National Parent’s Day

Every Year on the fourth Sunday of July National parent’s Day is celebrated to recognize the role of parents in children’s life. In 2021 it falls on 25 July.

Parent’s are the gift of God on Earth. Nobody can take their place in the life. They are the precious gift of nature. They play an important role in the children’s life. National Parent’s Day is celebrated to promote the responsible parenting and to recognize positive parental role models. No doubt this day also observe the special bond of love and care between parents and their children.

History of World Baking Day

World Baking Day was created by the folks over at worldbakingday.com, who decided it was high time to spread the joy of baking all around the world, especially to those who perhaps don’t bake too often and are not particularly experienced at it. This day is meant to show people just how much fun it can be to make a cake or some cookies, and baking can be a great way to spend time with family and friends. Not to mention how much fun it is to eat what you’ve made once it’s done!

Baking has existed for over 14,000 years, proving that we simply can’t live without it! In fact, the first bakers in Jordan created flatbreads, which they then wrapped around meat – potentially the first-ever sandwich in existence. Roman times saw the birth of the artisan baker. Lovers of all things decadent, Romans prized the pastry chef, and those that brought new baked goods to the worlds were ever-popular at feasts and banquets.

In the United Kingdom, by the Middle Ages, baking went commercial, with many trading regulations and rules governing how to bake and sell bread. But everyone’s got to eat, so anyone with an oven was baking bread to feed their families. The delicious, mouth-watering cakes we eat today started to emerge for the upper echelons of society from the middle ages onwards.

Technology also helped upgrade the ovens to help bring better-baked goods to the masses, especially in the nineteenth century. Food was easier to preserve, too, so many people could order in meats and milk from across the country rather than relying on their backyard cows or chickens. Cans also cultivated a new innovation for baking, as meats and veg could be canned and exported from places like Australia.

New baking innovations arrived during WWI and WWII. In America during the wars, baking thrived as people moved to the US, and rationing saw the need for increasingly crafty creations. In America, different flavors from across the world arrived, from Italian cannolis to Mexican Tres Leches. When people couldn’t find fat or eggs during the wars, Applesauce Cake was baked into existence, which is still made today and used as an alternative to eggs and fat in vegan baking.

The increase in prosperity after the war allowed baking to flourish into the foods we love today, all culminating in this event. Enjoy the chance to bake, eat, and be merry with friends and family during this day.

World Earth Day

April 22 is commended as the World Earth Day to exhibit support for the well being of the Earth and raise open mindfulness about the issue. Since 1970, over 190 nations, praise it consistently. This year, consenting to of Paris arrangement adds more criticalness to the significance of World Earth Day. Around 120 nations, including the US and China, will sign this arrangement and vow to deliver laws that will diminish the emanation of ozone harming substances into the climate.

World Earth Day is praised worldwide to make mindfulness about the consistently expanding global warning, to advise openly about the cataclysmic influences it has on our day by day lives, and to teach everybody about techniques to forestall and fix the harm that has been done work date. Different consuming issues identified with environmental change, continually expanding ocean level, exhaustion of the ozone layer, and merciless deforestation are discussed in the open.

Each individual can contribute in their specific manner to make this day a triumph. On this day, a few volunteers go to a close-by land to plant trees for a greener planet while a few volunteers choose to clean neighbouring paths or waterways. Various specialists hold hands and attempt to make open mindfulness by making banners, through origami ventures or their works of art.

Long-distance races are sorted out, individuals take an interest in flame light walk, and the nearby bodies organize many Earth day programs. We should hold hands to praise the World Earth Day on April 22 in the manner we can. Indeed, even a little motion like turning off the lights of our home for one hour has a major effect. It is our home, our Earth, and we must fix the harm that we have caused.

World Emoji Day

World Emoji Day

World Emoji Day 2021: In the Internet Age now communication goes far beyond just by pressing a simple text message. Small iconic images that are mostly seen on social media or text messages are known as emojis which are more popular on the internet today.

World Emoji Day is celebrated to represent an idea or an emotion through electronic means.

Emoji is a small digital icon becoming popular these days and no doubt is an integral part of our conversation. When we feel lazy or when we are at a loss for words then we use emojis to express what we want to. For every feeling, there are emojis now. From the past years, emojis have evolved. It not only expresses simple human feelings but more than that.

World Emoji Day: History

The first emoji was created in 1999 by Shigetaka Kurita, an engineer working at a Japanese mobile operator, NTT Docomo. He creates 176 emojis for the release of the Japanese mobile phone operator NTT DoCoMo’s integrated mobile internet service “i-mode”, debuting in February 1999. For only 250 characters the service was allowed which gave Kurita the challenge to figure out a way to communicate in an expressive but short way.  In Yahoo Messenger, the oldest ‘mainstream’ emoji was used. In 2010, by Unicode emoji was finally standardized. That is brands like Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Twitter can start creating their own versions of Emoji that would appear even if a message was sent from another operating system. Let us tell you that Unicode 6.0 is the largest release of emoji yet, consisting of 994 characters like emotions, a pile of poo, families, hearts, animals, clothes, food, city images, clocks, and country flags.

In 2014, World Emoji Day was created by the founder of Emojipedia named Jeremy Burge. Let us tell you that Emojipedia is the custodian of this global holiday and is responsible for this very website. Each month Emojipedia serves over 25 million emoji lookups. 17 July date is chosen as World Emoji Day because 17 July is famously displayed on the Calendar Emoji. On 17 July, 2014, the first World Emoji Day was celebrated and on 11 July, 2014, the first tweet about #WorldEmojiDay was done. Prior to the existence of World Emoji Day, people would sometimes post the Calendar Emoji on July 17, too.

World Emoji Day: Purpose

The main purpose of the day is to promote the use of emojis and spread the emoji for the enjoyment that they bring to all of those around us. Emojis are for all of us.

Who gave approval to emojis?

A list of emojis was published and approved by the Unicode Consortium every year. When emojis are published, mobile operating systems like Android and iOS introduce them on their platforms. Let us tell you that the Unicode consortium has members who vote and submit their opinion on the emojis for making it official. Members that are included: Netflix, Apple, Facebook, Google, Tinder, etc.

In 2020, more than 110 new emojis will be added including Bubble Tea, Smiling Face With Tear, bottle-feeding parents, and the Transgender Flag. Unicode Consortium announced more than 110 emojis which form a part of Emoji 13.0. Apple at its yearly Worldwide Developers Conference keynote announces the upcoming release of iOS 14, their operating system for the iPhone. One of the new features is adding an emoji search to the keyboard.

15th JULY special

World Youth Skills Day and Social Media Giving Day

World Youth Skills Day is celebrated on 15 July every year to raise awareness about the importance of technical, vocational education & training and the development of other skills relevant to both local and global economies.

It is observed on 15 July. The day was inaugurated by Givver.com, a platform dedicated to fundraising through Twitter, in 2013.

Online Vs. Traditional Learning

Modern technology has infiltrated the education sector and as a result, many college students now prefer taking online classes, as opposed to attending the traditional regular classes. This is because online classes are convenient for such students, and more so for those who have to both work and attend classes.

As such, online learning gives them the flexibility that they needed. In addition, online learning also gives an opportunity to students and professionals who would not have otherwise gone back to school to get the necessary qualifications. However, students who have enrolled for online learning do not benefit from the one-on-one interaction with their peers and teachers. The essay shall endeavor to examine the differences between online classes and the traditional classes, with a preference for the later.

Differences between online classes and traditional classes

Online classes mainly take place through the internet. As such, online classes lack the regular student teacher interaction that is common with traditional learning. On the other hand, learning in traditional classes involves direct interaction between the student and the instructors .

This is beneficial to both the leaner and the instructors because both can be able to establish a bond. In addition, student attending the traditional classroom often have to adhere to strict guidelines that have been established by the learning institution. As such, students have to adhere to the established time schedules. On the other hand, students attending online classes can learn at their own time and pace.

One advantage of the traditional classes over online classes is that students who are not disciplined enough may not be able to sail through successfully because there is nobody to push them around. With traditional classes however, there are rules to put them in check. As such, students attending traditional classes are more likely to be committed to their education

Another advantage of the traditional classes is all the doubts that students might be having regarding a given course content can be cleared by the instructor on the spot, unlike online learning whereby such explanations might not be as coherent as the student would have wished.

With the traditional classes, students are rarely provided with the course materials by their instructors, and they are therefore expected to take their own notes. This is important because they are likely to preserve such note and use them later on in their studies. In contrast, online students are provided with course materials in the form of video or audio texts

They can also download such course materials online. Such learning materials can be deleted or lost easily compared with handwritten class notes, and this is a risk. Although the basic requirements for a student attending online classes are comparatively les in comparison to students attending traditional classes, nonetheless, it is important to note that online students are also expected to be internet savvy because all learning takes place online.

This would be a disadvantage for the regular student; only that internet savvy is not a requirement. Students undertaking online learning are likely to be withdrawn because they hardly interact one-on-one with their fellow online students or even their instructors. The only form of interaction is online. As such, it becomes hard for them to develop a special bond with other students and instructors. With traditional learning however, students have the freedom to interact freely and this helps to strengthen their existing bond.

Conclusion

Online learning is convenient and has less basic requirements compared with traditional learning. It also allows learners who would have ordinarily not gone back to school to access an education. However, online students do not benefit from a close interaction with their peers and instructors as do their regular counterparts. Also, regular students can engage their instructors more easily and relatively faster in case they want to have certain sections of the course explained, unlike online students.

National Simplicity Day 2021

National Simplicity Day 2021: It is observed on 12 July every year to honor Henry David Thoreau who advocates the life of simplicity. Let us have a look at the history and significance of the day.

The day honours and commemorates the life and work of American philosopher, writer, and proponent of simple living, Henry David Thoreau. He advocates living a simple life. He wrote several books around the subject. The most popular book of Henry David Thoreau is Walden which is a reflection upon simple living in natural surroundings.

Henry David Thoreau was born on 12 July, 1817. National Simplicity Day is observed in honour of the birthday of Henry David Thoreau,  He encourages us to step back and look at the ways to simplify life in such a busy lifestyle. The day provides us an opportunity to eliminate the unnecessary burdens that weigh us down.

“As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler”. – Henry David Thoreau

Biochip Technology

BIO stands for any biological entity like protein , DNA etc . CHIP stands for computer chip . It is a mate between biological entity and computer chip.

A biochip is a collection of miniaturized test sites (microarrays) arranged on a solid substrate that permits many test to be performed at the same time. A biochip like a computer chip can perform millions of mathematical operations and thousands of biological reactions in few seconds.

Biochip is inserted in to the body with a hypodermic syringe . The biochip uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)system that uses low frequency radio signals to communicate between a biochip and reader.

COMPONENTS OF BIOCHIP A biochip implant system consists of two components

1.The Transponder

2.The reader

TRANSPONDER : The transponder consists of 4 parts:

1.computer microchip

2.Antenna coil

3.Tuning capacitor

4.Glass capsule

COMPUTER MICROCHIP Stores a unique identification number(UID) The UID is Encoded via laser Contains electronic circuitry to transmits ID number to the reader

ANTENNA COIL It is a coil of copper wire around a iron core This tiny radio antenna receives and send signals from the reader

TUNING CAPACITOR Stores the electrical charge send by the reader to activate the transponder The capacitor is tuned to the same frequency of the radio wave send from the reader

GLASS CAPSULE Made up of soda lime glass. After assembly the capsule is air tightly scaled so no bodily fluids can enter in to the circuit inside

THE READER Consists of an exciter coil which creates an electromagnetic field to excite the implanted biochip. The reader carries a receiving coil that receives the transmitted code or ID number from the biochip. Reader decode the received code and display the result in the

WORKING OF BIOCHIP

Reader generate a low power electromagnetic field to activate the implanted biochip .The biochip sends a unique id to the reader .The reader convert the ID in to digital format, decodes and displays the ID number on the LCD display .This number is then compared with a Database listing of already registered details

Biochip perform early detection of diseases . The biochip surface contain hundreds of small dots or drops of arrays . Each of these dots contains proteins, antibody or nucleic acid that can attach to a particular DNA . The nucleic acid cause the dots to light up when scanned . The computer algorithm decode the dot pattern produced . These detect the differences in the antibodies of the affected person and detect diseases like cancer, respiratory syndromes etc

Biochip as a glucose detector Biochip underneath the skin sense the glucose level and sends the results back to the system out by Radio frequency communication.

Biochip as a oxygen sensor Biochip can be integrated with oxygen sensor. The s4ms chip is used for sensing oxygen or glucose in blood.

Biochip as an BP sensor Integration of pressure detecting circuits with biochip can make the chip continuously monitor the blood flow rate .

ADVANTAGES

To locate lost people and wandering Alzheimer’s Patients.
To identify person uniquely.
They can perform thousands of biological reactions operations in few seconds.
In monitoring health condition of individuals in which they are specifically employed.
They can perform thousands of biochemical reactions.
Perform early detection of diseases
Can store and update financial, demographic ,medicinal data and so on

DISADVANTAGES

They raise critical issues of personal privacy.
They mark the end of human freedom and dignity.
There is a danger of turning every man women, and Child into a controlled slave.
Through cybernetic biochip implants people will think and act as exactly pre- programmed.

CONCLUSION

The really fascinating idea is under fast track research “but we’re close.” The day in which we have chips embedded in our skins is not too far from now. “This is science fiction stuff.”

WORLD CHOCOLATE DAY

World Chocolate Day celebrated on 7th July

Every year on July 7th, World Chocolate Day allows chocolate lovers around the world to indulge in their favorite treat without any guilt. The day also celebrates all kinds of goodies made from chocolate, including chocolate milk, hot chocolate, chocolate candy bar, chocolate cake, brownies, or anything covered in chocolate.

Chocolate comes from the seed of the tropical Theobroma cacao tree. Cacao has been cultivated for at least three millennia and grows in Mexico, Central America, and Northern South America. The earliest known documentation of using cacao seeds is from around 1100 BC.

Since cacao tree seeds have a very intense, bitter taste, they must be fermented to develop the flavor. Once fermented, processors dry, clean and roast the beans. After roasting, the shell is removed to produce cacao nibs.

The cacao nibs are then ground into cocoa mass, which is pure chocolate in rough form. The cocoa mass is usually liquefied, then molded with or without other ingredients. At this point in the process, it is called chocolate liquor. The chocolate liquor gets processed into two components: cocoa solids and cocoa butter.

Most Common Types of Chocolate
  • Unsweetened baking chocolate – cocoa solids and cocoa butter in varying proportions.
  • Sweet chocolate – cocoa solids, cocoa butter or other fat and sugar.
  • Milk chocolate – sweet chocolate with milk powder or condensed milk.
  • White chocolate – cocoa butter, sugar, and milk but no cocoa solids.

Most people love chocolate. In fact, nine out of ten people love chocolate. Besides the fact it tastes so good, there are some health benefits of chocolate. Chocolate increases serotonin and dopamine levels, which helps to boost the mood. Dark chocolate can also be especially good for you. Dark chocolate is a powerful source of antioxidants, plus it helps to improve blood flow, lower blood pressure, and reduce the risk of heart disease.

The best way to celebrate world chocolate day is to, of course, enjoy this silky delicacy in your favorite form without any guilt! Now that corona has made it questionable to visit restaurants, you can take this opportunity to make yummy chocolate-based treats with your family. Attempt a recipe that you have never had the courage to try. Or make a box of assorted chocolate treat and gift your best friend or loved one. You can also enhance your knowledge of chocolates by knowing about different varieties, storage techniques and recipes!

National Workaholic Day

National Workaholics Day is on July 5th, and it might remind us to balance our work and home life better. Work isn’t everything – right? Do you come in early, skip your lunch and stay late or know someone who does? This day is dedicated to the people who fit that description

Today, July 5th, is National Workaholics Day… are you working?

By definition, a “workaholic” is a person addicted to their work. While dedication is certainly an admirable trait, a healthy work-life balance is also important.

For all the workaholics of the world, today is the day to step back and take it easy. If you fall into this category, take an afternoon nap, read a book, or spend a few hours watching videos on YouTube. You’ll have plenty of time to finish your work tomorrow!

For everyone else, today is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the workaholics in your life and to recognize all they have accomplished. To celebrate Workaholics Day, arrive at the office a little earlier than usual and tackle a project that you’ve been avoiding. Happy Workaholics Day!

Life Is Precious

Life can’t be described by only one or two words. It is a mixture of everything. The mixture of happiness and sadness, success and failure, comfort and pain, love and hatred, relief and sorrow and struggle and giving up. Life is not perfect, but it is beautiful.

Life is a journey. Everyone takes every step in a very unique way. The journey may take you down by great storms and bumpy roads but it does not matter, what matters the most is how many times you stand up and continue. Each moment in your journey of life, you are presented with an opportunity to react differently. You may even make the same choices over and over again because you do not know otherwise. You have the power to change things and not to walk around in a constant circle.

A new experience every time influences a person’s way of looking at life. Thus, there cannot be one single way in which one cannot look at life. Consequently there cannot be one single meaning and purpose that one might find to his or her life. Some of us, especially the ones who suffer in life, try to relate it to the lives of people around us who have suffered the same or more.

It shows how life carries on even after death, almost taking the course of the ancient. Every devotee believe that the soul leaves the body after death, and the body goes back to dust. Life is not about the body or the soul. Life is what is beyond the body and the soul. That is the reason why it continues even after death in various forms.
