TIPS FOR PUBLIC SPEAKING

1. ACT CONFIDENTLY

Move towards the stage with energy and enthusiasm and deeply breath for few seconds. Look towards your audience straight in the eyes, and begin to talk as confidently as if every one of them owed you money. Imagine that they do. Acting confidently will help you gain some confidence and its better than talking nervously.

2. CHOOSE YOUR TOPIC WISELY

Your topic is the major factor of the success of your talk. Choose that topic which you feel most earnest and enthusiastic about, because if you feel confidently about your topic then only you can deliver a good speech. For example I like sports and book and I will talk about them.

3. INCLUDE YOUR AUDIENCE

Make the audience a part of your speech, because then only they will attentively listen to you  and will eagerly wait for what you have to say. And the best way to do that is by asking simple question that the audience can easily answer.

4. FIRST SPEAK TO YOUR FRIENDS

Before speaking directly to audience, rehearse that topic by actually speaking in front of someone like your friend or your family member. This will help you to become more confident about your topic and also it will help to learn what you have missed in your talk through your friend.

The most popular operating systems versions are Windows XP Home Edition , which is primarily meant for home users , and Windows XP Professional , which boasts additional features , such as support for Windows Server domains and dual processors , and is meant for professionals and other experts . Windows XP Media Centre Edition has additional multimedia features . Windows XP has an edge over the earlier versions of Microsoft Windows because of enhanced efficiency and better stability .

Windows XP helps you access and manage your files on the pc using a Graphical _User Interface GUI . All Programs and files stored on the PC are represented as pictures that are called icons . These icons are stored on the desktop .

PRODUCTIVITY TIPS FOR PROCRASTINATORS

1. MAKE AN ATTRACTIVE TO-DO LIST

We often make a to-do list but the point we mostly miss out on is making it attractive and that’s the reason why to-do list fail. But, there is one way to make the list attractive and that is by making it more specific and actionable.

For example, instead of writing doing the workout, be more specific and write wearing workout clothes, which one is easy and attractive? Hope you got my point.

2. BREAK IT INTO SMALL PIECES.

The most common reason we procrastinate is we get overwhelmed by the size of the task and the time it will require to finish that task.

Thus try to break down your task into very small pieces that would be super easy for performing.

3. USE THE 10 MINUTE RULE

If the work is overwhelming or you can’t give a start and procrastinate, tell yourself that you are going to do it only for 10 minutes. Then once you get started you will be much more likely to keep going. This is a highly effective hack that helps break the pattern of stalling or dreading work.

4.REWARD YOURSELF

Rewarding yourself will always work best for you, what you have to do is just set a reward for accomplishing a task and if a task is completed get that reward, and if not don’t reward yourself.

Rewarding yourself will make it attractive to do and at the same time, you will feel satisfied for getting your favorite thing as a reward.

My favourite subject

As a student, everyone excels in some subjects and not in the others. Of course, there are some students who do well in all of them, but that number is low. However, almost every student has a favourite subject. It does not matter if it’s related to academics or arts. Personally, my favorite subject is English. I have always scored well on the subject because I understand it well. It makes learning effortless and I always manage to get good marks. There are other subjects I like too but English definitely tops my list. I never get bored of it and am always ready to study it.

Reason For Favouritism

There are many reasons as to why I enjoy studying English. The major one is that it enhances my reading skills. Ever since my childhood, my mother has always read stories to me. So, I developed a habit of reading and listening to stories. As my reading skills get polished through English, it helps me in other subjects too. I grasp the concepts better through reading.

Furthermore, through English, I developed a knack for writing. I absolutely enjoy writing essays and articles. It is only through English, that I started writing my own work. This helps me in forming incredible answers for other subjects as well. It gives me the experience to use accurate words and sentences to convey my message better.

Most importantly, I love fictional stories in English. I love how it always has some lessons in them to learn. They also apply in real life and help me make wise decisions. The stories in English novels and plays always keeps me entertained. It also enhances my imagination powers.

A Scoring Subject

English is definitely a scoring subject which makes it even more special for me. I am an average student who does not take much interest in Science. I manage to get decent marks in the subjects, but in English, I score well. When we compare English to other subjects, we see it is most scoring.

English does not demand word to word answers. It gives the child a chance to play with words. It gives them the creative liberty to speak their minds out. For instance, in Maths, you cannot create your own formulas. You must copy the same exact one taught in the syllabus. But, in English, we can compose our own answers based on our understanding and intelligence.

In addition, English teachers are usually more approachable and understanding. In other subjects, the teachers always have to stick by the book and literally make students mug up the formulas and theories. The English teacher takes time to make them understand each phrase. They allow the students to interpret it as per their intellect. This empowers the child too so they can put their own thinking in it.

In short, I absolutely love English. It gives me the chance to excel without putting too much pressure on me. I get to play with words and form my own interpretations. This helps me get the creative freedom I do not get in other subjects.
