The Secret Wishlist by Preeti Shenoy

This is a review I wrote 3 years back when I guess I was kind of really obsessed with books & esp. novels of all. Preeti Shenoy is my favourite author of all time. Now if you’ve ever read any of her compositions, you’ll realize her highlight is to develop a story in a simple language filled with an effortless narrative style. Her style holds you and keeps you captive & her plot twists have to be mind-blowing. And right in the end, she just sneakily tugs your heartstrings as she explores matters close to hearts. So here it goes…

Ever since I’ve set out for this new obsession of mine “of being a bookworm” of not very late, realizing I’ve thoroughly enjoyed & loved every novel of her I’ve read. Be it “It happens for a reason” or “ Tea for two and a piece of cake” and some more proly I don’t remember anymore. But “Life is how you make it” stays to be my favourite of all times. Also happens to be my very first novel. But this particular novel “The Secret Wishlist” holds a different niche in my heart. For it has such an appealing story, causing a revolution in my heart, to flip my perspective by a total 180 degree split against the stereotypes set up by society. Amazing right?! And so is the story.

So I had to begin with this blogging with the very first review I have ever written.

Now this novel deals particularly with breaking through the cage of social evils, created by the Indian society for its inhabitants. The thought of extra-marital affair is what the novel describes to be fair. She makes her readers see through the situation by the vision of this lady called Diksha, who is stuck in this web of her duty & her call for her wants, dreams & wishes.

After leading a happy married life with her husband Sandeep, for the past fifteen years. And they have a son, Abhay. Every day she just performs her duties without ever bothering about her feelings & expectations. She doesn’t seem to mind her mundane life either.

But then she now feels frustrated, irritated & tired. Recalling the past, about her little crime she committed when she was sixteen fills her with a mixture of emotions. Finally, this makes her family take a tough decision on her. Eventually made to marry at a very early age, Diksha repents now for her deeds. Feeling, being obedient to her family will simply wash off her sins committed in the past. But what she didn’t realize then, was it would cause her to only accumulate a dozen sacks filled with pain & grudges overtime.

Now a sudden event in her cousin’s life seems to jolt her out. This is the point, where she finally realizes & decides to take some control over her life & form a wishlist. A heart-to-heart conversation between the two, finally makes her jot down the things she dreams of doing. Stuffs like snorkeling, drinking booze & learning salsa.

Diksha, who after approx. 18-years suddenly meets Ankit, her long lost love. Will she ever think of getting back to him? Will, she ever develop the courage to face the society, knowing the things she’s doing, the society disapproves of it? It’s the outlook of a woman, who is tired of acting as an obedient daughter, a befitting mother & a dutiful wife.

After fifteen years of her life when she has finally realized what she really wants from her life, by making her “The Secret Wishlist”, will she ever make it happen? Will she break through the cage of limitations in her heart and fly like a bird again? Well, to answer these questions, yes she does. Life leads her on a new way after this, ticking off each & every itinerary on her list. Naturally, this has lead her to succeed in developing courage & realizing her rights as a woman. She is very close to even realizing her dreams. But will she ever catch hold of her wishes? Will she be brave enough to confront Sandeep about her extramarital affair with Ankit? Moreover, will her parents approve of it?

Even after Ankit insisted on his company, to face her family members together, Diksha rejected his offer. Will she be able to handle the whole situation alone?
Well, for now, this is it. The rest of it is for me to know & you to find out.
So don’t forget to check out this exclusive novel  “The Secret Wishlist”
‘Cause my friend, trust me it’s more fascinating discovering things on your own.

Healthy diet

Priya Yadav,

Food is the need of every person, which gives us energy. Food must be balanced for energy. A balanced diet means a meal that contains the right amount of protein, vitamins, carbohydrates, fat, and fiber. A balanced diet is very important for us to be healthy. A balanced diet includes rice, roti, lentils, green vegetables, milk, and curd, etc. We should all eat healthy food every day. Healthy food gives us a happy life. We should also eat fruits daily in a balanced.

Make fruits and vegetables the largest part of your meal – half a plate quantity:
Try to eat many colors and many types of fruits and vegetables. And remember that potato is not considered a vegetable in a healthy food plate, because eating potatoes has a negative effect on blood sugar, or ‘blood glucose’.

Eat most of the whole grain, or whole grains – one fourth plate volume:
Whole and Whole Grains – Whole Wheat, Barley, Millet, Juvar, Jai, ‘Brown Rice’ or Unprocessed Rice, and foods made from them, such as bread made from whole wheat – made from plain flour, ‘White Rice’, And other processed grains have less effect on blood sugar and insulin.

Protein strength – one fourth plate volume
Fish, chicken, lentils, and walnuts are sources of healthy and versatile protein – they can be added to a salad, and go well with vegetables. Red meat should be eaten less, and stay away from processed meat, such as bacon and sausages.

Healthy plant oil or vegetable oil – in moderate amounts:
Choose healthy vegetable oils, such as olive or ‘olive’, canola, soybean, sunflower, peanut, mustard, etc. oils, and stay away from ‘parsley hydrogenated’ oils, as they contain unhealthy ‘trans fats’. Remember, foods do not become “healthy” simply because they are low or zero fat.

Drink water, tea, or coffee:
Stay away from sweet pies, eat only one or two servings of milk and other milk-based foods a day, and drink at least a small glass of fruit juice a day.

Be active:
The red color on the placement of the healthy food plate is to remind you that being active is also essential for weight balance.

The main message of a healthy food plate is about “dietary quality”, or the quality of the diet.

It is more important to think about what types of carbohydrates we eat in our diet than by paying attention to the number of carbohydrates because some sources of carbohydrates – such as vegetables (other than potatoes), fruits, whole grains, and lentils – are higher than other sources Are healthy
A plate of healthy food also tells people to stay away from sweet pies, which are full of ush, or “calories” – and usually have little nutrition.
A plate of healthy food encourages people to eat healthy “vegetable oil”, and there is no upper limit on the consumption of “fats” from healthy sources.

A God Who Hates Women : DR. MAJID RAFIZADEH

I had chosen to write about Dr. Majid Rafizadeh’s phenomenal novel  ‘  A God Who Hates Women’. It is a beautiful yet tragically moving story of a women caught in a patriarchal household. It takes us back to the times when women were seen as commodities sold off in markets. Choice was a word that women could not even imagine.

The story highlights the life of the authors mother, how she lived through oppression. This story forms around the background of a civil war. The novels throw light on the cruelties faced by  women in a patriarchal society. The story begins with a short background of how the authors grandmother was born. It later shows the birth of the authors mother which turned out to be a disgrace for her own mother, since she expected a baby boy. The story continues with the atrocities faced by his mother at her own home and how she was forcefully married to a man who abused her at all chances he got.  The story speaks mostly about the struggles faced by the authors mother in her journey. It shows the cruel side of patriarchy, how women carry it down more than men.

The book is set in the backdrop of a series of political tension in Syria and Iran. The author and his family have moved from Syria to Iran a couple of times and the book shows the difference in the culture in both the countries vividly. The book shows how much political leaders are influenced by religion and how they kill people cruelly who goes against them, the authors father was one such victim. Maybe the author might have also got the influence from his father, but in a much better way. The author was the founder of an organization on human rights which reported cases of human cruelty. The authors father has a very interesting character, he on one side focuses on how modern our thinking should be in various aspects of life except in the equal treatment of women. His character was rather paradoxical.

The name of the book also seems to bring out the story, about how the religion and its god were cruel to women. The people of the religion went to extreme ends to make sure that the rules of the religion are followed, sometimes inhumane practices were also used.

But one of the most important thing that the book has left out is that it hasn’t brought into consideration the larger issues faced by the people. The author has merely had an interview with the close members of his family and friends. And so we cannot really say that the book speaks about the whole of Syria. After certain parts of time in the book, it fails to show the feelings of Amira, the authors mother. How she felt about religion, her passion and how she lied to herself to live for her children. The authors life has been glossed over for most parts and it talks in the perspective of the author while the book was about his mother. More focus should have been given to her as well as the political conditions too.

Have stress and anxiety taken over your life: which Ayurveda can help

Hello readers I am the intern of HARYALI NGO and want to share the problem of stress and anxiety through this article. Have a read on this and get an idea to solve this problem.

Given the times we live in, stress and anxiety are even more common now. So we got an Ayurveda expert to share how you can deal with these problems.

The importance of harmony and mental equilibrium was well recognized by early Ayurvedic sages over two thousand years ago. Although chronic stress and anxiety may have had low prevalence in ancient India, grief and tragedy are an inescapable reality of the human condition. Thus, ancient Ayurvedic physicians were no strangers to depression, stress, and anxiety.

Stress in Ayurveda is viewed as a nervous system disturbance. The roots of this disturbance are found in the balance of natural energy or doshas that govern our physical and psychological traits. As vata plays a critical role in regulating the nervous system, it is imperative to understand your individual prakriti or balance of doshas to effectively manage stress.

Time to bring scientific rigour to the complex challenge of Ayurvedic medicine - Nature India

By and large, however, such disorders may be linked to a vitiation or aggravation of vata. This can be caused through high exposure to sensory stimulation, such as overeating, inadequate rest, and overworking.

It should be noted that although vata imbalances are commonly to blame for stress and anxiety, pitta and kapha doshas can also play a role depending on the individual’s constitution. While vata-dominant dosha types are most vulnerable to stress disorders, such as anxiety and fear, pitta types are more likely to manifest stress in angry outbursts and impulsive behaviour. Kapha types tend to manifest stress disorders in increased sluggishness, lethargy, and a general loss of interest in activities. These changes also give rise to physical ailments, with a greater likelihood of hypertension, high blood sugar levels, slow metabolism and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.

1. Pamper yourself with a rejuvenating Ayurvedic head massage
Ayurvedic Head massage is an ancient technique to alleviate stress and calm the mind. It involves massaging the pressure points with circular strokes that focus on your head and neck regions.

This ancient but effective technique promotes sleep, enhances the circulation of blood to the mind, and improves scalp and hair conditions. An Ayurvedic head massage also uses natural and warm oils like narayan taila and brahmi oil. These Ayurvedic oils settle the vitiated Vata in the body. Slightly warm the oil and massage it onto your head, shoulder, and neck regions before going to bed to relieve stress and promote sound sleep.

2. Engage your feel-good hormones with delicious stress-relieving foods
Eating the right foods at the right time plays a significant role in controlling your hormones. Following a healthy diet not only keeps your weight in check but also manages your state of mind.

A bowl of warm oatmeal, wholewheat bread and pasta, cereals, oranges, spinach, avocado, pistachios, almonds, vegetables, and black tea are food items to eat every day. These boost the serotonin levels and tame the release of cortisol and stress harmones. In all, avoid sugar, alcohol, and caffeine-rich foods.

3. Experience the magic of Ayurvedic herbs
Ayurveda suggests using medicinal herbs to fight the disorder naturally. Herbs like tulsi, ginger, ashwagandha, brahmi, and jatamansi are adaptogenic and offer neuro-protective benefits. Ashwagandha and brahmi are ancient treasures of nature that lower cortisol levels and enhance cognitive abilities.

4.De-stress with yoga
Ayurveda and yoga go hand in hand. In Ayurveda, we believe in a holistic lifestyle thus, exercising or indulging in any form of physical training expands the capacities and enhances the process of circulation of nutrients in the tissues.

TRAIN TO BUSAN :A MUST WATCH THRILLER

Train to Busan  is a 2016 South Korean action horror movie directed by Yeon Sang- ho and starring Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi and Ma Dong-Seok .The film mostly takes place on a train to Busan as a Zombie  suddenly breaks out in the country and threatens the safety of the passengers.

The film premiered in the Midnight Screenings section of the 2016 Cannes film festival on 13 May. On 7 August, the film set a record as the first Korean film of 2016 to break the audience record of over 10 million theatergoers. The film serves as a reunion for Gong Yoo and Jung Yu-mi, who both starred in the 2011 film The Crucible. A sequel, Peninsula , was released in South Korea on July 15, 2020.

Train to Busan' Review - Cannes Film Festival 2016 - Variety

Sok-woo, a father with not much time for his daughter, Soo-ahn, are boarding the KTX, a fast train that shall bring them from Seoul to Busan. But during their journey, the apocalypse begins, and most of the earth’s population become flesh craving zombies. While the KTX is shooting towards Busan, the passenger’s fight for their families and lives against the zombies – and each other.

Train to Busan brings absolutely nothing new to the zombie genre, but it shows that lack of novelty needn’t be a handicap at all. It has everything you’d expect in a zombie film: The close calls, the mass slaughters, the long chases. A lot of it is quite beautifully shot. A crucial shot of a self-sacrificing man is shown as a shadow… a dark figure of a man who, during the course of the film, manages to turn to light. The film is full of such delicious ironies. A man who isn’t allowed entry into a train compartment by another finds the tables turned later in the film. A homeless man, viewed throughout with suspicion by the other characters, is the reason two upper-class women survive. A woman who’s expecting a child is forced by circumstances to accept another. A girl whose singing falters on account of her father’s lack of support, sings her best when he’s gone forever. Such symmetry in writing doesn’t happen accidentally.

The film is more World War Z than Zombieland. It seeks to thrill; the laughs are very few, like the scene in which a man frustrated at the zombie’s rabid need to bite, shouts, “Are you crazy?!” I wish there had been more such moments, but what it lacks for in amusement, it makes up for in depth — a selfish man, for instance, is forced to destroy himself for a greater good — and some generic albeit sapid commentary on class struggle.

From very early on, when the security try to force out a homeless man from the train, there’s a strong thread of ‘us versus them’ that permeates the film’s universe. In another scene, a father and daughter try to use connections to save themselves, but are ill at ease to learn that the homeless man joins them. If it was their own, another person of their ilk, they probably wouldn’t have been. Towards the end, it even blows over into a full-scale struggle in which the people holed up in a compartment—the comfortable people—refuse to grant entry to another group, suspecting them to be potentially dangerous. So strong is their distaste for this other that they take great pains to lock the door blocking them first before turning their attention to the zombies. So deep runs this mistrust that even zombies seem like the lesser evil. It’s rather revealing that the biggest villain, and in a film that is full of blood-thirsty zombies no less, is a rich man who leads this group against the other.

The Syamantaka Jewel

It was a period of Dwapara Yuga(the 3rd Yuga out of the four). The yugas have their own history in the Hindu beliefs and extremely fascinating one. But today is the day for something else,The Syamantaka Jewel.

  • The story

It is said that the Dwapara Yuga was when Krsna, the supreme personality of godhead descended on the earth to destroy all of the evil entities. In the Hindu scriptures,Krsna is the supreme lord,he is the creator and he is the destroyer,he is the cause of all causes, not only on earth, but millions and trillions of such planet’s. He is the start and he is the end. The description of Lord

Krsna can go on and on. Many karmas were done by Krsna for the future generation to learn from it. To not repeat what happened during the war of Mahabharata, where ultimately,it all led to destruction. It can simply be described as, A platform where everyone one had his own reference of righteousness. We know many incidents of Mahabharata, the Pandavas, the Kauravas, but do we know about Yadu Vansha?

There were many interesting things which occured in the Yadu Vansh. One of them being the story of the Syamantaka Jewel.

It cannot be called as a ‘story’ more an ‘incident’ which happened during the Dwapara period, also known as the bronze age. The incident begins with a king whose name was Satrajit. King Satrajit was a huge devotee of Surya Dev(the Sun God). Surya Dev,being pleased with Satrajit, presented him with the Syamantaka Jewel. Syamantaka Jewel was the most exceptional jewel with a dazzling effulgence. When King Satrajit wore this jewel and went to Dwaraka,he appeared to be looking like the Sun God himself in the eyes of the people of Dwaraka. Now,the people of Dwaraka were feeling extremely proud that they were being visited by the demigods! Although they were not nearly as dazzled because they saw Lord Krsna everyday, who was the supreme of everything. However, the people of Dwaraka were delighted by the fact that the Sun God was visiting them. They went to Lord Krsna and offered their prayers to him, after which they said that the Sun God had come to visit him. Now,Lord Krsna being known to everything that happens everywhere already knew that the ‘sun God’ which the people of Dwaraka were talking about was actually the king Satrajit. But the king Satrajit had not come to visit Lord Krsna at all. He came to build a temple for the Syamantaka jewel ! According to  A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada’s book KRSNA,  Syamantaka jewel was exquisite and exceptional because it produced 170 pounds of gold everyday! It was also said that wherever the Syamantaka jewel resided, nobody in the vicinity would experience any bad omens like famine, drought etc. Due to all these properties of the Syamantaka jewel, the people started worshipping the jewel. This is the property of foolish people. Foolish people tend to devote themselves to a materialistic thing,or demigods to attain faster and greater results. This is what ‘materialists’ are called. Everyone must submit themselves to the supreme personality in the end. After doing all their karmas, everyone should surrender to Krsna. Because he is everything and nothing. There is no actual description of Krsna, which is why you can go on and on with your words but he would never be fully described. In the case of worshipping demigods, the soul purpose of your prayers should be the supreme Lord. Only then your soul attains Moksha. The supreme personality exists everywhere and nowhere. People who believe that any material would make them successful, then they might be wrong. You can worship yourself without any of the materialistic things. The only thing which you need is your soul which is solely devoted to Krsna. Krsna always tends to take away the materialistic things of his devotee and prevent him from being mis-leaded. The book also says that when you devote yourself to the supreme personality, you should not think of yourself as greater from the other people. For this,Krsna does things to bring his devotee to the right path. But Satrajit was blinded by the beauty of Syamantaka jewel. Krsna said to present the jewel to the king as the greater was always presented to the King. But Satrajit failed to do so.

One day, when his younger brother,Prasena who was roaming in the forest, was ‘attacked’ and ‘killed’ by a lion who took the jewel to his cave. Jāmbavān,(the son of Brahma, who was an immortal ‘sloth bear’ who appears both Ramayana and Mahabharata) ,who came to know about the jewel, killed the lion with his fists. He did not know what to do with the jewel and gave it to his child to play. Meanwhile, when Satrajit came to know that his brother had died,he was engulfed in grief. It was also rumoured that it was Krsna who had killed Prasena to obtain the Syamantaka jewel. Lord Krsna was extremely displeased by this false defamation and hence, went to the same forest with some members of Dwaraka to get the Syamantaka jewel. They came upon a cave, and Krsna said to the members to wait outside for him. He found the kid of Jāmbavān who was playing with the jewel. The maid got scared when Krsna approached them and immediately went to Jāmbavān. Jāmbavān who was actually a devotee of Lord Krsna from the period when Ramayana happened, but was blinded by his own boiling anger and therefore, could not make out whether it was his lord or not. He challenged Lord Krsna for a live combat. Lord Krsna was pleased by Jāmbavān and therefore have him the pleasure to combat with him, initially providing him with Moksha. The combat went on and on till Jāmbavān developed heavy amounts of perspiration. The combat went on for about 28 days, with nobody giving up,but Jāmbavān was very tired and his body was aching. This was when he realised that such a great person could be none other than Lord Krsna, and apologised with many prayers devoted to Krsna. Lord Krsna forgave him seeing how devoted he was to Lord Krsna. Jāmbavān apologised by giving his daughter (Jāmbavāti) for marriage.Upon asking the cause of his visit, Krsna described about  the events that had happened previously. Thus, Krsna returns to Dwaraka with his new wife,Jāmbavāti. The people of Dwaraka waited for Krishna for 12 days and upon not hearing anything, they returned to Dwaraka with extreme Greig and hollowness. Everybody was filled with despair, including the other wives of Krsna, the people etc. But when Krsna arrived at the place with his new wife, the whole place lit up with a burst of celebration! Krsna described  about the events which had occurred in the 28 days. After this incident,King Satrajit was extremely ashamed about his acts. Be came back to his senses and realised his mistake. He apologized to Lord Krsna with pleading prayers. He was filled with regret and therefore, gave his daughter (Satyabhama) along with the Syamantaka jewel to Krishna. Satyabhama was also said to be the most beautiful amongst the world.

Where does the Syamantaka jewel exist now? Nobody knows! Maybe it is  buried somewhere in a place of purity, maybe it was taken back by the gods,we just don’t know! And truth to be said, some mysteries are well of to remain as mysteries!

One can learn many things from this incident if you think deeply. At first you might think of the incident  a bit unusual. But the more you think about it,the more you learn from it!

Today, most corporations are characterized with online survival as it has become inevitable in the modern world. Electronic deals have been popular for quite some time in the form of Electronic Data Interchange.

Types of E-commerce

E-commerce has various categories. There are six major divisions of e-commerce, i.e. Business to Business (B2B) that is an e-commerce category, which entails all electronic transactions of goods and services conducted among businesses (Fernandes, 2014). Manufacturers and traditional commerce wholesalers stereotypically function using this category of e-commerce.

Business to Consumer (B2C) is an e-commerce platform that is popular for its formation of electronic business associations between commercial and eventual clients. It tallies to the merchandizing segment of electronic commerce, where customary retail trade usually functions. Business to Consumer affiliations are not only easier and more vibrant, but also more intermittent (Fernandes, 2014). This brand of commerce has grown progressively due to the emergence of a network, and the existing copious computer-generated outlets on the Internet, which sells all kinds of end user merchandises and services such as computers, footwear, books, vehicles, foodstuffs, monetary merchandises, digital periodicals, etc. The shoppers usually have access to more gen provided about informative content compared to shopping in the old-fashioned market (Fernandes, 2014). There is also a universal concept that buying via the internet is relatively cheaper, and it does not put in danger a personalized customer service. Business to Consumer e-commerce further warrants a quick processing and delivery of products.

Consumer to Consumer (C2C) e-commerce is a type that includes all electronic transactions of goods and services carried out by users (Laudon & Laudon, 2010). As a rule, such deals are made by the third parties. E-commerce provides an online platform specifically where these transactions will be carried out.

Consumer to Business (C2B) is an e-commerce category that offers a complete reverse of the traditional approach to buying and selling of goods and services. This form of e-commerce is commonly used in a multitude of funded projects (Laudon & Laudon, 2010). A wide range of people make their products available for procurement to companies precisely seeking the products they are offering. The key illustrations of C2B deals include the websites where inventers provide numerous suggestions for a corporation insignia. Eventually, just one emblem is chosen and efficiently procured. Another platform is the arcades that trade free royalty pictures, imageries, and designs (Fernandes, 2014).

Business to Administration (B2A) is the type of e-commerce that embraces all online transactions carried out by corporations and public administration (Fernandes, 2014). B2A e-commerce provides significant services in such areas as the pecuniary sector, societal security, business operations, lawful documents, catalogues, etc. This e-commerce platform has grown briskly over the years with significant investments made in the e-government.

Consumer to Administration (C2A) is an e-commerce platform that embroils all automated businesses owned by individuals and the government (Laudon & Laudon, 2010). The Consumer to Administration contracts include educational applications that involve the dissemination of information over the internet and distance learning that allows students from all over the world to gain knowledge in different educational centers across the globe without physically attending classes in the given institution. Another application is the social security where this type of e-commerce is evidenced through the distribution of information of the social security holder and their beneficiaries. Making payments to the social security accounts can also be done online (Fernandes, 2014). Taxes are another C2A application where filing of tax returns and making payments have been simplified hence making governments collect more revenues as this platform closes all the tax evasion loopholes. C2A e-commerce has also enabled the advancement of the health sector as patients can now make online appointments with their doctors. This is convenient as patients do not have to physically visit the doctors’ offices to make appointments. The information about the patients can also be stored online to avoid excessive paperwork. Patients can also pay for their treatment online (Fernandes, 2014).

ADVANTAGES OF E- COMMERCE:

E-Commerce is the easiest and the quickest way to boost up the business. E-commerce is gratifying the just alternative and electronic mail is a computer application which transmits the messages to the email boxes of other people using data communication which is called as email. There are a lot of internet sites which provide free email services related to the E-Commerce and business to the internet users and the customers. Computer softwares are used to promote the Electronic business. The computer softwares refer to the collective set of instructions called programs that can be interpreted by the business computers and cannot be touched by the human. The program causes the computer to perform desired functions such as flight simulation, the generation of business graphics or word processing. Following re the basic types of business software:

  • System Software
  • Application Software
  • Utility Programs

Whereas an operating system is an integrated set of programs that is used to manage the various resources and overall operations of a business. T s designed to support the activities of a computer installation. Its primary objective is to improve the performance and efficiency of a computer system and increase facility and ease with a system can be used. It also makes computer system user friendly. Business operating systems are used by many of business computers at this era. It is necessary to convert the instructions of a program written in high level language to machine instructions before the program can be executed by the computer. A complier carries out this business job. Thus a complier is a translating program that translates the instructions of a high level language into machine language. A complier is called as business complier because the complier a set of business activities for every program instruction of a high level instruction. For example, FORTAN complier is only capable of translating source programs which have been written in FORTAN, and therefore each requires a separate complier for each high level language. While interpreter is another type of business high level languages into machine codes. It takes one statement of a high level language and translates it into a machine instruction which is a useful technique for the business.

DISADVANTAGES:

E-Business is only dependent to the internet based advertisement and business which is a big drawback for the specific company in those cities where the people are not too much educated and then those people cannot access the internet and computer media. This factor can be a big loss for the company and its business. Some of the internet sites are charging too much from the customers and therefore customers and clients feel hesitation to go and view for those sites and this creates a major hindrance to enhance and boost up the business and the trade of the company. E-Business s not too much useful for the illiterate people and thus those people remain unaware by the policies and strategies of the big and well named companies. No doubt, E-Business has many advantages for the company and the trade for the company but we cannot neglect the disadvantages of the E-Business.

E-commerce is for effluent society i.e. why population in USA use is 50%, in Europe 13 percentage, in poor countries only 1-2 percent and in some countries it is negligible. Thus e-commerce is for classes and not for masses.

Importance of Brand Equity.

Brand equity means the value of your brand. How much your brand isreferred by your customer. How much trust your customer have in your brand. Will your customer choose your brand even having choice of other brands. Will your customer buy your product even if you charge more than your locompetitors. If question for all these questions is yes. That means you have a very good brand equity. Your brand is the king of your domain but if the answer of these questions is NO. It is a matter of concern.

Establishing the Brand equity and Maintaining Brand equity are two different things. They both requires different strategy. If you are a startup or a new comer you should focus on establishing your brand equity. Try to acquire more and more customers and satisfy them to your best. They will automatically become your unpaid promoters. They will refer you to others. In initial stage. don’t focus on making more profit just keep acquiring customers and become a well known name in your market. Once you are established and having enough trust among your customers then slightly start increasing your price. This very crucial make sure your customers have genuine trust in your brand and they are okay to pay more for it or come up with a new product with increased price.

MARKETING IS TELLING SOMEONE TO BUY YOUR PRODUCT AND IS THE REASON FOR THEM TO BUY

If you are a established firm. Then obviously you to focus on maintaining your Brand equity. There is always a chance that a new comer can capture your market. Maybe be your competitor can come up with very cheap substitute for your product . What you will do in this condition? Either compromise on gross margin or plan your marketing strategy in such a way that you can convince your customer that you are best and providing best value for what they pay. For example there are very cheap mobiles available but still apple remains the premium brand because they have that brand equity and brand value among customers.

Lala Lajpat Rai

The Indian liberty fighter Lala Lajpat Rai. In the Independence Movement, he played a crucial role. Punjab Kesari was popularly regarded. He was one of the 3 triumvirate of Lal Bal Pal. In its initial stages in 1894, he was also affiliated with Punjab National Bank and the Lakshmi Insurance Company.

Lajpat Rai was born in Dhudike on January 28 1865 in a jain family.

In the late 1870s his father had been moved to the Rewari Higher School in the Rewari province of Punjab, where his father was appointed an Urdu teacher. During Rai’s early years, his father and profoundly religious mother, respectively, influenced Rai’s liberal view and belief in Hinduism, effectively implementing it to establish a political and journalistic career in the reform of religion and Indian politics. In 1880, Lajpat Rai entered the Lahore Government College to study Law and became in contact with patriots, such as Lala Hans Raj and Pandit Guru Dutt, and future freedom defenders. During his study in Lahore, he became a member of the current Arya Samaj Lahore and the founding editor of the Lahore-based Arya Gazette, inspired by the Hinduism reformist movements of Swami Dayanand Saraswaati. When he studied law, he believed strongly that Hinduism was the fundamental point on which an Indian lifestyle was to be founded, above nationality. He thought Hinduism leading to peaceful practises for humanity and the concept that a secular nation could be created by incorporating nationalist ideas to this peaceful belief system. His association with Hindu Mahasabha leaders was criticised in a way that is non-secular by Naujawan Bharat Sabha and that was not in line with the Indian National Congress framework. In the end, this emphasis on Hindu tradition in this subcontinent will lead him to continue peaceful protests for the independence of Indians.

In May 1907 Lala Lajpat Rai was deported to Mandalay, Burma without trial following a departure from the Indian National Congress and political unrest in Punjab.

But in November, when Lord Minto, the viceroy, concluded it was difficult to prove him subversive in ample ways. The supporters of Lajpat Rai tried in December 1907 to secure his election for chair of Surat, but he was unsuccessful.

Bhagat Singh was an alterative of British institutions to the National College, which he established in the Bradlaugh Hall in Lahore. At the 1920 Special Session in Calcutta, he was elected President of the Indian National Congress. He founded Servants of the People’s Society in Lahore in 1921, which moved its base after partition to Delhi and has branches in many regions of India. in 1921 he formed the People Society. According to him, Hindu society must fight against a caste system, women’s position and untouchability in its own right. Vedas were an important part of the Hindu faith, but they could not be read by the lower caste.

Lajpat Rai went on a tour of Sikh villages along America’s West Coast, visited Tuskegee University in Alabama and met the Philippines’ employees in 1917 and returned to the U.S, then during the First World War. His travels, The USA, documents these journeys and includes detailed quotes by leading African American intellectuals such as W.E.B. Du Bois and Fredrick Douglass. He created the Indian Home Rule League in New York as well as a monthly newspaper Young India and Hindustan Information Services. He had petitioned the Senate of the US Parliament’s foreign affairs committee to send a vivid pictorial of British Raj’s mismanagement in India and the Indian people’s aspirations for democracy, among several other points, for moral support for India’s independence. The 32-page petition was debated in the U.S. overnight.

The British government formed the Commission in 1928, led by Sir John Simon, to report on India’s political situation. The Indian political parties boycotted the Commission because it did not have one Indian and had national protests. On 30 October 1928, when the Commission visited Lahore, Lajpat Rai led a non-violent march in protest. The demonstrators sang “Simon is going back” and wore black flags.

On 17 November 1928 he died. He did not recover from his injuries. Doctors claimed Scott’s blows had prolonged his death. The British government, however, denied any involvement in Rai ‘s death when the matter was discussed in the British Parliament. While Bhagat Singh did not withip the case, he pledged to take vengeance because the murder was a major freedom movement leader. In his attempting to kill Scott he carried a message to British Raj, Shivaram Rajguru, Sukhdev Thapar and Chandrashekhar Azad. Bhagat Singh was ordered to shoot John P. Saunders, the assistant police superintendent, on his apparition, in the case of an erroneous identity. On 17 December 1928, when he left Lahore’s District Police Head office, he was shot by Rajguru and Bhagat Singh. Azad ‘s cover fire fatally wounded Chanan Singh, a lead constable who was pursuing them.

This case did not deter the revenge of Bhagat Singh and his Hindustan Socialist Republican Association supporters.

PHOENIX : Greek Mythology

A phoenix is a mythological bird that cyclically regenerates or is otherwise born again. Associated with fire and the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor. Some legends say it dies in a show of flames and combustion, others that it simply dies and decomposes before being born again. Most accounts say that it lived for 500 years before rebirth. Herodotus, Lucan, Pliny the Elder, Pope Clement I, Lactantius, Ovid, and Isidore of Seville are among those who have contributed to the retelling and transmission of the phoenix motif. The phoenix symbolized renewal in general, as well as entities and concepts such as the Sun, time, the Roman Empire, Christ, Mary, and virginity.

The phoenix is best known as a being of Greek mythology, but has analogues in other traditions: including the Hindu garuda and bherunda, the Russian firebird, the Persian simorgh, the Georgian paskunji, the Arabian anqa , the Turkic Konrul, also called Zümrüdü Anka, the Tibetan Me byi karmo, the Chinese Fenghuang and zhu que, and the Japanese hō-ō .

The phoenix myth is also part of early Christian traditions. Some scholars have speculated that these early phoenix legends may have their origins in the bennu of Egyptian mythology. In the 19th century, scholastic suspicions appeared to be confirmed by the discovery that Egyptians in Heliopolis had venerated the bennu. However, the Egyptian sources regarding the bennu are often problematic and open to a variety of interpretations. Some of these sources may have actually been influenced by Greek notions of the phoenix, rather than the other way around.

Classical discourse on the subject of the phoenix points to a potential origin of the phoenix in Ancient Egypt. Herodotus, writing in the 5th century BC, gives a somewhat skeptical account of the phoenix.

To Appear:

The phoenix is sometimes pictured in ancient and medieval literature and medieval art as endowed with a halo, which emphasizes the bird’s connection with the Sun. In the oldest images of phoenixes on record these nimbuses often have seven rays, like Helios (the Greek personification of the Sun). Pliny the Elder also describes the bird as having a crest of feathers on its head, and Ezekiel the Dramatist compared it to a rooster.

Although the phoenix was generally believed to be colorful and vibrant, sources provide no clear consensus about its coloration. Tacitus says that its color made it stand out from all other birds. Some said that the bird had peacock-like coloring, and Herodotus’s claim of the Phoenix being red and yellow is popular in many versions of the story on record. Ezekiel the Dramatist declared that the phoenix had red legs and striking yellow eyes, but Lactantius said that its eyes were blue like sapphires and that its legs were covered in yellow-gold scales with rose-colored talons.

Herodotus, Pliny, Solinus, and Philostratus describe the phoenix as similar in size to an eagle, but Lactantius and Ezekiel the Dramatist both claim that the phoenix was larger, with Lactantius declaring that it was even larger than an ostrich.

How to overcome your inner ego?

It is good to realize that you are. But increasing that feeling to such an extent that nothing else is remembered creates problems. We are unable to accept that we too can be wrong. Then we start making ourselves the centre of everything. It is not easy to stop the roots of your ego from spreading.

Have you ever wondered why some people are so bitter, or why they go out of your life without any reason? Have you ever wondered why all the wars fought in the last thousand years started? Even some wars were quite terrible. Do not know how many lives were lost in them. And have you ever thought about all the crimes that are killing millions of people? Whether at stake, friendship or war or crime, they all start from the same common source, which is, our ego. It is very difficult for us to leave it. We have to liberate ourselves from this ego in reality. But for this, the most important thing is to understand what the ego is. Why should we assume that sometimes we can be wrong? If you find answers to these questions, then believe that your life will become more enjoyable.

What is ego?

This word of three letters is like the devil sitting on our shoulder, about whom we have always been reading. This is your alternate version, which nurtures all your insecurities, fears, hatred and perception. It is the antithesis of what is right for you. It is the enemy of your heroism. It is darkness for your light.

Arrogance is, in reality, an immature, crying, and loud-shouting child. We all have it. It does not go far from us. The best way to deal with it is to try to calm it down. Doing so has also been the core of many religions, especially in the philosophies of eastern countries. However, few lucky people are able to achieve such feats as pushing the ego beyond. To be honest, to follow their path and to achieve success in today’s era, our intelligence will hardly be said. Then we have to live a life that most people will not be ready to live. Therefore, the better option is to make ourselves worthy that when the ego becomes bigger, then we can feel it ourselves and work with sincerity towards calming it down. We can move forward step by step in this work, although for this we have to make ourselves serious so that we can know what is the reason for ego ?.

When and where do you find your ego

Ego is everywhere. It is constantly expanding. Like, arrogance is the reason that you take everything personally. Due to ego, you harm the person in front of the relationship-breakdown. Because of your ego, you start bothering your car by standing in front of it even if it is difficult for some other car on the road. Due to ego, we do not accept our fault, it is due to the ego that we treat others harshly. That is why we do not like our failure or defiance. Obviously, this list of ego is quite long. Every day we have to deal with all such situations when we express our reaction in many ways. Unfortunately, in most of these cases, our ego comes in the way. Then, when the circumstances are no longer under our control or they go against us, then we immediately feel unlucky and we start blaming it on other people. It is a sick mentality, which is constantly expanding. Many other people can also take advantage of this. Nevertheless, we do not want to change this mindset.

Keep yourself disciplined

I have no objection to accepting that when I am wrong, I hate myself. I am probably the first person to believe this. Not only that, even when I am denied, I still hate. I also hate failure at one point and I like to avoid it as long as I can. I am afraid of these things because they will not make me feel good. I believe that such human feelings never cease. Some always remain. But I am also the first person in this matter, who controls his ego. Due to enough work and constant meditation on myself, I can tell the exact moment when my ego shows up.

Admit your mistake

I also know very well that when I am unable to take any specific step due to excessive fear. Is it easy to do? Can your ego be overcome by just feeling something? Sorry, this will not happen. Then I will become a resident of the Tophet, and it will be impossible to calm the beloved devil on my shoulder. I am sure you must be feeling the same way. But the first step towards atonement or solution to this problem is to accept your mistakes. I have tried to accept my shortcomings. You should also try to do the same.
At last, Say ‘Go’ to Ego.

Poverty in India

Poverty is not having enough material possessions or income for a person’s needs. Poverty may include social, economic, and political elements. Absolute poverty is the complete lack of the means necessary to meet basic personal needs, such as food, clothing, and shelter. The threshold at which absolute poverty is defined is always about the same, independent of the person’s permanent location or era. On the other hand, relative poverty occurs when a person cannot meet a minimum level of living standards, compared to others in the same time and place. Therefore, the threshold at which relative poverty is defined varies from one country to another, or from one society to another. A person who cannot afford housing better than a small tent in an open field would be said to live in relative poverty if almost everyone else in that area lives in modern brick homes, but not if everyone else also lives in small tents in open fields.

Many governments and non-governmental organizations try to reduce poverty by providing basic needs to people who are unable to earn a sufficient income. These efforts can be hampered by constraints on government’s ability to deliver services, such as corruption, tax avoidance, debt and loan conditionals and by the brain drain of health care and educational professionals. Strategies of increasing income to make basic needs more affordable typically include welfare, economic freedoms and providing financial services. Meanwhile, the poorest citizens of middle-income countries have largely failed to receive an adequate share of their countries’ increased wealth.

In India :

As India is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, poverty is on the decline in the country, with close to 44 Indians escaping extreme poverty every minute, as per the World Poverty Clock. India had 73 million people living in extreme poverty which makes up 5.5% of its total population, according to the Brookings report. In May 2012, the World Bank reviewed and proposed revisions to their poverty calculation methodology and purchasing power parity basis for measuring poverty worldwide. It was a minimal 3.6% in terms of percentage. As of 2020, the incidence of multidimensional poverty has significantly reduced, declining from 54.7 percent to 6 percent.

The 19th century and early 20th century saw increasing poverty in India during the colonial era. Over this period, the colonial government de-industrialized India by reducing garments and other finished products manufactured by artisans in India. Instead, they imported these products from Britain’s expanding industry due to the many industrial innovations of the 19th century. Additionally, the government simultaneously encouraged the conversion of more land into farms and more agricultural exports from India. Eastern regions of India along the Ganges river plains, such as those now known as eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal, were dedicated to producing poppy and opium. These items were then exported to southeast and east Asia, particularly China. The East India Company initially held an exclusive monopoly over these exports, and the colonial British institutions later did so as well. The economic importance of this shift from industry to agriculture in India was large; by 1850, it created nearly 1,000 square kilo-meters of poppy farms India’s fertile Ganges plains. This consequently led to two opium wars in Asia, with the second opium war fought between 1856 and 1860. After China agreed to be a part of the opium trade, the colonial government dedicated more land exclusively to poppy. The opium agriculture in India rose from 1850 through 1900, when over 500,000 acres of the most fertile Ganges basin farms were devoted to poppy cultivation. Additionally, opium processing factories owned by colonial officials were expanded in Benares and Patna, and shipping expanded from Bengal to the ports of East Asia such as Hong Kong, all under exclusive monopoly of the British. By the early 20th century, 3 out of 4 Indians were employed in agriculture, famines were common, and food consumption per capita declined in every decade. In London, the late 19th century British parliament debated the repeated incidence of famines in India, and the impoverishment of Indians due to this diversion of agriculture land from growing food staples to growing poppy for opium export under orders of the colonial British empire.

Another Expert Group was instituted in 1993, chaired by Lakdawala, to examine poverty line for India. It recommended that regional economic differences are large enough that poverty lines should be calculated for each state. From then on, a standard list of commodities were drawn up and priced in each state of the nation, using 1973–74 as a base year. This basket of goods could then be re-priced each year and comparisons made between regions. The Government of India began using a modified version of this method of calculating the poverty line in India.

There are wide variations in India’s poverty estimates for 1990s, in part from differences in the methodology and in the small sample surveys they poll for the underlying data. A 2007 report for example, using data for late 1990s, stated that 77% of Indians lived on less than ₹ 20 a day. In contrast, S G Datt estimated India’s national poverty rate to be 35% in 1994, at India’s then official poverty line of Rs.49 per capita, with consumer price index adjusted to June 1974 rural prices.

The Poverty in India is to be controlled using various techniques. Economic growth is to be increased so as to reduce the problem of Poverty in India. Agriculture is to be given importance in the country. This has been the main problem of poverty in India. Giving importance to agriculture improvises the economical benefits to the country.

Giving up isn’t a Choice, it’s a Compromise

In life everybody has their own struggles, their own circumstances and their unique life stories. All across the globe, there are 7.8 billion people who are entirely different from each other with just totally different lives, mindsets and different approaches for peace in life. Some people smoke whereas some don’t, some people do their own business whereas others go for a job, some people think like they should work whereas some don’t, and some people try whereas some, they just make compromises in life. Compromises because of harsh and difficult situations in life and some compromises are made just because of the fear of not getting successful.

In life there are different types of problems, problem of everyday food for the needy people. problem of shelter in adverse seasons for the homeless people, problem of being raised in an orphanage where the nurses beat you, problem of living with your relatives who are just so bad, problem of not getting your desired stream in higher studies, problem of sitting at home without a job, problems of not getting the love that you actually deserve, problem of not getting the love of your life, problem of doing a job which is not as per your likings and expectations and many more problems of different types in different peoples’ lives.

Some people always get scared when trying something which their heart says. Some people think about the society, the relatives’ reaction when they’ll listen of this and also there are some people who think that they are simply physically or mentally incapable of doing the desired work or the task which the heart always thought of.

Each day comes with 24 hours in it. The same morning, the same afternoon and the same night but there’s just one difference of surroundings. A person might be sitting and reading this article of mine in an Air Conditioned room with his belly filled with all the food he likes, whereas the other person who might be sitting in a somewhat uncomfortable surroundings with an empty stomach or a food that he or she don’t likes. But most of the things are literally the same. Now how to make these differences equal and who will make these differences equal?

The answer is ‘YOU’. Oh c’mon yes you are the one who is going to make a change. Change not for others but for self first . It is well known to everyone that an individual who is himself r herself in a good state or condition is actually the person in a much better position to make a change. Now one person will argue by saying that we must not be selfish and should think about society first. But as per the author of this article, it’s believed that do for yourself first. Try to come in a better position so that you are physically, mentally and financially in a position to help the needy ones.

Just try, try and try, each day and each moment. Giving up has always been the easiest task in the lives of human beings and due to which most of the people just live an average life and at the death bed realize that they should have at least tried that thing in life at that particular point of time at that moment. It is a known fact that every desire of the heart won’t get fulfill. But regretting at a later stage is worse than anything.

So, in life try everyday and every hour and every minute. Have faith in yourself and get back to it immediately and say ‘NO’ to everything else that takes you away from your goal. Admire your friends, your family members and your loved ones when they achieve their desired pedestal in life.

Keep trying each day and each moment.

This endless ocean of uncertainty will come to an end and you will approach your desired island of peace and self satisfaction”.

Indian Agriculture!…

India has always been a prominent name in the field of agriculture. Indian economy, GDP and even politics revolve around farmers and agriculture. Though the world feels India as an agro nation, in fact, farmers are the one who struggles the most to get their rights.
India falls into the hot zone of the earth’s atmosphere. Farmers have to fight with nature in every season. It is like a dead investment. They don’t even know if they would get anything in return or not. All their efforts and investments are totally based on how nature will respond. But still, they do it. Just for the sake of humanity and to feed people, they do it. They work hard on the farm, no matter what season, they stay there working all day long. They prepare the land for farming, sow seeds in it and then wait for the rain. After the crop is grown fully, they harvest it and take it to the market. But in the market, we people don’t even value their efforts and make them sell it a very lower price than they actually deserve. In the mall, we don’t even check the price tag before buying anything, forget about bargaining. But while buying vegetables, we hesitate for just 10-20 rupees of their right.
Indian farmers don’t even get returns equal to their investments. Profit is a myth for farmers. Every political party promises to do good for farmers before the election, but when in rule nobody even bothers about the farmers. Even the media take farmer suicide as just casual news. We live because of them. Just imagine a day if farmers decide not to grow anything. We all will starve. So to avoid that day, we should respect the farmers of our nation.
Agriculture is given a last preference by the young generation. We’ve developed a negative vibe for agriculture that you need to work hard and there’s no guarantee of returns. It is a volatile profession and much before. But the fact is, despite all the hardships farmers face in India, there are few farmers who modernised their agriculture techniques and now earning well. With the upgradations in the farming techniques and planting new and hybrid varieties, few farmers are making money well. This change even made the customers change a bit. Now customers demand the fresh vegetables at whatever price farmer wish. Few remain in the waiting list just to get good quality products. This change can be made into a mass level if youth enters into the field of agriculture. Government and agricultural organisations need to educate youth to choose agriculture as a profession. Indians have been driving the world for a long time. Let’s make it big even in the field of agriculture taking young minds together!…
