Do Fairy Tales Ruin Reality?

“Love doesn’t have to be perfect. It just needs to be true.”

These are the renowned line from the famous the “Beauty and the Beast”. Fairy tales and fables are the most essential part of an every children’s life which ultimately develops his or her imagination level. These stories and fables are something which we all have heard in our life. These fairy tales worlds seemed to be the most beautiful world in childhood for each child. Be it our childhood or adolescence these stories are admired by everyone. These tales tell us meaning of existence, behavior we should follow in life and moral norms which the society praises. Every girl wishes to be Cinderella and every little boy wish to be as smart and brave as Prince Charming was. All the beautiful castle and magic wards is the reason behind making our entire childhood fantastic.

After hearing all these stories and fables we all believe that identifying Prince Charming is very easy were the Prince Charming will always come in a white horse and the Beast will come wearing a black dress. But the reality is something opposite to it, where it is not mandatory that the prince will come on a white dress and the beast will come with black outfit. When we look at the situation of today’s generation we find that true love is pictured and looks adorable only is big screen and not in reality. Truth is money; power and position have successfully overpowered love. Childhood is the most innocent age where kids believe what they see but reality is very much different from it there is a huge difference between real life and reel life. Watching Cinderella with his Prince Charming might look adorable but the reality is if we turn the pages of the newspaper we may find that each day hundreds of Cinderella are burned and raped or is attempting suicide just because the one she thought her Prince Charming was actually a devil with the white horse. Another interpretation of it is since childhood we are taught that our prince will are come to rescue us whenever we are in a problem. This gives an exact mirror of our patriarchal society and out-dated thinking which is the male members always plays the role of a hero and he is the one who will always save his better half. This notion is put up in the minds of the kids since there childhood. Women are always considered inferior in front of society and needs a man or we can say her hero who will always come to save her life whatever the situation is.

I don’t think fairy tales ruin reality but it is the wrong person who projects to be the prince and at last we came to known that he is actually the devil in the getup of prince. What I feel is it is not mandatory to project only the boy as the hero of every story. Now days, girls are no less than man and a times are considered as better than mans. Also, every time a female is only demonstrated as the one who have negative characteristic. Summing up that, having male power is not necessary to be well-thought-out as hero. The one who knows how to tackle a situation and to know give back even more in return is the one considered as a hero.

World Population Day

World Population Day was established by United Nation and is celebrated on 11th July every year. Motivate behind setting up of such day is to put some light on the growing population. Earth’s population has massively grown now and its rate has explored to 8 billion and this ratio will increase rapidly with the course of time as well as it is expected to grow with devastating consequences.

UNFPA was established in UN to plan programs which works for population control measures. Its main purpose is to resolve all the issues that are rapidly increasing due to expanding population. Excessive population is a global problem faced by every country. The basic reason behind increasing population is over population which is growing rapidly. China is the country with highest population which is more than 116 million. States with second highest population is Maharashtra with the population of 93 million. And who can forget Bihar, as it’s the third highest state which is densely populated and is having 83 million people. World Population Day is an extremely important day which should be celebrated nationally as well as internationally. The motive behind celebrating this day is to spread awareness among people and also to inform about the cause and hasty effects of it. This day was declared on 11th July, 1990 and is observed every year the purpose behind the celebration of this day is to grab the attention towards the all the issues arising due to growing population. The issues which we face due to this increasing population are water pollution, air pollution, deforestation. We all knew that water is a limited resource and should be used very carefully. Covid-19 has one positive outcome which is it has reduced the pollution level. Because of complete lockdown the resources were not depleted and pollution was in control also the ozone layer depletion has reduced after the arrival of lockdown.  The growing population has led to increasing poverty lack of employment opportunity and poor education facility. As we all known that seats and job opportunities are limited and rate of population is growing day by day which is ultimately resulting in increasing poverty. If poverty is spread all around, how can the upcoming generation will get proper education? And if they are not properly educated how the poverty levels can will be maintained?
Thus, we can sum up that the root cause of every problem is the rapidly growing population which needs to be controlled as soon as possible. The aim of celebrating this day is to focus on the overpopulation and difficulties created because of it. Celebration of such days spread awareness among each and every citizen. Overpopulation ultimately harms the ecosystem too. In the year 2021 this day is celebrated with the theme of ‘impact of Covid-19 pandemic on fertility’. To prevent from such problems the parents needs to have proper family planning. Another, motive of celebrating it is to spread awareness about family planning and how it is useful, power to women when to have children and also gender equality. Gender equality can only be stopped when we will decide to quit our stereotypical thinking.

Teenage and Addiction

Adolescence is the age group which is extremely sensitive one. It is that stage of life when ones perception and behavior completely changes. Addiction is a chronic disorder which is characterized by consumption of drugs in spite of knowing that it has harmful consequences. Addiction to something directly results in creating a stressful situation if a person is caught in the trap of craving. Addiction to anything is like any other disorder which fallouts as an unhealthy body, lifeless mind, etc. sometimes addiction stayed lifetime with a person and ultimately leads to death. Addiction to anything is quite harmful and ultimately results in treacherous outcome.

When comes to drug and addiction teens come under highest rank. Adolescence is that stage of life when everything is new and people try it for the first time. Be it first time smoking, first glass of drink or first love. Teen age is the most difficult period of one’s life. Usually the reason behind teenager’s involvement in addiction is either to show off and become relax or it help in dealing with problems and social conflicts as well as for the sake of curiosity. But no matter whatever the reason such behavior is neither acceptable nor suits the teens. What is important is to identify at the right time that one is getting addicted. The person who is addicted has characteristic like regular mood swing, ignorance of appetite and hygiene, decline in family relationship, lack of self-motivation, a behavior which is too violent and aggressive. The characteristic are very common as it is of hormonal change thus it often makes difficult for people to identify whether they are caught in the trap of addiction to any substance or it’s just a normal hormonal balance in body. Adolescence and addiction is not just a problem from the teen but for the family too. Seeing the child going into the wrong path can be extremely dreadful for the parents as well. One should never ignore the teen problems as if often results in getting used to addiction which gives a disastrous results. Recognizing one’s own flaws and taking necessary steps to get rid of it important.  Addiction is divided into two categories. Where the first one is physical addition, where one acquires craving for drugs and the whole body becomes completely dependent upon that substance. The other one is psychological addition where the craving is psychological or full of emotion. In this people have the desire to have drugs anytime and anywhere.
Adolescence is the only stage where there are lots of ups and downs in one’s life. It is a phase between childhood and adulthood. With the arrival of this stage one needs to be extremely careful in life. Recovering from such disorders generally takes lifetime, it is not a process which can be rid in few weeks, rather than it takes long lasting treatment. There are many supports groups available which help the people in overcoming from this problem. As soon as the addiction is treated it gives a more powerful and successful results. Obsession of anything is a problem which need to be stop as soon as possible before it turn out to give a sever outcome.

Female Foeticide: A Tragedies Social Evil

Female Foeticide is a curse which is still practiced in the undeveloped parts of India. As it’s a major problem its frequency is increasing rapidly with the passage of time. We live in a country where maximum people are hypocrites. We are the one who puts up slogans like “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” on the other end of the spectrum if a baby girl is born she is cursed and treated as a burden. Women are always criticized and considered inferior than man but the most brutal killing of females takes place frequently even before they are born. Female Foeticide is the process when the female fetus is aborted took place inside the womb of the mother with the intension of greed of getting the baby boy. Killing a girl inside the mother’s womb is a matter of shame and is a great offense. It is illegal in India but is still practiced in the rural areas.

Every woman marries with the dream of getting a sophisticated family and Childers. In reverse what they get is a family which constantly pressures the female to give birth to a male child. In India, pregnancy is always followed end number of question whether the unborn is baby girl or boy. India is filled with people who have the obsession for the male child where the baby boy is always the reason of joy, celebration and happiness contradictory to it when a girl is born she is considered as a matter of economic drain and will always be a matter of debts for the family. We usually think that such offence are practiced by the people of lower section of society but this statement is not always true as it was found that in several cases the people belonging to the luxurious classes shift from India to other country just to know the sex as its illegal in our country India. People have a orthodox thinking that if a boy is born he is considered as an investment for the family as he is the one who will support the household throughout but when a girl is born since her initial breathing she is considered as an economic liability as one day they will get married with massive dowry. We live in a patriarchal society where bring up a boy is not a big task but if we keep an eye in the condition of the society keeping a girl safe is a matter of big deal. Some outdated thinker says that that a boy can be the reason of betterment of the family. We can see massive number of women who are against the birth of girl child. But one thing which they don’t realized is they too were born as girls.

Female Foeticide is problems of underlying disorder in which people have the perception that bearing a daughter in a family doesn’t create any economic sense also do not provide any social advantages. We live in a biased society that always favor’s male child more than the female one and this is quite noticeable from the declining sex ratio which is rapidly increasing. Summing up with, every being is a creation of Almighty and is a gift for us. One should learn to respect each gender it doesn’t matter whether it’s a girl or a boy. We all are human being and supporting such illegal offense is against humanity.

Mira Bai and her Devotion for Lord Krishna

One of the most prominent figures of the time of Bhakti Movement in India was the great Mira Bai. She was Lord Krishna’s greatest devotee and her love for his Lord was uncountable. She was the one who had a huge pattern of skills and had a keen obsession for spirituality. She was so much in love with Lord Krishan that she used to consider herself as his better half. Being in immense pain her love for him has alleviated her tedious pain and suffering. From birth to her journey in his in-laws family she always got a sophisticated and conservative household. But despite of all these love and comfort she chooses her painful suffering and demonstrated her soul passion for Krishna more relaxing. She publicly condemns the outdated thinking also refused to accept her marriage and all the martial pleasure she got. She has not only projected her love for her Lord in emotional lyricism but also presented her engrossment with Supreme of the Universe. Mira was a person who always believed in listening to her heart as a result she always refuse to accept caste and class and practice dancing and singing publicly and courageously in the temples and kept giving company to the people engage in Holy work.

In her poems she always expresses her strong desire and longing for her unification with her great Lord. Love is the predominant feeling in all of her poems. Through all her poems her deep love and her immense dedication for Lord Krishan could be easily identified. The Rasa which is predominant in her poem is the Shringar Rasa.  This rasa focuses on expressing love, romance, beauty, and aesthetic sense. It is the predominant rasa during the phase of adolescent; it is usually used with the agenda of attracting and showing the enormous love for the beloved. Through her aesthetic dance and music she shares her love for her divine Lord. In her maximum poems she association her Lord with the color blue and black which depicts that her beloved is the avatar of incredible God Vishnu who is linked with the color blue because of his association with water. Mira Bai’s husband is Kind Rana and he with his family members attempts to poison Mira because she was the one who was breaking all the laws and rules of the norms to make her beloved her own. Just like Krishna was poisoned by Putana when he was infant similarly she was also given poison. Thus, there was a parallel of line drawn between both of them. Still after so many attempts no one could separate Mira from her Divine Lord. In her poems she calls him as “Mountain Lifter” with reference to the story of little Krishna where he held up Mount Govardhan in his little finger to save the cattle from the rain God Indra’s wrath.  In one of her poem she talked about her marriage with her Lord. Her abiding belief about her marriage to Lord of Braj is demonstrated in her poem. She describes the marriage thou it was just a dream was extremely sensual and noticeable. She gives entire description about the guest, the rituals, the customs of Hindu traditions and the secret fire around which they are walking. In the poem “Let us go to a realm beyond going” she expresses her strong love and passion for her Divine Lord. She wishes to go to a kingdom of death where people are afraid of going. She wishes she could go to a world from where she can regain all her lost power. She wishes to dance in a distinctive cloth with ankle bell with her Dark Lord.

Mira Bai is a supreme and iconic devotee of Lord Krishna and she always considers herself her wife. Her initially love for him was at private but later it turn out to be an open one. The most unique thing found in her poem is that it has the ability to travel throughout the Indian Subcontinent. She created Sagun Poetry for her Dark Lord. The emotion which is highlighted in her poems is love, devotion and separation for her Divine. All the ups and downs she faced in her tedious life and her turbulent story itself gives us the inspiration that one should never lose hope, courage and love for the sake of society. All these characteristics of Mira Bai make her an immensely strong character.

Lockdown and Depression

Depression is a disorder of mood that involves a numb feeling with sadness, loss of interest in mundane life. In this stage of life a person feels fluctuation of mood that a person feels within the time period.  Depression is a stage which is more than the feeling of sadness and certain time can be a very serious illness. ‘Depression’ is term which has the characteristics of sadness, a feeling of loneliness, loss of hope in life, lose in appetite, a feeling of discourage, irritation as well as restlessness which frequently gives a shattering outcome. It is also called mood disorder which is divided into three categories:

  1. Major Depression
  2. Persistent Depression
  3. Bipolar Depression

It was found in a study that depression and its symptoms have increased three times much more just because of the entrance of Covid-19 lockdown. The arrival of such disastrous pandemic has led to the influx of traumatic event in such a huge scale. It caused physical, emotional as well as psychological distress in the mind and heart of people. Depression was another cause of making Covid-19 a
more massive outbreak. Before the arrival of this pandemic people suffered from this disorder at a ratio of 8.5% but in the recent time it has increased to 27.8%. Covid-19 is a virus which has created a hazardous environment by making separation physically with people however it has also created detachment in the heart of the individuals. In indulge our self determinedly to keep a safe environment by covering our face throughout, washing and sanitizing our hands regularly, and maintaining a gap of 6 feet
we all have forgotten that in creating a surrounding of social distancing we have ultimately created distance with our loved once and chipped away our mental health. Unquestionably, there are several factors present which increased the factors of depression in this Covid-19 were the increasing social isolation and gap within the people, economic hardship faced by the common man and other stressors were the real cause of it. As the date of lockdown started to extend the symptoms of depression also increased. The one who had a lower level of income and those who have savings less than Rs.5000 have suffered the most. But income was not the only factor the increasing insolation created the symptoms of depression in all social background people. Other prominent reason for depression in this lockdown was the increasing fights among family. As the fights increased more and more people stuck in the trap of this disorder. The uncertainty among future led to doubts and negativity in the heart of the people. If we look around our surrounding we may fights more fights and separation and less love in addition peace. Harmony and love is something which has lost its spark in this current generation. The arrival of such lockdown had disturbed the plans of people, the one who had planned to start a new job are the one who are suffering financially and finding difficulties in tackling the problem of mundane life. Other than this, the arrival of Covid-19 had result in loss of life of many people including our close once. It is quite disturbing to live a life without a person with whom we used to stay 24hrs.
Covid-19 and depression is a real outbreak which has caused a hazardous environment. It has not only disturbed out mental peace but has also created social distance in the heart of the people. On top of it, we all have no idea when this outbreak and suffering will end but let’s hope it end soon.

Raja: A Tribute to Mother Earth’s Menstrual Cycle

Odisha is a place where vibrant culture is followed with wonderful temples as well as amazing monuments. The coastal state is home to many prolific singers, artists and craftsmen and boasts of pristine beaches, wildlife sanctuaries, breath-taking landscape and enchanting natural beauty. Odisha is located on the eastern coast of India and lies between West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh. Tourists usually found this state as a place with offers diverse habitats- from lush green and hilly land to coastal plains and rolling river valleys of the Mahanadi, Baitarani, Brahmani and the Rushikulya rivers. Odisha is like an paradise which is till now not explored fully for tourists and travelers who come from all over the sphere to get a glimpse of Odisha’s rich culture and heritage. Being said so the heritage and rich culture of Odisha needs a little more limelight. Odisha has been breaking the taboo about menstruations and celebrating a festival dedicated to menstruations since ages. Its gives a tribute to Earth’s menstrual cycle.

Odisha is a state where womanhood is celebrated in a very unique and special way. A festival that is associated with the fertility of harvest of a woman. The festival Raja is being talked here and the name of the festival itself means menstruation .The term ‘Raja’ came from the Sanskrit word ‘Rajaswala’ meaning a menstruating woman. Raja celebrates a girl’s onset of womanhood as well as arrival of maturity in the form of menstruation. Raja Sankranti or Mithuna Sankranti is a three day long festival celebrated in Odisha. The second day of the celebration indicates the start of the solar month of Mithuna which starts as the rain starts. A notion is followed that the mother Goddess Earth or the divine wife of Lord Vishnu is undergoing with menstruation which will go for three day rest. The fourth day is called the Vasumati snana or the ceremonial bath of the Bhudevi.  In the medieval times this festival became more popular as an agricultural holiday marking the worship of Bhudevi, who is the wife of Lord Jagannath. A silver idol of Bhudevi is still to be found in the Puri temple beside the idle of Lord Jagannath. It is believed that land goes through regeneration during this period, an act synonymous to menstrual cycle of an unmarried girl or woman, which should not be ‘disturbed’. In the festival all the women and unmarried girls of the place are encouraged to look at their best way by wear new cloths and decorate them with alatha. Almost every other household adorns a swing, for the recreation of women and girls to be enjoyed during the festival.
A general belief is that if a woman menstruates it is a sign of fertility, and same goes in case of mother earth too i.e., menstruates. So all three days are considered to be menstruating period of mother earth. During the menstruating period all the agricultural activities remains suspended. As a mark of respect towards the mother earth on her menstruating days all the agricultural work comes to a standstill during these days. Significantly this is the festival of the unmarried girls, the potential mothers. They all observe the restrictions prescribed for menstruating women. As the very first day begins they make their hairs; they rub their bodies with turmeric paste and oil and then take the bath which is considered as the pure one in the river or tank. Peculiarly bathing for next two days is prohibited. They do not walk bare foot, do not scratch the earth, do not grind, do not tear anything apart, do not cut and do not cook. During all three days they are seen in their best dresses and decorations, eating cake and the rich food at the house of relatives and friends, spending long cherry periods, moving up as well as down and swinging, rending the village sky with their joyous spontaneous songs. With breaking all the taboo of menstruations Odisha pays a tribute to our mother earth’s menstrual cycle.

Sexual Harassment faced by the Women at Workplace

Sexual harassment is a worldwide problem faced by every woman at someplace and sometime in their life. Harassing any human being is just like an offense which goes against the human rights and gender equality. Harassing a woman has emerged from gender discrimination and is a strong interplay of masculinity, supremacy and sexuality. According to Article 14 of the Constitution “equality of status and opportunity” must be for every citizens weather it’s a male or a female, everyone is supposed to treat equally. Henceforth, living in a safe working place is the right of every woman. Our Indian Constitution suggests that it’s the right of every person to live a life which is free from discrimination, provocation, agony, etc. Sexual harassment of women is an uncivilized violation against right to equality and self-esteem. The basic root behind such harassment is our patriarchal society which considers man far more superior than females and violence against woman is acceptable. Sexual harassment creates an environment which often discourages females to take part in such jobs.

Now days, harassment at workroom is quite normal. Article 19(1) (g) of the Indian Constitution suggests that it is the fundamental right of women to pursue any profession or to carry any occupation. Such harassment erodes the notion of equality and opportunity. This ultimately brings a full stop at a person’s personal development as well as development of society. Sexual harassment of women is a serious problem and in a survey it was found that in every 12 minutes a women harassed at workplace but only in some case they file a complaint or complaint’s the concerned authority. All around the world we find sexual harassment is increasing day by day and it’s violating women’s right in addition to it sexual harassment is the imitation reflection of male dominant society. We live in a society where violence against women is abided by the patriarchal value. The harassment faced by the women here are not harmful one as compare to other offense. There was an act passed called The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013 which ensure a secured and healthy working place for women. Also, it aims to build an environment that provides equal opportunity and equality for women too. The arrival of such act was accommodating to contribute gender quality, liberty as well as equality in working circumstances. Security at workplace will ultimately results in economic development and wide-ranging growth of the country. Only few women accepts to do late night work and the reason behind it is the sexual assault they faced by the society. It has become our preconceive notion that if a women is working till late night the society can put forward question in her character but if a man work’s outside till late than he is considered as an hardworking dedicated man who is working so hard for his family.
We are still struggling to be a developed country and the basic ideology behind it is our outdated notion. If a female is harassed, tortured or embarrassed in public she is taught to accept it quietly without raising her voice and the reason behind it is our patriarchal society. Sexual harassment in workplace is not just a problem in India but it’s a global problem faced by every other working women. We all should keep in mind that we live in a free country where everyone is supposed to get equal respect and appreciation.

Life Lessons of Chanakya Neeti

Chanakya has always considered education as a person’s best comrade. Everything can go in vain but education is the only thing which never goes in vain. The only this which can beat a person’s beauty and youth is only education and hard work. An educated person is respected everywhere and have a fair idea of what is correct and what is not correct. Chanakya had always said in this Neeti that one should learn from the mistakes of other. Life is too short and we can’t live long enough to make them all our self so we should adapt from others mistake rather than becoming a victim throughout the life.  He also suggests that one should never share his or her secrets to anyone it can destroy you fully. One truth which he said was God is not present in temples he considers feelings as God and soul as temple. Starting any work is quite easy but the key element of success is one should always ask three question to his inner self. First is, what am I doing? What will be the consequences of this? Will I be successful? As soon as one gets the answer of the entire three questions and is satisfied he can go ahead with his work. He considered Dharma as permanent rest all comfort, luxuries, beauty and power is temporary so one should always be adhere to their Dharma. One of the most famous outlines of Chanakya Neeti was:

“No gift is better than the gift of cereal and water, No date is better than Dwadeshi, No mantra is greater than Gayatri Mantra and no God is greater than a Mother.”

He also said that a person should not be too honest in their life. He gives the example of tree calling straight trees are cut down first so a person should be keen and clever only then he can live a satisfactory life. Chanakya said that man is responsible for his own deeds plus actions and he is the one who will suffer the consequences of all good and bad that will happen to him. He said that Lord Rama is an ideal man and Lord Hari is sustainer of world. His ideology says that one should always be satisfied with his wife, his food and with his wealth; but never be satisfied with the studies, his austerity and penance and with his donation to gifts to the needy one.

“This world, in the form of a tree, has two nectarous fruits: sweet speech and good company.”

Chanakya said that good company has the supremacy to create noble elements in a soul of a wicked person but a wicked company cannot generate wickedness in noble man. He commented on the donation system by giving example of the bound water which should always have litter flow which means one should develop the practice of donating wealth to the one who really need it. According to him the meat eaters, wine takers are considered as fools as animals and these people do not have the ability to judge what is good for them and what is dangerous. He refers arrogant person as a jackal who did not believed in giving charity. In his Chanakya Neeti, Chanakya took up rhetorical question several of times in dramatic manner saying that the place where there is no wise, intelligent and noble person reside and people are engage in looting that place is denoted as a gutter and the people staying there are just like the insects. Chanakya Neeti portrays us the four basic aims in every man’s life which is Dharma, Artha, Kaam, and Moksha. When a person fails to achieve any of the four his life is considered purposeless.

Therefore, I would like to sum up by saying that Chanakya Neeti is itself too wide and this was just a few glimpse of it. But we all will agree with some point of time that there is no philosopher greater than Chanakya and his Neeti is brim-full of positivity.

A General Overview of Peer Pressure

Peer is a Latin word which signifies equal. The peer also includes people with same status, sport teams or people of same community. We often get influence by our peers as the way they dress, act, talk as well as their body language. Peers have a greater role in a person’s life. They help in aiming and accomplishing desirable goals in our life. Peer has a great influence in every person’s life.

It’s our human tendency that we learn and adapts from others same goes in case of peers where we learn from them. Peer pressure often results in other person adopting the same thing. Usually we take on the habits followed by the persons of our age group or by social group with respect to time. As an example we can say that at a very tender age children adopt the habit of consume alcohol due to its peer pressure. Frequently peer pressure results as creating a stressful stage where weather one is comfortable or not he or she is forced to follow the pressure made by the peers. Some common examples of it are shoplifting, consuming drugs and taboos, drinking alcohol, doing hazardous task while driving and getting physically intimated without the will. In the case of peer pressure expression could be made directly or indirectly. Getting in touch with peers is not bad but influencing the peers and forcing them to do something without their wills is really upsetting on. We human being has the tendency to become curious and try new things but this may often lead to diverting our path from virtuous judgements. The factors under which a person’s peer pressures depends on:
1)    High self-esteem
2)    Goals and a optimistic viewpoint on future
3)    Good social skills
4)    The capability to act together with people from many different background
5)    Strong connections with family and community.

Types of Peer Pressure
1.     Positive Pressure- Peer pressure is not always bad sometimes the peer may force you to adopt habits which are good for your health and social status too and also help in making good decisions in life as well as tackling the difficulties of life.
2.     Negative Pressure- It is basically a negative pressure imposed against the will of the person. They often results in
a negative outcome and can also be dangerous.

Is peer pressure useful?
Sometimes we find positive influence in peer pressure as there can help or give proper guidelines to us, they may help us in getting rid of any negative addiction, deal with the hardship of life, getting financial, emotional and mental support too. So, if we say peer pressure can be useful sometimes and in some case this statement could be partially true.
Is peer pressure harmful?
Occasionally, the pressure made by the peers can also be a destructing. We often see people in excess burden and the reason behind it frequently is peer pressure made by our friends, colleagues, etc. When a peer pressurize one to do things with the sake of being acceptable by the society which the other person feels uncomfortable leads to a result which can be venomous.

Conclusion
Peer pressure can be counted as playing an efficient role in self-development of a person by motivating, helping in tackling hurdles in life, giving comradeship, providing emotional and mental support. We all will agree at some point of time that we cannot live a life without having peers. A time they give healthy competition and boost up the power and ability of one. But if there is positivity there is negativity too. We find peers everywhere it can be school, collages, office, play-ground etc. No one is exempted from peer pressure but it completely depends on us how we tackle the circumstances. Life gives opportunity to all and ultimately brings out the best version of us. We may turn to a wrong path or fall several of times but a true sportsman spirit is when we develop the habit of never quitting and accepting all the flaws and moving ahead.

Say No to Mensuration Taboos

Mensuration is the natural reproductive process tackled by every female which can be a direct indicator of their adolescence stage. It usually occurs with the age of 12 to 15 years. We all live in a modern era where staying at a living relationship is quite normal and acceptable but the menstrual blood is still considered as a stigmatizing mark. Comparing it with other bodily fluid like breast milk or semen, menstrual blood is considered as the most impure and filthy one. When a woman is in her mensuration she is believed as dirty and unclean. In some countries mensuration is said to be magical where the family give treats and celebrate as the arrival of mensuration depicts the femaleness and adulthood of the girl. On the other end of the spectrum it is considered poisonous where the female are considered dirty and unhygienic.

There are several social and cultural taboos which directly relates to mensuration. These myths were originated since the Vedic time. According to the Hindu customs the female who are in there days are forbidden from taking part in the mundane activities. Also before entering to her normal days she needs to get purified. But scientifically we can that the actual reason behind mensuration is ovulation followed by missed chance of pregnancy which ultimately results in bleeding. Thus, if we see scientifically there is no presence of impurity in mensuration rather it’s a biological process which has an essential role in a female’s life.
There are end numbers of restriction faced by the females of the society during these five days. Entering the puja room as well as kitchen is strictly forbidden during mensuration.  Other than this if a girl is on her days she is not allowed to offer prayers to God or even touch holy books or else holy things. In several place it is said that mensuration is that phase when the girl is extremely impure and unhygienic and in case they cook the food it can also get contaminated. There are some more famous myths that if a female touches pickle during her days it could turn to be inedible because the body releases some smell that directly make the food uneatable. But if we see scientifically till date there is no reason found which could suggest mensuration as the primary reason for making food inedible. Whereas, religious and cultural taboos suggests this period is connotation with evil spirit, disgrace and a time embarrassment too. In some cultures females are forced to burn the clothes used during periods to avoid evil presence and black magic, surprisingly such notions and beliefs are still practiced in a country like India. In some parts of our country consuming sour foods are not allowed during periods as it could disturb the flow of blood.
Taboos on mensuration are really disgraceful and have an ill effect on the females state of mind, emotion as well as it affect them mentally and physically too. There are certain health hygiene issues too faced by the females as in the ruler area still the girls used old clothes repeatedly. Because of all these myths of mensuration there are certain health issues in the reproductive organs too as not taking bath can results in compromising in the hygiene.
Mensuration and its taboos are never-ending and these myths are faced by every girl at some point in their life by overcoming such myths are possible. The only thing we have to do is spread awareness. Making people aware has a key essential role in fighting against this battle. And this could be only succeeded when there is proper literacy. The women should be empowering by education and should know how to make self-decision in life. The sanitary napkins should be lower in cost so that it could be affordable for the people living in the slum areas too. There should be more programs organized related to mensuration are its role in a person’s life. Summing up that everything has certain pros and cons it depends on us how we take it.

Cyber Bullying in India

Cyber bullying is a state when a person is threaten, harassed and is humiliated via mobile phone or Internet by a person or else by a group of persons. Cyber bullying can be considered equally offensive and harmful as bullying in real world is. In this modern era using social media account is very common which each one of us do and these accounts helps us to post pictures, data or anything a person wish to but these are often misleading by these bullies. Cyber bullying can be in the form of targeting of social media publically or by sending hurtful and   inappropriate messages. Cyber bullying can be considered as an extremely dangerous one because it allows the bullies to embarrass and harass any person at any time via any gadget and platform. Now a days everyone is quite familiar with social media networking be it a child, an adult or a senior-citizen and thus it becomes somewhat easier to be the victim or the suspect of such prejudice. It was found in a study that “1 in 3 high school students have been subjected to some form of bullying or cyber bullying.”

In the India Penal Code and the Information Technology Act suggest cyber bullying as an extremely serious offence which results in adequate punishment. This term was introduced by Bill Belsey who was a Canadian educator. Cyber bullying is that state of position where one can use information technology or communication technology to torture or harm the other person. Cyber bullying often results in victim getting into a brutal situation or every so often in a depressed state of mind. The basic motive behind this crime is to hurt a person; it can be a known or an unknown person too. In the case of bullying the suspect could be a powerfully person whether economically or socially than the victim. As per the report of the survey it was found that 63% of the children under the age of 18 are victim of cyber bullying. These bullying are of different types which involves mistreating blogs, private pictures, abusing a person via chat section and sending junk mails. Other than this, revealing personal data, pictures, harassing someone in groups or publically or stealing passwords as well as forcing someone else to bully the victim is also a kind of bullying. Cyber bullying can either be very simple one where the suspect do so using mails, messages, etc. but other than this bullying can also be in a vigorous form as sometimes the suspect starts to gang up against the victim and threats also gives sexual comments, spreads rumors, etc.

Cyber bullying is that wound that effects the person wholly and solely for lifetime. Ignoring or overcoming such bullies is not a permanent solution for it. At Indian Penal Code of 1860 in 2013, these stalking are considered as a great criminal offense. According to section 354C of IPC if any person who is caught bullying a female or taking of her private pictures or watch her when she is at her privacy than that person shall be penalized with sentence of one to three year in prison and also have to charge some fine.

Conclusion

Cyber bullying is a great offence and is also punishable in India. We people have the tendency to avoid things which later results as a devastating one. Cyber bulling also come under such category which can take an ugly shape with the course of time. As every second child is a victim of such cyber bullying there should be more laws and measures regarding it. These laws should be made keeping in mind the psychological state of the victim too. Smalls ignorance leads to heart-rending situations and stopping such bullying is crucial at this point of time otherwise these bullies could be left open and the only suffers will be the victim.

AN EDUCATION TO POOR CHILDRENS IN OUR SOCIETY

Education is the word that means learning. We all know that education is very important in this modern period of time, without education in this modern era no one will success in their life, it’s important for everyone. In our country India education system on previous time such as 15 to 20 years ago is very bad in condition or very weak; the children’s who are belong from poor family they have no money to educate themselves, as we know that on that time there is no equality in the society male were dominating the whole of the society. And slowly the changes are has been made in the society people changes their thinking first of all o previous time education is not considered so much important in the society but in this modern period of time education is compulsory for all. There are many projects that are launched recently in India that are doing a very good work by giving education to children’s who are poor and can’t afford the education fees. They will provide education along with training and development of every single individual and for achieving the position from developing country to a developed one it is necessary to educate each and every individual in their life. In this modern era children want to educate in their life because they know that without education they will can’t do anything in their life. There are many universities and colleges which provide scholarship in their campus for free education which will creates a great opportunity for a poor individual who are not able to pay their fees due to poverty. If someone has a skill and ability to do any work but he have no education then he cannot implement the skill on his work.

There are three groups of people such as the higher class, the middle class and the last one is lower class which is below poverty line. The difficulties are specially faced by the middle class and the lower class because they will not afford the fees of a very big university. Therefore education seems difficult to this class of people group. Education also helps in developing the personality and increase confidence. An individual who is belonging from a poor society, if he becomes educated then he have to do something for society also. May be he will open a school in his area where really it is tough to being educated. The places such as village where schools are very far and it become difficult to go school daily for education. From my point of view it seems to be a very difficult task for those children who have to cross the river, there is no vehicle and in season of monsoon it creates more challenges that have to face by the children. But the good thing is that the education system of India is developing slowly, and it is good news for those children who want to becoming educated in their life. In village areas one more problem is initiated that the children who have time for study insist of that they have to work for his home such as in field of framing, he have to cuts wood from jungle for cooking , and many more the ;list is very big and different types of children have different types of problem.

So we have to change the thinking of the poor people, that how much education is an important tool to us and how its impact in the whole career of the children. It is found that in poor family basically that someone father is a farmer then later his son also becomes a farmer, then it will passing from generation to generation. Therefore it is necessary to change the thinking of poor people. So the parents are also plays a important role in every children life that where they want to send their children for education or insist of that the work that has been followed generation after generation from this there future may be spoil. And if they will send their children for education then he will success in their life and it is good for the living society also from which he belongs too from that one individual, many individual motivated towards him and giving importance to education in their life. Therefore the point is that we have to know the truth of the society that yes till now also there are many villages where education is difficult to get. We have to join government and private programs that are related to education in the backward areas and helping them to motivate every single individual towards the education.
