WHAT IS PLANNING?????
Planning is a common term which focuses on pre deciding the things which we have to do later. Not only deciding the things but also planning includes thinking of the ways by which we can complete a particular plan successfully. It is an important parameter of the management and we need to plan things in the every sphere of life so that we can go on accordingly. Planning is the combination of creativity and innovation. Planning is done to perform any task effectively and efficiently so that there is no hurdle between the complete process of the task which we wish to perform. In the business world, it is said that planning acts as a bridge to reach the position where we wish to reach.
STEPS OF PLANNING
Planning is not an easy task rather it is a combination of several steps. The complete process of planning has been divided into 7 different steps which are mentioned below –

  1. To set objectives i.e. to decide where we aim to reach. It is basically aiming the destination. Every organization has some targets and thus has to complete them so setting objectives is the first and important step of the planning process.
  2. To develop premises i.e. to set assumptions. No work is completed without a risk and assuming things. So premises are basically assuming what can be done. So making those assumptions is the next step.
  3. To identify alternative courses of action is the third step i.e. once the objective has been set and assumptions have been made, then it is the time to identify and think the proper course of actions which must be performed to reach that particular aim.
  4. To evaluate alternative course i.e. to think of the advantages and disadvantages of each course of action and to find what alternative can work for it if that would not happen.
  5. The next step is to select the best alternative which would be suitable according to our aim. The best plan is adapted and implemented.
  6. The next step is to implement the actual plan which has been thought of yet. This is the step where actually planned course of actions take place and where actually the work is done by the individuals.
  7. The next and final step of the process of planning is to follow-up the actions. In this step all the validation and verification occurs that whether the planned process is going on with the same flow or not. Also it is seen that whether the plan needs any change or it should go on like that only.

IMPORTANCE OF PLANNING

  1. Planning tends to reduce the uncertainty of occurring a process.
  2. It is very essential to provide a proper direction to the plan.
  3. Planning helps to promote innovative ideas and thus the planned work is done more efficiently.
  4. Planning helps in decision-making and dividing the equal amount of work to each individual of the group or team.
  5. Planning reduces confusion at any level of the process.

Lin Dan Retires.

China’s two-time Olympic badminton champion Lin Dan announced his retirement in a social media post on Saturday (July 4), thanking his family and fans.

The news means that the 36-year-old, who took golds at the Beijing and London Games, will not be competing in the next Olympics in Tokyo.

The great Chinese badminton player was well known by the name of lindan and was loved worldwide. He ended his fantastic career by winning each and every title in the sport of badminton.

“Even after 20 years, I even have to mention goodbye to the chinese national team and It is very difficult to speak it out,” he said on social media platform Weibo.

According to the Chinese Badminton Association, Lin submitted a formal retirement application a few days ago.

Given his personal preference and his current situation, the national badminton national team accepted his retirement.
“I’ve dedicated everything to the sport I love. My family, coaches, team mates and fans have accompanied and helped me through many happy times and difficult moments,” the Chinese media quoted Lin as saying within the retirement announcement.

“Now I’m (nearly) 37 years old, and my physical fitness and pain no longer allow me to fight side by side with my teammates,” he added.

Lin, arguably the greatest player in the sport’s history, also won all the major titles, including five gold medals at the world championships between 2006 and 2013 and six All England crowns.

The left-handed shuttler also helped China to six gold medals in the Thomas Cup men’s team event and five titles in the mixed Sudirman Cup.

He also helped the national side to three gold medals in team event and two individual singles titles at the Asian Games.

Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei, who lost to Lin in both the Olympic finals in Beijing and London but beat him in the Rio 2016 semi-finals, hung up his racquet last year due to prolonged health issues.

The rivalry between Lee, who lost for a third straight Olympic final to another Chinese Chen Long, and Lin was considered legendary and the Malaysian paid rich tribute to his on-court nemesis through a poem on social media, accompanied by pictures of them together as children and adults.

Three-time National Award winner, veteran Bollywood choreographer Of Iconic Bollywood Numbers, Saroj Khan, passed away due to cardiac arrest on early Friday morning at 71.

In a career spanning over four decades, Khan is credited with choreographing more than 2,000 songs, including ‘Dola Re Dola’ from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Devdas’, ‘Ek Do Teen’ from Madhuri Dixit-starrer ‘Tezaab’ and ‘Ye Ishq Haaye’ from ‘Jab We Met’ in 2007.

Most of the songs choreographed by Khan had big names as lead actors. Khan has also trained a slew of choreographers who went on to make a big name for themselves in the ’90s, including Farah Khan. Khan was known for blending Indian classical dance with modern beats.

Actress Madhuri Dixit has often credited Khan for catapulting her to fame by choreographing several of her dance numbers. The song ‘Dhak Dhak’ starring Dixit from 1992 film ‘Beta’, was choreographed by Khan and went on to become a national rage.
