Let’s Communicate

By Anshiki Jadia

Have you at any point been in that abnormal circumstance with somebody where you were unable to move beyond the short discussions? Starts with the good tidings and afterward a total full stop? The underlying driver of this load of issues is ill-advised relational abilities!

WHAT EXACTLY IS COMMUNICATION?

Indeed, the course book might characterize it as “the demonstration of giving, getting, and sharing data” But it is significantly more than that, and when placed into straightforward words, it’s essentially trading thoughts and considerations, being liberal about one another’s point of view and being somewhat weak enough to trust the individual that you address.

HOW TO GET BETTER AT COMMUNICATION IN THE PROFESSIONAL SECTOR?

A few group might confront issues when they need to fire up the discussion, they are normally clear initially, don’t have the foggiest idea how to begin the discussion, however when they get into it and open up, they discover no issues in proceeding with the discussion.

Have some ‘profound’ ice breakers close by :

You can’t anticipate that topics should just snap in your psyche, so perhaps it is smarter to set yourself up ahead of time. To do that, you should initially have to accept that, the individual you are conversing with likewise coordinates with a similar excitement as yours. In any event, when uncertain, step up, it might wind up knocking your socks off!

Pose inquiries about subjects the other individual is keen on :

Extraordinary compared to other approaches to proceed with the protection is talking on the subjects the other individual is keen on, so to do that, you should essentially know something’s about him/her, which should either be possible by a little historical verification, assuming the individual you are addressing has direct impact over you, it is smarter to know things about him/her to dazzle. Else you can get by their non-verbal communication with respect to where their inclinations may lay.

Try not to push individuals to see your point of view :

We all are special in our own specific manner, likewise outlooks differ from one individual to another. At the point when you are discussing a specific subject ensure you are simply bringing up your considerations and sentiments yet not pushing them. They will have their own point of view, pay attention to it, not the entirety of our realities should be right as now and then when you go further into the subject you might understand that there is plausible to investigate the matter contrastingly as well! So rather than pushing your considerations, keep the discussion light and end with “What are your viewpoints about it?”

Try not to discuss the climate :

The subject of climate essentially implies that you are either not intrigued by the discussion or don’t have a clue what else to talk about. So I recommend you not take up this theme.

Uncover something somewhat close to home about yourself :

Rather than straightforwardly leaping direct, you can discuss your own insight with regards to why you have the assessment that you have. At the point when you disclose to them more about yourself they get a reasonable thought as well! Rather than asking them inquiries and anticipating answers, you can request their accounts, rather than posing inquiries like, “Did you have a good end of the week?” or, “What’s happening?” have a go at inquiring “What was the most amazing aspect of your end of the week?” or “What are you anticipating this week?”

Never back down, feeling that you talking or that your inflection isn’t adequate. You need to commit errors to learn! Step up and accept circumstances for what they are!

PROS AND CONS OF PRIVATIZATION OF BANKS

The word ‘Bank’ does not need any kind of introduction. Everyone, now a day, is familiar to what Bank is. It is a financial institution that works according to the structure of the economy and helps to promote it. Banks have proved to be very helpful in connecting the people directly to the economy of the nation. Banks are mainly authorized to receive the deposits of the people and also provide them loans easily and according to their need. Banks are the key to drive the economy smoothly and efficiently.

History of Banks in India

The Bank of Hindostan”, established in 1770, was the first Bank of India which ran for about 60 years and soon failed. The modern day “State Bank of India” was established in 1806 and was first named “Bank of Calcutta”. It was later renamed as the “Bank of Bengal” by the British Government. Soon this bank merged with “Bank of Madras” and “Bank of Bombay” and formed a new bank called “Imperial Bank of India”. “Reserve Bank of India (RBI)” which is the central banking institution in India, was established on 1st April 1935 with the RBI act 1934. In succeeding years, India got many other private banks working well with the economy. The Government of India took a step to nationalize the 14 major banks of India in 1964 after independence. After the 6 years, 6 more banks were nationalized in 1970 and thus we got 20 nationalized banks in India but soon “The New Bank of India” merged with the “Punjab National Bank” and now we have all over 19 nationalized banks in India.

Functions of Bank

The basic functions of all the banks are to deposit the savings of the customers through opening their Bank accounts and also providing them loans. These are the functions that every bank in India works on. Apart from these two basic operations, the modern day Banks also work on many other financial activities. The functions of a bank are as follows:

  1. Deposit Savings
  2. Providing loans
  3. Insurance
  4. Mutual fund
  5. Providing lockers
  6. Conducting social welfare programs
  7. Transferring funds
  8. Collecting cheques

As it will not be wrong to say that The Banks absorb the excess capital from the economy stopping them from being circulated and use them in the right direction properly to increase the productivity and the growth of the nation.

Public Sector and Private Sector Banks

A public sector bank is a bank in which the majority of its stake is held by the Government. In other words, we can say that a public sector bank is such a bank which has its majority of shares under the hand of the Government. The Public Sector Banks are classified into two groups as:

  1. Nationalized Banks
  2. State Bank and Associates

In the other hands, a private sector bank is a bank in which the majority of the shares of the bank are under the control of its share holders. There are currently 22 Private Sector Banks working in India.

PRIVATIZATION OF PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS IN INDIA

The privatization of any institution is the process of transferring the ownership from the government to the private hands. As we all know that India has 19 Nationalized Banks which act under The Reserve Bank of India and Indian Government.

PROS OF PRIVATIZATION OF BANKS

Many Organisations in India conducted surveys and found that the privatization of the Banks will result quite positive outcomes. It led the Indian Government to think about the privatization of all the Banks. Let’s see why privatization of Indian Banks has become indispensable for the Government of India:

  1. It is found that the Private sector banks are more advanced than Public sector Banks and are also working more efficiently.
  2. The foreign investors prefer to invest in private sector banks rather than the public sector banks.
  3. The private sector banks are much strict against loans and frauds.
  4. Public Sector banks are usually less competitive than the private sector banks.
  5. Private sector banks are obedient and quite serious towards their work and responsibility which lacks in the most of the Public sector banks.
  6. The private sector banks follow the concept of lowest risk.
  7. Privatization will also help to reduce the burden of the Government of India.

CONS OF PRIVATIZATION OF BANKS

No doubt the private sector banks are very efficient but they also fail somewhere. Privatization of the banks leads to several undesirable situations. Some of these are:

  1. The privatized banks will focus on maximizing their benefit and it will put an adverse effect on the middle class and poor people of the society.
  2. Every organisation, whether government sector or private sector, has some issues within its structure. It is not necessary that a private sector bank will never go with any fraud.
  3. The people in present India mostly believe on Public Sector Banks and don’t prefer to deposit their savings in private sector Banks.
  4. The public sector banks usually work on social welfare while the motive of private sector banks is generation of profit.
  5. Many government schemes like “Jan-Dhan Yojna” and “Pension Yojna” worked well and also became successful only because they were applied in Public Sector Banks.
  6. Another disadvantage of privatization is the excess use of nepotism which will affect the banking services.

IMPACT OF PRIVATIZATION OF BANKS IN INDIA

Privatization of Banks will definitely have some positive and also some adverse effect directly on society and indirectly on economy. Privatization of banks will be helpful in getting a better customer service. It will also affect the economy and helps in growth. It may be said that the privatization of Indian Banks will remove irregularity and bring punctuality and will led to accountability in the service. It is obviously seen that the private institutions provide incentives to the employees according to their work so Privatization of Banks will definitely increase the productivity of the employees. One of the most adverse affect of privatization will be the widespread economic gap. It will support the rich people of the society leaving poor behind. This concept will make poor poorer. Also the Privatized banks will mainly focus on urban areas and it will slowly diminish in rural areas of the nation.

CONCLUSION

As we all know that the Banks are the backbone of the economy. The Indian Constitution says “Every economic activity in the nation should be centred at the welfare of the people” but, in my view, privatization will violate this concept because it is obvious that the Private Bank will be aimed at maximizing their own profit. Where there are some bad aspects of privatization of banks there are also some good aspects of it. We must examine on our own and decided whether Privatization of Banks should be supported or opposed.

DEEP LEARNING- PART 2

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is deep-learning-logo-picture-id871793108

The previous article gave a brief introduction to deep learning. This article deals with the networks used in deep learning. This network is known as a neural network. As the name suggests the network is made up of neurons

The networks used in artificial intelligence are a combination of blocks arranged in layers. These blocks are called an artificial neurons. They mimic the properties of a natural neuron. One of the neurons is the sigmoid neuron.

This is in general the formula for the sigmoid function. Every neural network consists of weights and biases.

Weights- The scalar quantities which get multiplied to the input

Biases- the threshold quantity above which a neuron fires

NotationMeaning
XInput
YOutput
WWeight
BBias

Working of a neuron

This is the simple representation of a neuron. This is similar to the biological neuron. In this neuron, the inputs are given along with some priority known as weights. The higher the value of the weights, the more prioritized is that input. This is the reason for our brain to choose one activity over the other. Activity is done only if the neuron fires. A similar situation is seen here. The particular activity is forwarded to the next layer only if this particular neuron fires. That is the output must be produced from the neuron.

Condition for the neuron to fire

The neuron will produce an output only if the inputs follow the condition.

As mentioned before, the bias is the threshold value and the neuron will fire only when the value crosses this bias. Thus the weighted sum for all the inputs must be greater than the bias in order to produce an output.

Classification of networks

Every neural network consists of three layers majorly: –

  1. Input layer
    1. Hidden layer
    1. Output layer

Input layer

The input layer consists of inputs in the form of vectors. Images are converted into 1-D vectors. Input can be of any form like audio, text, video, image, etc. which get converted into vectors.

Hidden layer

This is the layer in which all the computations occur. This is generally not visible to the user hence termed as a hidden layer. This layer may be single or multiple based on the complexity of the task to be performed. Each layer processes a part of the task and it is sent to the next layer. Vectors get multiplied with the weight matrix of correct dimensions and this vector gets passed onto the next layer.

Output layer

The output layer gets information from the last layer of the hidden layer. This is the last stage in the network. This stage depends upon the task given by the user. The output will be a 1-D vector. In the case of classification, the vector will have a value high for a particular class. In the case of regression, the output vector will have numbers representing the answer to those questions posed by the user.

The next article is about the feed-forward neural network.

DEEP LEARNING SERIES- PART 1

Have you ever wondered how the brain works? One way of understanding it is by cutting open the brain and analyzing the structures present inside it. This however can be done by researchers and doctors. Another method is by using electricity to stimulate several regions of the brain. But what if I say that it is possible to analyze and mimic the brain in our computers? Sounds quite interesting right! This particular technology is known as deep learning.

Deep learning is the technique of producing networks that process unstructured data and gives output. With the help of deep learning, it is possible to produce and use brain-like networks for various tasks in our systems. It is like using the brain without taking it out.  Deep learning is advanced than machine learning and imitates the brain better than machine learning and also the networks built using deep learning consists of parts known as neurons which is similar to biological neurons. Artificial intelligence has attracted researchers in every domain for the past two decades especially in the medical field; AI is used to detect several diseases in healthcare.

3ModelThe mathematical relation between input and output. This varies based on the task and complexityMP neuron(Y=x+b) Perceptron(Y=wx+b) Sigmoid or logistic(Y=1/1+exp(wx+b)) *w and b are parameters corresponding to the model
4Loss functionKind of a compiler that finds errors between the output and input (how much the o/p leads or lags the i/p).Square error= square of the difference between the predicted and actual output.

Every model in this deep learning can be easily understood through these six domains. Or in other words, these six domains play an important role in the construction of any model. As we require cement, sand, pebbles, and bricks to construct a house we require these six domains to construct a network.

Now it will be more understandable to tell about the general procedure for networks.

  1. Take in the data (inputs and their corresponding outputs) from the user.
  2. Perform the task as mentioned by the user.
  3. Apply the specific relation to the input to compute the predicted output as declared by the user in the form of model by assigning values to parameters in the model.
  4.  Find the loss the model has made through computing the difference between the predicted and actual output.
  5. Use a suitable learning algorithm so as to minimize the loss by finding the optimum value for parameters in the network
  6. Run the model and evaluate its performance in order to find its efficiency and enhance it if found less.

By following these steps correctly, one can develop their own machine. In order to learn better on this, pursuing AI either through courses or opting as a major is highly recommended. The reason is that understanding those concepts requires various divisions in mathematics like statistics, probability, calculus, vectors, and matrices apart from programming.

Grow More Trees To Reduce Pollution

 By:Astha Raghav

The alarm and the pain in the present situation which is cautioning people is the environmental pollution. Smoking chimneys, burning tree leaves and wastes, smoke spewing vehicles the city is almost dying. Year after year the situation is deteriorating and if nothing is done against this hazard, conditions will worsen further. The emergence of great factories and consumption of coal gas give rise to unprecedented air pollution.

Trees conserve energy. Three trees placed strategically around a single family home can cut summer air conditioning needs by up to 50 percent.  By reducing the energy demand for cooling our houses.  We reduce carbon dioxide and other pollution emissions from power plants. In this urban century when there are going to be an extra two billion people in cities, smart cities should be thinking about how nature and trees can be a part of the pollution to keep air healthy.

Rather than to be blamed for inviting the worsen situation of pollution.

People living in the vicinity should focus on how to reduce it. People should form action committees to launch afforestation drives to make city green. You should volunteer to promote “Each one Plant one”. Awareness rallies on ” Save the Environment” and “Go Green”  would be an eye opener.

Thank You!

Problem of population

By: Astha Raghav

The problem of population is one of the greatest problems which are being faced by our country. The population of our country is increasing very rapidly. The main reason behind it is the lock of education among the people.  So education should be spread among the masses. If they are education, they will try to raise their standard of living. For this purpose they will adopt family planning.  Thus they will lead a happy life.

Unsustainable population growth and lack of access to reproductive health care also puts pressure on human communities, exacerbating food and water shortages, reducing resilience in the face of climate change, and making it harder for the most vulnerable communities to rise out of intergenerational poverty.

We can reduce our own population and consumption to an ecologically sustainable level in ways that promote human rights; decrease poverty and overcrowding; raise our standard of living; and allow plants, animals and ecosystems to thrive.

Only 1 in about 110 sex acts results in a conception and 1 in 270 in a live birth. Of all conceptions, 40% result in live births, 5% in stillbirths, and 55% never develop. 1/3 of all known conceptions ends in abortion, spontaneous or induced. It appears that the population problem depends on a small fraction of the potential. Misconceptions of the problem are corrected, and it is emphasized that while no social problem facing the U.S. would be easier with a larger population, demographic factors do not cause all of the other problems. Increasing numbers are not as important as the rate of increase (2% annually worldwide). Today’s population problem has been caused by a decreased death rate, not an increased birthrate. There are 2 kinds of countries in the world today: those with a high standard of living and low fertility and those with a low standard of living and high fertility. Most of the uninformed women of the world would not choose to have large numbers of children if they had a choice. Population density is not a problem in itself. Experts disagree, but it is improbable that large numbers of people will die of starvation in the next few decades. Environmental deterioration is more the result of modern economic and technological practices than of demographic factors. Efforts at fertility control are not aimed at minorities in this country and elsewhere. The poor are discriminated against in access to family planning services and abortion. Moslems of developing countries have higher fertility rates than Roman Catholics in developed countries. There would be many social costs if the U.S. were to achieve zero population growth in the near future. The population problem has implications for the future quality of life.

Thank you!

Peace and trust builds humanity.

As the famous quote by Dalai Lama goes, “World belongs to humanity, not this leader, that leader or that king or prince or religious leader. World belongs to humanity.” So what does Humanity mean and how can we induce a sense of humanity in our society and how can we build it up?

Humanity refers to the human race. It also symbolises qualities that make us human, qualities like love and compassion towards each other. Humanity is an important part of life which tells that to help others whenever and wherever possible. Humanity entails putting others’ needs ahead of our own at times when they are most in need, and putting others’ needs ahead of our own when they are most in need. Humanity means extending unconditional love to each and every living being on Earth. For showing humanity you don’t need to be a rich person, even a poor person can show humanity by helping someone or sharing food, etc.

The image above shows us, that as human we are all interconnected, so for one to thrive, the others have to thrive as well, and for that, humanity needs to built.

However, humanity has not always been this perfect idea of love, compassion and togetherness. As humans, we tend to be selfish rather than selfless in many ways, we tend to view minorities and less fortunate as lesser humans, we take pleasure at the expense of another person’s distress, we create divisions and play God. And as we go through this cycle of the same vile thoughts and ideas, the sense of humanity slowly moves further away from us.

To break this cycle, humans need to be more trustworthy and must have a sense of peace. As the concept of humanity is also dependent on qualities like trust, honesty and a sense of peace and togetherness one must know the importance of the qualities of trust and peace.

Trust is the glue of society, it cements relationships, makes us feel safe and helps us to belong to a group. To trust is human, however, somewhere along the lines the actual meaning of trust has gotten erased in all the selfishness, insensitivities and egoism of humankind. For any society to flourish, trust is one of the many prerequisites  for humanity to thrive as when trust is present things go well, whether it is trust in a leader to follow, in a doctor, in a consultant or a coach or trust in spouses, siblings and friends. However, trust has to be earned and yet even the trust that is earned can be lost, but it can also be regained.

Peace is another pre-requisite for humanity, as it a necessary conditions for the development of mankind. Peace of all the human beings mean peace and harmony among all the nations, ethnic groups and religions. It can bring about a stable society. The virtue of peace and its importance is mentioned in many religions.  However, in today’s society peace doesn’t seem to exist between countries, political parties or even in families. This absence of peace gives rise to many conflicts and violence. These violence’s are created by differences in political or religious ideologies. This ends up with people fighting and losing sight of the basic humanity.

Hence, trust is one of the most important tools that has an incredible power to helps us to connect, inspire, motivate and encourage people and peace is a way of sustaining social life distant from internal conflict, which is necessary for what is left of humanity to survive.

A HOME-MAKER PREFERRED ARTICLE WHERE YOU CAN CHOOSE OUT YOUR STOVE ACCORDING TO YOUR BENEFITS.

THE TRENDY AND EVERLASTING HOME APPLIANCE OF STOVES TO MAKE HEALTHY FOODS AT HOME

  • A tiny Introduction

This is a random general topic but if I point out and ask this as what is an auto-ignition or in simple terms as stove we would say that as a cooking appliance and more probably some might wonder how to spell them exactly like in defined terms.

Actually, this might be answered only by honorable homemakers at your home who prepare food for your family on a daily basis.

Let us not break it up as I explicitly give you a clear understanding about these auto-ignition stoves exactly.

  • A short and Crisp description upon AIGS (Auto-Ignition Gas Stove)

-> Auto-Ignition Stoves – Kind of necessary appliance for our regular cooking purposes that has several burners attached according to people’s convenience as you can use the ignition of spark as electricity after you regulate the volume of gas coming out from burners and keep them constant.

Then quickly you fire your burner to start your cooking works. These can also be called as LPG Gas stove, but we most probably have the habit of pronouncing it as an auto-ignition stove for our homely foods.

They consist of two different categories of these stove

  1. The Auto-Ignition Gas Stove
  2. Manual Gas Stove.
  • A Brief note on explanation between various types
  1. Manual Stove:

These are the similar types like the auto-ignition stoves unless they have to be lighted with some matches / candles.

  1. Auto-Ignition Stove:

A slight difference from the above is you trigger your burner by just switching the knob and bursting the light out of it from just a spark given by any igniting device that is associated with electricity.

You just note a slight difference is both are up to your expectation and will fulfill your requirement and with multiple types of burners equipped in it. But you just make a click on the Auto-ignition stoves whereas you have to make out the flare/fire to bring out the flames in it.

You have alternatives in stoves but the best choice for you is to opt for the automatic stoves / ignitions in the latest model known in short as auto-ignition gas stoves (AIGS) by me.

  • Have a glimpse of these advantages of Auto-Ignition stoves and a small para about the lifestyle of cooking in India.

The preferred benefits of it are:

  1. It lessens the time duration you take to activate your stove when compared with manual one.
  2. You can easily wash your spill-traps and detachable trays where in manual it is a bit heavier than these stoves and will not catch fire if you wash and replace them.
  1. In Manual ones you are in the range of getting fire marks on your hands but you don’t have the tension to worry about it in auto-ignition gas stoves as you are at a safe distance from handling it.
  2. And much more can be listed.

These are some sample and basic ideas got by professionals working on cooking especially women in India as most of the families have homemakers as women only.

In India, we can view a high rate of dependency on homely foods rather than the readily prepared foods or ordered from outside.

If you are into a family of traditional or health preferred members you can experience one obviously pushing you to the same situation.

So, I clearly understand that I made the points stand tall in your minds and hearts of all the ideas I had with me and hope so there is no opposition to my points.

As we are clear of all these basic awareness, we can confidently view two top-rating and best performing stoves on the side of auto ignition for you to choose out of your budget if you are in need of it.

  • Different top performing and friendly stoves exclusively for our home-makers.
  1. Prestige Royale Plus Schott Top auto-ignited one.

This is the top on our list that almost fulfills everyone’s need than any other auto-ignition stove can do. It is a both featured cooking appliance that works as a manual and an auto-ignited stove where you get two mangoes on a single stone.

It is preferred by three-fourth of people in India for its guarantee and warranty given by its brand, one of the top and toughest competitors in the appliance.

It has a default plugin of lighter type so you can discover the click of spark being given by an automatic mechanism so won’t have the feel to replace the battery or the bulk instruments attached as it is sleek and automated type.

If you are a tidy and cleanliness preferer than this suits you well and good as it is also embedded with an immortal system of ignition behind.

  • Thermador 3 Brass Burner Gas Stove LPG Use only, auto-ignition

This is a recently arrived appliance that has been sold for less than three thousand also in recent studies conducted by others.

It is the best and safeguarding appliance of the stove from the fire burns and has an awesome reliability of the ignition process that works on automatically instead of manual operation. You can really congratulate the model prepared by the brand as it is long-lasting and works on the terms of long run too.

All the basic amenities to work on an automatic stove are considered under a single platform, obviously designing it in an advance that still astonishes even now.

These two options are enough for our limits and expectancy of features we trust up on for our whole hereditary.

  • A random conclusion

As I described, only a few adopted features will help you out to make notes on a page wise basis as it shows every feature of it uniquely once when you start using them as your friend for all your dishes under one stove.

You can even explore it in several articles so you will have a complete functionality of them in mind.

                                                                   (Photo: TripAdvisor)

We all are very much familiar with the fast-food
chains. With the revolution in food, the world has become so fast-moving that
it’s very difficult to keep a track. With the demand for fast-food came the entry
of fast-food joints. It has garnered the market to a wide level.

Increasing demand for fast food

Is there anyone who doesn’t like fast-food? It has
become so inevitable and specially among children.  The children specially like burger and pizza
more than dal or roti. Demand for McDonald’s, Subway, KFC has increased rapidly
over the years. Who knew that they will capture the market at such a level?

Why they are so much in demand?

·
If we see from the customer’s view,
we can say that it’s highly desirable.

·
The prices are also low as compared
to dine in restaurants.

·
It is spread across many locations.

·
The taste is also good and it’s very
convenient.

The fast-food has become very………Fast

If a fast-food restaurant wants to remain in business,
then it has to be very fast. This pace has been very well maintained by the
fast-food chains of Indian market. Many people after work grab their fast-food
while going back to home.

It’s everywhere and that’s why it is very convenient to order.

Smarter
than You Think

Fast-food
chains adopt various approaches to target customers. They mainly target
children as fast-food is more popular among children. For example, the use of
characters such as Ronald McDonald  is a
tactic to emotionally bond with the children. They also organize birthday
parties and offer happy meal. They keep kids hooked up on happy meals. This is
what is called as “SMART PLAY”.

Environmental and Wildlife Crime

                                                          (Photo: Wildlife Conservation Trust)

Environmental and Wildlife crime is an illegal act which directly harms the environment.

There was a time when people were dependent on the environment and its resources for their existence. As if like they can’t live without it. But with time the situation changed. People started misusing the environment and wildlife for their own greedy purposes which led to a massive destruction of our environment, wildlife and especially our ‘Mother Earth’. As our country is developing, people are becoming greedy and selfish day by day. They have started mismanaging the resources that are actually meant to be used for useful purposes ,and due to this nowadays we are facing many harmful disasters like Tsunami, Earthquake, Flood, Poverty, Economic downfall all over the world. Not only these there are many other problems too.

Coming to the Wildlife, many animals are forcefully placed at zoo in a cage confining their lives within the walls of the zoo. We all know about Deforestation ,that is, “Cutting down the trees and plants”. Thousands of plants and trees are cut down everyday but we never think about the animals like how they will survive as forests are their only home to live in. Many animals are killed leading to the decreasing number of animals in the world. They are left abandoned or some people sell them just to mint money or use their skin to make leather and for many other purposes.

It is a true fact that human activities have a worse impact on nature and wildlife. “The term Environmental and Wildlife crime” should be categorized as crime in the present time. Many factors that influence these crimes are Socio-political and the weak judiciary. As we are all aware that there is no strict implementation of laws in many countries like, India. There are many organizations who works to highlight the issues and work on to prevent but there is no strict implementation not even the judiciary .And people do take benefits from this, and they continue to do these illegal crimes endangering our environment and wildlife. Coming to another factor ,that is, Economy. To increase the economy of the country, many people go after trading of the animals ,selling them at highest price just to mint money. Or even killing it before selling because we know that how expensive animals organs could be and how even just the skin of animals can be used for manufacturing purposes or say for preparing chemicals or weapons. Another factor is supply and demand. As our society is progressing, the demand is also increasing and so as the supply. This also increases an illegal employment opportunity for the people interested and thus, increasing their income.

Environmental and Wildlife crimes have caused a great threat to our environment and stood up with many challenges. Both the crimes have previously not been given importance in most of the countries thus, resulting in the lack of awareness and facilitating these crimes at a high speed which are actually a threat for various countries.

“The wildlife crimes has resulted in the loss of species and we need to start preventing it rather than waiting for the crimes to take place”. The organization has and is facing many problems such as jurisdiction where there is no strict implementation. All these factors have posed a serious threat not only to the environment but also to the organization.

SUGGESTIONS

·       To prevent the Environmental and Wildlife crime, first we need to create awareness about these among mass population.

·       The government shall become strict regarding the implementation of the norms in order to prevent it.

·       National organizations shall work together to keep a record of all the information related to both the crimes and to keep a steady pace with the change.

·       The government shall implement the principle of sustainable development due to the increase in the demands of the people in order to use the resources judiciously.

·       The countries where these crimes are prevalent must join the hands of the national organizations to work as a team for the speedy disposal of the cases.

·       Create a new organization which will deal with both the crimes to prevent any haphazard .This will decrease the burden on the judiciary court and will ensure the speedy disposal of the cases.

·       Organize campaigns and various other programs to educate people about both the crimes and teach them how these crimes are harmful for the society .

·       Involving the people of the society by asking them their suggestions or ideas to prevent the crimes.’

·       Plant more and more trees around your place ,on the streets to curb the pollution.

·       Stricter implementation of the guidelines under Wildlife protection act and Environmental act must be enforced.

Environment and Wildlife are important part of our lives. Environment and society are dependent on each other and we as the members of the society have a responsibility to protect our environment. Many laws and regulations have been made by various countries to protect our environment and wildlife. The protection of environment and wildlife has become a necessity today. Our judiciary looks after the constitutional provisions and reviews its own decisions but the strict implementation of the laws is not yet enforced. And that’s what needs to be changed. Unless and until there is strong and strict implementation, the main objectives of protecting the environment and wildlife cannot be achieved. Also the punishment for harming the environment should be made more strict and the convicts should be made to pay for their deeds. Each and every individual should be made aware towards the environment and wildlife because the government alone cannot fulfil the goals so the involvement of people at a large scale is really important. So it should be remembered that this environment belongs to everyone and the responsibility of conserving the environment and wildlife belongs to everyone.

“True benevolence or compassion, extends itself through the whole of existence and sympathizes with the distress of every creature capable of sensation”.

Preserving Tribal Culture

There are about 300 million tribal people globally, and 150 of them are in Asia alone. The tribal and folk art forms have been an integral part of our culture. Tribal artforms have a unique sense of beauty and a different perspective of aesthetics. These are the traditions that are transmitted from generation to generation among the tribes.

Institutions to preserve tribal culture

In India, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs looks after the preservation of tribal culture. Under the ministry, there are Research Institutes and Tribal Welfare Departments to find out ways and techniques to preserve the tribal heritage in the different parts of the country.

There are a number of tribal groups in India, such as Mundas, Oraons, Santals, Gonds, Khonds, Mizos, Nagas, etc. There are also some schemes in India, such as Institutional support for development and marketing of Tribal products, Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub-Scheme, and Marketing of minor forest produce.

The UN Human Rights council in 2006, recognized the rights of the indegenous people and emphasized that “indegenous knowledge, culture and traditional practices contributes to sustainable and equitable development and proper management of the environment.”

Need to preserve Tribal Heritage

The tribal culture has an extremely rich heritage, traditions, folk songs, folk dances and other artforms. For example, Warli painting is one of the famous tribal artforms, its origin can be traced back as early as the 10th century A.D. They have a unique set of cultural traditions and social customs.

But with the rapid growth of industries, and hydroelectric projects, the forests are being cleared. These forests are the home to many tribal people. They get displaced from their original habitat due to clearing of forest areas, which threatens their identity and culture.

As many of the tribal groups reside in or near forest areas, they play a key role in conserving the forest ecosystem. Forests play a crucial role in their daily lifestyle, therefore they efficiently conserve and manage the ecosystem. Many of the tribes believe in nature worship and revere the sacred groves and trees. They have immense knowledge about the edible plants and medicinal properties of them.

The world is gradually turning towards organic farming, and other eco-friendly ways of farming. The tribal culture has great knowledge about surviving by solely depending on nature, without the use of any harmful chemicals or technology. Often the tribal culture is suppressed by the dominant culture of a country. The cultures with such deep knowledge should not be suppressed in the wake of development and modernity.

It is important to strike a middle path, where development can take place without displacing and destroying the tribals and their cultural heritage.
