Best skin care routine for oily skin

If you are one of the people who are blessed with oily skin then this article is right for you, dealing with oily skin is not easy. This is the skin type which is blessed to attract acne. The main reason for acne is the active oil producing glads, which keep on producing natural oil more than its needed by the skin, which results in clogging the pores.

So whats the solution, oily skin requires intensive care,a proper skin care routine for day as well night. Now the question arises what could be the ideal skin care routine, from where to start. Don”t worry this article is all about it.

CLEANSING

The very first step not just for oily skin but for all skin type is cleansing, choose a face wash which is not to harsh on face but at the same time it cleans away all the dirt on your face.Do this step as a part of your morning as well as night routine. If one is dealing with acne make sure you keep a separate towel for cleaning your face.(My recommendation of face wash for oily skin is Himalaya neem oil face wash, Biotique neem face wash).

TONER

Toners are essential for oily skin type to keep the pores closed and prevent them from producing more oil and further helping the skin from clogging. The ideal toner should be which do not contain any alcohol and is fast absorbing and suitable for oily skin.(My recommendation is plam green tea alcohol free toner).

MOISTURIZER

Most of the people believes that oily skin do not require moisturizers but that’s completely false, oily skin do require moisturizers but selecting one could be tricky too.Choose a moisturizer that is oil free, non greasy and non comodogenic which means it should not clog your pores.(My recommendation is Mamaearth oil free, apple cider moisturizer, Neutrogena oil free moisturizer).

SUNSCREENS

Watch out before you go out in sun,do apply sunscreen which at least have spf 50,moving out without sunscreen can damage your skin.Choose a sunscreen which do not feel greasy, is lightweight and easily absorbs in the skin.(try VLCC sunscreen)

CLAY MASKS

Clay masks are like boon for oily skin it absorbs excessive oil and cleans the pores, also helps in further prevention of excessive oils.Try to apply clay masks twice a week for better results.

Follow the above mention steps daily as a part of your skin routine and you will start seeing the difference right away,do not forget to follow these steps before applying your makeup too.you will start feeling the results right away. Have a happy and healthy skin.

28 Trillion of Ice Disappeared Since 1994

Retrieved thebigraise.fr

Scientists from Leeds and Edinburgh Universities and University of London have investigated that 28 trillion of ice has been lost since 1994 from the face of earth and they have pointed out that there may be a remarkable rise in the sea levels. They have been measuring the loss of ice coverage by studying glaciers, mountains and ice sheets since 1994 to 2017 to pinpoint the aftermath of global warming. The results may be numbing as the rise level may reach a metre by the end of this century.

Professor Andy Shepherd, director of Leeds University’s Center for Polar Observation and Modelling in a report by ‘The Guardian’ asserted that “to put that in context, every centimetre of sea-level rise means about a million people will be displaced from their low-lying homelands.”

The earth’s ability is lessening due to melting of ice sheets and thus resulting in lessening of solar radiation reflection into space. When on one hand, melting of ice- sheets is playing havoc on Arctic and Antarctic waters as cold water from glaciers is getting mixed, thus disturbing biological health. On the other hand, the fresh water source which is a lifeline for many communities in nearby areas is also getting jeopardized.

Post Covid Clinic

On Thursday a post Covid clinic started in Rajiv Gandhi hospital for people who have recovered from Corona. Few people who have recovered from coronavirus are facing problems such as body pain, exhaustion and difficulty in breathing. This post Covid clinic is for the help people facing such problems after recovery. The hospital’s medical superintendent B.L. Sherwal says that huge number of people recovering from Corona do not face much problem after recovery. But among all those people who are facing facing any problem almost 80% people have complained about exhaustion and body pain. Where is there are some people who have problem in breathing even after recovering. It is only few days since the clinic has been operating. As the number of patients will increase it will help in recognising what all problems one faces after recovering and how to cure them. According to doctor most of the people have recovered want to know which medicine to eat and what all medical tests to go for further. We can only help patient after proper medical check up. Different people are facing different problems. First do doctors collect information regarding the medical history of the patient after they were discharged from the hospital and then doing their ECG and PFT test. If needed an x-ray of lungs and other necessary check up is also done.

Indian Cinema: The Biggest Film Industry

In India Cinema has been a very important means of entertainment. Here, cinema has seen a century of growth, and it has gone very far in the heights of progress.

Originally, in India the cinema was a movie only and it was called because we could only see the stars acting, and there was no sound, no talking, no dialogue and no songs. The audiences could only see action. As time passed by, these movies got converted into talkies and, at that time dialogues got introduced in the pictures.

This made the movies more interesting and entertaining. Also, in the beginning, cinema was only in black and white, but with the passage of time colour entered cinema and black and white pictures got converted to coloured films. Thus, with dialogues and colour films entered a phase of great improvement. This was not the end of the improvements due in cinema there was a lot more to come.

In the early stages, each actor and actress had to sing his/ her songs. This curtailed the entry of stars in the movie career. However, our technical advancement soon saw to this problem and it was with the coming of background singing the restriction on entries to cinema got removed.

Soon people who could not sing also entered the career as, there was provision for another man/ woman to sing for him/her from the background. The problem of not taking in for acting people who could not sing was thus solved and Indian cinema saw another hurdle being crossed. Now with this impetus to those who could not sing, the entry of people in cinema was duly widened.

With the passage of time there has been a continuous technological advancement in Indian cinema. In the 20th Century, Indian cinema took huge strides towards growth and, today, at the turn of the 21st Century Indian cinema stands at par with Hollywood cinema.

May be we still have a lot to learn from Hollywood but this much is undoubted that, Indian cinema stands second only to Hollywood, specially in terms of its turn out of movies and movie stars. In the earlier times with the orthodox views about dancing, singing and acting, cinema was not considered to be a respectable career, not meant to be followed by the youth of good respectable families.

However, today the boys and girls who join cinema as a career are children from good wealthy and respectable families, and cultured families. This is because there has been a sea change in the thinking processes of the modern people. Also, this change has helped in the improvement of the turn out of cinema.

From the earliest times of the existence of cinema in India, it has always been the most popular and the cheapest mode of entertainment. This is why it got the impetus that brought it to this level of success, and its present size.

Even today, cinema in India is very popular but, with the advent of the TV and many other avenues for entertainment, it has become a little less important in the average person’s entertainment list. Besides, the VCP and VCR have further decreased the habit of going out to the cinema halls to see movies.

When a picture is available at home, why would anyone like to go to a cinema hall? Thus, though going to cinema halls has come down the popularity of the cinema is still on the upward swing. The cinema in India has, in spite of all hazards retained its unchallenged popularity. It still remains the most liked mode of entertainment both for the Indian gentry and the Indian masses.

It is a matter of pride that, Indian cinema has not only remained popular in India, but it has increased its boundaries elsewhere in world. It is very popular in most of the foreign countries, more so due to the Millions of Indians residing in foreign countries. The latest position just heard about Indian cinema is that Cannes is interested in showing Indian cinemas over there – a great achievement of the cinema industry indeed – Kudos to the Indian cinema.

RECOVERY RATE OF INDIA

COVID-19 had made a period in each one’s life. The increase in cases could be seen in each state, this not only lead to scatter of hopes but also an internal danger is present in everyone’s mind. A quantum jump of cases from some thousands to lakhs make us realize that situation is not easy to handle for the staff working day and night in betterment of patients. The coronavirus pandemic has killed over 8.08 lakhs people globally since it emerged in China late last year. Over 2.34 crore people have been infected with the novel coronavirus.

But this is not the only side of the picture, according to a report in The Indian Express, India’s COVID-19 recoveries have crossed 23 lakh and are more than three times the number of active cases of the infection in the country, while the case fatality rate, maintaining a steady downward trajectory, has further dropped to 1.85 per cent, the Union health ministry said on Monday. With 61,408 new infections reported in the country, the tally has now risen to 31.06 lakh. Of these, 23,38,036 patients have already recovered, while 7,10,771 are still active.

If we look closer in this regard, we will able to find that things are serious but there is nothing much to get afraid about. The strength and confidence seen in patients fighting against this virus is remarkable, said a doctor. They are the hardest hitten population as they even do not get a chance to stay at their home with their families. The recovery rate in terms of health is risen at a great level. People had become more health conscious and are spreading awareness about the same.

To accelerate the process of developing and manufacturing safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines in the country that can be easily accessible and affordable for the public, a ‘Mission COVID Suraksha’ has been proposed to be set up with a corpus of nearly Rs 3,000 crore, sources said, according to a PTI report. Piloted by the Department of Biotechnology, the proposed mission will focus on end-to-end vaccine development from clinical trial stage to regulatory facilitation to manufacturing, sources added. The aim of the mission is to accelerate the development of at least six vaccine candidates and ensure that they are licensed and introduced in market for emergency use at the earliest, they said. While there is no official word on the proposed mission as yet, multiple officials confirmed that a proposal has been made. A senior official said this is still in “a proposal stage”.

This shows that although we are moving slow to fight with this virus completely but the way is not impossible. Never lose hope just stay positive and keep moving forward!

Healthy lifestyle: Important to fight Covid-19 and other diseases

The whole world is suffering from COVID-19 from last year. The pandemic is about to complete 1 year this December. And all of this happened just because of a small virus which isn’t even visible with naked eyes. This explains, how a small virus can do such a big disaster in human body.

Every nation is trying its best to prepare the vaccine for this disease and the government is requesting the people to wear mask, wash their hands and eat healthy food to increase their immunity.

In short, it’s all about living a healthy lifestyle to resist the disease and this pandemic has shown how important it is to care about the body, be it physically, mentally or emotionally.

There’s a lot of things a person can do to live a healthy lifestyle:

  • Drink more water – Water is needed to carry out our body functions, remove waste and carry nutrients and oxygen around our body.
  • Get enough sleep – When you don’t rest well, you compensate by eating more. Also, lack of sleep causes premature aging, and you wouldn’t want that.
  • Exercise – Not just a few times a week, but every day. Movement is life. Exercise offers many benefits including increase of life span, lowering of risk of diseases, higher bone density and weight loss. Increase activity in your life.
  • Never skip breakfast – Skipping breakfast might seem like it can lead to weight loss, but it’s doing just the opposite. Enjoying a high-protein, high-fiber breakfast keeps you energized throughout the morning, while forgetting breakfast actually slows down ur metabolism.
  • Eat more fruits – Fruits are a plethora of vitamins and minerals.Taking in synthetic supplements are not the same as consuming the foods direct from nature.
  • Eat more vegetables – Like fruits, vegetables are important for the well being of our health.
  • Purge negative people from your life – Positive mental healthy is an important part of a healthy life. You don’t need toxic people in your life.
  • Say no to oily food – Reduce your intake of fast food, fries, doughnuts, chips, wedges, and foods that have been deep fried.
  • Don’t drink alcohol – Like caffeine, alcohol is a diuretic. Not only that, alcohol is repeatedly proven to have negative effects on our body and health– impacting the proper functioning of our brain, liver, lungs, and other major organs.
  • Eat small meals – Choose several small meals over a few big meals a day. This balances out your energy distribution throughout the day.

These are few things one can do improve his body physically, mentally and emotionally.

Kabbadi in India

Kabbadi is team sport which is played between two teams consisting seven players each. Kabbadi originated in India and hence it is a game that is predominantly played in India and some parts of Asia. It is a sport that does not involve any sports equipment like a bat or a ball but rather involves full physical contact between the players. Though it is the national sport of Bangladesh, kabbadi is a sport which is widely played in many parts of India as their primary sport after it gained it’s popularity in the 20th century. It is the state game of the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh.India takes the credit of popularising kabbadi to the world when it first organized the kabbadi competiton during the 1920’s and thereby adding it to the list of sports in the year 1938 which were a part of the Indian Olympic Games. After which the all India kabbai federation was set up in the year 1950 with kabbadi entering the Asian games in the year 1990 when kabbadi was demonstrated in the 1982 Asian games which was held in Delhi, India. The first Kabaddi World Cup was held in Mumbai in the year 2004 where national teams from Asia, Europe, and North America took part. India is the reigning champions of the Kabbadi world cup titles which was last held in the year 2016. India remains unbeaten throughout all the tournaments. The Indian kabbadi team has also won the Gold medal at the Asian Games in 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014. The first Women’s kabbadi world cup was held in the year 2012 and the women’s kabbadi team of India have also been the reigning champions of the kabbadi world cup since then. Anupam Goswami, the league commissioner of the Pro Kabbadi league said that “Given our cultural diversity and sensibility, there was clearly room for an indigenous sport. We wanted to grow one and make it not just comparable to others, but to turn it into a world class model sport” but now kabbadi is not just a sport which has garnered the attention of the world but has also become a big time sport like football and cricket with hundreds of sponsors and celebrity attention.

Micro-plastics- A Danger Looming Over Antarctic Ocean

Retrieved from http://www.utas.edu.au

According to a research paper published in Nature Communications, the concentration of micro-plastics in Antarctica is 10 times higher than assumed, which suggests that there is a presence of 12-21 million of it in the ocean. It is the first study which points towards the issue.

Any plastic which is less than 5 millimetres in diameter comes under micro-plastic and can enter the ocean through various methods in which the most famous are through cosmetic, clothing and industrial processes.

Only three common types of plastic wastes – polythene, polypropylene and polystyrene, used for packaging purposes were studied. As per the studies, across 65 years, 17 million of waste has polluted the ocean covering 10,000 kilometres and currently 80 % of the garbage constitutes micro-plastics.

The research was carried on by researchers of the National Oceanography Center from the UK who used spectroscopic imaging technique for pinpointing the plastic residuals and 200 metres deep water was filtered up for the process. They also raised concern over the issue by indicating towards it that every year 8 million tonnes of micro-plastic invade the ocean and if this keeps going on then the amount will become identical to the number of fishes in the ocean.

IS BOLLYWOOD INDUSTRY SAFE?

The happenings this year had made everyone realize that life is not as easy as it seems. Whether we talk about physical or mental health or the patience required to deal with certain stuff.

One such issue which had gained importance these days is the life of persons connected to the film industry. It had gained a name of just a glamour industry and nothing else. The death of Sushant Singh Rajput had left everyone speechless, people are questioning the cause, talking about curing depression, ill effects of having money and being popular, and much more. The CBI is coming with whole new shreds of evidence that had made the matter more grave. Now the suicide is being claimed into murder, the question which each parent and youngster planning to come into this industry is facing is that Is this industry safe for their child or for them? Is the motive of life is just earning money? Is there is something more than nepotism and jealously?  Is this industry a career-oriented one? Is it just the good side which we see and there are secrets hidden from everyone?

This lead to deeper thinking in terms of people choosing passion in form of their career, did this industry do justice to them? There are many more questions which we ask ourselves every day. The reason we do not know the real struggle of some celebs is because it is never made public.

The incident rose many insecurities among people related to this industry, it has somehow exposed the reality of their life which is dark. To be popular and get into the eyes of the public they are doing every effort without realizing the fact that they had gone far and is wrong. Nobody nowadays is clean, you never get to know when your success and achievements become a stone in other paths and this is proved by this industry. But not everyone supports the negative cause, people have the right to raise their voice which in this case is beautifully portraited.

Floods in India: Urban planning

Grey Infrastructure

It includes drains, pumps and outfalls. They frequently overflow by heavy rainfall or high levels of storm-water runoff from roads and streets. Indian cities like Bengaluru, Bihar, Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad are flooding frequently. There are multiple, recurring failures of grey infrastructure in India and other developing countries, for which alternatives are now being sought.

Blue-Green Infrastructure

Natural ecosystems such as lakes, parks, floodplains, forests are nature-based solutions called blue-green infrastructure and offer low-cost and flexible solutions for flood mitigation and management. They offer many other co-benefits.

Urban flood management in India continues to focus only on improving grey infrastructure, rescue and relief, instead of creating sustainable solutions. Cities continue to expand storm-water networks, clean channels and separate the sewage and storm-water drains. These are all important actions and urban areas bear high expenses to build grey infrastructure; but repeated floods mean that these actions are not sufficient.

Major reasons for frequent urban flooding across India

1. Construction on flood pathways.

During the monsoon, urban development and infrastructure such as roads, airports, bus depots, metro rail, etc. which are built on low-lying areas such as floodplains and lake beds, face higher risk of floods.

2. Making way for the floodwater.

Water penetrates into the ground, flows as surface runoff, evaporates and transpirate into the atmosphere. Urban regions with impenetrable surfaces, avoid water to go underground, decrease evaporation and transpiration. This highly increases surface runoff. Urban India is constantly building structures, streets, flyovers for urban citizens, frequently with inadequate storm-water infrastructure. Enormous volumes of storm-water deteriorate on these impenetrable surfaces, causing continued flooding.

3. Climate change and uncertainty.

The adverse climate change is creating uncertainty in many environmental phenomena. Rainfall variability is increasing because of climate change. Average monthly rainfall is now falling within days. Floods have high economic and social damage. This year (2020) Mumbai had 80% of its average rainfall in eight days.

Forecast, response and resilience.

  • Both grey and blue-green infrastructure expansion and upgrade is needed.
  • Official response to floods needs high-tech rainfall and flood warning systems like in Chennai and Mumbai.
  • Cities are building interactive maps of flood-prone zones (Bengaluru).
  • These measures enable evacuation and support effective deployment of rescue and relief measures, but do not prevent floods and mitigate against loss to life, property and infrastructure.
  • A reassessment of storm-water and cloudburst management is urgently needed in India. Depending solely on last century’s inflexible, expensive grey infrastructure does not manage current and future extreme natural events. Studies prove that the green infrastructure for storm-water management are cheaper and have more co-benefits than upgrading or expanding grey infrastructure.
  • Along with flood planning, we need major steps towards climate change and environmental protection. Much of the adverse natural and man-made events are happening because of collective ignorance towards climate and environment.

Green fuel

A lot of pollution is caused due to the use of petrol and diesel in vehicles. This is the reason why the government is trying to use its alternate options like bio and green fuel. A step towards this is that a trial has been made to make green fuel from bamboo. National Green Tribunal (NGT) has given a go ahead to a bamboo based ethanol project. Through the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, NGT has been given permission to make ethanol using bamboo in Golaghat, Assam. NGT chief A.K. Goyal has said that using bamboo fuel will help in reducing pollution. It will be an alternate option for petrol and diesel which will help in controlling the pollution level.

Doctors of the future

Powerful transformation serves as a tool for both patients and provider–and that trend will continue over the next decade. So if AI is unlikely to supplant trusted doctors and must accommodate patient data privacy, where will the big changes happen?

AI in Five Years: Smarter Machines and Virtual Assistant

Incremental jumps in technology will increase the ubiquity and strength of the examples above, but where will the real change happen?

Consider how much happens behind-the-scenes when working with a virtual assistant on your smartphone. From voice recognition that learns your voice to combing through live search results to leveraging past behaviours to sharing results across devices—this unfolds instantly and most of us never even consider the AI-powered how.

“Imagine you go to the hospital for a PET scan or MRI,” said Scott Tease, Lenovo’s executive director of High-Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence.

“Before the doctor or technician reviews the images, an algorithm will interpret the data and flag every irregularity.

This accelerates the caregivers’ efforts, draws their attention to issues, and helps ensure nothing is overlooked. In fact, these processes are under review by regulatory bodies right now.”

Enhanced resolution and analysis will allow remote scanning and diagnosis — even of small and subtle symptoms. Doctors may be more apt to embrace this use of AI, but what about the deluge of tracking data?

The prospect of health-tracking devices automatically pinging clinics with potential concerns raises more than a few eyebrows.

We may also see the growing demand for “convenience”—everything available at your fingertips through a website or app—reshape low-risk patient care. Here, AI may lead to chatbot-style physician care, where a series of targeted questions combined with biometrics will help people find the right care. Telemedicine, of course, made consulting a doctor from the comfort of home possible years ago, but an electronic physician could radically reduce cost. Even if a real person steps in to review and approve, an AI-led interview and data assessment would certainly increase efficiency.

“Convenience, risk assessment, and accuracy all play a role.

We’re not likely to see the chatbot approach take over for anything with dangerous symptoms.”

AI in 10 Years: Personalized, Globally Accessible Medicine

Assume that the changes outlined so far march forward, driven by advances in technology and wider adoption. Misconceptions about AI will also continue to erode, and successful deployment of AI-assisted technology. Who can guess how fleets of autonomous vehicles smoothly navigating city streets and highways will change perception?

AI also notoriously employs a so-called “black box”—the essential genius of deep-learning unfolds behind a closed curtain. We know the input and output, of course, but seldom the step-by-step process of the AI reaching its conclusion. It can be difficult to trust an answer when the underlying work is hidden (and may contain accidental bias).

Trust will likely grow over the next decade, but even without that embrace, things may wildly transform—as much as possible in the regulated world of medicine. Mapping a genome opens a window into inherited conditions, susceptibility to disease, potential response to treatment, and countless other insights. But the process takes time and the considerable might of high-performance computers.

Coronavirus: Pandals go online in Ganesh festival.

Due to the coronovirus and the the lockdown this year the most popular festival of Maharashtra has lost its charm. Pandals which were seen in every street were now went missing. The Ganesh sculpture industry go through a huge loss. The excitement and thrill of the festival had gone down. Many families had lost the chance to visit in special aartis and dancing in welcome song of lord Ganesha. The silence this time had made many vendors and shopkeepers suffer the hardest.

The GSB Ganpati Mandal at Kings Circle in Mumbai went live on various social media platforms to avoid crowding of devotees at the pandal. “Since the immersion in lakes will not be possible during Covid, the municipal corporation has sanctioned the construction of 250 to 300 artificial water tanks this year,” said Dahibawkar. Most of the tanks will be built at the level of individual neighbourhoods. “I have appealed to many civic corporators to get tanks built in their own areas, but in many places, individual pandals themselves have offered to make their own tanks.”

The enthusiasm of making modaks to distributing them in public is not seen this time. Many hoseholds had done the establishment and havan of lord Ganesha via online astrologers speech. People claims idol-makers have also been struggling to get space to set up their temporary workshops. Normally the city authorities give us space in a maidan or ground to set up our workshop, but this year they still haven’t allowed us such space.

Many bollywood celebs had not broken their ritual of celebrating the festival and this time too had done every arrangements to meet ‘BABPA’. May be this year was not as good as previous one but the devotion and love of people towards our God is unbeatable and appreciative. We all could just hope and pray for better days in near future.
