Stress, Anxiety, Load, Pressure, Depression, Overthinking, etc have became the friends of human beings these days. All these things have became the daily routine of all of us. We are so much engaged in these that we have lost our pure joy, our inner self. Where is our inner peace gone? Also the another part of this is that different kinds of diseases that we have never heard about them are coming in front of us and some of us are suffering form them. We are running behind money, yes it’s our duty to earn for our living but we are striving for more and more money, but people having money are they really happy, Joyful ? Have we came on this earth to suffer all these things? Have we taken birth to run after money, Job, Business, Girlfriend/Boyfriend, etc ? or there is something else for which we have came here ?

How does this Stress, Anxiety,Depression, Overthinking, etc come in us ?

Usually a human being keeps thinking about his past or about his future. When he thinks about his past he keeps on torturing himself why this happened to me? Why did behaved like that? When he thinks about the future he keeps worrying about What will happen? Will I get that or not? all these things leads to imbalance and gives rise to all the stress, anxiety, depression, overthinking within us and it grows very seriously in us that it becomes impossible to get out of it and it becomes our behavior. How Sahaja yoga Meditation helps in balancing our lives?

The Left side is all about our emotions or the ‘Ichha Shakti’, our past activities. While the right side is all about our work also called as ‘Kriya Shakti’ and our future. And the central path is all about our present, about the truth, it is the path of our evolution. It gives us the absolute peace. In the lower part of our the abdomen, in the triangular part of our secrum bone is the Kundalini, it is the power of pure desire within us. When it rises, it passes through our central channel and peerses out of the fontanel bone area at the top of our head and gets connected to the all pervading power in the whole universe. We feel the cool breeze at the top of our head and on our hands. This moments gives us complete thoughtless awareness state and absolute peace.

Day after day, the planet is proceeding to fall into the ocean of destruction. Each day factories are releasing poisonous smoke and harmful effluents in the nature. As it is said there is pre defined limit of everything, nature too has a limit to accept destruction and degradation of the environment. The day is coming nearer and nearer when the nature will revert back with the same intensity in the form of natural disasters and human beings will not be in a state to do anything.

Each day a new factory opens up. Each day, each firm tries to increase its production as compared to the previous day. Each day millions of litres of water in the rivers and other water bodies gets polluted by industrial and domestic waste. But everyone is so engrossed into earning money and increasing GDP and profit that human beings have assumed that they’re owners of the natural resources or environment. Human beings should realize that they are part of nature, they’ve to live their lives being just a responsible organism and go away. But in the mean process of making money and wealth people forgot that nature is suffering and natural resources being limited in amount will end up one day.

Almost 80.6 million cars are sold each year all across the world. Cars and automobiles use fuel (which is again limited in amount in nature) and release harmful gases into the air like Carbon Monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons and many more. Each year the number of automobiles on roads is increasing, and due to which more harmful gases are released in nature, hence more pollution.

Between 1990 and 2016, the world lost 502,000 square miles (1.3 million square kilometers) of forest, according to the World Bank—an area larger than South Africa. Since humans started cutting down forests, 46 percent of trees have been felled, according to a 2015 study in the journal Nature. Millions of hectares of forests are clearing up each year by things like deforestation, forest fires, etc. But readers, when it comes to plantation, people turn back and are with no answers. Each year in India, government employees have to plant a sapling and take care of it, but the sapling is given water and care only till the plantation is captured in the camera. After that, nobody cares about the plant, the tree whether it gets dried because of shortage of water or gets eaten upon by cattle. Forest cover is reducing resulting in excess heating of the atmosphere, climate change and lesser oxygen which is the lifeline of every living organism.

Another aspect is population growth. The 2016 average of 18.6 births per 1,000 total populations equates to approximately 4.3 births per second or about 256 births per minute for the world. Births are taking place at an increased rate and resources are limited for the survival of the upcoming generations. The uncurbed and heavy usage of natural resources is going to leave the reserves of natural resources to be empty. The future generations have to face excessive climate change and have to starve even for getting water and food grains. Each day, the load on natural resources is increasing. The goal of sustainable development is just achieved maybe in figures or news. But in reality people are exploiting the nature at an aggregate level altogether just in the name of growth but actually satisfying their greed.

Greed to earn more, to own more.

But yes everyone wants more and more from nature, but never want to give anything to the nature. Some great people came, started successful campaigns for nature and went away. But now a generation is left which wants all the credit and all the popularity even after doing just a small noble deed for nature and its organisms. People just want to extract everything from nature and want to get the attention by clicking a picture sitting beside a small sapling showing plantation or standing with plastic showing cleanliness campaign.

Each human being should realize their responsibility towards nature. Economists say that inflow or the imports must be equal to the outflow or the exports, and then only equilibrium can be established. Similarly, whatever is taken from nature, it must be returned back to the nature in the same or even greater amounts. Mentioning all the environment saving techniques is not worthy as till the time people will not realize their participation in saving nature and building a good planet, no list of techniques and no piece of writing will be able to move them and get concerned for the nature.

Attempts to save nature at an individual level will soon turn out to be major attempts at aggregate level that will be helping to save the earth and the leaving a much better planet for survival of the future generations.

The author expects that all the readers of this article, being a sensible and responsible human being, should realize the need for saving the nature, for saving the Earth.

In the present times, everyone is just running all the time. Whether the person works in an office, or he or she is a home maker or a student too, everyone is so busy in their daily schedule that hardly few people extract time for their physical and mental self. Along with advancements in the field of technology, there are advancements in the diseases too. New diseases are taking birth and troubling the humans.

Individuals post on social media and say ‘Back to Basics’, without even knowing its true meaning. People think that being back to basics means that living a life in a remote area and eating the forest products. But returning to basics in true sense means living in the same surroundings and adopting the good techniques in life to make it disease free and simple too.

For the Indian people, from the ancient times ‘Yoga’ was a very good way to explore the inner self and finding peace of mind. But, the mentality of the people is just going to an air conditioned gym and spending huge amount of money on gym and the protein supplements. Whereas, Yoga is such a simpler exercise that anyone can do it at their place just with a mat beneath them and some time.

Yoga evolves from the Yoga Sutras which were written by Patanjali. Patanjali was a sage in India who is the author of many Sanskrit works including the most important, The Yoga Sutras. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali are a collection of 196 Sanskrit sutras (aphorisms) on the theory and practice of Yoga. The Yoga Sutras were compiled sometime between 500 BCE and 400 CE by Patanjali in India who synthesized and organized knowledge about yoga from much older traditions.

Swami Vivekananda was the first person to promote and encourage Yoga at the global level. He published a book called ‘Raja Yoga’ in America in 1985 where he wrote about the productivity and the benefits of yoga for an individual. He took references from the Patanjali Yoga Sutras and told the world about the physical, mental and spiritual influence of Yoga in an individual’s life.

Doing Yoga practices early in the morning at the time of sunrise or after it and in the evening too is so beneficial for the body. Asanas in Yoga helps to cure Vata, Pitta and Kapha defects of the Human body. In the physical body, Vata is the subtle energy of movement, Pitta the energy of digestion and metabolism, and Kapha the energy that forms the body’s structure.
The most beneficial Yoga Asana is the Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation). Under this asana, different other asanas like Pranamasana, Hasta Uttanasana, Hasta Padasana, Ashwa Sanchalanasa, Chaturanga Dandasana, Ashtanga Namaskara, and Bhujangasana. Various other Asana in yoga like Kapaalbhati, Anulom-Vilom, Brahmari, etc which are so helpful for the body.

There are various videos of Yoga teachers teaching Yoga Asanas on Youtube and there are students too pursuing graduation and post graduation in yoga who teach it to others around them. Practicing Yoga and doing it daily afterwards all by self will help an individual to get rid of different types of physical and mental disorders. There is OM chanting too in which the Yogi (person doing Yoga) chants OM, in which there is a practice of breathing along with acquiring spiritual peace at the same time.

At present, the most influential promoter and the best instructor of Yoga is Swami Ramdev. Swami Ramdev is instructing people Yoga in India and all across the globe since 2002. He is the co-founder of the Patanjali brand producing different Ayurvedic products that are useful for the Human body.

Yoga is being practiced by children right from the age of 3, and also by the elderly people of age 65-70 and even more. It is a symbol of Indian culture as it evolved from India. Indians should necessarily know that what Yoga is and how it is performed. It is the reason behind the sharp mind and a healthy body. Not only children, middle aged people and elderly people but the younger generation which is contributing each day a lot in the economy, should practice Yoga each day so that they can tell this precious art to the future generations.

For a sound body, sound mind and a sound nation, Yoga is the only solution”

Sex Education: A way to prevent the Productive Youth from falling into a hole of darkness

In this fast evolving world, advancements are there along with crimes increasing at a double speed. In the age when puberty arrives into the life of a youngster, there are various changes happening in the body. There are bodily (physical changes) and a lot of mental changes too. It’s a time for evolving of a kid into a well developed individual with good presence of mind and the sense of what is wrong or what is right.

Particularly talking about India, such topics are never discussed seriously and openly neither in family nor at schools. But still growth of an individual will not wait for the society to have a discussion on it; it will take place at the right time with the right person. Many youngsters just can’t handle that what is going on in their body and eventually curse and start hating their selves. It is considered that it’s not all good to talk about such topics openly. Everyone gets so uncomfortable when one has to talk about it or to give some information regarding the same.

Though, it is such a natural process that happens with everyone, discussions on such topics in India are always considered as a taboo.

According to SIECUS, the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States, 93% of adults they surveyed support sexuality education in high school and 84% support it in junior high school. In fact, 88% of the parents of junior high school students and 80% of parents of secondary school students believe that sex education in school makes it easier for them to talk to their adolescents about sex. Also, 92% of adolescents report that they want both to talk to their parents about sex and to have comprehensive in-school sex education.

There was lot of expectations from the new education policy that has been introduced recently. Students and psychologists wanted the New Education policy to get included into the course curriculum in schools all across the Nation. But sad it is that there was no such inclusion of education for the students.

Adolescents are always curious to know about what is sex, what is their sexuality and similar topics about which they are never told. After the arrival of social media and its reach to a large group of young children, there are high chances of a child landing into problems like online bullying, indulging into forced sex, addiction to pornography and masturbation, mental disorders because of an uneducated mind, problems like depression and self regret, etc.

Even after regulations by the government there are still a lot of sites filled with dirty videos of pornography that are eating up the future of a productive individual and ultimately a very big loss to the nation and to the person himself. Many crimes against the teenagers take place daily. And also at the same time, many incidents of rapes by teenagers are heard in news and in newspapers too. In most of the cases the convicts and the victims say about a watching inappropriate content on the internet or being forcefully exposed to such content. In this all process, an individual kills himself or herself. They ruin their own future and time because of lack of awareness and knowledge about sex education.

Now, one can estimate how important it is to involve sex education into the course curriculum. There is need of support both from the side of school and from parents too.

The objectives of sex education are to help children understand the body structures of men and women and acquire the knowledge about birth. Teaching children to establish and accept the role and responsibility of their own gender by acquiring the knowledge of sex. Understanding the differences and similarities between two genders in terms of body and mind will set up a foundation for the future development in their acquaintance with friends and lovers and their interpersonal relationship. Sex education is a kind of holistic education. It teaches an individual about self-acceptance and the attitude and skills of interpersonal relationship.

It also helps an individual to cultivate a sense of responsibility for him and the acts what he or she are doing. Its role is similar to like that of power booster; as it gives more power to the jogger to jog long without any difficulty. Similarly, after the bookish knowledge, when an individual knows about his sexuality, healthy sex, sex at the right age, good and bad touch, hormonal changes, the individuals gets completed in himself / herself and becomes into a productive work personnel with proper balance of mind and the sense of responsibility towards his nation, his economy.

Hence, inclusion of sex education into a person’s life will bring stability, peace of mind and the sense of responsibility and help in the wholesome development of an individual.

How to balance both work & life ?

There used to be a time when the domain of work and personal life were clearly distinct. But with globalization becoming the norm of the day the chances of work encroaching into one’s personal life and vice versa has become alarming. If you think one day you will be lucky enough to get everything set and then relax, you are bound to be disappointed. Life will be always demanding and may not slow up any time soon. Learning to strike a balance between work and life is an ongoing art. Despite the never ending quest for ‘Work-Life Balance’ it has been cropping in our mind what does it actually mean.

Work–life balance is a broad concept including proper prioritizing between “work” ( career and ambition ) on the one hand and “life” ( health, pleasure, leisure, family and spiritual development ) on the other. It is also related to “lifestyle balance” and “life balance”. Sadly, there is no perfect ‘one-size fits all’, balance you are looking for. It is different for each of us because we all have different priorities and different lives. Trying to schedule an equal number of hours for each of your various work and personal activities seems unrealistic and robotic. Life is and should be more fluid than that.

The paradox is that right balance for you today will probably be different tomorrow say when you are single or when you get married, or when you start a new career or are nearing your retirement. Work-life balance is a two-pronged approach. The other prong of work-life balance, which many individuals overlook, relates to what individuals do for themselves. Our haphazard lifestyle has put us in the paraphrase of “I am running all the time.” At the core of an effective work-life balance are two key concepts that are relevant to all of us. They are daily achievement and enjoyment. Why do you want a better income, a new house, a good college or a dream job ? Achievement and Enjoyment are the front and back of the coin of value in life. Trying to live a one sided life is why so many “successful” people are not nearly as happy as they should be.

Engraining a fuller meaning of these two concepts is like half the battle won to define a positive ‘Work-Life Balance’. Most of us already have a good grasp on the meaning of achievement. But enjoyment is not restricted to simply ha ha. It means pride, satisfaction, happiness, celebration, love, a sense of well being, in a nutshell it means all the joys of living. On the other hand corporate world today has become exceedingly demanding. The changing economic conditions and social demands have changed the nature of work throughout the world. Within the ramped up competition of a 24/7 business cycle, ‘work-life’ balance is becoming unbalanced. The imbalance also has a negative impact in the personal life of working people- increasing number of divorces, infertility due high stress levels, advent of nuclear families etc.

While we strike for a work life balance, we are not merely balancing our profession and family, we are also balancing our mental and status quo and thereby balancing our emotional intelligence, which is the worldly ability to manage you and to handle others. This benefits the company in the long-run. Similarly, women work force now constitutes a significant percentage of the total work force in any organization today. Women executives have to deal with- running a home, doing daily chores like cooking/cleaning, raising family and handle the tight deadlines at home and work. The society over the years has recognized women’s need to legal and financial independence. But the transition to motherhood still continues to have practical and emotional consequences. It also affects their professional stature when they return to work.

Organizations today to some extent have realized the importance of the employee-work-life balance and its importance in the efficiency of the employees. They can help facilitate work-life balance for their employees through work-life programs and training. In offices also, efforts are being made to provide friendly work atmosphere for the employees by providing all sorts of refreshments available for the employee. The employees are given the freedom to have their own ways of doing the work. They are given the assignments with deadlines and they can have their own schedule as far as they are meeting the deadlines. Some organizations have gone to the extent of involving the families of the employees by introducing maternity leaves / paternity leaves and various holiday packages and insurance schemes. Organizations now focus on grooming their employees who are now not considered merely a work force but regarded as the ‘Human Capital’ of the organization.

To maintain work-life balance is an arduous task. But still it is within one’s reach, if one follows the simple tips listed here :

Plan your agenda : Start your day by taking care of the little things you have to do at home. A little planning is essential. Taking care of home needs in advance will help you to be less tensed during working hours. Strike a work-life balance by evaluating your work-home relationships like listing out the amount of time you are spending at work and home.

Organize : Everything in your business should be set up using logical systems so anyone needing anything can find it when they need it.

Prioritize ruthlessly : The secret to booking your time effectively boils down to knowing what’s important and what can wait. Ask questions that help you determine the level of urgency.

Don’t overbook : Things rarely go according to a prearranged agenda. Don’t try to plan on doing too many things. Assume that only 50% of the things you plan on doing today will actually get done. If you don’t, you’ll just waste valuable time trying to find out why things didn’t happen.

Be Productive : Switch on to the work mode when you are at work. Be sure that you shut off the part of the brain that makes you worry about your home life. Remind yourself that it is work time and you need to be most productive.

Learn to say no : One of the biggest land mines to effective time management is recognizing you don’t have to agree to everything and with everyone. Use your priority criteria to identify requests that simply aren’t worth your time.

Everything is not perfect : Time management isn’t an exact science. Do what you can and enjoy whatever time you spend more pleasantly or productively.

Focus on Home Life : While you are enjoying your home life, try to avoid intruding into work life by checking emergency e-mails or answering work- related phone calls. The best way to focus on home life will be crumbled to pieces if you intrude into your work life while at home.

Hence, the concept of ‘Work life balance’ is becoming more and more relevant in a ever-dynamic working environment. The role played by the individual is as important as that of the organization in managing this tumultuous see saw. One of the best approaches to this is by the use of one’s emotional intelligence. Be sure to remember that striking a work-life balance is a continuous process, rather than a one-shot deal. Work and home life should be balanced. If there is a tilt in the balance there are chances of soaring stress levels.
