WHO says surge of COVID-19 cases across world is due to simultaneous peaking in different countries

The World Health Organization has said, the record levels of new daily COVID-19 cases are due to the fact that the pandemic is peaking in a number of big countries at the same time and reflect a change in the global activity of the virus.

At a media briefing in Geneva yesterday, WHO’s emergencies Chief Dr Michael Ryan said, the numbers are increasing because the epidemic is developing in a number of populous countries at the same time.

Dr. Ryan noted that numerous countries have noted marked increases in hospital admissions and deaths – neither of which could be explained by increased testing. There definitely is a shift in that the virus is now very well established, Dr.Ryan added.

How to attract people in first 90 seconds- Must read!!!

These are the secrets from an amazing book called “How to Make people like you in 90 seconds or less” by Nicholas Booth Man. Likable people are always open, welcoming and friendly in nature and you can notice their sincerity, trust, and self-confidence in their behavior as well, and you can develop all these qualities in yourself by meeting other people in a regular manner. If other people do not find you interesting in first 90 seconds after meeting you, then they would want to get rid of you as soon as possible.

How to Maintain Communication and Culture as a Growing Startup ...

If you want that people like you more, then you have to invest your efforts from the very beginning, and this starts even before you speak a single word from your mouth. Any new person notices three basic things just after meeting you, these three things are your

  1. Body language
  2. Your eyes
  3. Expression on your face

Thus, it is essential that when you meet anyone, these three elements give the feeling of openness to other people. For doing this, you will have to show your interest in them, along with your body, you will have to move your brain as well toward them. This effort will show your sincerity and commitment and openness in the conversation and in them as well after this, you need to see directly in the eyes of other people, this establishes the trust and as soon as you make an eye contact with other person make sure you give a genuine smile to them before they think or assume anything else about you. Let your positive attitude shine with a broad and genuine smile with this simple action, other people will consider you as a genuine, open and sincere person with this simple effort, you already made a warm and welcoming mood for the situation, and now you need to initiate by introducing yourself. You can do that with a standard greeting, like Hi or hello and you must need to do that in a very pleasant tone. Along with that make sure you share your first name to the other person and it will encourage the other person to introduce themselves for example, you can say,….”Hello, I am Akash”. When you say this, then the other person will also share his or her name with you, and as soon as they share their name, you must need to repeat their name like wise you said… “Hello, I am Sahil” you got response… “Hi, I am Sohil” now you have to say, “Sohil, Nice to meet your Sohil.” In his famous book, “How to win friends and influence people,” Dale Carnage shared the fact that the name of any individual is the sweetest sound in the entire world for that person that is why it is essential that you repeat other person’s name in the conversation as much as possible. This method will increase your acceptance and respect, it will also make it easier for your to memorize their name. And finally, you have to lean forward slightly. Just a little leaning would be enough, just like Mr. Obama is slightly leaning forward in this photo.

How To Give A Proper Handshake - Business Insider

With your slight inclination, other people will assume you are showing interested in them, and you are listening to them carefully, also, it will give you a pleasant appearance. Just look at photo and tell who is looking more generous in both of them. Of course, it is Mr. Obama, because he is using this principle.

Studies proved that people hire those people that are similar to them and even most of the time they date people with similar people because they make them feel safe and comfortable. If you try to pay attention, you will find, you enjoy the company of those people who think like you, who behave like you and those who make you feel comfortable. You can be comfortable for them just by synching your voice with their voice. The synching of voice is a very powerful tool in communication skills for this, you need to speak at the same pace as other people are speaking that means if they talk slow, then you should not run fast and second thing, you shall try to use the same tone similar to them. If they are calm and relaxed, and you will speak loudly or with excitement, then it won’t work well for you. You need to use same volume and you need to relax while talking. With this, other people will think you are like them and they will feel more comfortable while talking to you.

In 1979, Dr. Lisa Berkman did a study on 7000 people, and this study lasted for 9 years with this study, she found that people that do not have more social connections or those who do not meet other people, they get ill more often, and it increased their chances of earlier death as well and who meet other people more often, were likely to live longer. So, go and expand your social circle without having any fear, without any complications.

Devi: A Nudge to the Society, A Short film to Unveil the Paradox, 2020

A powerful suspense drama 13 mins Hindi short film Devi directed by Priyanka Banerjee, endorses the concept of femininity. ‘Devi’ is a Sanskrit word that means ‘Goddess’. The short film “Devi” unites some women who are coming from different backgrounds but a victim of the same kinds of situations like sexual assault, rape, domestic violence, and so on.
This short film is confined in a room but the use of camera and script didn’t let the audience feel monotonous. With the help of close shots, the expression of the characters has become so vividly exposed that the movie reached another dimension. There is a clean play with time, the continuous cut gives an engaging effect to the audience during the conversation of the characters. There are characters like urban alcoholic ( Shruti Hasan), English speaking city dweller (Neha Dhupia), Urban clad lady, a mute girl, there is a medical practitioner girl, housewives, primitive ladies and more. But among them, Kajol is a very calm and silent yet fierce figure who is the pivot of family. The character is god worshipping and it produces a motherly figure and women omnipotence. The scene fades in with a girl slapping on the television to start it. Then by wide shot, the camera covers the different activities of others present in the room. Then with some shots, we get a glimpse of other activities to get some ideas about the other characters. We come to know about the characters when a debate starts on coming to a new member of the family. Everyone disagrees stating their problem to adjust. As the situation escalates, a quarrel starts between Marathi the old lady, and Neha Dhupia. Ultimately Kajol as the avatar of the goddess convinced them to let the new member referring their helpless situation when they came into the house. Kajol is doing a task like glue to take the victims in the same room. Ultimately when the new member comes in, it breaks the heart of everyone, even the audiences. It was a little girl of maybe 5 or 6 years. The camera takes a shot from the back of the girl revealing half of the girl’s body. The little girl goes and hugs the old Marathi lady. At this moment another news of the rape of a little girl on the television takes every characters’ attention, they look at the television with tearing eyes. The scene fades out.
In this egalitarian world and an era of women empowerment, the safety of women’s physical and mental dignity remains a paradox. The movie doesn’t reveal the face of the little girl probably not to specify one girl because in every minute a girl like her is being victimized. So the little girl is the representation of each girl in the country. We can see the evil representation of the society where irrespective of age, class, status, women are being victimized. This is a film, portraying how the women are fighting to survive to bear the brutal stab of the society. The film also gives a message of positivism that if one door closes the other opens. God saves the best for everyone. Here in the film, Kajol plays a character of the avatar of goodness who rescues everyone’s life.
I think everyone should watch this movie to have an idea of how social vultures are continuously chasing to win over. Moreover, it also learns problems can’t be bigger than one’s life. If a little adjustment can save one’s life then it’s far more peaceful than mundane some comforts. It will leave everyone thinking if not me then who?

Confidence Zooming : Massive Success Secrets !!!!!!!!!

I think my magic power is the ability to act confident even when I feel completely sick to my stomach. I seem to be really good at masking certain emotions and using confidence as a mask is something people may mistake as me actually being confident.

The deep hard truth is, I’m not as confident in myself as I may always seem! I love to give people advice about confidence as if I do the same thing, where as I’ve been trying that ‘fake it until you make it’ process since like year 8!

So I have had an interesting journey with confidence from thinking I was the sexiest beast in all the land in primary school to being CONSISTENTLY called ugly and that I looked like a boy in year’s 7 and 8, to being bullied on snapchat in year 11-12, not showing small things like my nose or ears in photos because of how self conscious I was,  all the way to body confidence issues and self harm.. Confidence is something I have always been chasing!

But over the years I think there are things I have taken from all these experiences and can apply to grow in confidence, so maybe we can do these things together?

Focus on your achievements, not your failures – I no longer class the somewhat knocking events of the past as ‘failures’ because i can safely say, that although they brought me down to some of my lowest points, I’M STILL HERE TODAY. I LIVED THROUGH THAT! I’m not saying I’m glad it happened, but I can’t change the past, it has helped me to grow.  But this can be applied to any kind of achievement, that’s just my personal relevant anecdotal achievement.

The fake it till you make it technique does work to a degree, so slowly but surely maybe using that and incorporating that into your everyday would be helpful.

I found that throwing yourself in the deep end, and doing something completely out of your comfort zone is good for confidence building, something as simple as the move from home to uni has noticeably helped me to develop my confidence!

Focus on WHO you are! We all have friends, and they all love something about us, what do you love about yourself? only focus on what you love about yourself and soon enough you’ll love every inch of yourself !

Stop focussing on the future, and spend some time appreciating the here and now! We are on a rock floating around in space, it has been perfectly placed, if it were but 5cm either way human life wouldn’t be a thing!

Dance like no one is watching, who is to tell you who you are and what you can do, as i just said, we are miraculously on this God given earth, for all of ONE life. WHY should we care what anyone thinks of us at the end of the day! If you wanna do something and people aren’t supportive of it, or if you want to go and dance in the rain and the people around you are judging you rather than joining you… THEY’RE NOT YOUR PEOPLE.

Don’t Let Them Underestimate You!

There are a variety of qualities to a person that make them very unique compared to their peers and others.

However, there are some certain qualities that stand out more than the others do and these qualities are the ones that define your genuine personality to the rest of the world.

There is always room to improve when it comes to shaping yourself in the image that you desire most. While you are progressing and growing up, try to keep these seven qualities in mind.

1. Only You Can Make You Happy

When it comes to finding happiness you know that there isn’t a single person alive who is going to come along and make you feel as happy as you could make yourself.

This doesn’t mean that you are a selfish person, but in fact it makes you a very resilient individual who knows exactly what they need in order for them to be happy.

Sure, having others fulfill your desires is also amazing, however, you decide not to depend on anyone else but yourself.

2. Viewed As A Fantastic Role Model

People are constantly turning to you for guidance when they are in need of help with perfecting their own lives.

You carry yourself in such a way that makes others inspired, enamored, and even overjoyed just to know that a person like you exists.

There is something about your personality that makes others want to walk in your footsteps.

3. Guided By Intuition

Your intuition is your constant guide through life, leading you to the next best thing that awaits you on your long journey of growing up.

There is a lot that can be said about you and your gut instincts when it comes to making tough decisions.

You don’t get scared easily because you know that your intuition will lead you somewhere just as amazing as the last adventure you had.

4. Never Codependent

There is never a time in your life where you feel as if you need to depend on someone else for anything at all.

You prefer to be your own person, even if you are in a relationship with someone else you still prefer to do things your own way.

Being dependent on someone else for trivial needs is something you try to avoid and will go great lengths to show others just how capable you are being on your own.

5. Filled With Kindness And Compassion

You love to demonstrate the meaning of compassion as well as kindness to others so that they can understand that spreading love is a necessary piece of your existence.

Showing others just how passionate are with the things that you love to do most as well as being with the people that you love most.

This is one of the best qualities to a personality that not everyone gets to witness.

6. Extremely Courageous

You are a person who exudes confidence and that confidence makes you extremely desirable to everyone else.

There is a certain glow about your personality that brings out the best in others that they look up to your courage with inspiration in their eye’s.

This goes hand in hand with you being one of the best role models is because of how courageous you really are. There isn’t a single challenge or adversity that you will not face down yourself.

7. You Always Love Yourself

Even with the bad times in life you still find a way to love yourself no matter what happens to you.

Of course you know that there will be times where you aren’t as perfect, ready, or experienced yet to do some of the things you’d really like to do, however, you still love every piece of you regardless.

There will always be room to improve and that means that you are going to work really hard for that success.

You are an extremely unique individual if you possess any of these qualities to your personality. Though there are many others, these ones stand out the most when others are looking for a genuine personality.

PLANNING IN MANAGEMENT

Planning is deciding the objectives and methods to achieve them. Planning involves deciding in advance what is to be done, how is to be done, where is to do, how is to done and by whom is to be done and it makes things happen which may not occur otherwise and it bridges the gap between where we are and where we want to go, the process of planning includes two things:

             1. Deciding objectives

             2. Choosing best from available alternatives

Planning is a fundamental managerial function planning implies an arrangement for doing something as considered in advance and simple words, planning is deciding in advance and Prof. Urwick rightly said: “Planning is fundamentally a mental predisposition to things in an orderly way, to think before acting and to act in the light of facts rather than guesses”. Thus, a plan is a predetermined course of action and it is an attempt on the part of a manager to anticipate the future to achieve better performance, and planning is based on the principle, Look before you leap’.

CONCEPT OF PLANNING

Planning requires goals and it focuses attention on purposes and determines ways achieving them and planning is necessarily a problem of choice and it involves the selection of the most feasible course of action from all available alternatives. Planning is a means of building a bridge to span the present position of the firm with its desired future position. It implies the work of both problems solving as well as decision-making. Man possesses a unique power of reasoning and he often evaluates the pros and cons before proceeding further into the matter.

NATURE OF PLANNING

1. Planning focuses on achieving objectives:

Planning is to facilitate the attainment of objectives of the organization and planning focuses action on purposes. Planning is merely an empty mental exercise if it loses sight of the organizational objectives and every plan should contribute towards the achievement of company goals. Thus, all plans are directly linked with the goals and objectives of the enterprise and contribute to its attainment and if there are objectives, there is no need for any planning.

2. Planning is a primary function of Management

Planning is a primary function of management and a manager must perform efficient and intelligent planning before performing any other managerial activities. Thus, planning comes before the execution of all other managerial functions. Planning function of management has the distinction of establishing objectives and all managerial efforts of organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling are directed towards their attainment.

3. Planning is pervasive  An element of planning can be seen behind every human activity in an organization and God has gifted man with the faculty of reasoning and this enables a person to measure the consequences of his planned actions and we can quote several examples where planning precedes individual or group action. Planning is a pervasive activity covering the entire enterprise will all its segments and every level of management. Top management does strategic planning, middle management looks after the administrative planning and the lower management concentrates on operational planning.
