Annular Solar Eclipse to take place today; Ring of fire to be visible in parts of North India

A rare celestial event, annular solar eclipse popularly called as ring of fire eclipse will be visible today. The first solar eclipse of this year takes place on the summer solstice, which is the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere.

People living along the path of annular eclipse passing through Anupgarh and Suratgarh in Rajasthan, Sirsa, Jakhal, Kurukshetra and Yamunanagar in Haryana and Dehradun, Tapowan and Joshimath in Uttarakhand will be able to see the annular phase. People in rest of India can witness a partial eclipse.

When Moon comes between the Sun and Earth, the shadow falls on the surface of the Earth. The Sun is entirely covered by the Moon for a brief period. Those places that are engulfed by the dark, dense umbral shadow of the Moon experience the total solar eclipse.

In the regions that plunge into the soft diffused penumbral shadow of the Moon experience the partial eclipse. In all solar eclipse the Sun, Moon and Earth may not be perfectly aligned and then there is a partial eclipse. When the three celestial bodies happen to be in a straight line, there is total solar eclipse.

Ministry of Science and Technology has urged people not to use sunglasses, goggles, exposed x-ray sheet or lampblack over a glass as they are not safe. It said, viewing the Sun’s image on the surface of the water is also not safe.

The Ministry said, welders glass 13 or 14 can be used to see the Sun directly with naked eyes. People can make a pinhole in a card sheet and hold it under the Sun, at some distance, keep a screen of white paper. Image of the Sun can be seen on this sheet. By adjusting the gap between the sheet and the screen, the image can be made larger.

People can look at the shadow of a bush or a tree. With the gaps between the leaves acting like a pinhole, numerous images of the eclipsed Sun can be seen on the ground. People can use a strainer for making pinhole images.

People can also cover the compact makeup kit mirror with black paper, with a small hole at the centre. Reflect the image of the Sun on a distant wall in shadow. People can get a projected image of the eclipsed Sun.

Bhuj will be the first town in India to see the beginning of the eclipse 9.58 a.m. The eclipse ends four hours later at Dibrugarh, Assam at 2.29 p.m. Ghersana at the western boundary of India will be the first to witness the annular phase of the eclipse at 11.50 a.m.

It will last for 30 seconds. Kalanka peak in Uttarakhand will be the last major landmark to see the annular eclipse at 12.10 p.m. lasting for 28 seconds.

India says China’s untenable claim with regard to LAC not acceptable

India has said that attempts by the Chinese side to now advance exaggerated and untenable claims with regard to Line of Actual Control are not acceptable. It said, the position with regard to the Galwan Valley area has been historically clear.

In response to queries on the statement issued by the Chinese Spokesperson  on the events in the Galwan valley area, External Affairs Ministry Spokesman Anurag Srivastava said such claims are not in accordance with China’s own position in the past.

He said, Indian troops are fully familiar with the alignment of the LAC in all sectors of the India-China border areas, including in the Galwan Valley.

They abide by it scrupulously and the Indian side has never undertaken any actions across the LAC. In fact, they have been patrolling this area for a long time without any incident.

All infrastructure built by the Indian side is naturally on its own side of the LAC.

The Spokesman said that since early May this year, the Chinese side has been hindering India’s normal, traditional patrolling pattern in this area.

This had resulted in a face-off which was addressed by the ground commanders as per the provisions of the bilateral agreements and protocols.

The Spokesman said, the two sides are in regular touch and early meetings of military and diplomatic mechanisms are currently being discussed.

Harsh Reality of Our Society: Racism….

Racism describes virtually anything having to do with racial conflict. The declining significance of race, symbolic racism, colour blind racism, and unconscious racism missed the structural regressions brought on by the ‘Southern Strategy’ to mask indirect or covert ways to continue racial oppression. A reconsideration of the theory of Racism calls for a strategic approach to race relations research.

Racism is the belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, that a person’s social and moral traits are predetermined by his or her inborn biological characteristics. Racial separatism is the belief, most of the time based on racism, that different races should remain segregated and apart from one another. Racism has existed throughout human history. It may be defined as the hatred of one person by another — or the belief that another person is less than human — because of skin color, language, customs, place of birth or any factor that supposedly reveals the basic nature of that person. It has influenced wars, slavery, the formation of nations, and legal codes.

One important feature of racism, especially toward Blacks and immigrant groups, is clear in attitudes regarding slaves and slavery. Jews are usually seen by anti-Semites as subhuman but also superhuman: devilishly cunning, skilled, and powerful. Blacks and others are seen by racists as merely subhuman, more like beasts than men. If the focus of anti-Semitism is evil, the focus of racism is inferiority — directed toward those who have sometimes been considered to lack even the ability to be evil (though in the 20th century, especially, victims of racism are often considered morally degraded).

All of these arguments are based on a false understanding of race; in fact, contemporary scientists are not agreed on whether race is a valid way to classify people. What may seem to be significant “racial” differences to some people — skin color, hair, facial shape — are not of much scientific significance. In fact, genetic differences within a so-called race may be greater than those between races. One philosopher writes: “There are few genetic characteristics to be found in the population of England that are not found in similar proportions in Zaire or in China; those differences that most deeply affect us in our dealings with each other are not to any significant degree biologically determined.”

In North America and apartheid-era South Africa, racism dictated that different races (chiefly blacks and whites) should be segregated from one another; that they should have their own distinct communities and develop their own institutions such as churches, schools, and hospitals; and that it was unnatural for members of different races to marry. Historically, those who openly professed or practiced racism held that members of low-status races should be limited to low-status jobs and that members of the dominant race should have exclusive access to political power, economic resources, high-status jobs, and unrestricted civil rights. The lived experience of racism for members of low-status races includes acts of physical violence, daily insults, and frequent acts and verbal expressions of contempt and disrespect, all of which have profound effects on self-esteem and social relationships.

By the 19th century, racism had matured and spread around the world. In many countries, leaders began to think of the ethnic components of their own societies, usually religious or language groups, in racial terms and to designate “higher” and “lower” races. Those seen as the low-status races, especially in colonized areas, were exploited for their labour, and discrimination against them became a common pattern in many areas of the world. The expressions and feelings of racial superiority that accompanied colonialism generated resentment and hostility from those who were colonized and exploited, feelings that continued even after independence.

Despite constitutional and legal measures aimed at protecting the rights of racial minorities in the United States, the private beliefs and practices of many Americans remained racist, and some group of assumed lower status was often made a scapegoat. That tendency has persisted well into the 21st century.

Because, in the popular mind, “race” is linked to physical differences among peoples, and such features as dark skin colour have been seen as markers of low status, some experts believe that racism may be difficult to eradicate. Indeed, minds cannot be changed by laws, but beliefs about human differences can and do change, as do all cultural elements.

5 Steps to Create the Perfect Outline

The writing process can be stressful, especially when you don’t know where to start. That’s why you need to begin with an outline.
An outline is simply a framework for presenting the main and supporting ideas for a particular subject or topic. Outlines help you develop a logical, coherent structure for your paper, making it easier to translate your ideas into words and sentences. Once your outline is complete, you’ll have a clear picture of how you want your paper to develop.
Here are five steps to a strong outline:
  1. Choose Your Topic and Establish Your Purpose. A lot of writers struggle to define the initial focus for their paper. Trying to come up with a topic from a list of possibilities is a difficult task, but understanding your essay’s larger purpose is just as important. Having a goal or objective in mind will help you set guidelines and limitations on what is appropriate content for your essay. What do you want your readers to learn from reading your paper? What do you want them to understand about your topic? These questions can help you focus your ideas around the specific take-home messages you want to leave with your readers.
  2. Create A List Of Main Ideas. This is the brainstorming part of the writing process. The goal here is to come up with a list of essential ideas that you are planning to present in your article or essay. This step can be a list of arguments to answer a question, a list of resources, or it could even include tips on how to do something. No matter what the topic is, this step gives you a chance to get all of your ideas out and have a list of possible topics that you can touch on in your essay.
  3. Organize Your Main Ideas. The goal of this step is to rearrange the list of ideas that you came up with in Step 2, putting them in an order that will make sense to you and the reader. There are many different strategies for organizing your ideas, and these will vary depending on the type of essay you are writing. Some common organizational structures are cause and effect, classification, chronological and process. Once you have put your ideas in order, you’re well on your way to developing the structure of your essay.
  4. Flush Out Your Main Points. After you have decided on the order of your main points, you’ll want to add some relevant content to help support each main idea. Your goal in this step is to expand upon your original ideas so that your reader has a better understanding of each point. You can add more detail to each concept by including examples, quotes, facts, theories or personal anecdotes. While this step may seem tedious, it will make your drafting process much easier. You’ll save time in the long run because your paper will be more logical and focused and your ideas will be fully developed.
  5. Review and Adjust. Most people would think that after step four your outline is done, but that is not the case. Writing is a repetitive process, and all good writers continue to review and revise their essay until they feel it is the best it can possibly be. The same goes for an outline; it should be like a roadmap that you use to direct your essay exactly where you want it to go. Make sure that you’ve included all of your ideas and established the connections between each of your main points.
Although outlining may seem like a long process, it will make the writing process a much easier experience.  Once you have your outline completed, all the hard work is done. You’re ready to start putting your ideas into full sentences and writing a logical, well-developed essay.

History behind Father’s Day…

In our society, we celebrate different days about different personalities like Mother’s Day, Teacher’s Day, and women’s Day. The main purpose of celebrating these days is to pay tribute to those personalities, Likewise, every year the father’s day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June. In ancient times, this day had celebrated on 19 of March as Saint Joseph Day, but in present time, every year the father’s day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June this tradition of celebrating Father’s day was started after an incident.

In 1907 many men were died in an explosion occurred in a mine in West Virginia. The Father’s day was started in the remembrance of these men, Sonora Dodd from Washington had introduced this term “Father’s Day” in 1909. Sonora Dodd had very interesting story related to Father’s Day. She used to love her father William Jackson. Her mother died in her childhood, so her father brought her up along with her 5 siblings. William Jackson died in a war. When Sonora Dodd had heard about Mother’s Day, she told the pastor of local Church that

“Similar Day should be celebrated for dads too”.

Therefore, she proposed 5th June for Father’s Day, as that day was her father’s Birthday, but there was not enough time left for ceremony, So pastor denied her proposal and then this ceremony took place on third Sunday of June. At start, Sonora Dodd could not get any success to advertise this Day, so she left advertising it and she went to arts institute of Chicago for studies. In 1930 she came back to her city and started advertising Father’s Day once again. This time she got very success in it, because she got the support of Local Businessmen. Father’s Day was an opportunity to local businessmen. Specially for those who belongs to gift selling businesses. After 1930, Father’s Day become a commercial day.

Islam has also stress on the importance of parents, especially for father, it is said that ” Father’s desire is Allah’s Desire and father’s anger is Allah’s anger “In our society, we openly show our love to Mothers but maybe it is not in the case of fathers. The thing we need to do is that we should not only show our love to our parents but should also take a great care of them in old age. My Friends, the father is only man who sacrifice everything for your need and your desires. Today if your father is alive and he forbid you from anything, then for this blessing you should be very thankful to your GOD. My Friends, the importance of this thing can be asked from those who do not have fathers with them. The father is only man who is the first hero of his son, similarly he is the first love of his daughter.

Confession on Father’s day: ‘Life of My Life”

If you are reading this please make sure that you wish your dad before you start. Just a few words from your mouth will ensure your father’s happiness. Don’t be shy to confess. Be confident and confess your true feelings. Don’t try to speak what you thought, try to confess what you are going through at that moment. Don’t mug up the quotes to impress your father. Because father never looks at literature because feelings matter the most.

“By the time a man realizes that may be his father was right, he usually has a son who thinks he’s wrong.” One of the best quote about every father. We can’t confess it in the way it was written. Many of us can’t even speak off what we feel about him infront of him. The shy is due to the respect and gratitude we have inside ourselves. The thing is we can’t let it off and speak about him to him.

Dad isn’t a ad to add a quotation and wish him. True feelings can never be framed. The gut feeling is real and normal. The cinematic dialauge version such as Sons first hero and daughters first love cannot happen in real. The difficulty lies in expressing ourselves as we thought. We can excel in n number of things and could do exactly the way we want to. But coming to the confession of our feelings to the true loved ones we stammer. The love he gave and the sacrifice he made can’t be thanked by just thanking him. We owe him the life. Our life is just some chromosome without his life.

Being thankful to him is just a small thing and least thing that we could do. Never make him feel low for something we did in a rush. Father understands us without justification. Respect his feelings and be responsible for the life of your life. Your birth might have a reason or you might have a reason to live but don’t forget that he is the reason for you life. Never leave him for any reasons. Reasons are just excuses for the mistake. Never make him unhappy. If he is sad be with him. The only thing every father atmost cares is nothing but confidence. He doesn’t want his child to be successful, he only wants to see happiness in your face. He gave us smile on our face and we should not let it leave his face. Father took care of whole family by working hard and tried to hide his troubles with a fake smile. Never give that fake smile he showed to us to hide his hard work. He worked hard to ensure you not to work harder. He made himself work hard to make it easy for you.

My father had struggled to study so hard without his father. He never compromised to make me study. He made sure that I got what I wanted. Today some force pushed me to confess the father’s day to my dad. Atlast I wished my father without shy. We are out of words when we require the most. I am very lucky to have him as my father. He was never angry on me. He made me know the value of patience. He is so patient that he understands everything and listens to others words very keenly.

What is special about today…?

Solar_eclipse_1999_4_NR

Today 21 June, The sun sheds light directly on the Tropic of Cancer on June 21. From March to September, the northern hemisphere gets more sunlight than the southern one. June 21 is the day when the northern hemisphere receives the most direct sunlight, which causes the day to last longer than any other day in the year, known as Solar eclipse. This year, the annual solar eclipse will occur on 21 June. According to Time and Date, the eclipse will begin at 9.15 am IST and will end at 15.04 pm. The maximum eclipse will be visible at 12.10 pm. In the Northern Hemisphere, where it is the longest day of the year in terms of daylight, the June solstice is also called the summer solstice.

Why it is the longest day ?, because Since the Earth rotates on the axis, the North of the Equator receives more direct sunlight between the month of March and September, hence Summer is experienced during the time. Is there any effect on humans? yes during the total solar eclipse, the total eclipse may last only a short period of time, and if you are looking towards the sun as the moon moves away from blocking the sun, you might get a solar burn on your retina which can cause permanent damage to your eyes.

The Father’s day

Find the lyrics online, print them, and have the family sing along with him and, Have fun with a guessing game in which someone asks the father about his favorite things: his favorite color, recipe, movie, sports team, song, etc.

People see professional athletes as idols. Many of them started with nothing and become highly successful due to dedication and hard work. Famous athletes inspire and motivate people to go after their dreams and not be afraid. But sometimes we forget, that world-famous sportsmen are still humans: they also need to motivate themselves to achieve more.
Here are the main reasons top athletes stay motivated:
1. CompetitionOne of the most reasons popular sportsmen work incredibly hard to raised their skills and performance stats is competition with other athletes.
Let’s use the example of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. They are two outstanding footballers who play for the different teams. They both have numerous awards and million-dollar paychecks. Even though everyone portrays them as rivals, they do not have any conflicts in real life, they use the accomplishments of each other as motivation and incentive to be better.
2. Desire to Be BetterTo regular people, it may seem that famous sportsmen like Virat Kohli (cricket) or Serena Williams (tennis) have perfect lives. They, indeed, have everything a person can possibly need: luxurious mansions, expensive clothes, and sports cars. However, when you achieve all these things, you only want more. That is why rich sportsmen buy numerous houses, expensive clothes, and accessories. A person’s desires cannot stay the same: they can only grow.
3. Fear of FailureAnother thing that motivates athletes to always be on top of their game is a fear of failure.
It is a known fact: it is difficult to reach the top, but it is very easy to fall to the bottom.
Look at Diego Maradona, one of the greatest footballers in history. He had everything, money, fame, talent. But he started using drugs and failed the dope test twice. All the world watched him fall. This traumatic experience forced him to end his football career. Fear of failure is not the best motivator, but it is very effective.
As for the tricks that sportsmen use to stay motivated, they are the same methods that work for everybody:
1. Discipline
One of the foremost effective tricks that employment for everyone is discipline. When someone has a busy schedule and each minute is valuable, there is usually no room for depression and laziness. As we all know, famous athletes have busy lives with practices every day during the season. Disciple helps to remain on track and remember what their goals are.
2. Pleasure
We have just discussed the importance of discipline, and now it is a pleasure that matters. One does not go without the other: it is all about finding the balance.

Even for such strong-minded people as professional athletes, it would be impossible to always have a tight schedule with no rest. Finding something that brings you pleasure is crucial.
An athlete can be exhausted from a difficult sports season, but a couple of weeks on vacation with family and friends can change everything. When a person is stressed and apathetic, the best solution is rest. It will help to revive strength and find the motivation again.
3. Setting High Goals
Last, but not least: athletes know how to dream big. We have mentioned that desires only grow with success. That is why formulating the goals correctly is key. And professional sportsmen, who have achieved everything through hard work and dedication, know exactly what they want and are not afraid to take it.
