The world’s giant tech company Google has now tightened its grip on those who earn from YouTube content. Lately, there’s been an increase in the no. of Indian YouTube content creators, be it beauty channels, educational channels, or entertainment channels. These channels receive large no. of views and subscribers not only from Indian but or also foreign viewers.

Becoming a YouTube influencer with large no. of subscribers has become an alternate career for many people and a good source of income too. Up until now there was no rule to pay any taxes for youtubers.

Now, Google has announced that it will collect 24 to 30 per cent tax every month from the makers of YouTube in other countries of the world, including India. The tax will be on the income generated by the American people viewing YouTube content.

Google warned in an e-mail, “As of May 31, 2021, if you tube creators do not provide their tax information, then 24 percent of the total income from the content will be deducted as tax. According to the new rule, tax will be deducted from people earning from YouTube every month.
The deduction of tax from the income of YouTube content creators will depend on certain factors. External creators apart from the US will have to give their information related to tax, then the content viewed by the American people can be taxed at the rate of 0 to 30 percent.
In such a situation, where you create such content which most of the people who see it are in America, then you will have to get ready for tax deduction. If there is a tax relief treaty between the US government and the government of the country of the relevant YouTuber, then it will also be applicable and will have to pay less tax.
Google’s tax arithmetic on YouTube can be understood as follows-
-If you did not share tax related information: 24% tax on worldwide income for the month
-If you hand over tax-related papers and are eligible for tax treaty benefits: 15% tax every month from income from American visitors
-Tax reported but not eligible for tax treaty benefits: A tax of 30 per cent will have to be paid every month from the total income from American visitors.

Facial recognition technology and how its affecting us.

Technology, evolving everyday getting smarter and smarter in order to ease our daily lives. One such technology is the facial recognition technology. It is the not only a hot brand on the tech market but also on the television front, it has been showcased in Tv shows and movies for years. Like any other technology it grows sophisticatedly and its usage has also expanded accordingly. These sensors have been upgraded to such a level that they can uniquely identify not just faces or animals but every individual fish that it can scans. That is the level of sophistication the facial recognition technology has achieved, but with its expanse it also brings about numerous privacy and civil liberty issues that need to be addressed. The biggest users of this technology worldwide are the Law enforcement departments. The use of this is so blatant that in an estimate around one in every two American has had their photos searched in this manner. Whenever this issue is raised not just in America but in any of the countries that this is so widely used, the authorities use the “we want to prevent atrocities” line, which would be sufficient if it did not come at the price of personal freedom.

They use a project called “Skynet” to monitor nearly every person’s movement, which includes whom you meet, where you go and even track all your movement for the past week. What makes this technology even worse is that even though it is still being used it is still a work in progress, which means its error rate is very high with only a measly 20% success rate. With all of these concerns, a public domain company Clearview.ai has launched its services. To put this into perspective, Clearview.ai has collected data from nearly 3 billion images, which to this date is larger than any other facial recognition database on this planet. The founder Hoan Ton-That has scrapped photos from nearly all publicly available domains, and has become a front runner in the worst possible way. With their below the belt techniques and illegal means of acquiring photos of people, the company has also received cease-and-desist order from Facebook, YouTube and twitter this year. However, they have refused to do so and in fact even going so far as to claim that they have a first amendment right to harvest data, which is completely false. What is of a greater concern is that Hoan has previously developed apps like ViddyHo which tricked its users into sharing their emails and then spammed their contacts. Not only this but since its emergence Clearview.ai has tried to pitch itself to white supremacist candidates to ensure their victory. They have even quietly tried to offer their services to entities in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates who have had a history of human rights violations. With such a large freehand to companies like Clearview.ai we seem to be headed to some dark times indeed.

What could be done to limit these companies are stringent laws to be placed so that companies are required to acquire permission from the person they are collecting data from. We individually cannot do much for this however with a comprehensive nation-wide policy some measure can be taken to ease the illegal flow of information that companies like Clearview.ai seem to obtain.

Getting infected with a viral fever is far more complicated than becoming viral. Imagining today’s reality is unimaginable. Is this a topic that became viral after people started to speak about it or people used to speak after it became a viral?Youtuber wants to be in news. He doesn’t speak about something rather he picks the same thing that is news. He talks about the news in order make the news and eventually become the news i.e Takes the news,talks the news,make the news and become the news. The New always make a way to the News.

Talking about things is easier than taking the things. Speakers aren’t good listeners since listeners aren’t good speakers. Once a speaker,he always will be a speaker but listeners evolve to be speakers. Always be a good listener in order to become a good speaker. A speaker will not be a good speaker until he is a good listener.

It is easy to identify a good speaker in Youtube because tiktokers never speak(they only enact the sayings).A good youtuber don’t make good stuff,what ever they make becomes good stuff. The topic is never good,but it becomes good. He doesn’t make it good,but it becomes good.A good youtuber isn’t good as he talks good but he behaves good or appear to be good. Some youtubers talk about bad and appear to be good. Talking about bad in a bad way don’t make them good because it is the only way that projects them as good and we are blind enough to be blind. As bad spreads fast doesn’t mean good is slow enough to reach. Both reach in the same manner but good is not remembered and bad is not forgotten.
Tiktokers make us believe nothing because we spend no time with them. The time we spent while watching it doesn’t let us think. It even doesn’t allow us to make a choice to watch it or not because it makes us to watch it before we skip to the next. It doesn’t make tiktokers mindless as we use mind a less and you too better mind less about the mindless in order to make this as issue and become a mindless.
We can control the mind while watching YouTube and there is no need to mind about our mind while using TikTok. Therefore both platforms are just like the platforms that we are used just to stand . Remember Railway platforms don’t make us stand ,pair of legs does. Similarly online platforms don’t make us they support us.

Who is wrong is it Carry minati or Faisu Khan?People are behind these people not because of them because of the platform they like. This had turned into a war between online platforms and making it as roadside platform issue. They both tried to get attention from the ends. TIKTOK users had succeeded in deleting the youtube video and in turn youtube users had succeeded in the declination of TikTok ratings. Whom does this benefit? Only for the people like me who got something to write about something and make something out if it.
