts.

Example: –

There is an upcoming drama, and you are given a role in it the shooting started and there you are working on it but not harder so after few days of shooting. With the unpleasant behavior of yours and by you not putting any efforts into acting the directors or staff members replaces you with someone who is much passionate that you and you were replaced by an amazing hard-working person.

So by this I hope you understand that you were not working hard that is why you were replaced and did not got the chance to achieve what you were destined to just because you did not worked for it. And a better hard-working person has been assigned to achieve that goal

Every person has the right to achieve that desired goal because once you try to achieve that goal whole universe will help you tend towards that goal.

“When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” – The Alchemist.

If you do have any desire to achieve something but you are not working hard to achieve that goal you wont be able to achieve that aim of yours because that has been taken up by someone else because there is too much competition in this world not because there are many ones who will snatch yours even if you are working hard but if you work hard you will get what you wanted no one else will snatch it from you.

It is like: – It is said that your palms lines will show your future but what if someone does not have hands does that mean they do not have any future. No, it is not they do have.

You are given this level of difficulties because you are capable to achieve by breaking those barriers in life and move forward in life happily.

If you can dream it, you can do it.” —Walt Disney

“Where there is a will, there is a way. If there is a chance in a million that you can do something, anything, to keep what you want from ending, do it. Pry the door open or, if need be, wedge your foot in that door and keep it open.” —Pauline Kael

Basic Maths: Averages

What do you understand by averages?

Average is sum of all observations upon number of observation. For eg. Kripa had monthly salary of 20000 and krishna of 40000. There average would be 40000+20000 i.e. sum 60000 upon 2. Answer is 30000. In this question there were 2 observation.

some basic formulas

Sum of first n natural no. = n(n+1)/2

Sum of first n odd no. = n square

Sum of first n even no.= n(n+1)

sum of square of first n natural no. = n(n+1)(2n+1)/6

sum of cube of first n natural no= (n(n+1/2))whole square

  • If n is odd: The average of n consecutive numbers, consecutive even numbers or consecutive odd numbers is always the middle number.
  • If n is even: The average of n consecutive numbers, consecutive even numbers or consecutive odd numbers is always the average of the middle two numbers.

When two groups of Parts or objects are combined together, then we can talk of the average of the entire group. However, if we know only the average of the two groups individually, we cannot find out the average of the combined group of objects.

Ex: The average of 6 consecutive even number is 21. Find the largest number? Largest no. = A + (n−1)
A = average
n = no. of terms
Largest no. = 21 + ( 6 -1) = 26

Ex: The average of 5 consecutive even number is 46. Find the smallest number?
Smallest no. = A – (n – 1)
A = average
n = no. of terms
Smallest no. = 46 -( 5 -1)
= 42

Ex: The average of 6 consecutive odd number is 22. Find the smallest number?Smallest no. = A – (n – 1)
A = average
n = no. of terms

Economic survey 2020-21

Bare Necessities:

Access to “the bare necessities” such as housing, water, sanitation, electricity and clean cooking fuel are a
sine qua non to live a decent life.
This chapter examines the progress made in providing access to “the bare necessities” by constructing a
Bare Necessities Index (BNI) at the rural, urban and all India level. BNI summarises 26 indicators on five
dimensions viz, Water, Sanitation, Housing, Micro-environment, Other facilities.

Key findings related to bare necessities: Access to the ‘bare necessities’ has improved across all States in the country in 2018 as compared to 2012. It is highest in States such as Kerala, Punjab, Haryana and Gujarat while lowest in Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Tripura Inter-State disparities declined across rural and urban areas.
Improved access to the ‘bare necessities’ has led to improvements in health indicators such as IMR and
also correlates with future improvements in education indicators. Schemes such as Jal Jeevan Mission, SBM-G, PMAY-G, etc. may design appropriate strategy to reduce the gaps.

  • GDP growth is a critical variable for decision-making by investors as well as policymakers. Therefore, the recent debate about whether India’s GDP is correctly estimated following the revision in estimation methodology in 2011 is extremely significant.
  • The survey highlighted the need to invest in ramping up India’s statistical infrastructure is undoubted. It also said that India has made impressive improvements in several social development indicators.

The Matrix : A Recap

In mathematics, a matrix is a rectangular array or table of numbers, sym…., oops that’s the wrong kind of matrix. I’m pretty sure that most fans of science fiction would know what this article is actually about, its about one of the best cyberpunk sci-fi stories to ever exist. This is about the hit franchise written and directed by the Wachowskis and starring the amazing Keanu Reeves in the lead role as the chosen one. It was originally a trilogy and was supposed to end at that, an announcement of a fourth movie has excited all the new and old fans alike. So I decided to brush up everyone’s memory of the masterpiece with a recap of the story and also talk about its influence on the minds of today.

First a recap of what the plot is like. The world starts out pretty normal as a world set in 1999 but nothing is actually as it seems. The world is actually a wasteland set in 2199 where machines have taken over and the human resistance is slowly but surely loosing. The condition is attributed to advancements in AI technology that occurred in the early 21st century, the machines slowly becoming self aware and self reliant. At some point a conflict arose between the machines and humans, the machines rebelled against their creators. A war broke out and mankind was close to their wits end, they tried to deny the machines solar power by filling the sky with thick clouds. This strategy worked against the humans as after an eventual victory the machines decide to use humans as their power source, relying on the bioelectric and thermal energies of captured humans. The humans were placed into pods that extracted said energies while making them believe they are living normal lives in 1999.

The plot revolves around Thomas Anderson who is a programmer for a reputed software company, he also leads his life as a hacker in secret as Neo. He is given a chance to break free from the simulation by Morpheus, he’s the captain of “Nebuchadnezzar” a ship in the resistances fleet. Neo decides to take the chance and wake up to aid the resistance, he is believed to be the chosen one who would bring an end to the ongoing struggle. The resistance has members capable of plugging themselves back in the matrix, they have some degree of control over the rules of the virtual world and are seen as people with supernatural abilities. They fight the war on 2 fronts first in the real world against the machines keeping Zion safe which is a place occupied by freed humans, the second front is in the simulation know as the Matrix where they face off against sentient programs created by the machines to keep the world in check. One of these programs known as Agent Smith goes rouge in order to enact revenge against Neo, he also becomes the primary antagonist who tries to gain dominion over both the real and the virtual world.

Now I’ll stop talking about the plot or I would end up telling the entire story. Lets talk about the influence this series had on the world, from theories to technology this series is credited for a lot of things. There are many people that believe are world to be a simulation and this theory has its roots deep in many cultures, the series can partially be credited for the increasing number of believers. Todays technology prides itself on being able to cut its users out of the reality with immersive AV tools like noise cancelling headsets and virtual reality headsets. Components are being developed to not only give the users haptic feedback but use haptics as input, this basically means being able to interact with a virtual environment physically. Matrix influenced a couple of outstanding games as well. Matrix has had a pretty hefty influence on creative minds altogether.

As a conclusion I would just like to say how excited I am for the upcoming movie, lets all gear up for what promises to be an phenomenal movie with Keanu Reeves returning for what seems to be the final time as the chosen one Neo.
