Narendra Modi as a person has always been a great inspiration for the people of India.

Narendra Modi was born on 17th September 1950. The birthplace of Narendra Modi is Vadnagar, Mehsana district, Bombay State (present-day Gujarat). Narendra Modi’s full name is Narendra Damodardas Modi. His father’s name was Mool Chand Modi and his Mother is Hiraben. Modiji has only one motive that is India’s development. He had a dream of digital India. Furthermore, he wanted a corruption-free India and to imply this he took a major step. He ordered demonetization in the entire country. Under it the current currency became invalid. In order to get the new currency, people have to exchange it from the old ones. This was only possible by depositing all the money in the respective bank accounts. This was a major event in the history of India.

various campaigns for the safety of women also were initiated. Campaigns like Anti- Romeo Squad were in action to catch the eve-teasers on the roads.

Also, a major amendment was made in the country, the punishments for a pedophile rapist was been declared as hang till death. These were the steps that made him an outstanding prime minister. Because of which he was again elected as a prime minister in the 2019 general elections.

Narendra Modi’s optimistic nature and challenging capabilities have led to an impact on our nation. Moreover, his way of turning the crowd and expressing his thoughts is making him a remarkable politician. Narendra Modi has may fan in the country as well as in other nations. This is because he travels in different countries throughout the year. To discuss India’s financial and friendly relations with other countries.

Narendra Modi is a ‘People’s Leader’, dedicated to solving their problems and improving their well-being.

He is a ray of hope in the lives of billions of Indians and one of the most popular leaders who mostly focuses on development. Even the slogan of our PM Narendra Modi “Main Bhi Chowkidar” focuses on the dignity of labour and aims to take the support of working class. He said this slogan because he felt that he is also standing firm and doing his work as the nation’s ‘chowkidar’. Further he emphasised that every Indian who is fighting for corruption, dirt, social evils etc. for the progress of India is also a ‘Chowkidar. This way slogan ‘Main bhi chowkidar’ went viral.

Inspired by the motto of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’, Shri Modi has ushered in a paradigm shift in governance that has led to inclusive, development-oriented and corruption-free governance. The Prime Minister has worked with speed and scale to realise the aim of Antyodaya, or ensuring last-mile delivery of schemes and services.

Leading international agencies have noted that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, India has been eliminating poverty at record pace. This is attributed to a series of pro-poor decisions taken by the Central Government.

Today, India is home to the world’s largest healthcare programme, Ayushman Bharat. Covering over 50 crore Indians, Ayushman Bharat provides top quality and affordable healthcare to the poor and neo-middle class.

Going a step ahead of Jan Dhan, Shri Modi emphasised on Jan Suraksha, by giving insurance and pension cover to the most vulnerable sections of society. The JAM trinity (Jan Dhan- Aadhaar- Mobile) has led to elimination of middle men and ensured transparency and speed, powered by technology.

The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, launched in 2016 provides free cooking gas connections to the poor. It has proven to be a major game-changer in providing smoke-free kitchens to over 7 crore beneficiaries, most of whom are women. 18,000 villages that were without electricity even after 70 long years of Independence have been electrified.

Shri Modi believes that no Indian should be homeless and to realise this vision, over 1.25 crore houses were built between 2014 and 2019. The pace of house construction remains as quick to fulfil the PM’s vision of ‘Housing for All’ by 2022.

PM Modi launched the ‘Make in India’ initiative to turn India into an international manufacturing powerhouse. The World Health Organisation has appreciated the Swachh Bharat Mission and has opined that it would save three lakh lives.

Shri Modi believes that transportation is an important means towards transformation. That is why, the Government of India has been working to create next-generation infrastructure be it in terms of more highways, railways, i-ways and waterways. The UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) Scheme has made aviation sector more people-friendly and boosted connectivity.

During his tenure, special attention has been paid to India’s rich history and culture. India is home to the world’s largest statue, the State of Unity, a fitting tribute to Sardar Patel. This Statue was built through a special mass movement where tools of farmers and soil from all states and Union Territories of India were used, signifying the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.’

Agriculture is a sector that is very close to Shri Narendra Modi. During the interim budget of 2019, the Government announced a monetary incentive for farmers called the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. In almost three weeks, on 24th February 2019, the scheme was launched and instalments have been paid regularly since then. During the first Cabinet Meeting of PM Modi’s second term, it was decided to extend the PM Kisan benefits to all farmers, removing the 5 acre limit that was present earlier. With this, the Government of India would be devoting almost Rs. 87,000 crore per year for farmer welfare.

PM Modi is deeply passionate about environmental causes. He has time and again called for closing of ranks to create a clean and green planet. As Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Modi created a separate Climate Change Department to create innovative solutions to climate change. This spirit was seen in the 2015 COP21 Summit in Paris where PM Modi played a key role in the high-level deliberations.

Narendra Modi’s clarion call for marking a day as ‘International Day of Yoga’ received an overwhelming response at the UN. In a first, a total of 177 Nations across the world came together and passed the resolution to declare 21st June as the ‘International Day of Yoga at the UN.’

Modiji’s powerful ‘personal connect’ with the people on ground is complemented by a strong online presence. He is known as India’s most techno-savvy leader, using the web to reach people and bring about change in their lives. He is very active on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Sound Cloud, Linkedin, Weibo and other forums. Beyond politics, Narendra Modi enjoys writing. He has authored several books, including poetry. He begins his day with Yoga, which strengthens his body and mind and instills the power of calmness in an otherwise fast-paced routine.

So Many Vaccines! But Which One Is The Best?

Since the pandemic unleashed each country from every nook and corner of the world started the research on the virus to make a vaccines. Till date a lot of countries have produced innumerous vaccines. Following are some of the most widely used vaccines.

1.Covaxin

Released by Bharat Biotech, it has an efficacy of 78% against symptomatic cases. The phase 4 trials were started in June 2021. It constitutes an inactive form of the covid virus. This invokes the immune system which kills any such virus that enters the future. It is given in the form of 2 doses each 4 to 6 weeks apart. There may be side effects like pain, swelling, stiffness in the upper arm, etc. It has not been tested on infants, pregnant, and breastfeeding women.

2.Covishield

Developed by the Oxford-AstraZeneca, it is being manufactured by the Serum Institute of India (SII). It is also given in 2 doses but both are 12 to 16 weeks apart. When both doses are given 30 days apart it is 70% effective but when the doses are 2 to 3 months apart, the efficacy rises to 90%. It has the same side effects as covaxin and is also not tested on infants, pregnant, and breastfeeding mothers.

3.Pfizer

Developed by the German company BioNTech it is an mRNA bases vaccine that encodes the mutated form of the spike protein. Its efficacy is around 91% after the second dose. A gap of 3-4 weeks is recommended between the 2 doses. Side effects remain the same. It can be administered to children above 16 years of age.

4.Sputnik V

Produced by the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology in Russia, it is an adenovirus viral vector vaccine. Its efficacy is 91%. The second dose is different from the first and is given after 21 days gap. The export from one country to another is easy as it requires a storage temperature of +2-8 degrees Celsius. With the same side effects, it is not recommended to pregnant women.

5.Moderna

Produced by ModernaTX, Inc., an American pharmaceutical and biotechnology company in Cambridge, it is an mRNA-based vaccine. It is given in the form of 2 doses 28 days apart. It is recommended for people above 18 years of age with the same side effects. After 2 weeks of the second dose, the efficacy rises from 91% to 94%.

The side effects that these vaccines have are normal and only means that our body’s defense mechanism is working. Therefore each individual should get a vaccine as soon as possible.

The Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle is a region in the north-western part of the Atlantic Ocean, near the USA. It is also called the ‘Devil’s Triangle’, because of all the disappearances and supernatural activity that is associated with it. Till date, around 50 ships and 20 airplanes have gone missing in the Bermuda triangle, never to be heard of again. Not even the wreckage or debris of any vessel has been found. One such case was in 1945, when a squadron of US Navy bombers became disoriented while flying over the area and thereafter disappeared, never to be found again. Even the rescue plane sent after them disappeared with no trace. No one knows what happens to the vessels, or the people inside them after entering the Bermuda triangle. Oftentimes the boats and planes have vanished without even sending out a distress call or signal, and planes have been known to go off the radar in this region of the ocean.

What are the possible explanations?

Many people like to suggest supernatural or other-worldly causes as possible explanations, like alien abductions or some mythical sea creature. However, it is more likely to have a scientific explanation, with geophysical and environmental factors at play. One such factor is that the agonic line (imaginary line connecting the earth’s north and south magnetic poles) passes through this area, which pilots may fail to account for. This may have caused discrepancies in interpreting the magnetic compass and thereby led to significant navigational error, resulting in catastrophe. Another scientific explanation is that the region often has massive rogue waves passing through it (reaching up to 100 feet) which are enough to carry away and engulf any evidence of a ship or airplane, which is why none has been found. Since multiple storms may converge in the Bermuda triangle, and hurricanes often sweep by in that area, it is possible to form massive waves and winds that destroy, carry away, and leave no sign of any vessels.

Furthermore, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of America has said that “There is no evidence that mysterious disappearances occur with any greater frequency in the Bermuda Triangle than in any other large, well-travelled area of the ocean,” This means that though there have been mysterious disappearances, a larger number of ships and airplanes have travelled through the region, and continue to do so today, without any incident. So, the few cases in which disappearances did occur might have been due to certain unfortunate circumstances and events.

Conclusion

There is a lot of mystery and fantasy involved when talking about the Bermuda triangle, but this is because human minds are drawn towards things that are bizarre and memorable, and we are more likely to remember things that seem exceptional in nature. In this process, however, we often disregard the ordinary things that offer a more realistic view. We prefer to think about a mysteriously disappearing ship rather than a ship that simply sank in a hurricane. This leads to something known as the ‘frequency illusion’ where once we’re introduced to something, we tend to notice it more often in our lives. This makes us believe that that thing is more common and frequent than it really is. Hence, the world may suffer from a frequency illusion that makes us want to think that the Bermuda triangle keeps swallowing up vessels very often, when in reality it has been a select few cases. In fact, mysterious disappearances happen in every part of the world, and not just the Bermuda triangle. The classic example of this being Malaysia Airlines flight 370.

Regardless, the Bermuda triangle has managed to capture human imagination with the unexplained disappearances in its area, and has also been referenced in may pop-culture pieces of media like the Gulliver’s Travels and Percy Jackson movies. This shows the impact that any strange phenomenon can have on human minds, and its ability to impress us. Today the Bermuda triangle is a safe destination that even tourists can visit to see for themselves, without any risk of disappearing.

RESTORATION VERSE SATIRE

The Puritan Experiment in government did not survive for too long after Cromwell’s death in 1658 and in May 1660 Charles II was reinstated to the throne of England. Satirical poetry flourished during this phrase and the main exponent of this form was John Dryden (1631-1700). His great political satires include Absalom and Achitophel, The Medal, and Mac Flecknoe, a literary satire was born of politics. Somewhat lacking in structure and overweight with prolonged “scolding”, these pieces are all magnificent in their vigorous dignity, their boisterous vituperation, and their incisive satirical portraiture.

After the excitement of the Popish Pot (1678) there had been repeated attempt to force a bill through Parliament excluding Catholics (and thus their legitimate heir, Duke of York) from the throne of England. The villain in these attempts was the Whig leader, Earl of Shaftesbury, who in the summer of 1681 was under arrest charged with high treason. At the suggestion of the King , Absalom and Achitophel was written and its publication timed to fall just a week before Shaftesbury’s fruitless arraignment. This poem makes use of Biblical story to indicate how Achitophel (Shaftesbury) is tempting to rebellion Absalom (The Duke of Monmouth, illegitimate son of Charles II and the Whig candidate to succeed his father).

Four months after this piece Dryden published The Medal (March,1682), another satire on Shaftesbury, whose followers upon his release from the charge of treason had cast a commemorative medal in honour of his triumph. The poem, less brilliant than its predecessor, gains force from being centered on a single person. It was answered two months after its appearance by a gossipy retort, The Medal of John Bayes, probably from the pen of Thomas Shadwell. In turn, a few months later, Dryden’s opinions concerning Shadwell were published twice; first in Mac Flecknoe, apparently written in 1678, and secondly, in passages inserted by Dryden in Nahum Tate’s Second Part of Absalom and Achitophel. In his treatment of Shadwell, Dryden drops at times his heroics and becomes roundly but still incisively abusive. Mac Flecknoe, one of Dryden’s most influential poems, first appeared anonymously, but was acknowledged by Dryden in 1693. About 1678, upon the decease of a secular priest, Richard Flecknoe, known as a bad versifier, it had occurred to Dryden to nominate Shadwell successor to the throne of Nonsense. Flecknoe, who chooses Shadwell to succeed him as the perfect nadir of genius. Satire on dullness of authors here reaches that high of plateau of caustic and relentless phrasing, the other boundary of which might be Pope’s Dunciad.

One of the most eminent of the lesser poets of the time was Samuel Butler. His major work Hudibras was a satirical attack on Puritans. The purpose of the poem is satirical and the action is simply a loose thread upon which arguments, reflections, and caustic portraits are strung. In the poem Butler attacks not only Puritanism but also notions of chivalry and heroism. Hudibras is episodic at times, but its satirical spirit comes through nevertheless. his favourite classical satire was Juvenal; but he owed fully as much in theme and method to such moderns as Rabelais, Cervantes and Scarron.

Butler’s intellectual quality, if not his full genius, is also seen in his other works which largely lack the grotesqueness of Hudibras. The Elephant in the Moon, a facetious satire on Sir Paul Neale, and the Satire on the Royal Society both show his unsympathetic attitude towards learning.

Butler, it is true had no worthy avowed disciple. Tom D’Urfey, Ned Ward, Tom Brown, John Oldham that Restoration verse satire enjoyed some more success. He was the foremost and most furious of those who fought on the side of Titus Oates and the Whigs. His A Satyr Against Vertue (1679) and Satyrs upon the Jesuits (1681) are notable examples of his talent. Oldham greatly valued personal freedom and in his satire Addressed to a Friend that is about to Leave the University and Come Abroad in the World, he affirms his love for freedom through the inserted fable of the wolf who loved freedom but would not endure the indignity of collar and chain put upon the civilized and well-fed Towzer. It is furious sweep of Oldham’s satiric rage that is most impressive, but this fable, and other passages that might seem autobiographical, have charm that is more amiable.

In the field of satirists one need also to look at the last of the cavalier breed like Rochester, Sedley, Dorset, and apart from this group at Charles Cotton. Of these the most prominent was the Earl of Rochester who died quite young as a result of his mad debaucheries, which took a toll on his health. His Satyr Against Mankind (1675) and the lines Upon Nothing are excellent satirical poems. His most important piece of literary satire in his Allusion to Horace’s 10th Satyr of the First Book. It is simply an episode in the running battle his lordship was carrying on with many poets, from Dryden to the negligible Sir Carr Scrope. His A Letter from Artemisa in the Town to Cloe in the Country is an excellent poem depicting the practices of the contemporary society.

Sir Charles Sedley, was an author of some satirical poems, but he was more known for his songs. Charles Sackville wrote relatively few satirical poems but his several other poems are tinged with satire. His lines on The British Princes of Edward Howard were profusely abusive and his stanzas On the Countess of Dorchester are strong but unpleasant in their epigrammatic sting.

The last of these cavalier lyrists to achieve a reputation as such was Charles Cotton. In his won lifetime his moderate fame was based on his burlesques, especially Scarronides. Apart from these some of the satirical songs of the period generally attacking the Puritans might also be taken with the ambit of satirical poetry of the period.

IMPORTANCE OF HUMAN RESOURCES

So first let us know what is human resources? basically it can be defined as the effective management of people in an organisation. HR management helps to bridge the gap between employee’s performance and the organisation’s strategic objectives. moreover, an efficient HR management team can give firm’s an edge over their competition. HR plays a significant role in developing positive business culture and improving employee engagement and productivity. the HR function also takes the lead on the employee wellness and personal development. it can be easy to overlook HR in an SME. many entreprenuers get their businesses off to a flying start. but grapple with people management as the business starts to flourish. managing staff takes time and it requires specific skills. HR in an area of expertise many business owners lack. regardless of skills the valu of HR in business isn’t always immediately apparent. with just a few employees, business leaders feel like they have their finger on the pulse when it comes to the people they hire and manage. but a business grows, leaders often find their just isn’t time to deal with day to day people management and recruitment and the focus on people can easily get lost. this is costly mistake and can affect employee satisfaction, culture, and long term success. underdeliver on effective HR and you’ll see a knock on effect on your bottom line. people culture and business sucess go hand in hand. reputation as an employer is influential in attracting talent. it also impacts on customers. take uber as an example; plagued by a string of HR catastrophes from sexual harassment cases to ignoring employees complaints; the resulting bad publicity has undoubtedly deterned many from working there or from using their ride sharing services. bad HR has destroyed uber’s employer brand.

The corona virus pandemic has forced us to re evaluate the way we do business. as part of this, the HR function is taking center stage. companies are being increasingly measured by the decisions they’ve taken and the way they treated their staff. what’s more the impact of ongoing economic uncertainity, remote working and all too real impact on employees mental health are forcing business across the UK to place human resources at the heart of their operation. from supporting managers with remote management skills through to sensitively communicating the consequences of a downturn in business. HR is crucial to the effective management of a business during the pandemic or other significant event.

|Costs of the practice of Sexism|

Sexism is an ideology which is used by men to victimize women.

“Sexism is the ideology that one sex is superior to the other. The term is generally used to refer to male prejudice and discrimination against women.”

Barbara Bovee Polk has stated that men in their own interest to maintain power and privilege over women are practicing sex differentiation. It is indeed a power game in which men want to establish their supremacy over women.

Economic cost of sexism:

In comparison with men the economic cost to women is greater. Even though women have equal qualifications on par with men, in many business establishments they are paid less than what men in the same profession get. In fact there are legislations such as the equal remuneration act of 1976 in India which remove wage discrimination between male and female workers but in actuality this legislation is remain in majority of the instances as that letters. Studies have proved that families that rely on female breadwinners are found to be poorer than the ones which have male breadwinners.

Psychological costs of sexism:

Women are treated as second class citizens and their experience becomes passive, rather than active they tend to be treated as thoughtless objects and not subjects in the social environment. Women are forced to forego many educational, political, cultural and economic opportunities and to accept the feminine ideal -a thing of beauty and perfect housewife.

Costs of the practice of sexism on men:

Sexism has created stereotypes in the long run which has a negative impact upon men as well. Men often find it embarrassing to reveal or show too much affection for stereotypically they are expected to exercise control over women, if a husband helps his wife in the kitchen it is generally considered weird.

Hence, sexism is a practice which needs to stop as as it stands in the way of the growth and progress of women who are an equal member of the society and so it has a negative impact upon the growth and development of the society as a whole.

Sandra and Daryl Bem’s views are worth mentioning: “…. when a boy is born it is difficult to predict what he will be doing twenty-five years later we cannot say whether he will be a doctor or a college Professor because he will be permitted to develop and fulfill his own identity, but if the newborn child is a girl, we can predict with almost complete certainty how she will be spending her time twenty-five years later. Her individuality does not have to be considered, it is irrelevant.”

Everyday is a new beginning

Every Day is a New Beginning
No matter how bad was yesterday, it has passed and today is a new beginning and we have the opportunity to make good of what we have failed to achieve yesterday, so that we could achieve a better result in the future.

Every day of your life is a new beginning, not just the first day of the year. You can make Daily Resolutions, not just New Year Resolutions. Any day is suitable for making them. Regard every day as the beginning of your new, better, and happier life. Start every day of the year with feelings of happiness and with the anticipation that great and wonderful things are going to happen.

Every day when we awake, it is a different day than the one before. Another brand-new 24-hour day to explore and experience! By accepting each new day with a fresh, enthusiastic attitude, you can empower your life and make it more joyful. What could be blocking our realization of a new day? It stems from our ideas about ourself, others and the world around us.

When dealing with yourself, there are two things you can do — change your beliefs and change your behavior. If you believe that you are always late (and want to change that), then stop saying that you are always late. When you tell yourself “I’m always late,” the body and mind takes that as an instruction. In the same fashion, if you start affirming “I’m always on time,” that is taken as a directive and your subconscious and conscious mind will work at creating your new reality.

So start each day as a new day. Wipe the slate clean of grudges and any opinions you carry about yourself and others. Give people (including yourself) a chance to change. Give peace a chance! Realize that everyone is growing and evolving every day. We can assist in that process by seeing possibilities in people rather than limitations.

Each day truly is a gift and some people don’t even wake up to see the light of a new day! When most people do wake up and hear the alarm, they hit the snooze button and turn over to catch a few more z’s. Before they even get out of bed, they are avoiding the gift of the new day.

Don’t take the day for granted, and even this in itself will give you a new perspective. How we start our day in the morning can set the tone for the rest of the day. If you “get out of the wrong side of the bed”, have a negative attitude, grumble and complain while getting ready in the morning, and don’t eat a healthy breakfast, don’t be surprised if the rest of your day is less than satisfactory.

Give yourself a chance! Give everyone the room to grow by expecting the best from them. Rather than assuming people will behave ‘negatively’, give them the benefit of the doubt. Trust in the highest nature of everyone.

If we want to be a better person, if we want loving relationships, we start by changing our beliefs, our expectations. Then we change our actions. Behave more lovingly. Flavor our encounters with people to reflect more acceptance and love.

Expect the best! See people as the Divine Beings that they are. Visualize ourself and the world as a loving, peaceful, harmonious place. Give power to the best that we desire…

It’s all possible! After all, it is a new day. Treat yourself to a new perspective every day. Start to expect miracles and they will happen!

Rape and Its Types

.

What is Rape?

It is a type of sexual assault which usually involves sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration carried out against a person without that person’s consent. It could be carried out by physical force, coercion, abuse of authority, or against a person who is incapable of giving valid consent, or is below the legal age of consent.

In other words rape can be defined in most jurisdictions as sexual intercourse committed by a perpetrator against a victim without their consent. The definition of rape can be considered inconsistent between health organizations, law enforcement, health providers, and legal professions.

Rape is the fourth most common crime against women in India. According to the 2019 Annual Report of the National Crime Records Bureau, 32033 rape cases were registered across the country, or an average of 88 cases daily, slightly lower than 2018 when 91 cases were registered daily. Of these, 30,165 rapes were committed by perpetrators known to the victim (94.2 % of cases), a high number similar to 2018. The share of victims who were minors or below 18 – the legal age of consent – stood at 15.4%,down from 27.8% in 2018. On the other hand, rapes by juveniles remained high in India with 3 minors being arrested for rape, assault and attempted violence on women and girls each day in 2019.

Types of Rape:-

The types of rape are as follows:-

Date Rape:-

Date Rape is used to refer a non-domestic rape committed by someone who knows the victim, and drug facilitated sexual assault where the perpetrator intentionally drugs the victim with a date rape drug so that they are incapacitated.

Gang Rape:-

This type of rape occurs when a group of people participate in the rape of a single victim. Nowadays gang rape is widely reported to occur in many parts of the world.

Spousal Rape:-

Spousal rape is also known as marital rape, wife rape, this kind of rape between a married or couple without one spouse’s consent. Spousal rape is considered a form of domestic violence and sexual abuse.

Rape of Children:-

Rape of a child is a form of child sexual abuse.. When committed by a parent or other close relatives such as grandparents, aunts and uncles, it is also incest and can result in serious and long-term psychological trauma.

Statutory Rape:-

It is a non-forcible sexual activity in which one of the individual is below the age of consent (the age required to legally consent to the behaviour).  It usually refers to adults engaging in sexual activities with minors under the age of consent.

Prison Rape:-

This is the rape which occurs in the prison. This phrase is commonly used to describe rape of inmates by other inmates, less commonly to the rape of inmates by staff, and rarely to rape of staff by inmates.

Serial Rape:-

A Serial Rape is rape committed by a single person over a relatively long period of time and has committed on a number of victims. Most of the times these types of rapist are unknown to the victim and they follow a specific and predictable pattern of targeting and assaulting their victims.

Payback Rape:-

It is a form of rape which consists of the rape of a female, usually by a group of several males, as a revenge for acts committed by the members of her family, such as her father or brothers or husband or sons. This rape is meant to humiliate and bring shame upon the father or brothers or husband or sons, as punishment for their prior behaviour towards the perpetrators.

War Rape:-

These kind of rapes are committed by soldiers, combatants or civilians during a conflict or war, or during military occupation. It also covers the situation where girls and women are forced into prostitution or sexual slavery by an occupying power. During war, rape is often used as a means of psychological warfare in order to humiliate the enemy and undermine their morale.

Rape by Deception:-

When the perpetrator obtains the victim’s agreement to engage in sexual intercourse or other sexual acts, but gained it by deception, such as false statements or actions.

Corrective Rape:-

Corrective Rape is a hate crime in which one or more people are raped because of their perceived sexual orientation or gender identity. The common intended consequence of this rape, as seen by the perpetrator is to turn the victim heterosexual or to enforce conformity with gender stereotypes.

Custodial Rape:-

Rape perpetrated by a person employed by the state in a supervisory or custodial position, such as a police officer, public servant or hospital employee. This includes the rape of children in institutional care such as orphanages or crèche.

Cyber Bullying in India

Cyber bullying is a state when a person is threaten, harassed and is humiliated via mobile phone or Internet by a person or else by a group of persons. Cyber bullying can be considered equally offensive and harmful as bullying in real world is. In this modern era using social media account is very common which each one of us do and these accounts helps us to post pictures, data or anything a person wish to but these are often misleading by these bullies. Cyber bullying can be in the form of targeting of social media publically or by sending hurtful and   inappropriate messages. Cyber bullying can be considered as an extremely dangerous one because it allows the bullies to embarrass and harass any person at any time via any gadget and platform. Now a days everyone is quite familiar with social media networking be it a child, an adult or a senior-citizen and thus it becomes somewhat easier to be the victim or the suspect of such prejudice. It was found in a study that “1 in 3 high school students have been subjected to some form of bullying or cyber bullying.”

In the India Penal Code and the Information Technology Act suggest cyber bullying as an extremely serious offence which results in adequate punishment. This term was introduced by Bill Belsey who was a Canadian educator. Cyber bullying is that state of position where one can use information technology or communication technology to torture or harm the other person. Cyber bullying often results in victim getting into a brutal situation or every so often in a depressed state of mind. The basic motive behind this crime is to hurt a person; it can be a known or an unknown person too. In the case of bullying the suspect could be a powerfully person whether economically or socially than the victim. As per the report of the survey it was found that 63% of the children under the age of 18 are victim of cyber bullying. These bullying are of different types which involves mistreating blogs, private pictures, abusing a person via chat section and sending junk mails. Other than this, revealing personal data, pictures, harassing someone in groups or publically or stealing passwords as well as forcing someone else to bully the victim is also a kind of bullying. Cyber bullying can either be very simple one where the suspect do so using mails, messages, etc. but other than this bullying can also be in a vigorous form as sometimes the suspect starts to gang up against the victim and threats also gives sexual comments, spreads rumors, etc.

Cyber bullying is that wound that effects the person wholly and solely for lifetime. Ignoring or overcoming such bullies is not a permanent solution for it. At Indian Penal Code of 1860 in 2013, these stalking are considered as a great criminal offense. According to section 354C of IPC if any person who is caught bullying a female or taking of her private pictures or watch her when she is at her privacy than that person shall be penalized with sentence of one to three year in prison and also have to charge some fine.

Conclusion

Cyber bullying is a great offence and is also punishable in India. We people have the tendency to avoid things which later results as a devastating one. Cyber bulling also come under such category which can take an ugly shape with the course of time. As every second child is a victim of such cyber bullying there should be more laws and measures regarding it. These laws should be made keeping in mind the psychological state of the victim too. Smalls ignorance leads to heart-rending situations and stopping such bullying is crucial at this point of time otherwise these bullies could be left open and the only suffers will be the victim.

Is third dose required for Pfizer- BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine ?

The ongoing trial, conducted into the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine, has shown that a third dose can push antibody levels five to 10 times higher against the said variants of the coronavirus compared to the first two doses alone

The Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine, sold under the brand name ‘Comirnaty’, may require a third dose to work more effectively against the original strain of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), news agencies reported on Friday morning, citing a statement from the companies from a day ago. The third Covid-19 shot is also expected to provide better protection against the Beta variant, first identified in South Africa, and the Delta variant, found in India, as per interim data from an ongoing trial into the vaccine. Pfizer and BioNTech announced on Thursday that they would seek regulatory approval for the third dose of their Covid-19 vaccine, in view of the interim trial data which showed that a third dose can push antibody levels five to 10 times higher against the said variants of the coronavirus compared to the first two doses alone. This will, in effect, provide better protection than the current practice of administering two shots, the statement read.
The development comes after the vaccine was found to less effective against the Delta variant  of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. A study, published in the journal ‘Nature’, showed that a single shot of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, or even the AstraZeneca shot for that matter, “barely” induces any neutralising antibodies against the Delta Covid-19 strain.
The Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine was reportedly dropping in efficacy after six months, the Israeli government said earlier this week. According to Bloomberg, data from Israel’s health ministry showed the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine protected 64% of the country’s people against the virus between June 6 and early July, down from the earlier 94%.
This decline has been observed amid the emergence and rise in cases of Delta variant in the country, the data revealed. Commenting on the matter, Pfizer-BioNTech said that the third dose may be needed within six to 12 months after full vaccination for complete protection.
In light of these findings, Pfizer-BioNTech announced that the companies are working on a Delta-specific vaccine, the first batch of which has already been manufactured at BioNTech’s facility in Mainz, Germany. However, more studies are needed in this area and the companies anticipate the clinical trials to begin in August, subject to regulatory approvals.
“The companies expect to publish more definitive data soon as well as in a peer-reviewed journal and plan to submit the data to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), EMA (European Medicines Agency) and other regulatory authorities in the coming weeks,” the statement said.

THE EXCRETORY SYSTEM

Excretion

Removal of nirogenous waste produce during metabolism of protein and nucleic acid.

Human excretory system includes:-
Pair of kidney
Pair of ureter
Urinary bladder
Urethra

Function of kidney

Kidneys regulate the osmotic pressure of a mammal’s blood through extensive filtration and purification, in a process known as Osmoregulation.

  • Kidneys filter the blood; urine is the filtrate that eliminates wastes from the body via the ureter into the urinary bladder.
  • The kidneys are surrounded by three layers:
    1.  Renal fascia
    2. perirenal fat capsule
    3. Renal caps

EXTERNAL ANATOMY

A typical adult kidney (mass – 135–150 g) is:

10–12 cm- long
5–7 cm – wide
3 cm cm- thick

  • The concave medial border of each kidney faces the vertebral column.
  • Near the centre of the concave border is an indentation called the Renal hilum, through which the ureter emerges from the kidney along with blood vessels, lymphatic vessels and nerves.
  • Human kidney are Retroperitoneal(covered with peritoneum)
  • Present between 12th thoracic vertebrae to 3rd lumber vertebrae.
  • Left kidney is higher than the right kidney due to position of liver in right side.

Three layers of tissue

a) .The Renal capsule(Deep layer) – Smooth, transparent sheet of dense irregular connective tissue that is continuous with the outer coat of the ureter.

  •  It serves as a barrier against trauma and helps maintain the shape of the kidney.

b) The adipose capsule (middle layer) – Mass of fatty tissue surrounding the renal capsule.

  •  Protects the kidney from trauma and holds it firmly in place within the abdominal cavity.

c) The renal fascia(superficial layer) – Thin layer of dense irregular connective tissue

  •  Anchors the kidney to the surrounding structures and to the abdominal wall

On the anterior surface of the kidneys, the renal fascia is deep to the peritoneum

Internal anatomy

A frontal section through the kidney reveals two distinct regions:

  1.  Renal cortex (outer)
  2.  Renal medulla (inner).

The renal medulla consists of several cone-shaped renal pyramids.

The base (wider end) of each pyramid faces the renal cortex, and its apex (narrower end), called a renal papilla, points toward the renal hilum.

The renal cortex, smooth textured area extending from the renal capsule to the bases of the renal pyramids.

It is divided into an outer cortical zone and an inner juxtamedullary zone.

Ureter

Muscular tubes of 25-30cm length, 3m in diameter.

Wall of Ureter

  • Innermost-Transitional epithelium
  • Middle layer-Muscular(longitudinal and circular muscle)
  • Outermost layer – Tunica adventita.

Urine is move through ureter by peristalsis.

Urethra conduct the urine from urinary bladder to outside.
Female urethra is short.
Male urethra is long.

Urinary bladder

It is hollow muscular organ  that stores urine from the kidneys before disposal by urination.

In humans the bladder is a hollow distensible organ that sits on the pelvic floor

Nephron

Structure and functional unit of kidey.

Each kidney contain about 1 million nephron

Each nephron has 2 part

  • Glomerulus
  • Renal tubules.
  • Take a simple filtrate of the blood and modify it into urine.
  • Cleanse the blood and balance the constituents of the circulation.
  • Many changes take place in the different parts of the nephron before urine is created for disposal.
  • The term urine will be used here after to describe the filtrate as it is modified into true urine.
  • The principle task of the nephron population is to balance the plasma to homeostatic set points and excrete potential toxins in the urine.

RENAL CORPUSCLE

It CONSISTS OF A GLOMERULUS SURROUNDED BY A BOWMAN’S CAPSULE.

THE GLOMERULUS ARISES FROM AN AFFERENT ARTERIOLE AND EMPTIES INTO AN EFFERENT ARTERIOLE.

THE SMALLER DIAMETER OF AN EFFERENT ARTERIOLE HELPS TO MAINTAIN HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE IN THE GLOMERULUS.

THE BOWMAN’S CAPSULE IS DIVIDED INTO THREE LAYERS:

  • OUTER PARIETAL LAYER- MADE UP OF EPITHELIAL CELLS WITH MINUTE PORES OF DIAMETER 12NM.
  • MIDDLE BASEMENT MEMBRANE-IT IS SELECTIVELY PERMEABLE.
  • INNER VISCERAL LAYER-IT CONSISTS OF LARGE NUCLEATED CELLS CALLED PODOCYTE(BEAR FINGER-LIKE PROJECTIONS CALLED PODOCEL)

Renal tubule

It IS A LONG AND CONVOLUTED STRUCTURE THAT EMERGES FROM THE GLOMERULUS

IT CAN BE DIVIDED INTO THREE PARTS BASED ON FUNCTION:-

  1.  PROXIMAL CONVOLUTED TUBULE (PCT) –  IN THE RENAL CORTEX.
  2.  THE LOOP OF HENLE, OR NEPHRITIC LOOP – IT FORMS A LOOP (WITH DESCENDING AND ASCENDING LIMBS) THAT GOES THROUGH THE RENAL  MEDULLA.
  3. DISTAL CONVOLUTED TUBULE (DCT)- IN THE RENAL CORTEX.

Loop of Henle

Thick segment-Simple cuboidal epithelium
Thin segment-Simple squamous epithelium.

DCT

Distal  convoluted tubules

Cuboidal epithelium with fewer mitochondria and microvilli

  • Conditional reabsorption of water under the effect of ADH.
  • Na+ – Aldesteron
  • Ca²+ – parathyroid hormone
  • Reabsorption ofHCO3¯and secretion of H+, K+and NH3 to maintain pH.

Collecting duct

Cuboidal epithelium

Conditional reabsorption of water, Na+, Ca²+.

Permeability for urea

PCT

⅔rd of water reabsorption and 60% of glomerular filtrate is reabsorbed.

Water, Na+, Cl-, HCO3-, Glucose, vit. C, amino acid, K+and little amount of urea and uric acid.

Descending Limb-permeable to water only.

Ascending Limb– permeable to ions only.

Na+, Cl-, k+, Mg²+, Ca²+

Reabsorption is minimum.

Urine formation

1) Glomerular filtration
2) Tubular reabsorption
3) Tubular secretion

Glomerular filtration

  • WATER AND SOLUTES ARE FORCED THROUGH THE CAPILLARY WALLS OF THE Glomerulus INTO THE BOWMAN’S CAPSULE (GLOMERULARCAPSULE)
  • FILTRATE –THE FLUID THAT IS FILTERED OUT INTO BOWMAN’S CAPSULE.
  • Glomerulus filtrate-same as plasma but protein are absent.

Contains-Water, ions, Glucose, amino acid, water soluble vitamin, urea, uric acid etc.

Tubular reabsorption

OCCURS BOTH PASSIVE AND Actively.

GLUCOSE, AMINO ACIDS, AND OTHER NEEDED IONS (NA, K, CL, CA, HCO3) ARE TRANSPORTED OUT OF THE FILTRATE INTO THE PERITUBULAR CAPILLARIES ( REABSORBED BACK INTO THE BLOOD)

ABOUT 65% OF THE FILTRATE IS REABSORBED IN THE PCT.

AS THESE SUBSTANCES ARE Reabsorbed, THE BLOOD BECOMES HYPERTONICSO WATER EASILY FOLLOWS BY OSMOSIS.

REABSORPTIONIN THE DCT IS UNDER Hormonal CONTROL ALDOSTERONE CAUSES MORE SALT TO BE ABSORBED

ADH CAUSES MORE WATER TO BE ABSORBED

TUBULAR SECRETION

WASTE PRODUCTS SUCH AS UREA AND URIC ACID, DRUGS AND HYDROGEN AND BICARBONATE IONS ARE MOVE OUT OF THE PERITUBULARCAPILLARIES INTO THE FILTRATE; THIS REMOVES UNWANTED WASTES AND HELPS REGULATE PH

Urine

It is pale yellow in colour due to Urochrome pigment that is byproduct of red blood corpuscles(RBC) breakdown.

Around 1-1.5 litre of urine is formed per day.

PH =6 (vary 4.2 – 8.2)

It can be four times as concentrated as the blood i. e-1200mosmol/L.

Heavier than water

  • contain
  • 95% =water
  •  5%= urea, uric acid, K+, H+, NH4+, sulphate, hippuric acid, oxalate

Hindi a national language ?

There as been many controversy about this but as a south Indian who’s mother tongue is Tamil ,how do we see this thing ?. We are not only the one who is opposing hindi as a national language but this has been framed that we are the one opposing this thing. But practically India is a country which speaks more than 20 languages and tamil is one of the oldest.

the thing is we are not saying that Hindi should not exist but we don’t want them to force on every one if anyone wants to learn hindi they can. But some of them are trying to make people forget Tamil but is that what you think . you cant just make people forget there their mother tongue by forcing a language

I read this in a blog stating south Indian cant speak hindi but we are the people who knows hindi but refuses to speak hindi. The statement they are making is hindi is a profound language then what about Tamil it is the oldest language its is been here over 2000 years but yours is just 70 years old . Its funny right people are translating novels from tamil to their language not from hindi . you cant even compare it.

If you wanna make a language as a national language make English a national language because each and every country speaks English not Hindi . see before speaking about this just try to go through the history and you will know who is the real king and which is the 1st language that is spoken

Covid-19 THIRD WAVE.

Raising the alarm bells for policymakers and citizens, a research report has contended that India may witness the third covid wave from August 2021. The report – COVID-19: The race to finishing line – prepared by SBI Research, claims that the covid third wave peak will arrive in the month of September 2021.

The research report says that India achieved its second wave peak on 7th May. “Going by the current data, India can experience cases around10,000 somewhere around the 2nd week of July. However, the cases can start rising by the second fortnight of August,” the report said.

These are the highlights from the report:

1. Global data shows that on average third wave peak cases are around 1.7 times the peak cases at the time of second-wave.
2. However, based on historical trends the cases can start rising by the second fortnight of Aug’21 with peak cases at least a month later.
3. India has started giving more than 40 lakh vaccination doses per day as shown by 7 DMA.
4. Overall, India has fully vaccinated 4.6% of its population, apart from 20.8% having received one dose. This is still lower than other countries including the US, the UK, Israel, Spain, France among others.
5. The decline in bank deposits in FY21 and concomitant increase in health expenditure may result in further increase in household debt to GDP in FY22.
6. States with high per capita GDP have been associated with higher Covid-19 deaths per million while low per capita GDP are associated with low Covid-19 deaths.
7. Only 4.6 per cent of the population in India is fully vaccinated, while 20.8 per cent have received one dose, much lower compared to other countries including the US (47.1 per cent), the UK (48.7 per cent), Israel (59.8 per cent), Spain (38.5 per cent), France (31.2), among others.
