Yes, apples are safe for guinea pigs but only in moderation. Apples contain a high sugar content which is not considered appropriate for guinea pigs. Here are some listed conditions to take care of before serving apples to guinea pigs.

  1. Apples are safe for guinea pigs but the stem and the seeds  of the apple can have a damaging effect on their health. The seeds contain enough cyanide to have an adverse effect on their health but not enough to kill them. The main reason to not feed apple seeds to guinea pigs is that they might choke on them.
  • Guinea pigs can have apples in a small quantity. Excessive feeding can lead to various problems like diarrhoea and other health issues.
  • Apple skin contains most of the nutrients which are good for guinea pigs. They can eat apples with their skin on and enjoy the  crunchiness of the fruit. Apple skin or peel contains fibre which is good for their health. Unwashed for waxed skin may damage their health.
  • Guinea pigs do like apples, but ensure that you feed them as a treat and not include them in their daily diet.
  • In addition to the crunchy fruit you can also feed them apple leaves. Apples contain calcium which is good for guinea pigs.
  • Unripe, sore or rotten apples can also damage guinea pigs’ health.
  • Guinea pigs enjoy the hard fibrous core of the apples, but make sure they are seed free and not so sour to eat.

What happens if a guinea pig eats too much Apple ?

If your pet ate too much apple, it’s nothing to worry about. It may have a bit of diarrhoea, but it will be fine. Don’t worry about taking it to the vet because there will not be any long-term problems.

Consider feeding them small apple chunks. Since apples are high in sugar content you may want to restrict their diet of apples to once a day or maybe only 2-3 a week.

Too much of an apple to guinea pig may lead to bloating. You may also want to know that Vitamin C is the most important ingredient in a guinea pigs’ diet. Indian classical music

Today I want to discuss a very interesting topic ,it is about ‘Indian classical Music’, which is India’s heritage and pride. Indian classical music is the classical music of Indian subcontinent. it is basically divided into 2 parts ,in north India it is called as Hindustani music while in south India , it is called Carnatic music.

Indian classical music has 2 components Raga and Tala. raga is based on ‘Swara‘ while the tala is based on time cycles. Indian classical music has been adopted historically with many regional styles and places. Indian classical music is considered to be 6000 years ago where people developed a combination of musical notes with rhythm. Indian classical music is very closely connected to nature, beauty and surroundings. There are different – different ragas for different moods and seasons.for example , there is a raga called ‘Malhar’,which is said to be sung during rainy season.

Hindustani music

it is believed that Indian subcontinent music was integrated until political turmoil of Delhi sultanates era came, than it was divided into 2 parts 1. Hindustani music 2. Carnatic music.

it is believed that Hindustani music was started in 14th century. it was at its peak during Akbar period, during that time Tansen studied Hindustani music and made many innovations in it. he is also considered as founder of Hindustani music. Hindustani music is mainly found in North India, Pakistan and Afghanistan . It has different forms like khyal, tarana thumri etc. There is a huge list of Ragas in Hindustani music.

Carnatic music

Puranadara Dasa is considered as grandfather of Carnatic music. He was a devotee of lord Krishna. Due to his efforts, Carnatic music was introduced.it is said that Carnatic music is more rhythmically intensive and structured than Hindustani music. Carnatic music are little bit fast and shorter than Hindustani music.

What makes Indian classical music different from other music

in this we will discuss that how classical music is different from other forms of music like Bollywood Music. It is all about history ,its context and purpose. classical music is studied and developed in a very disciplined way .and it is more professional and difficult to learn.it is also considered as a type of meditation.

nowadays very less people know about classical music, about its history ,origin and other things. We all are attracted by western Music because it has that an entertainment flavour in it. But classical music is not for entertainment or any other thing, it gives mental peace to the listener who understands its beauty. In fact in Bollywood music , classical music plays a huge role many songs that we like are sung with the help of ragas especially sad or romantic songs.

instruments used in classical music

There are many instruments that are used in classical music, some of them are:-

1.Sitar:-it is a very important instrument in Hindustani music. it is a plucked stringed instrument that was originated in 16th or 17th century in Indian subcontinent.

2.Tabla:-it is a pair of drums used in indian classical music. it is used in Indian subcontinent .

3.Mridangam:- this instrument is used in Carnatic music. it is called Pakhawaj in Dhrupad.

India’s Olympic Wins

The first modern Olympics were held in Athens, Greece, in 1896 and it took India only four years before seeing their first representation at the Summer Olympic Games. It all started for India in 1900 when they sent the athlete Norman Pritchard to Paris where he won two medals in Men’s 200 meters and Men’s 200 meter hurdles. Till date, India has participated in every Summer Games since 1900, sending their first Olympic team in 1920 comprising four athletes and two wrestlers. It was, however, not till 1928 that India saw its next medal, after which there have been several Olympic medals obtained. Today India holds a total of 28 Olympic medals and seems to be improving its performance at the Olympics.

Hockey

The Indian hockey team dominated the Olympics from 1928 for decades to come, winning an unprecedented 3 gold medal titles. The dominance of India’s hockey team started in 1928 in Amsterdam, when Dhyan Chand scored a hat-trick against the Netherlands in the final. Major Dhyan Chand is revered today as one of the greatest sportsman in India, and also the greatest player in the history of hockey. By the Berlin Olympics in 1936, the gold medals had piled up for India and London 1948 was the first gold medal post-independence for India. The Indian team kept winning until 1960 when the gold streak was finally broken.

Boxing

In Beijing 2008, Vijender Singh became the first Indian boxer in history to win an Olympic medal. Then in London 2012, India’s newfound love for boxing saw Mary Kom winning a bronze medal for the country. With her win, Mary Kom had become, and remains to be a role model for Indian women wanting to get involved in sports.

Shooting

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was the first shooter to help India get a medal at the Athens Olympics in 2004, and inspired an entire generation to take up the sport. Following his footsteps, Abhinav Bindra won the gold medal in Men’s 10m Air Rifle at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He remains the only individual Olympic gold medalist in India and perhaps the most notable among the Indian Olympic winners.

Tennis

India had gone without a medal of any sort for four straight editions before Leander Paes won a bronze medal in 1996. After losing to Andre Agassi in the semi-final, Paes went on to beat Fernando Meligani in the bronze medal match. The medal was a huge achievement for India as they had returned without a medal for many years before Paes won in Atlanta.

Weightlifting

Breaking the norm of only men fetching Olympic medals for the nation, India saw Andhra Pradesh’s Karnam Malleswari clinching the bronze medal in the 54kg category at Sydney 2000, becoming the first woman in doing so. She had created history, and after her many female athletes would follow to win medals for India.

Wrestling

In 1952, Khashaba Dadasaheb Jadhav had created history by becoming the first Indian to win an Olympic medal in an individual sport at the Helsinki Olympics. The sport was wrestling, and he had won a bronze medal for it. After that in 2008, Sushil Kumar clinched a bronze medal in wrestling after a great deal of struggle and effort. Furthermore, in a traditionally male-dominated sport, Sakshi Malik became the first Indian woman wrestler to win an Olympic medal with her bronze medal finish in the Women’s freestyle 58 kg category at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Badminton

In London 2012, Saina Nehwal became the first Indian badminton player to win an Olympic medal when her opponent, China’s Wang Xin, was forced to retire hurt during the match in the semi-final. She was the first Indian athlete to win an Olympic bronze medal in the women’s badminton singles. In the following 2016 Rio Olympics, the nation witnessed PV Sindhu take one step closer to gold by becoming the first Indian shuttler to reach an Olympic final in the 2016 Games. She was not able to clinch the victory but won a silver medal in the Olympics. She was also the youngest Indian (21 years old) to achieve this feat.

Conclusion

Every single Indian medal winner may not be mentioned in this Article, but it is important to highlight that every single person who has won a medal for India must be respected, whether that medal is bronze, silver or gold. The Olympics are a worldwide event with the highest level of competition possible, so we should be proud of those who have won for India.

A Handy Checklist for Google My Business Spam

If you work in local SEO, you know that dealing with spam on Google My Business is going to be a constant battle. This is especially true if you work in industries like:

  • Legal
  • Health
  • Home services

We need to understand why Google My Business spam is so rampant.

Unfortunately, having keywords in your business name is a massive ranking factor. As an example, I performed a search for “emergency plumber Los Angeles” and here are the top three Google My Business listings ranking in the map pack:

Emergency plumber Los Angeles Google map pack

The first result (24 HR Emergency Plumber Los Angeles Inc) is a lead generation website, which is against Google My Business Guidelines. The second result appears to be a lead generation website, too. The third result? You guessed it, it’s another lead generation listing, they don’t even list a website!

These companies sell leads to real plumbers at a hefty price. Clicking through View all to see all listings, you don’t find a real plumber until the 10th result! Outside of completely fake listings that need to be removed, sometimes competitors will keyword stuff their Google My Business name.

Our Google My Business Spam Checklists

There are two checklists: one for identifying potential listings violating Google My Business guidelines and the other is a reporting checklist.

The first checklist doesn’t need to be done frequently, but it would be beneficial to do it at least once. If your rank tracking is set up correctly for Google Maps, you will likely just need to pay attention to your map rankings. If you drop a position on a major keyword, what listing is outranking you now? If it’s a new listing, head to checklist no.2.

Checklist No.1:

  • On google.com/maps, make sure you’re in the area you want to find spammers
  • Use the search operator intitle:”keyword” to surface listings with the keyword in the business title
  • Any listing that has the primary keyword is a Yellow flag
  • Any listing that is ONLY named the keyword is a Yellow flag
  • Any listing that has a modifier (-) is a Yellow flag
  • Any listing that has no website is a Yellow flag
  • On a Google Sheet, add the business name, address, phone number, website, and link to Google My Business listing for each Yellow flag listing
  • Repeat this process for each major keyword (topic) that you/your client covers
  • For good measure, perform a few raw searches in Maps as if you were a customer looking for the particular service, including the city name

This checklist enables you to find potential listings relatively quickly. These listings may be fake or could be completely legit. The second checklist will help us go through each listing, one-by-one, to build a case for the listing to be corrected or completely removed.

Checklist No.2:

Tip: (A “no” response on any checklist item will require documentation)

  • Use the state’s business name lookup. Is there a business registered at the address?
  • From the listing, click on photos and then go to Street View and 360º.
    • Is there signage for the business?
    • Is it a personal residence?
  • In a new tab, do a search of the exact address/is the listing the only one at that address?
  • Visit the website. Is the branding/logo the same as the business name?
    • Does the site have an about page with real people or company history?
    • Is the content heavily ‘SEO’d’ and generic?
    • Is the content focused on connecting users to someone else (lead gen)?
    • For industries that require a license, is one listed? If yes, is it a valid license?

This checklist should be used on each listing that has a Yellow flag.

Documenting Your Evidence

As you’re going through the checklist, you need to document all of your findings, this will be used when we submit the Business Redressal Form.

Open a Google Doc, name it appropriately, and let your documentation live there. Each listing should have it’s own Google Doc. The more detail you can provide in the document, the better. Some suggestions for added detail could include adding screenshots, external links with descriptions, etc.

Suggest an Edit or the Redressal Form?

If you are reporting a competitor that is just keyword stuffing their business name and the location is legitimate, you may want to consider simply suggesting an edit first.

  • Pro tip: Do not use an email address that is associated with Google My Business listings. This can cause your other listings to be suspended. (h/t to my friend, Jason Brown).

If and/or when your suggested edit does not stick, then submit the redressal form. If the listing is fake, go straight to the Business Redressal Form.

Filling Out the Redressal Form

Follow the Business Redressal Form instructions and fill out the sections. When you get to the last section that allows you to explain why you’re requesting a redress, this is where your Google Doc is going to come in handy.

In this field, you can’t add photos, but you are able to include a link to your Google Doc. When grabbing the Google Doc link, make sure it is viewable by anyone with the link. If it’s not, Google Support will not be able to see the contents. Don’t just drop the link and submit, provide some context, and then place the Google Doc link.
Submit.

Repeat the process for each and every listing that you believe needs to be removed. Google recommends:

“If you have many URLs to report, we recommend submitting 10-100 at a time for a faster processing time. You can submit multiple URLs by clicking the ‘Add additional’ link or by uploading a spreadsheet with all the URLs.”

Now the hardest part begins, waiting.

In your original spreadsheet, add a date column and add the date that the redressal form was submitted. Timelines can vary depending on multiple factors but if nothing has happened after 10 weeks, then you’ll need to reassess the redressal and look for further evidence.

Having to deal with spam on Google My Business is frustrating and can be time-consuming, but if done correctly, can help protect users from spammers and help real small businesses. For more tips, check out SEMrush’s post about their Google My Business checklist.

PARENTAL LOVE -IRREPLACEABLE FOR CHILDREN’S WELL- BEING

Child rearing has become challenging during past years and great expectations are placed for parenthood . althrough the public upbringing has become professionalized and the day care and school services are available in today’s society .parents have the main responsibility for rearing children .how and into what should children be raised? in this article ,good parenthood is paralleled with parental love.as a result ,two valuable and demanding underlying contents of parental love are discussed in this article .setting up safe boundaries and constructing good self-esteem as the core of good parenthood and parental love .the perspective in this article is fundamentally positive .parental love appreciates and cares about the child and does not abandon the child even when his/her behaviour causes disappointments and trouble.

The sacrifices , belives ,and values parents implant in their children will help determine the person they grow up to be . a child is like a sponge that absorbs their parents thoughts and view points that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

Parents make great sacrifices for the care of their children .day after day, parents protect their children from danger, attend their cries ,and reassure their children after a bad dream. Parents give up many necessities for their children every day. In the poem “those winter sundays ” by robert hayden , the father displays the sacrifices he makes for this son. The father’s “cracked hand that ached” ,shows he sacrified pain and discomfort for this child. The father takes no thought for this own confront. Also ,self-sacrificing this own warmth so his child could wake up to a warm house. The father would get up in the “blueblack cold”,to make a fire. The sacrifices parents make for their childrens will have and impact on them when they become parents.

Beliefs are taught to children in subtle ways such as just listening to their parents conversations. Its not uncommon to over hear a child explain something as being absolutely true because what their parents have told them. In the poem “the victims” by sharon olds ,the children hated their father because of the beliefs the mother in stilled in her children. Their mother “taught us to take it, to hate you…….” . the children pick up the hate the mother had against their father and this begun the hatred for their father. In “ the death of a salesman”, the father sets a foundation of beliefs for his son biff. The father believes that all it takes to be successful in life is to we well liked. He tells his son ,”be liked and you will never want . you take me, for instance. I never have to wait in line to see a buyer &apo.

In modern society, many aspects of life have become increasingly similar around the world -one of the rare exceptions to this is probably the way be parent our children. In the united states, there is some truth to the stereotype of “helicopter parents” who monitor and guide every step of their childrens lives. Scandinavian parents tent be the opposite. They are more interested in having their children develop imagination, independence and a sense of discovery, and they generally interfere much less with their childrens choice .

The  authoritative parents are more likely to be viewed as reasonable , fair and just, their children are more likely to comply with their parents requests. Also, because these parents provide rules as well as explanation for these rules, children are much more likely to internalize these lessons.

Rather then simply following the rules because they fear punishment, the children of authoritative parents are able to see why the rules exist, understand that they are fair and acceptable, and strive to follow these rules to meet their own internalized sense of what is right wrong.

Parenting styles are associated with different child outcomes, and the authoritative style is generally linked to positive behaviors such as strong self -esteem and self -competence. However , other important factors including culture, childrens temperament, childrens perception of parental treatment, and social influences also play and important role in childrens behaviour .

Modern society is giving more importance to parenting styles . it represent the different approaches parents use to raise their children. This paper looks into various kinds of parenting styles followed by families . modern parenting is mixed with various issues . the root cause of majority of the mental health problems arise in adolescence are related to parenting styles. Most parents use a variety of styles developing upon their culture and societal demands. The patterns of parenting styles and their impact on child development are explained in the paper the impact of the social changes on childhood in india derives attention parenting style needs change according to the changes taking place in a society

Cinema and youth of India

Cinema is a huge industry in itself. Indian cinema is considered more spicy and entertaining. Television shows, bollywood and tollywood are the industries of cinema. It is a long journey of success and luck.

When cinema started in India.

In India cinema started on 7 July 1896 by the lumiere brothers at watson hotels in Mumbai. They made a showcase of six films at that time.

Cinema was a combination of motion pictures. Earlier there was no sound in movies. The whole story of movie dialogue time was dictated by a person. Dadasheb phalke was the first who was introduced in Indian cinema. He produced and directed the movie “Raja harishchandra. It was the first silent movie of our nation. All the characters were male. Dadasaheb phalke also known as the father of the Indian cinema.

Evolution  in cinema

Evolution of cinema in India is just as dramatic as the cinema itself. You must have read about the Darwin evolution theory. In the late 1910s we found our first mute film and in 1931 ardeshir irani introduced the first sound movie alam ara.

The first coloured movie was kisan kahaniya in 1937.

The 1960s is known as the golden era of cinema. 1960 was the time when we got many pictures and legendary actors and actresses. Earlier the involvement of the women in cinema was absent. That was the belief of the people that women should not appear on television. They would be objectified if they showed themselves on screen.  Drugabai Kamat (marathi) was the first female actress of Indian cinema.

Fight, love, action and song are always part of the cinema. Earlier graphics were not used. So-called heroism always dominates the cinema.

Youth of India and cinema

Cinema is always loved by every generation of India. Cinema provides the material for all generation needs. Cartoons for children, love and motivational content for youth and religious content for older.

But the youth of India is impacted more than others. They are really influenced by the movies and TV series. Movies like Triranga, border, tango chalier and many other army based movies invoke the feeling of nationalism. They want to choose the army. Bhagwan, khani ghar ghar ki, swarg all the movies which made us realise that our elders do so much for us. How  we should treat them when they grow old.  Youth is really inspired by what they see in the cinema. They start to carry that behaviour.

Eve teasing or following a girl is something heroic in the cinema. As a result most of the youth do the same. But they forget that the movie is just a fiction of a person’s mind. The luxurious life which shows up in the movies also is a dream of youth. We often see people say that I copy the style of karina, katrina or any other actress. Even the choices of youth, their mindset is also influenced by the cinema. Young boys and girls consider that love is greater than anything. They learn from cinema that a career oriented person is selfish. Workaholics and successful people are rude and especially that one day you met a person who fell in love, left your career, still you became rich and returned back to your family and love. I am not denying that this couldn’t be true but the journey of success took time.

Youth of India spend most of their time on streaming aur watching movies. If the content is more science based, it could be the best combination of learning. Because motion pictures work with imagination.

GOA

The Beach Capital of India

There was a time when the sole reason people worked was to earn money so they could save it up to secure their kid’s future. But the times have changed drastically. Today’s modern man earns money for himself and spends it on himself and the first thing that pops up in the mind when he thinks of self-care is TRAVEL. No one ever travels just because they have to spend their money, but because those travels are extremely meaningful. A trip is supposed to soothe you and rejuvenate your mind in every way possible.

One of the most favorite tourist destinations of India is GOA. Goa is an Indian state with coastlines stretching along the Arabian Sea. It is known for its nightlife, the beaches, and most importantly its weather. As of October 2020, Goa is the 11th best tourist destination in the world. No wonder tourists from all over the world crowd the streets of Goa all year round. You combine the scenic beach views and the extravagant nightlife and you have got yourself a hell of a vacation.

For first time travelers, here’s a guide of everything that Goa has to offer:

1. Breathtaking Beaches: Goa is definitely the Beach capital of India. The state stretches along 100 km of the Arabian coastline and thus has around 35 beaches each with a spectacular view and its own calming vibe. Some of the more famous beaches include the Calangute & Candolim beach, Vagator beach, Arambol, and the tourist favorite The Baga beach.
2. Mouth-watering Food: If you enjoy experimenting with different cuisines, then you are in for a treat. Goan cuisine is mainly seafood-centric. Rice and fish are the staple food of natives of Goa. All tourist restaurants across the state offer variety of food items with their own touch of spice. You can experiment as much as you want and if you are not much of a risk-taker, you can enjoy your native cuisines at any restaurant and feel like you are home.

3. Adventure activities: Goa is famous for its water sports. Surfing, deep-sea diving, snorkeling, kayaking, flyboarding, parasailing, you name it and they have got it. More fun activities include paragliding, trekking, hiking, camping, bungee jumping, etc. All these activities will really get that adrenaline pumping.

4. Night Life: Goa is the beach capital and the party capital of India. During the night time, the beaches are full of tourists dancing and singing to the tunes played by the DJ. There is fun and enjoyment for as far as the eye can see. Each beach has its own different vibe to offer. The streets are always crowded with people irrespective of what time of night it is.

5. Historic Sites: Goa is not only about the scenery, the parties, or the beaches, it is also historically significant. Goa was once ruled by the Portuguese for over 450 years. It was later liberated and recognized as a state in India in1961. Some of the major historical sites in Goa include:
Aguada Fort: This fort was built by the Portuguese and it has to offer some of the most beautiful scenery. Many Bollywood movies have been shot at the fort and let’s face it who doesn’t want to experience those ‘Di Chahta Hai’ feels.
The Churches: One word that would accurately describe the Churches of Goa is magnificent. Each one tells a different story and all of them are worth knowing. Basilica of Bom Jesus, Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, Se Cathedral, Church of Our Lady of the Mount, Santa Cruz Church, are some of the churches you can visit on your first trip and get a taste of history.
The Temples: For all those who are spiritual and enjoy visiting holy sites to replenish themselves, Goa is the place for you too. Having a history as old as almost 500 years, there are various temples, churches, and masjids. Some of the most eye-pleasing and soul-soothing temples one must visit are Mangeshi Temple, Shanta Durga Temple, Mahadev Temple, Chandreshwar Boothnath Temple, Brahma Temple, Mahalaxmi Temple, and Kamakshi Temple.
Other forts: Other than the Aguada fort, there are other sites one can visit if they wish to explore the entire state in one trip. Some of the other forts include Chapora Fort, Tiracol Fort, Reis Magos Fort, Cabo de Rama Fort, Corjuem Fort.

6. Dudhsagar Falls: Dudhsagar falls is a breathtaking waterfall located 60kms from Goa. This place is a must-visit for everyone who is planning their first trip to the state. The sound of the water falling and birds chirping around in the forest is exactly what you need to experience before you end your trip. Every aspect of that place makes the trip worth it. The best time to visit the falls is around monsoon when the milky white water is gushing down the hill.

7. Shopping: Last but not the least, Goa has a lot to offer to the people who love to shop. The streets are filled with little shops where you can find clothes, decorative items, or souvenirs to remember the trip.

If you plan to visit Goa, all you need to do is spend a week there and you will find yourself craving to come back every year. However, it does not matter where you travel as long as you can appreciate everything that place has to offer. Travel before it is too late. Travel and let your mind feel the joy.
