What is ragging and why should it be prevented

The Supreme Court defined ragging as “any disorderly conduct, whether by words spoken or written, or by any act that has the effect of teasing, treating with rudeness any other student indulging in rowdy or indisciplined activities that causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship, or psychological harm, or to raise fear of apprehension thereof ill a fresher or a junior student, or asking the students to do any act or perform something which such students. The apex court has taken into consideration while defining ragging all kinds of acts faced by a fresher or a junior while subjecting to ragging by the seniors. Ragging has become a threat, a source of fear and surprise not only for freshmen but also for their parents, who are sending their children to pursue higher education with their hard-earned money. Several intellectual youths have become ragging martyrs, some have had nervous breakdowns, some have left institutes after being subjected to ragging, some have committed suicide, and some have been murdered by seniors under the guise of ragging. The court, the authorities, the principal, and every concern have all condemned ragging as a heinous practice, but it persists despite all of the rules, regulations, and directives of courts and authorities. Nobody could claim to have completely stopped it. The most heinous case of ragging was revealed in November 1986, when Navarasu, a 17-year-old first-year medical student at Annamalai University in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, was brutally murdered by a senior named “David,” who was said to be a Karate expert. He murdered Navarasu because he refused to submit to his ragging whims.

In August 2003, an engineering student at Engineering College Jalpaiguri in West Bengal was admitted to hospital after enduring a night of brutal ragging by his seniors. For refusing to strip in front of the seniors, the victim was beaten with iron rods and bicycle chains. The governments, both central and state, have taken positive steps to put an end to this practice. Mr S.R. Bommai, the HRD Minister at the time, informed the Rajya Sabha that steps were being taken to ensure that those found guilty of ragging were treated as guilty of gross misconduct and that the penalty of rustication or removal from the rolls of the universities could be imposed on the offenders. He also informed the House that instructions have been issued to universities, institutions, and state governments to take firm action to combat this threat and to invoke the necessary legal provisions. In a public interest case in 2001, the Supreme Court stated that “failure to prevent ragging by management would be an act of negligence in maintaining discipline in the institution.” If a student is subjected to ragging, the Principal and other authorities may face consequences. The Supreme Court also stated that “if an institution fails to curb ragging, the UGC/ fun ‘agency may consider discontinuing financial assistance to such an institution until it implements the anti-ragging norms.” A university may consider disaffiliating a college or institution that does not comply with the court’s clear warning.

THE WORLD AFTER COVID 19

COVID-19 infected hundreds of millions of people worldwide. The pandemic has also caused significant damage to global and regional governing political structures, necessitating a reconsideration of their own raison d’être. The global economic fallout has also been unprecedented, with major disruptions in the flow of goods and people, as well as lockdowns in the transportation, services, and retail industries, among others. Three realities must be genuinely addressed to build a post-COVID-19 order that is adequately prepared to deal with the next global crisis, as well as those that have been ongoing for decades. First, the previously held belief that global crises and problems are addressed through local responses must be abandoned. Second, the COVID-19 pandemic has reminded us of the importance of (re)investing in basic, perhaps naive and simple, public health functions like sanitation, as well as transparent national and global health monitoring. Third, the pandemic serves as a stark reminder to abandon the mantra that privatisation of the healthcare delivery system is the solution, in favour of viewing health as a public good that must be managed and executed by the state and its public sector, whether national, sub-regional, or local. We must learn from the pandemic to strengthen our societies. The pandemic has also caused significant damage to global and regional governing political structures, necessitating a reconsideration of their raison d’être and mode of operation (or lack thereof). The global economic fallout will also be unprecedented, as goods and people flows have been severely disrupted, and lockdowns have hit the transportation, services, and retail industries, among others. Many people around the world have speculated in recent years about the impact of rising nationalism on the formation of a new world order. COVID-19 demonstrated how nationalism can lead to the dissolution of decade-long alliances based on shared values and interests. The question now is whether the world will support and continue with the nationalism theme after COVID-19, or whether the balance will shift toward placing more value on globalist approaches and values, beginning with better global health. The pandemic is a clear reminder to abandon the mantra that privatisation of the healthcare delivery system is the solution in favour of viewing health as a public good that must be managed and executed by the state and its public sector, whether national, sub-regional, or local. The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the importance of the “health for all” approach, which sees health as a public good. As a result, the population of every single country affected by COVID-19 expected the state to take care of them, from testing, containment, and healthcare provision to relocating citizens. The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the importance of the “health for all” approach, which sees health as a public good. As a result, the population of every single country affected by COVID-19 expected the state to take care of them, from testing, containment, and healthcare provision to relocating citizens. This was true even in countries where the dominant culture and philosophy valued minimal state intervention in all aspects of life. COVID-19 will alter our perceptions of the state’s role and responsibilities.COVID-19 is not the first global crisis that humanity has faced, nor will it be the last. At the moment, the critical issue is to learn from this pandemic and advance our societies to become stronger and more just, something that the world has not prioritised in recent decades. This could be a wake-up call.

UNEMPLOYMENT: A MAJOR ISSUE

Unemployment is a major problem not only in India but around the world. There are hundreds of thousands of people out there who are unemployed. Furthermore, unemployment is a major issue in India due to the growing population and demand for jobs. Furthermore, if we ignore this issue, it will become the cause of the nation’s demise. Unemployment refers to a situation in which skilled and talented individual desires to work. However, due to a variety of factors, I am unable to find a suitable job. We now understand what unemployment is, but it does not simply mean that a person does not have a job. Unemployment also includes people who work in fields outside of their expertise.

Disguised unemployment, seasonal unemployment, open unemployment, technological unemployment, and structural unemployment are all examples of different types of unemployment. In addition, there is cyclical unemployment, educated unemployment, underemployment, frictional unemployment, chronic unemployment, and casual unemployment.

The most common types of unemployment in India are seasonal unemployment, unemployment, and disguised unemployment. In a country like India, there are numerous reasons why a large portion of the population is unemployed. Some of these factors include population growth, slow economic growth, seasonal occupation, slow economic growth, and a decline in the cottage industry.

Furthermore, these are the primary causes of unemployment in India. Furthermore, the situation has deteriorated to the point where highly educated individuals are willing to perform the duties of a sweeper. Furthermore, the government is not taking its responsibilities seriously. on unemployment, unemployment, and disguised unemployment. If things continue as they are, unemployment will become a major problem. Apart from that, an economy experiences an increase in poverty, an increase in crime, labour exploitation, political instability, mental health problems, and skill loss. As a result, all of this will eventually lead to the nation’s demise. The government has taken the problem seriously and is taking steps to gradually reduce unemployment. IRDP (Integrated Rural Development Programme), DPAP (Drought Prone Area Programme), Jawahar Rozgar Yojana, Employment Assurance Scheme, NRY (Nehru Rozgar Yojana), Self-Employment Training, PMIUPEP (Prime Minister’s Integrated Urban Poverty Eradication Program), employment exchange, Employment Guarantee Scheme, development of the organised sector, small and cottage industries, employment in forging countries, and Jawahar Gram Samridhi Yo

Furthermore, through these schemes, the government makes some rules more flexible, allowing for job creation in the private sector as well. To summarise, the problem of unemployment in India has reached a tipping point. However, the government and local governments have taken the issue seriously and are working to reduce unemployment. Also, to
fully address the issue of unemployment, we must address the root cause of the problem, which is India’s vast population.

Netflix gives a reason to cheer for some of its viewers

Netflix is now providing one more option for American users. Now, some users have the option of taking up the lowest subscription available with ads. This subscription is available for a price of $6.99 a month and comes with ads in between the shows.

This subscription also makes some of the content unavailable to the viewers. To check the blocked content, you will have to get the no ads subscription. If the content has a red lock in the top right corner, then assume that such content is blocked.

This offer was on the cards for quite some time. So, after some trial, now the offer is available for some. This offer now makes the most popular streaming site, more attractive to viewers. It also enables the viewers to experience their favourite content, but with some ads. There is also a restriction in terms of the resolution, which is restricted to 720p.

On the official part, Netflix clarifies that there will ads of 15 to 20 seconds in duration. You cannot skip them, but you can pause them. The ads are the general ads that you see on the internet or YouTube. So, now we can choose one of the cheaper options from Netflix and keep using it. It will reduce piracy to some extent. It will also reduce the sharing of accounts which has been the case with many, for the last few years.

Recently, there have been speculations of various changes in the Netflix plan. So there have been some for the last few months. It is one of them. The other changes include the introduction of restrictions that will stop people from sharing passwords of their accounts with their friends and family.

But there is also content on the platform which will not show you any ads. It is difficult to predict as no list or indication will indicate which content has ads and which does not.

Now, if we consider different platforms, then there are a few changes that point to this new subscription option. In the case of iOS, there is an indication that people can select an ad-supported option, but there are no links, that can point you in the right direction. On the other hand, there are links on the website that will direct you to the page, that will let you choose the ad option.

So, now these changes will be bad news for some. As people expect to see ads in a free version of any service. But, here the viewers will have to watch ads even after paying a certain amount for a subscription. Only time will tell whether viewers like this plan or not. But for beginners there is one plus point, there is an even cheaper version of Netflix for the viewers. For the unknown, there will also be less requirement for some to share their login details as more viewers will be able to afford Netflix. Netflix will also be hoping that more subscribers use its streaming service.

Twitter is going through a transition period

Twitter has been able to create a lot of buzzes lately. It has a new owner now, named Elon Musk. This change has taken place after several ifs and buts. But a decision has been made.

Now, if we take a look at the previous actions related to this matter. Then we can safely conclude that there have been various changes to the multimillion-dollar deal. At first, it was declared that Musk will buy the company. But later on, he demanded to disclose the number of fake accounts. Then it was declared that he was cancelling the deal. After that, Twitter did question the fact that someone cannot cancel a deal after having a look at some confidential data.

So now the $44 million deal is done. It also avoids Elon Musk from facing a court case, which Twitter was planning to put against the famous billionaire. As a result of the deal, several top executives have been removed from their places. There have also been layoffs to reduce the number of employees.

Now, when it comes to Twitter as a platform, then there will be some changes to the social media platform. The first one is the fact that the blue tick will now cost $8 for a month. So, this is the beginning of a new future for Twitter.

Now, there are also speculations that Elon Musk will be making a lot of changes within the Twitter platform. Some of them can be seen on the official Twitter account of the famous billionaire. All of these changes will be seen shortly.

Among all this, there have been various speculations that the employees of Twitter are going to sue it for the mass firing act. To remove the spotlight from the mass layoff, there are also complaints from Elon Musk that the advertisers are fleeing the platform.

There is also speculation by Twitter users that there will now be strict rules and regulations that will shape a different future for Twitter. All of these also point out that Elon Musk is desperately waiting for Twitter to start making money.

After the layoffs, Jack Dorsey has also taken the responsibility for the layoffs. The layoffs have come as a setback for several employees. But there is also speculation that after the layoffs, some employees are being requested to come back.

This layoff has mainly affected India. The maximum workforce of the company has been fired in India, and now very few have been retained.

All of these events have given very bold and harsh indications to the entire world. As Elon Musk is the CEO, so he will now be taking a lot of steps towards changing the company. The steps will bring about some more surprises, as has been depicted by the above incidents. But the effects will also be there. The recent rapid steps have not been accepted positively by the public. So, it remains to be seen, what more will make the headlines for the social networking site. After all this, the future is exciting for Twitter.

IMPORTANCE OF EXERCISE

Who doesn’t like to look beautiful? But, for being the centre of attraction, you have to spend maybe a million dollars a year to feel contented. Myth alert! Do you know, you can look 10x younger without spending a single penny? Yes, you’ve read that right. The simple solution is EXERCISE!

Science says that a person who exercises regularly has a higher lifespan with more happy days, and the feeling of being confident enough is just endless.

Exercise continues to help millions of people stay fit and achieve their goals every day. Along with its many benefits, one major benefit of exercising is that it assists in preventing cardiovascular diseases. Regular exercise reduces your blood pressure and overall bad cholesterol. Not only this, it increases your good cholesterol levels as well — wow!

Every year, almost 70 million Americans are affected by insomnia (sleeplessness). And almost 40-50% of the adult population globally suffers from this condition. These figures are alarming. But, don’t worry. Exercise is here for our rescue. It is scientifically proven that exercise greatly improves the quality of sleep. Since exercise improves physical health, so by the end of the day, your body feels rested. And as a result, you stop turning and tossing your head in anticipation of a restful sleep all night.

Over the years, multiple types of research and studies have shown how inactivity has contributed to increasing an individual’s weight. However, exercise can help you lose weight as well.

To fully understand the effect of exercise on weight loss, it is important to first understand the connection between body energy consumption and exercise.

Your body uses energy in three ways:

1) Digestion

2) Exercise

3) Maintaining heartbeat & breathing

During digestion, a lower calorie intake lowers your metabolic rate, which, in the meantime, aids in delaying weight loss.  On the other hand, regular exercise increases your metabolic rate, and resultantly, your body burns more calories and you begin to lose weight. No, that’s not magic. Its science.

Depression and anxiety have found their places in our minds. Even burnouts are forcing people to take pricey therapy sessions. But, it’s about time you should kiss goodbye to all those factors that make your feel depressed.

Exercise is the answer. Yes, exercise releases chemicals like endorphins and serotonin that lift your spirits and give you a positive feeling. It can also help you combat loneliness and make you a sociable person altogether.

When we think about or read about exercise, one question that frequently comes to mind is, “How much exercise is enough?” Actually, it depends on your age and medical condition. However, it is advised to exercise for at least 30 minutes each day to live a happy and healthy life.

World Pneumonia Day

Every year on November 12, there is a celebration called World Pneumonia Day to increase awareness of the illness. Here is all the information you require on the signs, causes, and remedies for pneumonia.

World Pneumonia Day: Pneumonia, an acute respiratory infection frequently brought on by a virus or bacteria, is the leading infectious cause of death in both adults and children, killing 2.5 million people worldwide in 2018, including 6,72,000 children. The current spike in Covid pneumonia infections is anticipated to dramatically increase the overall number of pneumonia-related mortality.

Every year on November 12, there is a celebration called World Pneumonia Day to increase awareness of the illness.

The burden of pneumonia in India is 23% of the global total, and case fatality rates range from 14% to 30%.

It continues to be the greatest cause of death in children worldwide, with India accounting for 20% of those deaths and having the highest prevalence of paediatric pneumonia of any nation.

More information regarding the many varieties of pneumonia, their origins, symptoms, prevention, and treatment is provided by Dr. Viswesvaran Balasubramanian, Consultant Interventional Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine, Yashoda Hospitals Hyderabad.

What is Pneumonia?

Pneumonia is the medical term for any illness that results in an inflammatory response in the lungs. Even though bacterial illnesses account for the bulk of pneumonia cases, viral infections like influenza or the COVID-19 virus can also affect the lungs and seriously harm them through inflammation, as the ongoing pandemic has shown.

Causes of Pneumonia

In India, tuberculosis is still a prominent factor in pneumonia, especially in low-income individuals and those with weakened immune systems. It has been noted that persons who smoke, who have a history of drinking or using other illegal drugs, or who have underlying chronic respiratory disorders like COPD have a higher risk of pneumonia.

Other factors that can cause pneumonia

1) inadequate dietary intake, particularly in children

2) improper ventilation in work or residence

3) underlying immunodeficiency illnesses, such as HIV, present

4) those who use steroids or other immunosuppressant drugs for autoimmune diseases or organ transplants

5) People with uncontrolled diabetes are more likely to develop pneumonia.

Symptoms of Pneumonia

1) Most pneumonia patients typically have a high-grade fever with or without chills.

2) They can cough up phlegm that is yellow or green in color.

3) They might feel out of breath.

4) A small percentage of patients may also have chest pain, sporadic bloody coughing, or appetite loss.

5) Patients with serious conditions may also get bloodstream infections and perhaps need a sophisticated life support system.

Diagnosis

The majority of pneumonia cases can be identified with a straightforward chest X-ray and routine blood tests, but a small number of patients may need a chest CT scan to rule out unusual pneumonia-related symptoms or consequences.

To determine the cause of pneumonia, further tests including sputum analyses are typically requested.

Recently, the development of rapid molecular assays like RT PCR has been used to make accurate diagnoses with a high degree of certainty.

To make an accurate etiological diagnosis, patients are occasionally subjected to invasive procedures like bronchoscopy. The key to treating this type of pneumonia is to start the right medications as soon as possible along with other supportive care.

Preventing Pneumonia

Adhering to timely immunization schedules, especially among high-risk groups, is one efficient strategy to avoid the occurrence of pneumonia. It has been demonstrated that several adult vaccines, including those for influenza and pneumococcal, are effective in lowering the prevalence and severity of bacterial pneumonia in adults.

It is essential to ensure appropriate COVID-19 vaccination given the ongoing pandemic.

Other lifestyle changes might reduce the risk of contracting pneumonia, such as quitting smoking and drinking, eating right, getting regular exercise, avoiding crowding, and managing blood sugar levels appropriately in diabetic individuals.

A total of 440,000,000 dollars will be distributed in price. FIFA, not the host nation, will choose how much each item costs. With accommodation and training expenses included, they will undoubtedly make around 336,434,000 dollars.

The event is advantageous for the participating teams, athletes, and the host nation. This is why nations like the United States, South Korea, and Japan aspired to host the competition. Overall, this event will provide good financial revenue for the host nation. The economy of Qatar will be greatly impacted by this money. More than 1.5 million new employment in important industries including construction, real estate, and hospitality are expected to be created as a result of Qatar hosting the FIFA World Cup.

So,The conclusion comes here with a brief mentality of parents and children.

Parents never want to grab or tie their own children with restrictions. If they do there must be the reason for their safety that’s important more than anything for any parents.

Children like that boy who live in his imagination are brilliant so to make success and happiness in their life it’s necessary to promote and support your child according to their way of interests.

And the last but not least ,the priority matter a lot for a family person no matter who you are, mother or father or sister or you are a brother,if you are in a family you must put your priorities first for them other than anyone no matter how complications has  started ,how it is difficult to deal or to resolve it but things will become smoother as soon as one put family on prior.Stay tied to the family is one of the best weapon to fight against any circumstances, situations,or any difficulty.

But there and then her mother become with a new identification and living her life as a normal person with family this mission was not her choice. They escape brilliantly from this leaving behind all this stuff if past and came back to home safely creating this adventurous night. And the boy who has very quite talent to make stories of imagination,he does the same in front of police too, reached all back to home safely.

Next morning, the neighbour came to take their child who was left for a sleepover and found the child safe and that child went home too.

Everything happened, the restrictions, the limitations came across with a very valid reason why kids of this family faced too many rules and regulations other than others. Now they understand and respect the situations and their family especially her mother.
