VEGANISM

It is no surprise that our youth blindly follows the western culture. They mostly choose their lifestyle according to what is “in” and not according to what is right for them. However, there are certain things that are a blessing and one of them is adopting a Vegan diet. Veganism has been around for a very long time but has caught the eyes of the world only a few years ago.

Veganism is known to be as a supreme form of Vegetarianism. It is lifestyle choice where a person chooses to give up everything that is prepared as a result of animal cruelty and exploitation. Vegans boycott all the products that are tested on animals and/or extracted from animals in any way possible. For example: dairy products like cheese, leather clothing, all kinds of meats, etc. They believe in leading a plant based life.

HISTORY: The vegan society was founded in 1944 but its origin can be traced back 2000 years. Pythagoras, the sixth century Greek mathematician was against animal killing. In 1806, Percy Bysshe Shelley, a romantic poet, was one of the first people who publicly objected to the consumption of eggs and dairy products on moral grounds.

VEGETARIANS v/s VEGANS: These two terms are often interchanged but they differ in principle. Vegetarians do not eat meat but they do consume products like eggs, honey, leather, etc. They do not mind using animal based products but are opposed to animal killing. Vegans, on the other hand are opposed to animal killing, animal testing and using animal based products. They believe that large scale suffering of animals is caused during production of such goods and it is against their aim to stop animal cruelty. Some of the examples of such cruelty are: killing of old male hens because they don’t provide eggs, killing of male calves because they are expensive to raise, killing old cows when they don’t provide enough milk, and the list goes on.

Before adopting a lifestyle, we need to consider both sides of the coin. There are certain pros of being a vegan and some cons too.

PROS:

  • Saving animals from suffering and brutality is a major incentive to pursue this diet.
  • Vegan diet is full of nutrients and fibre.
  • Adopting the plant based lifestyle could help improve you health internally and provide the body with all the nutrients it requires to function properly.
  • This diet can reduce the risk of heart diseases.
  • It helps in keeping the cholesterol levels in check and also promotes weight loss.
  • It keeps your skin glowing and radiant.
  • It not only keeps your heart healthy but also improve kidney function.

CONS:

  • Excessive weight loss can cause health problems.
  • Vegan diet lacks certain essential nutrients like vitamin B-12 under-consumption of which could lead to a variety of health diseases including loss of bone and muscle mass.
  • Non vegetarian foods are a great source of protein and vegan diet might not deliver the adequate amount of protein required by the human body.
  • Many people might feel discomfort following a plant based lifestyle and it might not agree with their health in the long run.
  • Vegan foods are more expensive than regular foods. For example: buying soy milk would cost you a lot more than cow’s milk.

No matter how beneficial something is for you, you must always consider both sides of it. Adopting a vegan lifestyle just for the sake of activism could do irreversible damage to your body. Such decisions must be made considering all the aspects. Becoming a vegan just to follow a trend is not right. While some people might benefit from such diet, many would fail to receive all the nutrients required. Veganism does a lot of good for the environment but you must make choices that are right for you and your body and not the choices that would make you look like an activist while your body silently suffers.

The Heart of India – Madhya Pradesh

Surrounded by the Aravalli in the west , the river plains of Ganga and Yamuna r in the NORTH , the plains of Chhattisgarh in the East and the Deccan plateau in the SOUTH , lies MADHYA PRADESH in the central region of India forming the heart of the great nation.

The state has the second highest area per square kilometer after Rajasthan housing 52 districts where people from different religion and culture lives together in harmony. like the human heart which is considered to be precious for the whole well being , the heart of India – MADHYA PRADESH , is considered not only as the highest producer of coal but also has largest reserves of Coal and Copper. The state is blessed with the presence of five rivers namely Rivers Narmada, Tapti, Mahanadi , Chambal and Indravati.

With over 77,482 square kilometer of area under the green shade , the state has the largest forest cover in India which houses many animals, birds and provides employment to many people who are involved with forest conservation and agricultural as well as medical and textile industries. It is also known as the TIGER STATE OF INDIA and is on its way to gain the recognition as the LEOPARD STATE OF INDIA also since it houses nearly 528 tigers and over 3000 leopards the highest number of respective animals as compared to any other Indian state at present.

The mining industry as well as the forest and agricultural industries have resulted in increasing the employment opportunites as well as the annual contribution of the state to the net Gross Domestic Product Value.

Reasons to visit the heart of India

If you are an adventure junkie, an admirer of art forms, a nature lover , an animal lover, a foodie, a religious person or a person with a soft heart for history and grandeur or all of the above , the state will not disappoint you. It surely has something to offer to everyone who visits it. While the cities of Khajuraho , Ujjain and Maheshwar are regarded as the cities of temples with each city presenting the rich gloriousness of India’s past, Gwalior gives you a glimpse into the grandeur palaces whereas Pachmarhi , the only hill station in the state serves as an ultimate trekking destination with nature all around.

The foodie in you will find solace in every city specially those of Bhopal and Indore which provides the lip smacking cuisines. For all the art lovers out there, the state has a rich history of various art forms which are continuing for over 2000 years to the present with the support from government. The BHIL/PITHORA paintings, the MRABLE ART ,the CHARISMATIC CHANDERI SILK cloth items from the city of Chanderi , the MANDANA art among others are still in trend and gives a peek into the rich ancient heritage a part of which we had still managed to maintain.

Above is the picture of PAPER MACHE , the art form of Ujjain which brings the artefacts to life.

NATURAL THREATS POSED TO THE STATE DUE TO HUMAN INVASION

The presence of large abundance of natural resources has led to excessive mining which has resulted in the loss of forest cover thereby making many animals lose their home , soil erosion and has increased the air and water pollution. The Panna Tiger Reserve which houses the largest number of Tigers in the state had lost nearly all of its big cats between the year 2003 to 2008 owing to food poisoning , poaching and accidents. Though with the efforts of Hardworking forest officials and the government the number was restored , such situations can arise in the future also causing a threat to the national animal.

Other activities such as clearance of forest cover and illegal poaching if continued in the future may lead to the problems in the state causing the BLOCKAGE IN THE HEART OF INDIA thus affecting the entire nation in the aftermath.

As everything has its own pros and cons , so is with the state but despite everything it still remains a beauty to be seen , cherished and explored at least once in the lifetime.

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!

Live every day as if it were your last.” I believe in this quote because life is too short to procrastinate; do the things you want now because there might not be a tomorrow. I know it might be hard to live like this, but I’m sure if you asked a group of older people if they died tomorrow, are there still a lot of unfinished goals that are yet to accomplish, most of them would say yes, and wish they would have done these goals earlier in life.

you only live once so make the best of it

I try to live by this quote as much as possible. I like to take advantage of this short life by being spontaneous and willing to try new things. Holidays and vacations are almost always a good time, so I always make sure I’m with friends and family, and take as many vacations as possible. For example last spring break three of my buddies and I decided to take a road trip to Miami. We didn’t plan anything just started driving and what ever happened from there on we didn’t have a clue. This trip turned out to be one of the best times of my life and the best part was we didn’t know what was going to happen each day. Since the trip was a huge success my buddies and I made a pact to do the same thing every spring break for as long as we know each other.

you only live once but if you do it right once is enough

I want to accomplish all my goals in life by the age of thirty five. This might be hard but if I do I will be happy knowing if I die early I know I lived life to the fullest each day and didn’t hold anything back. I would rather live a fun and spontaneous forty years than live to ninety with just an average lifestyle. In my point of view I think everyone should live on the edge and take a few risks in life. Some people need to realize you don’t get a second chance at everything, so if you get a chance to do something just do it or you may regret it for the rest of your life.

I hope this quote helps people realize the things in life they should take advantage of. You may regret bad times in the past but those bad times are gone, and what you do next is up to you. There are too many obstacles in life to dodge, and no one is perfect so take advantage of this life that we are blessed with before it’s too late.

Sigmund Freud: II

Please ensure to read the Part I of my section on Freud.

3 Psychic Zones, Id, Ego, Super Ego. [Butter paper effect – Conscious Subconscious and Id (entirely unconscious),Ego, Super Ego (slightly conscious]) Reservoir – primes source of psychic energy, place where Libido exists, exists or function according to the pleasure principle, wants to fulfil its needs, characterised by great amount of vitality and energy, very amorphous zone, “Obscure inaudible past of our personality .. in accordance with the pleasure principle”. Needs and instincts to fulfil these needs, no morality/values/good/evil, nothing, source of aggression/desires/ deep rooted impulses, lawless, no social cues reckon by Id, function to gratify instincts without any implication of ones action, and if not kept under control and could be taken to any level, self destructive, satisfy for pleasure for the self, to gratify its instincts. Ego, a regulating agency; individual protective in certain way, a rational, governing agent of the psychic. All those needs may be released, in specific ways, the ego will control the id such that we don’t indulge in destructive ways, the untrained id is kept aside by ego governed by reality Principe; regulated by the Outer World. Super go – values like morality, notions of right and wrong, moral senses, reckons moral restriction and plays an important role in the drives and thrusting them back to the unconscious, and so you can’t be overly aggressive – a parental influence of mind and that good things would be rewarding and bad be punished, morality principles. Passes by phase of erotic development; phased passed erogenous zones, the oral the anal and the genital – not only just pleasure, but processes, eating – oral, elimination with anal and reproduction with genital. Pleasure and need quiet new with infant and children – Freud said it. Your gratification if frustrated, your development can be arrested, stuck/fixated unbalanced a phase, and fixation can manifest itself very significantly in your personality – Castration – Castration anxiety.

Dreams – recurring but sometimes what we commonly see – flying/falling(edge of a cliff)/drowning/running – being chased/ dead people coming back and taking to them that feels real – Freud talks about this entire world of dreams.

JOKES and their IMPACT

Hellooo guys!!,today’s topic is the joke ,don’t think I am pranking you guys, literally I am going to write about “JOKE”

SO starting todays article with a “joke” as the title says.

Whoever said nothing is impossible is a liar. I’ve been doing nothing for years.><

THE THOUGHT CLUB

What do you guys think when you hear this word “JOKE”

JOKE IS DIRECTED TOWARDS A PERSON,SUBJECT,OBJECT,SITUATION.

A joke is a display of humour in which words are used within a specific and well-defined narrative structure to make people laugh and is usually not meant to be taken seriously.

-Wikipedia

A JOKE CAN BE HUMOUR,PUN ,OR A TEASE

JOKES CAN BE SARCASTIC,SAVAGE,PUN,SENTIMENTAL.EVEN LIFE LESSONS CAN BE LEARNT THROUGH THEM.

Jokes present a funny situation ,but they also make us think about it, interesting isn’t it.

JOKES WHICH ARE MADE ON THE SPOT ARE EVEN MORE FUNNIER AS THEY RELATE TO THE SITUATION PRESENT THERE.

The punchlines are what jokes are mainly made up of the whole joe surround that particular line, whether it will be funny or not it depends on them.

We make jokes when we want to get out of awkward situation, or when teasing someone, or to criticize some one.

we make jokes so there can be a relaxed atmosphere, it binds people closer, jokes that bring a smile on your face, they can make your sad day a happy day.

Reading or listening to jokes can make one stress free, they bring out the joy that is hiding .Jokes make our mood lighter.

Jokes that we read mostly portrays our real life situation which makes them more funnier as we also realize that the the routine which is depicted there is very true and connects to many people.

There are many benefits of jokes,

Jokes make us laugh and in turn it triggers the endorphins which brings calmness to our nerves ,releases pain and makes us stress free.

But sometime jokes can hurt the others feeling too. We should not joke on somebody thoughtlessly cause its fun to you, we should consider the other person’s situation, and take their state of mind ,and relevance to the situation, their emotional status and your personal rapport with them into account so that the other person is not feeling uncomfortable and is actually willing to accept the jokes.

Making jokes without considering their privacy, and thoughtlessly intruding into their personal life cannot be considered as joke but an insult. You cannot make a joke out of every situation, there should be a certain time, environment and mood to be considered.

Jokes can not only sweeten the relationship between people often they can sour, and sever the bonds.

Jokes made without crossing the borders that is what we should aim for so that the other people can think they can confide their serious problems and ask for their solution optimistically as you would be a person who knows when to joke and when you shouldn’t.

And today’s joke of the day is I wrote an serious article on joke><. Thankyou^^

Sigmund Freud: I

Father of Psychoanalysis.

Civilisation, and the study of humanities associates lots of things with him, someone people keep talking about, amused by his theories, pass a lot of judgement, he’s a “crazy” man himself – belief. Freud can be or has been debunked now, his theories insightful, but not necessarily useful. The most influential western thinkers – timeline of publications 20th Century(?) – The clinical days when Lacan and Freud worked are important, both were medics. Human Nature/Sexuality/Dream/Children/Conflict/Desires – Freud Works his insights was controversial. Psychoanalytic’s a framework based on originated in Clinical Observation Freud made in his work. Freud often associated as an originator of these theoretical idea, he’s not the only Psychoanalysts [Jung and Freud didn’t see eye to eye on occasions & Lacan revisited Freud – reconceptualising aspects of theory.].

Psychoanalysis —  Method of treating mental disorder and mental illness; a treatment approach – treats mental disorder. The therapeutic aspects that help distressed people, to use psychoanalytic tool to try and make them feel better. Its a theory of human psyche – attempts to explain how human mind works. Psychoanalytic to interpret culture,  mass media and more, the understanding of psychoanalysis that people have offered is broad not just therapeutic but more. The potential the theory has to applicate in the cultural understanding of Psychoanalysis.

Freud came along and created ripples amongst people which made them squeamish – actions controlled by areas of human mind where we have limited or no control which control our actions; human mind as ice berg, what we see is just the tip, the wight, the bulk, density is what we aren’t aware of. Freud about the unconscious and human actions — people found in uncomfortable because people believed human beings as rational and cognisant to their choice, and thus man was different from other animals, but Freud, that most rational of people are controlled by their unconscious. [Infantile Sexuality]  We are obligated to assume the effects of the unconscious – way of affecting our behaviour/actions/what we say and conduct our selves making us assume the condition of our unconscious — you don’t know that when your behaviour/actions being impacted. Freudian Slip – Humour and the unconscious.

Expend the considerable amount pf energy – the material from the unconscious will appear in the conscious mind, no certainty — the preconscious and unconscious, the union; that domain that it may not change or if it does, great difficulty is followed. This is a premise that the idea that most of the individual mental process is unconscious; Carl Jung and Alfred Adler, did not agree with this premise, that all human behaviour is motivated by Sexuality – Libido; & all human behaviour is greatly motivated by this. There are social taboos created and attached with these sexual practices, and thus many of our desires are Repressed not allowed to take any form in conscious awareness.

Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT)

MQTT is a lightweight publish and subscribe system that allows clients to send and receive messages.

MQTT is a low-bandwidth messaging system developed for limited devices. As a result, it’s ideal for Internet of Things applications.

MQTT allows you to control outputs, read and publish data from sensor nodes, and send commands to control outputs. As a result, setting up communication across many devices is simple.

The server is in charge of responding to client requests for data to be received or sent between them. A broker is an MQTT server, while clients are just linked devices.

MQTT Components

  1. Subscribe and Publish
  2. Message
  3. Topic
  4. Broker
  1. Subscribe and Publish

A device can either publish a message on a topic or subscribe to a topic to receive messages in a publish and subscribe system.

For example,

Device_1 publishes on a certain topic.

Device_2 is subscribing to the same topic as Device_1 publishes.

As a result, the message is received by Device_2.

  1. Message

Messages are the information you wish to send and receive between your devices. It doesn’t matter if it’s a command or data.

For example, if we are publishing temperature data to the cloud, this data is referred to as a Message.

  1. Topic

Topics are how you indicate your interest in incoming messages or where you wish the message to be published.

Strings separated by a forward slash are used to denote topics. A topic level is indicated by each forward slash.

For Example,

  1. Broker

The broker is in charge of receiving all messages, screening them, determining who is interested in them, and finally publishing the message to all subscribers.

QoS – Quality of Service

With an integer number ranging from 0-2, each connection can indicate a level of service to the broker.

0 denotes at most once, or once and only once without needing an acknowledgment of delivery. This is known as the “fire and forget” strategy. When a sender sends a message, it doesn’t care if it’s delivered to the intended recipient or if it’s resent.

1 denotes at least once. The message is delivered several times until it receives an acknowledgment, which is known as acknowledged delivery. The Sender waits for the receiver’s acknowledgment after sending a message. It resends the message if it does not get an ACK. This option ensures that the message is delivered at least once, but it does not ensure that it is repeated.

2 denotes exactly once. A two-level handshake is used by the sender and receiver clients to ensure that only one copy of the message is received, which is known as ensured delivery.

Example of MQTT

Suppose, there is a device with a temperature sensor. And, it wants to send its readings to the broker. A phone/desktop application, on the other hand, want to get this temperature value. As a result, two things will occur:

  • The device specifies the topic on which it wishes to publish, for example, “temp.” The message “temperature value” is then published.
  • The “temp” topic is subscribed by the phone/desktop application. The device’s published message, which is the temperature reading, is then received.

The broker’s job is to transmit the message “temperature value” to the phone/desktop application.

Stop Imitating The Habits Of Successful People: It’s Killing You

Have you seen them? Articles and books that promise you the secrets to success? Save yourself some time and stop reading them. I’ll tell you why in a minute.

There are many kinds of those “success-articles.” The ones that suggest there’s a difference between winners and losers are my favorite.

Stuff like: “This behavior separates successful people from average people.” Or how about articles that list the habits of Millionaires or Billionaires? It’s so predictable.

Those types of articles and books are designed to give you a good feeling about yourself. “See! I have all the traits of successful people. I’m one of them!”

They always focus on the outcome. Not the process. Studying, learning, and stealing productive habits or tactics are all smart things to do. But that’s not what I’m talking about here. I talk about people who only focus on the outcome. I.e. success.

Also, everyone pretends that the word success has nothing to do with money and status. But that’s simply not true. When we talk about success, we all talk about getting rich. Just be honest.

Derek Sivers, the author of Anything You Want, said it best on the Tim Ferriss Show when he was asked about success:

“Notice how we all assume that when you say “become successful” you really mean “get rich”.”

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with getting rich. People can pursue anything they want.

But let’s keep it real and not pretend that “only you can determine the definition of success,” and then talk about the habits of millionaires.

Last week I was speaking to my mentor about this phenomenon. He never reads anything online. He likes newspapers and physical books. He’s not really into new technology.

Until a year ago, he still had a Nokia 6310i. You can only call, text, and play Snake II on those phones.

He literally bought 5 or 6 of them when he heard that Nokia discontinued that phone. He loves the battery life. Apparently, those things lasted forever on one charge.

Anyway, my mentor is an old school. And we were talking about how a lot of people love to dissect success. This is what he said:

“There’s a difference between studying success and actually building a business or career that matters. It’s the same as talent and hard work. I know a lot of talented people who never contributed anything to the world.

And I also know a lot of people without talent who did wonderful things in life. Knowing how to be successful will not guarantee success. I believe it’s the opposite. People who don’t assume they know everything often accomplish the most.”

I think that was such a great point he made. I must be honest. I’ve also tried to “study the habits of successful people” in the past. But I’ve never looked at it that way.

My mentor tried to make me aware that success doesn’t happen by imitating others. No matter how many habits of successful people you might have, it doesn’t mean anything.

Correlation doesn’t mean causation.

That’s the exact phrase he used. Reading articles and books that talk about success is a waste of time because they are not teaching you anything useful.

Worse, they can cause tunnel vision. You might pursue things that lead you in the wrong direction. (more on that later)

For instance, take waking up early. That’s always part of the lists of habits. But waking up is not a skill that does something. When you try to imitate a rich person who wakes up early, will you become rich by waking up early?

That’s why I find it odd that people try to imitate successful people. What’s the point? Even if you know the EXACT ingredients of success, it’s no good to you.

Richard Branson is one of the most well-known people in the world, and many believe he’s the most successful entrepreneur there is.

He’s written books and articles. He’s also been interviewed, analyzed, and researched to death. We know all about Branson’s habits and mindset.

I wonder: If we’re all trying to imitate him, why are there not more world-famous entrepreneurs? Exactly. It’s not that simple.

I get why we study successful people. We all want the outcome but no one wants to put in the work themselves.

I don’t read articles about success. I don’t care whether someone is only talking the talk or has backed it up with results. You just can’t promise someone’s success if they do XYZ. But that’s not the most important reason I don’t care about imitating success.

There’s beauty in the struggle.

If you blindly try to imitate others, you kill your character. Ralph Waldo Emerson put it best:

“Envy is ignorance, imitation is suicide.”

Be yourself. It’s the biggest cliché in the book of an amateur philosopher. “Imitation is death” sounds better than the lame old “just be yourself.” And it means the same.

But let’s pretend for a second that someone can provide you with an exact roadmap to success. Would you still imitate it? Or would you rather pave your own path?

Because why even care about the outcome? Life is not about success, no matter how you define it. Life is about the struggle of figuring things out. The very thing that many of us run away from.

One of my favorite musicians, J. Cole, wrote a song called “Love Yourz” about this concept. He says:

“There’s beauty in the struggle. Ugliness in the success.”

Think about it. What if you get to a destination to find out that you arrived at the wrong place?

That’s what imitation does.

Be bigger than that.

Always create your own path—no matter how hard it is. And you better love it too. Because that’s the only right path there is.

Psychoanalysis, and everything in between.

Why and what infatuates someone with the subject of psychology and its importance and acceptance to human existence.

What was it that got me curious about the idea of psychoanalysis, is the part where you tap into someone’s psyche  or at least lear about the process and what could it unravel. The idea of psychopathology and beyond what society perceives psycho therapy lies an abundance of resources one must always find a way to study or understand that. The notion of psychoanalysis needs to adapted as a common practice, too, since it gives everyone a more peacefully aware and woke outlook towards life and people they engage with.

The generation now is pretty invested in Psychology, just based on the prejudices they have over the subject, their prejudice seemingly creates a very systemic fascination and it helps in understanding a group or an individual alike.

But beyond this is works in clinical psychology or behavioural psychology that has interested scholars and led many thesis work.

But why is such curiosity in people to take on this subject? Is it to better understand your s/o, that seems almost like a common consensus, but is it that people feel allured to analyse someone? Mostly to justify their actions, no matter how absurd, such analysis help cover their wrongs, to help them get better, perhaps. The motif seems sufficient but we aren’t here to cure everyone, we are to push them, or to give them impetus toward a direction that would help them for a better way forward, and that’s what Psychoanalysis is, it is a way — a scientific way — to have a better action plan, call it therapy, but the stigma around that word has created a wave that has saddened people, but we in lieu of respecting psychoanalysis and all that it entail, we need to create a purer atmosphere for us, our peers and one way to do so it having a open approach to this field of study.

Freud, Lacan and many more enable us with tools to understand a fraction of this field but make no mistake that the field is broader and intense and relieving if we take up the patience and understanding of it.

TOXIC BODY POSITIVITY

What is body positivity?
Body positivity refers to the assertion that all people deserve to have a positive body image, regardless of how society and popular culture view ideal shape, size and appearance.
Some of the goals of body positivity include:

  • challenging how society views the body
  • Promoting the acceptance of all bodies
  • Helping people build confidence and acceptance of their bodies
  • Addressing unrealistic body standards
In today’s day and time, people promote body positivity all over social media.
But, the only chess or positivity in social media is known as “toxic positivity”.
    What is toxic positivity?
Toxic positivity refers to the idea of focusing only on the positive aspects of life while rejecting or dismissing negative emotions, which are a part of our human nature.
Social media and the body positivity Movement can put some pressure on people by telling them that we should feel good about their bodies all the time regardless of their state of health. We should learn to love ourselves at our own pace, and not be empowered by something we see on social media. It is valid to not feel great about ourselves and be uncomfortable or unsatisfied. Even though a person has a lot of confidence and high self-esteem, it’s completely okay for them to go back as a whole.
Going back to the term “body positivity” this movement is based on the fact that all bodies are beautiful. But, If a body is obese or svelte- it has a direct relation to the lifestyle that person leads. Those who support this movement say that a body must be accepted regardless of its condition. Something such as race and height of a person cannot be changed, so in that terms, we must love and accept who we are. But, why should we accept q body type that may not be healthy? Why not change something that can be changed?
Being obese or losing weight recklessly is not right nor healthy, or think that just because you are slim you are automatically healthy. Because of social pressure, men and women suffer from body distortion. While women suffer from anorexia, men suffer from bigorexia (it makes the person look weak, while they aspire to have a perfect, strong and muscular physique) body positivity must have worked wonders for some men and women, but it isn’t for everyone. When obesity coexists, it’s not as simple as “learning to embrace your body” but it is rather learning to love the process. You can learn to love yourself while seeking some change for the sake of your health.
Because of the social pressure and the unrealistic standards of a body, many people feel discontent about their selves with directly affects a person’s mental health and physical health.
Diseases such as anorexia, bulimia, morbid obesity, anxiety among others are clear example. Thus, strong messages and movements are overall positive for a collective purpose, but it is important to create awareness about how it is important to seek professional help for a particular case. Every person has a different story and different struggles to overcome.

BOOK REVIEW

THE THREE MISTAKES OF MY LIFE : WRITTEN BY CHETAN BHAGAT

In late 2000, a young boy in Ahmedabad called Govind dreamt of having a business. To accommodate his friends Ish and Omi’s passion, they open a cricket shop. Govind wants to make money and thinks big. Ish is all about nurturing Ali, the batsman with a rare gift. Omi knows his limited capabilities and just wants to be with his friends. However, nothing comes easy in a turbulent city. The 3 Mistakes of My Life is a book from Chetan Bhagat, a well-known author, and writer. The story lines based on love, historical disasters, religion, friendship, cricket, excitement, business, and humor. In other words, the book shows the picture of the real life of a common Indian and elaborate Indian mentality. He has presented the facts, neutrally narrated a story. It’s the story about three friends Omi, Govind, and Ish. The story is presented through Govind’s eyes and it’s his three mistakes of life. Govind is a true Gujarati, interested in coming up on his own in life, through business. Ish is an avid cricket player whose passion lies in playing, teaching, and watching cricket. Omi is a priest’s son who doesn’t have any ambition and moves along with his two friends. These simple people’s journey in life, how their lives get affected by the worst disasters in Gujarat’s history is portrayed in a simple yet efficient way. This book also teaches you how your dreams crash into pieces by unexpected events but how with support from people around you, you get back on track, focus and rebuilt your dreams.

This novel especially comes when people only want to come up with excuses to show or feel how different they are rather than see the common aspects and bring oneness, which can keep us together and achieve our common goal of growth, peace and prosperity. The language is simple, it connects well with India’s youth, the narration has improved, all in all, Chetan has improved in all the departments of writing a book. He has again proved that to be the best novelist, you don’t need fabulous vocabulary, or you don’t need awesome critics review, all you need is a threat to connect to people’s minds. Truly his best book ever

How to use the phone as a webcam for your PC

Most of people facing problems while hosting and interviews times ,our laptops and PC doesn’t have good quality of video

Then , is there any way to optimise for good quality of video . yes there is a way for that problem

In these day every one have mobile phones , by those mobile phone we can as a webcam

Are you thinking I am joking , then just follow my instruction you will be find my word are no joke..

I have research many application but ,I  recommended an application Droidcam  that can be download by our favourite  app stores

Now  you connect your PC or a Laptop over the same Wi-Fi network or with the help of a USB cable. If you downloaded the DroidCam app on your phone from the app store, then download the DroidCam Client on your Windows laptop or PC

There are two ways :

The commercial launch of anti-COVID 2DG drug by Dr. Reddy

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories on Monday announced the commercial launch of anti-Covid drug 2DG, developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)

It was earlier said on June 1 that the anti-Covid drug is approved for emergency use as an adjunct therapy to the standard of care in the treatment of coronavirus patients in hospital settings.
“Ideally, 2DG should be prescribed as early as possible by doctors for moderate to severe COVID infected patients for a maximum duration of up to 10 days,” it said.

The DRDO further said that uncontrolled diabetes, severe cardiac problem, ARDS, severe hepatic and renal impairment patients have not been studied yet with 2DG, and hence caution should be exercised.

“The 2DG should not be given to pregnant and lactating women and patients below 18 years,” it added.

The first batch of DRDO’s anti-Covid-19 drug was released on May 17 by Union defence minister Rajnath Singh and health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, after the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) permitted the emergency use authorisation of 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG), anti-viral drug as an adjunct therapy for moderate to severe coronavirus.
The 2DG drug comes in powder form in the sachet, which is taken orally by dissolving it in water. It accumulates in the virus-infected cells and prevents virus growth by stopping viral synthesis and energy production. Its selective accumulation in virally infected cells makes this drug unique. The drug reportedly reduces a patient’s average recovery time by two and a half days and oxygen demand by up to 40 per cent, the Union health ministry had said.

Role of family in the social construction of gender

Gender in contrast to sex is a social construct. It is an established set of characteristics of society according to which people are categorized into males or females. Gender roles vary from society to society. There are many agencies present in society that facilitate the social construction of gender. Family is one such agency.

In this article, I will try to show the various processes through which gender identity is established in children by their families.

As a child grows the gender identity is established through four processes namely:

  1. Reinforcement or moulding-Parents at home treat their children differently depending on their sex. Boys are normally given more freedom than girls while girls are treated more protectively. Any ‘effeminate’ behaviour on the part of the boy is highly discouraged and if such tendencies continue they are regarded as ‘psychological disturbances.’As a result of this training, children learn their sex roles effectively and quickly.
  2. Opportunities-Opportunities go a long way in determining gender roles. While boys are encouraged to take up technical jobs girls are discouraged . Girls are encouraged to go along the ‘the feminine way’ and boys are expected to develop themselves along ‘the masculine way’.Boys are given cars, building blocks etc to play with while girls are given kitchen set, dolls to play with. The boys are expected to help their fathers and girls are expected to help their mothers.
  3. Role modelling-It is a major mechanism of gender socialisation. By the age of three, nearly all children know whether they are male or female and by the age of four, they have very definite ideas of what masculinity and femininity must involve. A male child usually identifies with his father and a female child with her mother. The boys considering their father as a role model emulates them and the same is the case with girls who look up to their mothers. Role modelling is more effective when the child has a strong and warm relationship with the role model.
  4.  Explicit verbal instruction-Certain instructions also determine gender identity.” Boys don’t cry like girls”,” Pink is the colour of girls”,” You are a girl you should know how to cook” etc are some very common instructions. Hearing the same everywhere and on daily basis influences the mind of an individual and determines the gender identity.

Hence, families give the earliest reinforcement for acting appropriately according to one’s gender, and the environment continues to teach what is acceptable for men and women.

Meditation: Positive Psychology

Meditation is the practice of thinking deeply in silence, in order to make the mind calm. Through regular mediation, levels of stress can be reduced as well as managed. Meditation is a relaxation technique like yoga and deep breathing that activates the body’s relaxation response. When meditation is practiced regularly, it leads to decrease in our stress levels in everyday life. Meditation gives a boost in our feelings of happiness and calmness. It increases our ability to stay cool, calm and composed under pressure.

Meditation begins by heating the activities of the brain for some time and going into a state of stillness or silence. In today’s time, when one’s life is affected be immense stress due to pressure emanating from excessive materialism, professional success, social acceptance, etc, meditation comes as a heavenly refuge. A major benefit of effective meditation is a reduction of anxiety and effects of depression.

Thousands of years ago, a wandering Nepalese prince sat under a tree, vowing not to rise until he attained enlightenment. After a long night of deep meditation, Siddhartha Gautama, better known as the Buddha, saw the light and declared that suffering is subjective and can be reduced through self-awareness. This was laid the foundation of meditation as as successful technique for reducing suffering.

Many studies have shown that meditation not only has mental but profound physiological effects on the body. Thus, to achieve peace of mind, meditation is an exercise not to be missed. It should ideally be followed daily and be supported by a healthy lifestyle and a healthy diet. Only 15-30 minutes of his daily can have a magical effect on one’s life

Effective meditation is free from any kind of other distraction. Research has shown that meditation has benefits on mental health, including decrease in depression, increase in positive emotional state and increases in the ability to deal with unavoidable stressful conditions in life. Meditation not only involves relaxation but also the active growth of positive mental states such as affection, kindness, sympathy, tolerance and energy.

The benefits of meditation are many. Meditation also helps in increasing creative levels of mind. While practicing meditation, our heart rate and breathing slows down, blood pressure becomes normal, sweating becomes less and oxygen can be used more efficiently. Moreover, our immune system functions well. In short, meditation is magnificent and effective in temporary stress reduction and long-term health. A clear and peaceful state of mind can be achieved through this practice. Meditation increases positive thinking, attention levels and awareness to reduce stress. Thus, meditation should be suggested as a treatment for the prevention of many stress-related conditions.

Meditation alters the chemistry of the brain and increases positive emotions. Statistics have shown that meditation has improved lifestyles of people suffering from stress-related conditions. People living in a big city suffering from continuous pain, hypertension, anxiety and depression can be trained to do meditation. Positive effects can be seen soon among them.

To conclude, meditation should be recommended to patients suffering from conditions caused by stress. Doctors and scientists are working to observe the effects of meditation practiced by people who are undergoing stressful situations. It should be noted that many prestigious Universities such as Harvard have made their best efforts in carrying out their researches on meditation and without a doubt, the results are positive. Meditation is an important tool to cope up with stress-related situations. Moreover, through meditation, one can turn to the internal peace to calm down the discomforts caused by stressful experiences of life.
