The AAERT & SSB, Faculty of Architecture was established in 1995 as part of Gujarat’s first self-financed college, Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology, Surat, under the aegis of Sarvajanik Education Society, India’s largest philanthropic society. Sarvajanik Education Society caters to the educational needs of over 33,000 students in 33 institutes from pre primary to doctoral level. The Faculty of Architecture is a leading institution imparting architectural education in Gujarat.

Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur owes its origin to the erstwhile Bengal Engineering College, the history of which goes to the nineteenth century when industries in the sense we understand today, were practically absent. Prompted by the idea of meeting requirement of trained engineering personnel for the Public Works Department, the then council of Education, Bengal, decided to open Civil Engineering classes and a Professorship in Civil Engineering was created at Hindu College, Calcutta, in the year 1843-44. A College of Engineering was started by the name of Civil Engineering College on 24th November, 1856, in the premises of the Writers Building, Calcutta.
With the establishment of Calcutta University on January 24, 1857, the college was affiliated to this university in May 1857. The first-degree examination in Bachelors of Civil Engineering was held in 1864 in which only 2 students graduated. In 1865, the college merged with Presidency College, Calcutta and from 1865 to 1869 the college functioned as the Civil Engineering Department of Presidency College. In 1880, the college was shifted to its present campus at Shibpur, Howrah, and was christened the \’Government College, Howrah,\’ in the premises of Bishop\’s College. It started imparting training in Civil as well as Mechanical Engineering. The college became wholly residential from the year 1889.

The School of Architecture is situated at Malwa plateau. It enjoys a lush green pollution free environment & a pleasant climate almost round the year. School of Architecture offers a high level of education coupled with personal care through a highly qualified and experienced faculty members and state-of-art equipment and audiovisual aids.The candidate must have passed 10+2 (with Mathematics) exam or equivalent of the M.P. Board conducted by other State Board or University with minimum score of 50% in aggregate. Also a Candidate must qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by council of Architecture for course i & ii. The admissions are strictly through the counseling by competent authority.

ASAP being its journey in 2005 with 18 students. After a decade of smooth passage school now stand with strength 600 young minds. ASAP is proud of the five batches of B. Arch and first batch of B. Plan successfully serving the society as professional Architects and Urban Planners. The School is recognized by Council of Architecture (CoA) and Institute of Town Planners, India (ITPI), running full time 5 years B.Arch ,4 year B. Plan and 2 years of M. Arch program course supported by well qualified and dedicated Core, Part-Time and Visiting faculty.

SEDRAA (Society for Education Development and Research in Architecture & Art) is a body established by members, who are highly devoted and committed for the cause of promoting higher education in the field of Architecture, Art and Design. This was done with the vision of providing quality education in the field of Academics related to design at National level.

SEDRAA is successfully managing Aayojan School of Architecture, Jaipur from last 17 years. Aayojan Jaipur has made a name for itself in this comparatively brief period. Approximately 800 students have graduated from here and are currently doing their bit towards building a vibrant and progressive country. Some have made their way abroad for higher studies and some have returned to these portals to don the mantle of teaching. Currently Aayojan Jaipur has a strength of 700 students, the future designers who will leave their stamp on the country\’s skyline.

R V College of Architecture is situated in Bangalore in Karnataka state of India. Established in 1992, it is accredited from Council of Architecture (COA) and it is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. RVCA, Bangalore offers 2 courses across 1 streams namely Engineering and across 2 degrees like B.Arch, M.Arch.Hostel facility is available for its students.
