CMR Law School (CMRLS), a part of the CMR Jnanadhara Trust, was established in 2003. Affiliated to the Karnataka State Law University, it attracts students from most SAARC nations and Africa.

Army Institute of Law (AIL) was established in July 1999 under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES).The Institute runs B.A.,LL.B. 5-year degree courss in law, primarily for the wards of servicemen and ex-servicemen of Army. One-fifth of the total number of seats is available to wards of civilians. Of this, 15 per cent are reserved for residents of Punjab and 5 per cent for rest of India.
