Udaipur also is known as the city of lakes is a city in the state of Rajasthan. it is the historical capital of the King of Mewar. The city was founded by Uday Singh || in 1558 when he shifted his capital from the city of Chittor to Udaipur. It remained as the capital of the city till 1818 when it became a British princely state and then after Mewar province became part of Rajasthan when India gained independence in 1947.
