BOLLYWOOD: NOT SO GLAMOROUS INDUSTRY

“Bollywood” lately has always been making headlines but this time for a change the news is not so heartwarming. Bollywood is India’s biggest film industry which has always caught the attention of millions of people who are or were planning to make their career in acting. The glamour world looks beautiful from the outside with new fashion trends, expensive lifestyle, etc.

However, the year 2020 which was a lot unpredictable witnessed the unfortunate demise of one the actor, Mr. Sushant Singh Rajput which has raised various enigmas regarding the functioning and clarity of this captivating world. The death talented actor has showcased the reality of Bollywood and has created a stir amongst the entire audience. Although, Bollywood actors who made it big with their hard work and dedication had previously mentioned ‘Nepotism’ as a hindrance in their path of success and did not get a proper chance to prove their abilities and skills were always taken as a joke and it is very much upsetting to see the facts that it costed the life of a remarkably skilled young actor for the public to consider this subject thoughtfully.

It has made the audience to recognize the fact that it is them who has the power, it is they who has raised them to stardom, and now it’s the audience have to chance and reason to choose what is right and the outrage of the public was much apparent in their response to the movie trailer of a popular personality as well as in the social media platforms against the product of nepotism with trending tweets like boycott Bollywood and famous actors and producer. This high profile stars almost rules this industry and who believes in “Monarchy”. Indian especially the Hindi film industry which actually should have been the platform to give an unbiased chance to showcase the capability of the nation, a stage were people with talent and interest had a chance to build their career is now almost over with this ugly truth coming into the forefront”. Being one of the most Prominent cinema industries rather than impacting the lives of millions of souls positively has on the contrast wrecked and shattered the dreams of people.

The time has come it’s not the actors or producers who have the power over Bollywood, we the audience have the power for it. The actors leading a life wearing masks are fake in real life. Even animals care for their kind but humans are just selfish and Bollywood has proven it with a hard-hitting reality. We have to choose who should shine and who should not and it’s high time, we need to make the right choice for the betterment for our future generation, and Let’s give the young talents a fair chance and bring back the glory of the industry along with the nation. This is the least we can do for SSR a tribute to him and let him live in our hearts and let’s not do a mistake again.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s Life Story Inspires a Second Film ‘Sushant’ by Sanoj Mishra

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has led to debates and discussions around the existence of nepotism, favouritism, lobbying, camps in Bollywood. It’s been more than a week and two films are already in the plan related to Sushant. Earlier, director Shamik Maulik shared his idea of making a film on Sushant’s life titled Suicide or Murder: A Star Was Lost. It is based on how actors with no film background are treated by the industry when they try to make their career in the movie world. In an Instagram post, Sandip wrote, “You made me a promise. We, the Bihari brothers, will one day rule this industry and be the inspiration/support system for all young dreamers like you and me bhai. You promised me that my directorial debut will be with you. Raaj Shaandilyaa wrote this and we were to produce this together. I need your belief, that faith you showed, that was my strength. Now, with you gone…I’m lost…but I promise you this my brother. Now tell me how do I fulfil this dream? Who will hold my hand like you did? Who will give me the power of SSR, my brother?”

The bitter truth about the “wokeness” surrounding mental health.

Depression is termed as a mood disorder that makes the person affected be constantly in a state of low mood with an aversion to activity. It is said to be a constant feeling of sadness. But is it though? I don’t think it so simple to term something that can eventually lead you to take your own life, or at the very least haut you with suicidal tendencies for the rest of your life. I think we all know where I am going with this, Sushant Singh Rajput. He surely was a brilliant actor, a profound intellectual and definitely a charming person overall. However, this isn’t one of those posts. I am not going to jump to either bandwagon be it that he wasn’t strong enough or that he was yet another victim. This isn’t simply a black and white issue, and for what it’s worth, there isn’t simply one culprit in this case.

Sushant was the very definition of someone who struggled against the real world to make it to the reel industry. But since he didn’t have much of a background or a godfather so to say, he was often relegated. That is all I am going to say on this topic, because unnecessarily bringing up his name seems a bit desecrating. Which brings me to the point out the despicable behavior of not just the media and the supposed “heavenly” B-town members but also the common people on social media. In an effort to seem much more emotionally matured and woke, every one gave their own eulogy to him constantly tagging him on social media. These people never once thought about what his family and loved ones would think when they saw a gazillion fake eulogies and crocodile tears, all the while they themselves aren’t ready to accept this death. I believe we as a society get a voyeuristic pleasure from doing all this. Some people based on tiktok and similar apps even devised click-baits surrounding this issue. As if this wasn’t enough, another trend that has risen is a supposed wokeness in terms of mental health, where people would post on social media that they are ready to listen and mend the depression of random strangers online, never considering the fact that they are the same people who unnecessarily troll and bully others. They say whether or not I know you I’ll help you out, even when they have never helped their family or friends. Its easy to assume that people can talk to random strangers or call helplines to prevent their depression. How can they do that when they aren’t even able to approach their friends or family. While the present generation at least acknowledges depression and suicidal tendencies of those suffering from it, a majority of the older generations feel that it isn’t something to worry about, that those who feel or do so are simply weak minded. Its not that easy to approach someone, when you yourself keep on doubting your self-worth. And the fact that people have taken the mantra of “I’ll help you just reach out” in order to increase their social standing and to seem hip in the present times doesn’t feel leave a good taste in anyone’s mouth. I do not think I even have to mention how despicable and self-serving Indian media is, which while being controlled by money-hungry media houses isn’t that surprising. For you need to be worse than the lowest scum to term someone’s suicide as a “hit-wicket”. For someone to take their own life, they definitely must have suffered when they had lived. However, by doing so we do not let the dead rest even in death.

This “wokeness” is definitely a nine days wonder, and soon this too will pass and we all will be back to our hateful and spiteful selves. Should something change in our way of living would certainly be a god blessed miracle

What to do at the time of depression!!!

If you’re depressed to feel a little bit better and I want to make sure you understand what those are but first I want to start by helping you understand what the typical signs and symptoms are:

1- One of the most common signs of depression is a feeling of sadness or irritability that is really pervasive and doesn’t seem to go away no matter what you do if you’re with friends if you’re by yourself the sadness just sort of becomes your reality irritability can also be present and this is much more typical in teens that they will present with more irritability than sadness when they’re dealing with depression.

2- Feeling really hopeless and this can be hopeless about getting better it can be a sense of hopelessness about the future and the ability of sort of achieving your hopes and dreams and again it’s a very tough symptom to deal with because other people can tell you, know you have so much to look forward to or this great thing is happening in your life but if you’re really struggling with depression that hopeless this just kind of takes over and keeps you stuck.

3- You should be aware of is something called anhedonia. This is really a fancy way of saying a loss of interest in things that you previously used to enjoy so for example you might really be into gardening and all of the sudden you find that no matter how many times you garden or if you try to garden there’s just not the same joy that you’re getting out of it that you used to or maybe you used to really be really social and enjoy spending time with your friends and you find that you just can’t bring yourself to get out of the house and to go and interact with these friends and it’s really difficult to deal with because it’s very hard to motivate yourself. When the things that really used to be what got you out of bed and got you ready for the day no longer hold the same enjoyment and pleasure.

4- Either decreased concentration and/or indecision the difficulty with making decisions and this can be really difficult when you have to function either in the workplace or you have a lot of responsibilities at home because you’ll find that it’s harder to complete the tasks that you need to complete and if you do need to make decisions there’s almost like this decision paralysis where you find that you just can’t get yourself to the place of making choices.

5- You should be aware of our changes in sleep and this can be either that you find yourself sleeping a lot more than you used to and having like a really hard time getting out of bed maybe you’ve never been a Napper and all of the sudden you’re taking a nap every day on the other side of the spectrum many people who are struggling with depression find that they can’t sleep that they’re racked with insomnia for the first time in their life and they’re laying in bed and their thoughts just keep running around and they’re feeling sad and they’re feeling hopeless and so either too much or too little sleep is a really cardinal sign of depression that you should be aware.

6- You should be aware of our changes in appetite or weight and this can be either in the positive or the negative depression sometimes when people are depressed they find that they use food for comfort and end up eating a lot more than typical and gaining weight and sometimes when people are depressed they lose their appetite completely and don’t eat at all and find that they lose weight so if you’ve had any significant weight changes within the last couple months and you also have some of the other signs and symptoms we’re talking about it might be a good idea to consider that there’s some level of depression going on that you’re struggling with so another.

7- Lastly sign of depression that we’re going to talk about today is a sense of worthlessness so and really this is very difficult for people to handle because it’s a sense that no matter what they do they’re not enough their life is not enough and it won’t ever be enough and this is such a difficult thing to be dealing with and so I think my overall message as you’re learning about these signs of depression is that if you’re experiencing these please reach out and make an appointment with a licensed professional to talk about this because this is something that can get better and you don’t need to struggle with it on your own if you think that you or someone you love might be struggling with depression please reach out and make an appointment with a licensed professional for an evaluation there are many therapeutic techniques that can help you or someone you love feel better and so I strongly encourage you not to hesitate to get the help that you need.
