Cyber Bullying in India

Cyber bullying is a state when a person is threaten, harassed and is humiliated via mobile phone or Internet by a person or else by a group of persons. Cyber bullying can be considered equally offensive and harmful as bullying in real world is. In this modern era using social media account is very common which each one of us do and these accounts helps us to post pictures, data or anything a person wish to but these are often misleading by these bullies. Cyber bullying can be in the form of targeting of social media publically or by sending hurtful and   inappropriate messages. Cyber bullying can be considered as an extremely dangerous one because it allows the bullies to embarrass and harass any person at any time via any gadget and platform. Now a days everyone is quite familiar with social media networking be it a child, an adult or a senior-citizen and thus it becomes somewhat easier to be the victim or the suspect of such prejudice. It was found in a study that “1 in 3 high school students have been subjected to some form of bullying or cyber bullying.”

In the India Penal Code and the Information Technology Act suggest cyber bullying as an extremely serious offence which results in adequate punishment. This term was introduced by Bill Belsey who was a Canadian educator. Cyber bullying is that state of position where one can use information technology or communication technology to torture or harm the other person. Cyber bullying often results in victim getting into a brutal situation or every so often in a depressed state of mind. The basic motive behind this crime is to hurt a person; it can be a known or an unknown person too. In the case of bullying the suspect could be a powerfully person whether economically or socially than the victim. As per the report of the survey it was found that 63% of the children under the age of 18 are victim of cyber bullying. These bullying are of different types which involves mistreating blogs, private pictures, abusing a person via chat section and sending junk mails. Other than this, revealing personal data, pictures, harassing someone in groups or publically or stealing passwords as well as forcing someone else to bully the victim is also a kind of bullying. Cyber bullying can either be very simple one where the suspect do so using mails, messages, etc. but other than this bullying can also be in a vigorous form as sometimes the suspect starts to gang up against the victim and threats also gives sexual comments, spreads rumors, etc.

Cyber bullying is that wound that effects the person wholly and solely for lifetime. Ignoring or overcoming such bullies is not a permanent solution for it. At Indian Penal Code of 1860 in 2013, these stalking are considered as a great criminal offense. According to section 354C of IPC if any person who is caught bullying a female or taking of her private pictures or watch her when she is at her privacy than that person shall be penalized with sentence of one to three year in prison and also have to charge some fine.

Conclusion

Cyber bullying is a great offence and is also punishable in India. We people have the tendency to avoid things which later results as a devastating one. Cyber bulling also come under such category which can take an ugly shape with the course of time. As every second child is a victim of such cyber bullying there should be more laws and measures regarding it. These laws should be made keeping in mind the psychological state of the victim too. Smalls ignorance leads to heart-rending situations and stopping such bullying is crucial at this point of time otherwise these bullies could be left open and the only suffers will be the victim.

The Increasing Divorce Rate in India

In every relation there are some degree of conflicts involve which is very common in the stressful situation. Maximum couple faced a lot of split up after arrival of Covid-19 related to financial matters. The initial lockdown period started with all sort of creative things but with the passage of time it grown with increasing conflicts and misunderstanding between the couples. Covid-19 and lockdown had brought a massive disaster all over the world and had sown the seeds of increasing divorce rate worldwide. Divorce is always subjected as a taboo in our country where all the litigation and bulky process of inquiry is undesirable and this is the reason people usually avoid getting divorced in India.

It’s a sad reality that we human being had a tendency of adjusting and compromising with the situation and this are the foundation of maximum of Indian marriages. As the global outburst occurred it had directly affected on the personal space of the couple by shrinking them inside four walls of the house. In such adverse circumstances acceptance and compromising things becomes much more complicated. We all known that spending time together as well as  taking breaks make things sorted and better but due to this lockdown the burden of work increased for the working partner resulting in increasing fights and conflicts which ultimately ends up in split up of the couples. Females are the backbone of any family who are always found in the receiving end of the all the troubles faced by the family. With the arrival of lockdown period the financial, mental as well as health problems raised a lot being in stuck in such pathetic situation ultimately ends up with increasing bitterness among the family and gradually this bitterness finally leads to divorce of the couple. The increasing divorce rate in India is the clear indication of the growing strained relations. In a famous lawyer platform it was found that after the arrival of this lockdown period they got six to ten calls each day regarding divorce and 20% of divorce cases are increased as per records. But before the arrival of this outbreak of corona there were other factors too which are the root cause of divorce between the couples. They are:

  • Absence of Commitment
  • Increasing Argument between the Family
  • Marriage at Young Age
  • Lack of Equality
  • Increasing Abuse and Agony

Love is something very pure but also dynamic in nature and because of increasing fights and misunderstanding people decides to end up the relation by giving divorce. Commitment and trust plus respect are the base of any relationship. Abuse and violence are the major reason of ending up of a relationship. Many a time the reason of getting divorce is addiction which is in the form of alcohol, drugs, gambling and even pornography. In some cases these obsession are maintained and the marriage can be repaired but in most of the cases the outcome is negative only. India is a country for love thus we all should learn to spread positivity and managing our relationships.

Why Dating a Single Mom is not Acceptable in India?

At some point in life we all have heard the dating phrase “it’s not you, it’s me”, but in case of a single mother they are usually left out with a heartbreak and the saying change as “it’s not you, it’s your child”. Our restrictive culture portrays that a second chance is not meant for a single mom. Our patriarchal society demonstrates that if a person is dating a single mother then he is doing a great offense but we never try to image the scrutiny of society she has to tackle. Society pictures that dating a single mother is impossible and in case it is possible it is not accepted.

Life of women is very difficult weather it’s her life before marriage or after marriage. Many women face a lot of harassment plus mental as well as sexual abuse after their marriage which ultimately results in split-up of the couple. Our patriarchal society is so cruel that getting divorce is acceptable but dating a single mom is not tolerable. If a married women who have child practice dating then she is always asked to put the child interest as the first preference. The reason behind single mom refuse to date is the social stigma they have to face. Whatever is the situation the one who is always considered in the faulty side is the women only and the amount of social scrutiny she have to face is numerous. Dating of a mom is not acceptable in India and is considered as a massive ill but taking dowry is referred as a ritual and this is the bitter reality. People often criticize others situation but the trauma one suffers is inexpressible. Dating a mother is like a shame and thus women ultimately decides to either quit the relationship or simply never approaching. If a woman is having a child it is just well-thought-out as a liability or we can simply say a burden which is in the form of joint custody of the child, all the expenses of the child which includes their schooling, tuition and all extra expenses. A divorced woman is always subjected to gossips and if she is an independent mother then definitely she has to tolerate a lot of humiliations and blabbermouths. A counselor from Mumbai, Mr. Narendra Kinger expresses his view that men feels extremely threatened as women’s give their first preference to their child. Every person needs a support in their life and same goes in case of single mom too as even they need companion in their life but keeping the child at the forefront is mandatory for women.

A single woman who has a child usually encounters a lot of difficulties and barrier in her mundane dating life. We all are living at a free democratic country where we have the right to go with our own will then why a mother is always subjected with questionable eyes if she is dating? Only we can change our society by changing our outdated thinking plus we have to modify our patriarchal society to a society which treats everyone equally.

Ozone Layer Depletion and Global Warming

Global Warming is one of the major problems in the current time. We all think that the root cause of global warming is Ozone layer but it’s not true but root cause for both these problem are same i.e., the mundane activities done by we human being that ultimately pollutes the atmosphere. Global warming reason is the excess release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere by burning the coal, oil and natural gases to produce electricity and to run our automobiles. In this modern time people have a notion that everything should be done instantly in more simpler words we can say that we fails to have patience and want works to be done as soon as possible and for this we use cars, bikes and scooters which ultimately deplete the environment. Earlier, the basic means of transportation was walking and riding in bicycle which not only kept the environment safe but also the health of human beings.

Most recently, carbon is prolonged all around the planets in the form of a blanket and carbon plays the foremost role in absorption of ultraviolet radiation which consists of the bulk of solar system. The depletion of ozone layer take place when chlorofluorocarbon (CFCs)  and halons gases which are formerly found in aerosol spray cans  as well as refrigerants are ultimately released in the atmosphere. The upper layer atmosphere in the ozone absorbs ultraviolet radiation which is harmful for every being. CFC’s plus halons forms a reaction that ultimately breakdowns the ozone molecules and reducing ozone’s ultraviolet radiation absorbing capacity. In the upper atmosphere or the stratosphere a hole is formed which gradually deplete the ozone layer. This hole is known as the “ozone hole”, the ozone hole is damaged by solar radiation which is reaching the Earth’s surface and is eventually affecting the life of every single being living in the atmosphere. This damage in Earth’s surface is resulting by causing eye problem as well as skin cancer to people. Since the time of 1960’s the global warming of the lower level of atmosphere is rapidly increasing and is also causing cooling of the upper part of the atmosphere. This warming and cooling is causing ozone loss. As greenhouse gases are increasing massively it is causing heat in the lower atmosphere whereas cooling in the upper atmosphere. This rapid change in the atmosphere is the root cause of all the problems. All these carbon dioxide and other heat gases is rising the atmosphere and is spreading all around the atmosphere like a blanket. All these harmful gases are making the blanket thicker. This thick blanket warms the surface of the Earth and gradually traps more heat in the lower part. This blanket causes heat in lower atmosphere and slowly but surely cooling the stratosphere. All these heat trapping gases are cooling the atmosphere that finally results in ozone depletion. The greenhouse gases works as absorbing the heat and is ultimately warming the surface but they reacts opposite as they prevent heat from rising. The ozone depletion affects the most in the South Pole.

Say No To Dowry Death

Dowry death is a major problem faced by the women in our country. It is a death of married women by her husband or her in law families because of the extortion of gifts. It refers to death of women with the cause of burn or any injury in the body within seven years of marriage and before her death she is subjected to lot of harassment and merciless acts by her spouse or her family members. The report suggest that every day twenty women die due to the harassment they face because of dowry death it may be either murder or are forced to commit suicide. It’s a phenomenon which indicates the death of a young married woman due to dowry after facing all the harassment and abuse. Since 1980s such ill activities are followed. The first case came into the eye of media where a young brides being burned to death.

In the women movement during the time of post-independence the key issue was the ‘bride burning’. Marital violence is a ‘cultural crime’ which is practiced in India. During the time of marriage a ritual is followed where gifts in the form of property, cash and goods are offered from the bride’s side to the bridegroom and his family, such ill practices are followed with the name of custom and is called dowry. The practice of such ill activities is now followed by almost every community and caste. The occurrence of such custom is just because of our patriarchal society that prefers men much more superior than women. Boys are given the prevailage of rate card which is an unofficial price the male members of the society are worth. This worth is measured by the dowry provided to them on their marriage. We say that we all are equal but at many places strong inequality is followed where the bride’s family is constantly pressured to full fill all the demands of the groom’s family and in return they accept their daughter. The dowry system is deeply connected to our Indian Culture and thus remains satisfactory and unchangeable in the society. We all know that dowry taking is a crime but we ignore this fact and as a result dowry death occurs. Even educated people practice such ill customs because we are afraid to go against and challenge our society and its traditions. The result of our custom and tradition is dowry death which has till now taken many lives. In this ill tradition members of the groom side have given much advantage and are considered superior. In case the women and her family is unable to full fill the desires and needs of the groom then the bride is tortured and harassed.

Dowry death is the bitter realities which every next upcoming bride is afraid off and due to this customs daughter are considered inferior than man and a burden for whole family. As a result, families store the wealth rather than investing it on the daughter’s education or they certainly kill the baby inside the mother’s womb. Dowry death is a great offence and there should be strict rules plus regulation for it. The one who practice such ill acts in the name of tradition shall be given strict punishment.

Is Indian Women Safe?

India is a country which serves liberty and sovereignty too all. We say that we are free and have the freedom to do anything whatever we wish, the only thing which we should keep on our mind is the purpose and result should be welfare of all or self. In August 15th, 1947 we became citizen of free democratic as well as a republic nation. But the question which arises is “are we completely free?” “The word freedom is meant for females too or it was served only for the male members of our country?” Indian women are the one who are always consider inferior than man and are supposed to be inside the house with getting indulge in all household works. Women are still questioned when they work overnight. It may be a private place or a public one, whether its home or office, the one who is certainly humiliated as well as misbehaved is the women. Report suggests that India is the most dangerous place for women across the world.

Killing the infant in the mother’s womb to surviving a motionless life after the acid attack, the only person suffers is the women of our society. It can be a rape, gang rape, acid attack, female foeticide, dowry death, abandonment, mob lynching, and harassing mentally or physically, these all problems are tolerated by the single women. And after all these suffering our patriarchal society think they are weak and are meant to be under the foot of men. The crime that happened at Delhi on 16th December, 2012 where a brave girl Nirbhaya was brutally raped. This incident left everyone stunned and traumatized that how such vicious act could be done by a human beings like us. Laxmi Agarwal, she was fighter and a winner but who can forget that how mercilessly she became the victim of acid attack just because she refused the proposal of a man. Acid attacks are still continuing. Irom Sharmila a victim of acid attack is eating through her nose so that she could stay alive. And yet we celebrate Independence Day, are we free in the true sense? And how free the Constitution makes the women? We think that being women is too easy but this is not true if you are Indian women because here in our secular country in every 20minutes a female is raped. In the same year when Nirbhaya was raped the NCRB report suggest that in that year more than 68 girls are raped each day. The number of rape cases as well as other crimes are rapidly increasing and after all these we talk about women empowerment and equality.

Justice should be served to all whether she is a female or male. Not all people are same but maximum have a cruel heart. Effective steps are needed to be taken to stop such merciless offense. Our government should make strict laws and regulation. If such crimes are done then immediate and strict action need to be taken so that the fear is always there in the mind of the people. It’s high time and we need to take strict steps regarding such rising problems otherwise the situation will become worse in the upcoming generation.

Ratha Yatra

Jagannath temple is one of its own kinds where the divinities get involved in human affairs. The deities are deemed to reside in human form. So, the god has to follow the natural laws applicable to living beings. He bears the suffering like his subjects and has his own share of joy and pain. So after the ceremonial bath with 108 pots of water on eve of Snana Purnima; the lords fall sick and get isolated in “Anasar gruha” for 15 days. The priests take care of them as we take care of sick persons. They are well treated with medicinal herbs. The temple doors remain closed for the devotees. The series idols are made of wood, so in this time, the wooden idols are re-painted and cleaned properly. And once the doors open, the festival of Rathayatra begins in full form.

Ratha Yatra is an annual festival in Jagannath temple when Lord Jagannath along with his siblings visit Gundicha temple getting on their huge chariots. The first day of Ratha Yatra is  called Pahandi Bije when the lords come out of their sanctum, decorated with huge flower adorned tahiyas and carried on to their respective chariot. The journey of the deities to the world outside, starts with a spectacular royal procession called Pahandi Bije. This Pahandi procession of the deities is in a row and is known as ‘Dhadi Pahandi’ or a group movement. In Dhadi Pahandi procession the deities take rest whenever required during the journey to their respective chariots. All the deities move simultaneously one after the other in close succession. First lord Sudarshan, then Balabhadra, the Subhadra and lastly lord Jagannath are taken out from the inner sanctum. At the seven – stairs northern exit from the dancing hall, the three deities assemble and receive giant floral crowns, called Tahias. Then the deities are literally pulled, pushed and dragged in rhythmic movement with the accompaniment of the beat of cymbals, drums, and chanting of their names in chorus by devotees. Lord Sudarshan and Subhadra are carried on the shoulders but Balabhadra and Jagannath are carried all the way with little pauses in forward and backward motions. Every year during Ratha Yatra, Lord Jagannath visits queen Gundicha temple with his siblings to keep a promise that he made to the queen. It is believed that the mythological king Indradyumma and his queen Gundicha sacrificed a lot in the making of Jagannath temple. When Lord Jagannath first appeared in Puri temple, he asked the king to make a wish and generous king told that he never wants his successors to claim their authority on Jagannath temple. But deep inside Lord Jagannath could sense the motherly feeling of queen Gundicha and promised her that he along with his siblings will pay a visit to her temple once a year so that she never gets to feel childless. It is believed that Gundicha temple is the birthplace of the Lord’s and Queen Gundicha was the first to open the doors and witness the divine wooden incarnation of Lord Krishna. This is the reason why first day of Ratha Yatra is also known as “Shri Gundicha” and every year Lord Jagannath offers ‘Pinda Shraddha’ to Indradyumma and Gundicha during Dena deepabali considering himself as their child.

During the nine days long festival to Ratha Yatra, lord Jagannath along with his siblings while visiting to Gundicha temple meet his devotees leaving behind his beloved wife Maha Laxmi in Shrimandir. Jagannath temple is the only temple where the god dies all these humanly affairs like going on a trip with his siblings and planning not to involve his wife in this.

COVID-19 and the Suffering of the Poor People

Till date COVID-19 is one of the most dangerous viruses that have taken crore lives or even we can say more. The pandemic of COVID-19 is till day come in the list of most hazardous problems faced by us. Crores of people lost there loved once and the only thing left was the family which was completely shattered after this outbreak. It was found that the crisis that the people suffered after the arrival of corona virus is like no other virus faced since recent decades. Also, from the beginning till today no such pandemic had hit the social and economic structure as hard as this virus did.

According to the survey around forty nine million people lifestyle changed and ultimately resulted in extreme poverty. The countries which are already poor have fallen much more but the countries which were counted in the list of middle income are also suffering. For the poor of India the life have been much difficult and survival too. Survive and living a normal life during such outbreak is really a difficult one. India is itself a poor country and the arrival of this pandemic has pushed it more economically. People struggled to survive in the initial face of lockdown and many people are still surviving and a fighting a battle against such great pandemic. The real problem was the battle was not only against the problem of surviving but also inequality in various places like healthcare provided to the patients and the education sector too. The economic crisis faced by the poor section of the society triggered them a lot as it rise the level of income inequality. This virus was itself considered as a virus which gave birth to inequality and this inequality increased rapidly with the passage of time as the rich became richer where as on the other end of the spectrum the poor became more inferior. In a report it was found that the top billionaire’s of India become richer and this percent increased to 35% where as millions of people lost their bread for the day. The report suggests that around 1.70 people lost their jobs in every hour in the month of April, 2020. Maximum people who lost there jobs were from the informal sector and there fight in not ended. These people are still fighting and struggling.

Only we all can end up this poverty gap which can be done from the combination of domestic as well as international resources. No technological or else financial reason could be find till now which can accept the reversals of worldwide poverty. This destruction is due to lack of proper party-political will as well as worldwide leadership on the issue of poverty.  The poverty has increased by one hundred forty four million in 2020. Thus, we can sum up that arrival of such hazardous virus has shattered the whole world but the one who suffered the most and are still suffering is the poor and our government should take affective steps regarding reduction of this poverty.

Humanism of R.N.Tagore Discovering Our Own Divinity

Tagore‘s religious verse as given in the Gitanjali gained in the wake of award of the Nobel Prize had let people believe that he is a writer of spirituality and mysticism. Tagore‘s humanism is connected with his spiritualism. His spiritualism does not make him reluctant of the world and man, but brings him nearest to the man and something above God too. According to Tagore, spiritual life is a human affair and salvation is not through renunciation but through love, beauty, and service.

Salvation through love:

Tagore believe that man can get God only when he is in love as love is the ultimate meaning of everything around us. Love is considered as the true nature of one personality. Tagore suggest his follower that for finding God it‘s not necessary to visit any religious place nor meditating works efficiently but in nature in humanity one perceive his God. He says that “To get the intimacy of supreme consciousness through love of nature, to perceive the form less inform that I call the way to liberation. I am fascinated by the nature, and in that I get the taste of salvation.” It was his believe that Divinity is inherent in real love. His pure thinking also suggest that internal God is existing in human heart, where the internal love goes on. So when we give or take love we say the glimpse of infinity.

Salvation through action:

Tagore says love demands certain actions towards the object of our love. One should feel as well as do something for love. Love is a complete feelings and it‘s perfect in knowledge, action, and renunciation. Tagore says that the Upanishads never forbade us to work because the sages knew that the freedom of work lies in joy and the freedom of joy lies in ‗work‘.

Salvation through worships of beauty:

Tagore‘s faith was one of the affirmations of acceptance of life with joy. He believes that God does not want the world to be cheerless and dead like a desert and man to be regret ascetics but he want love for humanity and love for the nature so that man can attain joy and experience the love of the Supreme Being. According to him, we can, feel the present of internal existing God in beauty and love which is defused in whole world. Our sense organ is created by God so that he can enjoy an experience the form, colour, beauty, taste which are revealed in the nature. Tagore never ignores the importance of body or senses. He wants to enjoy each and every moral object of the world. He believes that “To look upon the world as joyful it is not to become a slave of pleasure. Pleasure is finite in nature, but joy is divine and infinite.”

Humanity and Divinity according to him are not two different order but they expect of same reality. Tagore is empathetic in ascertaining that the Devine is also in certain respect human. Tagore’s thinking was different and he believes that “I want to see my God in the temple where there are no rites, rituals and rigid practices” For realizing God‘s present in one‘s heart the rites rituals and rigid practices are considered as obstacles. He says that “Religion of man in which the infinite is define in humanity.” One’s religion must be his approach in a truth and the actual meaning of true religion is one’s humanity. The religion of man should be become like a man, behave like a man and except the value of man as the man and to love humanity. He believes and spreads the meaning of pure religion is that which accept the unity of all people instead of their different in religious faith. He calls religion as a “united force “and it has a power to make a man rise above the society, country and sect and it can‘t be judged by rites, rituals and superstitions. According to Tagore, man‘s salvation live in freezing his personality from the narrow limitation of selfhood. Man‘s ego makes him self- center and all his activities directed to the satisfaction of his own self. His finite nature is only revealing them. Therefore we can see that Tagore salvation is not in renunciation of the world but in perfecting human personality, when we realize divinity in us, we achieve salvation within this earthly frame.

Marriage Market Prevailed In Indian Society

The most prevailed system of financial transaction followed in India is marriage market which takes place during the time of marriage. Dowry which is offered by the bride’s side to her groom is like a ritual practice universally in Indian society. In the name of gifts and presents people mostly pressurize the bride mates to offer a bulk amount of dowry. These are not only gifts given with a happy heart but one who gives birth to a girl is bounded to follow such traditions in the name of rituals. One of the root causes of people getting disappointed during a birth of a girl child is the marriage market which is prevailed in our society. And because of this system girls are considered as a burden for the family and due to this reason people usually practice abortion so that they can avoid payment of dowry during their marriage.

This dowry provided during the time of marriage in India usually results as poverty for several households also relative weakness of formal financial markets. Apart from this the expenses of the wedding itself charges high cost and in addition to this dowry successfully plays a significant role in investment of the entire saving amount. According to the Indian Government, giving as well as asking for dowry is a social ill that is not meant to be practice by us. The government has also passed many laws and legislatures regarding it but it seems that all efforts have gone in vain. We live in a contemporary world were we believe in the scheme of modernism and equality and in this time practicing such ill works are not acceptable. It is found that if more females are employed and educated as well as given equal opportunities as men are provided than this rate of dowry may reduce and practice of such marriage market will also fall down. Marriage is something which is it too pure but we human beings have made this a kind of business. First thing which is mostly kept in the mind during the time of marriage is jati and dowry. Dowry were the essential part in every wedding and this was found during the time of 1975 but now if we look at the system it has developed a lot. If there is some negative side there is positive too. Now with the passage of time we all have developed a lot and our mind set has also changed. Today also dowry ritual is followed but in rare case people refuse to take dowry and as an alternative of it they want an educated girl and an employed one too.

Dowry tradition is something which is followed from generation to generation and will be followed too but with the passage of time this rate is decreasing and it is expected to decrease more. If each one of us will decide to boycott such custom and also boycott the one who supports such ill tradition than that day will not be much far when such dowry will end up and no girl will be burned or murdered inside the mother’s womb.

A Friend In Need Is A Friend Indeed

A friend plays the most important part in everyone’s life. Every life is incomplete without a proper comradeship. This is a fact that no one can survive without making friends. Life is full of ups and down and we all need someone to support us mentally and emotionally. A friend is the one with whom we share a bond which is rooted by trust, respect, affection, etc. Tackling problems become much easier when you have good friends beside you.

“A friend in need is a friend indeed” this is one of the most popular proverb which we all have heard at least once in our life. This phrase summarizes the eternal essence of the word friendship i.e., the friends who help at the time of need are considered as true friend. Getting a true friend is not only good luck but it’s like a blessing and such people are meant to be nurture with proper care. Place which a friend holds in each one of our life is impossible to express via words. When we have our comrade with us tackling problems becomes very much easy. Life is full of ups and down, pain and heartbreak, suffering and loss and because of all these people ends up going in depression or facing anxiety and mental issues plus any psychological disorder thus in such circumstances a friend plays a vital role in coping up. Healthy and good friendships help in overcoming the negativity of mundane life. Friendship is based on a give and take relation where one needs to give equally love and respect only then the root of such bond will be strong. Friendship must be carryout from the heart not with the intension of profits. True friends help in growing and increasing self-confidence as well as boost immunity. Francis Bacon mentioned on his essay of “Of Friendship” that every human being requires company and social contact and the one who does not believe in this and live a life with isolation is considered either as a wild breast or heavenly God. Human beings require other human beings and if someone ignores interaction are doing unfair with natural state. He also says that “a true friend acts a secondary valve for the heart to [pump life into a sick person.”

Friends do not believe in discouraging rather than they help in reaching the goals of life. But what is important is the bond should be carried out equally by both the parties. Both the parties should be equally loyal to one another if a person is not loyal than he should not expect the other person to be kind and loyal towards him. It is well said that “YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW”, therefore first we should be ourselves ready to follow the simple code of friendship. The key success of successful friendship is good communication among each other. The base of every friendship is communication. Summing up that friendship is vital in each one of lives love, respect and proper communication can build up a good bond.

Tagore’s Humanism and Gitanjali

The famous Gitanjali written by Rabindranath Tagore is a collection of poems. ―Gitanjali‖ is collection of poems which are originally in Bengali under the title ‘Prathana’ meaning Prayer but are later translated into English. It appears in the volume called ‘Naibebya’ in the year 1901. The poems of Gitanjali highlight simplicity of thoughts which are filled with Divine emotions. They are the thoughts about the offering of one own heart at the feet of God. No thought seems to be far away from Tagore‘s pen, from the famous Gitanjali ‘he focus on exploring Divine thought like a devotee finds his God, a seeker finds his master an explorer finds his destination, a lover find his beloved in this poems’. The main focus of his what to teach humans that service to mankind is service to God. He taught us that God lies in the poor and the wretched and we can see and feel God through our service to mankind. According to him man‘s life is a journey, and our destination is to reach the God. The only way to reach God is our kind/heartedness, generosity, love and help to our fellow human being.

Tagore that helps to develop Spiritualism and Humanism in one‘s heart and soul and service to mankind is the pure recognition of God. He also wants to highlight in his poems that human’s life shall be consider worth full and the main concern of one should be devotion towards their work and dedication towards goals. In Rabindranath Tagore‘s Gitanjali he explores the ideas that how he dreamed of a Nation which is free from all the evils and the thoughts that lead to destruction of oneself as well as for the whole nation. He prays to God that each human life shall be filled with happiness and peace and there shall be the spirit of brotherhood among the country men. He strongly criticized the feeling of fear in one‘s life and prays that a soul should be fearless and self-dignified.

Where the mind is without fear

Where the mind is without fear

and the head is held high,

where knowledge is free.

Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls.

Where words come out from the depth of truth,

where tireless striving stretches its arms toward perfection.

Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit.

Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever widening thought and action.

In to that heaven of freedom, my father,

LET MY COUNTRY AWAKE!

Life and Work of R.N.Tagore(7th May,1861- 7th August,1941)

One of the greatest person in the world i.e., Rabindranath Tagore was born in the year 1861.He is also famous by his pen name Bhanu Singh Thakur (Bonita), and also known by his nicknames Gurudev, KabiGuru as well as Biswaka Kavi. Professionally he was a poet, musician as well as artist plus dramatist who took birth in Indian Sub-Continents. He is the one who reformed the Bengali Literature and music, as well as Indian Art with Contextual Modernism. Author of the profoundly sensitive, fresh and amusing words of Gitanjali, in 1930, he was the one who won the Nobel Prize in Literature. Tagore’s poetic songs where observed as spiritual and mercurial; however, his elegant prose and magical poetry remain largely unknown out Bengal. He was also  called as “The Bard of Bengal”.

Rabindranath Tagore was a great poet and was considering ― “Artist of Life”, because he knew the art of life and living. An artist is considered as true lover of life he can communicate with both the Almighty God and at the same time perform duties for the society and the world. According to him the most important thing is practice of realizing and affirming the presence of the infinity in all the things. He considers every day as a process of surrounding ourselves and reducing and removing obstacles with the spirit of Supreme Being. Extending one consciousness towards devotion and service and goodness and love is what one should have. He was well familiar with the inner secret of life and the true relation between Man and the God and the Universe. And most importantly he was not a world refusing mystic leaving in seclusion and avoiding the company of fellow human and society. He was a true lover of life and has the courage to happily face and accept what life presents in front of him. He also had a great knowledge of being practical and rendering services to humanity of how to translate the inner to the outer and his medium was through the inspiration of duty.

He says: ― “It is very characteristic of life that it is not complete within itself; it must come out. It truth is in the commerce of the inside and the outside”. And he further says that: ― “When a man feels the rhythmic throb of the soul- life of the whole world in his own soul, then he is free”. He was one of the most inspiring men who feel that the main characteristics which should be present in an artist are the way of dealing life. One must gain the ability of positive attitude towards the leaving world on the basis of his or her profound understanding of the dual reality of life. This duality exist in once own goodness and without it no creation would be possible. Love is the alpha and omega of all life and existence which could transform and harmonize everything.

What does the word realize me? According to Tagore when we perceived, comprehended and realize our inseparableness with God, we called itself realize or God Realize.

Tagore says: “Our existence is meaningless if we can never expect to realize the highest perfection.” He further says that ― “God can be known by joy and by love”. For joy is knowledge in it completeness, it should be known by our whole being. Intellect sets up apart from the thing to be known, but love knows it object by fusion. Such knowledge is immediate and admits no doubt.” The realize one is completely free because he speak from the very core of existence and address the universal heart of the naked and natural human being, excellently devoid of dogmas and isms, cast and creeds and any kind of national or other boundaries. Such a man was Rabindranath Tagore.

Online Classes is Mental Exhaustion for the Students Rather than Knowledge

In this pandemic who is not familiar with the word online classes which really helped in balancing the education system properly. Corona Virus is a real outbreak and had devastated almost every field but the only ground which remains unshakable was our education system and the credit goes to our expertise technology which helped us in coping up. Online classes are course conducted with the help of teach management system through which students can gets all the details of their studies. With the arrival of such hazardous virus made us all familiar with Zoom Meetings, Microsoft, and Google Meet, etc. arrival of online classes have enhanced our creativity level as well as made us all very much used to with our gadgets. These classes are very much self-paced and provide a great flexibility to the students in the journey of learning the courses. But as we all know every coin has two sides same goes in the case of these online classes too. If it has numerous positive aspects it too has many negative points which could be very dangerous for the students.

The students become very exhausted due to excessive use of mobile phones and laptops. Taking classes from bedroom or drawing hall sounds very cool but reality is something different students become extremely fatigue and exhausted from watching the screens consecutively. On 2020 it was officially announced that students will continue their studies via online mode but who thought that attending lectures are so boring. People think that latest mode of online teaching is very fashionable but then again the knowledge a person acquire is almost null. Staring the screen for long and long hours in a day seems very lethargic plus watching prerecorded lectures didn’t enhanced the knowledge of the students rather than produce the feeling of exhaustion in the mind of the students and as a result degrees and marks are more but knowledge is very less in this contemporary world. These additional assignments have increased burden and stress among the students very much. Online mode of teaching needs a lot of self-discipline but with the course of time decorum of the classes as well as motivation among the students are gradually decreasing. Classroom gives an environment which helps in effective learning but due to lack of proper environment students are struggling to achieve their goals. Arrival of corona virus has already affected our physical system and these online burdens have added an addition weight and increased physical problems like eye strain, excessive headache, fatigue, lack of interest and so on. Thus, the students are less interested in studies and more in passing the time. Another problem is network issue during these classes. Everyone has faced this network issue while attending the online classes and due to this problem students are less concentrated in studying and more in settling the network issues. Summing up that these online classes have balanced the education system a lot but in addition it has failed to provide as much as knowledge offline classes provide.

Challenges Faced by the LGBT Community in US

Since the time of Stonewall Uprising in 1969, the fight for gay rights in the popular United States started when the gay partners fought back against the police when he tried to arrest them in New York. That night was the first struggle and the begging against the gay movement. In 2015 the Supreme Court decided to legalize gay marriage countrywide. But the struggle is continuing till date. The LGBT Americans are usually discriminated by the society when it comes to the house job, child rising and even in the prison. The clash for getting equality is till date find by the people of LGBT Community. Lots of people are treated inhumanly just because of their preference. The problems they are still facing are in US are:

  1. Violence- In 2015, it was found that maximum crimes are committed because of sexual problems and others were committed due to gender discrimination.
  2. Child raising- In only few states parenting of the gay couples are permitted. California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Montana, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Vermont are the states that approve parenting by the gay partner. On the other hand five states denied the parenting of same sex partners.
  3. Gay Conversion Therapy- Majority of states allows kids to go to “gay conversion therapy”. It is a harmful practice that American Psychological Association has convicted. But we also have eight states that refuse this practice for the people of the minor age group.
  4. Work Discrimination- Gays and transgender are fired in most states when there true identity is out publicly. This projects the thought process of people that in today’s generation we have developed so much and people have successful enhanced their skills as well as knowledge but the reality is quite upsetting that in this contemporary world where we talk of equality and modernism, people are losing their jobs if they are found as gay or transgender. And this is the reason these people believe in hiding their true identity in order to save their earning.
Other than this they also faced problems like:
  1. Housing Discrimination – LGBT people are often neglected in our society either it comes to their earning or staying a normal decent life. The people of this community are often humiliated and mistreated by the society. This is the bitter reality of America that the gay and transgender people faced. In a report of 2013 it was found that people with same sex experience disapproving behavior when it comes to housing. In 28 states housing inequality is legal.
  2. Unequal Healthcare – This is a common problem faced by people of this community. LGBT people have health issue due to mental health issues as well as abuse they faced by the society. Sometimes transgender face discrimination from health insurance too. It was found that in 37 states the one who are transgender are discriminated when there true identity is revealed.
  3. Criminal Justice – The area where they are discriminated the most is prison and usually faced abuse by the prisoners.
  4. Acceptance – There are some major issues that cannot be resolved and when it comes to transgender equality this problem is quite major. The LGBT Americans face discrimination at a large amount they are not acceptable by the society. 40% Americans of the LGBT Community faced extreme stress as they are rejected by the society.

Apart from this there are lots of problems faced by the people of LGBT Community although it is legalized in many places by they are still seen with humiliated eyes and are usually discriminated. America has developed a lot when it comes to the people of this community but the struggle is continued and faced by them. So, lets us end this discrimination system and expect their true identity happily.
