Values

Values are the positive teachings provided to help us and tread the right path in life. Every parent wants his child to imbibe these. These can even be referred to as good qualities. A person who imbibes good values grows on to become a responsible individual and he is capable of demarcating right and wrong. Also, he is able to make wiser decisions in life.

Importance of Values

For an individual, values are most important. An individual with good values is loved by everyone around as he is compassionate about others and also he behaves ethically.

Values Help in Decision Making

A person is able to judge what is right and what is wrong based on the values he imbibes. In life at various steps, it makes the decision-making process easier. A person with good values is always likely to make better decisions than others.

Values Can Give Direction to Our Life

In life, Values give us clear goals. They always tell us how we should behave and act in different situations and give the right direction to our life. In life, a person with good values can take better charge.

Values Can Build Character

If a person wants a strong character, then he has to possesses good values such as honesty, loyalty, reliability, efficiency, consistency, compassion, determination, and courage. Values always help in building our character.

Values Can Help in Building a Society

If u want a better society then people need to bear good values. Values play an important role in society. They only need to do their hard work, with compassion, honesty, and other values. Such people will help in the growth of society and make it a much better place to live.

Characteristics of Values

Values are always based on various things. While the basic values remain the same across cultures and are intact since centuries some values may vary. Values may be specific to a society or age. In the past, it was considered that women with good moral values must stay at home and not voice their opinion on anything but however, this has changed over time. Our culture and society determine the values to a large extent. We imbibe values during our childhood years and they remain with us throughout our life.

Family always plays the most important role in rendering values to us. Decisions in life are largely based on the values we possess. Values are permanent and seldom change. A person is always known by the values he possesses. The values of a person always reflect on his attitude and overall personality.

The Decline of Values in the Modern Times

While values are of great importance and we are all aware of the same unfortunately people these days are so engrossed in making money and building a good lifestyle that they often overlook the importance of values. At the age when children must be taught good values, they are taught to fight and survive in this competitive world. Their academics and performance in other activities are given importance over their values.

Parents, as well as teachers, teach them how to take on each other and win by any means instead of inculcating good sportsman spirit in them and teaching them values such as integrity, compassion, and patience. Children always look up to their elders as their role models and it is unfortunate that elders these days have a lack of values. Therefore the children learn the same.

Conclusion

In order to help him grow into a responsible and wise human being, it is important for people to realize that values must be given topmost priority in a child’s life because children are the future of the society. There can be nothing better in a society where a majority of people have good values and they follow the ethical norms.

“VALUES ARE LIKE FINGERPRINTS. NOBODY’S ARE THE SAME, BUT YOU LEAVE THEM ALL OVER EVERYTHING YOU DO.”

Harmful Effects of Junk Food

The term “junk” refers to something that should be discarded due to its negative consequences. Despite its negative consequences and low nutritional value, it is quite popular among the urban population. Junk food’s huge appeal is purely due to its flavour. Because the flavour is addicting, individuals consume it on a daily basis without recognising that these forms of junk food are destroying their health. We shall examine the impact of junk food and strategies to reduce it in this essay about the detrimental consequences of junk food in English.

13 Disadvantages Of Junk Foods - Boldsky.com

Below is a long article on the negative effects of junk food and a short essay on the bad effects of junk food to help you grasp the topic. You can compose an essay on this topic after going over the issues mentioned in the following essays and rephrasing them in your own words.

Short Harmful Effects of Junk Food Essay

In this short essay on harmful effects of junk food, a brief account of the impact of junk food on our health and how important it is to avoid junk food are discussed.

We are all aware that how we treat our bodies reflects the state of our minds and the way we live our lives. The food we eat has a direct impact on our mental state, therefore when we eat good and nutritious foods, we are happier, more happy, and more positive in life. Despite this, we do not take care of our bodies and eat junk food that damages them. Unfortunately, nowadays, children want everything to be provided promptly, and fast food meets this goal admirably.

Junk and fast food manufacturing is at an all-time high. The increased demand has resulted in an increase in supply. It contains very few nutrients and has little nutritional value. It’s oily, greasy, and high in fats and carbohydrates. Obesity and high blood pressure have increased as a result of the high calorie intake. It has also made the digestive system and appetite worse. When this is paired with today’s comfortable and sluggish lifestyle. It also leads to children’s insufficient growth and development. They are also more vulnerable to mental health disorders such as depression at a young age. Such intake has only negative consequences. When the world is trying to normalize conversations about such problems we should also be doing our bit in taking care of our health and life.

Long Harmful Effects of Junk Food Essay

It is critical to care for one’s body since it is our vehicle, the most crucial instrument that allows us to navigate through life and accomplish our everyday tasks. When we treat our bodies well, they respond with the same enthusiasm and resolve that we demand.

The first and most essential method to take care of our bodies is to exercise or work out in any manner, whether it’s yoga, pilates, functional training, or weight training. All of this will help us stay in shape. Even if we work out every day, we will not achieve our fitness goals if we do not eat correctly. The most essential trigger for living a healthy life is a decent diet.

A healthy diet comprises a decent mix of calories, fats, proteins, fibres, and nutritionally dense foods. All of these nutritional qualities may be found in foods such as green leafy vegetables, fruits, and rice for carbs. It is beneficial to both the body and the psyche.

Fast meals such as french fries, fried foods such as churros, pastries, pizzas, cookies, sweets, burgers, and chips are examples of junk foods. All of this has a high salt level, as well as cheese, sugar, and oils with little nutritious benefit. It is not a healthy source of nourishment and does not benefit our bodies in any manner.

It only satisfies our taste buds because all junk foods taste good. But we must realize, in order to satisfy the cravings of our tongue we are ruining our body and depriving it of a healthy lifestyle. This short-term fulfillment of mere cravings can have long-term impacts on our health, with life-threatening diseases that will leave a lasting negative impact on our bodies. It results in the following:-

  1. On the Brain and Mental Health – the sodium content in junk food leads to headaches which will help lose focus and motivation even for mundane tasks. The risk of depression and other mental illnesses increases with increased consumption of processed foods.
  2. On the Respiratory System – due to heavy and oily foods the children are consuming these days and leading a lazy lifestyle they are at high risks of shortness of breath and according to the studies it is also found that such children also suffer from asthma even to their adult and old age.
  3. On the Cardiovascular System – Cholesterol consumption blocks the blood flow to and from the heart because of the deposition of fats and leads to blood pressure-related issues. There is also the risk of premature heart diseases like heart failure, arrhythmia, etc. A weak heart results in many other bodily diseases due to improper and inadequate supply of blood to others.
  4. On the Digestive Tract – When such processed food is consumed it is very difficult to digest because our bodies are not designed to do so. When digestion is slowed, the metabolism also becomes slower and it results in weight gain and obesity. Other such problems are food poisoning, acid reflux, constipation, and indigestion and in severe cases may also lead to kidney failure.
  5. On the Skin – Processed food contains very high levels of sugar eventually leading to obesity. In such conditions, the blood sugar level also sees a spike and this causes the outbreak of acne in the skin and face.

Curbing the intake of Junk food:- It is important to have healthy food due to the aforementioned reasons but surely one is attracted to junk food regardless. In such a case we must reduce the intake of junk and processed foods and have it less often rather than making it a habit. Incorporating healthy food will allow you to have an active lifestyle and lead a fulfilling life. It will keep the heart in check, and energy levels will always soar high which is the optimal way of living.

Conclusion

Being mindful of your own health and the potentially negative effects that junk foods may have on our bodies can be quite beneficial. This insight will assist one in making healthier choices. A healthy workout is incomplete without a balanced meal, therefore it is critical to attend to the body’s demands while also satisfying your desires and taste preferences. Long-term consequences endure a lifetime and rob you of your childhood and youth, therefore it is never too late to begin a healthy diet for a better living.

Review – Think And Grow Rich Summary

No matter which book we start reading, the question is why do we read this book. Let me tell you the reason why you should read this book. This book is a blueprint for achieving your dream.

Book Name : Think And Grow Rich

Author Name : Napoleon Hill

Year of Publication : 1937

Author Napoleon Hill of this book. Like everyone else he had a desire to make a lot of money and succeed in life. He started looking for this through interviews as he is a journalist. He interviewing Andrew Carnegie, the World Richest Person of his time. In that interview Author notes some things. The mind set that a rich person can have is different than the mind set that a ordinary person can have. Especially the way they look at the time and their habits are very different. That interview was going well. Andrew Carnegie put a twist on that interview. He said to Author, “I arrange for you to interview the 500 Most Successful People in My Contact.” Author was shocked to hear this. Not only this but Andrew Carnegie says two conditions. Andrew Carnegie said, ” it will take at least 20 years to complete the interview of these 500 people and share what you have learned in that interview with people.” Having said this, Andrew Carnegie asks Napoleon Hill if you are ready for this challenge. Author thinks well and accepts the challenge. The result is the book Think And Grow Rich.

Now that you have some idea why you should read this book. This book is not just about 500 success stories, he has analyzed what he learned when he interviewed 500 people and prepared a 13-steps Success Formula. Author has indirectly tested this formula on 1000 people. Tested and incorporated as a case study in this book how this formula worked and what changes have taken place in their lives since they used this formula.

Let’s see what those 13 steps are.

1. Power of Thoughts

Only if you know what the power of your thoughts is can you control it and use it properly.

2. A Burning Desire

In the things you think you want to achieve, you have to have a frenzied desire.

3. Faith

No matter what happens. We must be confident that we can achieve what we started.

4. Auto Suggestion

It tells you how to reprogram your brain and drive it towards success. It is one of the method of reprogramming the brain.

5. Specialized Knowledge

Learning a subject well and implementing it and gaining knowledge from it or making money or making an impact in the community.

6. Power of Imagination

Only if you know what your imagination is capable of, can you use it for the right things on the right track.

7. Organized Planning

You need to plan what are the basic things you need to do to turn your dream into action.

8. Decision

You will face a lot of obstacles while working towards your goal.  In this chapter author talks about how to travel towards the goal only without letting it distract you then.

11. The Mystery of Transmutation of Sex

The most important things in existence is the sexual drive. It is used by most of the athletes and sports persons. In this chapter, author talks about how ordinary people use it properly and what is the advantage for us of using it.

13. The Brain

Only in this chapter will you achieve your goal. Now you know what state your brain is in and how you achieved your goal.

We briefly learned what those 13 steps that author said were. Author also offers two bonus steps. Let us now know what those two steps are.

* The Sixth Sense *

We have heard many people say gut feeling. We would have told ourselves also. A lot of people know it is wrong when we do a thing. Then in this chapter, author talks about whether or not you should follow your gut feeling.

* Fear *

Fear is an important factor that prevents us from achieving our goals. He explains in 6 points how to overcome that fear.

The 80/20 Principle (or) Pareto Principle

In this article I am going to tell you about some of the things I read in The 80-20 policy book and learned from it. Let’s start reading the article without wasting time.

Book Name : The 80/20 Principle

Author Name : Richard Koch

Year of Publication : 1999

Vilfredo Pareto was an Italian economist. He was studying Wealth Distribution and Income Generation about England in 1897. What he discovered while studying about it was that just over 20% of the population in the England owns 80% of the wealth. After discovering this, Pareto started studying a lot about it.

What he learned then was that this 80/20 principle was consistent across all time periods and in all countries. Looking deeper into this research, this principle is not only relevant to wealth. He discovered in a lot of other things it is related. He realized that 80% of the peas in his garden were only available from 20% of the plants.

Today we call this principle the 80/20 principle or the Pareto principle. We can apply this principle in all aspects of our lives such as business, health, study, relationship.

What this principle says is that 80% of the results we get are from the 20% of actions we take. In general, what we think is that we get a lot of results only if we do a lot of actions. But according to research it is wrong. Some good actions that we do give us 80% results. After discovering this principle, a lot of people researched whether it is compatible in all respects. In many respects this principle was then in perfect agreement.

Examples :

1. 20% of criminals are reason for 80% of crimes

2. 20% of drivers are reason for 80% of accidents

3. 20% of married couples are reason for 80% of divorce

4. 20% of roads are reason for 80% of traffic

5. 20% of clothes are wore by us for 80%

6. 20% of lands are reason for 80% of minerals

7. 20% of clouds are reason for 80% of rain

8. 20% of actors are reason for 80% of public attention

9. 20% of scientists are reason for 80% of inventions

10. 20% of book writers are reason for 80% of book sales.

How do we apply this 80/20 principle?

This principle does not teach us not to work. It teaches us to focus on the things that give us the most results.

1. The 80/20 Principle For Business

This principle was used extensively for business. Only then did they begin to apply this principle in all things. Business start-ups waste 80% of their time focusing on things they don’t need. For example, things like how the company logo should look like and how the website should look. All of these things are important. But these things alone do not impress people. First and foremost our ambition is to focus on developing the company’s products and services. Only then should we focus on other things like marketing and sales. Business people need to remember one important thing. Only 20% of our customers give us 80% profit. Similarly, only 20% of customers are 80% compliant. If we focus on these two types of 20% customers we will get 80% winning results.

2. The 80/20 Principle For Social Life and Happiness

Some of us will think. That we would be better off if we had a lot of friends. So let’s start spending time with a lot of friends. But all this is perfectly understandable. That we have wasted a lot of time. Thus we would not have focused on our important things. Whatever our mind set is, it would be better if we had more. But according to this principle 80% of Happiness and Fulfillment we get only from 20% of friends. So instead of spending time with a lot of friends, spend time with the 20% of friends that suit you. Focus on other things as well.

3. The 80/20 Principle For Studying

For example, suppose you have two friends. The first friend is studying from morning till night. The second friend just reads for 3-4 hours. But when it comes to results, only the second friend will get good results. Because the second friend is unknowingly following the 80/20 principle. He is following two things and using the 80/20 principle. What they are,

* Deciding what to read *

The first friend thinks he should read everything. Doing so will prevent him from remembering exactly what he reads. But the second friend will read the important ones first and read the rest if there is time left.

 * Deciding what time to read *

Humans cannot focus too much time on the same work. But since the first friend was studying from morning till night there is a lot of distraction during the break. Thus no matter how long he studies it will not be a quality study. The second friend reads only from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Focused on things that give freshness like walking while taking a break. Thus he can read with full attention without any distractions while reading.

Similarly, find that 20% in your work which gives you results. It gives double results in less time. Then you can use the rest of the time for other important work.

Review of THE 5 AM CLUB Book Summary

Book Name : THE 5 AM CLUB

Author Name : Robin Sharma

Year of Publication : 2018

By the time we turn off the alarm in the morning here and go to sleep, on the other hand the biggest World Class Business Leaders, Sports Persons, Entrepreneurs will be starting their day. They make some effort and do something special in their mornings. That’s why they are at the peak of their lives.

This book is very clear on what ordinary people like them need to do to make progress. Author Robin Sharma has written very clearly in this 5AM Club book what to do when you get up at 5am. In this article we are going to know the summary of this book. Let’s start reading.

In this book he talks about three things and divides those three things into several parts and wonders what is special about waking up at 5 p.m.

Those three things are,

1. Use 20/20/20 Formula

2. The Four Interior Empire

3. Habit Installation Protocol

1. Use 20/20/20 Formula

Author says our first hour after waking up in the morning is the Most Worth and Important Hour. He calls this hour “Victory Hour.” This hour can be divided into three parts.

  •  Move
  •  Reflect
  •  Grow

*Move*

For the first 20 minutes we need to exercise. I.e. High Intensity Workout. Doing so is our Energy and Focus Increase. Scientifically speaking, there is a chemical release in our brain called BDNF. BDNF stands for Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor. This will increase our focus and reduce the stress level. In addition, the newest neural connections in the brain is Increase. So it will be very helpful to increase our focus and thinking power.

*Reflect*

Reflect for the next 20 minutes. In this step we need to isolate ourselves and get to know ourselves. Then we need to plan what we want to do on this day. Doing so will keep our focus on our work without becoming distracted. So we will be busy whole day. We can stay away from unnecessary distractions. During these 20 minutes we can meditate or pray. Doing so will give us a clarity on our lives. This will be very helpful in taking the right decision for the whole day.

*Grow*

Finally grow in the last 20 minutes. That means gain Knowledge. We can read books that may be in our field. Otherwise read the biographies of the great men. That too can be done by listening to audio books or watching motivational videos. We must keep doing something every day to develop our knowledge. By doing this we will be much more advanced compared to our competitors.

2. The Four Interior Empire

We must spend our precious time equally on these four things if we are to be happy in our lives. What they are,

  • Mind Set
  • Heart Set
  • Health Set
  • Soul Set

*Mind Set*

We can learn many things to improve our mind set by watching motivational videos, podcasts and using the strategies that can be told in it. But by doing so we can only achieve 25% of our goal.

*Heart Set*

It is connected with our emotional life. We can not make the right decision just because our mind set is strong. We also need to be strong in our emotional lives. Emotional life is the connection that friends, family, relatives can have with them like this. Only if we are strong in emotion will it be easy for us to make any decision in our life.

*Health Set*

No matter how much money and property we have, if our physical health is not good it is all waste. Health is essential to providing a legacy for those who depend on us after we die.

“You cannot make a good business if you are dead.”

That is why world top successful people place importance on their health.

*Soul Set*

This is something very important. In our lives we are running after unwanted material thoughts. In this running we forget who we are. We have completely forgotten what we need in our lives to be happy. The only way author says to improvise the Soul Set is through meditation and prayer.

3. Habit Installation Protocol

Our Author says in this book that we need 66 days to accept a habit. He has divided this into three stages.

  • Destruction Phase
  • Installation Phase
  • Integration Phase

*Destruction Phase*

At this stage first 22 days one has to destroy a bad habit and implement a good habit. This is the most difficult part of all three stages. Our will power must be very high to do this. We need to keep motivating ourselves over and over again.

*Installation Phase*

The next 22 days will be totally irritating for us. Thought appear that this is why we need to do this. The thought appears that we can leave this. But we should not quit there. We have to go through those 22 days somehow to boost our self-confidence.

*Integration Phase*

This will make it easier for all of us. After this we do not need an alarm to wake up at 5am. Looking at the next one we get to the point where we can tell why these people are sleeping so long.

HOW TO CELEBRATE EAH DAY?

CELEBRATE EACH DAY

The only way to celebrate each day is we need to live each day to the fullest. It shows the beauty of fleeting, changing and imperfect nature of the world. Instead of searching beauty in perfection, try to find beauty in yourselves.

THIS MOMENT WON’T COME AGAIN. This is cent per cent true statement. Whether we like or not, agree or disagree some kinds of changes is going to happen around us and that is unstoppable. Talk with strangers, travel around the world, live the moment.

Here are some inspirational statement which can eventually change your mindset.

1. DON’T WORRY

The secret to live longer is not to get worried about things. Always keep your heart young. Don’t make it old. Open your heart with the nice smile. Smiling at opposite party makes them feel good on you. Everyone has a problem, the theme is how we are going to face it with plans. There is no way to stop it. Spending tie together with like minded people or with family and friends is the only thing which you can have fun.

2. CULTIVATE GOOD HABITS

Wakeup at six in the morning. Spend time in your garden, relax, keep your mind and heart stable by getting the fresh air. Avoiding screen on your mobile or lap screen for the first one hour of your day. The key to stay sharp in older age is your fingers. If your fingers are busy, you will live to see your one hundred.

Get some energy, have tea or coffee, stretch your arms, eat a bit and that is the secret of staying healthy in the morning times. Work a lot, If you don’t do that your body is not fit.

So, celebrate your mornings with exercise and fun. If your mornings are good, your day will absolutely fit your schedule.

3. NUTURE YOUR FRIENDSHIPS

Getting together with friends makes your time stable with happiness. Make your hobby with friends and neighbors. Taking each day with people whom you love a lot make you feel blessed and that is the way of the happy life. Celebrate the things that are behind you.

Getting together with people, socializing yourself, making your time happily are some of the secrets of the longest life.

4. RELAX

Don’t live in a hurry life. RELAX yourself, you still have time to do great things. Nothing is too late. You always live longer when you are not in a hurry. Do many things with interest, learn something new this will make you to adapt the new environment.

Make always busy with a thing which you thought to do, but don’t get stressed.

5. BE OPTIMISTIC

Every day is precious and powerful. Live it to the fullest. A laugh everyday, because laughter is the best medicine. An Interview was taken to the ninety eight years old man for what is his secret for living longer? He replied that he considers himself as young and the old man has much more things to do. How good is to hear such kind of answers from them. And why not we?

The most important thing is always to have a smile on your face. There is nothing more than to celebrate each day. This is a trick, just play it.

HOW TO FACE CHALLENGES WITHOUT STRESS?

  RESILENCE

                      (IKIGAI REVIEW)

HOW TO FACE LIFE’S CHALLENGES WITHOUT LETTING STRESS AND WORRY YOUR AGE?

The thing Ikigai says is to pursue your passionhow hard the life goes with hurdles. No matter of giving up. Resilience is the concept which has become influential among psychologists. It is the ability to setback, things without urgency, to pick ourselves and giving meaning to our lives.

Some people know how to adapt, stay focused on certain objectives, concentrate on things they can’t control and they are called as the resilient people. At some point of life, we all need to face the hurdles, we can’t escape the situations, so proper training for mind and body is to be given. Resilience is essential to confront life’s ups and downs.

FALL SEVEN TIMES, RISE EIGHT.

EMOTIONAL RESILENCE THROUGH BUDDHISM AND STOICISM

The goal is to control our emotions, pleasures and desires. Though the both of the philosophies are different, both aims is to get rid of ego and control negative emotions. Our pleasures and desires are not the problem, we can enjoy and control them as they don’t take control of us. Controlling emotions have been always watchful who are trying to control themselves.

Imagining negative things and not worrying about them. As a result, you will come to the mindset of what the worst thing would happen?

MEDITATING FOR HEALTHIER EMOTIONS

Another central theme of Stoicism is Imagining and knowing what we can control and what we can’t? Through serenity prayer.

Most commonly used mantras in Buddhism for controlling negative emotions is OM MANI PADME HUM in which OM represents ego purification, MA purifies jealously, NI purifies passion and desire, PAD purifies bias, ME purifies greed and HUM is the wisdom that purifies hatred.

CONCLUSION

Both Buddhism and Stoicism convey the message that there is nothing about worrying, but we can control  our emotions. Go through and just appreciate things because it is just NOW. The temporary things which are the impermanent ones. Keep your mind the best one to see the flow.

Confliction of one's mind

We all are well aware of the different conflicts in our minds. They arrive like impatient thunderstorms,  one right after the other. The times when there’s isn’t any hope to hold onto, we may thrive by words that might explain our mental states. Although, we often fail to do so and start drowning ourselves into the darkest depths of nothingness.

One thing that never gets old in such situations is writing down your rough thoughts somewhere away from the eyes of anyone, and reading it later at a better stage or when you start feeling yourself again.

WAYS TO CLEAR YOUR MIND

In a generation where social status depicts one’s nature and affects their state of mind, we often find ourselves getting lost in the world which we created for others to see us like. We should be capable of creating a difference between what’s imaginary and real, that not only helps us stay sane but provides a boundary to the inevitable confusions.

When we invariably replay a situation and can’t stop thinking about it, or think how we messed up; the more we delve into it the more that situation seems to tighten the blank spaces in our mind and start congesting it.

It’s normal to get stuck in the past and have a lot many things playing in your mind at the same time, our mind has a tendency to work funnily.

Instead of putting yourself in a self-inflicting pain, try performing the enlisted activities which will probably distract the course of your mind for the time being:

  • reconnect with an old friend
  • play and spend time with your pet
  • don’t force yourself to be productive
  • go easy on yourself and do some pampering
  • cook yourself an elaborate meal
  • watch youtube, movies and listen to an upbeat music
  • take a long drive to nowhere
  • take a walk in nature
  • go out with a friend and hangout
SELF VALIDATION

We are forced to put ourselves in a position where it’s tough to concentrate on peace of mind, by comparing ourselves to the person who is superior to us. But we need to understand the concept of self-satisfaction and being content in what we already have.
We should stop comparing ourselves to others because we are unaware of the life that they have behind the scenes, or away from the eyes of the world. It’s natural to get inferiority complexes but that shouldn’t mess with one’s mind.
The positive motivation or the rush and drag to push ourselves to a better position is healthy, but if it makes one sulk and questions their existence then it won’t take long into turning toxic and harmful for the mental peace.
You have had enough of the taunts and opinions that society has for you, you don’t have to necessarily add yours to it too. If not others, make yourself so focused and proud in what you do that even your conflictions think twice to reoccur in your mind.
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”
― Bernard M. Baruch

GRATITUDE

Gratitude is a wonderful method to improve our life. It refers to the feeling and attitude of gratitude and appreciation for all that we have in life. It has been scientifically shown that expressing gratitude to others makes us feel happier and calmer. As a result, it allows kindness into our lives. It makes you pleased, for example, when a stranger holds the door for you or greets you.

Gratitude, in layman’s terms, is the trait of showing gratitude to someone for an act of compassion or assistance. It’s the same trait that makes you remember someone’s kindness to you and makes you want to repay the favour. If you have a strong want to repay someone who has aided you, this desire is nothing more than appreciation. Only gratitude motivates you to express thanks or write a thank you note to your teacher.

Why is it Important To Express Gratitude To Your Parents?

Feeling grateful has many benefits for your body, mind, and relationships, according to Robert Emmons, a world-renowned scientist and authority on the issue of gratitude. You must understand that when you were a child, your parents were the closest people to you and the ones with whom you spent the most time. This may not apply to everyone, but it does to the vast majority of individuals.

Kindness and success both begin at home. Another thing to keep in mind is that you, too, will become a parent at some point. As a result, how you treat your parents will have an effect on your relationship with your children. If you are grateful for your parents and always express gratitude for the good they have brought into your life, you will feel the same way when you become a parent.

How to Make Gratitude a Habit:

Gratitude can be practiced in a variety of ways, including:

1.Make a daily list of all the nice things that happen to you and who is responsible for them.

2.Make plans to repay the favour at a later date.

3.Recognize the value of everything around us, including nature, animals, and plants.

4.When feasible, express gratitude to various community helpers such as the washerman, gardener, policemen, sweepers, and others.

5.Every day as you wake up, thank God for such a beautiful day.

We are the people of power

And we rise up to a tower

We belong to one brand

Moving hand in hand

We are still standing

On our own understanding

We do follow different trends

But we are all good friends

We always share

Because we care

We are from different stations

But belong to one nation

For our failures, we don’t cry

But we always make a try

We have no fear

Because we are crystal clear

We are happy citizens

We are Indian citizens

ENJOY LIFE AS IT IS SHORT

                                                                                                 – ANGELIN DIANA. G

A Cupful of Coffee

And Mindful of Thoughts..

Sweet dreams for the nights

And Cool creams for the teeth at mornings..

Frozen breeze for Shivering

And hot sun for Sweating..

We achieve in dreams

And we arrange in life..

Caring for others in life

And daring for our self..

Crying for the failures

But trying for the next..

Life full of up and downs

But thrill of lessons…..

KEEP SMILING ALWAYS ☺☺..

POSITIVE THINKING

Positive thinking is a mental attitude in which thoughts, words, and images that promote growth, expansion, and success are admitted into the mind. It’s a mindset that anticipates positive outcomes. Happiness, joy, health, and a favourable outcome of every event and deed are all predicted by a positive thinking. The mind discovers whatever it is looking for. Positive thinking isn’t universally accepted or believed. Some dismiss the topic as gibberish, while others mock those who believe it. Few people accept it, and even fewer know how to put it to good use. Nonetheless, as indicated by the numerous books, talks, and courses available on the subject, it appears that many people are getting interested in it.

When someone is feeling depressed and anxious, it is typical to hear someone advice, “Think optimistic.” The majority of people don’t take these terms seriously because they don’t understand what they mean or don’t think they’re beneficial or effective. How many people do you know who pause to consider the significance of positive thinking? As a result, the first step is to adopt a positive mindset. The first and most important step we must take is to think positively. We will be useless and worthless if we do not engage in positive thinking. When we begin something, we must believe that we will achieve success and be worthy of our efforts. And, even in the face of adversity, we should remain optimistic (think about our goal, that we must reach it). Then examine the outcome to see if it is superior to the norm. Consider what happens if we work on something without thinking positively. We will experience the “pain” of the process, and the end result will be worse than we anticipated.

Positive emotions like joy, satisfaction, and love clear the way for us to see greater possibilities in our lives. Positive emotions provide the greatest advantage in that they allow a person to recognize and develop his or her genuine abilities for later use. We feel pleasurable and joyful when we maintain a good attitude. It has a direct impact on our health and supplies us with an abundance of nutrients. It improves the way we talk, feel, and react in everyday situations. A negative person is prone to be narrow-minded and fixated on negative thoughts, causing problems in their lives. Positive thinking is not difficult to achieve if one makes a consistent and conscientious effort. Someone’s words, thoughts, or feelings may also affect us automatically and subconsciously. Positive thinking is a 99 percent effective way of living. Positive people are more trustworthy and helpful, therefore people like to associate with them. To employ this weapon in life, a person must know more than just that it exists. In whatever he does, he needs to maintain a positive attitude.

How to Apply Positive Thinking?

1. Use positive words while talking

2.Make use of terms that conjure up images of strength and achievement.

3.Shift your focus.

4.Remove all negative emotions and thoughts, and concentrate on happy ones.

5.Use affirmations that are positive.

6.Begin to believe that you will achieve your goals.

7.Allow yourself to forgive yourself and go forward.

8.Examine what went wrong to prevent making the same mistakes in the future, and look forward to a brighter future.

9.To increase positivity and motivation, work on your visualization or imagination.

10.Consider failure to be a chance to learn something new.

11.Practicing thankfulness can help you relax, boost your self-esteem, and stay resilient when things get tough.

12.Practice positive self-talk and be aware of your inner voice.

How to Maintain a Positive Attitude?

It’s important to keep a good attitude amid a deeply upsetting event or grievance, and it’s also important to relieve yourself of the burden of finding the silver lining. Instead, focus your efforts on obtaining adequate support from others. Positive thinking does not imply concealing unpleasant thoughts to avoid conflicting emotions, but rather motivating oneself to move forward and accomplish positive changes. When you’re going through a difficult period, comfort yourself by giving yourself excellent counsel, acknowledging your feelings, and reminding yourself how strong you are to fight and overcome.

How to break a Stubborn Bad Habit?

Habits are very important part of our life since they have been the daily activities of our life for years. So, their effects build over time for better or for worse. They tend to impact our health and well-being. So this is the time to stop bad habits if you have any.

Although breaking a habit is not always easy, Here are a few things which worked out for me and many others.

 AWARENESS IS IMPORTANT

Accept that you have a habit that is not working with you. There is no need to be harsh without yourself, simply acknowledge it and give yourself permission to start working to break it.

MAKE A PLAN

First of all, habits won’t leave us in a single a day, it takes time and effort and eventually you will see the results. So make a plan on ‘how to get rid of it’. Focus on the short-term and then extend it to long-term.

KEEP YOURSELF BUSY

The old habits can be on our minds when we are idle. If you keep yourself busy, it can make the process super easy, because you have a lot to get done and a lot to think about. So, distract yourself with pleasant and fun tasks.

DON’T GIVE UP

Sometimes, we may give-in to our habits without our conscious, it is human nature , so don’t beat yourself up if you have a setback. Acknowledge the mistake you made and go back to your plan and keep pushing yourself to do better and avoid committing the mistake in future.

GIVE IT TIME

There will always be a certain dis-comfort when we are trying to change our old-ways since they have engrained in our minds for a long time but this will pass quickly. Remind yourself that the situations will improve soon enough and you will become the best version of yourself.

CO-EDUCATION

Co-education refers to the education of both boys and girls at the same time. This system has been used by some of our colleges in recent years. This system is favoured by some. This approach, they claim, is quite beneficial. As a result, co-education should be implemented, and existing universities and schools should be made accessible to girls.

Co-education supporters also claim that this system will allow young men and women to become closer and more understanding of one another. This would be extremely beneficial to them in the future. It would also be beneficial to the country’s development. Another argument is that co-education would enhance educational standards by encouraging rivalry between boys and girls.

However, no evidence backs up any of these statements. The educational system as a whole is overworked. Also congested are the girl’s schools and colleges. It is necessary to build hundreds of new educational institutions. The government would not incur any additional costs if some of these were set aside for girls.

Co-education encourages boys and girls to be tolerant of and appreciative of each other’s competitions. It prepares kids to face life’s realities. Education, in its true sense, is more than just learning from books; it is a continuous process of learning more from our surroundings, society, and changing circumstances. It has been recognised that men and women contribute equally in every sphere of society as new vistas of study and professional options have opened up. As a result, there should be no hesitancy in confronting one another; instead, it is preferable to settle any situation with equal effort. This educational approach generates a beautiful mutual understanding in this way.

Advantages of Co-education:

Co-education has numerous advantages. The first is that they provide a wide range of educational opportunities. This is beneficial to kids who want to attend that school. Furthermore, pupils who are exposed to diversity at an early age find it simpler to adjust to a variety of different surroundings.

It also teaches children equality because the teachers treat all students equally. Students compete in all competitions in an equitable and nondiscriminatory manner. It also encourages socialisation by encouraging coexistence.

Because co-educational schools provide a healthy environment for both sexes, students can prepare for the real world in advance. As students connect with everyone, it also develops their communication abilities.

In these schools, students also learn to respect one another and develop self-esteem. Most importantly, these institutes assist pupils in overcoming their apprehensions about the other gender. As they learn in a nice environment together, it helps them overcome their fear of talking to people of the opposite sex.

Disadvantages of co-education:

Lack of attention is one of the most significant downsides of co-education. Because opposite-sex attracts opposite-sex, pupils tend to lose their rage and focus on their schoolwork. Another issue that is frequently observed in co-educational institutions is sexual harassment perpetrated by students.

Conclusion:

To summarize, Co-education is an excellent system that helps students in almost every part of their lives. It is beneficial to children’s overall development since it eliminates the anxiety of interacting with people of the opposite gender. As a result, it prepares them for a world where they will be able to function in a diverse setting with ease. Co-education helps youngsters prepare for life in the real world. In different places and nations, the proportion of mixed gender and single gender schools varies. People, on the other hand, perceive co-education as a sign of a progressive culture. However, both a co-educational and a single-gender school system have advantages. It’s beneficial to provide an option so that individuals can select one based on their unique tastes.

PROCRASTINATION

Procrastination is one of the most significant roadblocks to waking up, making the proper decisions, and living the life you’ve imagined.

According to recent studies, people regret the things they haven’t done more than the things they have done. Furthermore, regret and guilt associated with squandered opportunities tend to linger considerably longer. All of our opportunities appear to be at our fingertips at times, but we can’t seem to get to them. When you procrastinate, you are wasting time that could be spent on something more productive. If you can defeat this formidable foe, you will be able to achieve more and better harness the potential that life has to offer.

We already know that today’s world encourages procrastination, making understanding how to fight it one of the most valuable skills you can acquire. As a result, procrastination is the polar opposite of punctuality. A punctual person accomplishes what has to be done exactly when it needs to be done; a dilatory person never does anything when it needs to be done, preferring to postpone it until tomorrow, next week, or next year. If procrastination is not firmly checked, it quickly develops into a poor habit, making punctual performance of everyday responsibilities impossible. It could be due to simple laziness and a reluctance to work when it is inconvenient, or it could be due to the delusion that there will be enough time in the future to do all of our tasks.

How can you overcome procrastination?

Stop being so pessimistic: People delay for a variety of reasons, one of which is that they catastrophize, or make a big deal out of a minor issue. The underlying idea is that executing the activity will be “unbearable.” It could be related to how difficult, boring, or painful it will be to do the task. Challenges, monotony, and hard labour, in actuality, will not kill you, nor will they make you sick. Procrastination, on the other hand, is linked to stress—imagine how stressed you are when you put off making a phone call you know you need to make. Put things in perspective: “This isn’t my favourite task, but I’ll finish it.”

Concentrate on your “why”: Procrastinators are more concerned with short-term rewards (avoiding the task’s unpleasantness) than with long-term outcomes (the stress of not doing it, as well as the consequences of avoiding this task). Instead, concentrate on why you are performing this task: What are the advantages to finishing it? Imagine how good it will feel to go into a decluttered closet if you’ve been putting off clearing it out.

Keep your expectations in check: Set yourself up for success as you create your schedule. Projects can take far longer than anticipated, so plan ahead. Also, search for ways to make your life easier: If you’re not a morning person, don’t expect to get up an hour earlier to begin a fitness regimen you’ve been putting off for months. That exercise might be better scheduled during lunch or before dinner.

Chunk it: When a task appears to be too demanding, procrastination is common. So, how do you divide that project down into smaller, more manageable chunks? If you want to write a book, for example, you could prepare an outline, identify each chapter, determine the portions inside each chapter, and then commit to writing one segment at a time. Things will make you feel less overwhelmed and more empowered if you break it down like this.

Optimize your environment: Your surroundings can either help or hurt your productivity. Keep an eye out for technology that keeps pinging to let you know someone has contacted you, such as your email or messenger. Procrastination can be caused by social media, internet “research” that takes you off course, and phone calls.

Forgive yourself: Stop berating yourself for the mistakes you’ve made in the past. Things will only get worse if you think things like “I should have begun sooner” or “I always procrastinate; I am such a failure.” According to research, forgiving yourself for past procrastination can help you stop procrastinating on a task. You can also try to capitalise on previous procrastination. How? Determine what caused your avoidance—fear, stress, a lack of understanding of how to move forward, a lack of accountability, and so on. Then, in the present and future, confront those difficulties

Overcome Demotivation and Restlessness

Feeling demotivated , restless and anxious is not pleasant. It can make it more difficult for you to work , to be creative and to feel better.

Sometimes, our lack of motivation has a clear root. Identifying it can help us address it and reduce the feelings of restlessness. Here are few strategies that will help you overcome this and create a optimistic and productive mindset.

TAKE A BREAK

Sometimes, restlessness comes from too much work or too much routine. Our brain needs a bit of rest and novelty. Take a break without worrying too much about problems and you will come back energized and ready to take on the situation

DO HANDS-ON WORK

Often, we tend to get too stuck on our digital devices or too caught up in our heads. Instead, go and do something that involves interacting with real world. Clean a room, Organize your desk, water the plants or do some gardening.

SCHEDULE SOMETHING FUN

A common reason for the lack if motivation us the feeling that our day is going to be dull and unpleasant. You can address it by scheduling something fun for later. Once you’re done with work, you will know that there is something truly enjoyable waiting for you and this can help you focus more on work and not on procrastination and give your day a sense of meaning.

SELF-CARE

Check to make sure you have eaten or grab a snack. Drink enough. Take a nap or lie down, if possible. Move your body. Do something that helps you feel good, even if it’s just writing for few minutes, having a favorite snack or meditating for a while. Check with your body and see what you need at the moment.

SET A DEADLINE

Work and chores tend to occupy as much time as we give them. If you have a whole day to finish a task, it might take you a whole day. If you have two hours, you will finish in those two hours. A good tip to reduce restlessness is set a deadline that will push you to start acting now. It will help you get into action right away. However, to respect the deadline you set for yourself and stop working when you said you would.
