Leisure is defined by Google as the time when one isn’t working or occupied. As the old maxim says ‘All work & no play makes Jack a dull boy.’ The maxim has never lost its meaning & it will never lose its significance in our day-to-day life. One must learn to incorporate other curricular activities as well in their daily lives to improve the quality of their lives. The theory is not limited within an age limit so irrespective of that right from a kindergarten student to working professionals.

Disregarding the fact if one is occupied with work & has an occupied schedule one should find at least enough time to spend with themselves & their loved ones. Having a goal-oriented approach in life is okay & one must have that, but living out life, doing things that give you pleasure is also necessary. One can cite the root cause of depressions & other severe mental disorders due to lack of leisure time. A dry, constantly overburdened & monotonous life causes the spring of our life’s vitality will get dried up. It has a nourishing influence on life. Leisure in life is just like green parks & open spaces to a congested & crowded city.

Albeit, this shouldn’t be confused with idleness or shirking duties. Rather should be spent in meaningful & healthy pursuits. Finding joy in spending leisure time practicing your hobbies is one. You may try listening to some loud music or plug in your earphones while reading a novel. Some may prefer spending time composing poems or songs while others might find gardening interesting. Don’t hesitate to do anything that derives your inner peace & happiness.

In present times, binging TVs, Laptops & phones are the most popular & easily available means of spending leisure. People are just a tap away from watching films, web series, dramas, sports events, musical programs, quizzes, discussions, or even news channels. There are innumerable options to avail of them. The modern technology has certainly made people more informative & lazy on the contrary.

As it is rightly said, anything in excess isn’t good. So addiction to past time can prove to be harmful. Binging cricket matches on TV may prove to be harmful. This may cause a person to develop an absent-minded approach for serious works & duties. Similarly causing a student to deflect from his fields.

150th birth anniversary

•Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our nation is an inspiring person, who shaped world history. Gandhiji stands out among the great men of the world as a symbol of non violent resistance to political and social repression. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on October 2nd, 1869 in Gujarat. He became the leader of a movement that attracted millions in the struggle for freedom. He was strong advocate of non-violence. India got freedom on August 15th, 1947. Gandhiji was assassinated on January 30th, 1948.

100th birth anniversary

• The year 2019 marks the 100th birth anniversary of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the father of the Indian space programme. He was born on 12th August, 1919. Dr. Sarabhai has put India on the international map in the field of space research. In 1962, he became chairman of the Indian National committee for space research. The establishment of the Indian space research organisation, also known as ISRO, was one of his greatest achievements. Dr. Sarabhai died on 30th December 1971.

500th death anniversary

• Leonardo da Vinci was perhaps the most widely talented person ever to have lived. He was a consummate painter and sculptor, a great inventor, military engineer, scientist, botanist and mathematician! He lived during the Renaissance in Italy and while working in Milan as an artist, he began writing texts for his students and apprentices. His notebooks covered more than 1000 pages of observations and illustrations. They remained unpublished for more than a century and were printed only after his death. He was born on April 15th 1452 and died on May 2nd 1519.

150th anniversary

• The period table gives us information about element symbols and atomic weights. It brings order to information about the chemical elements and helps chemists to understand why elements react as they do. The milestone in the development of the periodic table was set by the Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev in 1869, who is acknowledged as the ‘father’ of periodic table though the title is also claimed by the German scientist Lothar Meyer. Today, the periodic table organizes the elements by order of increasing atomic number.

150th year of publication

• 2019 marks the 150th year of one of the greatest novels ever written – Leo Tolstoy’s ‘War and Peace’. This classic work from Russia was first published in the book form in 1869. Tolstoy took almost 7 years to finish this epic work and a Russian magazine named ‘Messenger’ serialised some portions of it during 1865-67. But the full novel came out as a book only in 1869. The story woven around Napoleon’s invasion of Russia covers a period of over 15 years. The unique literary style and the historical context make ‘War and Peace’ a monumental work.

125th year of publication

• Is there anyone who isn’t familiar with the famous character ‘Mowgli’? Hopefully none. The main character of the evergreen ‘Jungle Book’, a collection of stories written by Rudyard Kipling is a huge part of our childhood. ‘The Jungle Book’ was first published in 1894.

100th anniversary

• The Jallianwala Bagh massacre was a turning point in our freedom movement. The British troops under the command of Colonel Reginald Dyer, opened fire on unarmed Indians on 13th April 1919. This event took place in the heart of Amritsar. Hundreds were killed and thousands injured. This was followed by widespread protests across a grieving country. Many Indians became convienced that the British had to be paid back in their own coin that violence has to be met with violence. The 100th anniversary of that cruel incident fell last year.

300th year of publication

• Daniel Defoe’s ‘Robinson Crusoe’ has fascinated readers around the world for the last 300 years. Daniel Defoe was an English writer, famous for his novel Robinson Crusoe that was published in 1791. One reason for it’s popularity is that it us packed with excitement and adventure, with sailing ships, stormy seas and guns. Without doubt, Defoe’s ‘Robinson Crusoe’ established a realistic style of fiction and set the tone for modern novels.

Small yet distinct

The word ‘country’ makes one think of a large land mass. However, not every country is huge. There are some countries that are really small in size. They are so tiny, that some of them can even be covered by foot! Some of these countries can fit entirely within the city of another country. The smallest country in the world, the Vatican City, for example, can fit into the city of Rome, capital of Italy. Many of these countries are only small in size. With their wealth and natural resources, they can even compete with any of the larger countries. So, here’s a showcase of some of the small, yet distinct countries.

• Vatican City

Vatican City is the world’s smallest fully independent nation state. It is also the smallest by population. Situated on the western bank of the Tiber river, the Vatican City’s 3.2 kilometre border is landlocked by Italy. The Vatican City has served as the official home of the pope of the Catholic church since 1377. However, Vatican City was not declared an independent state until the Lateran treaty of 1929 which created the independent state of Vatican City for the Catholic church. Today nearly 75% of the Vatican’s citizens are members of the clergy. Along with the centuries old buildings and gardens the Vatican maintains its own banking and telephone systems post office pharmacy newspaper and radio and television stations. Its 600 citizens include the members of the Swiss guard a security detail charged with protecting the Pope since 1506. The most significant building in Vatican City is Saint Peter’s Basilica. It is the Italian language that is used by most of those located within the state however the official documents are written in Latin.

• South Korea

Compared to the giants of Asia like India and China, South Korea is much smaller in size. Its total area is 100,032 square kilometres. South Korea has one pf the most homogeneous populations in the world which are thought to be descended from several Mongol tribes that migrated from central Asia. Tourism is a fast growing industry in South Korea.

• Portugal

Portugal is a sovereign state in Western Europe. It comprises of the continental part of Portugal on the western coast of the Iberian Peninsula and the small archipelagos of Madeira and the Azores in the Atlantic Ocean.

• Hungary

The name “Hungary” may very well come from the medieval Latin word ‘Hungaria’ which translates as “Land of Huns”. Another source states that the name is derived from the Turkish words on ‘Ogur’ meaning ‘ten arrows’ or ‘ten people’

• UAE

The United Arab Emirates is a constitutional federation of seven Emirates; Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain, Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah. The federation was formally established on 2nd December, 1971. The UAE’s oil reserves are the seventh largest in the world while its natural gas reserves are the worlds seventeen largest. The Dubai police fleet includes Lamborghini, a Ferrari and a Bentley. This is to allow them to catch speeders who can outrun other cars.

• Dominican republic

The island of Hispaniola, the second largest island of the Antilles in the Caribbean contains two separate countries, the Dominican republic and Haiti. The Dominican republic is the only country in the world to have an image of the Holy Bible on its national flag.

Cinema can be path breaker in ending Racism and colour discrimination

Over some articles in past few days, we have discussed about the problem cinema has across the country. We are learning though, but we are still taking baby steps towards this movement. Alternatively, cinema around the world has gone through same but they are gradually learning and are ending this at much faster rates then us. There have been some examples where this issue has been busted very well. Hollywood has become progressively aware of situations and social implications of movies. They have corrected themselves exponentially in addressing such issues in mean time.

Industry comparison

But that’s not limited to the Hollywood, but one part of India has shown same level of sense. Often, we quote them as south cinema, but they are actually the Malayali cinema that has implicated the breakthrough. This industry has literally shocked everyone and has emerged in terms of defining the beauty standards. It has actually worked on the qualification one need to be feature in a movie in spite of being just fair in skin tone. They have really changed the perception and glorified the cinema that makes all proudly utter that we are the consumer of such cinema.

We might not have seen much of this thing as they so generous that they don’t even feel to go Gaga over their achievement. This is the quality a real cinema is all about because we are doing good, but it is not a miracle to cheer upon it. On the other hand, our industry is still at making, because even if we get successful like this, we will definitely be preachy about this and loads of award will be showered like a god has done some special just for our country.

Contrary we are addicted to justify that you might be darker in tone but we still feel good for you where it should have been just that we feel good about you irrespective of colour. Not to make one feel about their complexion and then showing our great mentality.

But the fresh breeze has come ultimately with people not just dismissing the concept of such thing, we actually are taking dig to it and continuously objecting such vision of faulty measures. Cinema has power of uniting the whole world on one stand just like music does. Movies and films have language, but cinema and content does not rely on the language only.

The reach of good cinema has increased exponentially in lockdown as audience is realising the worth of cinema and how easily it can put a very debatable topics be it community, racism, Colour discrimination, Religion and human behaviour at most of everything.

Tiger Shroff Sings Unbelievable

The Tiger Shroff song “Unbelievable” is out, and it has literally nothing new to offer. The romantic track has been sung by Shroff, with music and lyrics by Avitesh Shrivastava and DG Mayne, respectively. The music video has been helmed by Punit Malhotra, who had also directed Shroff in Student Of The Year 2.

The video sees Shroff trying to romance a woman, who ultimately falls for him. During this whole act, we also see the actor showing off some of his dance moves, which only slightly elevates the track from what it actually is — a mediocre piece of work.

Nothing about “Unbelievable” is novel. Tiger Shroff’s voice has been heavily auto-tuned, and the video has been partially shot in black-and-white for no good reason. There is no story, the music is derivative and the ‘Hinglish’ lyrics, even more so. The music video of “Unbelievable” has been produced by Big Bang Music and Dharma 2.0.

Why we still lack in conquering over Colour discrimination

Recent times has been very horrifying for the world, not due to COVID-19 but because of some accidents happened based on colour discrimination. Peoples have been tortured due to their complexions. The crimes due to colour discrimination has seen a spike in recent years that too with some known personalities. Many has felt this issue at very high levels and have been vocal about this.

Black Lives Matter has been around since 2013, but there’s been a big shift in public opinion about the movement as well as broader support for recent protests. A deluge of public support from organizations like the N.F.L. and NASCAR for Black Lives Matter may have also encouraged supporters who typically would sit on the sidelines to get involved. On June 6, for example, at least 50,000 people turned out in Philadelphia, 20,000 in Chicago’s Union Park and up to 10,000 on the Golden Gate Bridge, according to estimates by Edwin Chow, an associate professor at Texas State University, and researchers at the Crowd Counting Consortium.

Setback

The problem they think is that they glorified the fair complex with another complex. But thing is not so simple. Also, problem is not with Bollywood instead this has been the impression of whole cinema across the globe. However, Things are getting simplified with better ways in other parts and countries of the world.

Recently after the incident of late George Floyd, whole world was shattered. Whole world stood united to trend and realise the fact that black lives does matters. Until now history has been suffering a lot due to such worst reasons. It is even disgusting to think the way those criminals that made them do such heinous crimes. In the 21^st century, when we claim to be the most developed and progressive creature among all other species in universe.

Reasons

We have somehow been able to deal with racism and colour discrimination, but the crime rate has still not decreased. Crime has seen a surge; however general perception has definitely changed in peoples mind. There has been a notable change in the behaviour of public to such activities. Public has taken a brave step to reduce such happenings.

But the main perception still has been like #blackLivesmatter and quotes defining that they too are humans and they must be treated equally. They should get equalities in every manner all other complex peoples get.

But this idea has flaw because we have been taught to treat another complexion same as fair, but actually there should be point that colour does not matters at all. We should not just treat black peoples equally instead we should evolve to the thought of colours and complexion. We definitely have sense of that, but the idea has been restricted to give equal value. We have to stop judging the peoples on the basis of colour and also, we must realise that complex should not be criteria for anything. There should be the world where colour has no feature to be judged upon and it is person and personality that conquers everything in the world.

• Indian rope trick

India is a land of countless mysteries that have puzzled the rest of the world. Perhaps the most enduring of these mysteries is that of the ‘Indian rope trick’. In the classic version of Indian rope trick, a rope is thrown into the air where it remains rigid. A young boy then climbs the rope, only to disappear at the top. The performer quickly follows him only to disappear when he reaches the top of the vertical rope! Shortly after, pieces of the boy’s body fall from the sky and land on the ground at the bottom of the rope. A few seconds later, the performer is seen climbing down the rope with a blood stained knife in his hand. On reaching firm ground, the performer utters a magic word and the rope falls limp to the ground. He then gathers up the pieces of the boy’s body and bundles them under a sheet. Within seconds, the sheet is lifted and the boy appears completely whole and unharmed! Travellers to India have described this amazing trick for over 600 years, but there is considerable doubt as to whether the trick is fact or fantasy.

• Shroud of Turin

The shroud of Turin is reputedly the cloth in which Jesus Christ was wrapped and buried. The shroud is 4.34 meters long and it bears the image of a man with wounds similar to those suffered by Jesus Christ. The shroud is unquestionably old. Its history is known from the year 1357, when it surfaced in the tiny village of Lirey, France. Today, it is kept in a silver chest in the Cathedral of Saint John, the Baptist in Turin, Italy, where it has been since 1578.

Does the shroud really show the face of Jesus? No one really knows. Although, many scientists have expressed doubts about the accuracy of the image, millions believe it to be divine and it has been a religious relic since the middle ages.

• Loch Ness monster

As far back as the 17th century, people have reported seeing a monster in the Loch Ness in Scotland. Loch means lake in Scotland. This is the largest freshwater lake in the UK. But, rather than being known for its size, it is famous for the mysterious legend of the Loch Ness monster or Nessie.

For thousands of years, people have reported catching glimpse of a huge creature. This creature is said to have a small head, a long neck and an immense body with flippers. Some people have shared photos they claim to have taken of this huge creature. The legend is so great that even scientists have been intrigued and many have conducted experiments and come up with theories to try and explain what people could be witnessing.

One explanation is that the monster could be a prehistoric creature called plesiosaur, an animal that has been considered to be extinct. Maybe one of these creatures managed to survive in the Loch Ness Lake, who knows?

What exactly is Storytelling?

There is so much to speak and listen. Who doesn’t have a story to hear! Everybody has more than one story whether it is Job-related, life-connected, pains of social media etc. And don’t know how many stories we all are filled with. Just try it once. The stories start flowing. That is, life itself is made up of stories. Stories are produced and circulated in our lives one after another. Sayers say if they have something to say. If you know how to tell others, then everyone listens. How will they not listen? They need a teller. A storyteller who is proficient in telling and speaking his voice. There is no shortage of listeners in today’s date. If you have the skills to express, then the listeners are ready. If we can provide any other option to the audience or listeners similar to social media, then nothing can be better than this.

We enjoy or tell stories of our own or others through social media or other mediums. Who went where? What did they eat? Information about where one is roaming etc. is taken and given. Many times you are happy to share your personal moments with others and sometimes you know who is doing what? In whose life now new guests have arrived ? etc. Actually, man is such a living being who cannot sit empty. Either narrates stories of his past or is interested in listening. How efficiently you can tell the story of yourself or others matters. These days there is a great demand for storytellers and speakers in the corporate sector. Storytellers who connect them with management tools by connecting strings of small incidents and everyday life-related events. How a manager treats his team, how to make a project successful, etc. shares theoretical things through the story. The charge for each session is at least ten thousand. What is special about them? If there is something special, can’t we learn the skill of storytelling? There is also a question, what happens in these stories? Our life philosophy and life’s ups and downs are recorded in the stories. If this happened in his or her life, what kind of tricks did he or she adopt and got out of that situation? We often find the light of way and hope from those stories.

Actually, we understand more from stories rather than theories. In theory, you listen to many things and then throw them from the other ear. But when grandmother or friend narrates stories, our interest increases. Because a lot depends on what is said here, who is telling what things and how much interest they have on the stories of one’s own sufferings.

There are women or men in the street who have the skills to tell and narrate stories throughout the day. But we have to understand a difference here or by drawing a line that there is a fundamental difference between storytelling and blasphemy. As mentioned above, through the story in the corporate sector, the biggest and the smallest incidents and things are conveyed to the people. Case studies are also provided in management classes. It is said that such and such employees work in the company. People take more holidays there. So how do you as a manager handle it? Another example can also be that the company was incurring losses for the last two-three years. Production was not happening on time. But when a new manager and leader was appointed, he removed the company from shortcomings within six months and enabled it to run everything on time and according to the goal. Thus this story which we can name it case study. New students of management learn them. And let’s see how to introduce theory into practice.

We learn quickly by listening to and reading the story of how to mould the principles into practice or how a successful leader has succeeded in taking the principles and practices to take the company and organization to a new height. It may be a matter of separate discussion that our socialization has happened many times by principles and grammar. In it, schools, curriculum and textbooks nurture a conservative tradition to a large extent. Whereas in management, everything is tested and verified in practice. Perhaps because of a successful leader and manager, the company and organization achieve new heights.

We have to understand that if the new leader has the ability and skill to execute the sight and vision, from strategy-building to execution, then it can run any project on the path of development. This is a story. Companies share this story among their other employees. When a professional storyteller picks up the same story, he is treated completely different. Here, when we are talking about the story, then it is becoming a little different story of an academic narrator, novelist. Such a story sometimes slips from the eye of the narrator. We can also call such stories a case study.

#MeToo trends as Actress Payal Ghosh accuses Anurag Kashyap of sexual harrassment

Payal Ghosh has said in a statement that initially she was very impressed with Anurag Kashyap, but alter the filmmaker made her feel uncomfortable. However, Anurag Kashyap dismissed the allegations in a series of tweets and described them as “an attempt to silence” him. In a long thread posted in Hindi, Anurag Kashyap wrote, “Wow, it took you so long to make an attempt to silence me. Never mind… in a bid to silence me, you have dragged another woman in this, despite being a woman. Please stick to the limits, Madame. All I want to say is all allegations are baseless.”

Payal Ghosh, who made her Bollywood debut with the 2017 film Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi, co-starring Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, also made an appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help her. She tweeted on Saturday: “Anurag Kashyap has forced himself on me and extremely badly. Narendra Modi ji, kindly take action and let the country see the demon behind this creative guy. I am aware that it can harm me and my security is at risk. Pls help!”

• Why do we wake up from sleep?

Sleep is essential to give the brain and nerves some rest. While we sleep, our bodies too, get a chance to recover from the fatigue caused by daily activities. When we are well rested, both physically and mentally, we wake up. Sometimes, we wake up because we feel cold or hungry or because a bad dream has made us afraid.

To sum up, we all have an internal body clock that tells our brain to wake our bodies up after a certain amount of time. However, some things or situations such as noise, temperature in the room or sunshine interrupt our sleep and wake us up too.

• Why doesn’t glue stick to the insides of the bottle?

The regular white glue that we use is made up of a variety of chemicals that are either sticky or stretchy. White glue also contains water. Water acts as a solvent that keeps the glue liquid until you want it to stick. When you put glue on a piece of paper, the water in it is exposed to air. The water eventually evaporates and as it does so, the glue dries and hardens and holds the things that need to be glued, stuck together.

When the glue is inside the bottle, there’s not enough air inside the bottle to cause the water to evaporate to make the glue sticky. The bottle protects the glue from the air and keeps the glue runny. This is also why if you’ve ever left the top off a glue bottle for a while, the next time you try to use the glue, it would have dried up.

• Why do the lights of a distant town appear to twinkle?

When you are traveling at night, the lights of towns in the distance appear to twinkle. This is because of the constant movement of air above towns. The air above towns is warm, as a result of the heat given off from buildings. Warm air keeps moving up to be replaced by cold air which then gets heated and rises. This constant movement of air is known as turbulence.

When we are near a town or in it, we don’t notice the turbulence because it is quite small and the lights are nearly. However, when we are some distance away, the lights are far away too. They appear as only pinpricks. The warm and cold air that make up the turbulence above the town have different densities and light passing through the layers is bent at different angles because of this difference. As a result it appears as though the lights of the distant town are twinkling.

• Why do clouds have different shapes?

Clouds are made up of tiny droplets of water vapour or ice particles or both. The shape of the cloud depends on its height and temperature. Cumuliform clouds are shaped liked mushrooms and are formed when rising warm air cools as it goes up. Stratiform clouds come in flat, dull layers and are formed when air sinks in a high pressure area, creating a layer of cold air near the ground that doesn’t rise or rises only very slowly. Cirriform clouds are clouds that have risen on a front or tropical cyclone and frozen into ice crystals at very high altitude. They look like thin hair. The shape of cloud also depends on the time of the day.

Towards evening, clouds tend to be thinner and flatter than during daytime. Changes in wind patterns also change the shapes of cloud.

TRAIN TO BUSAN :A MUST WATCH THRILLER

Train to Busan is a 2016 South Korean action horror movie directed by Yeon Sang- ho and starring Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi and Ma Dong-Seok .The film mostly takes place on a train to Busan as a Zombie suddenly breaks out in the country and threatens the safety of the passengers.

The film premiered in the Midnight Screenings section of the 2016 Cannes film festival on 13 May. On 7 August, the film set a record as the first Korean film of 2016 to break the audience record of over 10 million theatergoers. The film serves as a reunion for Gong Yoo and Jung Yu-mi, who both starred in the 2011 film The Crucible. A sequel, Peninsula , was released in South Korea on July 15, 2020.

Sok-woo, a father with not much time for his daughter, Soo-ahn, are boarding the KTX, a fast train that shall bring them from Seoul to Busan. But during their journey, the apocalypse begins, and most of the earth’s population become flesh craving zombies. While the KTX is shooting towards Busan, the passenger’s fight for their families and lives against the zombies – and each other.

Train to Busan brings absolutely nothing new to the zombie genre, but it shows that lack of novelty needn’t be a handicap at all. It has everything you’d expect in a zombie film: The close calls, the mass slaughters, the long chases. A lot of it is quite beautifully shot. A crucial shot of a self-sacrificing man is shown as a shadow… a dark figure of a man who, during the course of the film, manages to turn to light. The film is full of such delicious ironies. A man who isn’t allowed entry into a train compartment by another finds the tables turned later in the film. A homeless man, viewed throughout with suspicion by the other characters, is the reason two upper-class women survive. A woman who’s expecting a child is forced by circumstances to accept another. A girl whose singing falters on account of her father’s lack of support, sings her best when he’s gone forever. Such symmetry in writing doesn’t happen accidentally.

The film is more World War Z than Zombieland. It seeks to thrill; the laughs are very few, like the scene in which a man frustrated at the zombie’s rabid need to bite, shouts, “Are you crazy?!” I wish there had been more such moments, but what it lacks for in amusement, it makes up for in depth — a selfish man, for instance, is forced to destroy himself for a greater good — and some generic albeit sapid commentary on class struggle.

From very early on, when the security try to force out a homeless man from the train, there’s a strong thread of ‘us versus them’ that permeates the film’s universe. In another scene, a father and daughter try to use connections to save themselves, but are ill at ease to learn that the homeless man joins them. If it was their own, another person of their ilk, they probably wouldn’t have been. Towards the end, it even blows over into a full-scale struggle in which the people holed up in a compartment—the comfortable people—refuse to grant entry to another group, suspecting them to be potentially dangerous. So strong is their distaste for this other that they take great pains to lock the door blocking them first before turning their attention to the zombies. So deep runs this mistrust that even zombies seem like the lesser evil. It’s rather revealing that the biggest villain, and in a film that is full of blood-thirsty zombies no less, is a rich man who leads this group against the other.

• Why don’t woodpeckers get a headache?

Have you ever seen woodpeckers striking trees with its long beaks? Woodpeckers hit the trees 20 times per second. Yet they don’t get a headache or any other head injury. The reason for thus is that woodpeckers are born with a helmet for the brain, which is formed of strong, thick muscles and sponge like bones in their skull. A woodpecker’s body too is specially designed to absorb the impact of the hit.

A millisecond before a woodpecker’s bill strikes on a tree dense muscles in the neck contract. Some of the force radiates down the neck muscles and protect the skull from a huge impact. A compressible bone in the skull offers a cushion effect too.

• Why aren’t spiders caught in their own webs?

Spiders spin their webs in a circular pattern that is spotted with sticky glue. When an insect brushes against these drops – each thread can carry several dozen per millimetre – it gets stuck and the spider rushes over to inject it with venom or cocoon it in silk. The question of course is how does the spider escape its own glue tracks? The answer lies in the fact is that the web is the spider’s home and it knows its way around the glue traps. There are some threads in the web that have no glue on them and the spider is careful to move only on these threads. It is also believed that spiders use an oily coating on their legs to protect themselves from getting stuck in their own webs!

There are some rainbows that are colourless. They are called fogbows and are formed when the sun shines through a fog. The drops of water in the fog are too small to split up light into it’s different colours, so the fogbow is white in colour.

• What do we know about left handed animals?

Most people are right handed, though about one in ten among us is left handed. Animals like chimps, hump back whales and even toads favour one hand, paw, claw or fin over the other. Chimpanzees use both hands with ease, but have a preference for the right hand. Toads also prefer their right side to perform differ functions. Polar bears on the other hand, are left handed.

Some species of parrot such as the sulphur- crested cockatoo are entirely left handed, while others, including the king parrot are mainly right handed. The majority of parrots – including the budgie, galah and rainbow lorikeet use both claws comfortably. Female cats are more inclined to be right handed while male cats favour their left paws. The same is true for dogs. Interestingly, dogs wag their tails to the right when relaxed and to the left when agitated!

After so much controversy on drug angle which is revolving in the news. Whole Bollywood is now just started to react on this. However, reaction is mixed but still majority of industry has opted to remain silent on the burning issues.Now the great legend has given his thoughts on this issue which we are going to tell you now because you must give a shot to some points that he has made regarding the whole matter. Akhtar has been renowned for presenting his valuable advice and comment on various issues.

He recently gave an interview where he told his take on all the matters. Javed out and out told that drugs is a wrong sentiment in whole world and there is a solid reason behind banning it from whole universe. A lot of people have risked and lost their lives in such unimportant things. Millions of money and time has been wasted by this fake and man-made pleasure. He told that he had only heard about it and still it feels worse just by thinking.

It has been said that Youth has been affected by it most. I haven’t seen any drugs with my naked eyes in my whole life. It is not just a problem to industry rather it’s an issue threatening the society. It is among the worst of problems world is suffering currently. There should be more ponder on this to eliminate it fully. However, he somewhat said he don’t know that it is legal or illegal as per law.

Jawed Akhtar has also poured views on various topic across the interview. The drug thing has become the most discussed and hyped issues after Kangana quoted that 90% -90% of the Bollywood is used to of taking drug. The Actor turned BJP MP also raised this issue in the parliament. Ravi kishan bluntly criticized the practice and its growing network all around.

Then in parliament, there was a big mess as Jaya Bacchan didn’t agreed with this and opposed this with a long speech. He replied that on the mere mistake of some peoples, ravi kishan can’t defame the whole industry. Kangana also replied opposing the comment of jaya bacchan in Twitter. Twitter was trending whole day on this topic with retweets of various celebrity or influencers in twitter.

This whole incidents in and out on online made quite a few persons against the Kangana on the whole Drug-nepotism-SSR triangle. As very peoples have expressed in this issue recently.

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has said that he was told that drugs were served on trays at high-profile Bollywood parties, although he has never personally witnessed it. His comments come after Kangana Ranaut alleged that 99% of the film industry has been exposed to drugs. Vikram said, “I have never been to a party where drugs have been taken by anyone. I have been to big parties. Somebody once told me that in some parties, different kinds of drugs are offered in trays. The guests then pick up the drug of their choice. However, I have never seen any such thing in the parties I’ve been to.”

Whether you love this show or hate it; whether you think it’s the drama gods’ gift to mankind or the most ludicrous thing to ever grace our screens – heck, whether you even watch kdrama or not – you just can’t ignore it.

When I first started watching Descendants of the Sun sometime last week, I had no idea how popular it was. During its original run in South Korea, it broke record ratings with a 28.5 percent viewership surpassing another insanely popular kdrama from two years ago called My Love From Another Star (that one was so popular, there’s going to be an American remake, although I don’t know what happened with that project) in only six episodes. It then continued to surpass its own ratings as the show went on. It currently has over 440 million views in China on legal and not-so-legal streaming sites and has been sold to 27 countries and translated into 32 languages.

I watched the first episode and at about maybe 20 minutes into the first episode, I had fallen head-over-heels in love.

Descendants of the Sun Review – Epic Romantic K-Drama

The story revolves around a special task force officer, Yoo Shi-Jin (Song Joong-Ki) and a surgeon Kang Mo-Yeon (Song Hye-Kyo) who meet under extraordinary circumstances. Their fate seems to collide again and again and they slowly realise their feelings for each other. Either their relationship will be strong enough to handle everything or will one be left behind forever.

Yoo Shi-Jin and Kang Mo-Yeon😍 indeed meet under extraordinary circumstances which leads to a misunderstanding. Yoo Shi-Jin is immediately attracted to the feisty surgeon but they don’t get enough time to know each other. When Kang Mo-Yeon and her team are sent to Urk for medical works, they come face to face once again and their incomplete story begins again. This show is kind of cheesy too but it’s worth it! I couldn’t stop smiling at some of the moments and most of their interaction was pretty hilarious!

But the story had its serious moments too, especially when the earthquake happened and everything was in chaos, also when the epidemic broke out, I loved how the characters handled things. It kept me on edge and I was glued to the screen to know what happened next! There were also a loooot of side characters and I definitely enjoyed the fact that all the main focus was on always on the main leads but we were getting to know about the others as well.

Anyway, their precious moments were interrupted a lot due to Yoo Shi-Jin emergency duty calls but they took their chance in the small moments possible. Their chemistry was crystal clear from the very start although the relationship slowly develops. (And I loooooove that now they are married in real life!!!) Trust was one of the most important factors and their trust in each other was the strongest! I absolutely loved the romance.

Also, I absolutely loved the secondary pair. Seo Dae-Young (Jin Goo) and Yoon Myeong-Joo (Kim Ji-Won) were just adorable!! Yoon Myeong-Joo was an army doctor but due to her father who was the General, Seo Dae-Young was forced to stay away from her. It broke my heart to see those two hurting but I loved when they finally stood up for each other!

Descendants of the Sun was a fantastic watch! One that will stay will me forever! The plot although a little cliched was executed perfectly and loved the characters and the romance!! But the last two episodes were kind of crazy, I didn’t feel it was necessary to do that of an extreme thing but well, I was satisfied in the end!

HOSTAGES 2 REVIEW😀

Hostages Season 2’ picks up from where Season 1 had left off. It shifts its attention from Dr. Anand’s family, who were held hostage by Singh and his gang in the previous season. This time around, the hostage-taker’s plan is a bit too personal — he needs the CM’s bone marrow to save his wife’s life. But nothing goes as planned because of Saba’s (Shriswara Dubey) deteriorating health conditions and they now must halt their journey and take shelter in an abandoned house (Purani Kothi) on the Delhi-Gurgaon Highway. But that’s not all, the CM’s head of security, Subramanian (Mohan Kapur), hunts the gang down, and gunshots are fired which attracts local cops’ attention. Just as things get rolling, events conspire to set up a brand-new hostage situation — will Prithvi be successful in finding a way out of this mess and getting the bone marrow transplant for his wife?

The screenplay is a bit slow but manages to keep the audience hooked as the tension between the main characters has been highlighted quite well. While a few subplots feel a bit forced everything falls into place once the show reaches the business end.The death of a key character too has been executed with a fair deal of competence and makes the desired impact. The last two episodes in particular pack a punch as it has a strong emotional connect. The climax has a strong ‘shock value’.

Coming to the performances, Ronit Roy is the heart and soul of Hostages 2 and does full justice to a layered character. His raw and natural intensity adds a new dimension to the show, upping the recall value. He also handles the emotional sequences rather well.

Divya Dutta is sincere and makes a decent impact in the opening episodes. Dino Morea looks stylish but fails to add much to Hostages 2. Veteran actor Dalip Tahil delivers an effective performance, proving that he has still got it. Kanwalijit Singh,however, fails to make an impact as he is burdened with a generic and one-dimensional character.

While not quite as riveting as its precursor, this season has impressive production values and fine performances. Among them are Ronit Bose Roy, who returns as the mastermind Prithvi Singh, Aashim Gulati as Prithvi’s sensitive and steadfast brother-in-law Aman and Divya Dutta as the perceptive negotiator. Kanwaljit Singh provides the temperance associated with a commanding police officer. Amit Sial, Mohan Kapur, Faezeh Jalali, Dalip Tahhil and Shriswara Dubey reprise their roles as Peter, Subramanian, Sarah, Handa and Saba respectively.

The background music could have a lot better as it does not up the thrill quotient associated with Hostages 2, The action sequences, however, are upto the mark and have a realistic feel. The other technical aspects have been handled well .
