Photos are memories that you can visit every time you look at them. It could be on your phone, in a frame, or on your camera itself. With the advance in technology, we are able to take photos in mobiles at par with traditional DSLRs. The technology doesn’t stop evolving and it is amazing to see the quality of photos improve over time. But you want to take photos better, better composition and with a better angle. So what kind of equipment can enhance your photography to the next level?

1: A Camera

Of course, you cannot buy camera gear if you don’t have a camera. You don’t need to invest heavily into the camera but don’t cheap out on it either. Instead, buy a decent camera that you can use without worrying about the price. A camera is great around the house with family or with friends when out on a trip. It captures various memories for you to relish after your trips. It is an investment for your hobby. Of course, don’t buy a camera that is too advanced because it will be expensive as well as very hard to handle.

2:  Tripod

Now a tripod is an investment. You need a sturdy tripod to shoot clear and sharp pictures. It also helps you with taking photos of places if you can’t hold it steady. If you want to improve your photography level, a tripod helps a lot. If you want to shoot a cinematic scene or take a long time lapse of sunrise/sunset/full moon nights or any shot that requires a long time for the camera to be held steady, a tripod enhances the stillness. There are many tripods in the market and Amazon also became one of the tripod sellers with their own brand.

3:  Memory Cards

Buying a memory card is essential for a DSLR camera. The camera uses the memory card to load photos onto. This memory card holds your memories until you pass it onto your computer. It is the delivery guy for your treasure. Due to its petite size, hold it carefully and store it with caution. You get memory card boxes for a few bucks that hold them carefully for you to transfer.

Now you know your way around your camera. You can switch from different modes and know when to change your ISO, shutter speed and also your aperture. You take beautiful shots and amazing photos but you want to improve your video shots and take them with more precision and cinematically. 

4: Lens

You keep taking photos but you don’t feel the spark or the connection you had with your shots, you have reached the end with your current lens. No matter how many shots you can take with your kit lens ( The lens that comes with the camera), there’s only so much you can do. It’s time to take a new lens to explore more with your camera. Your lens has more to do with the shots you want to take than with which lens you have to purchase. As a beginner, it’s always appreciated to ask your mentor or a friend who has been in photography a long time for advice on new lenses.

5: Basic Accessories

Now, you have all the equipment but if you don’t have the basic accessories, then how do you move the equipment from your home to the different places? Checklist these all items with the above ones so you don’t damage your equipment and carry them safely without any worries.

  • Camera Bag: You can purchase the camera bag while purchasing your camera and it’s pretty standard. You can carry your camera with your kit lens and it’s a nice place to hold your memory cards too.
  • Lens Cleaner: A lens cleaner is an absolute necessity if you are carrying around multiple lenses. It includes a lens cleaning liquid, a microfiber cloth and a small brush. Clean the dust with the brush, then apply the liquid and finish it up with the microfiber cloth
  • Sensor Cleaner: A sensor cleaner is also needed because you will be changing lenses on the camera when you are out and about. If the sensor has dust on, use the sensor cleaner to clean it and get it ready for the next shot.

Congratulations! You have the basic camera gear and the necessary skills to improve your Photography and Videography game! Remember, you don’t become the best instantly. Keep taking photos, keep taking shots, they may not always work but you will improve over time. Take your time, and don’t stop clicking!

Team India will travel to New Zealand after the T20 World Championship

The Indian cricket team will tour New Zealand for a series of three T20s and as many ODIs. This was announced by New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on Tuesday. The series will be organized this year from November 18th to 30th. After that, the New Zealand team will come to India in January next year for the limited overs series. NZC said: “India will travel to New Zealand after the World Cup is over to play three T20Is in Wellington, Tauranga and Napier and three ODIs in Auckland against the Blackcaps (the popular name for New Zealand’s men’s cricket team).” The Blackcaps will then touring the subcontinent for a tour of Pakistan and a short series in India, then returning home in early February to tour England in Tauranga (Day Night) and Wellington. Prepares for two tests. India will play the fifth Test against England from Friday, which is the remainder of the five-game Test series due to take place last year. After that there will be a series of three T20 and as many ODI matches between the two teams. The Indian team will then tour the West Indies in July-August for a series of three ODIs and five T20Is that will take place ahead of the T20 World Championship. New Zealand will also play a day-night Test against England amid a hectic international schedule while six teams are set to tour the country in the 2022-23 domestic season. In addition to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, England and Sri Lanka, the Bangladesh men’s and women’s teams will travel to New Zealand. The New Zealand women’s team will tour the West Indies after participating in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games and will host Bangladesh in a series of T20 and ODI matches on their return. After that, the team will play at the T20 World Cup in South Africa in January.

Ranbir-Alia are going to be parents

A new member is about to come to the house of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.Alia gave the good news of becoming a mother by posting two pictures on her Instagram page on Monday.In this picture, Alia is lying on the hospital bed and Ranbir is sitting nearby.Both are looking towards the sonography screen.A heart emoji has been created on the sonography image of the child, so that privacy is maintained.Along with this, Alia wrote, ‘Our baby … is coming soon.’ In the second picture, a lion lioness and her baby are sitting.With this picture, Alia is also indicating that her family is nearing completion.The entire Bhatt and Kapoor family are very happy to give this good news of Alia. While Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor thanked the paparazzi for congratulating her, many stars including sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Alia’s mother Soni Razdan have congratulated her. Karan Johar wrote on Instagram, ‘Many love to both (Ranbir-Alia), my baby is going to be a mother.I can’t express my feelings.I am very curious.’

Jugjug Jio earned 36.93 crores in the first weekend

The box office drought for Hindi films that has been going on for several months now seems to be abating.Former Kartik Aaryan lead Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 did well, now Varun Dhawan lead Jugjug Jio is also moving towards good earnings which was released last Friday.The movie Jugjug Jio earned around Rs 36.93 crore in the first weekend.The film, which was released to more than 3375 screens across the country, earned around Rs 9.28 crore on the first day.Then, after a good response from audiences and critics, the film earned Rs 12.55 and Rs 15.1 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively.In the first weekend he thus reached fourth place among the best-grossing Hindi films of the year so far.Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Samrat Prithviraj and Gangubai Kathiawadi came out on top in the first weekend of this year.At the same time earning Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also continues.Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which was released about five weeks ago, has so far earned around Rs 230.75 crore at the worldwide box office.So far this film has earned more than Rs 183.81 crore in India.In the coming days, the box office should be booming again with films like Laal Singh Chaddha, Raksha Bandhan, Shamshera and Ek Villain Returns

Xiaomi Looking To Supercharge Displays In Its Mid-Range Phones.

According to a new report, Xiaomi is planning to supercharge displays in its mid-range Android phones. The company is looking to bring LTPO displays that go down to 1Hz to its mid-range smartphones.

This will, of course, help with power consumption. Those displays can dynamically raise or lower their refresh rates, from 1Hz to the max they offer, usually 120Hz. Pretty much all LTPO panels we’ve seen go all the way up to 120Hz.

This information comes from Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster. Xiaomi is seemingly testing such a display in one of its mid-range smartphones. That display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, can go down to 1Hz, and it also offers DC dimming.

Xiaomi has been offering 120Hz displays in its mid-range smartphones for a while now. That includes Redmi and POCO phones as well. So, this move is not surprising, LTPO panels were expected to be offered in some mid-range devices sooner or later.

Xiaomi is a company that tends to offer really well-specced phones for reasonable price tags, so this is their forte. It remains to be seen what phone will break the ice, though.

Many people value great displays, high refresh rates, and certainly displays that require less power to run at the same time. Some OEMs are still way behind in that regard, but Xiaomi is not one of them.

We also don’t know when will the first mid-range Xiaomi smartphone with such a display see the light of day, nor how much will it cost. Such a phone is now in testing, so it may take Xiaomi a bit of time to deliver it.

Samsung Could Start Beta Testing Android 13 On The Galaxy S22 Soon.

A beta firmware update seems to show testing for Android 13 could begin soon for the Samsung Galaxy S22.The test could start in some parts of the world in July 2022.The beta will also include Samsung’s latest One UI 5.0 skin.

Android 13 is currently in its third beta version for Google’s Pixel phones. However, there’s word that a beta for the OS could soon be made available for the Samsung Galaxy S22 family of smartphones.

According to Tizenhelp, it has spotted beta firmware for the Galaxy S22 series in South Korea. The firmware beta, with the user number of S906NKSU2ZVF6 is for the Android 13 beta, which is also for the company’s own One UI 5.0 skin. The story says that the firmware’s appearance could mean that beta testing for the Galaxy S22 Android 13 update could begin in South Korea, and perhaps other parts of the world, as soon as July 2022.

While many of Android 13’s new additions and improvements have been revealed, there hasn’t been much in the way of news for Samsung’s One UI 5.0. Hopefully, we will get some concrete info about that phone skin’s new features soon as well.  While the Galaxy S22 phones will get first crack at the Android 13 beta, it’s expected that other high end Samsung phones will be allowed to enter the beta testing program in the weeks and months to come.

SpaceX Claims 5G Plan Could ‘render Starlink Unusable For Most Americans’

SpaceX has said its U.S.-based Starlink customers will see their broadband service badly disrupted if Dish Network is allowed to use the 12GHz band for its 5G cellular network.

The decision is in the hands of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as Dish Network and others such as New York-based RS Access lobby the agency to let them use the 12GHz band. But SpaceX isn’t happy.

“If Dish’s lobbying efforts succeed, our study shows that Starlink customers will experience harmful interference more than 77% of the time and total outage of service 74% of the time, rendering Starlink unusable for most Americans,” the company said in a message posted on its website on Tuesday, June 21.

The long-running dispute involves a number of companies that are trying to gain access to the 12GHz band that SpaceX already uses for its internet-from-space Starlink service.

Dish has previously published data suggesting that ground-based 5G networks could comfortably share the frequency with low-Earth orbit satellite networks operated by the likes of SpaceX for its Starlink service.

But this week, SpaceX said that technical studies “dating back as far as 2016” suggest that opening up the band to ground-based 5G networks could adversely impact its Starlink service, and it even accused Dish of attempting to “mislead the FCC with faulty analysis in hopes of obscuring the truth.”

The company led by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk also shared a 12-page technical analysis explaining how mobile services envisioned by Dish would “cause massive disruptions to users of next-generation satellite services,” such as Starlink.

It explained that a high-gain antenna, like the SpaceX user terminal, is “designed with sufficient sensitivity to receive very weak signals coming from a desired transmitter,” adding that “such antennas do not, however, ‘reject’ interference coming from other directions.” The result is that interference would “completely wipe out the desired signal.”

In widely reported comments, a Dish spokesperson said its “expert engineers are evaluating SpaceX’s claims.”

Dish announced last week that it has launched commercial 5G services in more than 100 U.S. Cities — covering around 20% of the nation’s population — by using frequencies in other spectrum bands. But whether it can access the 12GHz band as part of its 5G rollout remains to be seen.

SpaceX has launched more than 2,500 Starlink satellites into orbit for its broadband service, which currently serves more than 400,000 customers in 34 countries.

Interior Designing is the Art and Science of enhancing the interiors of the building to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space.

The person who plans, researches, coordinates and manages such enhancement projects, is an interior designer.

It is an art of creating aesthetically functional spaces pleasing with the client’s choice integration and understanding including the person’s creativity. It is basically underlying the layout of one’s personal choice and preferences of designing and decorating one’s home as per his/her needs and taste.

But for this, interior designers must be highly skilled and professional in their work and adhere to the norms and regulations of their professionalism.

It is essential for interior designers to acquire a deep experience with colors, understand their psychological effects and learn and apply the meaning of each color in different locations and situations in order to create suitable combinations for each place.

Cut throat competition and consumerism are the bones of the fast-paced modern life, born out of advancement in Science and Technology.

Everyone is busy and focused to secure a career and bright future for themselves. In this business, everyone seems to have forgotten the basic morality and ethics.

It must be kept in mind, if our means are wrong, our ends can never be right. Competition can never bring anyone in seeking. The most valuable treasure in the world is Peace, Happiness and Health. They can be in hand only through righteousness. Competition are antithesis of peace, health and happiness.

So. the most ideal approach to live a great life should be doing one’s best without compromising with the morals and ethics. One must never do mean things; think mean thoughts and speak words of any type.

In recent era, the most hyped and commonly used application which is being used by millions of people all around the world, is namely INSTAGRAM.

It is basically a social networking site service which allows users to upload media that can be edited with filters and organized by hashtags and geographical tagging.

This is done by the people for getting likes and fame on social media in lieu of becoming an influencer or famous among people by show casing their talents and to be more specific by out bursting their thousands and millions of followers.

For increasing name and fame on social media, people especially the youth literally buy likes on their pictures, videos by requesting their followers to re-post, re-share their posts on their stories. They literally allow the strangers to openly and freely invade in their privacy and life and allow them to judge on the basis of their posts and likes.

‘Likes on Instagram’ is rapidly becoming a trend to become popular like the famous celebrities.

People just for few likes on their posts either accept money, offer money or indulge in unfair means just to show how important, supreme or popular they are among millions of people.

While surfing the internet, we can see many sites and applications offering opportunities to people to grow and boost their followers and likes on any social media by paying just a handsome amount of money.’

This needs to stop, as in lieu of boosting followers and likes, many innocent people are trapped and later some are blackmailed too.

Likes from strangers or the people you don’t even know can be dangerous for you only. A few numbers of likes can’t tell how important, good-looking or what you are capable of.

It’s just you and you only.

Delhi's peak power demand reaches record high of 7,334 MW for June

The peak power demand in the national capital rose to 7,334 MW on Wednesday afternoon, the highest ever in June, amid increased use of cooling appliances to beat the intense heat, discom officials said.It is expected to hover around 8,200 MW in the coming days, they added.

“Before June 9, Delhi’s peak power demand had never crossed the 7,000 MW-mark during June.

However, on May 19 this year, it clocked 7,070 MW. It has already crossed 7,000 MW six times in June this year and once in May,” a power distribution company (discom) official said.

The power demand peaked to 7,334 MW at 3.35 pm on Wednesday.Delhi’s power demand crossed the 6,000 MW-mark on every single day this June, the official said.In 2021, it crossed the 6K mark on nine occasions through the month, five-times in 2020 and thrice in 2019.

NGO ‘SAAHDEV for the Development of Farmers: A Case from Assam

Across the world and also in our country there are many Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) working in various fields. Here, I am presenting the case of  “Society for Assam Agri-Horticultural Development” locally popular as  “SAAHDEV”  a Non-Governmental   Organisation (NGO) located in Guwahati which is working for the development of rural farming communities of Assam, especially for the resource crunch poor farmers. SAAHDEV   is comprised of senior citizens, who had long experience in the Agri-horticultural sector. It started its work in 2021 after registration under the Societies Registration Act of 1860.

Presently, SAAHDEV initiated a project for the production of quality winter paddy seeds viz.,  Ranjit Sub-1 variety, a submergence tolerance variety,  in a flood-prone area of Assam at   Durung village (Kamrup district) which is about 50 kilometers away from Guwahati. This variety was developed by the Assam Agricultural University and made available in 2018.

Incessant rain and a subsequent flood occur almost every year from June to September in this area (Durung village and its vicinity) and thus damage a vast area of paddy crops. Even if farmers try to do re-transplanting (if seedlings are available at that time), it will not help farmers to get their due return as the ideal time of transplantation is over. Therefore, the growing of submergence tolerance variety is one of the solutions at Durung village for which Ranjit Sub -1 variety is an alternative.

 SAAHDEV in collaboration with the Regional Agricultural Research Centre, Nagaon of Assam Agricultural University (AAU) organized a day-long programme on 12 Jun 2022 at Durung ( Khetri) distributing 20 Kilograms of breeder seeds to 20 farmers at the rate of one kilogram each. Also, imparted training to the farmers on the production of the breeder to foundation seeds, then to certified seeds of paddy.

It may be mentioned that Dr. Hemen Kalita, Agricultural Scientist, Regional Agricultural Research Centre, Nagaon, of Assam Agricultural University, attended as a resource person in the training and explained various aspects of seed production techniques to the farmers. Dr. Bhubaneshwar Burman, President of “SAAHDEV”, Bijoy Sarathi Sarma, Ramendra Kumar Bhuyan workers, and executive members of SAAHDEV attended the programme and discussed future steps on the project with the farmers and chalked out a detailed plan for production.  It is pertinent to mention that the yield of Ranjit Sub-1 is around 7,500 kilograms per hectare.

Further, it may be mentioned that the Government of India has already initiated measures to inspire farmers of flood-affected Kharif (sali) paddy to shift from regular sali paddy seeds to submergence tolerant varieties.  Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Agricultural Universities of India have developed other varieties viz., Swarna sub-1, Ranjit sub-1, etc.

It has to be admitted that the Government organizations cannot do it alone so, NGOs, Farmers’ Association, and others should come forward to take up seed production of such varieties in remote areas of the country, particularly in the flood-prone areas.

The Green Revolution in India

The great increase in production of food grains(like rice and wheat) due to the introduction of high yielding varieties,to the use of pesticides, and to bettter management techniques is known as the Green Revolution in India.
A part of a larger initiative by Norman Borlaug, green revolution in India was founded by M.S Swaminathan. The aim was to increase agricultural productivity in the developing world with the use of technology and agricultural research. The Green Revolution started in 1965 with the first introduction of High yielding variety(HYV)seeds in Indian agriculture. The end result of the Green Revolution was to make India self sufficient when it came to food grains. The Green Revolution in India was first introduced in Punjab in the late 1960s as a part of a development program issued by international donor agencies and the government of India. During the British Raj, India’s grain economy hinged on a unilateral relation of exploitation. The Green Revolution resulted in increased production of food grains (especially wheatand rice) and was in large part due to the introduction into developing countries of new, high-yielding varieties, beginning in the mid-20th century with Borlaug’s work. Borlaug developed a short-stemmed (“dwarf”) strain of wheat that increased crop yields. Previously, taller wheat varieties would break under the weight of the heads if production was increased by chemical fertilizers. Borlaug’s short-stemmed wheat could withstand the increased weight of fertilized heads.Wheat production in Mexico multiplied threefold owing to this and other varieties.Following Borlaug’s success in Mexico, the Indian and Pakistani goverments requested his assistance. Borlaug began his agricultural revolution in Asia. With India and Pakistan facing food shortages due to rapid population growth, the importation of Borlaug’s dwarf wheat in the mid-1960s was a key element if Green Revolution in India and helped the country to become agriculturally self sufficient.

What are the main features of Green Revolution?
1) Introduction of new and high yielding variety of seeds
2) Increased use of fertilizers, pesticides and weedicides to reduce agricultural losses.
3) Increased application of fertilisers to enhance agricultural productivity.
4) Use of latest agricultural machinery like tractors, threshers and harvesters etc.
5) Use of disease resistant varieties so that production will enhance.

The revolution associated with a sharp increase in milk production in the country is called the White Revolution in India also known as Operation Flood. White revolution period intended to make India a self-dependent nation in milk production.
Verghese Kurien ,the founder of Amul introduced White revolution in India. He is known as the father of white revolution in India.
Operation Flood started the White Revolution in India and made our country self-sufficient in milk and this was achieved entirely through the cooperative structure.One of the largest of its kind, the programme objective was to create a nationwide milk grid. It resulted in making India one of the largest producers of milk and milk products, and hence is also called the White Revolution of India. It also helped reduce malpractices by milk traders and merchants. The White Revolution in India was successful in transforming the country from a milk deficient nation to a world leader in milk production. It helped dairy-farming become India’s largest self-sustaining industry and also, India’s largest rural employment provider.

Advantages and disadvantages of white revolution
Advantage:
1) ended imports of milk solids in India.
2) India started exporting milk powder to many foreign nations.
3) dairy industries and infrastructures modernised and expanded.
4) more employment in the field of dairy farming.
5) dairy needs are met locally.
Disadvantage:
1) since livestock are prone to many diseases, milk obtained from them during such conditions leads to disease spreading.
2) adulteration of milk and dairy products.
