Incompatible food combination

Some delicious combinations are doing your body more harm than good when eaten together. We all know the dangers and health risks of eating junk food yet we still stuff our faces with the ‘wrong things.’ We are all guilty of eating the wrong kind of food because we are too lazy to eat the right stuff. Either a busy day at the office or we are just feeling down and find a reason, an excuse rather to get our hands on that burger we had been craving all week. We all know that our health greatly depends on the food we choose to eat. That is why it has to be not only tasty but also good for our bodies. However, sometimes the wrong combinations of ingredients can undermine all the healthiness you were trying to achieve!

Some food combination can be harmful if you are having a delicate digestive system. Here are a few combinations that should not be eaten together as they may cause more harm than good.

1.Yogurt with fruit. You should avoid it as the bacteria of yogurt will act on the sugar present in fruits and leads to toxins, cold, allergies. Any sour fruit like berries and yoghurt do not make a good combination. A better idea with yogurt is to add some healthy fat in nuts or a dash of cinnamon. A little bit of honey or a few raisins go well too.

2.Water and food. Water along with meals is one of the worst combinations. This is because water tends to dilute stomach acids, which are essential for digesting the food that you eat. This can get difficult for your tummy and make it work more to digest the food.

3.Milk and Banana. Shocking right? According to Ayurveda, eating bananas and milk together can diminish Agni (fire), which is responsible for the digestion and metabolism of food. The digestion of this combo is very hard as it is known to produce toxins in the body.

4.Honey and Ghee. Mixing honey with ghee is a big NO. Honey has the property of heat and ghee has the property of cold, and one should never combine opposite properties in equal amounts.

5. Burger and fries. This may make you wonder because most burger joints give fries along with the burger. But it is not so because this combo is as wrong as it could get. Both fries and burger patty are deep fried food items, which can make your blood sugar levels very low. Low blood sugar levels will make you tired and lethargic.

6.Wine and dessert. Although we know wine and cheese to be a food match made in heaven, wine with dessert does not mix so well.

7.Mint with aerated drinks. Mint with coke can cause excessive bloating and gas, which can make you very uncomfortable.

8.Pizza and coke. Who doesn’t love pizza with a coke? As much as it sounds tempting, this combination is not good for your health. You should avoid drinking a cold drink with a cheesy food as the combination can lead to difficulty in absorption. Pizza is loaded with starch and proteins, which slows down digestion and high amounts of sugar from cola further makes you digestion sluggish.

9.Juice and cereal. If you are thinking that a glass of juice along with your breakfast cereal is going to give you much-needed energy for the day, well, that may not be true. The acids in fruit juices like orange juice hinder the breaking down of carbohydrates by affecting the enzyme activity.

10.Eggs and fried meat. One of the bad food combinations for digestion is eggs and fried meat. Fried meat like bacon along with eggs is a combo that is loaded with protein and your digestive system may take a long time to digest it.

11.Fruits with a meal. The best time to eat fruits is in the mornings, on an empty stomach, with a glass of water, as it helps in detoxifying your system.

12.Milk and melon. Milk and melon must never be paired. Since melons are rapidly digested, they trigger the secretion of stomach acids, which curdle the milk. This causes indigestion and causes many other diseases.

AGILE DEVELOPMENT

Agile Development is one of the software project development methodology.Agile is a term used to describe approaches to software development emphasizing incremental delivery, team collaboration, continual planning, and continual learning, instead of trying to deliver it all at once near the end.Agile focuses on keeping the process lean and creating minimum viable products that go through a number of iterations before anything is final. Feedback is gathered and implemented continually and in all, it is a much more dynamic process where everyone is working together towards one goal. Agile is a mindset and it’s a set of values and principles. Agile is a way of thinking and acting. Agile is all about short cycles, iterative and incremental delivery, failing fast, getting feedback, delivering business value to customers early and about people, collaboration and interaction. Agile is a mindset which is all about transparency, inspection and adaptation.

The Rise Of Hallyu

The Korean Wave or as it is more popularly known the ‘Hallyu Wave’ is the rise in the popularity of South Korean culture globally.

The word ‘Hallyu’ finds its origin in the chinese word Hanryu meaning “Korean wave”. The Korean wave refers to a global awareness of several aspects of South Korean culture, such as television and film (especially “K-dramas”), K-pop, manhwa, the Korean language, and Korean food.

Hallyu first started gaining prominence in the 1990s and was originally only limited to Japan and China. That all changed with one movie. Released in 1999, ‘Swiri’ is a North Korea/South Korea espionage film. The film was not only popular in China and Japan but soon gained popularity in several South East Asian countries as well. This momentum was carried forward with dramas such as ‘Autumn In My Heart’ and ‘Winter Sonata’ and films like ‘My Sassy Girl’. The popularity of these entertainment products generated a lot of hype about Korean culture’s exploding prominence.

The Korean government’s decision to relax the prohibition on Koreans travelling abroad in the early 1990s was perhaps the most crucial element that ultimately paved the way for Hallyu. This allowed a number of Koreans to go to the western world, primarily the United States and Europe. These western-educated Koreans carried with them new business approaches, new nuances and interpretations of art, movies, and music, as well as new means of expression. This resulted in a massive pool of young, energetic, and highly competent people eager to explore prospects in Korea.

At the same time when the restrictions were repealed, Asia (including Korea) was experiencing the terrible Asian financial crisis of 1997-98. The Asian financial crisis was a perfect storm of bad debt, lender anxiety, and regional economic difficulties.Because many worldwide stakeholders still felt Korea was in terrible health after the crisis, the nation lost foreign direct investments, tourism, and faced global mistrust. To address the issue, the then newly elected president Kim Dae-Jung and the Korean head of global PR agency Edelman co-authored a book geared towards foreign investors titled “Korea: On Course – and Open for Business.”

Since the 2000s, the Korean Wave has seen a steady increase in popularity but that all changed with the growing use of the internet and social media. Hallyu has been spreading for over 20 years, but K-pop in particular has grown more visible to worldwide audiences in the last five to ten years. K-pop is a noticeable and distinct addition to the domain of pop music for three reasons: very high-quality performance (particularly dancing), an exceedingly perfected aesthetic, and a “in-house” technique of studio production. The international breakthrough of “Gangnam Style” was followed by a boom of K-Pop idol groups such as Big Bang, Girls’ Generation, 2PM, EXO, Wanna One, BTS, Twice and Blackpink.

Korean films and filmmakers have increasingly piqued the curiosity of international cinema communities. Train to Busan, has gained international acclaim as a must-see Korean film due to its intriguing subject matter and good narrative structure.Films such as ‘Parasite’ and ‘Minari’ have won several accolades worldwide.

Korean skincare products have also grown in popularity throughout Asia. Amorepacific and LG Household & Health Care have risen to the top of the Asia-Pacific beauty industry. K-dramas and K-pop boosted exposure of Korean beauty goods and brands, which increased demand among Indian women, resulting in the establishment of several specialist e-commerce businesses. Korean consumer brands are expected to be in great demand in India by 2020, with items ranging from food to cosmetics and toys, in addition to household gadgets.

The Korean Wave’s budding global surge has not only boosted South Korea’s economy but also enhanced its soft power and cultural diplomacy. People all over the world are interested in the Korean Wave’s future because the continued flourishing of a local culture in global cultural marketplaces might send an inspirational message of acceptance and inclusiveness. The Korean Wave’s rise may also be an indication of changing relations between Western and non-Western cultures.

Shabnam Ali :The first Woman to be Hanged in Independent India.

Shabman of Uttar Pradesh will be the first woman to be hung for her crimes in independent India. The woman was sentenced to death for her actions, but her appeal is still pending. Since India’s independence, the female hanging house Mathura Jail, which was established more than a century ago, has not been used. Shabman, on the other hand, is most likely to be the first woman to be hanged here. The hanging date has not yet been set, but the Jail Superintendent stated that the necessary procedures have been made and that the rope to hang the inmate has been ordered.

Who is Shabnam Ali ?

Shabnam Ali is a Saifi Muslim from Bawankheri, a village on the borders of Amroha. She has a double MA in English and Geography and worked as a teacher in the village school before being convicted in 2008 with the murders of seven members of her family.

Shabnam and her lover Saleem were found guilty in 2008 of murdering seven members of her family: father Shaukat Ali (55), mother Hashmi (50), elder brother Anees (35), Anees’ wife Anjum (25), younger brother Rashid (22), cousin Rabia (14), and Arsh, Anees’ 10-month-old kid.
Shabnam sedated six of her family members on the intervening night of April 14-15, according to the prosecution case –– everyone but Arsh, the infant. Shabnam grabbed them by their hair as Saleem hacked off their heads with an axe. Her ten-month-old nephew was throttled. Shabnam would have been the lone heir to the estate if her family had all died.
Shabnam and Saleem were both in their 20s when they were apprehended five days after the incident, and Shabnam was seven weeks pregnant. She gave birth to her son in December of that year.
They were sentenced to death by an Amroha sessions court in 2010, which was affirmed by the Allahabad High Court in 2013 and the Supreme Court in May 2015. The death warrants were stayed by the Apex Court within ten days.

Shabnam’s claims throughout the trial

The pair began to turn against one another during the trial. Shabnam claimed she had reported her family’s murder to the authorities. Unknown intruders had allegedly barged into her home and murdered her family, according to her original account.

Shabnam said in a 2015 statement that Saleem had invaded her home with a knife and killed all of her family members while she was sleeping. Saleem, on the other side, admitted to just entering the house at Shabnam’s request, and that after he arrived, she confessed to murdering her family.
Shabnam’s compassion request was turned down by Ram Naik, the governor of Uttar Pradesh at the time. Her mercy petition was likewise denied by then-President Pranab Mukherjee in August 2016.

The death sentence was affirmed by a Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice of India SA Bobde in January 2020.Her legal options have not yet been explored.

Shabnam will be hung in the jail in Mathura.

Despite the fact that Shabnam has not yet been served with a death warrant, media reports claim that preparations are being made at the Mathura jail to put her to death. The construction of the gallows is being fixed, and two hanging ropes have been ordered from Bihar’s Buxar central jail, as the women’s hanging house has not been utilised since India’s independence.
Shabnam is currently imprisoned in Rampur.

Other Indian women on death row

According to a 2016 research on the death penalty in India published by National Law University, there are 12 women on death row in India. The President has previously rejected the mercy appeals of step-sisters Renuka Shinde and Seema Mohan Gavit. Between 1990 and 1996, the sisters were accused of kidnapping and killing multiple children in Maharashtra.

Ramshri, another inmate, was condemned to death in 1998, but after giving birth to a child while in prison, her death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment.

What is RTI?

The right to information is abbreviated as RTI. The 2005 Right to Information Act requires the government to respond to citizen requests for information in a timely manner. Every citizen has the right to request any information from the government, to see any government papers, and to obtain certified photocopies of those records. Citizens have the right to inspect any government work or collect a sample of any substance utilised in that work.
Right to Information is a part of fundamental rights under Article 19(1) of the Constitution. Article 19 (1) says that every citizen has freedom of speech and expression. Even though RTI is a fundamental right, still we need RTI Act to give us this right.

RTI Act’s Purpose
The Right to Information Act’s primary goal is to empower citizens, promote openness and accountability in government operations, combat corruption, and make our democracy truly function for the people. A well-informed public will be better able to maintain required vigilance over government instruments and hold it more accountable to the people it governs.
RTI Act Schema
The Parliament acknowledged that a democracy’s healthy and efficient functioning requires an informed citizenry and information transparency, and that such transparency is essential for combating corruption and holding government and its agents accountable to the country’s citizens. The Parliament was also aware that the release of information at random and without oversight could jeopardise other public interests, such as effective governance, efficient use of limited budgetary resources, and the protection of sensitive information’s confidentially.
What may RTI be used for?
Any citizen may request information from a “public authority” (a government entity or “state instrumentality”), which is required to respond promptly or within thirty days under the Act’s provisions. Every public entity is also required by the Act to computerise their records for wide dissemination and to proactively reveal specific types of information so that citizens only need to make formal requests for information. Parliament passed this law on June 15, 2005, and it went into effect on October 12, 2005. Inspection of works, documents, and records are all covered by the right to information. Take down notes, extracts, or certified copies of any documents or records you come across. Take samples of material that have been certified. Printouts, diskettes, floppies, tapes, video, cassettes, or any other electronic method or printouts can all be used to obtain information. Records, documents, memos, e-mails, opinions, advice, press releases, circulars, orders, logbooks, contracts, reports, papers, samples, models, data material held in any electronic form, and information relating to any private body that can be accessed by a public authority under any other law currently in force are all examples of information.

Right to Information Act’s Importance
1. This law gives citizens the right to request information from the federal, state, and local governments, as well as non-governmental groups that receive government funding.
2. The law equips Indian citizens with the necessary instruments to combat corruption.
3. RTI empowers citizens to hold government and government-funded institutions accountable.
4. Citizens have the right to request information under the Right to Information Act and determine whether their constitutional rights have been violated based on the information received.
5. Individuals are given information in order to advocate for themselves under this law.

LGBTQIA+ – A Road to Love and Acceptance

“If you are in the closet and fall in love with someone of the same gender, it doesn’t automatically remove the same and the fear that’s kept you locked away. The love you are experiencing encourages you to face the reality that this is who you really are and also has the power to set you free. “

– Anthony Venn Brown

India has become more accepting towards the LGBT community over the years. Nonetheless, majority of LGBT people in the country fear the judgement, discrimination from the society who might see homosexuality as shameful or abnormal. During the British rule, homosexuality was considered to be unnatural and was declared to be a criminal offence under chapter 16, Section 377 of the penal code. Even after gaining independence homosexuality continued to remain an offence.

If one traces the path of the movement, the first gay protest was held on August 11, 1992. An organization which was called AIDS Bhedbhav Virodhi Andolan (ABVA) assembled people in front of Delhi Police Headquarters protesting against the rounding up of men from Connaught Place on charges of homosexuality. Due to the ignorance and insensitivity of people the protest couldn’t gain significant amount of support and outcome. The activists from ABVA continued to fight for equality and acceptance their enthusiasm to decriminalize homosexuality led them to file a public interest litigation in Delhi high court challenging the constitutionality of section 377. This PIL became the first attempt to raise concerns for legalizing homosexuality but unfortunately the organization couldn’t follow through the petition and the case was dismissed in 2001.

In 1999, Kolkata hosted India’s first Gay pride parade which only had 15 attendees and was called Calcutta Rainbow Pride and was successful to spread the message which was being queer and being proud.

There are numerous reasons as to why accepting the community is important. Advantages of legalizing homosexuality will provide them with protection in terms of healthcare, finances and taxes which they have been denied too. It will reduce the number of crimes in the country. There have been many gay couples who want to start a family and have children, there are orphans in the world who would want to have a family and a house which they can call as their own this would benefit the adoption rate in a lot of countries. Despite of equality being given importance in the country the number of atrocities faced by the community is innumerable. People from LGBT have been hurt, mistreated, judged, humiliated and have been termed as mentally ill in the society. No matter what category of third gender they fall into at the end of the day they will always be considered to be humans. If we want to help them in any way, we should understand that more than support of the society they want their mere existence to be accepted, to make them feel that their emotions are taken into consideration.  If we as society build sensitivity for them everyone would feel safe, confident and accepted in their homes and families. No one deserves to suppress their identity and feelings of who they truly are.

From 2010 the community has tirelessly raised their opinions and voices to grant them equal rights. There have been judgements that paved way for the community which are –

  • NAZ Foundation Judgement, 2014 – The first judgement to declare section 377 as unconstitutional which violates article 14, 15 and 16
  • NALSA Judgement, 2014 – for the first time in the country, transgender people were recognized as the citizens of the country.
  • Arun Kumar Judgement, 2019 – expanded the category of women to include transgender people to identify them as brides as well.

The turning point for the community was the year of 2018, when a five-judge constitution bench was headed dealing with section 377 “refers to unnatural offences’’ which was against the law of the nature. On September 06, 2018 Supreme court ruled those consensual sexual relations between adult is Not a Crime.  At the end, being a supporter of the community

I would conclude that as humans we hold no authority to tell anyone who they are supposed to fall in love with, there should be no judgements when it comes to Love – It is the highest form of mankind it heals and overcomes anything!

Arificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence(AI) is simulation of human intelligence by machines. It mainly focus on making machines think like human and mimic their action. Artificial Intelligence has grown to be very popular in today’s world. It is the simulation of natural intelligence in machines that are programmed to learn and mimic the actions of humans. These machines are able to learn with experience and perform human-like tasks. As technologies such as AI continue to grow, they will have a great impact on our quality of life. It’s but natural that everyone today wants to connect with AI technology somehow, may it be as an end-user
