Gujarat’s GIFT city aims to be financial hub of asia.

India’s newest financial hub is rising from scrubland near the banks of the Sabarmati River once dominated by marsh birds and grazing buffalo.

In the state of Gujarat, just a few glass-fronted towers greet the 20,000 employees of companies such as JPMorgan Chase & Co. and HSBC Holdings Plc who commute in each weekday. Its full name is Gujarat International Finance Tec-City, but it’s more commonly known as GIFT City. It occupies 886 acres between Gujarat’s capital, Gandhinagar, and Ahmedabad, its biggest city. As of October, bankers managed a combined $33 billion here.

An exemption from the many rules and taxes that hamper business and trading in the rest of India. GIFT City is an experiment in free markets nestled inside a $3 trillion economy—one of the world’s fastest-growing—that’s long been reluctant to let its national currency, the rupee, become a plaything of international investors. The goal is to create a welcoming place where India-centric trading that’s moved to Dubai, Mauritius or Singapore can return home.

Japan was the target of Russia, before invading Ukraine.

Months before President Vladimir Putin launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he was planning to attack Japan, according to an alleged letter from a whistleblower at Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB).

In March, an FSB agent, dubbed the ‘Wind of Change’ reportedly wrote a letter to Vladimir Osechkin, a Russian human-rights activist who runs the anti-corruption website Gulagu.net and now lives in exile in France after he was placed on a wanted list by the Russian government.

He is accused of leaking an enormous trove of documents, photos, and videos with hundreds of cases of rape and torture of inmates in Russian prisons directed by prison officials.

Google RCS gets a new update

Google is trying to make its RCS functionality better. It is trying to implement some well-deserved features that are otherwise available in other instant messaging services.

For the unknown, the features include the option to reply to any message with an emoji. This feature has been created to tackle the similar feature that is present in Apple iPhone iMessages users.

But this feature is still in the testing phase, as it is available for very few users currently. This feature will gradually make it to your phone if you are using the RCS feature. But there are still some disruptions that can be due to some bugs. The disruptions are in the sense that responses from some iPhone users will still show up as a separate message in the chat history.

Google has been trying to make RCS the default choice for its users for quite some now, but it has not been able to succeed in its efforts. The main reason for such a situation is the fact that other instant messaging services can implement any new feature very quickly. There is also the introduction of new features for the engagement of users regularly on other instant messaging platforms.

On the contrary, there have been some drastic changes to social media websites, especially Twitter after the famous billionaire Elon Musk took over its top position. There will be some changes in the social media company also. Now, various ex-employees have been fired right after Musk took over the office. These layoffs are being seen as a sign of some difficult times ahead for the social media company.

https://unsplash.com/photos/zhZydTyNMPg

These layoffs are also being followed by some employees being called back to the office. So there is much confusion regarding the current scenario of the jobs in the tech field.

On the other hand, there is also speculation that Google will lay off 10000 employees from its team. All of these changes are being seen as steps to tackle the slowdown.

Apart from all this, there are also changes in the Pixel line-up which are witnessed in the market. First of all, the Google flagship lineup has changed from Qualcomm chipset to its very own Tensor chipset.

This has created questions in various minds that what will be the next step that will make Google more independent of its suppliers. The in-house development also means that future google products will make them more Google-centric. The devices will have more professional support. The ecosystem that Google is struggling to maintain within itself will become possible as more devices will fall in line with Google guidelines.

All of these changes are going to bring about some much-needed change in the Google ecosystem. The software part of the Google Android OS will become better. The software part will become more user-friendly. The changes will keep on improving as more updates arrive, and it may also encourage more users to accept the RCS as a new member of the technology world. It can also make the SMS chapter more interesting for the users.

WORLD KINDNESS DAY

World Kindness Day is an international holiday recognized yearly on November 13 as part of the World Kindness Movement. It is observed in several nations, including the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates. On this day, we can emphasise one of the most fundamental and unifying human traits. Try to spread the word about this crucial quality that unites people of all backgrounds on this day honouring the positive possibilities of both significant and minute acts of kindness.

HISTORY OF WORLD KINDNESS DAY

World Kindness Day was established as an awareness day by the World Kindness Movement. The organization was officially recognized as an NGO under Swiss legislation in 2019, but its origins date back to a convention held in Tokyo in 1997. A number of institutions and groups from countries including Australia, Thailand, the United States, and the United Kingdom met at this conference due to their dedication to fostering kindness in society.

The Society Kindness Movement was established as a result of this incident, and their written founding statement contained a commitment to “join together to build a kinder and more compassionate world.” To make this possible, they would allow the inaugural World Kindness Day to be established in 1998.

The mission of World Kindness Day is to “encourage acts of compassion in the community, focusing on the positive force and the common thread of kindness which binds us,” according to the World Kindness Movement. Since it was founded more than 20 years ago, the day has earned genuine global recognition; events related to the day have attracted participants from every continent with a population. These include events like dance parties, concerts, and the distribution of “kindness cards.”

The World Kindness Movement still aspires to receive official UN recognition even though the day is now observed on an unofficial basis. World Kindness Day would join the ranks of recognized holidays like the International Day of Peace, Human Rights Day, and World Health Day if the group is successful in its endeavors.

5 FACTS ABOUT KINDNESS

1. National Day of Unity

World Kindness Day is celebrated in over 28 countries, even though it is not linked with any religion or political movement.

2. Being kind pays off

People who are always kind create 23% less cortisol, the stress hormone; as a result of decreased stress levels, people who practice kindness age slower than the general population.

3. Generosity spreads.

According to Stanford Social Neuroscience Laboratory researchers, people are more likely to treat others kindly when they observe others behaving kindly.

4. Blood pressure is reduced.

When you experience emotional warmth, your body releases the hormone oxytocin, which dilates your blood vessels and lowers your blood pressure.

How to Blow Up a Pipeline

There is no magic bullet or immediate remedy to tackle climate change.  Only the right kind of conversations and interventions are the key.  Through ‘How to Blow Up a Pipeline’ we are trying to provoke the right conversation on this burning issue, said Director of the movie Daniel Goldhaber.

While interacting with the media and festival delegates at the ‘Table Talk’ session by PIB on the side-lines of the 53rd International Film Festival of India in Goa, Daniel Goldhaber resolutely expressed that the film neither intends to support nor explore environment extremism. “We are trying to understand why some are being pushed to engage in environmental extremism. It also tries to be frank about the consequences of such extreme acts,” he added.  The film had its Asian Premiere at IFFI53.

Asserting that conversations on climatic changes and tactics to face the same are very limited, Daniel added, “Such conversations are predominantly led by corporations and countries profiting from the impact of climate change.”

Emphasizing that climatic issue is an ocean we haven’t really explored, Daniel opined that the consequences of climatic change are not being felt immediately by those countries which cause the reason, but in other places in another place of the planet. “There is a massive responsibility on us to deal with that,” he added.

How to Blow Up a Pipeline’- A taut and timely thriller portrays the story of a crew of young environmental activists who with their radical resolve dares to execute a mission to sabotage an oil pipeline. They engage in the act as a reciprocation to the deeds meted out by the system resulting in climate crisis.

The movie is an adaptation of Andreas Malm’s 2021 book, How to Blow Up a Pipeline- Learning to fight in a world of fire’. According to Daniel, the book basically tries to advocate that every social justice movement in the global history in the last decades has had at least some component of property destruction and sabotage. “By making a movie on the book, we wanted to see what would happen if we dramatize the theme though it is fundamentally different from the book, he added.

Narrating the reason for making a movie on a subject, which is the defining issues of our times, Daniel Goldhaber said he had always been looking for a story on climate activism since he is so accustomed to the subject. “My parents are climate scientists. I have been brought up in an environment knowing climatic changes and the activisms associated with it.”

Sharing his joy over the screening of his movie in IFFI53, Daniel said the film is an American film, completely based on an American concept adapted from an European book, but it is always great to get the movie propagated at Asian as well as other countries since the issue is universal.

Relevance of cricket throughout the year

Gone are the days when we had the opportunity to watch our favourite national cricket team play a game or a series in a year. Now, we have cricket throughout the year. Teams visit different countries and play several series in a year. Now the series also have various duration. Some are very short and some are of very long duration. It appears as if cricket has lost its shine.

Now, players play throughout the year. If they are free, then they take part in some domestic tournaments all over the globe. IPL has been one of the biggest influencers in such a manner. It gives the players a platform to showcase their skills and also provides them with a chance to earn big amounts. They are also paid handsomely in such tournaments and sometimes. Even get recognition in their respective countries.

But all of this is slowly creating problems. Now, the question arises that how can this round-the-clock behaviour be stopped. Is there any way that can ensure that cricket stays relevant for a longer duration? The new format of T20 is also taking the shine off the test matches.

With the exit of India, in T20 World Cup the talks are on several sections of society giving their opinion. The team reached the semi-final and then aced a 10- wicket defeat from the England cricket team.

https://unsplash.com/photos/oDs_AxeR5g4

After this defeat, questions are raised about the performance of the team. A blame game is also going on. Some blame the batsmen, some blame the bowlers, some blame the lack of experience and some even blame the coach.

But at the core, there is also some positive result in this year’s performance. The younger lot of the team has performed well to some extent. The team did reach the semi-final and this is a good sign. It can give some confidence to the team before they proceed to the ODI World Cup in 2023.

For the preparation part, the Indian team which is playing in NZ currently, has some changes. For starters, Dravid has been replaced by Laxman as the new head coach of the Indian cricket team.

For the time being, the team has been able to win the T20 series against the NZ team. There were three matches, out of which the first one was washed out. The second one was won by the Indian team. Then the third match ended in a tie. So, this results in the Indian team winning the series. Now, it’s time for the ODI series. The series will better prepare the team for the next year’s ODI World Cup.

After this series, there is also a series against the Bangladesh team in Bangladesh. It will also be helpful as the series will be played in friendly conditions. Another plus point is that as the next year’s World Cup will be played in India, so familiar conditions will give more exposure to the youngsters to play in the single-day format of the popular game.

What is Neighborhood Planning?

What is Neighborhood Planning?

Neighborhood Planning empowers you to plan your community by deciding what you want your neighborhood to look like and defining how your neighborhood will grow and change in the future. to the community.

Neighborhood plans give communities the opportunity to make suggestions that:

• Develop a shared vision for the neighborhood

• Select where to build new homes, shops, offices, and other developments

• Identify and protect green spaces in the area

• Develop new buildings

Having a say in what it should look like Neighborhood planning gives communities the opportunity to develop their own neighborhoods, but neighborhood planning is subject to both the national planning guidelines and the guidelines contained in the area’s regional plans. Must be compliant. It is important to mention that Neighborhood Plans cannot interfere with developments already agreed upon or already agreed upon by Congress’ Local Plans.

Who can initiate Neighborhood Planning?

We all understand the need for neighborhood planning. However, this can only be initiated by the responsible parish or city administration who will work with us and take responsibility for the progress of the necessary work.

If you don’t have a district or city council, you can start a neighborhood forum (community organization) to fill this role. The same measures for neighborhood planning activities apply to both designated neighborhood forums and community/town councils. Membership qualifications are as follows:

• Persons living in the relevant neighborhood

• Persons working there

• Members of elected district councils within the geographic area to which the area relates

Groups act individually or collectively can do. A key authority should be appointed. This website refers to all groups that undertake neighborhood planning activities as “neighborhood planning groups.”

Types of Neighborhood Planning Activities:

There are three types of neighborhood planning that your community may be working on. In line with your area’s existing planning guidelines, your neighborhood planning group will develop further guidelines for the future development and use of land in your neighborhood. This may include general policies or site-specific policies.

Your local development plan provides general guidelines that neighborhood plans should follow, but neighborhood plans may provide more detailed information. Future building uses will be evaluated against neighborhood plans and other relevant government plans.

Neighborhood plans must pass certain tests (called “basic conditions”) before they are valid. For more information about frameworks, see Neighborhood Planning Tips: Understanding Frameworks.

Before a neighborhood plan can go into effect, it must undergo independent scrutiny and be supported by a majority of residents through a referendum. Once the plan is implemented, planning decisions for the area will take into account those guidelines and those set in the current regional plan.

Neighborhood Development Contracts

Neighborhood Development Contracts allow communities to identify development proposals that can be implemented without going through the formal planning application process. For example:

• Additions of a specific size or type

• Major development projects

• New homes (including affordable ones)

• New shops or pubs

• Employment units

Building Right Allows local governments to grant planning permission to build small housing estates, community facilities, or shops. The benefits from this remain with your community. B. Providing or maintaining playgrounds, community centers, or providing affordable housing.

Any local community organization, not just boroughs, city councils, neighborhood forums, can create community laws to create order.

What Neighborhood Plans Cannot Do

Neighborhood plans cannot block developments that have already been agreed upon in local plans or for which planning permission has already been granted.

Delhi Aftab-Shraddha Murder Case: Here’s The Full Story!

Delhi Aftab-Shraddha Murder Case:Here’s The Full Story!

One case that puzzled and shocked us a week ago was the Aftab-Shraddha Delhi murder. For starters, Delhi police have accused Aftab her amine of murdering the family’s girlfriend, Shraddha, and then dissecting her body and dumping her in the woodlands of Delhi over the course of her 18 days. of Poonawala was arrested. The accused allegedly tried to dupe the Delhi police in the early stages of the investigation. But even though he removed the physical evidence, the digital trail he left behind helped police uncover the truth of the case and uncover his suspicions of the crime.

Sources Aftab and Shraddha met through his Bumble dating app. They decide to live together after Shraddha’s parents express their disagreement about inter-religious relations. On May 18, the day Aftab allegedly murdered her Shraddha, the couple apparently got into an altercation over household expenses. The fighting is said to have escalated to such an extent that Aftab strangled Shraddha to death between 8:00 and 10:00 pm that night. Aftab allegedly kept his Shraddha’s body in his home overnight and went to buy a knife and a refrigerator the next day. According to an affidavit to the police, Aftab dismembered his Shraddha’s body into 35 pieces, stored them in a newly purchased refrigerator, and dumped them in the Mehrauli forest area over a period of 18 days.

Unfortunately, Shraddha became estranged from his family during this time as he opposed his relationship with them. So it took him six months before they realized something was wrong. Shraddha is said to have only been in touch with her mother after she confided that Aftab would abuse her. Shraddha’s friends also claim that Aftab beat her. Details about Aftab’s alleged psychopathic behavior after murder shocked people
