  • Oxides of Nitrogen can cause fading of cotton and Rayon fibres.

Effect on environment

  • Visibility
  • Pollutants in the presence of Sunlight produce photochemical smog.
  • Emission of greenhouse gases tends to global warming.
  • Chlorofluorocarbons carbons also cause Ozone layer depletion.

The phenomenon of trapping and reradiating heat by greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is referred to Greenhouse effect.

  • Natural greenhouse effect keep Earth warm .
  • Global mean temperature of earth is + 15 degree Celsius.
  • Water vapour, CO2, H2O, CH4, ozone and cfcs present in minute quantities but maintain the temperature of Earth.
  • In the absence of greenhouse gases, the temperature of earth would be much lower than – 20 degree Celsius.

Enhanced greenhouse effect means global warming.

Obsessed with OCD

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a disorder in which people have recurring, unwanted thoughts, ideas or sensations (obsessions) that make them feel driven to do something repetitively (compulsions). The repetitive behaviours, such as hand washing, checking on things or cleaning, can significantly interfere with a person’s daily activities and social interactions.

The English term obsessive-compulsive arose as a translation of the German word Zwangsvorstellung meaning ‘obsession’. The term was used in the first conceptions of OCD by Carl Westphal. Westphal’s description went on to influence Pierre Janet, who further documented features of OCD.

In the early 1910s, Sigmund Freud attributed obsessive–compulsive behaviour to unconscious conflicts that manifest as symptoms. Freud describes the clinical history of a typical case of “touching phobia” as starting in early childhood, when the person has a strong desire to touch an item. In response, the person develops an “external prohibition” against this type of touching. However, this “prohibition does not succeed in abolishing” the desire to touch; all it can do is repress the desire and “force it into the unconscious”. Freudian psychoanalysis remained the dominant treatment for OCD until the mid-1980s, even though medicinal and therapeutic treatments were known and available, because it was widely thought that these treatments would be detrimental to the effectiveness of the psychotherapy. In the mid-1980s, this approach changed and practitioners began treating OCD primarily with medicine and practical therapy rather than through psychoanalysis.

From the 14th to the 16th century in Europe, it was believed that people who experienced blasphemous or other obsessive thoughts were possessed by the devil. Based on this reasoning, treatment involved banishing the “evil” from the “possessed” person through exorcism. The vast majority of people who thought that they were possessed by the devil did not suffer from hallucinations or other “spectacular symptoms” but “complained of anxiety, religious fears, and evil thoughts.” In 1584, a woman from Kent, England, named Mrs. Davie, described by a justice of the peace as “a good wife”, was nearly burned at the stake after she confessed that she experienced constant, unwanted urges to murder her family.

What exactly are obsessions and compulsions?

Obsessions are thoughts, images or impulses that occur over and over again and feel outside of the person’s control. Individuals with OCD do not want to have these thoughts and find them disturbing. In most cases, people with OCD realize that these thoughts don’t make any sense.  Obsessions are typically accompanied by intense and uncomfortable feelings such as fear, disgust, doubt, or a feeling that things have to be done in a way that is “just right.” In the context of OCD, obsessions are time consuming and get in the way of important activities the person values. This is extremely important to keep in mind as it, in part, determines whether someone has OCD — a psychological disorder — rather than an obsessive personality trait.

Compulsions are the second part of obsessive-compulsive disorder. These are repetitive behaviours or thoughts that a person uses with the intention of neutralizing, counteracting, or making their obsessions go away. People with OCD realize this is only a temporary solution but without a better way to cope they rely on the compulsion as a temporary escape. Compulsions can also include avoiding situations that trigger obsessions. Compulsions are time consuming and get in the way of important activities the person values.

Treatments include:

There’s no cure for OCD. But it may be able to manage how the symptoms affect your life through medicine, therapy, or a combination of treatments.

  • Psychotherapy: Cognitive behavioural therapy can help change the thinking patterns. In a form called exposure and response prevention, the doctor will put you in a situation designed to create anxiety or set off compulsions. The patient will learn to lessen and then stop their OCD thoughts or actions.
  • Relaxation: Simple things like meditation, yoga, and massage can help with stressful OCD symptoms.
  • Neuromodulation: In rare cases, when therapy and medication aren’t making enough of a difference, the doctor might suggest devices that change the electrical activity in a certain area of your brain. One kind is transcranial magnetic stimulation. It uses magnetic fields to stimulate the nerve cells. A more complicated procedure, deep brain stimulation, uses electrodes that are implanted in your head.
  • TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation).  This unit is a non-invasive device that is held above the head to induce the magnetic field. It targets a specific part of the brain that regulates OCD symptoms.

Notable people with OCD

British poet, essayist and lexicographer Samuel Johnson (1709–1784) also suffered from OCD. He had elaborate rituals for crossing the thresholds of doorways, and repeatedly walked up and down staircases counting the steps. He would touch every post on the street as he walked past, only step in the middles of paving stones, and repeatedly perform tasks as though they had not been done properly the first time.

The American aviator and filmmaker Howard Hughes (1905-1976) was known to have OCD. Friends of Hughes have also mentioned his obsession with minor flaws in clothing.

Taxation of the Rich

On July 20, 2021, the world’s richest man: Jeff Bezos flew to space alongside his brother Mark Bezos. The suborbital flight lasted over 10 minutes, reaching a peak altitude of 66.5 miles (107.0 km). The flight qualified him as an FAA commercial astronaut. It is estimated that this short flight cost Bezos $10-20 million, a mere drop in the bucket for the Amazon CEO who is reported to have a net worth of $177 billion. This minimal cost which only lifted a short flight could have lifted the burden of those struggling in the world. This brings up the question: Should the rich be taxed more?

But first what do we mean when we talk about “the rich”?

These are:

  • The well-off: About 9% of the households in the U.S. have income greater than $200,000, and they get almost 45% of all pre-tax income, according to the Tax Policy Centre.
  • The really rich: the top 0.4% of households—have incomes above $1 million a year and get 13% of all pre-tax income. Since the 1980s, those at the very top have enjoyed faster growing incomes than the rest of America. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the best-off 1% of American households (average annual income $1.8 million in 2016) saw their inflation-adjust incomes before taxes nearly triple between 1979 and 2016; the next best-off 9% saw theirs grow by 75% while everyone else saw their pre-tax incomes rise by 33%.

The talk of tax rises is common — and there is a growing appetite for taxing the wealthy, which has been out of favour since the 1970s. In the US, the Democrats control all three branches of the federal government for the first time since the early Obama years. The Biden administration is planning the first major tax hike since 1993, which will include higher taxes on higher earners. The COVID-19 pandemic has ravaged the economy, and the high unemployment and extremely low interest rates provide ample justification for budget deficits. Still, in the years ahead, many feels that the U.S. government needs more revenue, in order to fund urgent fiscal priorities such as infrastructure, healthcare and education. As policy-makers search for new revenues, those at the top of the income distribution are natural targets for tax increases, since their incomes have grown the most rapidly in recent decades.

Several Democratic presidential candidates propose to raise taxes on the rich to raise money both to pay for their spending agenda and to reduce income inequality. They argue that the people who have benefited the most should bear the burden of the cost of programs that help the rest of the population. In light of the widening gap between economic winners and losers, they would use the tax code to reduce inequality more aggressively than today’s tax code does, and they devote some of the revenues to fund programs that benefit those less well-off. They also point out that the average tax rate paid by people at the top has fallen.

The arguments against progressive taxes on wealthier people are well-known: tax people less and you incentivise wealth creation. You prevent wealthy people from becoming tax exiles and stop money fleeing offshore; if you give the rich more, they spend more and everyone is richer. A related issue is the idea, that philanthropy from the rich can replace some of the work of taxation. An example is the Gates Foundation, which has given away more than $50bn since its inception. Yet, philanthropy as a substitute for government spending brings its own problems. One is that billionaires can choose their causes in a way that governments cannot. Philanthropy tends to benefit causes such as the arts and the environment over ones such as alleviating poverty and poor health. A further problem here is that allowing philanthropy to take over from taxation is another way of ceding power from the state to the wealthy whose influence is already cause for concern.

Senator Bernie Sanders described it as: “What kind of nation are we when we give tax breaks to billionaires, but we can’t take care of the elderly and the children.” Will the rich be taxed or will they continue basking in their well of wealth without a care in the world?

RCN To Be Dilisted

Ripio credit network commonly known as RCN is a digital currency that aims to build an “open global credit network that connects lenders and borrowers on the Ethereum blockchain to create frictionless, transparent and borderless debt markets.”

Once the coin which enjoyed a market cap of nine million dollars is now facing the misfortune of being delisted from crypto exchanges.
Firstly Binance the giant crypto exchange barred RCN from trading from 16 July 2021.
And now, CoinSwitch Kubar one of India’s exchange latched RCN trade.

What happens when crypto is delisted?

When a digital currency is delisted it simply means that buying and selling of the particular coin will not take place on the platform from a given date.
In such a scenario person is stuck with that currency as he/ she won’t have any alternative except keeping coins in the wallet or selling it before due date.

ZODIAC SHAMING

If you’re the type of person who thinks astrology is garbage, this entire line of thinking is your personal hell. It’s bad enough that people believe their personalities are based on the planetary alignment at the time of their birth. Now they’re casting off whole groups of people based on that same deranged paradigm? If you’re the type of person who thinks astrology is garbage, this entire line of thinking is your personal hell. It’s bad enough that people believe their personalities are based on the planetary alignment at the time of their birth. Now they’re casting off whole groups of people based on that same deranged paradigm? In China, zodiac discrimination is a well-documented problem. A 2017 study found that 4.3 percent of college students surveyed reported suffering employment-based discrimination because of their astrological sign (Western and/or Chinese). Constellation-based recruitment has its own entry in Baidu Baiku, otherwise known as Chinese Wikipedia. Close to 30 percent of Americans now believe in astrology, a number that’s been rising steadily. Who knows how long it’ll take before zodiac discrimination becomes an institutionalized problem here?

Not all forms of labelling or grouping are bad. You can still use the zodiac to make judgements about people, R but they should be holistic, non-prescriptive observations — ones that take people’s whole selves into account. Instead of writing people off because they’re Scorpios or Geminis. People are their sign, but they’re also far more than their sign. Behavior exists on a spectrum. Just because Virgos are thought of as anal doesn’t mean they all want a vacuum cleaner for Christmas. Writing anyone off without taking time to know them isn’t just unethical, it’s a boring way to live. Obviously discrimination based on, say, racial lines, is far more pronounced in society, not to mention negative. Most astrology signs don’t outright call people stupid or lazy, though they do imply weaknesses and temperent as well as strengths. But both are arbitrary categorizations for personality that utterly lack evidence or rationale. If you believe in astrology, and truly believe that the month someone was born in determines their personality, you are prejudging people based on when their birthday is. And as ridiculous as that sounds, there are still people who pay money to see their horoscopes and make life decisions based on them, including having their perspective and behavior toward others adjust based on each person’s signs. The basic premise of astrology is that people who were born at certain times and places share distinguishing personality characteristics. Libras, for example, are said to be diplomatic, refined, idealistic, and sociable; Capricorns are responsible, disciplined, hard-working, demanding, and so on. Tens of millions of people know something about their sun signs and read their daily horoscopes. There are some interesting parallels between racism and astrology. For one thing, in both cases a person is being judged by factors beyond their control. Just as a person has no control over his or her race or skin color, they also have no control over when and where they were born. In both cases, there is a framework of belief that says, “Without even meeting or knowing you, I believe something about you:   I can expect this particular sort of behavior or traits (sneakiness, laziness, arrogance, etc.) from members of this particular group of people (Jews, blacks, Aries, etc.)” When an astrologer meets a person and finds out that person’s astrological sign, she will bring to that experience a pre-existing list of assumptions (prejudices) about that person’s behavior, personality, and character. In both cases, the prejudices will cause people to seek out and confirm their expectations. Racists will look for examples of anti-social behaviors in the groups they dislike, and astrologers will look for the personality traits that they believe the person will exhibit. Since people have complex personalities (all of us are lazy some of the time, caring at other times, etc.), both racists and astrologers will find evidence to confirm their beliefs.

What is trying to be conveyed here is that zodiac signs or anything else that can be used as a form of discrimination should be avoided. No one deserves to be treated in this manner for these reasons. It definitely shouldn’t be acceptable.

You cannot understand a city without using its public transportation system”

Humans first means of transport were walking and swimming. The domestication of animals introduced a new way to lay the burden of transport on more powerful creatures. Inventions such as the wheel and sled helped make animal transport more efficient while the Industrial revolution in the 19th century transformed transportation by 360 degrees. Transport is the key necessity for specialization- allowing production and consumption of products to occur at different places or locations, thus creating utility of space. Conveyance has, even throughout history, been a spur to expansion since better transport allows more trade and a greater spread of people. It Is an undeniable fact that the economic growth is directly or indirectly, dependant on increasing the capacity and rationality of transport, with its various modes, namely road, rail, air, water, cable, pipelines, and even space, each having its own advantages and disadvantages. The whole field of transportation has been divided into infrastructure, vehicles and operations. Vehicle travelling on these networks may include auto-mobiles, bicycles, buses, trains, trucks, people, helicopters, water-craft, spacecraft and aircraft.

Transportation plays important role in rapid economic growth of a nation. … Transportation increases the quality and variety of consumer goods, thereby stimulating the demand and development of trade and economy of the nation. Transport provides various employment opportunities and boosts up the economy of the country.

Transport, or transportation, is moving people or things from one place to another place. Transport can be divided into infrastructure, vehicles and operations. Infrastructure includes roads, railways, airports, canals and pipelines. … Vehicles or vessels travel on the infrastructure.

In today’s time, the means of transport is very important because if these resources are not there, then man will not be able to reach his workplace in time and will not be able to progress. We need to use these means of transport carefully and stay connected. The search for means of transport is like a gift for the coming generations so that they will not have to endure the journey. The means of transport also help in maintaining national and international unity and takes us from one city to another to get introduced to different culture. It can be said that the means of transport is beneficial for us if they are used smoothly.

Types of transportation

1.Road transport,

2.Rail transport,

3.Air transport,

4.Water transport

  • Road transport: Road transport plays a significant role in the progress of economic and social state of the country. It is the most cost-effective mode of transportation for medium and short distances. This transportation service is regarded as useful and preferable because of its trustworthiness, flexibility, ease and speed.
  • Rail transport: The railway is considered to be “the lifeline” of India. It facilitates transference of goods and people from one location to another. The vastness of the country makes rail transportation a vital transport medium for internal transportation and operation of commuters. People get easy access to various inaccessible areas. With railways, it becomes possible to bring in people and materials from different parts of the country that was earlier not possible.
  • Air transport: This mode of transportation is significant for its fast transport. India enjoys a centralized location all over the world in regards to air transportation. This mode of transport began in 1911 when the first postal service was transferred between Allahabad and Naini.
  • Water transport: Water transport offer the cheapest mode of transportation as there is no need to create any transportation route. Both internal as well as marine water channels such as canals and rivers provide water transportation in the country.

conclusion,

Transportation is already in our daily life and we need to use it. So it is the one of indispensable thing in our life. We always need to go from somewhere to another and goods needs to be transported. For all these, there are different transportatins. We always use land way to go home, school, work or anywhere else. So, we can reach land vehicles everywhere. Goods are always transported by ships. It is slower, but it is cheap way and it can take huge amounts. For long distances we always use airlines, as it is so fast. You can reach everywhere you like. Namely, transportation is part of our life.

Digital Economy

The Digital Economy refers to economic transactions that occur on the Internet.
Economic transaction simply means the transfer of goods and services money.

Over time due to the continuous evolution of technology life has become smoother.
The benefits of the digital economy are there for everyone to catch a glimpse of namely-
Increase in online businesses
Higher transparency
Easy availability of services
But it’s only one side of the coin. While the advantages of the digital economy are remarkable, it is also responsible for creating some inequalities in society as well.
Unemployment
Increased cybercrimes
Lack of security
The solution to the issue of inequalities in the digital economy lies in the hands of the establishment and the users of the technology.
The government must form effective strategies in regards to educating the public & handling grievances through strings laws. Plus people should know their responsibilities and avert from taking advantage of the less informed.

PROCRASTINATION

Procrastination is one of the most significant roadblocks to waking up, making the proper decisions, and living the life you’ve imagined.

According to recent studies, people regret the things they haven’t done more than the things they have done. Furthermore, regret and guilt associated with squandered opportunities tend to linger considerably longer. All of our opportunities appear to be at our fingertips at times, but we can’t seem to get to them. When you procrastinate, you are wasting time that could be spent on something more productive. If you can defeat this formidable foe, you will be able to achieve more and better harness the potential that life has to offer.

We already know that today’s world encourages procrastination, making understanding how to fight it one of the most valuable skills you can acquire. As a result, procrastination is the polar opposite of punctuality. A punctual person accomplishes what has to be done exactly when it needs to be done; a dilatory person never does anything when it needs to be done, preferring to postpone it until tomorrow, next week, or next year. If procrastination is not firmly checked, it quickly develops into a poor habit, making punctual performance of everyday responsibilities impossible. It could be due to simple laziness and a reluctance to work when it is inconvenient, or it could be due to the delusion that there will be enough time in the future to do all of our tasks.

How can you overcome procrastination?

Stop being so pessimistic: People delay for a variety of reasons, one of which is that they catastrophize, or make a big deal out of a minor issue. The underlying idea is that executing the activity will be “unbearable.” It could be related to how difficult, boring, or painful it will be to do the task. Challenges, monotony, and hard labour, in actuality, will not kill you, nor will they make you sick. Procrastination, on the other hand, is linked to stress—imagine how stressed you are when you put off making a phone call you know you need to make. Put things in perspective: “This isn’t my favourite task, but I’ll finish it.”

Concentrate on your “why”: Procrastinators are more concerned with short-term rewards (avoiding the task’s unpleasantness) than with long-term outcomes (the stress of not doing it, as well as the consequences of avoiding this task). Instead, concentrate on why you are performing this task: What are the advantages to finishing it? Imagine how good it will feel to go into a decluttered closet if you’ve been putting off clearing it out.

Keep your expectations in check: Set yourself up for success as you create your schedule. Projects can take far longer than anticipated, so plan ahead. Also, search for ways to make your life easier: If you’re not a morning person, don’t expect to get up an hour earlier to begin a fitness regimen you’ve been putting off for months. That exercise might be better scheduled during lunch or before dinner.

Chunk it: When a task appears to be too demanding, procrastination is common. So, how do you divide that project down into smaller, more manageable chunks? If you want to write a book, for example, you could prepare an outline, identify each chapter, determine the portions inside each chapter, and then commit to writing one segment at a time. Things will make you feel less overwhelmed and more empowered if you break it down like this.

Optimize your environment: Your surroundings can either help or hurt your productivity. Keep an eye out for technology that keeps pinging to let you know someone has contacted you, such as your email or messenger. Procrastination can be caused by social media, internet “research” that takes you off course, and phone calls.

Forgive yourself: Stop berating yourself for the mistakes you’ve made in the past. Things will only get worse if you think things like “I should have begun sooner” or “I always procrastinate; I am such a failure.” According to research, forgiving yourself for past procrastination can help you stop procrastinating on a task. You can also try to capitalise on previous procrastination. How? Determine what caused your avoidance—fear, stress, a lack of understanding of how to move forward, a lack of accountability, and so on. Then, in the present and future, confront those difficulties

Spring Day by BTS

South Korean boy band Bangtan Soneyondan, or more commonly known as BTS are worldwide superstars. Their recent song, a collab with Ed Sheeran ‘Permission to Dance’ has topped the Billboard hot 100 charts making them the only kpop band to have 5 songs listed on the top of the charts. BTS’s ‘Butter’ which stayed on top of the charts for more than 7 weeks, has broken a plethora of records which were set by them before.

Back in 2017 BTS released an emotional ballad, ‘Spring Day’ which is a song about love, loss and longing for the past. However the cover and art of the music video tells us about a water tragedy, sinking of the ‘Sewol ferry’ in 2014 in South Korea. However, when a magazine editor asked them about a specific reason for the song, the eldest member Jin replied “It is about a sad event, as you said, but it is also about longing”. He also addded that “Spring Day” really represents him personally. “I like to look to the past and be lost in it.”

‘Spring Day’ was released three years after the sinking of Sewol ferry, a disaster which took many innocent lives. According to the reports, it is said that the ferry capsized during an overnight journey due to improper inspection, overloading. It was stated that the ferry was loaded with twice the legal limit of cargo on the deck and the ship crew lied about its weight. 304 passengers were aboard the ship that night, mostly high school students who were on their way to a sight seeing field trip were drowned.

Only 172 of them were survived. They revealed that majority of them drowned because they were ordered to stay inside their cabins. According to some reports, the South Korean government tried to silence entertainers who spoke out against it. The Korean Ministry of Education even banned the disaster’s commemorative yellow ribbons in schools. Later, the president at the time of the disaster, who was widely criticized for her government’s failure to prevent it, was impeached on charges of corruption.

But the nostalgic, longing tone of BTS’s “Spring Day” subtly helped keep the memory of the disaster alive in the minds of young Koreans and the media in the years after the tragedy. The vocals of that song are very soothing and the lyrics have a very deep meaning. It is all about waiting for a friend, who went to a place from which he cannot return. They refer their longing as winter. The day they meet that friend, will become a spring day and bring happiness and sunshine into their lives. They also add that even though they want to erase their pain and memories of him, they can’t.

They are urging that friend to wait a little longer as the flowers may bloom back into their lives and the darkness will eventually go as no season lasts forever. In the end, they also give a little bit of hope that they’ll be able to see their friend at last. ‘Wait a bit for few more nights, I’ll be there for you. I’ll come to see you.’ They add it in the end of the song. BTS are mostly known for their meaningful and inspiring lyrics and this is yet another masterpiece penned and sung by the septet.

WHERE THERE IS DEVOTIONAL MUSIC, GOD IS ALWAYS AT HAND WITH HIS GRACIOUS PRESENCE”

A devotional song is a hymn which accompanies religious observances and rituals. Traditionally devotional music has been a part of Hindu music, Jewish music, Buddhist music, Sufi music, Islamic music and Christian music . Each major religion has its own tradition with devotional hymns.

Music is a medium often used to communicate with God. It transcends space and time. It is free of religion, caste, nationality, and even language. It resonates with the inner self of a person, reflecting the purpose and deeper meaning of life. While music is a form of expression, spirituality is born from a space of personal experience, and the environment. It brings clarity to thought and gives an opportunity for personal reflection. Old age is just right to contemplate about the bygone years and the deeds. Old age is a time to seek a passage to the Supreme Being. At an age where nothing comes as a surprise, but everything is consequential, the mind keenly looks for peace.  Devotional songs have long been used to direct mind and soul towards a safe harbor. It is for the same reason that we are encouraged to hear songs that encourage us during yoga lessons or morning prayers.

Devotional songs help one find compassion, generosity, and harmony. In addition to this, listening to devotional songs is shown to have added benefits on the mental health of a person. Listening to devotional music regularly gives out positive vibes, and contributes to a happier outlook on life. It results in the enhanced and elevated mood, especially when listened to during mornings. It also fosters relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety, and increases self-esteem. In Alzheimer patients, devotional music can increase communication skills, and stimulate parts of the brain responsible for memory. It significantly helps in keeping a check on anger. Those who listen to devotional music have reported better sleep, increased the ability to concentrate, increased awareness, and lessened the need for medications.

In India, devotion is a way of life. It can vary in medium, intensity, and genre, but there is no way around it. Whatever definition of spirituality one holds, the nature of music is a path one treads on. It is an integral part of human life, and more so when the mind needs most strength to carry on into the sunset.

Devotion or bhakti is intrinsically always present in music. From the yester years, music has forever been an expression of ultimate devotion. Ranging from bandishes, thumris, bhajans to general colloquial music, music represents devotion – a symbolism of surrender to the supreme Lord.

In classical music, the musical notes, alaaps and lyrics are all devotional. Various ragas sung at specific times, signify a deep meditation and penance. The permutations and combinations of the musical notes for the different ragas rise the mental level of the performer as well as the audience to a high spiritual platform. In this way, a musical performance creates a devotional environment.

What is VPS (Virtual Private Server)? Its features!

VPS (VIRTUAL PRIVATE SERVER)
Do you know what VPS is?
The full form of VPS is Virtual Private Server. As the name suggests, it is a virtual private server, which is rented to the user. It appears to the user that on a VPS there is no other user on the server & it is a dedicated server. However, VPS is installed on a server serving multiple websites. There are multiple VPS on a computer. The user has full access to his VPS. It has a unique IP address, disc space, CPU resources and the user doesn’t have to share it. It is independent.
How a VPS works?

There is an OS (Operating System) installed on each VPS. The user can install any software that runs on that Operating System. The web hosting provider uses virtualization technology which installs a virtual layer on the Operating System (OS) of the server. Hence, it separates the server into individual compartments, through a virtual wall. Thus, the user can install their OS & software. Hence, it is a completely private server.

Advantages of a VPS Hosting

The first one & the best advantage is that the user has full access to the VPS’s OS without any restrictions &  no need for permission from the admin for any custom process.
Users can also host additional services such as File Transfer Protocol (FTP), a mail server, an e-commerce store & many more.
It also allows the user to host multiple websites which are best for an organisation, developer, & many other types of businesses.

Disadvantages of VPS Hosting

Generally, small businesses & organisations own VPS, to get the flexibility of a Dedicated Server at a cheap price. But it also has its disadvantages.
Another disadvantage is that it lacks in performance. The VPS generally throttle the server’s performance. Because the VPS provider tries to increase the number of VPS on the server.
Security is not a major disadvantage on VPS. Generally, VPS is separated from another VPS because of server virtualization. But there is also a security requirement, which is avoided by some hosting providers. Hence, it may lead to a major security issue.
