Why you should read ‘The Lowland’ by Jhumpa Lahiri

Like her previous works, this is also a saga of Indians in the states away from the motherland. This time we follow three generations of the Mitra family.

The book starts in the 1950’s Tollygunge, Calcutta. Subhash and Udayan Mitra, born fifteen months apart , true soulmates in all regards. Udayan is brave, impulsive and ‘blind to self-restraint,like an animal incapable of perceiving certain colors. But subhash strove to minimize his existence, as other animals merged with bark or blades of grass ‘

The first 20 pages are comfortable and happy. We see subhash and udayan grow up together, get their education and make habits together.
The lowland i.e. the place between the the two ponds a metaphor for the two brothers
Just like the lowland there are more geographical characters, like the tolly club, the mosque near their house.
In 1960s, udayan is drawn towards the Naxalite movement. He is passionate about the movement and  chooses to work for it abandoning his studies wheras subhash earns a scholarship to study in the states and moves to Rhode Island to study and subsequently get a job as a professor.

Years go by, udayan gets married and subhash learns to live alone.

Everything that can go wrong, goes wrong and the two brothers never see each other again. The story goes back and forth from Calcutta to states. Once again in similar jhumpa lahiri fashion we follow generations of characters while still staying true and attached to first generation.
We start from Subhash and udayan, to their daughter Bela and get glimpses of their mother bijolis life.
This book is no way a happy book. There are violent details of the naxalite movement in the 1960s and its repercussions on the  brothers.
Then the story shifts to Rhode Island, Subhash Mitra  starts a new life as a husband and father. He carries secrets and lies and is burdened by it.We also get a namesake-like parent-child scene of confrontation and reconciliation.

Overall, the book is a good read and will stay with you.If you enjoy books that stretch across generations, this is definitely a must read!

Ps : There’s a NDTV interview of Jhumpa lahiri in the real tolly club, check it out!

Our earth,our habit,our home

Since 1974,World Environment Day has been celebrated every year on 5th June. People from more than 100 countries celebrate this day. Furthermore, the world environment day is run by the United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP). Since the year 1973. Above all the main purpose of celebrating this day was to spread awareness. The awareness was about the conservation of our environment.

World environment day Essay – Our environment is one of the most important aspects to survive on this planet. Moreover, it is the only thing that can make life sustainable. Without it, we cannot survive even a single day. For instance, our skin will burn, the lungs will get ruptured, our blood pressure would rise.

Moreover to also take various preventive measures to avert the effects of Global warming. Since we all know that GLOBAL WARMING is the root cause of the ruin of our environment. Therefore it is our duty to protect our environment. And stop all the exploitation that is destroying it. Because in the end, it is our basic need for our survival and our generations ahead.

Our environment is getting damaged due to pollution which is affecting very badly towards human resources. The earth is getting damaged due to humans as we are polluting the environment .

Humans impact the physical environment in many ways:

overpopulation, pollution, burning fossil fuels, and deforestation. Changes like these have triggered climate change, soil erosion, poor air quality, and undrinkable water.

We need to plant more and more sappling so that we can get oxygen. Now a days we are not able to get oxygen properly. Due to this covid we faced lack of oxygen. This is very bad situation. This is happened due to humans as we are affecting the environment by cutting trees.

SLOGANS :-

• Save earth to save life.

• Don’t let future dry up.

• Keep clean and go green.

• Global warming is global warning.

• Save the earth by afforestation and don’t let the trees cut down. Afforestation is the best way to increase our resources for the present and future generations.

• Deforestation effects the environment. Oxgyen levels decreases as pollution is increasing due to cutting down of trees.

• We need to do more afforestation and protect our environment.

Reuse , Recycle , Reduce these are the main points to be noted so that we can protect our environment.

PLANT FOR THE PLANET”.

POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME

Introduction

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is a condition where the ovary produces an abnormal amount of androgens, male hormones that are present in a small amount in women. The name polycystic describes that there are numbers of small cysts that are forming in the ovaries. PCOS doesn’t always mean that you will be diagnosed with cysts. However, some women are diagnosed with cysts even without this disorder. When a woman doesn’t produce enough hormones for ovulation, the ovaries can develop small cysts and these cysts release hormones called androgens. Women having PCOS are seen with a high level of androgens, which leads to an unusual or irregular mensuration cycle.

What causes PCOS?

There is no particular cause of PCOS. However, because of this disorder, many women develop insulin resistance. This means that the body cannot use insulin well, which leads to the build-up of insulin in the body and may cause higher androgen levels. Obesity is also one of the reasons for an increased level of insulin. PCOS may also run in families. It’s common for sisters or a mother and daughter to have PCOS.

What are the symptoms of PCOS?

  • Missed periods, irregular periods, or very light periods
  • Ovaries that are large or have many cysts
  • Excess body hair, including the chest, stomach, and back (hirsutism)
  • Weight gain, especially around the belly (abdomen)
  • Acne or oily skin
  • Male-pattern baldness or thinning hair
  • Infertility
  • Small pieces of excess skin on the neck or armpits (skin tags)
  • Dark or thick skin patches on the back of the neck, in the armpits, and under the breasts

How is PCOS diagnosed?

PCOS diagnosis process generally starts with a:

1) Pelvic exam will check the health of the reproductive organs from inside and outside.

2) Ultrasound will check the size of the ovaries and the number of cysts present. The test can also look at the thickness of the lining of the uterus (endometrium).

3) Blood tests will check the level of androgens and other hormones in our blood. This also helps to examine the level of glucose in our blood. We can also get our cholesterol and triglyceride levels checked.

How is PCOS treated?

Treatment for PCOS depends on a number of factors. These may include your age, how severe your symptoms are, and your overall health. The type of treatment may also depend on whether you want to become pregnant in the future.

If you do plan to become pregnant, your treatment may include:

  • A change in diet and activity. A healthy diet and more physical activity can help you lose weight and reduce your symptoms. They can also help your body use insulin more efficiently, lower blood glucose levels, and may help you ovulate.
  • Medications to cause ovulation. Medications can help the ovaries to release eggs normally. These medications also have certain risks. They can increase the chance of multiple births (twins or more). And they can cause ovarian hyperstimulation. This is when the ovaries release too many hormones. It can cause symptoms such as abdominal bloating and pelvic pain.

If you do not plan to become pregnant, your treatment may include:

  • Birth control pills. These help to control menstrual cycles, lower androgen levels and reduce acne.
  • Diabetes medication. This is often used to lower insulin resistance in PCOS. It may also help reduce androgen levels, slow hair growth, and help you ovulate more regularly.
  • A change in diet and activity. A healthy diet and more physical activity can help you lose weight and reduce your symptoms. They can also help your body use insulin more efficiently, lower blood glucose levels, and may help you ovulate.
  • Medications to treat other symptoms. Some medications can help reduce hair growth or acne.

Complaints Never End!

What is the most important goal of you as a person? Having a perfect life, Or a happy one? Do we even have proper definitions to these terms available. Why is it so that we all are always just complaining, being sad about something or other going wrong in our lives. Why do we only wish to count the things we are lacking and not the ones which are present for us everyday. Well, may be because we are too busy in proving ourselves superior these days that we just couldn’t accept if anyone around possess anything better than us. And the fun fact is the other person is trying to do the same thing, and thus they try to hide their shortcomings and outshine themselves while actually they are into the same thought as yours. Moreover, in today’s scenarios people not only tend to show their superiority by their possessions but also in the problems of their life. Say, if you go to someone to vent about your problems they will try to demean the depth of your problem and describe their’s as a major issue.

WHAT IS THE ISSUE WITH US?

!ACCEPTANCE! The most important thing to have in life. And the thing most lacked by us, humans. It is the one thing which can solve 50% of our stress because as they say ” It’s all in the mind”. Accepting doesn’t mean to learn to settle for less, or to stop working to improve or to grow. Having a simple meaning, still a very crucial term to understand. As when interpreted wrong it could even make you resistant to your own growth. Acceptance is the the gratitude for good things and priviledges we have even if it’s those basic things like food to eat which thousands of people in the world are still deprived of, shelter to live while there are so many who still have no roof on their heads and still keep lurking here and there, clothes to wear that still is very hard to even afford for some and books to learn, as education being the strongest weapon to survive in this World has to be considered a basic necessity for all. However, many of them doesn’t even understand the meaning of this term. Acceptance is the sense of Belongingness we get from our beloved family and friends around us, the ones who care for us and deserve to be loved back. The true value of such relations is understood by the individuals who have no friends, by the kids who lost their families/ parents at an early age, those old age people whose children separated from them. Thus, instead of trying to make them feel inferior or boasting about oneself we should be celebrating ans supporting each other with love and care as we humas are here for each other, by each other. Acceptance is the fact that life doesn’t need to be perfect and happiness doesn’t come from luxuries. Rather, it solely depends on your state of mind in every situation.

Life is made up of both, JOYS and SORROWS..

Problems and situations has to be present each day! Or else what else you could be doing with the time regularly. Being stressed regularly is a burden, likewise enjoying regularly will bore you with it someday soon too. Imbalance works nowhere, and that is why you get both joys and sorrows equally or based on the decisions you make in life. This is what our lives are all about, as days of relaxation and entertainment are there to make us realise the beauty of our life. The troublesome days are here to provide you with lessons of life, to build your knowledge of how you solve and create, to let you grow. Solving problematic situations gets you acknowledged with the opportunities you can use to create the methodologies and ethics to be followed by you for the entire lifetime. With every step you climb, you learn from the bygones and take precautions from making similar mistakes and realise the value of certain things or people you should have been happy about. This is how the life cycle works, right.

Realise before it goes away.

As the times passes, individuals and possessions come and go, it depends upon you which ones you hold or let go. Complaining or being jealous doesn’t helps you get something but, acceptance surely would strength you to move on and find happiness and peace in the hardest situations too. Learn to value what belongs to you, and not always what you desire. Materials doesn’t die along with you, those are feelings and satisfaction that survive until the end and provide you the smile at the end of the day.

In such cases, Often The best motivations are when you look up to some real life stories and the protagonist of these stories growing through. Because, then you could believe the actual importance to a specific lesson. So here are a few links for you to hear actual people and learn ;

It took me 20 years to accept myself

You don’t find happiness, you create it!

CHILD LABOUR

Child Labour refers to the practise of using young children in factories, but it is increasingly used to refer to the employment of minors in general, particularly in jobs that may interfere with their education or threaten their health. Children have always worked alongside their parents in the fields, the marketplace, and around the home as soon as they were old enough to accomplish simple tasks. Child labour is not a new occurrence, nor is it limited to a single state.

Facts and myth about child labour– Employers are thought to obligate children by hiring them. However, the fact is that employers are simply concerned with profit, and child labour can be exploited at no cost to them. Many industries rely significantly on child labour because children are willing to work for little or no pay and for extended periods of time without complaining. Industries such as bead manufacturing, glass manufacturing, carpet manufacturing, gem and stone polishing, matches, and fireworks have grown solely on the power of young labour. There is a vested interest in the recruitment of underage labourers since it benefits them. The main cause is low salaries. Which employer prefers a child above an adult. Poverty is NOT an option. These statistics reveal that the vast majority of children employed in these businesses are from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Other Backward Castes.

Second, while it is true that child labourers come from impoverished families, it should be noted that child labour also perpetuates poverty because the child labourer who survives the harsh conditions becomes an unskilled adult who is not employed even in the industry that previously exploited him or her. Furthermore, child employees are paid a pittance or receive no pay at all. Child labour also lowers adult salaries and keeps adults out of work. Third, some people believe that if youngsters labour, they will be equipped with skills for the future. When we look at the facts, we can see that the activities assigned to child labourers, such as labelling, filling, and transporting, are simple and repetitive. By doing these exercises, youngsters are not so much learning a skill as they are being subjected to gruelling, monotonous work. Furthermore, the job done by young labourers jeopardises their prospects. Children’s health is harmed by exposure to the elements, dust, harmful gases, and chemical solutions, which shortens their lives. Some people believe that children work faster and have nimble fingers, which are required for certain types of work, particularly knotting carpets, but it is a myth that child labour is necessary and that children are capable of weaving better carpets than adults, but children were allegedly employed in simple tasks for which they had a special aptitude lost to adults. Adults were not only employed in all of these enterprises, but they outnumbered children in the studied units. Furthermore, their pace of physical production was higher than that of children.

Child labour is an International Problem– Child labour is still a major issue in many regions of the world in the early twenty-first century. According to research conducted during the International Year of the Child in 1979, more than 50 million children under the age of 15 were working in a variety of vocations, many of which were dangerous. Many of these youngsters reside in impoverished nations, where their living conditions are deplorable and their educational opportunities are limited. These families frequently lack the necessities of life, such as proper food, clothing, and shelter, as well as water for bathing. 20,000 children in India, for example, work 16-hour days in match factories. Child labour issues are not restricted to developing countries. They occur everywhere poverty exists in Europe and the United States. The most important efforts to reduce child labour abuses around the world are led by the INTERNATIONAL LABOUR ORGANIZATION (ILO), which was created in 1919 and is now a special agency of the United Nations. Among its members, the organisation has implemented various child-labor conventions, including a minimum age of 16 years for admittance to all work, a higher minimum age for specialised categories of employment, mandatory medical examinations, and night work control. Slavery, prostitution, debt bondage, and forced military service were added to the list of the worst types of child labour by the ILO in the late twentieth century.

CONCLUSION– It is possible to infer that The Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act is an Act that was passed in order to adopt all of the international standards against child labour that have been adopted by the United Nations. Furthermore, the Supreme Court’s explanation and analysis, as well as those of other courts, have made the Act a significant piece of legislation that has contributed to reducing the scourge of child labour to a bare minimum. Although a lot of laws have been enacted to prevent child labour, no law will be effective in eradicating the evil of child labour unless the laws are properly enforced and unless each and every individual does something to help in eradicating the problem aside from the application of the law.

MARITAL RAPE

Marital rape is defined as any unwelcome sexual act conducted by a spouse without consent or consent obtained by force or threat of force, intimidation, or any other threat. Intercourse, anal or oral sex, forced sexual behaviour with other individuals, and other sexual practises deemed painful and unwelcome by the victim are examples of these sexual actions. It should be mentioned that in marriage, if a woman consents to sexual intercourse owing to any of the threats, this is still counted as NO.

According to Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code, marital rape is not legally forbidden if the lady is over the age of 15. It is only illegal when the lady is required by law to live apart from her spouse. Marital rape is not illegal in India because it is founded on historical myths that the spouse has full rights even if his wife does not consent. In truth, investigations and research have shown that marital rape has an identical long-term effect on the mentality of women, as well as physical effects.

Short-term mental impacts may include anxiety, shock, acute terror, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Long-term consequences frequently include inappropriate eating, sleep issues, depression, and increasing negative thoughts about oneself. While the bodily symptoms may include private organ injury, discomfort, ripped muscles, and vomiting. Women who have been raped may suffer from fractured bones, black eyes, bloody noses, and knife wounds as a result of the sexual violence.

Marital rape is something that has to be criminalised under the IPC, but it has not yet been criminalised. According to statistics acquired in 2015-16, approximately 5.4 percent of women reported to have suffered marital rape, which is less than the 9 percent in 2005-06, but it must be criminalised. These figures are far from accurate because this is something that not every woman can express. Furthermore, this may occur numerous times with the same lady.

It’s not like people didn’t raise their voices in opposition to the Section 375 exception. It has been observed that for many years, activists, civil society, and people in general have been calling for marital rape to be criminalised, but it doesn’t appear that it will happen soon, because the Indian Government believes that the Indian population is uneducated to understand this law, so it will not be implemented. According to a 2014[1] survey performed by the International Centre for Research on Women (ICRW) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in 8 Indian states, one-third of men acknowledged to forcing a sexual act on their wives or partners. In fact, the bulk of sexual abuse reported by women occurs within the confines of the marriage.

Various communities, NGO’s, the RIT FOUNDATION, and others have raised their voices over the years. In 2011, a marital rape case was reported to the Delhi High Court, and the Centre advised the Delhi High Court that criminalising marital rape would destabilise the institution of marriage and make it an easy tool for harassing husbands, resulting in the denial of the appeal in the Delhi High Court. According to the center’s affidavit, criminalising marital rape may lead to its misuse, similar to section 498 A of the IPC, which deals with cruelty to a wife by her husband or his relatives.

In a society where a woman is constantly restricted from going out, staying out, and engaging in other activities, it is not a bad thing to state that not criminalising marital rape is a curse for India. We are attempting to restrict women’s rights in order to protect men’s rights. Women are a part of society, and they play an important role in our economy; therefore, they must have the right to speak out against any such acts (for which her approval is required) conducted by their spouse or anyone else. Women are doing their best in every sector, yet males continue to dominate them, thus there should be a forum where women may talk without fear of being judged.

So, here are few things which you can consider before making CV.

My Little Childhood Friends Are No More..

Remember..Sparrows? Do you know when was the last time you saw them in bulk or even in a small group.

I recall being amazed at these little birds as a kid, the way they used to walk on the grounds here and there eating little chunks of food everywhere, listening their squeeky noices all around the whole day especially in the mornings, watching them build their nests. I couldn’t understand their chirping but each time I heard them it felt like they are talking to me, and I wished i could talk to them as well. Trying to play with birds was one of the favourite activities of every kid back in early centuries. And the best memory would surely be when these little cute creatures entered our classrooms in the morning chirping and flying around and the whole class would concentrate on it rather than the teacher.

However, as the times passed, everyone grew old and indulged into the race of life. We all forgot to find the happiness in those little things. But the worst part is we also forgot our responsibilities. Responsibilities towards nature, Environment and all the living organisms within. We humans became selfish. In order to make our lives easy, comfortable and full of luxuries and for several other purposes to benefit us we started snatching away even the basic necessities that is., their habitats from birds and all the other animals. Just because these organisms couldn’t express themselves or stand up for themselves or claim any properties on their own doesn’t mean they aren’t having a right to all these. The world, it’s environment including the space has been equally provided and rightfully belongs to all the living beings on this planet and we have no right to exclude any being from here for our profits.

STATE OF BIRDS IN INDIA OVER A PAST FEW YEARS.

According to the reports of, https://www.stateofindiasbirds.in/ over 867 species of birds have been assessed from over 10,00,000 observations contributed by 15,500 birdwatchers all over the country, 52% of species show clear decline over the past decades, there’s 100% increase in the abundance of peafowl across the country and 101 species are classified as of High Conservation Concern.

CAUSES OF THESE CIRCUMSTANCES

The Foremost major cause found for this increasing problem is ‘HUMAN’. Top Human activities causing these extinctions and deprivations in numbers of birds include increased Human population. The rapidly increasing population all over the country calls for increased requirement of space for human beings to settle and survive due to which the constructors generally tend to destruct the habitat of birds and animals ( basically, clearing out forests by deforestation or burning down the whole fields), excessive egg collection takes place for providing/ having fancy meals, highly increased number of vehicles being purchased for easier travelling and comfort, luxury and for proving high status by humans in a past few years have resulted in a huge hike in pollution levels which is continuously degrading the quality of air and creating more dangerous environment for birds to live and breathe in. Another reasons including bird trafficking done nationally and internationally for selling birds as food, pets, leather, etc. Using immense amounts of pesticides and herbicides on plants which are not only harmful for humans but also for birds as it damages or inculcate diseases inside their body leading to their deaths. Global warming done by us creates severe climatic changes which has an immense impact on bird extinction makes it difficult for them to survive. It also destroys their abilities to fight diseases.

Birds are also said to be sensitive to magnetic radiation. Increasing number of cell phones and network towers affect them severely as the over limit microwaves radiated by the towers are responsible to damange their eggs and embryos and it even affects and damages their brain cells up to an extent.

For example, one of the most popular extinct species of birds is DODO. It were flightless and mentally weak birds which lived solely on the island of Mauritius in Indian Ocean. It’s limited range, inability to fly and lack of exposure along with fear of humans contributed to it’s rapid extinction. Humans in 17th century took an advantage of these shortcomings of the speechless and helpless organsims and killed it huge numbers for food . This, resulting in its extinction.

ON THE CONTRARY..

There are hundreds of such examples of birds and animals being extinct due to selfish deeds of humans. Perhaps, we should be the ones to save, protect these organisms as only humans are the ones who are learned and know the actual importance of maintaing a balanced environment. There’s no choice of bringing back the already extincted ones so we can ‘ let the bygones be bygones’ and now as we are clearly acknowledged with the information of the quantity and kinds of bird population deprivation, necessity of protecting these species, pros and cons to of our methodologies and activities and what damage it causes and what preventive measures we could take unlike the people in earlier times all of us should on whole come up together and do our bit in saving our Country’s immense biodiversity.

DIGITAL INDIA

The Government of India initiated the “Digital India” program to increase the use of technology in India. The goal was to make government services more accessible to citizens electronically by strengthening the country’s online infrastructure. The procedure will be designed to expand internet connectivity in order to empower the country digitally. It aids in reaching out to the general public and encouraging them to use technology in their daily life. Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, inaugurated the campaign on July 1, 2015. The initiative attempts to link rural India through high-speed internet connectivity.

At the heart of the “Digital India” campaign are three components:

Development of digital infrastructure– To be able to implement diverse digital services across the country, a solid digital infrastructure must be built, particularly in rural areas. The country’s interior regions have either very little or no electronic network. This is why a digital network is being established across the country. Bharat Broadband Network Limited is the governmental agency in charge of implementing the National Optical Fiber Network project, as well as the Digital India Project.

Digital service delivery– The delivery of government and other services digitally is a key component of the Digital India Campaign. It is simpler to transition from physical to digital service delivery. Many services have been digitised as part of the Digital India effort. People’s daily monetary transactions were likewise changed to digital format. To maintain transaction transparency and to combat corruption, all money transactions are conducted online and are protected by one-time passwords.

Knowledge of the Internet– The skill required for full participation of the people in India is known as Digital Literacy. The fundamental behaviours, knowledge, and skills required to effectively use digital devices are required. Desktop computers, laptop computers, tablets, and smartphones are utilised for interacting, expressing, cooperating, and advocating. Over six crore rural households would be reached by the digital literacy initiative.

The Government of India hopes to achieve all-round growth on various fronts via the Digital India Programme. The government’s goal is to focus on ‘The Nine Pillars of Digital India,’ which include

  • Broadband Highways
  • Public Interest Access Programme
  • E-Kranti
  • Universal Access to Mobile Connectivity
  • E- Governance
  • Global Information
  • Electronics Manufacturing
  • Global Information
  • Early Harvest Programmes
  • Training in IT for jobs

The Digital India Campaign has successfully raised public awareness of the relevance of technology in India. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the use of the internet and technology. On August 5th, the Panchkula district in Haryana was named the finest and top performing district in Haryana as part of the Digital India initiative.

Technology behemoths from around the world have been paying careful attention to the Digital India Campaign and are enthusiastically supporting it. Even Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg updated his profile image to support the cause. He launched a Facebook trend and pledged to get Wifi hotspots operational in remote areas. Google has begun to fulfil its commitment to provide internet connectivity at 500 Indian railway stations. India is also establishing itself as a cloud hub through the use of data centres in the country. Oracle intended to invest in 20 states in order to work on smart city initiatives and payments. This Digital India campaign will aim at the growth and development of the masses of the country and will aim at improving their social and economic status.

Population Explosion: The cause of poor living conditions of indians

India is a over-populated country. It is the second most populated country in the world, after China. However, researchers say that India is all set to surpass China in population density by 2024. That means India is about to become the country with the highest population density across the world.

The population of India is increasing at an alarming rate. India is not the country with the highest number of people. There are countries which has more number of people than India like Russia. But they are not overpopulated. Those countries have enough space to fit in the number of people. India has more people than the country could fit in. The number of people residing in per unit square of land in India is much higher than that of other countries. This makes India an over-crowded country.

The huge population of India makes a lot of people live in poverty. The country’s economy is not enough to sustain its population. Adding to the problem, the country’s wealth is not equally distributed. The economic gap between the rich and the poor is widening. The major chunk of the country’s wealth is held by the rich and the powerful who are quite few in number compared to the country’s huge population. A large chunk of the population live below poverty line who do not have enough money to afford their meals thrice a day.

Also, the country does not have enough employment opportunities for all its citizens. This leads to unemployment, economic distress, stress and mental health problems. Unemployment increases the amount of crimes, theft and illegal business practices.

Along with wealth and job opportunities, India’s natural resources are also limited and not enough for its huge population. Over-consumption of natural resources would exhaust them and leave none for our future generations. Overpopulation is also a threat to our environment. The air and water bodies are becoming more and more polluted day by day. Too much burning of fossil fuels, congested roads and too many vehicles are releasing toxic gases in the air.

Accommodation is also a problem in India. Thousands of people live in slums which are over-crowded with unhealthy living conditions. More houses and buildings are being constructed which leaves no place for plants and nature. Forests are cut down to make room for construction projects. The cutting down of trees leads to increase in the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

Population explosion is a serious problem which needs to be addressed at any cost. The Indian population should be controlled to improve the lives of the people. Awareness drives and contraceptive alternatives should be adopted with immediate effect.

LEADERS IN ORGANISATIONS

Organisational leadership is a management technique in which leaders help set the
organisation’s strategic objectives while encouraging individuals within the group to carry out
tasks effectively in support of those goals. Effective Leadership is based on a strong
framework consisting of a specific mission, a vision for the future, a particular plan, and a
success-oriented community. Successful organisations are created by successful leaders. Let’s look at Elon Musk as an example

n Musk is the co-founder and CEO of Tesla Motors and is a leader who is passionate
about his work. He sets high expectations for his company, his team and also for himself too.
Musk follows an Authoritative Style of leadership. He has a bold, persistent personality that
will not accept failure. He’s also an organised person with inspirational ideas and intense
focus on his work. He is a leader who pushes people until they reach their full potential.
He possesses a lot of Leadership Qualities ans styles. Some of his qualities and traits include￾Leading with Purpose, Being comfortable with change, Operating with Integrity, Being a
continuous learner, Having a clear strategic vision and focusing on the big picture. He has
earned the trust of his employees and followers by being reliable in situations that are

My volunteering journey.

When i was younger i always had an urge to help everyone and nothing has changed since then except for the fact that i wasn’t able to help a lot of people back then but now i have got an opportunity because of yuva to fulfill my wish. I believe kindness is the only way to deal with everything and that’s what makes my world beautiful.

I wanted to persue psychology: wanted to become a counselor. But my parents we not convinced that I’ll have a great career doing what i wanted to do. I was good at maths and computer, so i persued for a B.tech degree in computer science.
When covid first started triggering, just like everyone else even i was convinced that this won’t last long. Also during the first wave we had adequate infrastructure so the situation was a lot better than it is right now. But now when i see people crying for the basic amenities,it breaks my heart and makes we wanna help them as much as i can.

I am in the verification department in my team becausee of which i haven’t had any encounter with any of the patient but there was one time when someone from my city contacted me for some urgent requirement and i was able to do the needful with the help of my team and i felt overwhelmed that i could save someone’s life.

When you put your 100% effort to do something and you get the expected result that obviously makes you feel joyful. I feel the same way when i receive gratitude from the families i have tried to help.

NOTA has been depicted as the developing of India’s majority rules system. Be that as it may, a spoiled applicant who enjoys debasement and acts of neglect is a more noteworthy expense for the country. It is just the longing to proceed in influence and the insatiability for cash that take unmistakable quality over qualities.”
