Dirty Queen

When the cool wind gently kissed the trees ,they didn’t make any noise and there was a moon shining bright in that silence.

Everyday you have your different version ,you might be changing constantly but my love towards you will never change even in your absence.

Everyone is like you, created by imperfections. We all have our dark side which we never want to show it to anyone rather shine like you in that darkness. You never try to attract others but we have been influenced by your beautiful nature.

When all others have fear of darkness you stay in it and make us shine. When all others have fear to enter into the ocean you enter into it, which shows that you are powerful.

We have always been fascinated by your massive look that illuminates us at dark night. The only thing which makes me sad is , I don’t know why do you move away 3.8 centimetres from me every year?

Since you are so very beautiful ,no other mirror can hold your beauty other than ocean. The sun dies at every night to make you birth and you die at every morning to make sun birth.

Ten years ago, the moon was an inspiration to poets and an opportunity for loves. Ten years from now, it will be just another airport.

You look beautiful to those who seek beauty . Sometimes I wonder who are you to me? We always watch me like God,you never leave me like a loyal companion ,you are the one with whom I share everything like a friend.

You look at many beautiful things in this dark night but we all see only one beautiful thing and that is you.

Women Empowerment

Women empowerment refers to making women powerful to make them capable of deciding for themselves. Women have suffered a lot through the years at the hands of men. In earlier centuries, they were treated as almost non-existent. As if all the rights belonged to men even something as basic as voting. As the times evolved, women realized their power. There on began the revolution for women empowerment.

As women were not allowed to make decisions for them, women empowerment came in like a breath of fresh air. It made them aware of their rights and how they must make their own place in society rather than depending on a man. It recognized the fact that things cannot simply work in someone’s favor because of their gender. However, we still have a long way to go when we talk about the reasons why we need it.

Need for Women Empowerment

Almost every country, no matter how progressive has a history of ill-treating women. In other words, women from all over the world have been rebellious to reach the status they have today. While the western countries are still making progress, third world countries like India still lack behind in Women Empowerment.

In India, women empowerment is needed more than ever. India is amongst the countries which are not safe for women. There are various reasons for this. Firstly, women in India are in danger of honor killings. Their family thinks its right to take their lives if they bring shame to the reputation of their legacy.

Moreover, the education and freedom scenario is very regressive here. Women are not allowed to pursue higher education, they are married off early. The men are still dominating women in some regions like it’s the woman’s duty to work for him endlessly. They do not let them go out or have freedom of any kind.In addition, domestic violence is a major problem in India. The men beat up their wife and abuse them as they think women are their property. More so, because women are afraid to speak up.

Similarly, the women who do actually work get paid less than their male counterparts. It is downright unfair and sexist to pay someone less for the same work because of their gender. Thus, we see how women empowerment is the need of the hour. We need to empower these women to speak up for themselves and never be a victim of injustice. How to Empower Women? There are various ways in how one can empower women. The individuals and government must both come together to make it happen.

Education for girls must be made compulsory so that women can become illiterate to make a life for themselves.Women must be given equal opportunities in every field, irrespective of gender. Moreover, they must also be given equal pay. We can empower women by abolishing child marriage. Various programs must be held where they can be taught skills to fend for themselves in case they face financial crisis. Most importantly, the shame of divorce and abuse must be thrown out of the window. Many women stay in abusive relationships because of the fear of society. Parents must teach their daughters it is okay to come home divorced rather than in a coffin.

Career choices and obstacles

Career choices and obstacles

Abstract

We all learn to get work. Learning is different according to our needs and interest in our careers. We set the objective, make goals and identify the obstacles. Sometimes obstacles change our choices and interests too.

Keyword

Career, obstacles.

Introduction

Career can be defined as the process in which we learn certain skills to get the job/ work. Choosing a career is not an easy task. An individual needs to set goals, objectives and schedule their whole life according to that aim. Career helps and individual to earn wealth, name and fame. Because of this reason people want to choose the high profile ranking job.

In India parents help their children to settle their career- by providing funds for their business or by providing education and qualification till the higher studies. Parents want their children to attain the high position in society. According to them – only some jobs have respect in society- engineer, doctors, lawyer and teacher.

The work culture are as

Gold or white collar jobs- doctor, surgeon, engineer lawyer.

Green collar job- They related to the environmental sector

Red collar job – government services

Pink collar job- EnterConclusion

Black collar job- worker

This working culture divide the people and classifies them from a high job profile to a low job profile.

The career choices are divided not only on the basis of what the child wants, but also what their parents and society require.

The obstacles are stated from here when the parents ask the child to learn more so they get a good job as a career.

Obstacles children face to choose their career.

Family : Family is a supportive pillar for an individual. They provide their best to the child but the actual thing they forget to give is freedom to choose their career on their own. Somewhere, the male child is pressured to become an engineer , doctor or any job related to white collar job. The female child would do some non technical courses. This thinking of family becomes an obstacles for an individual to choose their career option.

Division of work : As above we discussed how the collar colour described the nature of the job. Parents prefer  that their children go with white collar or pink collar jobs. Because the job consists of fame and wealth. So the division of work becomes an obstacle to choosing a career.

Potential of an individual: Every individual has their own potential to gain knowledge. Some are really good at writing work, others are good at designing. When we as parents want to take out that potential, we forget that what the child innates is his/ her self. It is important to analyse the real potential  of an individual. When we can’t do that it becomes an obstacle to choosing a career.

Lack of Motivation: sometimes an individual has enough potential knowledge and skills to do a particular job. But due to lack of motivation, they don’t want to do that work. They thought that what if they failed. They are afraid of society and don’t  want to laugh. And the obstacles can affect their career choosing process. So it is important to give motivation to your child if they have any special talent in themselves.

These are some of the obstacles which impact on an individual to choose their career. There are many others but they are major.

Conclusion

Family plays an important role in choosing a career for an individual. As the family member we should be supportive and try to remove obstacles , so they can choose their career according to their interests and not under any pressure.

Republic Day

India celebrates Republic Day on January 26 annually with a lot of pride and fervor. It is a day that is important to every Indian citizen. It marks the day when India became truly independent and embraced democracy. In other words, it celebrates the day on which our constitution came into effect. On 26 January 1950, almost 3 years post-independence, we became a sovereign, secular, socialist, democratic republic.

History of Republic Day

While we got independence from British rule on August 15, 1947, our country was still lacking a concrete constitution. Moreover, India also did not have any experts and political powers which would help in the functioning of the state affairs smoothly.  Up until then, the 1935 Government of India Act was basically modified in order to govern, however, that act was more bent towards the colonial rule. Therefore, there was a dire need to form an exclusive constitution that would reflect all that India stands for.

Thus, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar led a constitutional drafting committee on August 28, 1947.  After drafting, it was presented to the Constituent Assembly by the same committee on November 4, 1947. This whole procedure was very elaborate and took up to 166 days to complete. Moreover, the committee organized sessions were kept open to the public.

No matter the challenges and hardships, our constitutional committee left no stone unturned to include rights for all. It aimed to create the perfect balance so all citizens of the country could enjoy equal rights pertaining to their religions, culture, caste, sex, creed and more. At last, they presented the official Indian constitution to the country on January 26, 1950.

Moreover, the first session of the India Parliament was also conducted on this day. In addition to that, 26th January also witnessed the swearing-in of India’s first president, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. Thus, this day is very important as it marks the end of the British rule and birth of India as a Republic State.

Republic Day CelebrationsIndians celebrate January 26 each year with lots of enthusiasm and zeal. On this day, people forget their religion, caste, creed, sex, and more. It brings together the country as a whole. It truly shows the diversity of our country. The capital city of India, New Delhi, celebrates it with a Republic Day Parade that showcases the might of the Indian Military and the cultural diversity of our country. These parades take place in other cities as well, where a lot of schools participate in.

It is a delight to watch the children and professionals put in so much effort. The way they grace the parade makes one proud of their country. We also do National Flag Hoisting on this day. In New Delhi, after the President of India hoists our National Flag, 21 guns salute follow it with the national anthem played by the military band.Further, in schools, March Past takes place and it is mandatory for every student to attend the celebrations. In many schools, they distribute sweets on this day as well.

While it is a very joyous day, we must not forget the struggle of freedom that our forefathers took part in. Moreover, it is a day to celebrate the spirit of freedom and make sure to help India reach greater heights in the future.

5 common habits which are as dangerous as smoking

India is home to more than 12% of world smokers. In India alone, 10 million people die each year due to smoking. Smoking as a habit is seen more common in youngsters these days. These habits then become so addictive that for some people it is even carried to their death bed. But there are more habits that are as dangerous as smoking. We often ignore these habits but they have the potential of causing us the same harm as smoking does.

Loneliness:

Research has proven that loneliness can affect our overall health. Its impact is more significant on brain health. There are also studies that point out the connection between loneliness and developing diseases such as dementia and Alzheimer’s. In India, almost 22% of elders stay alone.

We all know that food is necessary to maintain good health but not many of us practice that on daily basis. Many of us eat junk foods, and foods rich in salt and sugars. Not just those, we often do not include vegetables and fruits in our diet. Taking poor diet causes diseases like obesity, diabetes, etc. In India, people consume more cereals and avoids proteins, fruits, and vegetables. There is an increasing status of obesity among men and women, especially in urban areas.

Inactive lifestyle:

In the contemporary world, we all sit long hours in front of the screen. A study in 2014, by the University of Regensburg in Germany, showed that every 2 hours a person sit, increases the chances of colon cancer by 8% and chances of lung cancer by 6%. This was regardless of other physical activity during the day.

Sleep deprivation:

Sitting long hours before the screen aids in sleep deprivation as well. The blue light from the screen has been linked with problems like strained eyes, blurred vision, and even cataracts. Almost 33% of adults in the country suffer from insomnia and the bigger problems.

Pessimistic attitude:

We all have heard of the phrase that does not let negative attitude ruin your life. But negative attitude and pessimism are now a widespread problem. Pessimism is when you think that things will go wrong or will not go according to your plans. This leads to depression and unwanted stress.
