MENTAL HEALTH AND LEARNING

Mental health refers to the emotional well being of a person. it is often viewed as an adult issue, but in fact, almost half of adolescents in the united states are affected by mental disorders and about 20% of these are categorized as ”severe”. mental health issuses can pose a huge problem of students in terms of academic and social success in social. education systems around the world treat this topic differently, both directly through official policies and indirectly through cultural views on mental health and well being. these curriculums are in place to effectively identify mental health disorders and treat it using therapy, medication, or other tools of alleviation.

CONSEQUENCES OF MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES:

Mental health problems can affect many areas of student’s lives, reducing their quality of life, academic acheivement, physical health and satisfaction with the collage experience and negatively impacting relationships with friends and family members. these isssues can also have long term consequence for students, affecting their future employment, earning potential, and overall health. mental health problems can affect a student’s energy level, concentration, dependability, mental ability, and optimism, hindering performance. research suggests that depression is associated with lower grade point averages, and that co-occuring depression and anxiety can increase this association. depression has also been linked to dropping out of school. many collage students report that mental health difficulties interfere with their studies. on the american collage health association 2015 survey collage students identified the following mental health issues as negatively impacting their academic performance within the last 12 months. depression and anxiety can have harmful effects on relationships and work productively. suicide and suicidal thoughts can affect the larger campus community. poor students retention can mean losses in tution, fees, and alumni donations.

CAUSES AND SYMPTOMS OF MENTAL HEALTH

There is no single cause for mental health disorders; instead they can be caused by a mixture of biological psychological and environmental factors. people who have a family history of mental health disorders may be more prone to developing one at some point. changes in brain chemistry from substance abuse or changes in diet can also cause mental disorders. pshychological factors and environmental factors such as upbringing and social exposure can form the foundations for harmful thought patterns associated with mental disorders. only a certified mental health professional can provide an accurate diagnosis of the causes of a given disorder.

EMOTIONAL SYMPTOMS OF MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS

Mental health problems can cause a wide variety of emotional symtoms, some of which include:

PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS OF MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS:

Mental health problems typically do not cause physical symptoms in and of themselves. depression, however, can indirectly cause weight loss, fatigue and loss libido, amoung others. eating disorders a seperate class of mental health disorders, can cause malnutrition, weight loss, amenorrhea in women, or electrolyte imbalances caused by self induced vomiting. this makes eating disorders amoung the most deadly of mental health disorders.

Flavors of Unix

Unix is not a single operating system. It is in fact a general name given to dozens of o.s. by different companies, organizations or groups of individuals. These variants of unix are referred to as flavors. Although based on the same core set of unix commands, different flavors can have their own unique commands and features, and are designed to work with different types of h/w. Linux is often considered a unix flavor.

Among the ways in which the various flavors of UNIX differ are (1) fundamental design, (2) commands and features, (3) the hardware platform(s) (i.e., processors) for which they are intended and (4) whether they are proprietary software (i.e., commercial software) or free software (i.e., software that anyone can obtain at no cost and use for any desired
purpose).

Linux :
The most popular and fastest growing of all the Unix-like operating systems. It is developed by Linus Torvalds, Linux is a product that mimics the form and function of a UNIX system, but is not derived from licensed source code. Rather, it was developed independently; by a group of developers in an informal alliance on the net. A major benefit is that the source code is freely available (under the GNU copyleft), enabling the technically astute to alter and amend the system; it also means that there are many, freely available, utilities and specialist drivers available on the net. Linux is a registered trademark of Linus Torvalds. Recent versions of Glibc include much functionality from the Single UNIX Specification, Version 2 (for UNIX 98) and later.

FreeBSD :
The most popular of the BSD systems (all of which are direct descendants of BSD UNIX, which was developed at the University of California at Berkeley). BSDI is an independent company that markets products derived from the Berkeley Systems Distribution (BSD), developed at the University of California at Berkeley in the 60’s and 70’s. It is the operating
system of choice for many Internet service providers. It is, as with Linux, not a registered. UNIX system, though in this case there is a common code heritage if one looks far enough back in history.

IBM :
IBM has been quietly working on its mainframe operating system (formerly MVS) to add open interfaces for some years. In September 1996, The Open Group announced that OS/390 had been awarded the X/Open UNIX brand, enabling IBM to identify its premier operating system to be marked UNIX 95. This is a significant event as OS/390 is the first product to guarantee conformance to the Single UNIX Specification, and therefore to carry the label UNIX 95, that is not derived from the AT&T/ SCO source code.

NetBSD :
NetBSD is a free, fast, secure, and highly portable Unix-like Open Source operating system. It is available for a wide range of platforms, from large-scale servers and powerful desktop systems to handheld and embedded devices. Features the ability to run on more than 50 platforms, ranging from acorn26 to x68k

OpenBSD :
The OpenBSD project produces a FREE, multi-platform 4.4BSD-based UNIX-like operating system. Our efforts emphasize portability, standardization, correctness, proactive security and integrated cryptography. As an example of the effect
OpenBSD has, the popular OpenSSH software comes from OpenBSD. It May have already attained its goal of becoming the most secure of all computer operating systems.

Darwin :
Darwin is an open-source Unix-like operating system first released by Apple Inc. in 2000. It is composed of code developed by Apple, as well as code derived from NeXTSTEP, BSD, Mach, and other free software projects The new version of BSD that serves as the core for the Mac OS X

Many of the proprietary flavors have been designed to run only (or mainly) on proprietary hardware sold by the same company that has developed them. Examples include:

  • AIX – developed by IBM for use on its mainframe computers
  • BSD/OS – a commercial version of BSD developed by Wind River for Intel processors
  • HP-UX – developed by Hewlett-Packard for its HP 9000 series of business servers
  • IRIX – developed by SGI for applications that use 3-D visualization and virtual reality
  • QNX – a real time operating system developed by QNX Software Systems primarily for use in embedded systems
  • Solaris – developed by Sun Microsystems for the SPARC platform and the most widely used proprietary flavor for web servers
  • Tru64 – developed by Compaq for the Alpha processor

A drop of water worths like a gold coin to a thirsty person

Water is the basis for life.It is very essential to conserve water and to protect water from being polluted.Water conservation is the practice of using water efficiently to reduce unnecessary water usage. Water conservation is important because fresh clean water is a limited resource, as well as a costly one.

Watershed management is the comprehensive method to conserve water not only during heavy rains when rivers and tanks are overflowing but also during dry season when they are devoid of water.Linking rivers which have surplus water with rivers in deficit areas is a wise suggestion to manage the problems of flood and drought.

The majority of household water use comes from toilets, washing machines, showers, baths, faucets and leaks.

Some Common practices of conservation of water

⭐Usage of washing machine and dish washers only when they are loaded fully.

⭐ Turning off the faucets while brushing the teeth.

⭐Using a low flow shower heads and faucet aerators.

⭐Rainwater harvesting methods and construction of small check dams to arrest water from runoff and to store water for ground water recharge.

⭐ Recycling of water wherever it is possible.

⭐Grow more trees.Trees act as sponge in absorbing excess water and recharge the underground water reserve.

⭐ Wastage of water must be avoided wherever possible.

What NDA or National Democratic Alliance is?

NDA is the abbreviation for the National Democratic Alliance. The NDA is the alliance of the centre-right and right-wing Indian political parties, which is led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The alliance includes 17 parties. The NDA government was founded in 1998 by late Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

BJP is the only national party in the NDA alliance. Other than that, the alliance includes 25 members as of May 2020:

History of National Democratic Alliance (NDA)

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was formed to contest general elections as a coalition government in 1988. It was led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Several regional parties were included in the NDA coalition, including the Samta Party, All India. Anna Dravida Munetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), and also the Shiv Sena which is the only member of NDA to share the Hindutva ideology of the BJP. In 1988, the NDA won the majority number of seats and with it won the elections, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee again came into power as the Prime Minister. The win was possible because of the outside support that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). However, the government collapsed because of the withdrawal of the All India Anna Dravida Munetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). Later, few more regional parties joined the NDA, after which it again won the elections of 1999 and for the first time came into power for a full term of five years. Earlier the NDA came into power with Atal Bihari Vajpayee serving as the Prime Minister but for 13 days in 1996, then for 13 months from 1998-1999, and finally for a full term of five years from 1999 – 2004.

Formation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is one of the two major national political parties of India. One is the Indian National Congress (INC) and the other is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) among the two major parties. In 1951, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee formed the Bharatiya Janata Sangh, from where the BJP originated. In 1977, the State of Emergency emerged, and to form the Janata Party the Jana Sangh emerged with several other parties and defeated the Congress Party in the general elections of 1977. The Janata Party dissolved in 1980 after being in power for three years, and the former members of the Jana Sangh came together to form the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The BJP then officially was formed in 1980. Initially, in the 1984 elections, it only won 2 seats but later it followed victories in state and national elections and 1996 became the largest party in the parliament. However, it lasted for only 13 days due to the lack of a majority in the lower house of parliament (Lok Sabha). In 1998, after the general elections the coalition government of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the BJP came into power lasted for 13 months and then in 1999 for a full term of five years. However, in 2004 the NDA government faced defeat and Congress Party stayed in power for the next 10 years. In 2014, the BJP led NDA government finally regained its power and served for a full term of five years under Narendra Modi serving as the Prime Minister of India.

Feminism

Women’s liberation could be a social and political development that advocates for the rights of ladies on the grounds of uniformity of genders. It does not deny the organic contrasts between the genders but requests correspondence in openings. It covers everything from social and political to financial fields. In reality, women’s activist campaigns have been a vital portion of history in ladies strengthening. The feminist campaigns of the twentieth century made the proper to vote, open property, work and instruction conceivable. Hence, an paper on women’s liberation will examine its significance and affect.

Women’s liberation isn’t fair critical for ladies but for each sex, sexual orientation, caste, ideology and more. It enables the individuals and society as a entirety. A really common misinterpretation is that as it were ladies can be feminists. It is completely off-base but women’s liberation does not fair advantage ladies. It endeavors for balance of the genders, not the prevalence of ladies. Woman’s rights takes the sexual orientation parts which have been around for numerous a long time and tries to deconstruct them. This permits individuals to live unreservedly and engage lives without getting tied down by conventional confinements. In other words, it benefits ladies as well as men. For occasion, whereas it advocates that ladies must be free to gain it too advocates that why ought to men be the sole breadwinner of the family? It tries to deliver flexibility to all. Most importantly, it is essential for youthful individuals to urge included within the women’s activist development. This way, ready to accomplish quicker comes about. It is no less than a dream to live in a world full of equality.

In this way, we must all see at our claim societies and communities for making this dream a reality. We have not however come to the result but we are on the travel, so we must proceed on this mission to attain fruitful comes about.

The key message of woman’s rights must be to highlight the choice in bringing individual meaning to women’s liberation. It is to recognize other’s right for doing the same thing. The pitiful portion is that in spite of women’s liberation being a solid development, there are still parts of the world where disparity and misuse of ladies take places. In this way, we must all attempt to hone intersectional women’s liberation.

PRO-CHOICE OR PRO-LIFE

BY: VAIBHAVI MENON

“No woman can call herself free who does not control her own body.” Abortion is the medical termination of a foetus and I believe it should be allowed because it was made for a reason. The doctors wouldn’t create abortion if they didn’t think it was right. Abortion should be the woman’s choice and not according to society because it’s the woman who has to carry the baby, take care of the baby and worry about its future. It is the woman’s body which is going through the changes. The mother could be financially unstable and not be able to provide for the baby so in such cases it’s better to abort the baby at the initial stage rather than make it suffer for the rest of its life. Yes the mother can have the baby and put it up for abortion but pregnancy completely changes a woman’s body and for some women it can be fatal and can cause infertility but lets imagine the baby is put up for adoption what is the guarantee that the baby gets into a family and even if we assume the baby has gotten into the family what is the guarantee that the family is good and not abusive.

in the case of a child with a severe disability like Progeria (child ages ) or butterfly skin their life expectancy is only a couple of years and even in that little life they suffer so much cuz of disease. In this case its better to abort especially people who are not financially stable they wont even be able to afford medicines for the diseases. Victims of sexual assault who become pregnant should be able to abort because they dint want this child. The incident that happened to them is already traumatic for them and the child is a constant reminder of what happened to them. there have been cases around the world where a mother who wasn’t ready to have a child has postpartum depression and has committed suicide or takes drugs or kills her own child. Aborting the child inside the womb does not cause pain to the child but killing outside definitely will.

That being said abortion should not be used negatively like for example female infanticide.. it should be used in the case of important situations. Honestly a person who wants to abort a child is going to do so whether legal or not….only difference is that if its allowed they will do it with professional help and if not allowed they will do it on their own by taking pills or through consumption of alcohol etc. in the end its only the woman’s choice as she’s the one who deals with the upbringing of the child and has to see whether she is ready to accept the changes that would happen to her both physically and mentally.therefore I would like to conclude this by saying abortion is not a evil thing to do as many people consider it to be. Infact it saves the unborn child from the fatalities he/she may experience due to the unwilling birth of it.

Legal analysis of doxxing

What is the definition of doxxing?
Doxxing, short for “dropping dox,” is an internet attack in which hackers collect personal information and documents, hence the “dox” element of “dropping dox,” in order to reveal the true identity of someone who wanted to remain anonymous.
Doxxing is a harmful act carried out by hackers against someone with whom they disagree or detest. The goal is usually to make the victim feel humiliated or harassed. Hackers, for example, might divulge the identify of an anonymous message board troll in order to embarrass that person. They might want that person to lose their job or be shunned by their coworkers or friends.

Doxxing comes in a variety of forms:—

Doxxing celebrities
Journalists frequently gather information about a celebrity’s personal life and publish it on their social media platforms. Doxxing, on the other hand, isn’t exactly common in the entertainment world. The hacker reveals personal information about the celebrity, such as credit card numbers, email addresses, social security numbers, and phone numbers.

Doxxing with a flaw
Doxxing is occasionally carried out by online vigilantes who are too indolent to conduct full research or examinations on their targets to ensure they are dealing with the correct person. Rather, they mistakenly link people to unrelated activities or events. As a result of such “bad” doxxing, innocent persons face the following consequences:
Loss of reputation, job loss, harassment, physical damage, or death are only few of the consequences.

Doxxing for retaliation
Doxxing can be used as a method of retaliation. They disclose publicly identifiable details about their rivals on the internet to humiliate them.

Doxxing swapping
Swatting is a doxxing technique. When someone falsely accuses someone of committing a crime, police (or a SWAT squad, as the case may be) are dispatched to the victim’s home to harass them. The victim of doxxing, on the other hand, is frequently killed.

Doxxing is a method of exposing criminals.
While most swatting is done for fun, some people use it to commit serious crimes like murder. They publicise personal information about their opponents on the internet and encourage others to harm them. The purpose could be personal vengeance or expressing disagreement or animosity toward a particular cause, religion, activity, or race..

Is it legal to doxx someone?
Doxxing is usually not deemed illegal if the content exposed is in the public domain and was obtained legitimately. However, regulations intended to prevent stalking, harassment, and threats may make doxxing unlawful in your jurisdiction.
It also relies on the specific information disclosed. Giving someone’s true name, for example, is less risky than giving out their home address or phone number. Doxxing is both immoral and unlawful, and you could face serious legal consequences, including imprisonment, if you are caught harassing people and releasing their personal information. Detecting and prosecuting these kinds of crimes can be difficult.

Virtual Rape

The topic of virtual reality rape has not been extensively popularised as of now. Despite the fact that it has been discussed, today’s societal construct only permits rape to occur in real life. Because rape is more closely associated with the physical form of the act, it is even more difficult to comprehend in a non-physical virtual environment. However, the advancement of computer-mediated communication (CMC) has created a dependable platform for people to network with one another in virtual reality and have an open discussion on the subject.
Virtual rape is a term that has been coined to describe the act of
Because the notion is only now being freely discussed and recognised, it does not yet have a well-established legal definition. Virtual rape, on the other hand, can be described as the act of forcing someone into an unwilling sexual act in a virtual setting. It could entail a non-consensual touch, exposure, or character representation modification.

The behaviour may differ depending on whether the virtual environment is a visual one with online avatars (a figure that represents a specific user in a video game) or a more direct type of textual immersive contact. There may be gaps in the definition due to its narrow scope, which excludes other types of sexual assault and sexually explicit behaviour. As a result, an ideal definition would advise that virtual rape be defined as rape that occurs in the actual world.

Sexual autonomy is being violated on the internet.
As a criminal offence, rape is one of the most heinous and despised acts that one may commit against another. Though, over time, numerous penal codes have recognised various types of rape, ranging from penial-vaginal penetration to oral and anal penetrations, forceful insertion of inanimate objects, drowsiness, incapable victims, deception, and other types of problematic inappropriate sex.

Is it a crime – this is the essential argument.
The shift of rape into space online makes this terrible scene a little less intimate and intrusive as it moves virtual. The intrusion reduces as the proximity and imagery are removed from the entire act in comparison to the actual real-life event, without diminishing the terrible impact it may have on the victims. The offender’s control and coercion are reduced, resulting in a less stressful encounter for the victim. It differs from a real-life rape situation in which physical force, compulsion, and unwillingness are used.

Conclusion
It has been stated that society has not yet reached a position where virtual attacks should be considered illegal. However, due to a lack of legislative or judicial acknowledgment, the matter remains largely subjective at this time. With all of the knowledge and data accessible, the only way to answer the issues that arose from the situation was to conduct thorough study. To have a prominent and clear understanding, our legislators would need to be wise while dealing with an allegation of virtual rapes and the concerns that go along with it. Until then, it is the responsibility of virtual communities and their producers to establish safe virtual environments for its users.

JOURNEY TO SANITY – MINDFULNESS

In the current world, we might have taken the term mindfulness too seriously in literal terms. We constantly keep our minds filled with news, gossips, shows and every other non-important thing in order to avoid the most important thing – OURSELVES. However, Mindfulness in reality is the art of being in the present both physically and mentally.
Many a times we get caught up in planning for the future or cherishing the past memories. It is good to remember old things and look forward to new experiences, but not at the expense of the present.
As it’s beautifully quoted by Master Oogway: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery but today is a gift. That is why it’s called Present”.

So, now the question that arises is, how to stop the urge to overthink?
To answer that, It’s hard to control your mind as the more you try to control it, the more it wonders. Kind of like caging a bird, who yarns for freedom. A good master is considered to be a person who sets the bird free and allows it to come back to him. Similarly, mindfulness does not mean the absence of distractions or complete numbness. It is the ability to be aware of the thought, accepting the thought and then, gently bringing it back to the present.

Other ways to be more mindful can be :

~ Eating with complete attention on the food you intake, without being distracted by television, phone, etc.

~ Avoid multitasking and juggling between different works.

~ Avoid using phones in the washroom (I know you do)

Though it might seem as we have just today to achieve everything possible and today will change our future but relax, listen to your heart. It might not be that bad to rest and enjoy life for once

How to do reforestation

the process of replanting trees as a recovery process of deforestation is known as reforestation. Reforestation has very large importance to recover for the harm of deforestation. It is important to decrease the pollution, specifically air pollution and also helps to fight climate change.

Every person asks to plant trees and has a list of reasons to do so. But nobody told about the right way to do reforestation. Is it ok to go on planting any species thinking every plant gives oxygen, what is the difference. Along with reforestation, protecting our biodiversity is also crucial. Just planting same species to an entire area is just like agriculture. It will never contribute more than oxygen and never helps to address other co-existing problems.

Conducting right reforestation programs will help to restore habitats. A large number of animal species are facing the fear of extinction because of deforestation. They just not need any tree to survive, Their survival depends on the biodiversity as well. Forests take part in ecological changes. Forests maintain soil quality. Planting a single species will surely not helps to restore the soil quality and also maintaining humidity and temperature.

HOW TO SELECT SUITABLE SPECIES

Go for the study of the site or place where you are planning to do reforestation. Study the soil composition and derive conclusions based on that. See whether the place has the capacity to grow the species you are selecting. Look for the plants that have naturally regenerated in that place. That will give you an idea about the verities that originally belong to that place. Study about the historical vegetation that is try to get knowledge about the vegetation present there before deforestation. This can be done by looking for old forest department records. After you decide for the species that to be planted collect information about the growth of each type. Look for requirements of water and sunlight and other necessary things and whether they are now available at that site.

HOW YOU PLANT WILL ALSO MATTER

There are two methods in regeneration: 1. Natural regeneration in which includes natural seeding techniques, stump sprouting and root suckering. 2. Artificial regeneration method which involves machine planting, hand planting, aerial and ground seeding methods. Choose whatever works for you.

Choose the plants samplings from the local source. This will help in effective reforestation. Go for mixing of species, both naturally occurring and planted and maintain diversity. In the area with management problems go for long-lived species. Use species which is appropriate for the site.

Promote natural appearing style rather than planting in rows and columns. Leave enough space between the samplings and allow for establishment of other species. consider other soil management techniques like scarifying and irrigation if needed. Protect the surrounding natural habitats like lakes and ponds. Provide debris to the plants. And also increasing complexities may increase the cost of reforestation. Always manage the budget.

Kwimba Reforestation project of Tanzania is an example for successful reforestation project. This project was commenced in 1990 funded by World land trust. The main purpose of the project was to restore the biodiversity of the Usambara mountains. Now species like ficus, mahogany cedar, plum tree, apple trees are the part of that biodiversity and world needs to be inspired by such stories.

The Truth About Crop Circles

Garden-variety crop circle.

Crop circles have been appearing in grain fields all over the earth during the last few decades. They appear suddenly, usually at night. At first they were simple circles of bent-over grain stalks. Soon a new crop of more elaborate designs evolved—geometric forms reminiscent of profound mathematical theorems.

Some cerealogists (people who study crop circles) say that these diagrams must be created by intelligent alien beings from elsewhere. Even though these diagrams must be constructed in a very short timespan, the genuine crop circles never show any serious mistakes or blunders of execution. Cerealogists see this as evidence that the aliens must be very intelligent and much more advanced than we are. That’s mere speculation, of course. Others say the real reason is that there’s a worldwide conspiracy to hide the fact that the aliens sometimes do make mistakes. This coverup is carried out by people who want to preserve the myth that the aliens are a perfect race. The fact that you’ve never heard of such crop circle blunders just shows how effective this coverup is, they say. Mistakes are repaired at the site, or sometimes photographs of the circles are retouched. This has about as much to recommend it as any of the other conspiracy theories accepted and believed by simple-minded people.

Let’s look at more plausible explanations. Actually, a few designs do seem at first to have apparent irregularities or flaws. Some of these are surely caused by wind or rain, careless hoaxers or the trampling feet of crop circle buffs. But let’s set those aside and look only at those that are genuine and undisturbed. What appear at first to be iregularities or errors, may only be perfection of a higher and subtler kind, that we do not as yet understand.

Crop circles made by aliens?

Why should supposedly intelligent aliens travel huge cosmic distances across the galaxy just to doodle in our grain fields? What an absurd idea! [1] No one has ever seen them doing it, have they? Usually there aren’t even any ufo sightings associated with the circles, except for those reported after the fact by people with overactive imaginations. Surely intelligent aliens have better things to do. The true origin of crop circle designs may be nearer to home.

The whole thing begins to make sense once we realize that the earth is flat. We live on the backside of a huge flat blackboard (whiteboard, scratch paper, or whatever) used by aliens in their schools and universities. There are many of these in the universe. The flat disk of the earth is thin enough that student doodles made in alien art and math classes “bleed through” to our side. This happens because their writing instruments emit mitogenetic radiation (M-rays) that are well known to affect some living plants, especially wheat, barley, oats and corn. [2] M-rays weaken the stalk structure near the ground, and the stalks bend over gently to lie flat on the ground, showing no evidence of forceful breaking. So the crop circles in grain fields are nothing more than the reverse pattern of alien students’ diagrams made in geometry class.

Look carefully at photos of crop circles in books and on the internet, and a striking fact emerges. Crop circle designs are constructed from circular arcs and straight lines. Even the more complex crop circles, including those made to look like Mandelbrot sets, or the head of Mickey Mouse ©, conform to this rule. All crop circles can be constructed using the standard methods of Euclidean geometry. This should tell us something. The aliens making these drawings must be using ungraduated rulers and compases. [3] Has anyone ever seen a crop circle based on the form of a pentagon?

It’s true that a few designs have straight lines and curves that seem at first to be more complex than circles. But we must remember that straight lines are simply circles of infinite radius. Any complex curves can be constructed approximately from circular arc segments of different radius.

Did they use a ruler?

There’s good evidence that aliens have been defacing the earth’s surface with geological grafitti for a very long time. The curious lines and drawings on the Nazca plain in Peru likely have the same cause. At that earlier time in history the aliens had only primitive writing instruments. They were still using “pens” made of inorganic material, that emit E-rays (Earth rays). These only affect non-living things. Sand on flat ground is easily moved around with very little energy. The sandy surface of the Nazca plain acted like a giant Etch-A-Sketch ®. No advanced mathematical figures are found at Nazca, only long straight lines, pictures and geometric doodles. Obviously the aliens weren’t as scientifically advanced then. Then why are the lines so perfect, and the straight lines so straight? The reason is quite simple: on their side of the blackboard the aliens used rulers.

School kid’s prank?

A number of commentators claim to have proven to their own satisfaction that the Ancient Egyptians didn’t have the resources or technology to build the pyramids. Could it be that the pyramids of Egypt were built by alien kids, who, in a playful mood, pushed their play blocks into their blackboard, all the way through, coming up point first on our side? Following this line of reasoning, perhaps Stonehenge and similar structures are the result of an alien children’s game in which stone pegs are pushed into a geometric array of holes

Conflicts and Screening

Conflicts and their screening

What image comes to your head when you listen to the word conflict. You might be thinking of wars, religious disharmony, or any kind of violence. Yes, true they come under conflicts but we can’t say that anything becomes a conflict only when it’s violent because conflicts can also be due to any kind of narrative or message that is going in the society and some people agrees with that, and some don’t but that doesn’t take the shape of violence.
Now here comes the question that why there is a need to show these conflicts in the movies, what is the need for screening or production of these movies which shows some recent conflicts. To this, we first need to understand that these conflicts are only shown once they have reached a conclusive state and when there is no harm to the national security of the country. People have misconceptions that they can harm national security but there is a need to understand that movies never do live telecasts so there is no need to get worried about any kind of harm. Also, scripts are written by knowing all sides of the incident and they are written by experts. Also, any movie is released in the air after checking that it doesn’t hurt any community’s sentiments.
Now if we talk about the benefits of screening these movies then firstly there comes the abundant source of information. We see that not every house has internet, not everyone has the urge to surf and get knowledge of things but even in rural areas we will find the television, it is more affordable and people can at least come to know about the conflicts that are going on in the country or that happened in the country at a very affordable price. For example, many people would not have been able to know about the attack on Taj, but through the movie, many people became aware of the incidents. So sometimes it plays an important role in spreading some information or making people aware of something.
Moving to the second benefit, these movies help in preserving history. For example, a Bollywood movie named Kesari showed the bravery of 21 Sikhs who fought against 10000 Afghani warriors. This is how by making a movie on such war, we became able to preserve our History and thousands of people now and many more in future will get inspired by the bravery of Indians and will learn how to fight and take stand until the last breath.
Now coming to the third benefit, by making movies on war, we give representations to the people who have lost their lives, who have sacrificed their lives just for the sake of their motherland selflessly. Their families get a representation who supported them during the difficult times and many people get motivated with the same.
Now, the conclusion which we have reached is that people doesn’t have same opinion about the things that doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be shown in the movies, that doesn’t mean that other people shouldn’t be made aware about those problems exist in the society.People need to know and should get a chance to make their opinions .

We must utilise our time in something productive and productive doesn’t have to necessarily mean learning a new skill or cleaning our house. Being productive is so much more than that! Productive is also when we give times to things that would bring us instant joy.

It’s always good to eat and it’s even better when we can eat all the food alone. Although some people might be thinking that this never used to happen in the past. So yes, you’re correct. Solo Picnics never used to happen in the past. Picnic itself means social gathering with friends or families. However, here I’m urging everyone to have a solo picnic indoor because of the ongoing pandemic. Though if you’re living in a nuclear or joint family, go for a picnic indoor with them. Cook great food, eat and chill.

We always have a shelf in our house with full of books and magazines from the past era. We just keep them aside and forget about them after reading them once. There are also our favourite magazines that we used to collect during our childhood, may be because of their content or because they used to have our favourite celebrity on their covers. We can just relive those memories by simply taking out and reading them.

5) Put on the radio!

IS EDUCATION EASIER WITH DISTANCE LEARNING?

Life changes with the passage of time, as does the circumstance. And the perfect example to relate to this phrase is the situation in which we are living today. The ongoing pandemic scenario has altered conventional lifestyles while also bringing remote learning into the spotlight.

So, distance learning is a form of learning in which lectures are broadcast over the air or lessons are delivered through mail, with the learner not having to attend a school or institution. This learning method is not entirely unique to us, but due to the ongoing circumstances it has become a catchword and has lately swept the world by storm.

Traditional learning, in contrast to distant learning, needs several variables to support education for students, such as infrastructural setups and study materials which in turn elevates the cost level. however, everything has its pros and cons and I’m going to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of traditional learning and distance learning below in order to make a judgment upon the selected topic.

TRADITIONAL LEARNINGDISTANCE LEARNING
ADVANTAGESDISADVANTAGES
It is highly interactive and keeps the student motivatedLack of individual attention and feedback
Access to libraries and research materials Limited scope of practical learning
Lesser chances of distraction Higher chances of distraction
Helps in maintaining interpersonal interactions Don’t help in developing oral skills and social interactions
No technical difficulties Technical difficulties

DISADVANTAGESADVANTAGES
Less affordableIt is much more affordable
Transportation is needed to attend lectures that will cost the learner money as well as time.No commutation needed to attend classes which saves time and money
Access to gain multiple  knowledge is challengingEasier access to knowledge
Cannot work while learningCan work while learning
Does not ensure flexibility with timeEnsures flexibility with time
Geographical boundary is a barrier to gain knowledge No location restriction to earn knowledge

After comparing the benefits and drawbacks of online learning and traditional learning it can be said that online learning has certain drawbacks, but as we can see in this information age, we don’t have any other option than to obtain knowledge through online platforms; it may evolve to be user-friendly and become an integral part of human life, just like traditional education. Because in today’s educational system, distance learning is becoming more and more accepted, and the online programs are becoming diversified. With the ongoing technical advances distance learning disadvantages will soon be no longer drawbacks. For example- In today’s world, everyone is getting their education through e-learning, which is a type of distance learning that makes studying more engaging and convenient. It also allows the student to progress at their own speed because e-learning materials may be accessed at any time. When we look at the statistics of e learning, we can see that it is becoming a trend lately in learning and development since it saves time, money, and effort in building up educational institutions and training programs, as well as in delivering content to learners. So therefore, it can be said that distance learning which includes e learning can become the future of education globally and education becomes easier with distance learning.

The status of women in a family

There is a popular concept in the Indian Mythology the Ardhanaarishwara – this word consists of 3 parts “Ardha” which refers to half. “Naari” for women and “Ishwara” for lord. A half male and half female figure, in which the male part depicts lord Shiva and the other half depicts Goddess Shakti, this makes it quite clear to understand that a male and a female has equal importance and power but, in contrast to this we have a society where male enjoys a supreme status than a female in the same household.

There are exceptional cases where a woman is given equal importance in a family as a result of which, most of the women specially those who belong to a backward area or uneducated background have to suffer a lot in her own family but this suffering which is named as the ‘destiny’ of a women creates a much bigger problem. The social norms accept male supremacy and this can be observed in our day-to-day life and practices which are followed since a long time for instance- male head of a family, in a typical household is common but, the drawback is when it comes to decision making and implementation of rules and laws. It ultimately reduces the power of a female they are not allowed to participate in the decision making and even if they are the final decision is in the hand of the head all the major decisions of the family will be taken by the head, rules will be framed by him. Moreover, the traditional role of a women as a housekeeper and the one who is solely responsible for the upbringing of children, serve the family etc has never let women look beyond house and family, this has killed the dreams and ambition of so many women, who could have achieved so much more in life.
Similarly, there are so many incidences and rules which can highlight the fact that the society practices inequality, supremacy and discrimination in different forms and if all these problems exist how can we expect balance in a society.

Today, the situation is better than before a women can be seen in much appropriate roles not only at personal level but, professionally also they are self-build, independent and respected, they have come a long way to get accepted in the roles which were not supposed to be theirs. Theses days women are the sole bread earners in family and get equal participation in the decision making, they have done extraordinary progress to stand out and inspire other women to do the same. As great leaders like Swami Vivekananda have said that a woman is of uttermost importance in a society and the condition of a women in a society reflects the development of a society.

This brings us to the conclusion that, it is not only about supremacy or dominance of a particular gender but, a deep-rooted problem of the society which has many causes and can become an obstacle in the path of development in any country and if we can possibly eradicate such problems from the society. It will definitely benefit each and every one.
