A Handy Checklist for Google My Business Spam

If you work in local SEO, you know that dealing with spam on Google My Business is going to be a constant battle. This is especially true if you work in industries like:

  • Legal
  • Health
  • Home services

We need to understand why Google My Business spam is so rampant.

Unfortunately, having keywords in your business name is a massive ranking factor. As an example, I performed a search for “emergency plumber Los Angeles” and here are the top three Google My Business listings ranking in the map pack:

Emergency plumber Los Angeles Google map pack

The first result (24 HR Emergency Plumber Los Angeles Inc) is a lead generation website, which is against Google My Business Guidelines. The second result appears to be a lead generation website, too. The third result? You guessed it, it’s another lead generation listing, they don’t even list a website!

These companies sell leads to real plumbers at a hefty price. Clicking through View all to see all listings, you don’t find a real plumber until the 10th result! Outside of completely fake listings that need to be removed, sometimes competitors will keyword stuff their Google My Business name.

Our Google My Business Spam Checklists

There are two checklists: one for identifying potential listings violating Google My Business guidelines and the other is a reporting checklist.

The first checklist doesn’t need to be done frequently, but it would be beneficial to do it at least once. If your rank tracking is set up correctly for Google Maps, you will likely just need to pay attention to your map rankings. If you drop a position on a major keyword, what listing is outranking you now? If it’s a new listing, head to checklist no.2.

Checklist No.1:

  • On google.com/maps, make sure you’re in the area you want to find spammers
  • Use the search operator intitle:”keyword” to surface listings with the keyword in the business title
  • Any listing that has the primary keyword is a Yellow flag
  • Any listing that is ONLY named the keyword is a Yellow flag
  • Any listing that has a modifier (-) is a Yellow flag
  • Any listing that has no website is a Yellow flag
  • On a Google Sheet, add the business name, address, phone number, website, and link to Google My Business listing for each Yellow flag listing
  • Repeat this process for each major keyword (topic) that you/your client covers
  • For good measure, perform a few raw searches in Maps as if you were a customer looking for the particular service, including the city name

This checklist enables you to find potential listings relatively quickly. These listings may be fake or could be completely legit. The second checklist will help us go through each listing, one-by-one, to build a case for the listing to be corrected or completely removed.

Checklist No.2:

Tip: (A “no” response on any checklist item will require documentation)

  • Use the state’s business name lookup. Is there a business registered at the address?
  • From the listing, click on photos and then go to Street View and 360º.
    • Is there signage for the business?
    • Is it a personal residence?
  • In a new tab, do a search of the exact address/is the listing the only one at that address?
  • Visit the website. Is the branding/logo the same as the business name?
    • Does the site have an about page with real people or company history?
    • Is the content heavily ‘SEO’d’ and generic?
    • Is the content focused on connecting users to someone else (lead gen)?
    • For industries that require a license, is one listed? If yes, is it a valid license?

This checklist should be used on each listing that has a Yellow flag.

Documenting Your Evidence

As you’re going through the checklist, you need to document all of your findings, this will be used when we submit the Business Redressal Form.

Open a Google Doc, name it appropriately, and let your documentation live there. Each listing should have it’s own Google Doc. The more detail you can provide in the document, the better. Some suggestions for added detail could include adding screenshots, external links with descriptions, etc.

Suggest an Edit or the Redressal Form?

If you are reporting a competitor that is just keyword stuffing their business name and the location is legitimate, you may want to consider simply suggesting an edit first.

  • Pro tip: Do not use an email address that is associated with Google My Business listings. This can cause your other listings to be suspended. (h/t to my friend, Jason Brown).

If and/or when your suggested edit does not stick, then submit the redressal form. If the listing is fake, go straight to the Business Redressal Form.

Filling Out the Redressal Form

Follow the Business Redressal Form instructions and fill out the sections. When you get to the last section that allows you to explain why you’re requesting a redress, this is where your Google Doc is going to come in handy.

In this field, you can’t add photos, but you are able to include a link to your Google Doc. When grabbing the Google Doc link, make sure it is viewable by anyone with the link. If it’s not, Google Support will not be able to see the contents. Don’t just drop the link and submit, provide some context, and then place the Google Doc link.
Submit.

Repeat the process for each and every listing that you believe needs to be removed. Google recommends:

“If you have many URLs to report, we recommend submitting 10-100 at a time for a faster processing time. You can submit multiple URLs by clicking the ‘Add additional’ link or by uploading a spreadsheet with all the URLs.”

Now the hardest part begins, waiting.

In your original spreadsheet, add a date column and add the date that the redressal form was submitted. Timelines can vary depending on multiple factors but if nothing has happened after 10 weeks, then you’ll need to reassess the redressal and look for further evidence.

Having to deal with spam on Google My Business is frustrating and can be time-consuming, but if done correctly, can help protect users from spammers and help real small businesses. For more tips, check out SEMrush’s post about their Google My Business checklist.

Programming Language

Before learning the programming language, let’s understand what is language?

What is Language?

Language is a mode of communication that is used to share ideas, opinions with each other. For example, if we want to teach someone, we need a language that is understandable by both communicators.

What is a Programming Language?

A programming language is a computer language that is used by programmers (developers) to communicate with computers. It is a set of instructions written in any specific language ( C, C++, Java, Python) to perform a specific task.

A programming language is mainly used to develop desktop applications, websites, and mobile applications.

Types of programming language

1. Low-level programming language

Low-level language is machine-dependent (0s and 1s) programming language. The processor runs low- level programs directly without the need of a compiler or interpreter, so the programs written in low-level language can be run very fast.

Low-level language is further divided into two parts –

i. Machine Language

Machine language is a type of low-level programming language. It is also called as machine code or object code. Machine language is easier to read because it is normally displayed in binary or hexadecimal form (base 16) form. It does not require a translator to convert the programs because computers directly understand the machine language programs.

The advantage of machine language is that it helps the programmer to execute the programs faster than the high-level programming language.

ii. Assembly Language

Assembly language (ASM) is also a type of low-level programming language that is designed for specific processors. It represents the set of instructions in a symbolic and human-understandable form. It uses an assembler to convert the assembly language to machine language.

The advantage of assembly language is that it requires less memory and less execution time to execute a program.

2. High-level programming language

High-level programming language (HLL) is designed for developing user-friendly software programs and websites. This programming language requires a compiler or interpreter to translate the program into machine language (execute the program).

The main advantage of a high-level language is that it is easy to read, write, and maintain.

High-level programming language includes Python, Java, JavaScript, PHP, C#, C++, Objective C, Cobol, Perl, Pascal, LISP, FORTRAN, and Swift programming language.

A high-level language is further divided into three parts –

i. Procedural Oriented programming language

Procedural Oriented Programming (POP) language is derived from structured programming and based upon the procedure call concept. It divides a program into small procedures called routines or functions.

Procedural Oriented programming language is used by a software programmer to create a program that can be accomplished by using a programming editor like IDE, Adobe Dreamweaver, or Microsoft Visual Studio.

The advantage of POP language is that it helps programmers to easily track the program flow and code can be reused in different parts of the program.

The advantage of POP language is that it helps programmers to easily track the program flow and code can be reused in different parts of the program.

Example: C, FORTRAN, Basic, Pascal, etc.

ii. Object-Oriented Programming language

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) language is based upon the objects. In this programming language, programs are divided into small parts called objects. It is used to implement real-world entities like inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction, etc in the program to makes the program resusable, efficient, and easy-to-use.

The main advantage of object-oriented programming is that OOP is faster and easier to execute, maintain, modify, as well as debug.

Note: Object-Oriented Programming language follows a bottom-up approach.

Example: C++, Java, Python, C#, etc.

iii. Natural language

Natural language is a part of human languages such as English, Russian, German, and Japanese. It is used by machines to understand, manipulate, and interpret human’s language. It is used by developers to perform tasks such as translation, automatic summarization, Named Entity Recognition (NER), relationship extraction, and topic segmentation.

The main advantage of natural language is that it helps users to ask questions in any subject and directly respond within seconds.

3. Middle-level programming language

Middle-level programming language lies between the low-level programming language and high-level programming language. It is also known as the intermediate programming language and pseudo-language.

A middle-level programming language’s advantages are that it supports the features of high-level programming, it is a user-friendly language, and closely related to machine language and human language.

Example: C, C++, language

Most commonly used Programming Language

As we all know, the programming language makes our life simpler. Currently, all sectors (like education, hospitals, banks, automobiles, and more ) completely depend upon the programming language.

There are dozens of programming languages used by the industries. Some most widely used programming languages are given below –

High crop yield possible, Former NASA scientist makes amazing discovery

  • A former NASA scientist Parag Narvekar has created sensors to enhance farm produce for farmers in Nashik, Maharashtra. He claims that new sensors will assist farmers to understand the weather and adjust their use of irrigation and fertilisers. According to Narvekar, the new sensors are more cost-effective than the already existing ones and have made sensors of Rs 10,000 that earlier use to cost Rs 1.5 lakh.

Cost-effective Sensors to Improve Farm Produce

  • A resident of Nashik, Narvekar owns a company Sensartics that makes weather sensors and offers cost-effective solutions to farmers. Narvekar’s company has also collaborated in the past with more organisations to provide solutions to local farmers’ problems. In February this year, Sensartics collaborated with Sahyadri Farmers Producers Company (FPC) to establish sensors in Nashik’s grape farms to safeguard the farmers from losing their harvest because of odd weather. The team installs sensors at the root zone levels of the plants. These sensors calculated temperature, soil moisture and soil electrical conductivity. Sensors placed in the canopies measured humidity and leaf wetness other than temperature.
  • Narvekar, with his team at Sensartics, has also established village level local weather stations that can provide precise weather forecasts beneficial for the local farmers, the efforts of Narvekar and his company have brought state-of-the-art meteorological stations within the reach of farmers.
  • With this they Gained greater clarity around the potential of sensors to improve agriculture and food security.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BUILD A CAREER IN AI?

“Artificial intelligence !” a new lucrative field in which many peeps wanna dive in and why not coz it is not just restricted to the computer science world but finance law industries etc . we are now living in a time where we have chatbots listening to our instruction doing as said, solving problems and looking for loopholes in a system the data better and faster than us. and it’s just starting AI and machine learning is going to grow more and more as time goes. With this huge need for AI experts, in all these fields will also come. Artificial intelligence isn’t just a fad. It’s here to stay!

that’s why many interesting learners want to make a career in this AI field, here the very vital question arises as what does it take to build a career in AI?

Scientific-brain!

As AI is highly scientific, the primary attempt of AI is to make it work the same as humans( or better in some cases) it requires the person to have quite a lot of knowledge, training, and cognitive skill! A huge learning curve is there to understand to make suitable and best-approximated outcomes. Which requires years of learning and practice. like researchers and scientists.

Mathematical thinking

A huge need for mathematical ability is needed to make a career in AI. Fields like statistics, probability, predictions, calculus, algebra, Bayesian algorithms, and logic are going to be primary tools for you in your arsenals. With maths, you are also going to need some science knowledge such as mechanics, cognitive learning theory, language processing, and computer science skills that a mathematical thinker must have

A quip in Tesler’s Theorem says “AI is whatever hasn’t been done yet”

highly critical thinking

Being rational with the approach is very necessary as you go ahead you find yourself making choices that need to be based on critical thinking. nothing will be important at face value. huge experiments and failures will happen, and decisions would be based on results only! critical thinkers in normal day-to-day life are considered to be very smart and hard nuts! That’s what we search for in a field with many challenges.

Naturally curious

Working in AI field is unlike any other field where you faces similar problems which have to be solved with an already existing solution or where you exactly know what and why you doing and what will likely to happen but here it AI its just changes altogether as this field is about uncovering the unknown and exploring like a captain of a ship in this huge sea of unknown. What we can know or figure out with this technology is still a few drops. we have yet to reach the primary mission of us humans “ to make an artificial intelligence like the human brain. In this journey, we need curious peeps who love to think out of the box and think curiously

Loves challenges

Field with multiple failures and a huge need to push boundaries makes it really hard digestible tea for many. but if you have that willpower and love challenges in life! then this is your thing for sure. finding ways to do the same thing with different approaches, again and again, and again! Taking a huge toll of work on yourself and pushing yourself to reach deadlines! If you have these skills then this is it

No doubts AI is the future! and a career in this field is also very exciting and challenging! It gives everything that a person asks for!

pls let me know what you think in comment section and share ! :), sayonara!

Team Software Process (TSP) – In Short

What is TSP ?

 TSP (Team Software Process) is a guideline for software product development teams.
 TSP focuses on helping development teams to improve their quality and productivity to better meet
goals of cost and progress.
 TSP is designed for groups ranging from 2 persons to 20 persons. TSP can be applied to large
multiple-group processes for up to 150 persons.
 There are 8 steps for implementing PSP and TSP. Each step is focused on solving particular process
problems.

1. Objectives of TSP

1.To build a self-directed teams that plan and track their work, establish goals and own their process
and plans. These can be pure software teams or integrated teams
2.Shows managers how to coach and motivate the team members so that they can give peak (high)
performance.
3.It accelerate (increases) the software process development

2. Goal of TSP

The goal of the TSP is to build a ―Self-Directed‖ project teams that organizes itself to produce high
quality software.

3. Activities of TSP

1) Project Launch: It reviews project objective and describes the TSP structure and content. It
assigns need and roles to the team members and describes the customers need statement.
2) High Level Design: it creates the high level design, specify the design, inspect the design and
develop the integration plan.
3) Implementation: This uses the PSP to implement the modules and the functions.
4) Integration and Testing: Testing builds and integrates the system.
5) Postmortem: Writes the cycle report and produces peer and team review.

4. TSP Advantages

  1. Defines roles and responsibilities for each team member.
  2. Track quantitative project data.
  3. Identifies a team process that is appropriate for the project and a strategy for implementing the process.
  4. Defines local standards that are applicable to the team‘s software engineering work;
  5. Continually assesses risk and reacts to it;
  6. Tracks, manages, and reports project status.

TSP & PSP Comparison

PSP TSP
1. PSP(Personal Software Process)provide a standard personal process structure for software developers1. TSP (Team Software Process) is a guideline for software product Development teams.
2. PSP consists of a set of methods, tables, scripts etc. that serve as a guideline for software developers to plan, measure and manage their  Work, including how to define their processes and measure quality and productivity.2. TSP focuses on helping development teams to improve their quality and productivity to better   meet goals of cost and progress.
3. PSP skills are used in a TSP team Environment.3. TSP teams consist of PSP-trained developers who volunteer for areas of project responsibility, so the project is managed by the team Itself.
4. The PSP is a personal process that can be adapted to suit the needs of the individual developer.4. TSP uses team based planning sessions
5. The Personal Software Process (PSP) is an SEI technology that brings discipline to the practices of individual software engineers for improving product quality and increasing cost. 5. The Team Software Process (TSP) is complementary SEI technology that enables teams   to develop software-intensive products more effectively.

IIT-MADRAS, AVISHKAR HYPERLOOP TEAM QUALIFIES FOR EUROPEAN HYPERLOOP WEEK

A group of students with team named “AVISHKAR” from IIT Madras have been working tremendously towards the technology behind the future of transportation, HYPERLOOP. The team comprises of forty students from various department of IIT, madras. They have been working on this new prototype hyperloop project since last November.

BUT, WHAT IS HYPERLOOP?

Basically, hyperloop is a high speed mass transportation system. A hyperloop is a super speed ground-level transportation system in which people could travel in a hovering pod inside a vacuum tube at speeds as high as 760 mph (1220 km/h).

While talking about the product, Neel said, “Hyperloop is a proposed mode of transportation in which many pods will be traveling inside a vacuum tube, capable of attaining high speeds due to no air friction and reduced air drag.” It IS the fifth and most efficient mode of transportation that the world is moving towards, he added. Further he said, “Because Hyperloop is sustainable, it works on electrical energy, we can install Solar panels on top of the tube, which could store energy and the same energy could be used to propel the hyperloop. This is way more sustainable .”

HOW DOES A HYPERLOOP WORK?

It has three major components: a tube, pod, and terminal. The tube is a large low pressure system that is sealed and tube can be constructed either above or below the ground. A pod is a coach that runs inside this controlled system and this pod employs magnetic or aerodynamic levitation along with electromagnetic or aerodynamic propulsion to glide along a fixed guideway. The terminals are used for arrivals and departures. Hyperloop is based on simple science called Magnetic levitation. But one thing that needs to be noted is, that it requires complex machinery and sensors to make a Pod travel at nearly 1000 km/h inside a vacuum tube. However the team has cracked that and named their pod “GARV”, which translates to “PRIDE”. It consists of Carbon Fiber shell, packed with advanced machinery and sensors.

STATEMENT:

Pranit, who is Head of Braking Module, said that Garv is their second Pod which is more efficient and lighter than the one they designed for SpaceX. “This time we are introducing several technologies like linear induction motor to achieve ‘contactless propulsion’ and ‘contactless braking. The motor produces a magnetic field which makes the Pod move forward and the contactless Braking has magnets which come closer to the rail, creating a Braking force and decelerating the Pod,” Pranit added.

Parth, a member of the Controls team, said, “Our team started in November. Everything we did online such as brainstorming sessions and discussions about the simulations. Once we were confident, we came back to the institute and started working on the Pod.” He said, “We are participating in European Hyperloop Week which will be conducted on 19th – 25th July and Valencia, Spain. Because of the pandemic, we are forced to compete virtually, but that is not a setback for us.”

EUROPEAN HYPERLOOP WEEK SELECTION:

With all their hard work, they have now crossed the hurdle and are qualified for the European Hyperloop Week that is to be held in Valencia, Spain from July 19 to 25. The team will participate virtually due to pandemic restrictions. With upgraded prototype, the team estimates the travel time between Chennai and Bangalore to be a mere 30 minutes ride instead of a six hours journey. They are also working on the study of energy, costs, demands and other aspects of hyperloop so as to access the economic feasibility of hyperloop in India.

Happiness

Happiness is a state of mind which we possess when something good happens to us and we feel that goodness at our heart. This is an abstract feeling which is not materialistic and cannot be bought by money or some other possession. Happiness brings with itself a lot of positivity and also provides us with the motivation to go ahead and achieve other milestones. Happiness also maintains the zeal and enthusiasm for doing things and experiencing new paths. Happy state of mind also increases the age of people and lets them live a longer life.

Happiness is a key to healthy life; it sets a soul free and encourages it to explore the world and also gives us power. Happiness is a part of being successful in life it is that fruit which we all want to grow and thus we do so much of hard work throughout our entire life so that we can live a happy peaceful life after all. Happiness cannot be ever faked it comes straight out from our heart and it is priceless. At the end of a hard-earned day all we care for is some peace and happiness in our families and ourselves so that we can start another fresh day ahead.

4 levels of Happiness :

” Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence” . Of course, there are a number of different types of happiness and each person has different things in life that make them happy and unhappy. The secret of Happiness is contentment which means a state of happiness or satisfaction . It isn’t a matter of being satisfied with what you have. Contentment not only holds the power tobmake you happy, but it will transforms your life in many ways.

4. Optimism :

Optimism is a type of happiness that reflects the belief that events or experience outcomes will generally be positive. The key to attaining happiness is to have an optimistic approach to life, as optimism reflects hope and faith, helping people believe that this world is the right place

5. Gratitude :

Gratitude creates positive emotions, like different types of happiness, joy, love, and contentment, it can undo the hold of negative emotions. It goes hand in hand with mindfulness in its focous on the present and greatfulness for what we have now, rather than wanting more and more.

6. Excitment :

Excitment can be anything from about a new job or moving to a different place and motivates youbto work harder and channel that positive energy into more constructive activity. Excitements is fleeting. It dissipates rather quickly and can turn into ennui. It sometimes acts as a motivating factor , and execitment often leads people to likely make a decision. Even a bad one as excitment leads to impulsivity.

7. Pride :

Last on the list of different types of happiness is pride. Yes, pride and happiness go hand in hand. You can take pride in your work and your family, your haome and yourself, and in anything you put effort, attention, and love into. It is a positive feeling in reactive to a jouous event.

There are 7 essential keys to happiness and success that will help to materialize both those things in your life:

* Gratitude.

Although, during first wave India have managed well by following norms and guidelines issued by our government.  People followed social distancing, hand washing and masking along with other preventive measures. The whole country was under lockdown to break the chain of transmission but had a devastating impact on the country’s economy.

However, we should thankful for the advances made in the field of medical technology and research for the discovery of covid-19 vaccination. This will strengthen our fight against corona virus. Even after vaccination it is important to follow the covid appropriate behavior.

As extraordinary situations required extra ordinary measures, mandatory vaccination for all could help us to achieve herd immunity. This will help us to increase the capacity of healthcare system.

Why the need and demand increases with time?

High Time – This is the high time to make vaccination mandatory to protect the lives of people, protecting the vulnerable and preventing the devastating effect of lock down.

Public Safety – Clinical trials and ongoing researches have shown vaccinated people are at lower risk of developing severe diseases than the unvaccinated ones. Mortality is rare for fully vaccinated ones, researchers and scientists have developed vaccines which have negligible side effects and higher efficacy rates.

Continuous Supply – As per the current situation it is important to maintain the pace of vaccination drives to break the chain of transmission and to achieve herd immunity. The central and state governments should work in collaboration to make the vaccination drive successful by ensuring proper supply.

Healthcare System – Healthcare workers or frontline warriors should be fully vaccinated along with their family members. So, that everyone could be safe because they are the ones who are taking care of the patients in this time of emergency. Their safety should come first to strengthen healthcare infrastructure.

Self Driving Cars

A self-driving car uses a combination of sensors, cameras, radar and artificial intelligence (AI) to travel between destinations without a human operator. To qualify as fully autonomous, a vehicle must be able to navigate without human intervention to a predetermined destination over roads that have not been adapted for its use.

Companies developing or testing autonomous cars include Audi, BMW, Ford, Google, General Motors, Tesla, Volkswagen and Volvo. Google’s test involved self-driving cars – including Toyota Prii and an Audi TT – navigating over 140,000 miles of streets and highways.

How self-driving cars work

AI technologies power self-driving car systems. Developers of self-driving cars use vast amounts of data from image recognition systems, along with machine learning and neural networks, to build systems that can drive autonomously.

The neural networks identify patterns in the data, which is fed to the machine learning algorithms. That data includes images from cameras on self-driving cars from which the neural network learns to identify traffic lights, trees, curbs, pedestrians, street signs and other parts of any given driving environment.

Google’s self-driving car project, called Waymo, uses a mix of sensors, Lidar (light detection and ranging — a technology similar to radar) and cameras and combines all of the data those systems generate to identify everything around the vehicle and predict what those objects might do next. This happens in fractions of a second. Maturity is important for these systems. The more the system drives, the more data it can incorporate into its deep learning algorithms, enabling it to make more nuanced driving choices.

The following outlines how Google Waymo vehicles work:

  • The driver or passenger sets a destination. The car’s software calculates a route.
  • A rotating, roof-mounted Lidar sensor monitors a 60-meter range around the car and creates a dynamic three-dimensional (3D) map of the car’s current environment.
  • A sensor on the left rear wheel monitors sideways movement to detect the car’s position relative to the 3D map.
  • Radar systems in the front and rear bumpers calculate distances to obstacles.
  • AI software in the car is connected to all the sensors and collects input from Google Street View and video cameras inside the car.
  • The AI simulates human perceptual and decision-making processes using deep learning and controls actions in driver control systems, such as steering and brakes.
  • The car’s software consults Google Maps for advance notice of things like landmarks, traffic signs and lights.
  • An override function is available to enable a human to take control of the vehicle.

India is pressuring Twitter with requests for user data and content removal.

This year, Twitter is under a lot of pressure in India. However, even before the country imposed stringent new regulations on tech firms, the corporation was bombarded with requests from the government to delete material or disclose user data.

Indian authorities requested more account information from Twitter in the final six months of 2020 than any other nation, according to the Silicon Valley-based company’s newest transparency report released on Wednesday. The number of requests for content removal submitted by India increased by 152% to over 7,000.

This journalist explains why one of her tweets vanished.

India’s demands for user information amounted to 25% of the total it received during the reporting period, which runs from July 1 to December 31, 2020, according to Twitter (TWTR). Over 99 percent of the requests were ignored by Twitter.

“Notably, this is the first time since we began releasing our transparency report in 2012 that the US is not the top worldwide requester,” the firm stated, adding that the US came in second in terms of global volume.

According to the company, the information requests comprised normal legal demands as well as emergency requests from government agencies and law enforcement authorities.

“Where appropriate, Twitter will push back on requests for account information that are incomplete or inappropriate,” according to the firm, such as those that are “invalid or overbroad in scope.” In the event of an emergency involving the risk of death or serious harm, the firm may reveal account information if sufficient proof is presented that such information will prevent the hazards.

Just over 150 information requests from India were classed as emergencies by Twitter. According to the firm, the United States sent the most such requests in the globe, with 822.

Meanwhile, legal requests from India to delete or withhold information increased by 152% in the latter six months of 2020 compared to the previous reporting period. Just over 9% of the 6,971 demands were met, according to Twitter.

After Japan, which made over 16,000 requests mostly connected to narcotics, obscenity, or money lending, India became the world’s second-highest submitter of such requests. The number of requests from Japan decreased by 16 percent from the previous quarter, but it still accounted for 43 percent of all worldwide requests.

According to the firm, 361 requests for information removal were made on 199 verified journalist and news outlet accounts throughout the world. It went on to say that India accounted for 128 of the requests.

The research excludes 2021 when Twitter is embroiled in a heated standoff with the Indian government over new information technology regulations.

During a series of farmer demonstrations in February, the business fought with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology over accounts that the agency wanted to be taken down. Some of the requests were granted, but Twitter declined to take action against accounts belonging to journalists, activists, or politicians.

Weeks after the feud, India issued new rules requiring social media companies to establish three roles in the country: a “compliance officer” who will ensure that their platforms comply with local laws, a “grievance officer” who will handle complaints from Indian users about their platforms, and a “contact person” who will be available to Indian law enforcement 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They are all required to live in India. If authorities demand it, companies must track out the “first originator” of messages.

In May, the firm raised worries about “fundamental components of the new IT Rules” as well as the country’s “potential threat to freedom of speech.” It promised to fulfill the new standards a few days later.

A Delhi court recently chastised Twitter for failing to comply with the new guidelines promptly. In a court filing last week, the business stated that it had appointed an interim compliance officer. It also stated in the filing that it will “attempt in good faith to make an offer of employment to a qualified candidate” for all of the positions within eight weeks.

The company’s website featured a complaints officer and a Bangalore location where Twitter could be reached as of last weekend.

Unemployment

Unemployment has become one of the biggest problems around the world. When an individual is an implied, he or she will know very less about the mankind. It is so difficult to face situation and handle situations when the individual is unemployed. Unemployment leads to many silly mistakes. And an unemployed person cannot take over the family and lead the family as well. There is a huge competition in highly populated countries like India. In order to be employed, the only method is to study hard and improve the skills and score better. Basically, the students are not showing good amount of interest towards the studies. Let us now see how to motivate them.

Covid crisis has made many people unemployed. It has taken away the basic need of living. Many people are left with the unfilled stomachs. Some people are dead about by not finding a way to live.

Types of unemployment :

There are four main types of unemployment in an economy frictional, structural, cyclical, and seasonal and each has a different cause.

1. Frictional unemployment :

Frictional unemployment is caused by temporary transitions in workers lives, such as when a worker moves to a new city and has to find a new job. Frictional unemployment also includes people just entering the labor force, such as freshly graduated college students. It is the most common cause of unemployment, and it is always in effect in an economy.

2. Structural unemployment :

Structural unemployment is caused by a mismatch in the demographics of workers and the types of jobs available, either when there are jobs available that workers don’t have the skills for, or when there are workers availabes but no jobs to fill. Structural unemployment is most obvious in industries undergoing technological advancements.

3. Cyclical unemployment :

Cyclical unemployment is caused by declining demand. When there is not enough demand in an economy for goods and services, businesses cannot offer jobs . According to keynesian economics , cyclical unemployment is a natural result of the business cycle in times of recession: if all consumers become fearful at once, consumers will attempt to increase their saving at the same time, which means there will be a decrease in spending, and businesses will not be able to employ all employable workers.

4. Seasonal unemployment :

Seasonal unemployment is caused by different industries or parts of the labor market being available during different seasons. Fot instance, unemployment goes up in the winter months, because many agricultural jobs end oncr crops are have harvested in the fall, and those wotkers are left to find new jobs.

Consequences of unemployment in an Economy :

Low unemployment is key to economic stability High and long- term unemployment can cause significant stress on a nation in three key areas.

* Individuals :

Unemployed people have no ability to fulfill their financial obligations and can become mentally stressed, ill, and even homeless.

* Economic efficiency :

During times of high unemployment many job seekers will accept new jobs below their skill level, a situation called “underemployment ” which translates to a loss of human capital for an economys labor market. Unemployed workers will also significantly decreases their consumer spending, which is one of the driving forces of economic growth. Without consumer spending, the economy will slow dramatically.

* socio- political stability :

If unemployment remains high, citizen dissatisfaction can rise to the point of widespread civil unrest.

Possible solutions for Unemployment :

Solving unemployment is a hotly debated topic, and no economists agree on one simple way to do it. However, in the U.S ,if unemployment rises noticeably, the government usually steps in with specific policies designed to lower the total number of unemployed people.

1. Monetary policy :

Monetary policy is financial influence implemented by a central bank . Monetary policies usually come in the form of lower interest rates, which increase the total money supply within an economy by allowing banks and businesses more access to loans and therefore, more accessible spending power.

2. Fiscal policy :

If expansionary monetary policy doesn’t adequately lower the unemployment rate government agencies will turn to fiscal policy. Fiscal policy is fiscal stimulus implemented by the national government and fiscal policies include spending on infrastructure, proposingtax cuts , increasing the minimum wage, or implementing unemployment benefits. These methods are designed to inject more demand into private economy and strengthen economic activity.

Let us now see some of the ways to motivate the students to study and get employeed.

Make things easier :

Showing the things easier and explaining them with clarity helps the students to show better interest on the subject and makes them to pay more attention on what the teacher is trying to convey. When the topics are shown easier for the students, they start learning them and they feel achieved and they pay more attention to study. When a student learns a particular topic or a question, he/she feels comfortable and happy for getting it. Once if they start reading, they develop the interest in them and they continue to read more and more.

Tell the importance :

The students must be motivated with good number of words to understand the need of studying and what happens if they don’t study. A student is like a bird without the wings when they don’t study. So, it is very important to motivate students to study and to make them understand the need of the situation. Motivation brings the right change in the students who are not interested in learning. It develops the interest in them to study.

It seems good if the government provides good number of jobs.

Personal Software Process (PSP) – In Short

What is PSP ?

 PSP (Personal Software Process) provide a standard personal process structure for software developers.
 PSP consists of a set of methods, tables, scripts etc. that serve as a guideline for software developers to
plan, measure and manage their work, including how to define their processes and measure quality and productivity.
 PSP provides software engineers disciplined methods for improving personal software development process.

PSP helps software engineers to –

 Improve their estimating and planning skill.
 Make commitment they can keep.
 Manage the quality of their product.
 Reduce the number of defects in their work.
 PSP represents metrics based approach to software engineering.
 PSP deals with software engineers to identify the errors early and to understand the types of errors.

  1. PSP Activities
  1. Planning: This activity isolates requirements and specifications to be decided prior to the development
and estimates the size and the cost of the project. Defect estimation is also made. Development tasks
are identified and scheduled is created.
  2. High-Level Design: External specifications and requirements for each component to be constructed
and developed. Component design is also created. Prototypes are developed if requirements are
    complex.
  3. High Level Design Review: Formal verification methods are applied to uncover errors in the design.
  4. Development: The component level design is reviewed and refined. The code is generated, reviewed,
    compiled and tested.
  5. Postmortem: Using Metrics and measures the effectiveness of the process is determined. It provides
guidance for modification of process and its improvement.

2. Goal of PSP

The goal of PSP is to provide software engineers with disciplined methods for improving personal
software development.

3. Advantages of PSP

  1. PSP represents a disciplined, metrics-based approach to software engineering.
  2. PSP resulting improvement in software engineering productivity and software quality are significant.
  1. It helps the software engineers in developing high quality software products.
  2. It guides the engineer for personal improvement.
  3. It gives the confidence to do the job the way you know you should.
  4. The PSP gives the command over your work.

4. Disadvantages of PSP

  1. PSP is intellectually challenging and demands a level of commitment which is always not possible
    to obtain.
  1. Training for PSP is lengthy and costs for the training are high.
  2. Required level of measurement is culturally difficult.

Plastic bags

We human beings are the one who is responsible for polluting our nature and thus in turn nature also takes its revenge through various calamities, diseases, pandemic and so on. We all know that pollution is mainly caused by non-biodegradable wastes and plastic is such a non-biodegradable product which we human beings use very frequently in our everyday life, starting from plastic bags to toys, containers, food packaging almost everything has the use of plastic in it and thus is also generates a lot of waste daily. Plastic being a non-biodegradable waste stays into the soil or water for years and does not decompose rather they choke animal and water creatures also restricts plant growth and leads even to their death sometimes when the roots get entangled into them. Non-biodegradable plastic waste if burnt emits toxic fumes which in turn causes severe air pollution and is extremely harmful for living beings. We have got so much use of plastic that we cannot completely stop the use of plastic we can reduce it to some extent. To save the nature and environment from pollution we can follow the 3R’s i.e., Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Recycling plastic is a great method which is even sustainable and can help us save our nature.

Package :

Several design options and features are available. Some bags have gussets to allow a higher volume of contents, special standup pouches have the ability to stand up on a shelf or a refrigerator, and some have easy opening or reclosable options. Handles are cut into or added into some. Bags can be made with a variety of plastics films. Polyethylene is the most common. Other forms, including laminates and co- extrusions can be used when the physical properties are needed. Plastics to create single use bags are primarly made with Fossil fuels. International plastic bag free day is celebrated on july 3.

Medical uses :

Plastic bags are used for many medical purposes. The non purpose quality of plastic film means that they are usefu for isolating infections body fluids ; other porous bags made of nonwoven plastics can be sterilized by gas and maintain this sterility. Bags can be made under regulated sterile manufactoring conditions ,so they can be used when the infection is a health risk. They are lightweight and flexiblr, so they can be carried by or laid next to patients without making the patients as uncomfortable as a heavy glass bottle would be. They are less expensive than re- usable options, such as glass bottles.

Flexible intermediate bulk container :

Flexible intermediate bulk containers are large industrial containers, usually used for bulk powders or flwables. They are usually constructed of women heavy-duty plastic fibers.

Plastic shopping bags :

Open bags with carrying handles are used in large numbers. Stores often provide them as a convience to shoppers. Some stores charge a nominal fee for a bag. Heavy duty reuseable shopping bags are often considered environmentally better than single use paper or plastic shopping bags. Because of envirpnmental a little problems, some locations are working toward a phase- out of lightweight plastic bags.

Danger to children :

Thin, comfortable plastic bags, especially dry cleaning bags, have the potential to cause suffocation. Because of this about 25 children in the united states suffocate each year due to plastic bags, almost nine- tenth of whom are under the age of one. This had led to voluntary warning lables on some bags posing a hazard to small children.

Uses :

Plastic bags are used for diverse applications. Bags of crisps, gardening supplies, bagging vegetables, blood platelets, inner bladder for bag-in – box , pastry bag with convenience closure, ostomy bag, bin bag, string bag made of plastic fibers, porous bag for cooking rice, Intravenous therapy, evidence bag, travel toiletries in a reclosable plastic bag, woven plastic fiber bags used for sand, A plastic body bag.

Different Types of plastic Bags :

* High Density polyethylene (HDPE)

* Low Density polyethylene ( LDPE)

* Linear Low Density Polyethylene ( LLDPE)

* Medium Density polyethylene (MDPE)

* polypropylene ( pp)

* The problem with plastic bags. Plastic bags start out as fossil fuels and end up as deadly waste in landfills and the ocean. Birds often mistakes shredded plastic bags for food, filling their stomachs with toxic debris.
