When it comes to Computer games, many used to scoff at them as a mere product for brief entertainment, but the increased proliferation of digital in every individual’s life means that Video games have a more significant role to play than ever before. The increased visual fidelity with better computing power has signified more immersion in the digital world. Online education has been given a push from governments around the globe. The majority of the higher institutions are teaching remotely with the help of different online tools. One of the major challenges that many educators face is the problem of engagement on par with the physical class.

Instead of just looking at online education as an alternative for the physical classes, we have to look at online education as a means of learning that can enhance the experience and engagement of the students than the physical classes as well. The technologies in 2021 clearly indicate that various tools and measures can be added into the experience of not just online learning and but also in the space of cultural heritage and digital tourism. Video games are an important tool that educators can leverage to fulfill these requirements.

Engagement and immersion can be the key factors that can drive the education system forward. There are many instances where students skip a certain subject even before attempting to learn it. This can be due to a poor and unfavorable experience with a certain instructor or wrong assumptions about the difficulty of that subject. Engaging interfaces in the form of creative games, virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality can help alleviate these types of issues.

Human-Computer-Interaction is an important field where the aspect of design and technology converge. This area not just deals with technological issues but also with the psychological and socio-cultural problems while designing/building a product or an interface. The interface is an important area that is often overlooked on many platforms. Many Educational platforms don’t offer the freedom that can help students, but they rather use the stingy design philosophy and force the users to a particular behavior while using it. Therefore the interface of games becomes equally important. Games can be used to create a more participatory environment for both the teachers and students alike while increasing the experimentation and systematic thinking in the class.

Video games are usually played to win or accomplish a level. Players are motivated by winning these challenges and this is the key to stay engaged. Games motivate through fun, which is part of the natural learning process in human development with instant and visual feedback.

We can conclude that the implementation of video games in the realm of education can make online learning more engaging and intuitive for learners. This is still a novel field of research and we have a long way to go but we cannot dismiss the numerous possibilities that games can provide us in this area.

1. Poverty and Homelessness:-

Poverty and homelessness are worldwide problems. According to Habitat for Humanity, one-quarter of the world’s population lives in conditions that harm their health and safety. Many do not have shelter, a basic human need for survival.
This social issue also goes beyond the 25% of the population directly affected. Because of the lack of shelter for this vulnerable population, there is greater stress on government and social programs, including schools and healthcare systems.

2. Climate Change:-

A warmer, changing climate is a threat to the entire world. Climate change affects the entire world population, and the Union of Concerned Scientists calls this social issue “one of the most devastating problems humanity has ever faced.”
The 800 million people already living in extreme poverty will be impacted most severely. Around the world, people are already noticing warmer winters, more severe storms and rainfall events, and more frequent wildfires. These issues already put stress on governments and systems in many countries.

3. Overpopulation:-

As the population of the world grows, resources become scarcer. The United Nations reports that the current population of 7.7 billion people is expected to grow in coming decades, with a projection of 8.5 billion people by 2030.
The fastest growing areas of the world, such as sub-Saharan Africa, often face already scarce resources like land for farming. As the population becomes more than the country can sustain, people will need to move elsewhere to avoid starvation and homelessness.

People move from one country to another, and in itself, this isn’t a social problem. However, immigration can place stress on government programs and social systems within a country, and it can be a divisive topic in a society. These immigration-related stresses affect many people.
For instance, the Pew Research Center reports that the United States has more immigrants than any other country; 13.6% of the U.S. population identifies as an immigrant. This is a divisive issue in the U.S. population, with some groups calling for stricter immigration laws. Although the majority of U.S. citizens welcome immigrants, a 2019 Gallup poll indicates 23% of people think immigration is the most important social issue facing the country.

5. Civil Rights and Racial Discrimination:-

Civil rights, or the rights of citizens in a country to have equal treatment socially and politically, is another one of the most significant social issues in America and around the world. More than 40 years after the Civil Rights Act passed, almost 60% of African Americans still live in segregated neighborhoods and 90% of African Americans report that racial discrimination is still a major problem.

6. Gender Inequality:-

A report from the Pew Research Center Fact Tank indicates that about 50% of Americans feel the country needs to do more to address the income gap between men and women. Women still lag behind men in wages and top leadership positions held, although they are now more likely to attain a college degree.
Worldwide, the situation is even more extreme. UNICEF reports that 12 million girls are married before they reach adulthood, and 98 million high school-aged girls do not attend school.

7. Health Care Availability:-

When people are sick or hurt, they need access to medical care to get better. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), almost one in 20 U.S. citizens do not obtain needed medical care because of the cost. Worldwide, 97 million people become impoverished by seeking needed medical care, as reported by the World Health Organization (WHO). Governments around the world are working on this problem, as are nonprofit organizations.

8. Childhood Obesity:-

However, the childhood obesity epidemic doesn’t affect all children equally. Children in families where the parents have more education and higher incomes are far less likely to be obese than those in families with less education and lower incomes.

9. Bullying:-

Obesity can also have an impact on another important social issue: bullying. The PACER National Bullying Prevention Center indicates that obesity and other appearance issues are among the top reasons children report being bullied.
Despite recent anti-bullying initiatives, more than 20% of American students report being bullied. A third of those being bullied report that it happens at least once or twice each month. Additionally, 24% of middle school students report they have been victims of cyberbullying, or bullying conducted online.

10. Poor Leadership:-

Many of the social problems in society are connected in subtle ways, but all social problems are connected to the leadership of countries, corporations, and other groups. An ongoing Gallup poll asks Americans to rate the most important problems and social issues facing the country. By far, the most significant issue was poor leadership; 28% of respondents list it as the number one problem.

11. Fixing Common Social Issues:-

Although many Americans feel their leaders are the biggest problem they face, governments, corporations, and communities are working to fix some of the top social issues. These are just a few of the actions they are taking:
  • Schools are implementing anti-bullying programs, which the PACER National Bullying Preventions Center says can decrease bullying by up to 25%.
  • Community efforts to help reduce childhood obesity include adding salad bars to school lunches, focusing on physical fitness, and adding obesity prevention initiatives to hospitals.
  • The U.S. enacted the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to begin addressing the challenges in health care availability, and it remains an important political issue.
  • The European Union is on track to meet its goals for reducing carbon emissions and helping mitigate the effects of climate change. Other countries are also working hard to make progress.

12. Raise Awareness Through Education:-

Discussing social issues can be contentious, but it’s also an important part of making progress on these problems facing society. Community and classroom activities involving social issues can help raise awareness for these topics. Writing about social issues can also help expand people’s understanding of these important challenges.

13. Covid-19 & Global Pandemic:-

Without a doubt, almost every sector of modern life has been affected by the global pandemic restrictions and the rules of social distancing. Even though several countries of the world seem to return to normal life, the matters of logistics and global trading are still vague. As an example of social topics dealing with this issue, you may consider writing about how the Covid-19 crisis has affected a particular company or the entire industry.

14. The Black Lives Matter Social Movement:-

It is hard to find anything that has marked the last two years in terms of social importance. The Black Lives Matter movement has captured the entire world because the issues of racial prejudice are relevant as ever. Today I am writing about a very interesting topic

We the humans are creatures of land, but there is totally a different world under the ocean.

Its as if the colours in the whole world can be seen under the ocean not only colours the different

aquatic beings are of different kind, they have their own designs patterns.

Its like a whole new ecosystem out there.

once you dive into this beautiful and colourful world under the ocean you can see a whole new unique world.

yes guys I am emphasising on the word “world” cause they have their own environment, their own living beings

I would like to tell you all about some of the intEresting facts and terminoligies i have heard about.

  • 1.CLOWN FISHES :- I am sure you all know about the famous fish nemo but do you guys know that its real name is clown fish. These kind of fishes are found in warm waters such as Red sea, pacific ocean. They are found in shallow waters.

  • 2. TREASURES: I don’t know if the pirates really hunt for treasures or not but deep under the ocean the treasures really exist. you may get the doubt about how the treasures are under the sea these are caused to the shipwrecks.

  • 3.Whale falls: THE WHALES live under the ocean but do you guys know there is term associated with the whales that is the whale falls
  • A whale fall occurs when the carcass of a whale has fallen onto the ocean floor at a depth greater than 1,000 m, in the bathyal or abyssal zones. On the sea floor, these carcasses can create complex localized ecosystems that supply sustenance to deep-sea organisms for decades.

  • 4. Blind fishes: The Mexican blind cavefish (Astyanax mexicanus), which no longer has eyes. Now scientists may have solved the riddle of why the fish lost their eyes in the dark.They live deep in the ocean.

  • 5.Volcanic eruptions: we all know about the volcanoes and volcanic eruptions on land , but do you know most of the volcanic eruptions take place under the sea .
  • The active volcanoes are less than dormant volcanoes under the ocean but still they ratio of volcanic eruptions in the ocean is more compared to that on land.

Beyond the prejudice towards American Hip Hop

From Dr. Dre to Drake, and many more, the Rap genre is something for parents, a spot that needs to be shaded from — to be ceased to exist, this predominantly stems from institutionalised racism. The notion that is perceived as a sensible reaction is how the drugs that these people have consumed — irrespective of the truth— is something that can’t be shaken off of anyone’s mind. No one bothered to listen or hear these pieces out, like any form of musical expression, be it classical music or pop culture, music is always a tool to express, and let your emotions dance for itself, to the musician and the audience alike. 

But culturally, classical music just by its nomenclature and more, is given hight importance, and priority, making it a shining star; this definitely requires us to actively engage in discussions on your views of high and low culture, which I would be excited to hear, because the prevailing idea to control societies with these dichotomy needs to end, preferably now. 

Rap or other form of expressions need to be universally accessibly without it’s prejudiced taboo, the artists needs to be who they are, to hold their identity as thy want and we all need to understand their angst and respect it, and not just being apathetic about it, but validating them and regarding them with the same Honore given to Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, et cetra. 

Let’s hear what A$AP Rocky, Eminem, Lil NasX, and other have to represent, because since beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, let’s appreciate the beauty that these artists have birthed, the passion, the emotions that they have put behind it.

 And trying to not drag the same argument again and again, isn’t it prerogative for all of us to know these artists as well to better understand them, to acknowledge their struggle, to celebrate their success as well, because they deserve it; this doesn’t mean we could ignore the works of artists like David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, or even bands, from Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, Nirvana and then some, these people are deserving of much more, but 2Pac, Fifty Cent, are also names that we can’t ignore. 

We can’t ignore histories or pick-and-choose which history we need to show our support to, we need to bring all the collective history together, uplift them for everyone to see and carry the tradition without bigoted views about topics pertaining to the genre of rap.

Twitter slams account of IT Minister Sir ‘Ravi Shankar Prasad’.

Recently there are multiple incidents happened in India that created conflict between Indian government and twitter itself.

News: – Twitter suspends account of Indian IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad for an Hour and gives her warning to not use copyright content.

History

It was all started with the suspension of account of lieutenant governor of jammu and kashmir when Twitter choose to show his first move by using the phrase we support free speech. And the overlooking of this instance make twitter think he has absolute control on his platform.

Incidents

  1. Banning account of Lt. of Jammu & Kashmir.
  2. Removal of Blue tick from the account of Vice-President of India.
  3. Copyright warning to Home Minister Amit Shah on his own Profile picture.
  4. And the latest suspension of account of Indian IT Minister.

Why Twitter is taking action only against Indian Government

Two theories have came on surface.

  1. Ceo of Jack Dorsey’s Ideology is affecting twitter’s current decisions. As Jack said once in his interviews that his ideology is left lening, further continues that his ideology won’t affect Twitter but as we can see that it is affecting in the chain of command.
  2. Taking a bulge against Indian government as showing their dissent against new IT rules.

Countries that slammed ‘Twitter’ in past.

There are multiple incidents happened in past but the most famous one’s are ban on twitter by Nigeria when twitter deletes a tweet of the President of Niger. Although they never said that that’s the official reason behind it. But it’s a open secret to everyone.

And the second famous incident of Permanent Ban of Twitter by China in 2009. Yes you heard it right twitter was not always ban in China, China claims that twitter was misused to create propoganda towards Uyighur Muslims.

What India can Do?

India is a democratic country we can not ban Twitter as a whole and it won’t be beneficial for India also as India is growing digital market and when Millions of Indian support a narrative it became reality.

Why India is not taking actions against twitter even Indian Liberals are asking it.

India is a member of Quad and already India is facing criticism with mishandling of Second Wave of covid-19. Indian government won’t want to be a subject of topic again for now may be.

So for now India can do these things :-

  1. Heavy fine on Twitter for such misbehavior conduct, like EU did in Past.
  2. Ban for a temporary time frame as we are reviewing the Twitter policies that is inclined towards ideology like Turkey.
