When you’re looking for a new job, think of yourself as the solution to your target employer’s problem. Every hiring manager’s primary goal is to look good, to progress in their own role. You will perform best in job selection processes if you can help them achieve that goal. They look good when they hire people who help their colleagues solve whatever problem they’re facing, whether increasing sales, improving operations or developing go-to-market strategy for a new product.
Particularly if you’re transitioning from a different function or industry, you may not have solved these exact problems in the past. Even if you’re coming from the same function and industry, every company is different, so you’ll have to do some translation to help hiring managers understand how you can solve their companies’ problems.
Read every job description you see as a problem that the employer is looking to solve. If they’ve written it thoughtfully, the responsibilities will reveal the problem at hand. However, job descriptions are often not written with great care or updates. Since the rate of change is faster now than ever before, the problems any employer is facing are definitely changing. Which is why networking is now such a critical part of any job search. Real-time conversations with employees from the company and team that you’re hoping to join will reveal a lot more about the problems they’re facing than any publicly available information.

Once you’ve understood the problems that the employer is looking to solve, you can make yourself the obvious candidate by positioning yourself as the ideal solution to those problems. Here are the specific steps to get there.

Understand the problem.

Do your homework online and offline in informal coffee chats to understand the company and the team you’d like to join. What’s changing most rapidly in their industry? What’s happening at the firm’s leadership levels? What does the C-suite write and talk about? Listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions and take notes so you’re sure to retain all the information you’re gathering.Frame yourself as the solution.

If you’re listening carefully, you’ll learn their language in these conversations. Do they refer to managers as ‘bosses,’ ‘supervisors,’ ‘leaders,’ or otherwise? Pick up on specific vocabulary as well as tone. And then describe how you’d solve the problems you’re hearing, based on specific examples from your past experience, recounted in their language. A dose of humility is important here – be confident about your ability to help without trivializing the challenges they’re facing.
Describe how your skills could solve an employer’s problem, humbly and in their language.
Share your excitement about solving their problem.
The (right) reason for all the push for diversity in the workplace is for every problem, there is a perfectly-suited person to solve it out there somewhere. What is a daunting problem to many will be a rewarding challenge for the right person to take on. Once you’ve understood the target employer’s problem and explained how your skills and experience will solve it (in their language, remember), show and tell how excited you would be to be the one charged with solving this problem, for this company. Positioning yourself as the solution to employers’ problems forces you to take an empathetic view of their situation. This approach prevents the defensive or arrogant tone that interviews can elicit, under pressure to justify our past experience or training. When you take the time to understand the employer’s problem, you speak to your qualifications as the resource they are to solve that problem. Any successful consultant knows this is the surefire way to get hired: paint a picture of what a client’s situation would look like after their engagement.
By the way, positioning yourself as a solution in this way can also get you hired for roles that don’t exist yet. If you listen carefully enough, and study your target industry, you may identify problems – and solutions – before an employer.

Why you should stop junk food?

You must be having some kind of junk food today also right? So basically junk food can be simply described as the low nutrition and high calorie food. People have started consuming much of it in their life but if they get to know about the damage they are causing to their body iam sure they will regret eating it. All the pre-prepared and packaged food are no doubt tasty but they are high in sodium, saturated fat, trans fat, and cholesterol and isn’t something you should eat often.

Eating the junk gives us pleasure but on a regular basis leads to increased risk of obesity and chronic diseases like cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and some cancers. 

Junk food can be surely termed as a slow killer if you get to know how they are prepared in the restaurants and what are the ingredients used in its preparation you will never touch it again. But the taste is something that attracts us to it more and more.

People are taking baby steps to stop consuming it because slowly they have started realising it but the number of them are quite few. Really wanna know what happens when you stop eating junk food?

  1. You can easily go to a fit figure from that round one just by quitting the junk food like potato chips ,burgers and many more because they are rich in calories which leads to the bad fat in the body.
  2. Cravings are common but you can control them by replacing the unhealthy junk with that of nutritious fruits and vegetables to keep your tummy fill.
  3. Excessive oil and junk also cause damage to the skin ,leads to pimples which is a big problem nowadays as people have become very fascinated about their beauty. So if you need a glowing and good skin . Just stop!! Junk food.
  4. It also leads to avoid mood swings and provide a person with a better sleep and happiness in life by providing proper nutrition.

Shashi Tharoor and his Ideology on the British Rule in India

Shashi Tharoor is a writer and that too an extraordinary one. He is a legend and his pen has the power to change the world through his words. He writes others maybe imagine but can not put into appropriate words. He has many published works which are just perfect. One such work of his is the book named An Era of Darkness : The British Empire in India. This book was also published in United Kingdom under the name Inglorious Empire : What the British did to India. It was of course a best seller. This book basically depicts what is in Shashi Tharoor’s mind about the British rule in India. His ideology about the British Empire is written in this amazing work. Through this book he wants us to know about “the origins of the difficulties that confronted India.” , as stated by himself. In simple words, he wants us to understand about the evils of the British Rule in India and how it affected us. He strongly desires an apology from the British, same as whole of the country does. In his opinion, an apology would be most desirable, rather than compensation by cash or other valuables. This book also exposes the corruptions during that period along with questions their claim on superiority.

He deeply explains the way how it all came to the establishment of British Empire and also about why it all happened. He puts light on the manipulations of the British on the people of our country. He has clearly stated in his book that “this book is an argument and not a story.” He argues that the ruling record of the Indian governments is far better than the British. He accepts the fact that the British has in fact paid the reparations in form of aids over the years, but he is adamant that they were not due to guilt. According to Tharoor, India suffered many problems and conflicts due to racism, wars, disputes for kingdoms and other several problems, under the British Rule. He also states in his book that “this just basic knowledge about the history of our country but is still unknown even to the educated Indians.” He stresses on his point of the reparations, by saying that day by day it is getting late to amend things but it’s certainly not that late. The damage is done but can still be somewhat repaired to some extent.

Tharoor has remarked that every single thing the British did and the rules they imposed on the citizens were for their own benefit and not ours. He is right of course in all his arguments. The correct word for the Rule of British in India has to be ‘rotten’. The British Rule and their Empire was rotten in terms of all the policies they put up to follow, all the standards as compared to ours. He has done an impeccable job on the book and made us realize what we had forgotten with time.

Religious text are filled with narratives of tremendous sacrifice and resilience. The power of faith in a divine beings binds desperate elements of society to rise to great heights. The obedience of ram to give up his kingdom and go exile; the deeply insightful decision of the buddha to sacrifice his kinship to venture into the forest in search of answer to our existential reality; the crucifixion of Jesus Christ for the absolution of the sinning multitudes; the martyrdom of Imam Hussain to upholds the standards of truth when confronted by a heartless tyrannical ruler; the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur for protecting religious freedom are just a few examples. As soon as the cloud or the smoke cleared away will the people still be happy with the alien virus they struggled with.

To build a new world is no easy task. Since the beginning of the outbreak, healthcare professionals have truly been selfless warriors, giving everything to uphold their job responsibilities, even at the cost of cutting themselves off from their families and loved ones. Although most doctors have experienced the gratification of healing patients and saving their lives, many battles have also been lost along the way with several doctors going to the extent of even sacrificing their own lives in the line of duty. Doctors, nurses and many others in the healthcare sector have donned the role of a brave medical army fighting against coronavirus, standing strong with thermometers, stethoscopes and ventilators as their weapons. I salute their courage, valour and selflessness in serving society. No words are enough to express gratitude towards all the Corona Warriors, who risked their own lives to save the lives of others. It’s unfortunate and a great personal loss for me that so many of them lost their lives during this time.

India tour of Sri Lanka 2021

For the first time in history, Indian cricket fans will witness two different Indian cricket teams simultaneously. While the Test side, under Virat Kohli, is in England for a five-match series, a team of white-ball players, under Shikhar Dhawan, is in Sri Lanka for three ODIs and as many T20Is, starting from July 18. Nevertheless, the squad for the Sri Lanka series is missing many prominent names, and it would be interesting to see how the Men in Blue perform.

Speaking of Sri Lanka, they are fresh from a clean sweep in England in both the ODI and T20I series. However, they should leave no stone unturned to defeat this second string Indian team which is missing most of it’s big players. Sri Lanka hasn’t had any great success in the past few years and a victory against the Indian side will boost their confidence ahead of the T20I World Cup held later this year.

Veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan is leading this team and pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been named his deputy. Prithvi Shaw, Navdeep Saini and Sanju Samson are back in Indian colors. Youngsters Devdutt Padikkal, Chetan Sakariya and Ruturaj Gaikwad received their maiden call up due to their impactful performance in the domestic season and in the Indian Premier League. The experienced players include Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Manish Pandey and Hardik Pandya. Even this second string side looks strong, balanced and India start the series as favourites.

As for Sri Lanka, they need to put their best foot forward in order to challenge this new Indian team. Wicketkeeper-batsman Kusal Perera was the captain of this team, but is ruled out from the series as he sprained his shoulder while training. A replacement hasn’t been announced yet and this injury will be a major set back for the Sri Lankan team as it is missing several of it’s veterans like Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal haven’t played white ball cricket for their national team for a while.

Sri Lanka will be looking to its young players like Dhananjaya de Silva, Wanindu Hasaranga and Avishka Fernando as they have been impressive for their side lately. Despite all this, Sri Lanka will be starting the tour as underdogs and will be aiming to defeat this young Indian side in both ODIs and T20Is. The first ODI will be start on Sunday, July 18 2021,3:00 PM IST and the remaining ODIs will take place on 20, 23 July respectively.

Vaccination drive could save lives

The corona virus pandemic hits all of us so hard; it has impacted the lives and livelihoods of the people around the world. Second wave was a warning sign with thousands of death reported due to covid.

Although, during first wave India have managed well by following norms and guidelines issued by our government.  People followed social distancing, hand washing and masking along with other preventive measures. The whole country was under lockdown to break the chain of transmission but had a devastating impact on the country’s economy.

However, we should thankful for the advances made in the field of medical technology and research for the discovery of covid-19 vaccination. This will strengthen our fight against corona virus. Even after vaccination it is important to follow the covid appropriate behavior.

As extraordinary situations required extra ordinary measures, mandatory vaccination for all could help us to achieve herd immunity. This will help us to increase the capacity of healthcare system. 

Why the need and demand increases with time?

High Time – This is the high time to make vaccination mandatory to protect the lives of people, protecting the vulnerable and preventing the devastating effect of lock down.

Public Safety – Clinical trials and ongoing researches have shown vaccinated people are at lower risk of developing severe diseases than the unvaccinated ones. Mortality is rare for fully vaccinated ones, researchers and scientists have developed vaccines which have negligible side effects and higher efficacy rates.

Continuous Supply – As per the current situation it is important to maintain the pace of vaccination drives to break the chain of transmission and to achieve herd immunity. The central and state governments should work in collaboration to make the vaccination drive successful by ensuring proper supply.

Healthcare System – Healthcare workers or frontline warriors should be fully vaccinated along with their family members. So, that everyone could be safe because they are the ones who are taking care of the patients in this time of emergency. Their safety should come first to strengthen healthcare infrastructure.

The most important people in any person’s life is the one who trained you, guide you and mentor you. When a human came in to this life in this world his/her parents are the first most important people who love them and care for them. But a child cannot be live with their parents always. It is the rule of this era one should have to go outside and face the world.

Have you ever think why a child should go to school? Is his/her parents are not enough to conquer them? Absolutely not, The level to understanding that a child shared with their parents is very different which no one can attain. But at some point of time parents are quite emotional for their child, their intake are always focused on the fact that their child should resemble them. but this world, maturity, functioning of the creator doesn’t work like this. while on the other hand teacher is like a government even if we are mature enough to handle everything still there are certain decisions of which we are not at all familiar of. The mind of the teacher is like an Internet it contains lot of information and it can also give you lot of knowledge. let me share a story for that: “Once upon a time a 6 year old child got the information about the mobile phone and he really want to know more about it. As a student he is very bright and focused for his studies but also want to understand why really we need to have a mobile phone. so firstly he contacted his parents and asked them about the mobile phones. Since his parents is already using the one they show him and explain how it actually works. it really fascinate him and he requested his parents to buy them. On the other hand when he asked the same with his teacher she give him the same definition that his parents give but with a little twist, she strictly tell him to not buy for himself because of his age. It eventually angry the child and he decided he will anyhow get a mobile phone for himself and make his teacher proven wrong. And as a result he gets addicted to it, always playing games in the phone, his academic gets drastically decrease.”

K-POP band Treasure’s two members have tested positive for COVID-19. Kim Do Young and So Jung Hwan have tested psitive for COVID-19.

On July 13 YG Entertainment did announced that Do Young has tested positive for COVID-19 after he along with other members with some of the staff went through the the process.

YG Entertainment said,” we are informing you that Treasure member Doyoung has tested positive for COVID-19 test today. The other members and the staff tested negative. As there are no other confirmed cases, the Treasure members and the staff will be self-quarantine.”

On July 16 YG Entertainment released a statement saying that the youngest members of Treasure So Jung Hwan has tested positive for COVID-19.

In the statement YG Entertainment said,

“This is YG Entertainment.We inform you that TREASURE member So Jung Hwan tested positive for COVID-19 today (July 16). Besides Doyoung who tested positive on July 13, the other TREASURE members and staff have tested negative as a result of all additional tests until now.

So Jung Hwan tested negative initially, but he received a positive result from continuously checking his health with a rapid detection kit while under self-quarantine, and he was confirmed positive with the following PCR test.”

With the release of this statement fans flock to send positive messages to both the idols recovery. everyone is wishing them a fast recovery and we also wish for their fast recovery.

Why we still need to be careful.

The world has suffered from Corona virus from last year and it’s still recovering from it. Where many countries have came up with the vaccination and are trying their best to vaccinate the citizens many are still suffering from the virus and its different variants.

Among these only India also stands fighting the virus with all that the country can do. Where the government is trying to keep up with the vaccination process, at the same time at many places vaccines are still not available. On coming to registering for the vaccination, it becomes a hard task for common people to do that as the site comes as server down or there are no slots available for vaccination.

This all is happening when India still hasn’t came out of the impact of the second wave of corona that the country  faced. The  lockdown has just been lifted and there are claims about having a third wave around October as well.  While there are claims also made that it will be better control  this time but the pandemic will still be a public health threat for another year.

The vaccination may provide some measure of immunity but according to different sources India has vaccinated only 5% of its total population, But experts have claimed that the vaccination will pick up speed and we will be able to provide vaccination to everyone.

Most of the states have took up the restrictions and have started preparing for the third wave. But there has been alarm raising things going on as the huge crowd can be seen in different states on different occasion.  There has been pictures of markets, parks and hill stations where crowd can be seen and people are enjoying the places without following the appropriate guidelines.

At the peak of its second wave India reported over 400000 new cases daily along with shortage of vaccine, hospital beds, medicines, oxygen. Over 380000 people have been reported dead due to corona so far.

Due to consistence news of corona variants that have been reported all over the world are also a subject of concern. The delta variant of the corona virus which was first identified  in India, is fast becoming the dominant variant globally due to its increased transmissibility.

We all need to be aware of the situation and need to follow the guidelines for sure. people need to get vaccination and be aware of the fact that it does not harm to people and it for our own good.

According to the Indian Constitution every human deserves equal treatment irrespective of cast, creed, nationality and obviously gender. And off course, this has been violated a lot of times.

Discrimination such as racist attacks, caste riots and killing in the name of religion and gender serves as an example. When the belief for equality is dishonored in any way, it breeds a dysfunctional society.

In the case of feminism, male bashing has replaced the replaced the real meaning of feminism. Originated from the French language, feminism means support of equal rights of the sexes. You cannot call yourself feminist while creating a battle between the sexes neither you can support feminism while fighting for a man’s rights.

Our society has been a patriarchal society. Denying it does no good. So the philosophy of feminism is often one that takes a defensive role for women, since women have historically gone undefended

But equal rights doesn’t go with right with male thumping. Equality for all sounds too good to be honest, especially those so-called activists don’t work for such an ideal.

These fake feminist should know that no movement can do good by slandering another group of society. If that is the motive behind a revolution, that movement leads towards downfall.

These approaches which are made such group of women is completely disturbing and misleading. There is a website named “IHateMen.org” has more than 300,000 members, but it hasn’t brought down the rates of sexual harassment cases or saved women from any kind of violence.

There are other worse issues where vigorous women can work upon rather than objectifying every possible men as a sexual predator or evil. The misleading information where feminism defines battle between sexes should be ignored. It is a battle against injustice which is being faced by about half the population.

So I would say that if the world isn’t really physical, if it’s based on information, then a simpler explanation might in fact be that we are in a simulation that is generated based on computer science and information.
