Successful story behind oyo rooms

Ritesh agarwal was the founder and ceo oyo rooms. And he is from odisha. He got the idea when he was 17 yrs old. He is dropout from college. And started business. At first he was hesitant and later he took tough choices and implemented. And it is started on May in year 2013.now it is leading chains of hotels, homes and spaces

Ritesh Agarwal has been travelled across the country before launching OYO and during such travels he discovered the problem with budget hotels. Thus at the mere age of 17, he first launched it as oravle travels in 2011, which he modelled after Airbnb. However, it later branched out to become OYO rooms in 2013. He had discovered that the problem with budget hotels was bigger than just availability, so, to counter other issues, he launched OYO.

Oyo means on your own

In 2014; the company raised Rs. 4 Cr from Lightspeed Venture Partners (LSVP) and DSG Consumer Partners, at a pre-money valuation (valuation of a company prior to investment or financing) of Rs 14 Cr.

What motivated Ritesh even more was that, by now the company was clocking gross bookings of more than Rs.1 Cr. per month.

World Population Day 2021

11th July is celebrated as THE WORLD POPULATION DAY every year. This day is devoted to focusing on the relevance of population issues. World Population Day was rooted by the Governing Council of the United National Development Programme in 1989, as an outgrowth of the interest generated by the Day of Five Billion, which was observed on 11 July 1987.

The theme for 2021 is rights and choices.

1) Population in India

image source: Google | image by: Statista

2) Understanding our population

The total number of children a woman bears is inversely proportional to the following:

  • Literacy
  • Per capita income
  • Development

It’s been proved that as the above-mentioned factors rise, the total fertility decreases.

The total number of children a woman bears is directly proportional to the following:

  • Infant mortality rate
  • Poverty
  • Illiteracy
  • Unemployment

It’s been proved that as the above-mentioned factors rise, the total fertility rises too.

Our population is growing but at a decreasing rate. It is not an explosion. The total fertility rate, i.e. the average number of children a woman beers, has significantly decreased from 5 to 2.2-2.3 in the last 50 years. The replacement fertility rate, i.e. the number of children a woman needs to have so that the population replaces itself from one generation to another generation is 2.1. Approximately 20 states and UTs in India are very close to it.

3)Why is overpopulation a concern

  • Resources

Well, the rate of growth in the number of human beings is greater than the growth of resources. This means the more the population grows, the difficult it gets to sustain everyone.

  • Environmental destruction

As the number of people grows, more resources and places to live are required to destroy natural habitat. This leads to the loss of animal habitat and they’re seen wandering around in human civilization.

  • Unemployment

An increase in the number of people, increases the demand for jobs to sustain oneself and we as a nation have failed to provide jobs.

  • Poverty

A direct relation between poverty and population has been proved by researchers. This means as poverty rises, so does population and vice versa. Along with these, overpopulation brings:

  • Social religious conflicts
  • Climate change
  • Outbreak of diseases
  • Social unrest
  • Political instability

4) Benefits of having a bigger population

  • A high population is an asset, which can be utilized gracefully. We can have an ample number of professionals in all the fields and can even outsource our services. There is more production of goods.
  • 4-2-1 problem, i.e 1 child looking up to 4 grandparents and 2 parents, is avoided.
  • We’ll have a balance between the ones earning and the ones depending on pensions because if the number of children born is dropped suddenly, the ones depending on pensions will far outgrow the ones earning and that would be very hard to sustain.

5) How not to tackle population

  • Population Regulation Bill or a 2 child policy

Implementing such a policy is punishing someone for having kids in the form of banning them from elected offices, eliminating them from government schemes and subsidies, government jobs, and even snatching their food by excluding them from PDS. What do you think are the probable effects of these?

A population reduction? NAH. This coercion will lead to even more poverty in the nation which is in the first place one of the root causes of a high population. Furthermore, this may lead to a poor sex ratio as in the case of China which saw sex-selective abortions, foeticides, and even bride price practice which is in simple words buying a bride and might even lead to people bringing girls from poor nations to marry them.

  • Forced sterilization

Sanjay Gandhi and Indira Gandhi led one of the Forced sterilization drives, which is never the answer. Because it violates the choice of the couple, and the right to reproduce which is a basic human right. Even if it doesn’t violate a right, it is unethical to the very roots. Approximately 10 million men were sterilized during that drive and it had no substantial effect on the population growth but had various side effects like deaths and the spread of diseases.

  • Blaming Muslims

How many times have you heard the statement that Muslims give birth to more children so that one day they can outnumber the Hindu population, or even politicians asking their Hindu following to have more and more children to just come in way of Muslims outnumbering them? Well India’s last census, conducted in 2011, revealed that Hindus make up 79.8% of the population, while Muslims make up 14.2%. and Muslims have more children because of their developmental and literacy levels. Because in states with a higher development, the total fertility rate of Muslims is less too, and the fall in the total fertility rate of Muslims is less than the fall in the total fertility rate of Hindus. All politicians are doing is find a shortcut to avoid tackling the matter with sincerity and propose these stupid ideas.

Forced population control measures are a problem, the solution lies in the development.

6) How to tackle population?

  • Understanding and choosing better leaders for ourselves, voting for the ones who focus on development rather than playing a blame game.
  • Mass education about family planning and contraceptive techniques.
  • Creating job opportunities, improving healthcare facilities and focusing on education would tackle a lot of other significant issues along with overpopulation.
  • Improving access to contraceptives
  • Increasing investment in family planning projects

7) Takeaway

The need of the hour is to plan instead of punishing, utilizing the asset it’s blessed with instead of declaring it a disaster and blaming everything on it and stabilization of population instead of trying to control it. And lastly, having a government that owns up to its responsibilities.

The memorial lies on the Maidan and is one of the famous monuments of Kolkata .The Victoria Memorial’s architect was William Emerson (1843–1924).The design is in the Indo-Saracenic revivalist style which uses a mixture of British and Mughal elements with Venetian, Egyptian, Deccani architectural influences .The building is 338 by 228 feet (103 by 69 m) and rises to a height of 184 feet (56 m). It is constructed of white Makrana marble.

he gardens of the Victoria Memorial were designed by Lord Redesdale and David Prain. Emerson’s assistant, Vincent Jerome Esch, designed the bridge of the north aspect and the garden gates. In 1902, Emerson engaged Esch to sketch his original design for the Victoria Memorial. Angel of Kolkata atop Victoria Memorial

Atop the central dome of the Victoria Memorial is the 16 ft (4.9 m) figure of the Angel of Victory. Surrounding the dome are allegorical sculptures including ArtArchitectureJustice, and Charity and above the North Porch are MotherhoodPrudence and Learning.

The Victoria Memorial is built of white Makrana marble. In design it echoes the Taj Mahal with its dome, four subsidiaries, octagonal-domed chattris, high portals, terrace, and domed corner towers.

Belur Math

The design of the temple was envisaged by Swami Vivekananda, and the responsibility of the architecture was laid in his hands. The architecture and design of the temple ‘celebrate the diversity of Indian Religions’. When seen from different angles, the monument resembles a temple, a church and a mosque. The incorporation of architectural styles from different religions conveys the universal faith in which the movement believes in.

The main entrance of the temple is heavily influenced by the Buddhist styles of the Sanchi Stupa and the entry of the Ajanta Caves. The windows and the balconies draw from the Rajput and Mughal styles of architectural designs, while the central dome is derived from European architecture. Also, the ground plan is in the shape of a Christian cross. Mainly built out of chunar stone, the 112.5 feet high temple has images of Lord Ganesha and Hanuman, who represent success and power respectively, carved above the pillars of the entrance doors.

Fort William

The Fort is built of brick and mortar in the shape of an irregular octagon with an area of 5 km2 (1.9 sq mi). Five of its sides face landward, and three towards the Hooghly River. The design is that of a star fort, suited to defence against cannon firing solid shot, and dates from before the advent of explosive shells. A dry moat 9 metres (30 ft) deep and 15 m (49 ft) broad surrounds the fort. The moat can be flooded but is designed as an area in which to use enfilade (or flanking) fire against any attackers reaching the walls. There are six gates: Chowringhee, Plassey, Calcutta, Water Gate, St Georges and the Treasury Gate. There are similar forts at places like Thalassery in Kerala.

Dakshineswar Kali Temple

Built in the navaratna or nine spires style of Bengal architecture, the three-storeyed south-facing temple has nine spires distributed in the upper two storeys, and stands on a high platform with a flight of stairs, overall it measures 46 feet (14 m) square and rises over 100 feet (30 m) high.

The garbha griha (sanctum sanctorum) houses an idol of goddess Kali, known as Bhavatarini, standing on the chest of a supine Shiva, and the two idols are placed on a thousand-petaled lotus throne made of silver.

Close to the main temple are the row of twelve identical Shiva temples built facing the east in the typical aat-chala Bengal architecture, they are built on either side of the ghat on the Hooghly river. To the North east of the Temple Complex is the Vishnu Temple or the Radha Kanta Temple. A flight of steps lead to the columned verandah and into the temple where a silver throne rests with a 21+12-inch (550 mm) idol of Lord Krishna and a 16-inch (410 mm) idol of Radha.

UP Launches a New Policy on Population Control

On the occasion of World population day on 11th July, 2021, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath announces a new policy on population control for 2021-2030.  It aims to incentivize people to help in population control.

Population of Uttar Pradesh

India’s one-sixth population lives in Uttar Pradesh, which make it India’s most populous state in India. The population in Uttar Pradesh is grown 3.5 times from 46 million in 1901 to 166 million in 2001.The first census recorded was in the year 1901 with a population of 46,647,804 by British India. The population is constantly increasing its growth rate from 6.56 to 25.85% till 2001 and with decreasing growth rate from 25.85 to 20.23% in 2001 to 2011. The Uttar Pradesh population by 2021 will be 236 million and the report of census has been proven right as according to UID, Uttar Pradesh population in 2020 is estimated to be 237 million. And the current population of Uttar Pradesh is approximately 241 million. Which is more than the estimate.

So here we see how rapidly the population of Uttar Pradesh is increasing and that is why it has become necessary to control the population of Uttar Pradesh.

In view of this, the Chief Minister of UP launching the new policy of population control. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath said that rising population is the root cause of major problems including inequality. “Increasing population can be a hurdle in way of development. Every community has been taken care of in Population Policy 2021-2030,” CM Yogi Adityanath said. Let us, on this ‘World Population Day’, take a pledge to make ourselves and the society aware of the problems arising from the increasing population,” Yogi Adityanath said in a statement.

Objectives of this policy

Under this policy, government will adopt five-pronged approach to control population.

  • The Policy will focus on comprehensive arrangements for the care of elderly and will also focus on improved management of education, health, and nutrition for adolescents between 11 and 19 years.
  • The policy will look at different strategies and work towards a convergence of existing schemes to streamline population control efforts and improvement in health.
  • Health clubs will be set up in schools and digital tracking will be done for newborns, adolescents and elderly people.
  • Efforts will be made to increase accessibility of contraceptive measures issued under the Family Planning Programme and provide a proper system for safe abortion.
  • Efforts will also be made to maintain demographic balance across different communities and ensure easy availability of advanced health facilities.

Also a population control bill has been prepared by Uttar Pradesh government’s law commission, which promises perks and incentives to government employees and general public who will follow population control measures. The commission has released the final draft of the ‘UP Population (Control, Stabilization and Welfare) Bill, 2021’ and invited suggestions by July 19. According to the draft bill, those people who have more than two children will be debarred from contesting local body polls, applying for government jobs or receiving any kind of subsidy. The draft says it is necessary to control and stabilize the population of the state for the promotion of sustainable development with more equitable distribution.

With this policy, Yogi Adityanath urged for community-centric approach to population control to provide better facilities. People should also take seriously the problem of rising population because without their awareness and help the problem is not possible to overcome.  Both on state level and central level should also adopt some measure to control population growth, keeping in mind rising population.

Javed Akhtar controversial statement

Veteran writer- Lyricist Javed Akhtar trolled for inventing neutral words for Gender equality

By Sapnanil konwar, 11th July, 2021

India is facing gender equality since ancient times. Many women can’t work because of patriarchy mindset of Indian society. Indian poet javed akhter who is big advocate for gender equality tried to invent tow gender neutral word . He tweeted “In any speech article or conversation to give equal respect to both the genders we constantly say and write he / she and Him or her . Why can’t we invent two words like for he/she – HESH and for him/ her – SHIM. “
Many people Retweeted trolling him for mentioning about only two gender . Undoubtedly Twitter can be a strong platform to discuss evil norms of Indian society but changing he/she or him/her won’t minimize problem although it creats an environment to discuss gender equality.

Causes of Rape

The cause of rape includes military conquest, socioeconomics, anger, power, sadism, traits, ethical standards, laws, and evolutionary pressures that lend some explanation to the causes of sexual violence. No single facet explains the thought process of perpetrator for rape of a particular individual as the underlying motives of the rapist can have many sides.

  • Many people consider sexual aggression as a masculine identity characteristic of manhood. In many male groups it is significantly correlated to the desire to be held higher in esteem among male peers. Sexually aggressive behaviour among young men has been correlated with gang or group as well as having other delinquent peers.
  • People’s obsession with sex often leads to rape. There have been instances where people rape their own mother, sister, minors, infants, old and aged women, women suffering from unsoundness of mind, women in comma or those hospitalized with severe ailments.
  • Men’s desire to control women. More men are tend to boast about their sexual encounters equating them with conquests. People believe that sex requires a man to be aggressive, he feels superior and in control. Husbands rape their wives and seek to justify it as a means of punishment to her or to put her in her place or simply to vent out their frustrations. All those people who believe that woman cannot take no for an answer and force sex to punish or avenge.  People rape their girlfriends, live-in partners, friends and acquaintances.
  • Lack Of Sex Education. Many adolescent boys have an urge to explore. A skewed sex ratio, lack of accessibility and negligible interaction with people of the opposite gender play havoc on impressionable minds now fed with easy access to porn. There are item numbers where the woman is projected as no more than an object of desire. This causes women to be viewed as commodities, meant to be consumed and ravished. Sexually obsessed perpetrators don’t even consider women as human beings but as an object that can be violated with impunity.

Messi bags the Copa America Title for Argentina

Argentina defeated Brazil in the Copa America final in Rio’s Maracana stadium, ending Lionel Messi’s wait for his first major international title.

At the full-time whistle, Messi, 34, dropped to the ground in excitement and was quickly swarmed by his teammates before being thrown in the air in celebration, as he finally achieved top-level honours with his country in his 10th major tournament.

He also helped Argentina win the competition for the first time in 28 years, and he was awarded player of the tournament after scoring four goals in the competition.

Messi had a chance to seal the victory with a goal at his mercy, but he slipped with the game on the line. It would have been the perfect ending for the Argentine captain.
“The happiness is great,” Messi stated after the game, praising the Argentina team’s mentality. “I had a lot of faith in this group, which had grown in strength since the last Copa America. “I had a lot of faith in this group, which had grown in strength since the last Copa America. It’s a collection of wonderful people that are continually striving to improve and never complain.”

Brazil, the defending champions, were lacklustre, with their only notable chances coming when Richarlison and Gabriel Barbosa forced Emi Martinez into saves.

Messi’s opposing number 10 and former Barcelona teammate Neymar went to his knees in tears at the final whistle, as he continues his own personal pursuit of international triumph after missing Brazil’s 2019 Copa win due to injury.

While waiting for the trophy ceremony, the pair, who played together at the Nou Camp between 2013 and 2017 before the Brazilian’s departure to Paris St-Germain, reunited after the match.

“You’d adore him even more if you knew how he [Messi] played at the Copa America,” Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni said.

“You can never have enough of a player like him, even when he isn’t entirely fit, as he was in this and the prior game.”

Because of Covid-19 restrictions, the game was only viewed by a small crowd of 7,000 invited guests, although it was the first of the tournament to draw spectators.

The tiny home crowd made their presence felt, especially when Messi touched the ball, booing and jeering the forward.

The tournament, which had been postponed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic and relocated from initial co-hosts Colombia and Argentina, was transferred to Brazil at the last minute, drawing controversy due to a spike in coronavirus cases in the country.

Messi’s opposing number 10 and former Barcelona teammate Neymar went to his knees in tears at the final whistle, as he continues his own personal pursuit of international triumph after missing Brazil’s 2019 Copa win due to injury.

It was clear from the ecstatic Argentina celebrations at full-time, with Messi the focal point, that this squad’s drive to triumph against their old rival was as much for their legendary forward as it was the nation.

It has been 15 years since Messi first represented Argentina at a major tournament and after four World Cups and six Copa America appearances, taking in 53 matches, he finally has the major international title he – and his country – has craved.

Despite being one of the most decorated and brilliant players of the modern era – and arguably all time – with 10 La Liga titles, four Champions Leagues and six Ballons d’Or, questions over his lack of impact on the international stage have hung over his legacy.

Questions about his immediate future will now continue to be asked, with Messi now a free agent after his Barcelona contract ended two weeks ago – although Barca have stepped up their attempts to keep hold of their star man with negotiations continuing.

There also remains the prospect of Messi going for what would likely be his last chance of winning the World Cup – something Argentina have not done since 1986 – should he lead his country out in Qatar at the age of 35 in December 2022.

Conspiracy Theory

Conspiracy theory, an attempt to explain harmful or tragic events as the result of the actions of a small powerful group. Such explanations reject the accepted narrative surrounding those events; indeed, the official version may be seen as further proof of the conspiracy.

Conspiracy theories increase in prevalence in periods of widespread anxiety, uncertainty, or hardship, as during wars and economic depressions and in the aftermath of natural disasters like tsunamis, earthquakes, and pandemics. This fact is evidenced by the profusion of conspiracy theories that emerged in the wake of the September 11 attacks in 2001 and by the more than 2,000 volumes on U.S. Pres. John F. Kennedy’s assassination. This suggests that conspiratorial thinking is driven by a strong human desire to make sense of social forces that are self-relevant, important, and threatening

The content of conspiracy theories is emotionally laden and its alleged discovery can be gratifying. The evidentiary standards for corroborating conspiracy theories are typically weak, and they are usually resistant to falsification. The survivability of conspiracy theories may be aided by psychological biases and by distrust of official sources.

Top 10 conspiracy theory

Many conspiracy theorists go much further, though, and see a hidden hand behind the world’s major events. While some of the theories have a grain of truth to them, conspiracy theories are impossible to disprove, because the hardcore believers will find some way to rationalize away evidence that contradicts their beliefs. Eyewitnesses who dispute their conclusions are mistaken—or part of the conspiracy.

The 9/11 Conspiracies

9/11 was the worst terrorist incident in the history of the United States. Terrorists hijacked 3 planes, two of which were flown into the World Trade Center in NYC, which led to its collapse and the death of about 3,000 people. To many people, the official story of what actually happened on that day seemed way off.

The weird way in which the twin towers came down and the surgical precision that is required to use two airplanes to cause the towers to collapse the way they did resulted in many conspiracy theories claiming that the attack was an inside job.

Reptilian People Ruling the World

A rather crazier one among these, this one suggests that the most influential leaders of the worlds are in fact Lizard Peoples. According to researchers travelling to different countries, Reptilians are a predator race that takes the form of a reptile man when feeding off of humanity. Some people have claimed to have seen people turn into reptiles and change back into humans, in seconds and sometimes the change lasts for even days. The theory suggests that the race feeds on human fear and that is why most of the terror attacks are actually inside jobs to keep the humans scared.

According to everyone else who believes in this theory- the society’s elites are actually lizards disguised as humans with the mission of enslaving the human race! Those “elites” include world leaders, actors and large corporate executives. Celebrities that are claimed to be from the “reptilian elite” include George W. Bush, the Clintons and even Queen Elizabeth.

The JFK Assassination

On November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Due to the mysterious motives and circumstances surrounding the assassination, plenty of conspiracy theories that are related to this incident have emerged. Those conspiracy theories make all kinds of claims, starting with the identity of the real killer and the people who were really behind it.

Conspiracy theories related to the people behind the assassination involved many organizations and government agencies, starting with the CIA and all the way to the mafia. Some even accuse the Castro government of being behind the assassination.

Who really killed JFK? Nobody knows for sure.

Area 51

Perhaps one of the most interesting and talked about conspiracy theories that trigger the curiosity of people of all ages has to be Area 51. It is a highly guarded place located in the Nevada Test and Training Range in the southern parts of Nevada in the western United States, 83 miles north-northwest of Las Vegas. Details of what goes on in this area are top national secret but speculations say that it is a training and development grounds of the United States Air Force (USAF).

Where something is called “top secret” to the public, conspiracy theories are bound to surface. This was back in the 1940s when mysterious flying saucers were claimed to been spotted by commercial airline pilots. Then later, what was found on the crash site, was described to be a UFO. Theories suggest that the government has kept within Area 51 many such UFOs and most probably its inhabitants, to re-engineer their aircraft and build highly advanced machines for themselves.

These theories were reaffirmed when a retired army colonel claimed that he was given access to extraterrestrial materials gathered from a crashed UFO in Roswell. MAny other conspiracy theories go as far as suggesting that the government is studying time travel in Area 51. Believe them or don’t but these are sure quite the talk of the town.

The moon landing

The greatest achieved by human civilization was the first steps of mankind on the moon. Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first humans to set foot on the moon’s soil. But if conspiracy theorists were to be believed, then the whole thing might have been a hoax. It is said that the US was so desperate to win the moon race against Russia, that they faked the whole mission by filming it on a film set.

Unfortunately, there are many conspiracy involving this. Filmmaker Stanley Kubrick in his 1968 Film 2001: A Space Odessey has shown the world that it was possible to create a make-believe film set that perfectly depicted space. This further solidified the conspiracy theories that he might have helped Nasa to film the hoax. Also, the fact that the pictures and videos of the space mission were only available through NASA’s website further raised suspicions.

Secret Societies of the World

The conspiracy theories surrounding this one definitely received its due limelight due to our very famous novelist Dan Brown and his books about the Illuminati. Conspiracy theories suggest that the world is actually ruled by secret societies that are very powerful and influential. They control the world order.

Reports came out in 2004 that both the Presidential candidates were members of a secret society called the Skull and Bones Society of the Yale University. It is believed they control the world.

Apart from that, theories claim that most of the people sitting in some of the most powerful positions in the world are members of some sort of secret society.

The more famous societies that are at the zenith of conspiracies are the Illuminati and the Freemasons. The Illuminati, a Satanic society, which has apparently formed in 18th Century Germany, is said to be trying to create a single government to rule the world and contains some of the most influential people with the likes of Beyonce.

5G causes Coronavirus

Living during a pandemic, how can we miss out on the latest and most happening conspiracy theory that is afloat among us right as we discuss this. This theory claims that 5G technology may have been responsible for the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus.

Though scientists and experts all around the world have rubbish theses claims stating that it is biologically impossible for a virus to spread through an electromagnetic wave, it hasn’t stopped theorists from second-guessing. The idea around is that 5G lowers the body’s immune system and thus accelerates the spread of the Covid-19.

Also, the huge debatable conspiracy around the coronavirus is that it is a bioweapon created by China to weaken the world. It’s surely one of the tragic events to have ever struck the world. Public health now remains a worry more than ever.

Whatever it is, we would like nothing more than to get rid of the deadly virus and get our normal lives back.

For all we know, the real world is a strange one indeed.

 Chemtrails

Did you ever look at the sky and notice those line-shaped clouds that an airplane leaves behind? Those trails are mainly a combination of water vapor and other impurities that are crystallized due to the low temperatures at high altitudes.

The chemtrails conspiracy theory suggests that those trails are a material that is sprayed by governments over their populations with the malicious intent of controlling their minds!

As those trails are seen by people all over the world, this conspiracy theory has gained much more momentum than it should. Or, is that what the government wants us to believe?

Paul Is Dead

This is one of the very many conspiracy theories that has entertained fans in pop culture for decades. According to claims, The Beatles legend Paul Mc Cartney died in a gruesome car accident in 1966 when the band was in the peak of its fame. Fearing that the news of his death would severely affect the band’s image so early on in their career, the band members decided to replace McCartney with a look-alike who, as we all know, is still very much alive and kicking.

Fans have speculated the albums the band released after 1966 and found many references and clues which suggested McCartney’s untimely death. In the album, Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, fans have pointed out several clues which validate their suspicion. In the song, A Day In The Life, lyrics like “He blew his mind out in the car” are said to suggest his car accident.

The song, Strawberry Fields Forever has been under the midst of a huge conspiracy which still gets talked about. It is said that John Lennon is clearly heard mumbling at the end of the song “I buried Paul” twice. Lennon has vehemently denied the claims insisting that he was saying “Cranberry sauce”.

Another famous conspiracy theory arises due to the cover of the album Abbey Road where the band members are walking in a line. There John is seen leading a “funeral procession” dressed in white, Ringo is dressed in black signifying a mourner and George appears as a gravedigger. Paul, however, is seeing walking out of line from the rest, barefoot. This, fans claim is a sign since there is no need for shoes in the afterlife.

Tupac Shakur isn’t Dead

After attending the Mike Tyson vs. Bruce Seldon match in the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Tupac Shakur was shot in a drive-by shooting in the Las Vegas Strip, after which he died a few days later in the hospital. Well, at least that’s what the official story and the hospital reports said!

According to many of the iconic rapper’s fans, Tupac Shakur is still alive and actually faked his own death. People who believe in this conspiracy theory resort to all kinds of lyrics deciphering to provide evidence of Tupac hinting his own “fake death” and the fact that he is still alive in his songs lyrics.

What are your favorite conspiracy theories? Let us know in the comments section.

UP Population Control Bill 2021, Yogi Govt’s 2 Child Policy

Those having more than two children will be debarred from contesting local bodies polls, applying for government jobs or receiving any kind of subsidy, says a draft of a population control bill put up on the UP Law Commission website.

The draft bill, for which suggestions have been invited from the public till July 19, also debars people from getting promotion in government job.

The move has drawn flak from the opposition parties, with the Congress describing it as a “political agenda” ahead of the Assembly elections next year. The Samajwadi Party said the move meant the “murder of democracy”.

The UPSLC website says, “The State Law Commission, UP, is working on control, stabilisation and welfare of the population of the state and has prepared a draft bill.”

If implemented, the provisions of the draft titled The Uttar Pradesh Population (Control, Stabilization and Welfare) Bill, 2021 will come into force after one year from the date of publication in the Gazette.

The provision of this Act shall apply to a married couple where the boy is not less than 21 years of age and the girl is not less than 18.

Suggestions have been invited from the public to improve the draft bill and July 19 is the last date for it.

Listing incentives, the draft bill says, “Public servants who adopt the two-child norm will get two additional increments during the entire service, maternity or as the case may be, paternity leave of 12 months, with full salary and allowances and three per cent increase in the employer’s contribution fund under the National Pension Scheme.”

A state population fund will be constituted for its implementation. Listing the government duties, the draft bill says that maternity centres will be set up at all primary health centres.

Rising Population in India

Every year, July 11 is observe as World Population Day. It is celebrated to raise awareness about various population issues like Gender Equality, Poverty, maternal health and Human rights. This year the theme is “Rights and choices are the Answer: whether baby boom or bust, the solution to shifting fertility rates lies in priortising all people’s reproductive health and rights”.

Today, the world population is approximately 7.7 billion and anticipating 10 billion by 2100. India alone accounts for 17% of world’s total population and soon will become the top populated country surpassing China. With this population explosion, the third world countries are suffering the most because of limited resouces.

India is the second most populated country in the world with 1.3 billion approximate population which is larger in size. Some of the populated cities are Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Chennai. Population has a major impact on the nation’s holistic development. As a result, overpopulation needs to be controlled.

Low literacy rate is one of the top reason for population explosion. Many people in villages don’t know about the birth controlling methods and keep reproducing, further leads to population growth. This factor largely contributes to the population explosion. Another reason can be child marriage which is still a common practice following in many parts of the country. Girls are getting pregnant at a very young age and this process continues for a long time. Government is also not emphasising on population control methods and there are still very less strict laws unlike the other countries.

Growing population is exhausting the national resources. This jeopardising the upcoming generation because it is tough to get an equal share of resources now.  Not only affecting the human beings but also influencing the wildlife. Deforestation for urban living and industrialization is leading to extinction of many spices. Pollution is another crucial reason caused by it. India is now tackling the pollution and global warming problem too.

Even though Government is trying hard to control the population by introducing schemes like two-children policy. It should emphasis on education of people and educate them about the ill effects of population explosion. Also providing them knowledge about birth control methods can do the needful.

Growing population only do harm to us and we should not forget that how much we are suffering due to rising population. And soon it will become difficult to live if these numbers keep rising. People should understand this that it is a significant problem. Also governing bodies should come up with strong laws and practical solutions to control this situation.

Note on Judicial review

Judicial review is the doctrine under which legislative and executive actions are subject to
review (and possible invalidation) by the judiciary. Specific courts with judicial review power must
annul the acts of the state when it finds them incompatible with a higher authority (such as the terms
of a written constitution). Judicial review is an example of the separation of powers in a modern
governmental system (where the judiciary is one of three branches of government). This principle is
interpreted differently in different jurisdictions, which also have differing views on the different
hierarchy of governmental norms. As a result, the procedure and scope of judicial review differs from
country to country and state to state.

Police administration

Police Commissions at the National and State levels have made several suggestions ‘
to make the police efficient, responsive and responsible. But unfortunately on one
consideration or the other they have not been seriously considered. This indicates
that police reform is a low priority area in the country. Whatever reforms were
implemented they were done half-heartedly without understanding the socio￾political milieu within which the police has to operate. Because of the adhoc and
piecemeal nature of the reforms they did not have the intended effect. The reforms
are required not only in organisation, personnel. procedures but also in the attitudes
of the people and the police officials. Still colonial attitude pervades the minds of the
police personnel. Reform should be continuous because no adhoc approach will give
the intended results.
The police behaviour like rudeness, non-registration of FIR, maltreatment in lock￾ups and so on, are forbidden in the Police Regulations. Mohit Bhattacharya
explained the problem areas in the field of human rights. In his words “(a) General
feeling that the ground realities – how crime and criminals have actually to be dealt
with – are not appreciated by “human rights” protagonists, (b) the balance seems to
be tilting towards criminals, leading to police discomfiture; (c) human rights are, no
doubt, of great value; at the same time, police discretion is necessary to deal with
the ground situation”. The major problems faced by police functionaries and Police
Stations are intra-organisational issues related to human resource like insufficient
manpower, low motivation, lack of promotion opportunities, lack of proper training
etc. Infrastructure related problems such as shortage of vehicles and fuel, poor

Function of upsc

Union Public Service Commission is one of the most important institutions of democratic
governance and has been instrumental in ensuring the constitutional provision of Equality of
Opportunity to all the citizens by adhering to the standards of fairness and honesty in the
administration of its competitive exams. It is abundantly obvious by looking at the back ground of
the candidates who succeed at this exam. It has always given hope to millions of aspirants who come
from poorest to richest of the backgrounds. It wont be wrong to say that UPSC has been a beacon of
bright light in the dark sea of failing institutions of governance in India.
The functions of the UPSC as described in the Constitution are :
(i) To advise the government on all matters relating to the methods of recruitment
and norms to be followed in making apointments to civil services either directly or by
promotion.
(ii) To advise on the suitability of candidates for appointment, promotion and transfer.
(iii) To conduct examinations for appointment to All India services.
(iv) To advise on disciplinary matters affecting government servants.
(v) To advise on claims of legal proceedings instituted against a government servant and on
the claims in respect of injuries sustained by a government servant while on duty.
(vi) To advise on any other matter specifically referred by the President.

Role of PMO

The most significant change is probably the way Prime Ministers have become more
interventionist in the running of Departments and their individual policies. Rather than intervening
only on major issues of policy or strategy, or where Departments were in disagreement, the Prime
Minister (or those acting in his or her name) routinely comment on or change policies that are
solely matters for a single Department. Several units have been set up over the years to carry out
intervention and scrutiny ion different forms (Policy Unit, Delivery Unit, Strategic
Communications Unit, and so on) but these remain unaccountable, overlap with the Cabinet Office
and Treasury and collectively risk undermining the effectiveness of individual Departments.
Another significant change has been the growing willingness under successive Prime Ministers to use
a majority in the House of Commons to over-ride checks and balances established by constitutional
convention; for example, successive moves to curtail the independence of local government since the
1980s, or changes to civil liberties such as detention without trial. This links to the UK’s lack of a
written constitution: such fundamental changes can be carried by a simple majority in the Commons,
while countries with a written constitution would usually require a higher threshold for
‘constitutional’ changes. Combined with the extreme concentration of power in the hands of the
Prime Minister, this creates the risk – and in some cases the reality – of a dictatorship of the majority.
A further change has been the role of the Prime Minister in party fund-raising, particularly from major
donors, as elections have become more expensive and income from ‘rank and file’ members has
become a smaller proportion of the total. Though hard to measure (for obvious reasons), it appears
that this role has become more significant since the 1980s and could perhaps be compared to the
situation prior to the Honours (Prevention of Abuses) Act 1925. The risk of this development is that
the decisions of the Prime Minister are, or are seen to be, influenced by donors.

Role of planning Commission

An organizational structure consists of activities such as task allocation, coordination and
supervision, which are directed towards the achievement of organizational aims. It can also be
considered as the viewing glass or perspective through which individuals see their organization and its
environment. Organizations are a variant of clustered entities. An organization can be structured in
many different ways, depending on their objectives. The structure of an organization will determine
the modes in which it operates and performs. Organizational structure allows the expressed allocation
of responsibilities for different functions and processes to different entities such as the branch,
department, workgroup and individual. Organizational structure affects organizational action in two
big ways. First, it provides the foundation on which standard operating procedures and routines rest.
Second, it determines which individuals get to participate in which decision-making processes, and
thus to what extent their views shape the organization’s action
